Quite fast game
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → bbaf
Quite fast game
Music, graphics, effects, and mood gorgeous. But gameplay seems a little bit complicated. It definitely requires more explanations or advanced tutorial.
Art and music are gorgeous(I bet you have already known it). But I wonder how exactly enemy behaves. Does it stop the wheel randomly or not? Because for me, in most cases the enemy hurt himself or increased my hitpoints. Ps. Also, I don't know why, but the mood of this game reminds me a little bit of Pathalogic (by ice-pick-lodge). Good luck!
A fun minimalist game with addictive gameplay. But, I am not a huge fan of an 'infinite-time survival' mechanics, so from my perspective, I would prefer if it has some stages (e.g.: for 20 - 30 seconds each). Also, unfortunately, there are some issues with controls in Chrome: sometimes it stuck, and full-screen mode doesn't allow to rotate the main character.
Anyway, I liked it very much, it was fun trying to survive without shooting (90 sec my record so far). It was twice as interesting to rate this one because my LDJAM entrance has a little bit similar mechanics which is related to 'bullet-hell' games.
Great job!
Best game for people on diet !
Very nice pixel art and humor : )
The on of the funniest game at this LDJAM  Thanks for the Christmas mood !
Very addictive, fun and challenging game.
Pretty good concept. Good Luck with future development!
Fantastic combination of clicker and bullet hell. Only need to fix a small issue with counter overlapping  Anyway, I had a good time with this game.
I love this stylization but where is the build for Linux?
Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it. Jumps are very low and work mostly in movement if you have enough velocity. Anyway, their purpose only to bring more variety and dynamics to the gameplay. They are far far away from perfect to make them as basis for the core mechanics.
Btw, here are some of my 'jumpthrough' which I made during the playtests https://media.giphy.com/media/3oxHQwJm39csrhuJTW/giphy.gif https://media.giphy.com/media/3ohs7GwDmVhr53Vnri/giphy.gif
@roy87 I don't have an indiexpo page for this moment (only itch.io). But I'll definitely create this one, too. Thank you for the review!
Thanks to all for your feedbacks. It will definitely help me with my future work on this game. If someone interest in a post-jam version you can follow it on the following pages Itchio : https://bbaf.itch.io/space-dungeon-ldjam40 Gamejolt : https://gamejolt.com/games/space-dungeon/304571 Indiexpo : https://www.indiexpo.net/en/games/space-dungeon
Cool idea and cool low poly graphics. But in my case, I had to struggle with a 3D gizmo which sometimes behaved too fast, and sometimes - too slow for my mouse. Anyway, good game! Good luck with future development!
A cool idea with music frequency! Reminds me a little bit about BeatHezard where you was able to tweak a gameplay with your own playlist.
I guess, the funniest game I've ever seen on this Jam so far  Great job!
I reached the 'endless mode' straight after the bath had become available (maybe, after 5th - 7th object). Not sure if it is a bug or design :) The game is very cute and interesting, I liked it! Good luck with future game jams. I saw you do them a lot 🙃🎮
It's quite hard to see the narrative-based games that discuss some serious problems on these jams. You've done a great job, The game is very interesting!
A small cute little game with the nice art style. Don't sure if it has a restart button, because you may literally run out of spaces and get stuck. Nevertheless, Good entry!
%double post%
O my gosh, this one super fun! I hope it will be at least top 100 in Humor category.
One of the cutest games on this jam. Mew!
Gorgeous game! Art and sound are great. Speaking about gameplay - it requires some time to figure out the main rules but then it plays very smooth.
The wonderful game which has its own style. Like it!
Damn, this game has a style. Liked it very much!
Very entertaining game. Art, music, mechanics, and idea are perfectly fit together Great job! I will definitely play a post-jam version if you plan so. 🎮
Very interesting and honest game :DD Even for those, who don't move to a new apartment. Good luck with voting!
I still think that your game about Puppy Care Center is one of the cutest thing ever made on LudumDare. Oh wait, it's another game. This one is pretty nice too!:blush: Great entry!
As for me - the game is very enjoyable and fun. I can see lots of interesting mechanics which are hidden inside along with interesting AI (The window with a waiter's thoughts is very funny, you literally is able to see his behavior states in real time)
But, the game is also very buggy. It crashes for me each time after 2 - 3 minutes of playing (I tried both versions - HTML and .zip). Speaking about .jar version - the game may close instantly after the pressing ESC. It most cases its ok, but the game uses an exact same button to close in-game windows/pop-ups. So its very easy to close the whole game by accident in the middle of playing.
Nevertheless, I think that the game is very good and have a great potential. I guess, you simply need some time to catch these crashes and debug it fully.
Lol, funny game
Simple but very interesting gameplay mechanic with tons of variations. Sound and mood of the game are also great!
The game is a little bit unfinished (considering the timer and lose/win condition). But nevertheless, the entry is very funny. I laughed so hard when cars started spawning on each other due to lacking the free space. Also, a nice idea for the gameplay. Good luck with future projects!
