Not bad, reminds me of Spore a little bit. The controls felt a big slow but it was still fun for a while. I think a lot of these kinds of games really need some damage sound effects or visual cues so it's more obvious I'm doing something.
The graphics were nice with nice character designs. I liked the backstory too. Nice first team effort.
Well, this was awesome and I was gutted when it was over. I wanted more! The guns felt good, the enemies were fun to kill, I enjoyed exploring the levels. The music was good especially the first level, reminded me of early Aphex Twin, was really digging it.
My only criticism would be that some of the room transitions didn't put me on the next screen where I expected and by the time I found myself I'd been shot several times. This was mostly apparent on the first level as the second level didn't seem to have as many enemies shooting as soon as you walked into the room. Amazing entry though. Really enjoyed it. 5 stars!
Haha. This game was pretty ridiculous, in a good way! Some of the random dialogue killed me. It felt a bit confusing at fist but I went back to read the instructions and had more fun the second time. I loved all the art and the characters were all people I'd hate to get stuck in a conversation with. Nice work on a strange idea!
Phew. That was just too hard for me I'm afraid and I didn't get very far at all. The character just moved too fast. It looked so cute and the mellow music deceived me into thinking it was going to be a sweet gentle platformer but no it's hard as nails! Haha. Really nice minimal aesthetic, I'm disappointed I couldn't get further to see more.
@samsoidal You just need to keep clicking to get through the computer dialogue then click on the door to leave.
Thank you so much to everyone that took the time to play and rate our game. We really appreciate all the feedback and we're so happy that you appear to have enjoyed it!
To those suggesting the game is a little easy, we have to agree with you. We wanted to make sure it was a fun experience that everyone could see to the end, but really we just ran out of time to add red herrings and dummy items to make it harder!
Again, thank you so much for taking the time to play our game!
@axoona Thank you for the feedback. I did the voices myself, I'm glad you liked them! They were really rushed on a chaotic Monday.
I thought the Biche joke might be divisive. It was never meant to cause offense, just a really low brow stupid pun. I appreciate your feedback though and thanks for the other positive feedback!
Well, this game was bonkers, haha. Made me laugh a good few times. The voice overs were a bit mixed, some really quiet some really loud but they definitely added to the experience. Graphics were a bit messy but I love the way you guys made everything animate. Nice work!
This game made me laugh out loud at the stupid concept and the character looks straight out of a Viz comic. It's a good game too but as you know, it is too hard, impossible sometimes too, even for my cat like reflexes! You did well for 2 days though and I like that the character idle animation at the beginning. I love Ludum Dare for absolutely bonkers games like this. Nice work, aside from difficulty.
This is a pretty good game with some nice touches such as the day and night cycle and spinning the globe, fits perfectly with the theme. I enjoyed the music too.
I found it a bit confusing with the goals and the UI would obscure the world sometimes when I wanted to place buildings. All the text on screen was overwhelming too, 2 days had passed before I had read it all haha. I still enjoyed myself though. I'm always impressed when people make these kinds of games for LD.
I have similar sentiments as the other comments. The game looks amazing and I really love the character design. I played it more like a stealth game and out ninja'd the ninjas as the combat didn't feel quite right and I kept dying. I'm sure getting hit detection and feedback perfect in 3 days is impossible as well as the outstanding graphics so I'm glad I did have the option of avoiding battles.
You have the basics down though and with some story, nice music and a bit more game play you would have quite a cute little adventure game here. Great work on the aspects you did manage to finish.
I really enjoyed this game. Nice cohesion with the art, music and gameplay. It feels like a proper game already and simply needs a bit more of everything. It kinda reminds me of a Kairosoft game in that it's fairly simple but really addictive. You should definitely continue working on it!
Interesting idea with the gravity but for me it was just too hectic and I kept losing track of my character. Really nice style throughout, the title screen looked like a proper game, loved the scanlines too. Music was pretty awesome, shame there wasn't any during the gameplay. A nicely presented game but too hectic for my old eyes. Good work.
