Nice job! The audio was really impressive, and the art in the opening scenes was top notch! Gameplay was a little hard to control, but the use of theme tied into it nicely. Good stuff!

A radical way to break free from corporate rat-race. Got me laughing a couple of times, the office scene is beautiful and that boss fight was intense. That sound of appearing text though is absolutely excruciating! Overall cool experience.
Really nice game. The elevator music xD xD. Really great job. Big thumbs up.
Music is awesome, gameplay is very fun!! lore is humorous ... this is of the most perfect prototypes i've played
you should add some cue that pressing red button exits the game
Fun game (love the elevator sequence with music), with a beautiful message ! Maybe little short but good job !
One of the fun games in which I had to play)) It really cheered me up. NICE!
It was really fun and the art and sound were a great touch. After beating my boss I ran around throwing everything some more for about a couple minutes. I loved that mechanic. I wish it could have been a little longer, I understand it was a short time frame but it would have been nice to at least beat some security up on the way to the boss fight. Seems like there was enough existing code to have accomplished that, but I understand the crunch.
Either way, good job, and not to mention that this idea was hilariously executed, a good maniacal yet imaginably relatable take on the theme.
This was fantastic. The destruction was a nice break from the other games and I really enjoyed the sfx, music and art style! Great work!
Looks so good. Animation is also so well made! Nice one!
@green-rail Yeah sorry about about the loud text sound, I believe it's been adjusted now. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
I could only wish for it to be longer. It was so damn polished though, easily the most polished that I have played thus far.
Heh! This one made me smile. Lovely graphics and soundtrack too.
This was fun, and I was actually disappointed I didn't get to play more of it. I would have preferred less exposition and more game, but I understand that making the cut scenes probably didn't give you much time for that.
Good mood, I quite don't get exactly how to precisely damage the boss. But since we have so much life, I just threw stuff randomly until he died ^_^
Throwing stuff is always fun, 'nuff said :p
Drop box link is invalid?
Had a hard time damaging the boss and the elevator ride was looong but the idea was interesting and music GREAT!!
This game is too real haha. Great take on the theme! The graphics and audio are well done and it's fun to play. I would have liked to see more levels but considering the overall level of polish this is very impressive with the given time frame. Great job!
@designernap It should be working now.
That's a great game, i really love the art and the humor !
Haha! Funny game and wonderful art. Bit short but can see a lot of love went into what we got. Great work guys!
Awesome game, just found the intro to bit a little bit too long. Flippin tables is extremely pleasing. Very good graphics and audio.
Art, Sound, and Mood (overall presentation) was superb! Gameplay was ok, but a bit tough to control. Excellent game, big round of applause from this cube-rat!
The physics were really impressive. Espacally the Lamp movement at the boss level! The throwing mechanic works really well, It took me some time to kill the boss, but i had fun dooing it! :)
Nice game! I really liked the art, music and core gameplay/story idea. The physics based comedy worked very well. The only gripe I would have is the length and the missing challenge. The boss was pretty easy to beat and required basically no strategy. Just hammering space did the trick. Nontheless a really cool little game with fun mechanics. good job!
One of the funniest game I played ! It's really short but given the shirt tiem and the fact that it's very polished and the story is well made, it's okay
Well done guys !
Looks great, sounds great, has interesting gameplay, and is funny! I think your team did amazingly well! Only complaint I have is that the elevator ride to the boss wasn't long enough!
It's a fun little romp! The elevator bit hits pretty hard, although I don't know if I could do that between every level :joy:. The music is especially superb, and contributes a lot to the zany vibe you've created.
Really interesting to play! You made an impressive game! I love the graphics :)
Short but fun! If only it would be longer.
Pretty sweet game! The table flipping is pretty satisfying, and the bossfight is hilarious! I did get a couple bugs: every time I clicked the down arrow on the start screen the game would crash, and if I press space during the boss dialog the text boxes would shift to the top left of the screen.
Great work! Wish there were more levels!
LOL, the theme of the game is fantastic. :D Knowing the atmosphere at some AAA studios, this kind of "anger management" gameplay is even more rewarding.