Screenshot (73).png
smoke4.jpg
Very polished entry. The gameplay is simple, very entertaining and has a good portion of variations. Graphics and Sound are perfectly playing their role to keep the corresponding dungeon atmosphere.
The nice and dynamic game with a solid gameplay! In case if you plan to create some post-jam version I would like to see some ability to tweak the levels of transparency for the cubes. This may be very handy to see combinations that are hidden from the player. Or at least - add some camera control. Also, a cube may get stuck in a half-rotated pose if you change the mode during the rolling. I don't know is it a bug or a feature.
Nevertheless, great entry for the jam!
Wow, gorgeous game! Every component fits perfectly with each other - mechanics, graphics, sound, plot. I will be following this game on itch.io in case if you plan some updates. Good luck with voting and future development!
ps. seems I've found a bug 😄 Sometimes the player may get placed outside the boundaries and easily walk around. Perhaps, it happens when a lot of enemies are spawned on the map, which rapidly takes away lots of space from the player. Anyway, it's a minor thing comparing to the whole picture.
cf.jpg
It's a damn good piece of the narrative-driven game. I am still laughing at the epic start and the greatest plot twist in the end  Well done!
@shapkofil Thank You! I am glad that someone liked it. bdw, the game stays calm after the end-message only when you close it via "cross" sign(by design). But "restart" button should work fine
@ryanjavanshir @bungalow @haberworks @mykola Thank you all for your feedback! We really appreciate it.
Actually, jumping was in plans at the beginning, but then we decided to cut it - to make all in time. Perhaps, we will add it in a post-jam version. It may add a huge bunch of variety to the game
@rongo-matane Considering the losing conditions, perhaps the game didn't count some treasure as discarded. Or, the next wave of treasures was too heavy. It uses a simple trigger box to flag the treasures that are on the boat. And sometimes it can be glitchy. Thank you for the feedback!
Cool and funny game. The voiceover is hilarious, art and music are also nice. But level design seems a little bit hard and over complicated, especially for the first level. Anyway, nice job and good luck with future projects!
Nice entry with cool graphics and sound effects. In terms of game design, I would like to advise to tweak enemy spawning rate to make the game more dynamic. Also, a huge part of the game is driven by enemy spawn location and you should be very careful about it. If in some case enemies spawn far from player couple times in a row - the gamer may fail very quickly and get frustrated because he was not able to affect on it.
In total, I think that the game is made very well. It was really interesting to play it. Good luck with voting and future development!
Wonderful game. I liked the art and concept! I guess I even found a tactic how to play this game veeeeeery loooong. Simply killing everyone at the hall, before registration
Screenshot (747).png
I see a lot of visual effects in this entry. They are great. Honestly. Especially storm light that is synchronized with enemy spawn. Gameplay is very dynamic and keeps the player in a tone all the time. Game design is well balanced (in my opinion) in terms of rising of the hardness.
Great job!
Small and pretty game. Good luck with future voting!
The first play was a total mess. I read the tutorial but for me, it was quite hard to pack all these things in mind.
The second was above all expectations. The game becomes very interesting and addictive when you figure out how all inner mechanics work.
It has a good hardness curve and a nice level of dynamic to keep the player in tension during the whole game. I had had 4 guys and near 90% of happiness, but then something went wrong and all happiness started rapidly fleeing from their faces(lacking the food played its role) Nevertheless, I liked the game. Great entry!
Art style is great. Also, I can imagine a bunch of schemes and game design calculation in a background, but in the current state, for the player, it looks like dark magic. Some UI tooltips may help to reveal this and make the game more playable (even the prototype) Anyway, nice entry!
A small funny game (intro is great : D). Still, the gameplay and timing are quite hard, especially when you try to avoid 2 obstacles in a row.
Nice concept for the game. The voice-over is hilarious! I played the hard mode and I lost almost every time because of some ball which had fallen on my head. Perhaps it should be tweaked to reduce that kind of situations and make the game based more on the player's skill.
Anyway, I had a very fun time playing it. Nice entry!
Funny and entertaining game. The one thing, I wish the intro cinematic has some "skip/speed up" button. The intro is really interesting but only the first time : D Well done!
Wow, nice pixel graphics and smooth gameplay. Maybe, the hardness level escalates too fast after a couple minutes of the gameplay. But in a total, the game is very interesting and fun. (I played a Windows version)
Very beautiful game. Also, game mechanic looks pretty solid. I had a fun time playing it, thank you very much!
Awesome game, especially art style and puzzles (I am surprised that the last scene can be solved differently). Also, I liked the way how you managed the theme. Great work!
Shiba came here and took away all my stars for this game! :dog:
Brilliant submission!
Art, mood, sound, card mechanics are amazing. A really creepy game (in a good sense), especially plot twists closer to the end. ~ ps. І was kidnapped by a huge bunch of rabbits. Please, shut this warren and save me ~ Screenshot (270).png
Very simple and entertaining game. The gameplay is clear. Puzzles are designed very well. Art and sound fit perfectly. So it was very easy just pick and play straight from the beginning.
