Pretty cool game. I found the controls a bit awkward and the game was a bit short, but you made a tiny coherent story so that's nice :) Well done!

Pretty cool game. I found the controls a bit awkward and the game was a bit short, but you made a tiny coherent story so that's nice :) Well done!
Nice little game. I found it a bit confusing at first. Then I tried to play the game in full-screen (which broke the graphics btw) and then the power bars became visible. After that it made more sense :) All in all a job well done.
Cool game! I love the movement! One thing I found annoying was that the default MacOS shortcut CTRL + left/right arrow had not been disabled, so I could not move and shoot at the same time. Other than that a great game! Well done!
Game crashes every time after lightning bolt hits at start of game on Mac (MacOs 10.12.03) :( Looks pretty nice until it crashes though :)
So, this game just cost me like 2 hours. Hands down the best LD39 strategy game I have tried so far! The game would have been better with some better graphics and some sounds/music, but what you have presented here is very well put together. Thumbs up for a good tutorial too!
Nice game! I loved the tiny bit of voice over for the talking, it really helps to set the mood and front the humor in it all. The graphics were nice. The only thing I have to complain about when it comes to graphics were the explosion animation, that could have been better. All in all a pretty cool game, I liked it! Well done! :)
Fun little game! That explosion sound made my day :) Graphics and player instructions could have been better, but at least it was fun to play. Well done!
Very interesting concept! A bit more polish on the graphics side of things would have helped, but it was very fun to play. You should develop this further! I think it could make a good mobile game.
Cool little game! The camera issue made it hard to play on a touch-pad, but I see you already have a fix for it, so that is nice. The graphics were simple and a bit confusing as there was very little contrast in colors and design between the game world, turrets, enemies and the UI, but I would say that they are well done given the small amount of time you had to work on this. All in all a job well done :)
Fun little game! A bit hard to see if I'm progressing or not. Over all: well done :)
Whoa, there is a lot of comments here! I really liked the game :) It was a bit repetitive, but it was really good for being a compo game! Well done :)
Well this was surely interesting! My first experience went something like: "Whoa, what is this supposed to look like? Oh man that text is scrolling faaaast! What do I do? What am I?!" After a bit of frantic button smashing I eventually figured it out. The gameplay is actually pretty fun, and I loved the humorous messages after doing super-attacks. To sum it up: the graphics were confusing and need a bit more love in my opinion, and the gameplay was good, though a bit repetitive in its current form.
That being said, I did read your story about the typhoon, and that leaves me quite impressed with how much you actually got done! All in all a decent game with some pretty good gameplay. I would love to see this developed further! Good job :)
What a nice Star Wars / Battlestar Galactica mashup :) It's a pretty simple game, but it is a job well done in 48 hours. A few more levels or more goals to meet would give the game more replay value, but all in all it was a decent game. Well done! :)
Interesting game! I really liked the graphics, and the audio suited the game well. The controls felt a bit awkward at first as I expected more of a "Astroids" kind of movement (boosting and rotating separately) when I saw the low friction movement, but then I quickly got used to it, so it is not a big problem at all. Well done!
Cool idea! Unplayable for me after a short while as I am on a macbook-keyboard with a Norwegian layout, so that is maybe something to take in to account. I like the graphics and the sound effects!
Nice game! Pretty fun to play, it offered some real challenge :) I like the music and sounds too! I think the aesthetic you are making for the post-compo version looks a lot better. This could make a pretty neat litte iPhone/iPad game!
Wow, i just love the controls, they are sooo smooth! The graphics are nice too. Fun game! :)
Hey, fun little game :) The graphics were cute and the sounds made it all feel very arcade-y. I found it a bit easy as I quickly learned that the best strategy is to just stand still in the midle and shoot the ships as they come closer. All in all a job well done! :)
Nice game. It looked ok and had a bit of gameplay, though not very much as it seems you can simply click every planet and choose the best ods. Stil, you have created a game with the potensial for further development. Good job! :)
Nice game and cute characters! I found the controls a bit awkward, but that may just be me. The sounds and music are a little bit repetetive, but other than that they fit the game well. Good job :)
Hey, nice graphics! As Nick mentioned, it is too hard. I managed to get past the 3rd person once :P You've made a functioning game in 48 hours though, so well done! :)
Well this was unexpected! Oh no! Democracy! was picked as a 2017 favorite jam game over on itch.no! https://itch.io/blog/17499/our-favorite-jam-games-of-2017
Nice game! The thing on the right with the guy shaking the controller did not make that much sense to me, but the gameplay was fun! Some music would have helped with setting the mood.
This game was pretty fun! Very frustrating when you realize that you took the wrong path and that there is no time to turn back... Makes for some good gameplay :) Well done!
Nice little game :) Very original! Well done :)
The game has a nice and moody feel, I like it! I found it very hard though... I made it up to the guy in the alley at the top left of the map, but then he asked for more money... did I forget to bring my coin? Anyways, it besides the hard gameplay it was interesting and well composed :)
Nice! Movement felt good, graphics were good and I love the perspective change when moving! One detail that also enhanced the experience was that the items dropped by the yellow-square-thing remained yellow squares for a while. That made me try to stay close to them, but be ready to move away in case they turned out to be "baddies" :) The score thing could be more pretty/motivating and the "baddies" should have a uniform design element that indicated that they are "baddies". As it is now I just tried to collide in to everything to see if it would kill me or not. You have made a cool game, well done! :)
Oh man, this is not a game you should play when tired! Interesting game with well made graphics and over all mood of the game. Good job!
As stated 3 times before: link is broken. I'd love to try the game if you fix the link :)
Cool game! What it lacks in graphics and a clear relation to the theme it makes up for in puzzle quality. I wish there were some better instructions to begin with, and the controls were a bit awkward as I would often push the cubes further than I was trying to. Over all: good work!

Well implemented game :) I like that the car slowly drifts back towards the bottom of the screen after you have accelerated forwards. One thing that really struck me as "bad" was the veeery repetetive engine sound every time you restart. This got annoying fast. It should be way shorter. Other than that, it is a nice game :) Well done!
Cool game! I really like the graphics and movement :) I would sometimes get sort of stuck to planets so that I would have to use a lot of power to get free from it, but other than that I could find no fault with the game :) Well done!
Cool little game! The graphics were nice and the gameplay was interesting (at least for a while). A huge thumbs up for "(messy) plain javascript"! Good job :)
What a fun game! I loved the slightly slippery handling of the car :) The intro/menu was pretty cool too!
Nice game! It played very nice and the random stumbling as you drank more did actually make the game more challenging without making the experience frustrating, well done! I felt the game was a bit easy and it could have used some music and more sound effects. All in all i job well done :)
Fun little game :) The obstruction of vision as you progress is a cool idea, and I love that the eyes sort of live its own life! Fits well with The game was a bit short and does not really pose any lose condition. All in all a job well done!
Cool game! I really liked the music and sound effects :) The game did get a bit slow as I had to go back and forth in ever slowing speed to get the crystals in the right order, so I agree with what has been said here earlier about the gards moving faster instead of the player moving slower. All in all a job well done! You have made a really nice game :)
Really cool game! It was a bit difficult to tell platforms from background elements at times, but otter than that it was a nice game!
Cool game! I like the different types of enemies :) The artwork could perhaps use some polishing and the sounds should in my opinion be a bit more varied. But for the short timeframe I must say I am impressed with how well it plays!
Now this is a game idea I have not seen before! Very well done :)
Very cool idea! I love that the game gets difficult quickly. I really dislike games where you have to drag yourself through two minutes of super easy gameplay before it gets difficult. I do how ever think a simple music track would help a lot with the mood. All in all a job well done! :)
Nice game! Well polished and fairly clear and understandable UI :) It would perhaps be better if the boxed letters in the left corner were more illustrative icons, but that's just nitpicking. Well done!
This was a pretty cool game! The music was nice, though I felt it got a bit repetitive fast. I also thing the graphics would have looked better if you had the same resolution (pixel size) for the player and the obstacles. All in all it is a job well done! :)
Weird, I have not experienced this bug before! Well, I guess I'll have to do more in-depth de-bugging and testing if I want to do more with this game later. @tvance Thank you! Happy to hear that :) @rob-white Thanks! I was hoping some one would find the keyboard-clawing/intentionally difficult controls when carrying more artifacts interesting!
@Vottivott Thanks! Yeah I noticed that limitation only after LD40 was over : / I'll just have to re-think the controls for a potential future release!
@niborious Yes I agree that the jumping physics needs to be improved. The scanning through platforms was intentional though as to give you the feeling of "always being watched". Thank you for all the feedback! :)
Fun little game! I found it somewhat confusing at first to figure out how to start the game. Turnes out it had already started :) The sounds and art-style worked well together. Over all a job well done!
Nice little game! I think it would have been a better experience if the aiming arrow extended indefinitely as it is a bit hard to aim the way it works now. The music was cool! All in all a job well done :)
Really nice game! I like that you even managed to fit a nice tutorial/introduction in there :) The graphics are cute and the music fits well with the sort of absurdly semi-depressive/cute game you have made! A job well done, and I hope you participate in more game jams in the future!
Cool idea! It was a bit too easy on the Demo mode, but I bet it would be better in the Twitch mote. A job well done!
Interesting idea! I found it sort of har to figure out the best way to play it, and my rate of success felt just like luck. The idea is cool though, and I would love to see it developed further! All in all a job well done :)
Nice game! Apart from some bugs where the cats would get stuck in furniture it felt very polished and "finished". The sound effects and music was a nice touch too! I would have liked a way to restart the game after the final monologue or at least a way to skip the opening monologue. All in all a job well done! I look forward to see what you make in future LDJAMS :)
Really fun game! I like the look of it :) I would have liked it better if you made your own music (with this being submitted for the COMPO and not the JAM), but at least the choice of music was good. The movement and jumping felt great, except for that I would some times land on my own pigs(?) and push them down through the platform. All in all a great take in the theme and a job well done! :)
Fun game! I had to fail tens of times before I got how to interact with the different tasks, so the tutorials could be improved :) Nice graphics and good adaptation of the theme :)
Very fun game! I love the concept :) I got some strong Stealy (Rick and Morty) vibes from this. Could be a fun mobile game if you ever wanted to develop it any further. I would play it :) The game would have been a lot more interesting with some music and sound effects though. All in all a job well done! :)
Cool game! Good adaptation of the theme :) The music was nice!
Cool game :) I love the graphics and the adaptation of the theme was nice. It did go a bit slow though. At one point I even started running backwards :) I think it would have been a even better game if it all went a bit faster. All in all a job well done!
Cool idea! I think it would have been even better with some sound/music, but it was all in all a job well done :)
Really fun and tense gameplay! It could use quite a bit of work on the UI, but all in all it is a nice little game. I really like the mechanic of the colliding dragons. It gives the player incentive to play close to the dragons. The music and sound effects were fun too :)
Cool little game :) I like the controls. I think the game would benefit from a bit more variation the the graphics and sounds. All in all a job well done :)
Fun little game! It's not clear to me how this fits the theme though. The graphics were nice, though they don't really seem like they belong together.
Fun game! It got quite difficult quickly though :) I like the idea!
Very pretty game! I did not get much gameplay out of it, and it got repetitive pretty fast. That being said the art style is very nice :) A job well done!
Cool game! It could use some clearer UI indicators as to what does what and what's going on, but other than that it is a really nice game. Well done!
I love the atmosphere! Very nice game :)
Very smooth platforming mechanics and controls! Very cute idea with nice and well made graphics. I love it!
This was very interesting! I like the graphics and I can't say I have seen anything like this before. The controls were a bit "twitchy" and registered multiple key presses if I kept the key down for a few milliseconds to long. All in all a very good entry for this ldjam, I am impressed!
The sound effects are perfect! Nice little game. It got a bit frustrating when I keept forgeting that there are no bounds on the edges of the screen, so I died when I tried to avoid an asteroid though. All in all a job well done!
Wow! This is a very interesting puzzle game. The controls feel good, the music and sound effects are very fitting and the puzzles themselves are well designed in my opinion. Good job! I hate to ask, but time is running short and I need a few more ratings, so if you could spare a few minutes and try my game too that would be really nice of you!