Having my boss blow up into a big pile of coins has never felt so good! The mechanics felt good, I just wish there was a bit more to it. It is definitely a good game to blow off steam about work. I'm sure the theme hit pretty close to home for a lot of people.
I have never had such fun madly tossing coins around.
Just a note, some of us are still dinosaurs running on non-widescreen resolutions and some of your text is cut off when running on a 5:4 aspect ratio display, even if the window is resized :)
Very nice graphics, idea and destroy mechanics.
That was fun, best part is when this fat'o explodes with coins and you can toss them around :)
Things to consider: - implement hanging onto lamps (that would be soo cool!) - jumping sometimes is glitchy - Add some basic menus or at last ESC to quit your game - i hate to Alt+F4 from games :/ - Elevator run takes too long and it's boring :/ - Add possibilty to skip dialogues.
Great job! What language / engine did you use?
PS. Great music! I love it!
@bartosz I used Game Maker Studio 2 with gml. Thanks for playing!
Nice game, well polished ! But the dialogue are a bit to slow it's a bit annoying for a fast reader like me and that we want to play more than read a no-skip-able "long" intro.
Nice game and it brings up a very nice contrast between the story and the gameplay which really fun!
Really nice game. The loading screen is a bit long and doesn't feel necessary. Other than that it is an amazing game with a really cool never seen mechanic.
Art, physics and controls are very funy ! The intro and the elevator feel really long tho, but the animated dialogue compensated it quite well. Maybe having a bit of dialogue at the end or during the elevator could shorten up the intro. Glad to see that another team has had a similar take on the theme for a way more polished result :)
Very fun game, destroying things is really satisfying :) Good art and music! Oh, and I loved swinging ceiling lamps!
Nice rage simulator! For your next ludum dare, you could make a game where you play as a failing student who can't stand life anymore. You go around and gun down people to get revenge for your terrible life! You could get 5 points per student killed, and 10 for each teacher, and you have to commit suicide before the cops catch you, it'd be a blast!
Edit: Okay, that may have been a bit harsh. Sorry. But the graphics and movement mechanics were all great, as well as the music.
Pixel art here is great! Fun to play and the music is great too. Well polished and hilarious :)
Every single aspect of this game is great! Well done
Nice! Really polished from the art to the sound! I just wish it was a bit longer.
This is fantastic! It's disappointingly short (I think the cutscenes and loading screens take up longer than the actual game), but what gameplay there is is *very* cathartic and enjoyable. Sometimes, you just gotta smash stuff. The art is excellent, and the music and sound effects are spot-on.
Another small issue is that the logo on the title screen partially covers the "Start" button. All in all, though, this is a great concept, and I'd love to see an expanded version.
Cool game very well polished i think, But i do have to say your game has a little bit of a pasing problem having the unskippable intro and the elevator ride really took to long. To bad the rest of the game was short because i did enjoy the gameplay, music and art
Thanks for playing @everyone! This is the first game I've composed original music/SFX for, so all your positive feedback on the audio portion has been really encouraging. Looking to build my game audio portfolio even more, so if you like what you hear and have any games in development that still need music/sfx I'd be happy to collaborate fo free. Here are a few more examples of my work: http://amerigogazaway.com/licensing/
Breaking things is fun!
Short but sweet, it was the first game I played on my stream, and it was for sure one of the best. Everything was really well polished and my only wish is that there was more of it. I am very impressed at how well all the things break. I really appreciated all the little details, one can really tell that you put a lot of effort into it. From start to finish, it just so well packaged.
I am really impressed with your sound effects by the way, specially the coins. Coin sfx that are pleasant to listen to are almost impossible to create.
The boss is also super hilarious and the story (although silly at times) still has some substance to it.
The story is funny, fits with the theme. The gameplay is fun and fits with the story. The SFX and music is well made and fits with the art style  . Good entry!
I loved the story of this! This was a narrative I really hoped to see when the theme was announced, and I'm glad you picked it up and did something cool with it. The tableflip/throw fight was a fun and creative mechanic. All in all everything felt very stylish, I think the music was the biggest contributor to that, so great job on that. Very cool game!
