I really like the graphics and the mood they set. Very nice job on that. The controls were difficult for me and after only a couple minutes I noticed an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach so I had to exit the game. I think a first person perspective may have been better for me personally.

Glad to see a built-in tutorial. That's often overlooked and for someone like me who likes to just jump into the games, it really helps. I like the aesthetics you have here. I did find it tricky to position my ship in the proper place in order to shoot where I intended. I wasn't able to get very far because of this, but maybe it's just because I'm getting old...
Unfortunately I was unable to try your game. It got to the logo splash screen (the water droplet one) and then crashed.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to experience a whole lot of your game, as it started lagging pretty hard after a few minutes, but what I saw was nice. The animation and visuals were pretty good.
This is a very clever puzzle mechanic that fits the theme very well. Be careful with using colors as identifiers though, as a significant portion of people are color blind and may not be able to distinguish colors very well. I think in this particular case it's fine, as you get visual feedback on what you're manipulating, but it could pose a challenge.

This is a great game. The puzzles were well designed and I really liked the looping mechanic. One thing I didn't like was that on the jet flame traps, the brown frog was killed by touching them even if they were being disabled by the green frog. My expectations were that once disabled, the entire thing was harmless.
I'm terrible at these kinds of memory games, but I had fun with this. The aesthetic of the game is awesome and very well done, not to mention hilarious. Great job on this!
This is a pretty intense game. Trying to keep the controls straight in my head to get the guy to do what I wanted was a real challenge. I don't know if that's a flaw though, as it definitely lended to the challenge of the game. The visuals/audio are great and the tutorial at start while simple, was spot on and very helpful. Nice work!
Great puzzle game idea! The graphics were really nice and the ambient audio and the sound effects made for a good atmosphere. The only thing that threw me off was the camera angles when switching from one room to the next. It was disorienting me every time. Overall though, this is a great game.
It took me a minute to figure out what I was supposed to be doing, but once I did it was pretty straightforward to play. I like that you added more levels and difficulty.
This was a great game! Reminded me a lot of Mouse Trap. It was very polished and other than some minor wonky physics, everything worked great.

I really liked the story and atmosphere you created with this. Unfortunately for me, poor Lily wasn't ready for that last wave. I think making the projectile bigger and easier to see would be helpful. It seemed the collision wasn't quite matching up with the size of the projectile. But overall, great job!
Great game. I would have liked to see health pickups. I got to 33k points and then died! I'll have to try again later to hit that 40k threshold and see what surprise is in store.
I'm quite confused as to why there are geese on the keyboard... A bizarre but definitely unique and challenging game. I would have liked more freedom to go where I wanted on the keyboard, but that might have made it too easy.
Wow those are some fast zombies! I can't seem to last very long. Congrats on finishing your game. It takes skill to manage your time in order to complete your game by submission, and you did it. It's definitely an accomplishment.
I don't know what the problem is, but I'm not able to get past the menu screen. When it starts up, the Play option is grayed out, then it goes to normal, but I'm not able to start the game. It doesn't respond to any input. I haven't rated, but I thought I'd give you a heads up that some people might not be able to play your game.
This was absurdly hilarious. Nicely done. As the parent of four children, I can attest to the accuracy of this simulation.
Boom, I blew up. I like the pixel art and the music was pretty catchy. It's nice to see a good story. The "x" to interact was a little buggy and the pixel font was hard to read at times, but other than that, this was a great experience. Nice work!

This is a difficult game! Not because of anything you did wrong, but because I suck at timing my releases. This has the "just one more try" addiction factor to it. The mechanic is simple and fits the theme well. Simple graphics and audio, but they fit the game well. Overall, nicely done.

I like the pixel art here. It was easy to determine what was terrain vs enemies, except at first I didn't realize the grey blocks were in the background... I was trying to avoid them. I didn't have any problems with my shots landing, though I did run into a bug where I died, shots were coming from the empty space I used to be at, then I died again before respawning. Other than that, it was fine. Nice work on this!
I agree that the title card screen is very well done pixel art, nice job. The bleak mood is very fitting for 2020 and is well done. I would've liked more openness to exploring. Maybe instead of just telling me I can't go in a certain direction, use the environment to prevent travelling in certain directions.
This is definitely mind-bending. Fantastic visuals and a very intriguing concept. It's difficult to determine where you are and where your shots will go, but that's also what makes it interesting. I think some sound effects would have gone a long way, even just simple ones for shots and exploding polygons.
I really like the idea behind this. I had a little problem with controls (the pause at the end of a jump kept throwing me off), but I really like the idea of using typed words to bring assistance to the player. Nice work!
This was both creepy and adorable, in good ways. The visuals were great and the music made the whole experience surreal and uneasy. My only complaint is that the character controller seemed a bit off. I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it just didn't seem as smooth as I would expect. Otherwise, nice work!

Very nice! I wasn't sure about things when I first started. Things were too easy, but then multiple guys started coming in swinging their crazy arms. I started laughing and having fun. This is a great game. Incredibly innovative. Nice work!
Wow, amazingly trippy, but in a good way! Very innovative too and I'm impressed that the music was procedurally generated. Is there a way to lose this game? Things got VERY fast and I kept hitting the red spikes but there didn't seem to be any way to lose. I just reached the end. Anyway, great job!
"Dang it. Dang it. Dang it." That was me, playing this game, narrowly missed platforms. It wasn't because of the game, but because of my inability to time my jumps right. This was difficult, but in a good way. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would at first. Very addictive. Nice work!