I used to really enjoy these kinds of games back as a kid. I like the idea of the planets as balls but I felt the paddles were a little too unresponsive for me or maybe it was just the browser being funny. It was still fun to play for a little while as these games usually are.
Great stuff! You made me laugh out loud a few times, starting with the moustache on the captain and then several more times throughout. Good work voicing all the characters. We did the same in our game but we didn't have half the dialogue, you did well getting it all done in time and of a decent quality.
Graphics were pretty good though his left hand was really ugly if the camera got too close so I've docked you points for that (just kidding!). I liked the shooting too, basic but felt good and I like the rag doll effect, it reminded me of the old Hitman games.
Excellent work overall. Could easily see this as an episodic series with a bit more depth.
Very fun little puzzler. I liked that there was no hand holding and I could figure things out myself, knowing when I saw the numbers that I knew I probably had to move 10 times before something would unlock. The graphics were nice and sounds fitting. I felt a bit panicked sometimes when I had to swap the arrows around in real time but I liked that it kind of added more to the gameplay, wasn't just watching him walk around.
Very nice entry. Can you seeing you taking this places.
The planets made me laugh, Uranus' mouth looking like, well, you know. haha. The music was nice too. The game play though was really solid, I had a lot of fun with this. Some stages were pretty tricky. I kept trying to just get a tiny bit of gravitational pull from a baby and sling shot to the planet for an amazing trick shot but I never pulled it off, but had a lot of fun trying. I think you have a really fun idea here.
Nice idea and with a few more building types adding to the challenge of resource management I can see this turning into a pretty addictive game. Good work for your first entry!
First couple of levels were kinda boring. With 2 screens I found it really fun but 4 screens? Cripes man! These people above me saying their keyboard didn't support it, my brain didn't support it! I had to give up I'm afraid but was intrigued by the story. I liked the way the guy on the rocks kept glitching. I also liked the walk cycle but wasn't too keen on the music. Interesting game though.
I really like the style and some of the humour was pretty funny. I found the controls and bit clunky in the arcade section and the enemies sometimes hard to spot, it was all a bit chaotic but has the potential to be a lot of fun with tighter controls. I loved how your text appears, especially during the intro. I'd definitely pursue something bigger in this style with more minigames in between story beats.
The best aspect was the music, went from c64, to jazz, to megadrive/arcade. Loved it. Great work to the composer, bass was sexy during the cutscenes!
The graphics are nice and I love the chiptune but without collisions or dying it didn't feel particularly fun. With those enabled I think it would be fun though.
Wow. You've got a lot of polished work here, I'm really impressed. Looks like a Spectrum game on steroids with tight NES gameplay. I really enjoyed it playing it, it felt like a proper game. I did have a bug with my Xbox 360 controller that made my character keep trying to go right, it might be my controller though, it's old and dusty. I still continued playing despite the hindrance so the game must be good! Awesome work!
Oh, and music was great too! But sound effects need turning down a bit.
I found this a little bit confusing to be honest but I got the gist in the end, I was rubbish at it though, haha. I think it could be more fun in 2 player, like a weird version of Battleships. Nice character art but shame there are no sounds.
This was really fun! I loved the simple graphics, it made me think a multiplayer game like this back on the C64 or Atari would be have been awesome! The controls were responsive, I liked how the bullets were limited and how it turned into a bullet hell game if you didn't beat the other guys up quick enough. Really great first Ludum Dare entry. Look forward to seeing what you have for LD39.
For some reason when I went full screen my screen went black and I couldn't recover from it, I had to reboot my pc. But onto the game...
Loved the art and the sound effects. Nice detail on the different sound effects when they step on the vent. I found it maybe a little too easy and was expecting some more story. I saw the name and the art and got ready for a beautiful pixel art story starring a rat, but I got a beautiful pixel art avoid feet simulator game about a rat. Amazing work for 2 days though even if it wasn't Ratatouie 2.
Simple but very polished and fun! I liked the aesthetics on the whole, nice changing of colours and zoom level and the music set the mood. It did make me feel a bit dizzy by about level 6 though, haha. Good job on a well made game.
Nice take on the theme. I like the simple graphics and style but it wasn't that much fun but then I guess that was the point and you've succeeded in capturing the mundane aspect of prison life. There should have been an option to bribe the guards for a carton of smokes. Good job on getting so much done in time too.
Interesting look and feel with moody music. It feels like the game is just getting started and could turn into something special but it never really takes off. I'd like to see what else you might have had planned given more time cause I'm definitely intrigued.
Graphics and audio are excellent but the game is way too hard for me. It felt like there just wasn't enough time between bullets. Maybe I would have done better with a game pad but I'm rubbish at difficult games like this anyway! Tweak the enemy fire rate or wait till they are on screen to start firing then I think this could be a pretty sweet game. Again the visuals are top notch, particularly the little animations.
Pretty fun. I've been playing Osmos in bed lately, this had a similar vibe, even down to the relaxing music. I enjoyed collecting the planets but the controls seemed a bit unresponsive at time. With smoother controls and more challenges I think this could be a fun little title. Nice work.
I knew my years of playing Thrust on the C64 would pay off! This was a lot of fun. It took me ages to beat the black planet but got there in the end. Great work on this. Most fun I've had so far!
Nice and pleasant to play with the cheery music and art. I liked the end of the level image in particular. I found it a bit easy with the arrow telling me where to go though. Overall a nice effort though and probably played more mazes than I expected to. Ha!
Wow. So much litter in New York! Amazing graphics and good physics. Felt like things sometimes got caught on the edge of the ant hill and made it harder to knock things in than necessary but that might just be me. Still fun though and nice sense of scale with the enormous legs!
Like a combination of Lemmiwinks and The Last Guardian. I was very impressed with the art and atmosphere. This has a lot of potential for a great atmospheric puzzle game and I would love to see more. Like the other players I got stuck at the door too. I tried making something happen to the controls near the door but I couldn't figure it out unfortunately but that doesn't take away from the very interesting concept you guys have going here. Nice work!
Wow, nice work! I didn't have the suspect in time but I was close. I'm gonna go back for more later, I refuse to watch the walkthrough, haha. The Atari style made me feel nostalgic and story was intriguing. Awesome work for such a long game in such a short time!
Haha. Pretty funny. I liked when my duck came back around the other side of the globe, that background did look photo realistic as well. Computers have come so far! I think our duck should have laser beams for eyes though, I wanted to fight back after a while.
Took me a moment to get the gist of it and then I was happily addicted but the time limit stresses me out on these types of games, like that 10000000 game, but that's just me. My GF would absolutely love this though. Very polished too. Great work.
First few lives were wasted trying to loot the aliens haha. I'm usually a sucker for games like this but I found the ship a bit slow to control and once you get the shields going the stiff controls make it too hard, for me anyway. Nicely put together though and I like the twinkling stars!
EDIT: My above review was for the HTML version, I've since downloaded it to see if it was more responsive, and it is much better so I have changed my score a bit because it was a lot more fun.
Really interesting and fun game. I wish you could make it fly a bit better haha but that's part of it's charm I guess. The create a ship bit could be a little annoying, would be nice if you could move the parts around once they are on the grid. I see great potential in this game though, give it a bit more polish and it could be something awesome. Great work!
Nice! Great take on the theme with the power line. It looked good, it played well and had a leaderboard! Really polished too. Awesome work on this one. The diagonal that rotates is a bastard though. That's what always killed me.
Wow. Haha. Within about 5 seconds I had 100 bunnies then before long I couldn't see my character never mind move him. With some better controls and more room to move this could be a lot of fun. Liked the style of the visuals and got a good laugh out of it. Nice work.
Really difficult but pretty entertaining and you nailed that retro feel. I had trouble getting the timing of the grappling hook on top of even getting the right trajectory so I think it could definitely afford to be a touch more forgiving. I had fun though. Great job! :)
Very interesting idea if a little confusing. Half the time I couldn't get the cards to go into the boxes which was ruining my enjoyment of the game. I'd like to play a post jam version with a bit more polish, I think it could turn into a really addictive card game. Nice work
I'm sorry to say this but your game made me feel sick after about 1 minute, which is a shame cause it seemed liked fun, I didn't want to turn it off but I had to. I now know why these games are generally fixed perspective hehe. Can you try a version that doesn't rotate?
Nice visuals, style and atmosphere. It has that This War of Mine feel to it with the hard choices. Good work on the UI. Wish it was a bit longer though.
This was really hard, had to really concentrate haha. Hardest part was only hitting the key seven times. It was fun though and it looks and sounds great. Lots of polish throughout. Great job!
This is pretty fun but kinda difficult even with the PNG haha. I think the UI just needs to be bit clearer but once you understand it there is an interesting game under there. Good luck fleshing it out, it could be a pretty addictive sim.
Nice work! I had to read the tutorial a few times but once I got the idea I found the whole thing pretty addictive and a lot of fun to play. Could see myself playing it on my phone for ages. The graphics for the gameplay was simple and serviceable but the UI elements were really nice. The only thing I can say negatively is there were quite a few typos but that's easily fixed. Great work guys. I really enjoyed this one.
The game looks very pretty with some great art but perhaps a tad too dark, at least on my screen. I found it quite awkward getting the character through some hallways cause I couldn't tell where the character was standing exactly and you couldn't pitch the camera quite enough to get a good view. Beautiful artwork and style though.
@sophisticat-Games and @neathan Yep, caught those ones, thanks. Thank you for the nice reviews.
@mars Thank you for the detailed review. Yep, the last quest is a little vague, not be design but by lack of time to add the proper clues. :( Roy does mention one of the tools he'll need in the phone conversation but it might have been too subtle. I'm glad you still enjoyed your time. Again, thanks for the great feedback!
@rulrite Thank you for the positive feedback! I agree with the transitions, or vansitions as I like to call them.
Hi Simon. Sorry we can't do a Mac version and we couldn't get the web build to play nice so we are Windows and download only for now I'm afraid.
@yuigoto Aw. Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback. It validates what we're doing when we read comments like that so thank you, really glad you liked it.
@liquidbrain Brilliant. That's awesome that you recognised us haha. I recognise your name too so will be checking your game out right now. Thank you for the lovely feedback. I'm glad you liked this game too!
Hi @saramartins. Thanks for your insight. Allow me to explain some of those problems if I may.
When your inventory is full, Roy says that it's full. That number is simply an audio tag that should play a sound file rather than show that number. The programmer will be punished for that later.
Your next 3 problems relate to the options menu that is part of our adventure game framework that we haven't quite finished. Actually, I believe it was fixed last night but the options menu should have been disabled for this game. Would you have preferred Spanish subtitles? We might do a patch to include them before the jam is over.
I am not aware of the red vertical bars issue. Not come across that myself. Did you start in windowed mode and then go full screen?
Yep, it is slow paced, and the intro is far too long haha. But that's what we go for, we like slow paced narrative driven games, though they definitely aren't for everybody. :) Thank you for playing and your feedback!
@gonutz
Hey. Thanks for the detailed review! Yep, all the issues you had were things we simply ran out of time to fix, we've since fixed all those problems for a post jam release at a later date. For example, now when you use the pliers on the wire it will automatically zoom in for you. You're stuck with the jokes though I'm afraid!
Thanks for the other positive feedback. Glad you enjoyed it!
Got stitched up by a few signs right in front of me on a restart but aside from that it's a fairly addictive endless runner. It looks nice and runs well. It would be nice if some of the obstacles just took away some power rather than instadeath. Good effort overall!
Sorry, I didn't get through my list of games yesterday and had to go to work! I am finally home to finish reviewing your game! And thank you for the kind review on our game.
This is a pretty impressive entry with a lot of content. I haven't been able to beat it yet and will go back to it but feel like I can give you feedback from what I've played so far.
I liked the dialogue and story, it made me laugh a few times but the text went a bit too fast for me sometimes and I missed bits. I really liked that you had different gameplay types, even the little quizzes. The shoot em up bit controlled well but felt a little bit long but I loved the mining. At first I kept shooting across the screen trying to get as many in one go but came out of there with as much full as I went in with, haha. I was more methodical the second time. It was fun, a bit of a puzzle element to it. The graphics are alright, loved the portrait art and the explosions were nice. The music was pretty good too and the retro sound fx helped tie it all together. Nice work!
A little imbalanced but really fun when you get the near misses. It would be nice if when you get a near miss it can boost your energy, like a bit of adrenaline from nearly being run over. You've nailed the look, it looks awesome. It literally needs minor tweaks and it would be a great game! Nice work!
Excellent! I absolutely loved this. Loved the art style and it was all so polished. Loved little details too like the guy with 2 eye patches haha. I got the culprit in the end due to my keen observations! Really great work, thoroughly enjoyed it!
Took a little while to get the hang of but it was nice and responsive to play so it wasn't frustrating trying to figure it out. The graphics are lovely and I liked the chiptune music.
I wish I had someone bringing me lattes during Ludum Dare, well, now as well to be honest.
A little rough around the edges, the intro had tons of typos but I couldn't tell if it was intentional because it was really funny, like a badly translated game haha. The walk cycle was funny too as well as the character designs in general, nice six pack on the fourth or fifth guy. I found it too hard in the end as once I died there was no way to recharge my energy and the enemy moved too fast for me to get away as he kept one hit killing me. Pretty fun though, with some polish and balance it could make a decent game. Nice work!
Wow. A real piece of art. Lots of metaphors, it was fun interpreting what you were trying to convey in each scene. Very polished and well put together. My only complaint was without V-Sync the tearing during the "Morning" sections took me out of the game. The planet bit also seemed to go on a bit too but those are my only complaint on a pretty special experience. Nice work.
Great idea! Gets very hard quickly and my brain starts to panic haha. Lovely visuals and design work. Really enjoyed this one. Give it a full release!
My sanity levels were dipping way faster than the old lady until I saw the mute button! It was setting my dogs off, haha! Nice idea but lacked a little polish, like with the feeding as others have pointed out. I loved the cats and all their names.
Excellent! Really fun, great use of the theme, awesome sound and visuals. My personal favorite so far. Great work!
Simple but fairly addictive and challenging. Reminds me a bit of Badland. Nice work.
Tricky game! Fun working out which order to take them to stand a chance. The one in the walk in wardrobe was a doozy. Nice take on the theme!
Killer music! Lovely pixel art too. I'm not a massive fan of these types of games normally but this was very nicely done with a nice level of polish. Nice work!
Q+D? Haha. Overall this is excellent! Really fun, inventive, great use of the theme, I liked the pixel style too. Just needs some music, controller support and 100 levels! Great work!
This was interesting. Presentation is very nice from the art to the audio. I empathized with my character as someone who has felt this way in the past. Something interactive like this would be good to have in clinics rather than a doctor asking you between 1-10 how anxious you feel everyday. Good work team. I'm impressed.
The screenshot instantly made me feel like an 8 year playing Coleco-vision all over again so I had to play it! Even better than expected! The art is nicely animated, especially the snakes. I kinda wish you went full on atari and had really basic backgrounds. It was fun to play, 3 snakes at once put up a challenge! I got greedy and thought I could get to another high bit and died in the end. Great little retro title. You could build upon this nicely.
Great style and design. The cows are great with their wagging tails. The physics were fun. Was fun getting underneath a pile of cows and jumping and watching them go flying. Very simple but lots of polish and charm made me spend more time messing around than necessary. I like to believe that cows come from yellow spheres now.
Pretty funny, Such amazing error did make me laugh. Simple idea and worked well enough. I agree with others that this could be pretty addictive on a tablet with some other mini games. The fact the middle of the spider didn't line up with the background bothered me but I won't mark you down for that, it's just something I have to learn to deal with.