5 stars to the Humor. At first I thought "Ok, I can't stand this introduction cutscene anymore". And then I realised. Everything in the game seems made to make you angry, just like the character is, which is really Genius (especially the elevator, that made me laugh a lot while considering it from that point of view). Gameplay against the boos is a bit approximative, but throwing stuff away and flipping table is really enjoyable.
Well done!
this game has got to be one of the funniest games I've played, and I love how long the cutscene was because it seemed to be there to infuriate the player to make him feel like the character, very great mechanics, well done to the devs!
Fun entry! The coins at the end was a nice touch.
That is a funny game for sure, however I feel it could have been more exaggerated. Like when you start the fight against your boss, it would have been funny having some boxing sounds effects, maybe score, and accentuate more on the thrown objects, with camera shaking, when you hit him, zoom on him and add some bullet time to really add impact on the shoot. But overall it is already really nice and fun to play! The physics is well done but it will always end up by packing up all the objects in a corner and not being able to pick them up again, or hardly.
The art is great, sound is nice, the entry is really cool!
Haha, I like this! Well designed. Only thing I didn't like was the long intro and the long wait time for the elevator. Otherwise very nicely done!
Great game! super fun haha.. Loved the intro movie.. I'd like more levels!
Good sh*t! Just make more lvls.
really cool idea.. felt like controls got messy after I made mess in the room. The art, music and game play feels really solid. nice work!
You might have just given me a great idea on what to do on mondey morning... This hit so close to home, thank you!
Interesting idea and I like the artwork and music. It's a little short though and the grabbing mechanic didn't work everytime for me
lol interesting idea. we need the second game. what happens afterwards? find another job to live? :)
That was really great 😁 Short but long enough to make all of us want a full game, you have a pretty package now that's waiting to be expanded!
Good job 😃
- biggest feedback - wait times all over the game were too long - had cases were space was held down, but stuff still went flying - gameplay overall worked, but was lacking, this seemed to be more about the story bits. - music was good, SFX were good.
Maybe the cutscenes were a reflection about "wasting your life away" because they were long an unskippable. It was incredibly frustrating. That said, I loved everything about the actually gameplay.
Very nice. The highlight for me was the opening cutscene, although the dialog was a little slow. The actual level design could do with a little polish I feel, to match the cutscene design a little more. And the controls were a little difficult with the boss battle, and I managed to win just by hammering space bar. The music could do with a little more intensity to match the context. Overall, a very funny game and great fun. I'm sure with a little more polish and additional content this game will go far, as I'm sure people who work 9-5 will relate to it!
I wish there was a way to speed up intro since it takes a lot of time and it makes no sense to watch it twice if you're already familiar with game. The delay between text screens is enormous.
Great music! The controls felt a little off, I found it's better to just mash space instead of holding items and throwing them for more wreckage :) Love the graphics. Love the theme, I can relate to it.
Really nice and polished game! The only thing that I would add is the ability to speed up the dialogue! Keep up the good work.
@simon-rahnasto Thanks! I recorded the coin SFX myself, I used all types of foreign coins from various countries on a hardwood floor. Always looking to build my game audio portfolio so if your ever in need of music/SFX I'd be happy to collab.
@captaindreamcast Thanks! This is the first game I've composed music /SFX for so your feedback means a lot. Looking to build my game audio portfolio so if you're ever in need of such a thing I'd be happy to collab. Your game was a blast btw! One of the funniest games I've played on LD so far.
Well polished game, great mood and art. The intro is waaaaay to long, and the dialogues pause for waaay too much time. Other than that is really nice! I like the music as well.
Cool soundtrack, the main level music reminds me of Earthbound :D Love the dialog with the shaky text and all haha. _I want to break free!_ Tons of fun to throw around, push, and just generally demolish all sorts of office objects across the area. You've implemented the physics here well.
I've uh, made quite a mess of things. Looks like my hands are bloody: Perfect, more of a mess for the boss :p

Nice game ! cool graphics and music, and this is a fun way to relieve some of your life's frustrations :)
@amerigo-gazaway I must admit that your music is great! Combined with the art and humor it's a great game. I'm mainly a programmer, so if @hugimugi7 is mostly an artist, perhaps we can team up at the next Ludum Dare. Otherwise I would love some insight on how to make good music.
God what an adorable little game! I use to have (too) slow pacing in my games as well so i kind of liked the intro and especially the elevator moment! On the point, fun, really nice art, soundtrack and sfx(! the "ooooooh" when i got hit). I just hope this did not come out of personal experience!
Short and sweet. Perfect length for a jam game. I loved the gag with the elevator.
How could be so good to throw everything up in the air !!!! it's an awesome entry with an amazing art and sense of humor! It's the perfect relaxing tool !!! GOD DAMN!!!
You could enhance the juiceness by adding more interactions and reactions to the rooms, like hitting the lights could shatter the lamps into particles and some fire, the smoke and fire of the equipments rise to the roof and activate the sprinklers, thrwing something too high and close to the windows could break the glass and make them just fly through.
To increase the presence of the protagonist, you could add some sfx like grunts before grabbing and right after throwing the objects, some deep and fast breathing to show his stress and also add some footsteps (because the actual sfx sounds like the pants jeans shrugling on each leg).
The shift button for windows isn't a good choice because of the damn windows always displaying a window with an option to keep the shift key always pressed.
This is cool! A couple of critiques though: I feel like the exposition at the beginning is way too slow. Have you considered mixing some of the exposition into the first level, while you're getting the hang of breaking things? Secondly, I don't feel like flip and grab needed to be separate buttons. You could have one button that you tap to flip, and hold to grab. Thirdly — and this ties into the second critique — I think you should be able to flip anything, not just the tables. These three things would make the whole experience feel more fluid.
Nevertheless, this game is fun. Good work overall.
I had to give you 5 stars in everything :D I enjoyed the graphics, the music, the story, the take on LD44 theme, everything. The story at the beginning was a little bit too slow but I can easily forgive you that because the game was so much fun :D It's great feeling to just smash the workplace and boss. Awesome job!
Fun game, but this intro should be able to skip or fast foward, it takes too long and the audio of each letter is way too loud...
but except for that? The game is awesome, congrats ^^
Great mood & visuals! The story is brought with a lot of effect - it would be nice to accelerate it here and there. The gameplay of throwing objects is a bit hard to control - the objects trajectory and if it would score a 'hit' was mostly unclear.
Nevertheless if you polish this you have nice potential, well done!
All the physics interactions were fun, and the story was well done. Overall a nice quick entry :)
For an action game, this definitely starts out ssssuuuuuuuupppeeerrr ssssllllloooooowwwww. I timed it, and from the moment I hit the start button up until I finally can start messing around with your super fun physics and gameplay mechanics, a solid *1 minute and 40 seconds* passed. By game jam game standards, that is almost an eternity. An "Advance Text" or "Skip" option would have been very much appreciated.
Once the game got started though, I had a blast! Flipping tables and tossing computers around was just as fun as your gifs made it seem, so I'm glad I was patient enough to sit through the intro to get there. Everything seemed super polished and bug-free.
And although I harped on the intro quite a bit, I will say that I did enjoy the little touches that were a part of it. The text effects were really neat, and the entire scene with all of the workers in cubicles was super impressive. From a player's perspective, it was a little cumbersome, but from an artistic and technical perspective, color me impressed. All-in-all, awesome job!
Short but sweet! Great mood. I really like the background story and how the text is displayed and the variation in beeps that go along with it (which makes it sound like talking). I also enjoyed the other sound effects, the different cool musics and the graphics, especially in the cubicle scene.
I wanted to play more levels, but since they were not there I restarted the game. Then I found the intro was a bit too long and I missed an option to skip the text. :P
It was very much fun to destroy stuff. I wasn't sure how the throw mechanics exactly worked, it was a bit hard to aim. Nevertheless, it was easy to win by just smashing my keys. ;)
Overall, awesome game!