This is awesome. I'm very impressed you managed to get all this done by yourself. I don't have any real criticism, and the only thing I didn't care for was the number of enemies on the final level. It seemed to drag on just a bit longer than it should have. Oh, and the primpies at the end were all a bit creepy, just sitting there staring into my soul... Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say. Great work!
Not being an MMO player, I felt a bit lost. I wasn't sure what I needed to do at first, though eventually I got the hang of it. Everything was well executed and I apologize for my teammates for being such a poor healer. :(

Well executed, although incredibly difficult. I can't seem to last very long. I think it's because there doesn't seem to be a way to anticipate the attacks. They just come and if the enemy is too close, you don't stand a chance. Nice work.

I think if you would have placed the wood on the screen, it would have been more obvious as to what you were trying to do. Keep in mind, most people either skim or skip instructions altogether. So either make them fun to read, or integrate them into the gameplay somehow. Overall though, nice work on this.
I really enjoyed playing this. There were a few things I didn't like. Most of the time I lost a ball was when my mouse went outside the browser window. Not a big deal, but if you were able to capture the input somehow that would be ideal. Second, it's impossible to read the text while juggling more than a couple balls. Having something with immediate visual impact would make it more obvious what's happening and still allow you to keep your eyes on the balls. Overall, I could see myself losing a lot of time entranced by this game. Nice work!
Not bad for 7 hours! This was very challenging. I think a slightly smaller hitbox on the guy would've been nice. It seemed really hard to stop between the falling blocks without going slightly too far. Overall, impressive for the short amount of time.
It's hard to keep Grandma and Grandpa alive when they seek out destruction! Fun little game. Controls were a bit touchy and it would have been nice if my shots went through Grandma and Grandpa instead of pushing them. It was tough when they were shot to the edge of the screen. I was never able to get them away from the edge after that and death followed close behind.
Congrats on submitting a game using your own custom engine. I've done that in the past and it isn't easy. Kudos as well for having an HTML5 version with a C++ game engine. Nice work.
As for the game, it a pretty smooth experience. That "mmmm" sound after attacking a guy was a bit too sensual for me, but it was good comedic relief. The mouse sensitivity was a bit high for me, so controlling where I was going took a bit longer than I would have liked. Overall though, everything worked well and was fun up until I got shot by a silver bullet.
I enjoyed this. The controls were well done and simple enough to pick up quickly. Graphics were good. Audio was ok, I'm not a big fan of the automatically generated sounds, but that's just personal preference. Nice work on this.

Congratulations on writing an engine capable of this. I too have used a custom C++ game engine for LD in the past and know all too well fixing problems deep in the engine just to continue working on your entry. Take the knowledge you gained from this experience to improve it. Next time will be better.

Very interesting concept and take on the theme. The music was fun and so was seeing all the jumping shapes. Controls were a little tricky for me and sometimes judging where you were in relation to other shapes was difficult. That might just be a lack of skill though. Good job!

Superb modeling, texturing and animating here. Seriously great job. I'm unfortunately unable to test with another person, but my left hand crushed my right hand. My one input would be to make the rounds a little shorter. Maybe 60 or 90 seconds. Great job!
"The old days before we were disembodied heads" ROFL. That was excellent. This is a very creative game that was a lot of fun to play. The visuals were great and the audio amazing. I do have to say, after the first level of shake, it became too much. I had to leave it at 2. I did max everything out before paying off the debt and tried it and 5/5 is insane. Also, I don't think I had to receive the instructions on what happens after harvest every time. The first time, yeah, makes sense, but after that it was intrusive. Also, it was a little tedious dragging stuff to sell it. Other than those minor complaints, I think this is a fantastic game. Great job!

This is hilarious. I love the idea and you did a great job implementing it. The only issue I had was the collision seemed a little off. I maneuvered into a lane after a car passed and it felt like I should have safely made it, but unfortunately I crashed. Maybe it was just bad judgement, but I thought I had let enough time pass to safely get in the lane. Great job!
I became something! This was a great little game. I enjoyed my time playing it. It wasn't immediately obvious that I needed to touch the sad things to engage in combat, so I struggled for a few minutes to gain enough confidence. Once I realized what I needed to do, I gained confidence pretty quick. Well done!

There's something wrong with this. I start the game and it's in the top left corner of my screen, so I'm only seeing a quarter of the game screen. I've never seen this before and I wasn't able to get it to move. I'll refrain from rating, but the game looked incredible from what I could see!

I like that you took the theme literally. Everything from nothing. There's something disturbing about being able to destroy a planet with a single click. It was like billions of souls crying out... Nice work!
I enjoyed the Terminator references and inspiration. The 3D visuals were also nicely done. The HTML worked fine for me.
At first I thought I had to follow the road to the store and was confused when I couldn't go very far. That's when I figured out it was like Crossy Road and I had to go up and avoid the obstacles. Nicely done! The gameplay works well. I would recommend some fine tuning of the controls. They felt a bit floaty. Nothing that I couldn't compensate for and overall it didn't really detract from the experience, it was just something I noted.