There is only 1 small issue which I met. I was holding a lever when my interns reached the destination. With a happy face, I started releasing a lever, but the UI pop-up decided to make fun of me. The restart button turned out straight upfront the mouse cursor. As you may guess, it restarted the level for me against my will. Nevertheless, it's a minor issue. In total the game is great! Good luck with voting!
Beautiful and atmospheric game. Of course, it requires more polishing (camera control, post-processing effect, puzzles balance), but this is understandable, considering the scope of work. Still, you managed to achieve a huge bunch of features for these 3 days! Nice entry, good luck with voting
Street of Rage + Synth/RetroWave + UE4 | Such a nice combination
My only piece of advice - to work a bit on the balance. This game becomes really hard as closer to the end. Unfortunately wasn't able to beat it completely. Still, a wonderful submission! Will be following you on GitHub ^__ ^ Screenshot (283).png Screenshot (277).png
Nice game design, cool concept, great pixel art!
The only thing which I would like to improve - give a player the ability to type the spell again if he didn't guess a word for the 1st time. Of course, limit these attempts with a timer. It might increase the dynamic of the game. But it just my opinion. Anyway, Great entry, and good luck with voting!
Pretty fun game, we played it with 3 ppl!
Nice graphics and visual feedback (indicators). It's very cool that you decided to use them, instead of ordinary HUD. SFXs are wonderful as well! The game design looks solid and tough.
Maybe, some additional info about plane's tilt might help a player to decide which stuff should be throw out in the first place. Speaking about me, I just tried to throw everything to return the indicators to the "green" state. That's the reason why I came to the destination point without cargo at all  In total - a really great entry! I enjoyed it very much.
Nice and challenging game. Simple but good mechanics. Art and music are awesome, no jokes. Soundtrack reminds me Resident evil 2 - 3 which I love very much. Wonderful entry!
Great combination of simplicity, aesthetics, and design! Music is also awesome.
I accidentally have recalled your game from the previous LDJAM. This one definitely has more gameplay
@theog :laughing::smile:
@eatatjoes , @cjn , @yyz , @jupiter-hadley Thank you for your comments and video! We really appreciate it, and glad that someone liked our game.
The idea about mood restoration for family members sounds very interesting. Perhaps we will be able to implement it in a more game-like way with some new mechanics. e.g. The player may throw some candies on the table, and if a family member grabs it - his/her happiness will be restored by a bit.
Also, seems that ability to squash the bugs in the first place is not very clear from the start of the game. Same, about the family members. Usually, people use only one mechanics instead of combining both. We need to add some short tutorial to work this issue around.
@franfox Unfortunately I'm not able to make a Mac build for now. Sorry. The nearest workaround may be the HTML build. We had one, but it was too badly optimized to left it on itch.io.
I will try my best to fix it during the next week, and rebuild it for the Web. Please, stay tuned
Nice game, especially voiceovers and SFX
Nice graphics. SFX and voice overs of animals just a masterpiece. Additional "plus" for weather feedback (rain, lightning) when gods are unhappy. It's a very cool for player's immersion. Good luck with voting and future development!
Screenshot (262).png
The small cute game with great art style! 🐰
Nice and beautiful game with a good potential! VFXs and lighting are great! Hope you will keep working on it after the jam. This game definitely needs more levels
Hey, pretty art and funny concept. Unfortunately I had a very low FPS in the browser, but still, this game has a great potential.
Good game with interesting mechanics. But! Putting a sacrifice trigger straight after the checkpoint is EVIL  Especially, when the game doesn't reset you downgrades and ask you to remove something else considering that you have failed 10 seconds ago.
The rest is cool, have a nice voting !
Nice entry! Cool art, great SFXs, solid gameplay. Fork :fork_and_knife:and carrot :carrot: are your best friends in this game !
Nice minimalistic art style and unusual gameplay. Remind me game of life Additional plus for pure GL implementation. Unfortunately didn't hear any sound. In total - great entry!
Awesome game which made me laugh very loud couple of times. **1st playthrough:** I died almost at the beginning even without crossing the bridge. Just tried to test controls. **2nd & 3rd playthroughs:** I successfully reached the musicians and even started singing but also got died very fast. Btw, you may cheat and run faster by moving on diagonals. :runner: **4th playthrough:** Finally, I figured out that my character is able to pick coins from the ground. That's where all fun begun.
**Overall** : art is great, gameplay is pretty unique, humor  . Nice entry! jamster.png
Nice core mechanics and great cutscenes along with music and graphics. Sad that god of random decided to show me only the minigame with shield. But nevertheless - it's very enjoyable and polished board-like-game. Great job!
Very interesting concept of a country-sim. A music and whole presentation are awesome. The only gameplay is not quite obvious from the beginning
@griddolini Thank you for the tip. I'll check what I can do with it.