Nice little idea but I think I'd prefer to be the guy at the desk, without the impending diabetes though. I really liked the art style and mood of it but maybe a tad too slow for me. It would be nice if you could throw the rubbish too, add one of those little basketball hoops above the bin, haha.
This is excellent! I'll get the bad points out of the way early. The sound effects are too loud. Okay, now the good points. This is a perfect puzzle game! I was addicted immediately. The graphics are charming and it's all so polished. Fantastic job for 2 days work!
This is a really great game. It looks great, plays great, sounds great and it's a great use of the theme. Great!
My only complaints are the reverse mouse wheel and maybe it would be nice to drop objects if there is room to fall below. Other than that I can't really fault it. Feels like a proper game you could release tomorrow. Awesome work!
This was an interesting idea but could be better suited to VR. The picking up mechanic took me some getting used to and the strict time limit had me failing too much. I wish the computer was more forgiving. I picked it up and chucked it at the wall though so that was fun. Throwing everything was fun really. It was quite an enjoyable experience overall just wish I had more time to do each task. Good job!
Wow. Very polished and professional! You've got a proper game here. You just need multiplayer like Overcooked and you could have a little hit on your hands. Top work!
@ndhr-productions Ugh that sound bug. I never encountered it before you mentioned it then got it twice in row when I just tested it. We'll look into it. Thanks for the positive feedback as well!
@mochakingup Haha. Thank you! Yep, we would have liked that too but ran out of time. We may go in and do a cheeky post jam patch for it. You can click to forward the text and press SPACE to fast forward a bit. :)
@borys Ah thatβs awesome! Thanks for playing and your kind words.
@ndhr-productions Hahaha! I'm sorry for that. :)
@nam-nguyen Thank you!
@annie-owl Thank you very much! Ah, a song export feature is a great idea! We're stealing that!
@drauthius Ah, damn. Sorry bout that. Pesky bug.
@axoona Thank you for the very nice review! We're really pleased you enjoyed it :)
As for the copyright issue. We made the songs ourselves as a parody of the originals, which I believe comes under 'fair use' and we figured we'd just make them so stupid that even if the original artist took part in Ludum Dare and rated our game they wouldn't sue us haha.
Sorry you got that pesky bug. I keep asking @rodobodolfo to fix it but he's being stubborn! I'm glad you went through the game again though! Thanks for the review!
Really great job! Nice clean visuals with clever and humorous designs for the posters, addictive gameplay and possibly my favourite use of the theme so far. Could use a few more shapes but I had a lot of fun with this. Great work team!
Ah this was really fun. Nice graphics and physics. I wish I could have played with a controller though. I think you could really add to this to make it even crazier, opening it up to a city bus and whatnot. Great job. I really enjoyed it!
Well, I loved the title screen music. I listened to that for a few minutes just watching the boxes filling up the room. I loved the jazz song in the pawn store too. I wasn't really sure what I was doing at first but it was still fun taking items and throwing them in the back, then I got it once people came in wanting stuff. Overall a fun little game with nice humour and an awesome title screen song!
Haha. Damn. I was so ready for an adventure. Nice amount of effort for a terrible joke, I love it!
What a charming little game! I loved everything about it. The characters, the design, the chunks flying off is awesome and a great use of theme. I'd like to see more of Crowley Flatcheeks!
I really like the idea here and it has a lot of potential but it feels a bit finicky to play. I kept moving the mouse to the side I wanted to drop the dirt instead of using the keyboard. I think I would have preferred more mouse control overall, like maybe right click to interact with the dirt (dig/drop) and left to interact with objects. Text is a little on the small side and the character gets a bit lost in the background, I played the full screen version too. They are just minor gripes but did impact my enjoyment slightly. Now onto the positives.
I enjoyed the mood of the game and the whole intro bit reminded me of the second level of Flashback, which was cool. Shame there was a crash, I wanted to see where our character was going! I can see this developing into a nice game, like an inverted, survival based Mr Driller style game. I liked the survival aspect of it but maybe too strict with the limited inventory. I think you have the basis a good game here, I think you should give it some post jam love. Good job!