I did run into a problem where I wasn't able to fire any more balls. I don't know if there is a set number of attempts you have or if it was a bug. Either way, I was stuck. Wow, just saw you did this in 12 hours. Even more impressive!
Wow, the entire aesthetic of this game is spot on. Extremely polished and well done. The controls were responsive, although slightly confusing with the arrow keys and WASD not working the same way (and not always being interchangeable depending on where you are in the game). Overall, this is incredible work. Nice job!
The visuals were stunning. Very nice work. It wasn't obvious at first how the card mechanics worked (it seemed unintuitive to drag an attack card onto my own units), but I was able to figure it out after a minute or so. I do think you need to have a separate download for the post-jam version. You aren't being rated on audio, but music and sound makes a big difference to mood, which you are being rated on.
Everything worked as it should and was pretty intuitive. Obviously audio cues would've been nice, but sometimes there just isn't enough time! :) I would recommend making some sort of visual indicator when you've successfully placed an item where it's supposed to go. At first, I wasn't sure if it was registering the items I placed. Overall, nice work.
Very cool game. I liked the story, even though it was a bit far fetched. Tied in nicely with the theme. I understand that English obviously isn't your native language and I have a lot of respect for you for knowing more than one language, but some of the broken grammar drew me out of the story. Other than that, everything was great. Nice work!
Great use of theme! I really enjoyed this. The platforming was solid, although the rules governing interacting required me to check the instruction a couple of times. No big deal though, but maybe some feedback if you try to push the button and can't ("You're too heavy", "No enough coins"), so the player doesn't have to take their eyes outside of the game to figure out what to do. Overall though, very enjoyable and nice work!
I really like the direction you took the theme here. The graphics were simple, but well suited and I really liked the video overlay effects. Mechanics were simple, but deep enough to add significant strategy to the game. Very well done!

I too killed myself several times before realizing what I needed to do. The instructions were clear, but I imagine most people won't read a paragraph of text. Maybe try to fit a mini tutorial in the gameplay and not allowing the player to kill themselves immediately could improve the intuitiveness. Overall though, great entry and nice work!
I really like the visuals and the sound effects. They felt well suited for the type of game this is. The controls were pretty good. I did find it strange that I couldn't fire "downhill" or across gaps (like the stairs). It felt unfair sometimes when the enemies spawned right on top of me. I didn't have enough time to get to safety and avoid taking damage. Overall though, this is pretty solid. Nice work.
I like the environment you created here and the various virus models must have taken a good bit of time. Nice work on that. The controls were pretty easy to figure out. I think some additional feedback on whether you're making the right decision on things could be useful. It felt pretty random and I wasn't sure if I was making good decisions or not. This was pretty great. The visuals were extremely well done and consistent throughout. The music was soothing and surprisingly fitting for the game. It was a good challenge. I ultimately failed, but I made it pretty far I think. Overall, really well done. I like the innovating you did here, and feel that the instructions still left things pretty confusing. It took me a few deals before I started to understand exactly what was going on.
Interesting take on the theme, good way to think outside the box. This is a fun game. I didn't last very long, but I had fun playing. One hit kill is pretty brutal. I wish I had at least a few hit points, but that's not a deal breaker. The voiceover seemed a bit loud and had some static, so it was harsh in my headphones. Other than that, this was a pleasant experience.
The visuals here are stunning, very well done! The sound effects were good too. The feedback and juice in general were well suited and makes this a very well polished entry. I did fine on the first level, as I was able to find a bottle neck area to hole up in. The second level, not so much. I got demolished. I really like how you added the instructions to the game world. Helps those of us who don't read the instructions beforehand.
This is a fun game. I felt a thrill when I discovered the tongue stuck to the blocks and I could swing. Great detail. The visuals are pleasing and well done. My only issue was when trying to extend my tongue up and to the side while in mid air it didn't seem to place the tongue where I wanted it to (it seems that when I push the button, a point in space is selected and that's where the tongue goes to, instead of traveling with the frog as he's moving through the air). Overall though, this was a fun experience.
I like the look of this game, so good job on the environment. It wasn't immediately obvious what I was supposed to do. I tend to not read instructions before trying a game so I can get an idea of how intuitive things are. Once I figured out what I was supposed to do, it went better. The game is really hard though, so a good challenge. I would recommend making the enemies different from the things that help you (and you yourself). Maybe having them be dark and menacing or something like that (some neat shader effect) would help identify them immediately as a threat.
I liked the one bit art style, and loved the sound of the waves in the background. It's easy to get lost in the command line if you don't read the instructions like I did the first time around. Once I read the instructions though, it was pretty straight forward. Great execution and interesting take on the theme. Nice work.
I like the atmosphere in this game. Pretty spooky, although it was maybe too dark and hard to see. Controls felt pretty good until I got to the wall that required wall jumps. I just couldn't get it to work. Maybe I'm losing hand-eye coordination in my old age. Not sure. Also, the opening cut scenes went by too fast. I barely had time to read them before the next screen popped up.
Tango is a bad bad man. I enjoyed the black and white graphics and felt it suited the story pretty well. The story was engaging and well done. Unfortunately everyone died during the swat raid. Well done!

First round I thought, "hey, this is pretty easy" but it ramped up quick. Couldn't get past the third round. The pixel art is nice and the audio well suited. I do think that after each round the value per life point should go up, as it seems it would take many many rounds to reach the 1000g goal. Or maybe offer some method of increasing your strength/durability as each round progresses (like an option to buy upgrades with some of that gold). Regardless, this was a fun entry, nice work!
Congrats on completing your entry. The visuals were simple, but were good enough to represent what was needed. The humor was good, nice work on that. I ran into an issue with the stairs. It was hard to judge distance, so I fell through the gaps a couple times. The second time I landed on something but couldn't see because the stairs were in the way, so I had to exit out.
Excellent graphics and audio here! Very polished and nice. Great use of the theme. Unfortunately I don't have anyone to test with, but my left hand most definitely defeated my right hand. Great work!
Congrats on completely your game and submitting! The visuals were pretty good and it was clear what was happening. I agree with the commenter above that the default walk speed could be a bit faster, but you do offer unlocks for sprinting, so maybe that's not necessary. I ran into a problem where I fell down the hole and landed on an enemy. It didn't harm me, but I couldn't hit it and couldn't drop down beside it or jump out, so I was stuck.
Excellent work on the models and animations. I can appreciate the amount of work it takes to do something like that as a sole developer. My only criticism is that I didn't care for the fact that the enemies moved faster instead of slower after being hit. I'd prefer it be the other way around. Overall though, this is a great entry.
Love the visuals in this. Very polished and well done. Audio was non-intrusive and fit the game well. I appreciated how the game taught me what to do through hints. I did run into a problem where one of the three pieces of wood couldn't be picked up (I only had two cows when I opened the chest), so I wasn't able to complete that mission.

I placed some happy little trees! Such a soothing, relaxing experience. The atmosphere was excellent. The visuals were great and the music so, so smooth. Really my only complaint was the rotation of the planet was kinda tricky to get right where you wanted it (I wanted to follow a human to watch it get eaten by a bear). It would have been nice to be able to select an object on the planet and have the camera automatically follow it.
This is pretty fantastic. The art, sounds, music, effects are all top notch and very well polished. My only complaint is the difficulty ramps up quickly. I would've liked to encountered easier enemies for a while to grow accustomed to the controls and how the game works.

Unfortunately for me I wasn't able to hear any audio (Unreal games seem to be screwing with my Vive and causing audio issues), so I refrained from voting on audio. The visuals though, worked great and were very nice. I like how things changed after each event and the events themselves were fun. I did run into the same one 3 or 4 times (the fight club one) and actually got it twice in a row once. I also didn't notice any indication of progress being made or lost.
Very cool visuals here, nicely done. I like the creepy atmosphere. It wasn't immediately obvious what I needed to do, but I enjoyed the experience. I've made a creepy horror-like game for this LD as well if you want to check it out.
I really like the music in this. Very immersive and well done. I like the rewind mechanic, though it seemed to not work as expected sometimes (i could walk on a few spikes after it happened once). Maybe that's by design and I missed the point. I stored 168. Don't know if that's good or not.
I like the aesthetics of this game. The old-style visuals added a lot. I would suggest making the good items more distinguished from the bad ones though. It was tough at first to determine what I needed to avoid vs what I needed to get. Overall, great experience. Nice work.
Interesting take on the theme. I liked the common place items that gave you stat boosts. Never thought I'd pay 4 gold for a fork. I was concerned about my health until I got a health syringe and was excited to use it, right up until it went to my enemy. I didn't know I had to click on myself first! Oh well, my last point of life didn't last long after that. My primary suggestion would be to make it more obvious you need to highlight yourself before using health, or just make it default to use it on you. Is there ever a reason to use it on your enemy?
Interesting commentary on capitalism. I ran through it a couple of times, though I got the same ending both times. Might come back to it to see what else is there. My only suggestion would be to have the options reappear at the bottom of the new text instead of having to scroll back up to choose a new option. That confused me for a moment.
^ this. This game was well done. More than once I laughed and it was really clever the way you explained the mechanics with the narration. One suggestion I have is to make sure the text that lines up with the voiceover is fully visible. Having the text half faded as it was scrolling up was distracting when trying to read with the voice.
I laughed at "Run awesomeness", felt like a god when my enemies were fleeing from my ax and felt bad when the game called me a wuss, haha. Great experience. The controls were a bit tricky though, as I typically use WASD for control but that wasn't possible with having to use V for attack. The arrow keys worked fine, but I would've preferred the up arrow jumping rather than space.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I read that I was a beautiful flower, but you've created a pretty addictive experience here. A fantastic use of theme and very well executed. The visuals are simple, but clear and to the point. The music was soothing and the sound effects appropriate (I like the "not enough funds" sound). My only issue is I had some problems with the UI of selecting the color I wanted (I had to click more than twice sometimes). Overall, great job!
Having attempted my own dungeon generator in a LD, you have my respect for doing that and everything else in 15 hours. I think you have a solid mechanic here and it would work as a full game if further developed. Audio would do a lot, of course, but the foundation is solid. My only criticism would be the movement felt a little sluggish. Overall, great design.
Wow, it's a brave thing to create a multiplayer game in 48 hours. The pixel art is good, but the sounds do get grating. I'm not a fan of those sound generators, but that's just personal preference. Unfortunately there was nobody else playing when I was, so I just had to go up against the bot. I also ran into the text selection issue when clicking near the top of the screen. That might just be inevitable based on how things were implemented. A minor issue though as it didn't seem to affect anything.
Kudos for using your own custom engine. I've done so myself in past LDs, so I know the frustration that can come from that. I really enjoyed this game. The art was well done and the audio fit the game. Mouse sensitivity was a bit high which made control difficult and I didn't notice any indicator telling me an enemy was close by. I died a lot not knowing what actually hit me. I also don't know if it's possible, but having the game resize with the browser would be a nice feature to offer. I have a 4k monitor and the game was very tiny. Overall, well done!
Great entry James. The models look great and are smoothly animated. I love the aesthetics and overall feel of the game. I did have some trouble with controls. The free mouse look took a while to get used to. I think this game would have been fine having the camera locked behind the player, or maybe just move on the horizontal axis. It's a very hard game. It took me quite a while to find the first person and I wasn't able to find the second. I think the reason why it's so difficult is because the people are constantly moving, making it impossible to scan by area. It might just be me and my incompetency though. :)

I like the graphical style you went with. The simple black and white drawings work well. Unfortunately, I walked around for 5 minutes and wasn't able to do anything. I'm sure there's something I'm missing, but nothing I tried didn't anything other than "I don't need that now." Maybe some hints or guidance for the beginning would help.