@adrien-dittrick Thanks for feedback. I think it's because of SFX/Animation/Shoot desynchronization along with aiminging problems (the main character is able to deal damage only in range with his revolver).
I have uploaded hotfix which covers performance issues, plus some gameplay problems (incl. aiming, which now a bit reliable) https://bbaf.itch.io/black-market/devlog/79135/performance-hot-fixes
@pixscope, @rancoud, @fonserbc Thank you for the feedbacks! @lakrits haha, it's funny coincidence, because half a year ago I was working on the similar game for Emulated Dreams Jam (20th anniversary tribute to LSD:Dream Emulator) https://itch.io/jam/emulated-dreams/rate/320342
@samuli @magnanix @popdaddygames Thanks ! :smile:
Awesome game. Simple and entertaining game design along with cool TV stilization  5/5 Great job!
Very atmospheric game. I guess, first of all due to nice art and dark ambient music. Only a small thing. For future entries I would advise to make at least 1 additional build for Win, Linux or Mac. Usually native builds run much faster on low spec PCs which may add a bit more players. As for me, I started to feel significatn lags on 5-6 waves.
Anyway, great job and nice entry!
Nice little funny game. Playthrough is very smooth and entertaining Great job!.
Nice art and fun gameplay. Level design is great. If only it had more than 1 checkpoint on the level xD (considering, how much time I missed the platform or get killed due to the lags on my old CPU/GPU) . Still, overall the game is very cool. FBI dude is the best :sunglasses:
Cool atmosphere, nice effects. But it's really easy to get stuck/blocked very fast due to rigid physics. Nevertheless, nice entry!
Voiceovers are hilarious  Additional plus for the entering cut-scene. Gameplay is easy and fun. Overall - nice entry!
Nice game which has some style. For me the controls feels a bit struggling but it's not bad. SFX and music are great !
I enjoyed it very much Mostly, because tough and interesting game design. Nice entry!
Funny game with awesome music
@5n1p3r-4r73m1s :laughing:
Nice game with excellent art and sound. Separately, I would like to highlight the attention to the small details. The gameplay is also good but is a bit slow and repetitive personally for me.
Wow, quite original entry. Bad, that I discovered Y-invention only in the end, need to replay it again later  Gameplay mechanic is challenging but interesting, art and music are solid
Minimalistic and entertaining game, nice entry!
Thank everyone for the feedback, it's very valuable for us! @staircase27a , @someone Regarding the clumping and book spamming - yeap you are completely right. We saw these issues during the playtest but unfortunately didn't have enough time to handle them.
I guess, the first major post-jam update will be aimed exactly for: 1. Improving enemy AI to make them flanking around a player for better spreading 2. Improving text bubbles to make it more readable 3. Possibly, allow enemies to shoot back with projectiles to increase the challenge
@hyperspacejelly, @taylor-carroll, @the-body, @shimonster Tnx for your comments  Speaking about music and sound design, our composer has a SoundCloud so you might pay him a visit if you wish to https://soundcloud.com/zaqq :musical_note:
Hope it will force him to upload releases more frequently
@conduit @jordan-carroll @chillen @dingdingding @binaryprinciple @vixenmink @secretjuice Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it!
Returning to the enemies and their quotes. Despite the bad readability and grouping (that requires improvement, no question :smile_cat:) there are still a few hints for aiming: - color - letter in the brackets text.jpg
🦎 Conspiracy signs are everywhere 🦎
Also, there is a short moment when enemies are invulnerable. When a lizard is silent (no text above the head) you can't damage or upgrade him.
Atari aesthetics in this entry is stunning. Enjoyed the gameplay loop as well.
Personally for myself, I found the best tactics just to dig separate holes along each other to maximize the travel path for zombies
Unfortunately died somewhere in the middle after falling in it myself (tried to stun a couple of friends with a shovel).
shovel.jpg
Played several rounds and found it funny as hell. Good luck with the voting phase!
Nice and atmospheric game. I like the main mechanics that ask you to fly closer to the direction curve, but don't force you to cross each particular dot (like it were in old racing games). Extra plus for putting text along the voice-overs during the cinematics. Got both endings. In my opinion, the second one is quite dark but still interesting. Overall, great submission!
Art and shaders are awesome, had a lot of fun playing it.
Only a few small suggestions from my side: - It would be great to add some Trigger or Collider box outside the main hole. I easily manage to beat the whole game simply falling along outside the obstacles. - Damage registration. If you land on some obstacle, every small jump will deduct your health points. It would be more convenient to register such damage only when you have been falling for some time before.
screen-psyche.jpg screen-psyche2.jpg
Nevertheless, I am a huge fan of such generative art, and for me, it's one of the most stylized games on the jam so far. Good luck with the future updates!
Nice game! Made it to the deepest point. The only small bug that I found, it's when you shoot the missile into hearts - it's somehow avoiding it and shifts to the side. Collectibles are not affected by this behavior, so I guess it's collision-related (since hearts are bigger in size) Overall, great entry!
