This is a strongly narrative piece aimed at drawing the player in as much as possible. The experience starts on the website which the link leads to and through searching there you will find the game. Sorry for the confusion guys!
Loved the art style! My one complaint is that attacking felt a little clunky, and every time I had an unsure feeling if I was going to hit one of those bloody barrels. Keep up the good work!
I can't seem to get S.A.M. to recognize any commands. I am using windows. Am I missing something?
Like the art! I felt like earth was much too under-powered to be of much use. The fifty gold unit seemed like the best buy overall.
Character graphics and music were by far the standout here! Game-play wasn't really all that engaging, but the beautiful details made up for it.
I can't reach the windows or webGL links :(
In the menu you have to put a room next to the button you want to choose. Sorry for the confusion!
@lamossus I agree! I wanted to add a story that you'd progress through as you went through the rooms, but alas, no time. Thanks for sticking with it to the end!
@nardandas Check! More intuitive design in the future. Thanks for the feedback!
@canaha Awesome!
@dj-depressive I see that I get this problem to... I'll have to look into that more.
Pretty zany game! Short but fun.
Looks and plays pretty good! Took me a bit, but beat all the levels. My favorite part, quite honestly though, was that menu haha. Really cool how you set that up!
Loved the art and intensity of it all! Not a whole lot to do, but an interesting concept nonetheless. There was a bug where the enemy vehicles got jammed up at the front of the convoy, out of range. I didn't have to deal with them. Loved seeing the cars go flying. Physics!
Loved the art style and music! However, the game seemed unplayable. I couldn't figure out how to pick up objects and the doorways were too small to fit through. Love the direction of it though!
Great graphics and audio, but is desiring much in the way of game-play. Would love to see more things for the player to do.
Awesome game! kept me hooked the whole time. It was hard to tell when I was taking damage though as their was no cues, which was my biggest gripe. Loved watching my army turn on me when I couldn't feed them all haha.
The most intense and satisfying bear throwing simulator I've played to date haha! Love the amount of polish going on, especially the audio. It took me a few minutes(and deaths) to figure out how the bear-o meter worked. Other than that, great work!
haha loved that bouncy floor! Would love to see a full blown platforming game with a similar concept.
Fun take on the theme, although its one of those games that never feels like your in control with your decisions, but perhaps that's just me. And I to am a sucker for space games.
The graphics were fantastic, love this art style. I did find herding the sheep quite frustrating however and I'd always end up sending my sheep running back towards the wolf! haha.
The audio was honestly my favorite part of the game. Really set the mood and made you fell like you were drifting in space. And for some reason running into things felt so satisfying haha! Only thing is it didn't really feel like much of a sacrifice because all giving fuel up did was slow you down slightly. It would have been nice to see more consequences from that. Overall pretty fun though!
Loved the clean graphics and audio and the super smooth physics! A short and well polished game.
@djh @galan I do agree that there could be less blurring and chromatic aberration. I think it was left in so high because I knew what was going on so I didn't have to strain my eyes so much to see details. As for the story haha. I didn't have time to combine the aesthetic and story together like I wanted, I wanted a more satirical feel than goofy which just didn't quite combine smoothly.
@icxon Whoa, that's awesome to see a video of somebody else playing the game! It really gives insight into how somebody else goes about solving puzzles and playing the game. Extremely helpful! :) As for the artifacts, I believe the one on the second level is caused by the particle system, I'll have to fix that sometime in the future.
@mrspeaker I would highly discourage you from doing such a thing!
@afroant I know, I didn't explain that part! I guess that's what happens when you leave the tutorial for last.
@gucio-miszcz Noted, thanks for the feedback!
@gronther Glad you enjoyed it! It looks like a panning camera would have helped out a lot! I really don't know why I didn't add it... Lessons learned I guess haha.
Just an FYI, lighting is much darker in the web version, but in the downloadable is much brighter and easier to see things. Sorry guys! Will try and see if I can find a solution for that.
I would just like to publicly apologize to everyone for the headaches caused haha! I'll definitely be more cautious about the chromatic aberration and screen blur in my future projects. @enver-arco @eric-smith @james-leib @wowa @ytaha
@fahrenheit459 @dob @james-leib @hectigo @ytaha I totally understand the confusion, and it has become apparent through your guys feedback that more intuitive game-play and direction is needed. I want to definitely focus on these aspects for my next projects as it would really improve the players experience more than anything else I think.
Thanks all for the honest comments, keep it real folks! :thumbsup_tone1:
A fun game for sure, although I wish some of the behaviors and mechanics of the game were more clearly shown. I always love when a game teaches you how to play without actually "teaching" you. Something I struggle with myself. Enjoyed the experience overall though, congrats! :)
Wow hahaha! An absurd tale, but awesome use of google docs!
The mood and graphics were great, love this style of art. Especially the cards and UI. However, like some have said before, didn't really seem like I had a whole lot of control and won anyway. Also, I had the rains fall and waters rise card picked twice and I didn't see anything change. Not sure if that's a bug or I wasn't paying attention. Overall an interesting concept.
Really interesting idea and enjoyed all the info graphs haha. But it would have been nice to have more in game feedback about what was happening. Something I struggle with myself, its always easy to miss when your the developer it seems. Also, the controls and movement were a little glitchy at times making it a little frustrating to control the character. Overall an interesting concept for sure!
Some of those stories made me smile! A few grammar errors here and there, but other than that pretty enjoyable. I will say I thought the music was a little loud, although I didn't look to see if you had a way of adjusting volume so maybe that could have been easily remedied.
I won't be sacrificed today! Funny, short and simple take on the theme. The light shadowing the hand was a good touch so that you knew when the hand was right above you. Perhaps having some sort of counter on how many toppings were left would have been nice.
A really neat concept for sure, I only wish there were more challenges to explore the various mechanics with!