PS. On my third play I seemed to warp through the dirt at the beginning on the tunnel.
Well, you got me with the humour. The story description here and in game was well told and funny. While reading the story on this page I didn't see it being an FPS coming and it made me laugh, expected some kind of diplomacy game or something crazy. Still got something crazy, just not what I expected.
Great work for a first jam! The graphics are really nice and cartoony. The mouse is a bit odd, at least for me, too sensitive maybe. I didn't like the shoot at first since the projectiles just keep on going but I started to enjoy once I started hitting moving targets from miles away. Pretty fun! Great job!
Okay, this was weird but pretty funny! Some nice drawings and the music was perfect for the mood. Just a shame it's not longer, which is something that weird goblin would say. Nice work!
This is an interesting idea with some good replay value. It made me laugh a few times and I enjoyed how the stories progressed too. Nice work!
Looks lovely, very cute style. The intro frames were beautiful as well. The animation was great too. The whole aesthetic was wonderful and a great idea on the theme. Unfortunately, the game became boring quite quickly and I was a little bit disappointed cause I loved the style. Screw the darkness, I want to go on an adventure with our little lumberjack! You have something here, take it further post jam!
Nice take on the theme! I wasn't sure what it had to do with the theme then realized half the water had drained. It was fun for a few levels but the clicking got a bit too much in the end. I think it would be a lot more playable on a touchscreen though. Nice idea and good effort! :)
Wow. Nice work! Very lovely pixel art and style throughout. It's quite an interesting puzzle mechanic, I can see this turning into a really cool game.
I wasn't really sure what I was doing to begin with. I didn't know why I was eating stuff until I saw the life bar. Also, I couldn't read what was in the top left corner, a bit small on my tv. Bit nitpicky but those are my only real complaints. The character was cute and responsive and I liked all the different food. The physics were good so made dodging the food enjoyable! The music, while not a bad tune, was a bit harsh. I like what you were going for but maybe a softer 8-bit triangle sound would have been more pleasant. Good game overall!
Pretty fun. I found the perspective a bit tricky sometimes, would be nice to get a top down look. I liked the Squarepusher-esque music.
I quite enjoyed this. I loved the art and mood. Played a couple times and got a better (less bleak) ending. It was fun deciding who to let in. Some seemed like a no brainer but then someone that sounded slightly more qualified came along and made me glare at the less qualified person taking up space. I let the dog straight in but not the whiny people, we've all got problems in the wasteland, lady!
Good job!
Wow! Excellent art style and animation! You have the foundations of a good side-scrolling beat em' up here. The combat was tight and I felt like a badass. Awesome work!
Nice idea! Probably the best management sort of game I've played so far. Button didn't always work and I couldn't seem to download the updated version on itch. Great job on the original upload anyway!
I really enjoyed this! Funny throughout and all the 4th wall breaks made me laugh. Good fun. When's the next case out?
Oh, and the music was awesome!
Nice polished entry. Like a banking version of Overcooked or something. I found the difficulty a bit too high though. By the time I read what they wanted a queue was forming haha. Lot of potential though and the presentation was great!
Haha. This was good fun! Loved the art style and the music suited the pace of the game. Quite challenging and addictive. Got swarmed by those shooting ones in the end. Great job. I had fun!
Pretty solid game here. Lovely art style, fun mechanics, quirky humour and addictive gameplay. The music didn't really suit in my opinion but that's my only minor gripe. Could easily expand this into something. Awesome job!
Presentation is top notch and a nice idea but a bit plodding. Might have been a bit more fun having to type whole words at a time before they hit the bottom as 1 letter was like watching my Dad type haha. Love the little details though like the reflection in the mirror.
The idea behind the game is solid but movement is a bit too slow. It was still fun for a while though. The music was a bit repetitive but instrument was fitting for a retro shooter. Nice effort!
Nice little game! Graphics were simple but plenty of variation. The bosses were fun and it was just fun to spray money around. Cutscenes were pretty funny too! Great work guys!