Solid atmosphere, visuals, and sound. Fish is scary as f*** :fish: Enjoyed playing it very much!
Small and pretty game. The graphics are simply good and have its own style. In my opinion, controls could be a bit slower (or with a lower movement step) to increase the movement precision. Overall, great entry!
Well, as a fan of PS1 stylized games, HauntedPs1, Puppet Combo, Dread X I simply couldn't pass by this game. The graphics, audio and mood are over the top! The first shark encounter scared me a lot. The idea for the main game loop is great, but for me, it turned out to be a bit tedious and repetitive. Perhaps a bit of action, or reducing the diving iterations with faster progression would help to engage more. Nevertheless, I think this is an awesome and pretty unique entry. Good luck with the voting phase!
Despite the bugs, the game has awesome presentation, art, and mood. Gameplay is also good.I enjoyed my 2 playthroughs very much. As a point to improve, I would suggest to duplicate the quest tasks with text as well, since it is not always clear where to go.
gansa2.jpg gansa.jpg
Small fun game. Managed to outrun enemies without shooting by simply digging straightt down below.
Nice and atmospheric game. Pixel art is great. I like that you put 2 endings here
Simple but very enjoyable game. Make you start thinking "geometrically" in order to minimize cut out slices. Great entry! 32.jpg
Interesting puzzle game that could be easily expanded with user generated levels.
There only one small thing. I guess it would be more safer to lock x,z rotation axis for a player. Since I accidentally managed to turn the vehicle upside down  during the play (unless it was intended of course)
Black Ice Fracture 10_19_2021 2_54_50 AM.png
Great entry!
Very polished game with funny and varied gameplay mechanics. I had only struggle with **Jump** and **Super Hard** levels. In my opinions brown rabbits are very over-powered along with weight blocks. They impact level very fast. Also, sometimes you might get a dead-zone camera viewpoint when you legitimately still alive but "paralyzed" due to lack of view when platform overflows in X axis far from you (2nd screenshot)
In-total I got a lot of fun playing the game, great work!
claer.jpg camera-cc.jpg
Nice entry with pretty 2d graphics! As a minor level design suggestion, I would try to tweak spawn points on each level to prevent enemies attack player straight after he came in to the room.
Very funny game with nice art! Had some difficulties to keep more than 3 eggs  . I guess the momentum calculation is too sensitive. Also, in terms of level design quite a lot "egg places" is reachable only when you have 2 or less eggs in total, which makes it is impossible to gather all of them in one piece. But game is enjoyable anyway! It was the very first time when I heard hen's swearing. :chicken:
Hah, very smart mechanics. Made me play with 2 hands smashing AWSDQE simultaneously!
Very cruel game :grinning: , but message in the pit changes which is fun. I managed to reach 3rd level a few times and stopped.
Got some vibes from TF2 and Quake3, though
@cottonfloweryellow Tnx for the feedback!
@barney25052 well, it's a default behavior of FPS templates in UE4 when you can't control player in the mid-air. But I am completely agree, that polishing of this feature would add more fun to the gameplay process and make it less clunky. Thank you for playing!
@tony @d3kryption tnx for your comments! Yeap, momentum resetting would be great. I had several issues with this during the play tests, but had no time for implementing. Will be a good point for overall improving plan, along with visual feedback for red-square collision.
@blutgruppedigital @brainloaf-studio @jk5000 @masterkrepta Thanks for playing!
@its-capp Hi, thanks for the comment. Firstly, I had the idea to let a player control this effect and switch different types of it during the falling. But it would take much more efforts in term of level design and developing time. Plus, outcome "fun" was not quite obvious since you control everything (unless you constantly falling). So I decided to stick it to the timer, and make player to memorize it along with blocks below in order to perform a 'leap of faith' before each red square.
Great entry! Mashups of genres and overall execution is quite inventive as for me.
Wow, very neat and polished game. Liked rocket jumping mechanics, but the difference of impacts between air and walls/enemies is very huge as for me. It makes it harder to predict the landing zone. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun playing it till the end, great entry!
Well, I have a weakness regarding LCD Dream Simulator inspired games  Even made a one with my team couple of years ago.
Had a lot of fun playing this one. Great entry and awesome music!
Great interactive/visual experience, liked riffs as well! Quite unique one comparing to the usual game jams entries.
Nice atmosphere and mood, but unfortunately didn't get the rules in a full scope. I would suggest to add some example images / tutorial later for faster onboarding for new players.
Reminded me of PS3 duck tech demo from E3  As a small improvements, I would duplicate controls to AWSD (QZSD as you wish). Also, it seems the game needs some cooldown for the end screen, because for me it hides almost instantly after appearance. Overall, art and music are great, game concept seems interesting and has some potential for the future. Great entry!
Interesting gameplay and funny voice overs. It was quite fun to play!
Hilarious voiceover  The game is fun and could be used as APM/AIM trainer for fps. The only thing that I was missing, is countdown and the option to skip intro and dialogues between gameplay. No doubt they are awesome and I liked them a lot, but if you repeat quite a lot of times to get a better score, you are forced to wait. Overall, great entry!
Speedee mode definitely should click, because Jamee's 10sec (despite this being the theme) is a quite long time for waiting, even for a turn-based game since in most cases you only choose a direction. Art and sound are gorgeous. Idea has a potential. Good luck with further development!
Took some time to get teleport mechanics :D. At first, I thought that the dark-green square is a point on the minimap, but it turned out to be only a landmark (that is also helpful).
10.jpg
Some feedback on where the exact click was, would be very helpful. Overall, the main gameplay loop is quite unusual which makes this game unique and interesting. Good luck with entry!
Interesting concept and gameplay. Had a few small issues with physics and climbing, but they are not dramatic. Also looks like bullets not always fly in the right direction when shooting during the sprint. But still, the game is quite fun to play. Reminds me of max payne and uncharted series. Great job!
11.jpg
@nottahipster98 , @juanrod707, @min4uk, @enderr42 , @real-flamingicecubegames thanks for all the feedback, we really appreciate it! Regarding the gameplay loop, we actually have tons of ideas on how to vary it, but did manage to implement only basics for 3 days. First things first, gonna make a small polishing and bug-fixing. And only then move it into the real "post-jam" phase. :smirk_cat: Stay tuned!
Hey @xsangyhix tnx for the feedback! 3d props and textures were done by @kumabot, I guess he could share his blender tips and tricks later. Regarding the scene itself, here it is :smile_cat:
dev3.jfif dev1.jpg dev2.jpg We combine props for the panel and radar and put a few red/blue point lights to emphasize the atmosphere. Using the 80s TopGun movie as the main ref. dogfight1.jpg dogfigh2.jpg Projectiles are using material with emission to make them more "glowish" baaalz.jpg baaalz2.jpg
That's all the magic.
------
Talking about timing, in the future we could use some upgrades and modules as a gameplay element to improve the response time/cooldown and make it more enjoyable for players.
@sheldonzs thank you! Once of ours ideas was to try point-base interception (a bit similar to what you have mentioned). And compare both of them (point-based vs trajectory-based) with some kind of A/B testing. But unfortunately, we didn't manage to implement it in time. Still, it remains a neat idea, and hope we will manage to try it in a post-jam version.
Hilarious game  and poor deers. I really liked the pedal visualization, very intuitive
25.jpg
24.jpg
It was fun to play. I also liked the art style and music a lot. The gameplay is great and not too trivial. All these cute animations and the wheelbarrow with a face are hilarious and add a small handcrafted touch to the game itself. Unfortunately, I got stuck on the right edge of the map, but it's not a big problem. 2nd playthrough was more successful and I managed to beat it. Perhaps, adding upgrades to the wheelbarrow's speed would make the game a bit more dynamic. In the late game you have to wait a lot until it returns. HP restoration in exchange for something (vegetables maybe) would be useful too  Overall, I think this great entry! Wish you luck with the jam!
18.jpg 17.jpg 16.jpg 15.jpg
MY POOR SPACEBAR, o my god
Where do I start. First of all, I would really suggest making auto-pickup for orbs, for such harvesting game it's better to make it less monotonous as possible. I was smashing mine as psychopath :D Spacebar for killing is ok. I really liked the concept of killing - gathering - upgrading. A bit more variety to the environment (grass, trees) gonna be a huge plus to immersion. Dwarves are cool, I saw one of the was drinking beer. Overall sprites and animations are great 7594.jpg I would also suggest tweaking meteorite spread since a lot of them were falling outside the screen and worms get there quicker in most cases.
Sometimes camera was tricky, so perhaps autofollowing might improve the experience too. Screenshot (7598).png Worms killing was quite satisfying. Detachable limbs are done really great. You might notice total bloodshed in the middle of the map on my screenshots.
Also, I dont know how exactly sprites priority was done, but I had a case where I couldn't handover blue orbs to dwarf due to worm corpses spereaded around.

Comparing the income of blue orbs and available lava pits, I really used only 2 of them. I spent more time gathering them than actual producing.

Overall, quite an interesting game with potential. Good luck with further development if you decide to do a post-jam version. ps. looks like the attachments are broken. I re-uploaded screenshots here

Wow, that was awesome. Music is solid and dynamic as it should be for such types of games. Ship shooting and VFXes are gorgeous. I really like the shield mechanics, makes you think in more dimensions. Also, was surprised when one of my shields got broken in the middle of the fight, great attention to detail. 19.jpg
Wow, simple but very entertaining game. Easy to pick up, easy to enjoy (despite my -750 score)
Lmao, so many russo-swinedog bots that signed up 2-5 hrs ago. Try to make some games first, morons. And then post your precious opinion about world politics sitting in a shithole with a stolen washing machine and toilet. For normal people, I would advise spending your time on real game entries, in terms of comments and ratings
Beautiful entry. Platforming is smooth and art along with music create a wonderful atmosphere. The diegetic timer in the background looks great, and make a proper level of stress for the player. 22.jpg Also, caught myself in the moment when I just jumped through the level forward, but then returned back since I had missed extra dialog with the bunny NPC down below :relaxed: :rabbit: 21.jpg My time so far, but I didn't do 2nd attempts (except 1st level due to lack of crystals) 23.jpg
Great entry! I really like how you looped the game with core mechanics. Voxel effects and music are awesome too. During the play, I got a few minor bugs like once I got destroyed by 2 small invisible cubes, and button SFX is always the same regardless of whether you can buy an upgrade or not. But these things don't affect the overall impression of the game. Keep going!
Funny cute game. The graphics and sound design are great. Regarding the gameplay loop: it was quite difficult to get how to fix the electric panel without a text description at the submission page. I would suggest putting some in-game tutorial for further updates. Also, lowering the difficulty of a few first iterations would help a lot. Here we are bound with 10 seconds theme, but you could try make less buttons at electrical panel, or make some of them set to green by default. e.g. 1st iteration - tweak 1 button, 2nd - 2-3 buttons, etc. Overall, game looks awesome. Hope to see more updates in thefuture. Goold luck with a jam.
First you think it's a small cute game, and then pandas start eating each other  Great entry! ps. not sure if trees always spawn correctly, but I did understand cooldown mechanics only on the 2nd turn.
Interesting concept, that can be evolved into a full-scaled casual game. First things first, I would suggest working on bug fixes and allow diagonal movement. It should make gameplay more smooth. Pause the gameplay during dialogs would be great too. A few times I got stuck on the level's edges, but "Go to center" button helped a lot. 5.jpg 6.jpg I guess it was mentioned already, but UI really covers a lot of space and you can't see the main character when he is roaming at the top. You can try to make it smaller/transparent, or make the camera FOV/viewport/etc larger instead. 9.jpg
7.jpg
Still, I think this is a great entry, and wish you luck with further development! :muscle: :blue_heart: :yellow_heart:
Interesting and a bit tragic game. Not sure if "humor" category could be rate properly here. Mostly 3c (character, camera, control) is a hardest part in such games. In some cases you might notice "blind collision spots" during the interaction with enemies and obstacles. 1.jpg Being twice bigger compared to enemies makes it harder to avoid damage or aim properly. Also, unfortunately, I didn't realize how to launch rockets after gathering 50 souls.
But I believe there is nothing impossible and everything could be fixed later in a post-jam version. I really liked the rich animation, art and sound design along with music. Concept is very promising, wish all the best with further development. ps. You can bypass the door and jump over if you try enough
Great art and visuals, game is easy to pickup without any extra tutorials. Could be a bit punishing. But, in case you want to keep instant death I would recommend to polish combat mechanics a bit: - add some death sfx/vfx to enemies - speed up initial attack animation (fadeout animation/cooldown could be the same, but players would want an instant response to any input) YOKO TARO and Takahisa Taura wouldn't lie  gdc1.jpg https://youtu.be/jKbH9i5axxU
- tweak the enemy's trigger boxes. You might have several of them. Smaller to killing a player, and larger for income attacks from a player. It is also not quite clear why we need these crystals, but I guess you have some plans for them later.
Overall, the game looks awesome so far. A quick intro makes it easier to restart and try again with extra motivation. Good luck with the jam! PS. Only on my 10th playthrough, I noticed a different attack animation when you click while running :) PS2. I've beaten it b2.jpg
Heh, I really like the idea and simplicity of implementation. Nice entry!
Wow, this one is definitely goes to bookmarks. I really liked the concept of math puzzle and the way you played around the Jam theme. Great entry!
The only small suggestion, is to add some extra button around WASD QE (etc.) to remove characters along with DEL/Backspace. For instance, I don't have a numpad and running from num keys (1,2,3, etc) to Backspace and back quite a long trip  Anyway, this is minor thing.
Funny game with quite cozy atmosphere, art style and music. Controls are super smooth that is also great!
Hi there @liole , @cananaman, thanks for stopping by! The game was still under development (as part of "Extra" event format) and I didn't want to post link for work in progress prototype. Now I can say it's done(*ish) so feel free to check it out.
@abominablescience, @zinkler, @mircudx Thank a lot for the feedback!
I thought about phasing a bit, and probably should give some "Fast forward" button or just shorten delay timers between cues. The other thing which unfortunately I didn't have time to do is trimming audio cues. There are a lot of silence at the beginning of each audio phrase.
Alphabet - this is not the first feedback I get regarding its duration. The idea was more to divert the player's attention since this cue is not included in the final spell. But feedback is feedback and it's valid. I would even say [a,b,c] spelled separately take more time comparing to the whole [alpahbet] so trimming might fix it partially.
Considering more in-game/ui feedback, a small tutorial along with hints for player regarding the current game phase would be nice. I was thinking about some sort of hint text and arrows like "click bonfire to start" , "pay attention to cues", "pick u'r fighter sequentially" etc.
Not sure about replay button since it gonna make the game a way more easier, but specific features for each singer would be great. Like different cloth color or hairstyle etc.
Once again thanks for the comments and valuable impact for the game!
Quite interesting mechanic and smooth complexity growth chart through whole game. First I just levitated few floors and got stack without mana, then I figure out how to "gather" it and later tried to cast several levitations sequentially when one wasn't enough. fly.jpg
I would only suggest do not punish player too hard for only one collision with fireball. Perhaps 3 hp + "kick" would be more tolerant and player-friendly.
Overall, I enjoyed it, nice entry!
Ps. Now I am wondering if there is something else top above, because I collide with temple and instantly got win screen. It would be a nice opportunity for easter egg
Game description promises Ninja Gaiden, I received Ninja Gaiden  Nice retro esthetics, awesome sound and quite big challenge!
Very cute and cozy game! I really enjoyed it. Thou I guess a small cheating is possible, since player in not forced to close the Level instruction and can just summon cats while looking at message.
cat1.jpg cat2.jpg Also, a big plus to previous comments regarding the possible cat randomizer. It's gonna diversify the game a lot if by any chance you decide to make a post-jam version.
Overall, great entry!
Awesome audio . I would only suggest adding more visual feedback on attack/damage and collision boundaries since it not very clear for now and looks a bit random. It would be even ok to sacrifice (for example) some of summoning mechanics but add more feedback. But I guess you just didn't have enough time to do this, so no worries.
froggy.jpg
Nevertheless, quite nice and funny entry!
Very entertaining and polished entry! You really managed to translate the arcade*ish & beat em-up mood with gameplay and visuals. I can easily see how it could be upgraded with a coop mode where both bunnies competing for score and kicking each other in a meanwhile. :rabbit: :rabbit:
Have a nice voting!
Really fun concept and amazing art! Unfortunately, I've got a freeze after spawning 3rd cat with a shield in web version (EDGE), but still it was a great experience.

Sadly, the link has gone
Funny and cute game! I really liked how u turned out the idea of "bird healer in the castle". A few small notes regarding the submission:
- Looks like .zip build on itch.io is very unfinished or broken. It's lacking interactive books and lots of UI elements. HTML version is nice and up-to-date. bird1.jpg
- Regarding the book UI itself. While being opened, player is still able to hit combo and succeed further. So it is a bit easier to proceed the game (which is totally fine). The only thing is - player don't see the bird animation since book takes the top layer on the screen. As a minor suggestion, it would be great to make a book smaller or half-transparent to see the bird while it is opened. Or, perhaps block the input when book is opened to add more gameplay sense to such restriction. bird2.jpg
- I got a small bug(someone already has mentioned it above) with infinite combo input without success/fail condition. But it has really low reproducibility so it's not a problem  bird3.jpg
Overall, I really enjoyed your game. Comments above are rather small notes that doesn't impcat the overall great exepriance. Have a nice voting!
Cool, this one reminded me Killer 7 by Suda51 a little bit, because of its mood and atmosphere. Great entry!
I've beaten this one. It has a nice atmosphere and humor. Some batteries are disappeared from their regular locations time to time (or change their location, don't know is it bug or feature). Also, you are able to go outside through the front door which doesn't have a collision. (again - it may be an easter egg) In general - the game is fun (especially voiceover) and challenging. Good luck with a future voting! Fun fact: You can get stuck in one room with talking toilet and 4 chairs on the 1st floor **F O R E V E R** :D
The brilliant idea, but the gameplay is quite hardcore.
Wow, this game is super cute and fun. Loved it really much.
Funny game with a cool art! btw, I also had only 14 hours for my [entry](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/hypertexaspachinkopongsurvarium-with-cowstm) due to different сircumstances, so I know how it feels, bro : )
Good luck with voting!
Wow, a very addictive game with a nice idea! I guess I will leave it on my laptop to play again after the end of LudumDare. Also, I would advise you to create a separate itch.io page if you plan future development.
Awesome mix of different gameplay mechanics. Nice entry!
A very enjoyable and polished platformer. Good luck with future voting!
@aerynus Hi! You can try to set keys from the Unity pre-launch window. I used a default key binding during the developing, so the custom keys should work properly.
@ted Thank you! 😄
Nice jam entry and cool concept, great job!
Fun game with cute sound effects. But sometimes this girl wants something which doesn't really exist on the screen :D
This bearded guy in the violet pants is a walking monster (literally) Great entry!
Fun and enjoyable game. The pixel art of airplane, gameplay and sound effects are nicely fitting to each other
Voiceover 5/5 : D
Fun and hard : )
Press X to disappoint the companion :D
Fast action-based gameplay and nice dynamic music do their job Nice entry!
Cool art style and music but the control is quite struggling
Nice combination of genres, but the web version is a little bit laggy for me. Additional Windows build may fix this issue. Great job, anyway!
