A really fun little game. I love the sound-effects and I wish you would have made the music in a similar way. The gameplay is fun but it could me more challenging. All in all a sloid entry!
Well made game, fun concept, good idea, challenging enough, actual good sound effect. I'd rate this 7/10 in terms of indie game.

Sweet little game, cute carrot, looked like an undertale character to me :D I gotta say I was not compleeetely sure about the harvest life thing I just keep shooting enemies for 1 minute until I was dead, but it was decent and challenging, also good balance of enemies and the controls feel natural :) Well done!

Haha. That was much more fun than I thought it would be at first glance. It's a little small, but otherwise super cool. Loved how the carrot also shoots carrots :D
Pretty funny game, though i'm not really good at it cause its a bit difficult. Great use of the theme. The sound effects are awesome. very cool!

Nice little game. A bit hard but other than that, really entertaining.
fun sfx and pretty fun upgrade system. A bit difficult to get out of the low life situation where you dont have enough life to buy new carrots.

I enjoyed this game! Simple concept that ties into the theme and was executed well. Nice colorful graphics (the player is hilarious haha looks like he's living his best life) and the sound effects were funny as well. It's definitely tough but I don't think that's a bad thing. Good job!

The game mechanic is simple, works well and fits the theme quite clearly. I really felt compelled to defend my seeds, but difficulty is a bit punishing at the moment (green bugs essentially ruin all my crops :sob:)
Graphics could use some work to make the game screen a bit more readable, especially near the buttons.
I also found a weird bug that broke keyboard controls if I right clicked on the game. Not even restarting worked, I had to reload the page.
Despite these two things you've got quite a solid entry, congrats!

Simple but works well. I didn't understand how to play based on the description, but after I watched the trailer I took another shot at it and got the gameplay loop down. The highlight for me was the music and the carrot bouncing to the beat.
There are a couple things that you could do to polish it up. The text is very hard to read against the busy grass background, so even doing something simple like giving it a black outline would go far. Also, there was more than once that I was shooting at a bug and accidentally purchased a weapon upgrade that killed me. The first time I felt like I should have known better, but the second time it happened it was frustrating.
Maybe take away the need for the player to press or hold the button to shoot? You could easily have the carrot autofire at the cursor constantly and then the player would click only when they mean to purchase something.
Also, the flash screen is a little small. The play area itself is fine, but if you scaled it up to twice the size it would work well.
Great job, simple but effective. The shooting and movement mechanics both felt really good. I appreciated the simple nature. Good work!

Pretty alright game, it's fun but gets repetitive quickly. If it was a bit more varied I think it'd be much more addictive, I already think the weapon upgrade feels really sweet, it's what kept me playing.
Interesting concept! Really enjoyable, the graphics do the job for a game jam and the music fits very well. I found the HUD a litte bit messy in my opinion but nice job overall :)
After a certain amount of time has passed a green bug flows from the top of the screen and insta kills me eventhough he doesn't hit me. The sound is nice and the concept of sacrifing health for more health in the future is certainly interesting.
Fun to play, and also really challenging, even more challenging when playing with the mousepad

I think there needs to be a little more space to move around. Also, the objective of the game was not immediately clear. So perhaps include a tutorial or even a help screen so that players can jump right in. I felt that the music didn't fit very well either.. Given that you play as a carrot fighting off armies of bugs I would expect something significantly more upbeat and frantic to reflect the gameplay. Some of the SFX sound great, the only one that was a little grating was when hit by the enemy. It's far too overpowering.
I love the carrot character! And how he's trying to bounce to the music. Whoever made the music should give you the tempo so he can line up exactly :) But generally the character and enemies are very cute. Nice work :)

Very good ! The carrot is so funny with its mouth. The concept is good and the theme is very well used I love all the designs, especially the flies, and the carrot, well, all actually ! The music fits the theme very well and the sounds too. The level of difficulty is absolutely perfect : at first is simple, but near the is I was litteraly jumping full of adrenaline and I finally managed to beat it, the waves of yellow flies are very fast a you need to shoot at the right place at the right moment to not get your carrots eaten, the swarm of blue flies are also very hard to shoot at, you need to be precise but fast to kill them all. also, when all your carrots are eaten, all is not lost, which is very good and absolutely not frustrating. The little bonus life obtained from killing the green fly is very welcome and puts the level of difficulty at a perfection level, as I stated before. This is one the best game I've seen in the jam so far, congratulations !
Edit : I just saw that it was a compo, this is impressing, wow !

Funny game. And hard! Specially at the beginning, when your health is low and any hit of the yellow bug kills you. Unlocking harder enemies as your health increases would make the difficulty greater on later stages.
Amazing graphics!! I love the artstyle and the feeling of the game. Felt really polished! The squish sounds were quite funny :D Also... I think this is the ONLY flash entry I saw so far. Just installing flash for it brought back a lot of nice memories. Thanks!

This is fun and cute! I found it a little too difficult though because you lose health very quickly and enemies destroy your seeds very easily.
Simple, pretty fun game. I didn't understand that I needed to press the buy seeds button at first and I kept killing myself by pressing the upgrade weapon. That being said, after I pressed the correct button it was pretty straight forward.
Awesome game! Man I really had to grind to get 💯 but it was so much fun getting to that point! Really enjoyed the concept!

I too killed myself several times before realizing what I needed to do. The instructions were clear, but I imagine most people won't read a paragraph of text. Maybe try to fit a mini tutorial in the gameplay and not allowing the player to kill themselves immediately could improve the intuitiveness. Overall though, great entry and nice work!

It becomes funny and fluid. Maybe the concept theme is a little bit messy for me, and sprite animation could be polished in order to support movement and aiming. I enjoyed it, great job dude!

Great game! Simply but clever! I think it needs more polish and gamefeel, also the difficulty at the beginning is hard sometimes... the messages that appear in the middle of the screen I think is more intuitive and more readible if you can put on top right area. Overall is a great game, very challenging, with important choices and addictive! Congrats! :clap:
