Haha it was fun, I'm impressed you did that all by yourself !! The moves while drunk are really weird though >< ! If you wanna check out our game, it's over here : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/the-darkest-light See ya, space cowboy !

Very difficult to aim and move when you're hitting the bottle too hard! Could have been a little less twitchy in my opinion. Relatively little game polish, but that's forgiven because the time constraints. Liked the idea though!

@kbjwes77 I'll try to make post-ludum build to make more smooth difficulty growth. Thank you for your feedback.

okk 2017-12-05 12:44

@josscomposer Thank you =) I'll definitively check out your game!

kbjwes77 2017-12-05 12:55

@okk Great! I'll be more than happy to try it out!

I enjoyed this as a top down shooter, and good job getting a good amount of polish to the finished product. Adding some foot movement would help indicate direction a bit better when moving in my opinion, but doing this by yourself in 48 hours is pretty impressive. Hope to see more from you next game jam!

Enemies spawn in the same place every time. The movement is a little too jittery, and the bullets go right through the buildings. I suggest putting colliders on everything and tagging them or using the layer collision matrix in unity. Also maybe add screen effects as the player becomes more drunk.

Over All Very good job though I really like the simple hand drawn look of the graphics. Very unique and adds to the western feeling. Great Job!

Dude you should add compass to find enemy if main goal is kill them. Actually I dont find other gun if there are. And how it is unity web game fluently ? did you do something for that? my games laggy in web

Nice Game, But The Enemy Should Move

okk 2017-12-05 19:25

@cenullum sorry, but there is no real goal for the game, I didn't add it yet. And other weapon types isn't there. But I plan to make it.

About web, I didn't do anything. What version of Unity do you use? I had lags in older versions of Unity, but now in 2017.2 everythings seems good.

okk 2017-12-05 19:26

@game-coder28 Thank you. I will make them move, but it will be post-ludum build.

okk 2017-12-05 19:29

@illabom yea, I will fix bullets a little, but not today) screen effects is a great idea, I certainly should add them.

That was really well made. The controls when drunk, while annoying as they should be, felt quite good. I really liked the kill animation on my enemies. Too bad the level was so short and the balance was more on the easy side. But as I said, played good, and nice take on the idea :)

bbaf 2017-12-18 12:16

Quite fast game

okk 2017-12-18 15:39

@bbaf. Sorry about that) Stories, level-design..I'm learning it step by step.

hypp 2017-12-18 20:16

Quite nice! It got really hard to control the cowboy after a few drinks.

dioinecail 2017-12-19 14:32

I hit a solid 5 on the theme because it truly sinergizes with the theme. I had a smile on my face because it felt funny to shoot as a drunk cowboy :)

Yeah i agree that the level is too short, but it's still enough to judge the skill level. In my opinion a few drunk jokes could fit there to balance it out in it's shortness :)

nekoballs 2017-12-19 14:49

Great take on the theme!

tim-eriksen 2017-12-19 17:13

Nice game! It played very nice and the random stumbling as you drank more did actually make the game more challenging without making the experience frustrating, well done! I felt the game was a bit easy and it could have used some music and more sound effects. All in all i job well done :)

I think this was a really solid game. A bit short, but excels in using the jam's theme. I don't have much more to say about it, except that I think the beer bottle should be easier to see. On the itch link, they were almost invisible.