Funny idea and I love that you can pick up everything, even the appliances and the tub. The graphics and sounds were excellent. The controls were tricky to use. I would've rather seen a single button used for both picking up and throwing. Having to switch back and forth make things a bit confusing for me. Overall though, great job!

I found three instances of gold and there were some cows heading to the volcano. I was a bit confused. I'd recommend putting the instructions in the game play instead of on the title screen. A lot of people will either not see it or forget what it says (like me).

Beautiful graphics and music. I really like the lighting effects. I was happy to see that controller was supported, but sad to see that I couldn't use the D-Pad. I prefer using the D-Pad over the analog stick for platformers. Jumping was also tricky. It seemed there was too much momentum behind the jumps. Overall though, this is a great entry.
I really like the mechanics here. I haven't seen anything like it before. The visuals and sound effects meshed well together and were well done. I did run into a bug where i turned into a bat, shot the dude, then jumped down to the door and when I hit the ground I turned to stone. Then I respawned on the other side of the light column and couldn't cross. Overall though, great execution!

The facial expressions of the planet are great. It really helps in determining the state of the planet. I appreciate the clever use of "Ludum" as the name of the creatures. This was a lot of fun. An impressively large map for a compo game. The sound and graphics sucked me into the world. I do wish that the ship would've crashed in the middle of the map (so I had to explore both up and down) and so that when sacrifice was needed, I didn't have to go all the way back. I scored 592! This was a fun game. The graphics were cute and well done. Not much in terms of audio, but the boings were cute too. At first it was tough determining where your first little guy was going to come in from, but once I figured it out that was fine. Angle of travel was also sometimes tricky, but for most levels it was fine. Overall, very nice work!
I like your take on the theme. I also liked how you gave names to each of the sheep, to make it more personal when one of them died. It made you want to save as many as you could. It's too bad you can't hit the wolf. That could make for some interesting interactions. The visuals seemed a little disjointed, with the 3D models combined with the flat 2D more cartoonish graphics, but nothing looked bad. Overall, you did a great job. Nice work!
I really like the concept here and the pixel art was cute and effective. The platform placement when you die didn't seem to be where I would have expected it to be, so that took some getting used to. There were also some levels with the moving spikes that made it tricky because they came on screen so quickly. The sound effects were a bit harsh, but they were effective in relaying game state. Overall though, you did a nice job on this.

This was a well polished game, nice work on that. The visuals were striking and the audio fit the game well. The controls were a little tricky, I think primarily because the goat's direction snapped to certain angles instead of smoothly moving with the analog stick on my controller. I really liked when the meteors started falling and would have liked to have seen some variety in the environmental effects for each wave, although I understand the time limitations. This was fun. Unfortunately after a dozen or so tries, I had to bow out of the last level. I just couldn't get there in time. I really like the mechanics, even if sacrificed followers hovering in midair doesn't make sense. I would have liked if the level didn't end until all the followers caught up with you. It's a small detail, but I think it would been a nice effect. Also, some momentum in the controls would be nice. Since most platformers have that feature, it's ingrained in my muscle memory. It was tough to learn the proper jump timings because of that.
I really like the graphics you have here and the sound as well. It did take a while to get the second recruit the first time through, but I think that's because the one doing the recruiting was unsure. This proved to be very hard and I didn't get very far, but I enjoyed my time with your game. Nice work!

I like the idea of having to sacrifice an ability if you fail. It does make the game harder after you've already failed though, but that's not something to think about for a jam game. :)
I did have some issues with the controls. The mouse sensitivity was set far too low for me, making it hard to move the mouse and combined with the movement that went way too fast, it made the controls difficult. I also ran into a bug where I went into a wall and fell out of the world. Probably a Unity bug, but I thought I'd let you know.

Wow, great level of polish here! The graphics, while minimalistic, were good. I really liked the bloom effect, and the music was great. The levels themselves were a little rough around the edges, but the idea is solid and I think if you were to develop this further, you'd have a great puzzle platformer. Great job all around!
This had me cracking up several times. Excellent job! The voiceover acting and singing were superb and the level of polish was very high. The game did seem to lock up on me after the singer said he was going to kill his wife tonight... Overall, great job, I really liked this.
Worked fine with my Vive, although after winning the game it got stuck on the Congratulations screen. It took me a few tries to figure out exactly what was happening, but after that things were fine. VR really lends itself to claustrophobia-inducing games like this. Congrats on a great VR game, I hope you're able to get enough ratings to rank. Nice work!
I really liked this! The idea of mixing a Tetris-like spacial puzzle into a tower defense game works really well! The graphics were excellent (I especially liked the explosions) and the audio was great too. The "Nope" also made me laugh, so props for that too. One thing that bothered me was that if I tried to place a building that I couldn't quite make, I lost the placement cursor and had to click back on the building. That was a little irritating. Other than that, no complaints. Great work!
I'm so glad there were checkpoints in this game! It would have been infuriating otherwise, so good choice there. Nothing groundbreaking as far as the mechanics go, but they fit the theme, so nice choice. Overall, well done!

I did have a problem where the rightmost part of the screen was cut off for me. It didn't prevent me from playing, but was a bit inconvenient. Nice work overall!
I really like the hand-drawn visuals you have here. Everything was coherent and there were a lot of tiny details. The idea of a boat having a grappling hook and jetpack cracks me up. Started out really easy, then got pretty challenging as the box filled up. I like the visuals, nice job on the models. The audio was repetitive and got a bit annoying as it went. Some variation in frequency in the audio or something to give some variety might help a lot with that. Good use of physics.
This is a very nicely polished game. The art is spot on and beautiful. The sound effects are good. Your game feel is excellent with all the juice you added. It does feel a bit more like a statement than a game. Perhaps adding a way to counter-act the negative affects on the planet, such as solar panels or whatever would make it a more interesting game. That was a challenge! I liked the music you had in the background and the audio cues when things happened were good. Game play wise, I wish the letters were treated like a FIFO queue instead of FILO. That's a more intuitive way to do it so that if I'm traveling to a destination to deliver a letter, I don't have to worry about avoiding accidentally picking up a new letter (which sometimes can't be avoided if it appears right in front of you). I would also have liked a game over screen showing me how many letters I got before failing. Overall though, nice job!

The art in this is great. Very well done and well suited for the game itself. The music worked well too. I did run into a problem with it being too easy to accidentally go down the ladder. A couple times I was collecting coins and accidentally got too close to the ladder and wasn't able to collect everything. Overall, nice job!

I did have an issue where some elements were being placed in front of other elements (the popcorn on the seats were showing up in front of my character when she walked by) and at one point one of the letters I was supposed to type was behind one of the other characters and I couldn't see it at all. The art was simple, but very clean and the aesthetics are great. The sounds and music matched the game nicely. I'll echo what torcado said about not being able to submit a line after taking damage. The first couple times it happened, I thought it was a bug. The cause and effect was not clearly shown to the player.
Overall, this is a great entry. I'm going to wrap this up now, my fingers are tired from all this typing!
Worked great on my Vive. I typically jump into jam games without reading the controls, to judge how intuitive the games are. I must have skipped past the tutorial the first time I played, because I was lost. However, I went and read the controls, then went back and tried again and got the tutorial the second time. Not sure if that was me skipping or a bug, but I thought I'd let you know.
The game is well done. Once I figured out the best way for me to play was to sit in a corner and grab the cubes from there, I did pretty well. 36 mb in my best run. A few comments:
- The music is catchy and I'll probably be hearing that song in my head all day. - The visuals are simple, but effective and well done. I liked the use of light. - The physics are really wonky. Every run ended because of a physics glitch. - Having the barrier at about eye level was disorienting and made the game impossible for me to play standing up.
Very cool to see a VR game in this Jam and having it be a high quality one makes it even better. Great job!
The singing in the intro cracked me up, well done! The idea is definitely interesting and I enjoyed the brawler part of the game. The dialog based portion was a bit confusing, but I did end up winning somehow, which is nice. I think some additional use of color might have been nice, perhaps something to identify enemies, I'm not really sure here. Anyway, nicely done!
Very impressive! Everything here seems very polished and well done. I would recommend that you start out the game a little faster, as the first minute or so of the game drags on (which could be problematic in a game jam where some people will quit within moments if the game seems to be too slow). I would also recommend a penalty for hitting the wrong button. I was able to cheese the system by just mashing all the buttons on my controller, which took all of the challenge out of the game. Overall though, this is a great entry. Excellent work!
Very cool game here. Thanks for putting the alternate download, the RAR wasn't working for me. Anyway, I really liked the low poly models, and the fact that you positioned a lot of environmental objects around the level really made it come to life. The audio was good, although it got a bit repetitive after a few minutes. I had some trouble with the controls, though I was using the keyboard, so that might have been a factor. Impressive entry though, I really enjoyed it!
I'm personally not a big anime fan, so I'm sure I didn't get a lot of the anime jokes, but man was this game epic! I'm impressed with how many different towers and enemies you were able to fit into a weekend and you even managed to get an epic boss battle for the last wave. Sound effects and music were great and that voiceover work was epic. Fantastic game! My only criticism is that I wish the camera would've been positioned so I could see the enemies emerging at the start of the path. It was a bit annoying that enemies were being shot and killed before I could see them.
You nailed the mood in this one. The sound effects and background ambiance were perfect. My only suggestion would be to speed up the walk speed and maybe only have the character stop at intersections or dead ends. It got a bit tedious backtracking when you realized you went the wrong way. Overall though, this is a very solid entry. Nice work!
Very amusing take on the theme. I thoroughly enjoyed the chat interaction with the opponents and the fighting animations were on point. A minor gripe I have is the text didn't always line up right in the speech bubbles and some sort of gui indicator to swipe left or right would've been helpful for new players. Overall, solid entry!
I really liked the pixel art. I think you did a nice job with them and the explosion particles when you blow up a rock are really satisfying. Unfortunately, as most endless runners do, it got repetitive and after a while there didn't seem to be any additional challenges. I think maybe if the speed of the game increased slightly over time it may have added to the difficulty and challenge. Overall though, it was well executed. Nice work!
When I saw your thumbnail screenshot, the first thing I thought of were the baby slimes from minecraft. Brought back some good memories. :)
As far as your game, I think you did a great job. The visuals, while minimalistic, were suitable and there was something unsettling about the sounds the creatures made. The gun made a satisfying sound, which made it even better when one of the creatures were killed.
I think adding some lighting to the scene, making it darker and more difficult to see the creatures from a distance would help with the horror vibe you were going for.
Overall, you did a great job. Nice work!
I really enjoyed this and played through until the end. The aesthetics were very good. The visuals and music played well together and your puzzle design was excellent. My only point of concern were the controls. They seemed very jumpy. In some of the puzzles, jumping and landing with any sort of accuracy was very difficult and multiple times I found myself jumping too far and having to restart the puzzle because I fell off the platform. Because of this some of the puzzles (particularly the one that relies on timing) were more frustrating than they should have been. Overall though, you did an excellent job on this. Nice work!
I played before reading the instructions. I will tell you that trying to plant, water and harvest seeds while trying to run away from three wolves is not an easy thing to do! I was more successful with hiding in the grass until one of the wolves stumbled upon me by chance. Then I got eaten.
Great idea for a genre mashup, and well executed. Some improvements I would suggest: Zoom in a little bit. It would add to the tension of not knowing when the wolves would appear. Also, make the action buttons at the bottom clickable. More than once I used my mouse to click the buttons. Since you click to use them, it would make sense to click to select them.
This was surprisingly fun. I loved the "not applicable here" responses and the voiceover was great. I would've liked to see a bit more, but 48 hours flies by! Really nice job.
This was pretty good. At first I wished there was more variety in the riffs, but once things got hard, I'm glad they were consistent. I can see this being fleshed out and being a great game. Nice work!
Whew, that was intense. I ended up dying to the boss with him at like 15 health because I had ran out of heals. Well done. A few notes: The navigation of the player through the room was a little tricky. I had to retry a couple of times and it got a bit tedious typing the same power-on sequence. It would have also been nice to see in the database list which hashes I had already tried. I think I ended up cracking the same codes a few times because I couldn't remember where I left off. Overall though, this is a solid entry. Nice work!
All this done in a few hours? Not a bad effort at all. It was kind of like a combination of Battleship and TD. Interesting concept, but it was a bit tedius to buy and place new towers. Great job for the time taken though.
Visually, this is pretty stunning. Nice work on the aesthetics. I had a little bit of difficulty with the controls. I would have liked to see more snappy acceleration. I ultimately ended up stuck in a corner of the level with no way out, but I had fun getting there. Congrats on a solid entry!
This is a great mechanic with a lot of potential, however, I ran into some problems. It was hard to accurately jump over and miss letters, as the bounding boxes didn't seem to fit the sprites on screen. There were also times when it was impossible to avoid getting letters you didn't want. I also think you forgot to add the letter N to the pool of letters that appear. I tried avoiding letters for no less than 2-3 minutes waiting for an N that never came. Like I said though, the concept is solid and I like it. Congrats on finishing and submitting your game!
The first time that voice spoke, it cracked me up. Nice job there. I caught 3 fish then Mr. Bear broke my neck. Made me jump too. Nice work. The sound effects could use a little work, although the lure plop was pretty satisfying. Overall, a solid entry.