After reloading the game about 5 times I finally figured out what I was doing and lasted a minute (story of my life). I felt like I got every box right but I still ran out of money. Obviously unfinished as you admit but there is some potential here once you get some feedback in for what you are doing wrong and right, then raise the difficulty slowly. Could be a quite intense little rhythm style game!
@afroant @mashupgames
Yep! Totally agree there with the dialogues. If we hadn't run out of time I would have liked to have taken a knife to the script to trim the fat. I'm glad you both still enjoyed it! Thank you very much for your reviews!
@xmpted Glad you liked the humour and yep, didn't think it would be everyone's cup of tea! Thanks for playing and giving feedback!
@tinykidtoo Thank you very much! Glad you liked it! We might flesh it out after with some more characters and games to make a full "episode". Thank you for playing and leaving a comment!
@riftpoint-entertainment Aw. Thank you very much. That's kind of you to say. Glad you enjoyed it!
@avon Thank you very much! We always look forward to your review!
@jorne Thank for the feedback, I'm glad you like it. Yep. We had more interactions planned for the roaming around, talking to the workers or hidden areas that would open new dialogue and whatnot.... and your poor bank if anyone is like Mildred haha
@synedraacus Thanks for checking, linux player!!
I didn't get it the first few times, kept going bankrupt. Hid for a bit and looted some coinage and then got my head around it. Was really fun. Had a bit with loads of them near the vault and the coins were everywhere haha. I kept losing my cursor in the mayhem but other than that I had a good time. Great effort!
Haha! Funny game and wonderful art. Bit short but can see a lot of love went into what we got. Great work guys!
Lovely style and interesting concept but always felt I was losing more than I could gain. I never saw the good ending unfortunately. Great art and mood though!
Haha. This was ridiculous! The torturer is psychotic, first he'll stab you then you kiss you! I liked the risk reward mechanics and the simple animations were effective. And it was just a funny game. Well done!
Nice style and interesting idea with the death, the one where you have to press Q all the time was a bit annoying though haha, but surely that's the point! Unique and atmospheric. Great job!
Wow! Great job with this one! Loved the style and mood of it. Loved the transitions to the next bit of the level. Combat felt good with the slight lock on and was actually a lot of fun. Really great work on this!
Cute style but tough game play! It gets very frantic quickly and didn't feel like I had a chance to react sometimes. If the camera was a bit further out or on screen indicator of where the crabs are coming from might make it bit easier. Fun though! Great work!
Hey! This was really good. I love these sort of atmospheric games. Ran the wrong direction first time then used my brain and ran the right way. Wish you could have added more to it! Awesome job!
Pretty fun and nice idea! I enjoyed playing through all the levels but just running over people was where the real fun was at!
Fun little tower defense game. The little sentries were quite effective but the weapons of the main character felt a bit weak except the bomb one. Love the style and the title screen had me chuckling away at the silly mosquitoes walking about. I like the concept of sacrificing health to build towers. I mostly stayed low health and let my boys do the work.
Great work on your first game!
Pretty fun flying around, controls felt good but collisions were a bit funny, got stuck 5 seconds into my first play through. Played a few times though. Good job!
Nice polished entry. Graphics and audio were very nice, created a good atmosphere. Took a little while to figure it all out but in the end it was a pretty fun game. Nice work!
Strange but funny. The few bits of art were nice too. The menus were probably funnier than the game but then it's all part of the "game". Was fun while it lasted!
Really nice looking and I like it thematically but I didn't really know what I was meant to be doing, if anything. Maybe that's the point.
This is a nice little addictive game. Loved the piano music, especially the first stage theme, going to be stuck in my head all day! Loved the pixel art and voice overs too, great accents!
Game looks awesome, I was instantly intrigued at what looked like a Sea of Thieves in space, fixing your ship kind of thing (shame it wasn't coop), but I really struggled with the controls. I knew what I was meant to be doing but couldn't figure out how. It might be worth adding some more details about the controls in the description and I'd be happy to have another go..
Great little idea and unique take on the theme. The controls make my brain go funny but that's totally the point. Had a good laugh with this one. Good job.