Nice game! +1 for the narration at the start
Well done getting a game together in just 48 hours! I hope you are ready for more Ludum Dare in the future  Well done! I hate to ask, but time is running short and I need a few more ratings, so if you could spare a few minutes and try my game too that would be really nice of you!
This worked really well and felt fairly polished. Good job! The controls worked well too. A very good game in 48 hours!
Very good music and sound effects! I feel like the whole sacrifice mechanic could be more sentral or useful in some way, but overall the game was fun to play. A job well done!
Nicely done! Cool to see some entries made without editors and fancy game engines too  The game was interesting and has a few strategies to try out. I like it! I hate to ask this in the comments, but time is running out and I need a few more ratings on my entries, so if you could spare a few minutes and try my game too that would be really nice of you!
I really like that list of who got killed at the end. Nice touch! That being said I do think a diferent choice of music would fit better with what I interpreted as a rather dark game. I also think it would be a bit more challenging if there were fewer people in the streets so that I can make a choice to hit more of less people (sacrifice people for a quicker decicion). All in all a very good and well polished game, I am impressed!
This felt very polished! The graphics look good and the gameplay is very engaging. Nicely done! I hate to ask in the comments, but could you perhaps try out my game if you have the time? I'm stil not at 20 ratings and time is running out :/ Thank you and I hope you get enough ratings too!
Interesting game! I like the graphics and the The Office references  Good job getting a nice game submitted in time! Speaking of time... I hate to ask, but play+rate time is running short and I need a few more ratings, so if you could spare a few minutes and try my game too I would really appreciate it!
Very smooth experience! The controls, graphics and effects feel very polished. I really liked the slow down and zoom effect with the sacrifice selection. Well done! The music and sound effects also sound nice  I hate to ask in the comments, but could you perhaps spare a few minutes and try out my entry too? The play+rate time is comming to an end and I'm not at 20 ratings yet :/ Thank you so much!
What a smooth game! The controls feel good, the maps look very clean and polished and I really like the humor. A job very well done! I hate to ask this here, but we are nearing the end of the play+rate time and I really need a few more ratings. Could you perhaps help me? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/colony
Nice game! I love tower defence games, so this is right up my alley  This was a very fun concept that I would love to see developet further and perhaps play as a mobile or tablet game. Right now it can fairly easily be won by just splitting your slimes as fast as posible and you will pretty soon cover the entire map with slimes (and have the game start lagging ) All in all a job well done and a enjoyable experience!
Fantastic game! It was a bit hard at times to hit the enemy spacecraft but other than that it was very well polished. I liked it a lot
@devharts Thank you for trying it out! I have to agree with you about the difficulty. I lost a few hours to some unforseen things, so as the final hours of the jam closed in I had to prioritize. Sadly I had to cut som much needed balancing and music (as @velvetlobster pointed out). That being said I am still quite happy with it now after having a break from staring at it for 48 hours
@velvetlobster Thank you!
@jupiter-hadley Thank you for including my entry! As always, you're doing a fantastic job covering LDJAM :)
@neato Thank you for trying it out! And yes, I totaly agree. If I had more time I would definitely make some changes to that aspect of the game.
@alexhoratio Thank you! It actually did for most categories
Very interesting! The graphics look really great and the gameplay is fun. I do feel that collisions are a bit to punishing. Going from 900 score to 150 after colliding for like 1.5 sec does not feel good. All in all a really good game though! It feels very polished.
Wow, this is very impressive. It feels compleeted and well thought through! The puzles are entertaining and the story is nice. I like this a lot!
I love the graphics! The music got a bit repetative but it fit the whimsical feel of the game well. Good job! I hate to ask here, but we are nearing the end of the play+rate time so: could you perhaps spare a few minutes and try out my game too? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/colony
Whoa, where did this idea come from? Interesting game! A job well done
I love the sound effects! Fits the sort of strange and surreal feel of the game :) One thing that I think would make the game a bit more interesting is if the player did not slow down as much after colliding. Or if the ammount of slowdown was based on distance traveled or something like that. It was a bit anticlimactic to start going very slowly again after colliding. All in all a job well done!
"Graphics are bad, yes, but they are all equally bad and that’s a beautiful thing", ah yes, that is usually my excuse.. err... explaination as well  The game could use some sound effects and some music though. All in all a nice and humorous little game. Well done!
A very good entry! I hope you join future Ludum Dare events too  The controls and physics are a bit weird at times, but for a first game in a jam and in a new game engine it is understandable. I hate to ask in the comments here, but could you perhaps try my game too? Time is running short and I'm still not at the 20 ratings minimum. Thank you and good luck in future events!
Just tried the game out now and I am really impressed! Very well polished graphics and controls with nicely crafted puzzles. You even managed to squeeze 15 levels in there in just 48 hours! Congratulations on the good ratings!
Loved the "project setup" phase
Really nice job with the audio on this one. Those little pieces of music when reaching the fires felt real good after all that snow and wind.
Love the music and the over all mood! The controls were a bit hard. Over all a good job!
Good idea!
Love the lighting effects!
@nachtwitch Thank you! :smile:
@lomt1k Thank you for playing! Yeah, I would have liked to do so much if I had the time. The final gameplay does not really resemble what I had in mind. The actual win/lose mechanic was not implementented until 1-2 hours before deadline, and I had to scrap a couple of features that were almost finished. Stil, I'm happy with how it turned out after just 48 hours!
@ogre That's great! :D Did you press spacebar to initiate a scan? Several purple pings or "location indicators" will show up. The locations you are searching for are somewhere inside the purple circles. The closer you are to the location, the smaller the circle will be. I'm sorry for the confusing instructions, I have updated them now!
Really well written! Thank you for making this
This is a really well put together puzzle game! The controls feel great, the graphics are cute and good looking, and the puzzles had a nice progression to them. Love it!
Love the "project setup" phase
Cool game! I love the animation for the bots  The bullets shoot of in random directions some times though, but over all a job well done!
Beautiful graphics! The controls during the platforming bit was a bit weird as the character used way to long to slow down. Over all a good game
Feels well polished! Good job
My poor laptop was almost on fire after that last level :grimacing: This was a fun game! The controls were hard, but for once I think it added to the humorous part of the game. Good job!
+1 for accurate laser physics and perfect asteroid sounds. Good job!
Nice take on the theme  The controls feel good! Some music would be nice, but then again you only had 48 hours so I am impressed anyway
Such a well polished game! Impressive how you managed to do that in just 48 hours :)
Cool game! The jumping controls were a bit tricky to get the hang of at first, but I really liked the jumping puzzles. They are varied and feel polished.
Cool idea! I like it
Hey, fun game! I like the idea, good job
What a cool experience with very nice looking graphics  I don't feel like there was much gameplay as I ended up just sitting there not getting hit by any crystals. Good job making all of this in 48 hours
Wow, so well made! It felt really polished. You really got the feeling of dread baked in to the game, well done!
This is a cool entry! Interesting game play, though I found it difficult to read the lyrics, find the correct word and then press the key in the required time. Perhaps with a bit practice it would be easier. Good job!
This is a nice game! The controls are smooth, the graphics are alright for this type of game and the music is nice. Good job!
Good job! I like the mechanic but I feel like it could have moved a lot faster. This is a very good result after just 48 hours, and it would be cool to see what you could make out of it given more time
@tupto Thanks for playing! I agree, some balancing is much needed. I had so much more planned, but I ran out of time :grimacing: Maybe I'll continue working on this in the future.
@maxflav Oh wow, you make the game sound so exciting :joy:
@archimagus Thanks for playing! Yes you are correct, that is a bug that I did not have time to fix  I would really have loved to make some sfx and music, but I had to scrap my first idea some 10-12 hours in, so I ran short on time :grimacing:
@spacewizardj Thanks for playing! You were supposed to undock, search for other locations to dock, and eventually dock back to you mothership and activate the jumpdrive
@gunturtle @quadtree Thank you and I totally agree! I had planned to make the docket locations in to sort of a platformer, so that would have made it more varied and fun I think.
@kjscott Yeah some sort of ping/direction indicator was on my list, but sadly something I did not have the time to implement. @aggrathon Thank you so much!
@lcstark Thank you for the lengthy reply! Many of the ideas you have are the exact ideas I had, so that's validating to hear! Sadly I never had time to implement them. My plan was to have some platforming exploration at the locations, and to have some locations requiring hacking and braking in  I had planned for enimies/dangers to avoid in the locations and a more interesting jump sequence. I also fully agree with you about music/sfx being sorely needed. I actually said to myself that I would focus on sound this jam, but that did not work out that well apparently :joy: I think this could be an interesting project to continue work on in the future
Nice game and interesting concept  It ran a but slow on my computer making it hard to play, but I supposed that's my fault  Good job!
Fun game with good controls! It was a bit slow in the beginning but the enemies made it more fun. Well done!
I'm impressed! Those minigames are solid games  I loved the ending scene. Good job!
Good looking graphics and interesting controls  Well done in just 48 hours!
Nice game! As I see others have mentioned already, the difficulty was a bit high to begin with, but I liked the movements and the look of the game. Good job!
Nice game! Well done in just 48 hours  Some more sound would be nice and the graphics seem a bit compressed or scaled up. All in all a good entry
Lovely game! Nice graphics and fun sfx  Good job!
Wow, I am impressed! This feels like a finished game with solid gameplay and a meaningful story. Amazing that you managed to make this in just 48 hours. Really well done! After a couple of tries I figured out that you just needed to gather some wood and then wait the night out, but that could be fixed with some more balancing.
Good job! The narrative opening was really well made and the platforming was alright  I look forward to seeing your entries in future jams!
Really cool and simple idea! Those are hard to come by during game jams  You even had time to make a local multiplayer version? I am impressed! Congrats on you first game jam btw
This was quite an experience! So many good quotes  Very well done! One of the more memorable entries I have tried so far.
Really cool looking game  Really punishing when messing up what keys to press (which I did all of the time ) Good job!
Very nice game! The controls feel smooth, and the voices of the characters are perfect  Good job!
Whoah that got really dark in a hurry :joy: I love the disturbing, yet funny writing and art style! Good job!
I really like the animation and sfx! The gameplay was a bit slow, but at least it was calming  Well done! I look forward to seeing what you make in future jams
Very cool game! If it had a few more ways to influence the fire and some sfx/music then this would be a game that I could play for hours  Well done!
Nice game! I love those little animations during the start screen.
Wow, E.T. really does not want to stay alive  Great game! I understand why you had so much fun making the sfx! Hope you participate in future jams!
Wow, this was just fantastic! I sat down with a pen and paper and scribbled furiously to get the isotope number (or whatever it was called) down before I had to go through everything ANOTHER TIME. I hated it. And therefore I loved it. Very very well done!
This game felt very polished! Nice levels and a good amount of complexity. I like it!
Cool game! Working in js + canvas is a lot of fun! The game is simple but works well, I like it :)
Very cool! I like the graphics a lot and the controls feel nice :)
Cute game! Controlled very well. Could have used some sound/music. A job well done!
A bit hard to learn at first, but that just made it much more satisfying to get the hang of it in the end! The text parts were a bit slow and loud (though I could skip them), but the i really liked the controls and the music. Good job!
Very nice UI! Solid gameplay too. A bit slow but all in all a good game :)
@timeloopedpowergamer Thanks for playing and for the kind comments on the music and aesthetic! The levels are hard but certainly possible to get through, I've done it multiple times (though I have been playing it a lot 😅). You need to use both jump (W) and slam (S) to make it. I do disagree about the "no theme use" comment. The "hacking software" (character) runs constantly in a loop across the screen, which is both thematically important and a core mechanic.
@tolmera Thank you for trying it out!
@nobleboy Haha! Thanks for playing anyway. Did you remember to use the “S” key? The maps are not possible to complete with simply jumping 😅 You need to time the “slam” to hit the platforms.
@adhesion @rubixnoob13 Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words! I think you both encountered a bug related to the map loader not resetting its state correctly after the time running out. If you don't time out on any of the levels, then you get all the levels in the correct order and no error  I did not have time to fix it before release :grimacing: And yes, I agree that there should have been a few easier levels to begin with. The physics bugs don't help either... Anyway, thank you for the feedback!
I really liked this one! Controls felt great and the sound/music fit well. This is the sort of thing I could see people play a lot wile riding the bus.
Feels polished and well made. I like the concept! A job well done :)
That difficulty level spiked (pun not intended) very fast! Not that my game is any better in that regart  Good and precise controls though! Well done 😊
Very nice! Fun to see people making these narrative games too. It could use some sound/music, but overall a nice game :)
Nice game with an exciting story :) I needed to use the guide, so a in game help of some sort could have been nice, but all in all a very good job!
Very nice, well balanced, sooo much content! Oh, and say "hi" to mr. Bean from me
Nice little game  Would have been nice with some sort of limit to how many times you can shoot and a way to restart. All in all it's a job well done
Cool experience :) Interesting to see something different!
Good job completing an entry! I like the concept and would love to see what you could have made given more time
Whooooa... I just played a game in a game while looking at a copy in a copy in a copy to get a better view. When am I?
Wow this was quite an experience! So well made with so many twists and turns. I am impressed!
A lot of fun to play! I came soooo close so many times  Very well made
One of the smoothest games this ldjam! I sadly did not have a gamepad, but it worked well with the keyboard too. Congratulations on completing your first ldjam
Whoa... not what I expected! I have no idea what happened, but I liked it. Thumbs up!
Nice little game and I love the whale picture!
Cool graphics! The controls were nice, though the jump felt a bit "short" in a way. The music was nice, but the stepping sound was way to loud :grimacing: All in all a very good game with an impressive amount of levels!
Cool interface :) I would love som sfx for this!
Fun game, and you made quite a few levels as well, nice! I love the sounds and the music starting whenever the train moves made me smile :) I wish there was some hotkeys or something to reduce the amount of clicking. And it was a bit impractical to find the tile I wanted from the selection of tiles on the left. Maybe that's just because I'm tired from just finishing a game jam... anyway, good job!
Ah yes, infinite money. I should buy a magnet. Cool game! I liked that you had to take care to not move the magnet to quickly so that the items has a chance to stay attached. Good job :)
Fantastic game!
Cute little game! I like the graphics, and actually sailing the boat was a nice touch :)
This is a impressively feature rich game, good job! I liked the detail of swimming to pick up your previous otter if you don't make it back. The library had so many nice details and pieces of polish that I don't expect from a 48 hour game jam. I found the controls were a bit hard to begin with but I got used to it after a few dives. Well done on this submission.
This is very impressive! I can't say I've seen something like this before, so it feels very original. Good job! I feel like this has a real NY Times game vibe.
Nooo, my gold! I got to wave 11 but at that point I just could not shoot fire fast enough. Fun game! I wish the enemies would run in over time and not all at once so that the player has more of a chance protecting the gold, and so that you have more time to push gold back into the center. The pushing was a very nice touch by the way. Good job :)
@paroxysmal @appoxgames @quail-weaver @john-gabriel @alex-mulkerrin Thanks for the kind words! :)
@klausklapper Thanks! I was kind of surprised there wasn't more mushroom games, but good to see there is at least one more :)
@dhim Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Yeah you're definitely thinking in the same direction that I was.
I hoped to have time to implement different vendors and buyers with requested mushroom varieties that changed each day, giving the player something new to focus on each time. The coins were supposed to be able to be spent on gear, maps and so on, but I did not have the time. I ended up just leaving the coins in as a sort of total score. As for the view radius: as a quick fix I just did rectangular math to show mushrooms, and I had a stretch goal to switch to circular math if I had time at the end (which I did not have). Hence the mushrooms sometimes popping up outside the circle :P
My plan was to make the map more forrest-like with trees, bushes, rivers and things like that. I had planned to have each variety have different rarity and spawn only in certain environments, but again, I did not have time. I like your eating mushrooms suggestion! That could introduce a cool tension between spending the mushrooms you find vs. bringing them back.
Hm, I might just have to continue work on this game at some point.
@pincushion Thanks for playing :) Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to portray with that effect! If I had more time I would have made the visibility radius slowly increase the longer you stare.
@bloodbane Thanks for playing! I had planned to make 3-4 mini games that would be either randomly selected when you picked a mushroom, or maybe have 2-3 mini games chained together. I have the system in place in the code for supporting more mini games, I just didn’t have time to implement more than one. Oh well :)
Happy to hear you liked it! @pres2300
Nice little game! I like that you added mobile support as well.
Love this one! Interesting puzzles and cute graphics. I only wish there are a bit more variation in the music. All in all this feels like a completed game, so very well scoped for the compo. Good job!
Great idea, just reading the description made me smile :) I liked the graphics! And the way the combat works was really nice. Using the scroll wheel to change MidMon was a challenge on a trackpad though, but that's on me... Good job making a cool game!
Cool game :) Well executed graphics that captured that "card game"-game feel. Good job!
Cool! The sfx and music gives the game a nice atmosphere. I like the design of the flowers and rocks as well.
Hey, this was pretty fun! Really easy to begin with but then it got much harder. I invested everything in speed and got real fast, but I should probably have gotten some health as well... nice one :)
Nice music. It fits well with the intensity level of the game. Good job :)
Nice one! I loved the time cuts with the beard getting longer and longer :)
Nice little game. It would be nice to see it finished :)
Interesting! I like the design of holding one item in each hand and having the buttons control one hand each. The damage overlay was pretty cool too!
Good job having something ready to submit even though you could not finish it. Cool music, I wish there was some music playing during the game as well :)
I love that all the tings you collect are just added to the pile! Cool graphics, and the sfx/graphics/music all fit very well together.
Nice game(s)! I missed that last platform a few times too many... Cool art style, good job :)
Huh, very interesting concept. Took me a little while to understand the command cards, but once I got it it was a pretty interesting way to move the character around. I like your graphics style. Good job!
I wish the bugs in my code would fly into a web and get eaten by a spider too :) Good job completing the game jam and making a cool game!
Hey! This was pretty fun :) I Really liked the 3d effect and the slight turning of the player model. I agree with the previous comment about sound missing (I did not have time to do sound this ldjam either, so who am I to judge?). The controls felt good and the "menus" were easy enough to understand and navigate. Good job
Well this was interesting! Oh, and really hard! Fantastic game :) I loved the sound design here. The different voices were really cool. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the aggressive turning of the car. I think it should have been smoothed out just a tiny bit. All in all a really good game! I am impressed
Very cute! It comes through as a small but well polished game. A job well done!
@john-darrington Thank you! Yeah I think I will keep working on this game. It would probably work fine as a tabletop game as well  I published a balanced version of the game now if you would like to give that a try too
@vidsneeze I'm glad you found it interesting  I have addressed many of the things that were annoying to me in the balanced version that I added just now. I would love to hear what you think about it after the balancing!
@zeMenno Thank you! I hope to develop this further in the future
@blubberquark I agree! It needs a totalt rework of all visuals when I eventually continue working on it.
@nick-rafalski Thanks! Yeah the tutorial sort of got deprioritised :grimacing:. I will add a short explanation to the entry page here, but to sum it up: the combat is just changing between you shooting the npc and the npc shooting you. The damage is calculated by taking the sum of the attack dice minus the sum of the defense dice.
Well done :) The tutorial was nice! The controls were a bit hard though. All in all a good entry! :D
A game made in Vue.js? Cool :D The game was simple and easy to learn. I liked the graphics! Good job :)
Oh wow, I did not see this combination comming. I love it! I only have one complaint though: You should have reduced the number of controls needed to play this. How do you even reach all of the buttons with your hands?!
Wow, except from a few minor bugs this was very well polished :) There is a lot of time in between crashing and starting a new round, so that gets annoying after a while. All in all I would say this is a really good game!
There! I finally solved it! Pretty cool game :) The puzzle was on the easy side, but still entertaining and the graphics were ok. One thing that bugged me though was the missing option of removing the last command I added. I had to re-type everything at least 4-5 times because I kept forgetting one thing or something like that -.- That could also just be because I need some sleep... All in all a good game :) Well done!