This was fun. One suggestion I would have is to have a visual indicator of a hit on enemies that take more than one click. The audio indication is good, but a visual one would help too.

Hey Noa, I've been a subscriber to your YT channel for a while. This was a cute game, I liked it. I was able to get the 100 matches and was confused at first because when I did mess up, it showed him looking sad, but then went to the "we're compatible" screen. Also, a good number of the sprites were missing for me. The 4 menu sprites were missing and the sprites surrounding the main game play screen were missing (I just saw my player piece and the incoming pieces to match with).
Overall though, this is a very solid entry. Nice work! If you get a chance, I'd like to get your input on my game. Thanks!

Wow! This is an incredibly polished entry. I concur with @Tutti Ankka that this should be turned into a full game. I finally had to make myself stop playing. My only points of criticism are 1) the "get coin" chime becomes annoying after 20 some waves and 2) it's not obvious (at least in the early game) that the action stops when you go into the upgrades. Perhaps having the upgrade window not take the full screen so the player can see the action has stopped in the background would help.
I really am super impressed that you were able to get this level of polish alongside all the mechanics in just 48 hours. That's something to be proud of. You've got a winner here.
Nice work Phil. The graphics, music and sound effects are pretty spot on. My only complaint is that it was difficult to control with the keyboard. The ball would bounce in unpredictable directions leading to frightful moments of "oh crap, the ball is way over there now and I can't see anything." Overall, nice work and I'm looking forward to the video!
I laughed the first time I heard an alien and watched it hit me. It was so unexpected, so nice work. Unfortunately, that alien sound got old and at one point, they started coming so often it started sounding like a herd of sheep. That's my main complaint, though another minor nitpick is that it was hard at first to figure out why I couldn't place certain buildings (I didn't have enough crystals). Some UI indicator of that may have helped. Otherwise, this is pretty impressive for 48 hours. Nice work!

I wasn't able to run this. I downloaded the jar and tried to run it and nothing happened. I had just tried another LD entry that was a jar file and it ran fine, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

I like the idea of combining a digital pet with pinball. Though the thought of a pinball spreading virtual poop behind it as it goes is kinda gross. :) The idea was executed well. Nicely done.
The background music was a big repetitive and pretty quickly became overwhelming. I tried adjusting the volume in the settings, but they seemed to be fiddly and it was either everything was on full volume or it was all muted.

A funny moment: I spoke with the other Jack Sparrow and he wanted me to find a monkey. I found said monkey and went to look for the other Jack. I found him in the ocean. That made me laugh.
A couple things you could do to improve the feel of the game: - Flip the sprites so they're facing the direction they're moving. - Make the jump faster. It feels like the character is floating instead of jumping.

Pretty fun little game here. It's sometimes really hard to get a shot in, when the moment you enter their line of site, they shoot and you have to immediately jump to avoid. I think with a little practice it would be easier. I personally would've preferred more intuitive input options (space for jumping and menu selection, A/D for moving and mouse click for firing), but what you have works, it's just a little awkward. Overall, great job.

Not a mechanic you see very often, but pretty well done. I found the Pro mode significantly easier than the previous mode, as the letters weren't dropping quite as fast. The music was a bit loud by default and by the time I finished all the modes, I was ready for it to be over. Love the mood and congrats on finishing.

Haha, well that was certainly an experience. After getting overwhelmed by reddit-bots the first go, I was able to use a few well timed coal nuggets to take them out. I got to the donuts, but apparently, I was too full to eat any (W didn't do anything when I stood on the donuts). I then decided to bail myself and fell down a very, very, very deep hole that didn't seem to have an end. Nice work!
I agree with other commentors, I wasn't sure what to do here. The controls are finicky (it's hard to get through doors and you can't move diagonally). I like the atmosphere of the game though, and congrats on finishing your game!
I really enjoyed this. The simple solid graphics for the environment and the pixel art for the plugs went well together. I would've liked to have had some background music and feedback sound effects, but that didn't detract too much from the experience. The first time the map changed after getting the first piece, it wasn't obvious that I had to go back in the same direction, but I was able to quickly figure that out. Maybe an indicator letting the player know to go back in that same direction would've helped. Overall, very well done.
The good: Good use of theme and entertaining death messages. The bad: The music got repetitive pretty quickly. Mixing it up a little more would've gone a long ways.

Pretty cool game. I would recommend making your cube stand out from the background a little more. When using the mouse to look around, it can be tricky to re-orient yourself back to your cube. I really liked the visual effects.

This is an interesting concept, but the interface was not very intuitive. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do. I like the graphics and the idea though.
I was a bit confused about what I was supposed to do, but I love crafting games, so I was intrigued.
I was impressed by this game. I think it would help to have a tutorial puzzle first to help players understand the gameplay concepts, but other than that, I think you did a great job.

Very well done. The game seems very polished for being done in 48 hours. The challenge of the obstacles forcing you to use the portals was a good idea. The music was a little annoying after a while though.

Overall, well done. It took me a few minutes to understand what was going on. It does drag on once you get to the point where you're waiting 10+ seconds after each action. I enjoyed the audio at first, but after a few minutes, the repeating music started to get on my nerves. Overall though, I think you did a good job.

Collision detection is definitely not generous! Those spikes must be laced with poison, haha. Fun idea, and I like the "uh" when you die. Good job! I would suggest making the collision boxes of the spikes a bit smaller.

This is really fun. The pixel art is spot on. Everything is easily identifiable. The level design has a good difficulty curve and is well done. The background music is suitably unsettling. Overall, great job on this!

I like the music in this, it really made the overall experience more relaxing in stark contrast to the really difficult game play! My first time through, I didn't know about holding up to slow down the blocks, so I wondered how it was even possible to win. I came back and noticed that note and thought "hey, that will make this easy." Nope. Still not easy. Haha. I wasn't able to complete the game, but great job!

Ooh, I really like that "reset" transition. The graphics are simple, but effective and well done. The sounds that play when you place an item are hilarious, even if some of them are slightly irritating. It is hard to determine which way the platform is tipping sometimes. Overall, extremely well done!

The pixel art is spot on, nice work on that. Maybe I'm just really bad at your game, but I think it gets too hard too fast. I would have liked to see a longer ramp up at the start of the game.

Haha, great take on the theme! Strangely enough, the first time around I got all the questions correct. The second time though, I managed to get that ear splitting system malfunction. It was funny, but honestly you should have headphone warnings or something, because that was LOUD. Great job though!

I really like the atmosphere in this game. Very unsettling. The graphics are stunning and really well done. I did run into some collision bugs. The first time I ran the game I fell right through a corner and had to restart the game. I was also able to stick to walls in certain areas. Overall though, great entry. Nice work!

Oh man, that is intense! Definitely had me on edge. Nice job for that! Honestly, I had a hard time trying to figure out what did what and what I was supposed to be doing. I think an in-gameplay tutorial would have been very useful in aiding players to know what to do.

Fantastic visuals here. The modelling is spot on for the low poly aesthetic you were going for. The music was suitable, although did get slightly annoying the longer it went on. I unfortunately wasn't able to get very far as it seems the controls were buggy. Sometimes when I pressed space, nothing would happen. Sometimes the crane would grab two boxes instead of one and then only release one when pressed again and then be stuck.

It took me a few minutes to figure out how to actually control my character and beat the first level, but after that it was pretty straight forward. Good variety of levels, although I got stuck on the one where the platform was too far away. Overall though, great game!

I really like and appreciate the cartoony and whimsical graphics. They are very well done. I do have to echo some other reviewers in that I was really hard to figure out what was going on gameplay wise. It was pretty fun though to just run around and get tossed by the physics bumps.

Orbital mechanics in a game jam, nicely done! This definitely has that "one more try" feel to it. Easy enough to understand the mechanics, but tough to beat some of the later levels.

Great idea for the theme! It looks like this took a tremendous amount of work to pull off. Well done! My only complaint is that sometimes it was confusing about what was going on. More than once I killed myself because I had no idea what was happening.

This is pretty great! The graphics are well done and adorable and the lifesavers when the cats fall off was a great touch. The scoring system is pretty innovative too. I wish more of the screen could've been taken up by the cats though. They seemed so small and hard to see.

This is a really great looking game. The graphics are nicely polished and well done. I had trouble figuring out the controls and kept dying. I like the concept though!
