This is the most experimental game I've seen for this jam The music slaps and the visuals are certainly something I'm not 100% sure what I experienced but keep doin' what you do cause it's working
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Something's Changed (Minsk 2118)

So I launched the game, I got immediatly scared by the title sound, which was not really enjoyable to be honest, sometimes it can be fun to be scared but here it was felt bad. And then I tried to play but did not really understand what to do, I clicked on the guards because the game told me I should do it but nothing happened for a few moments, and then I got flying and stuck somehow... and then the music seemed to crash, I don't know if it was intentional or not ^^
Not saying all of this to be mean, but I wan't to say that you should focus on core gameplay, basic mechanics, make them work smoothly, and then integrate them into a world like the one you created. Here I feel like you had an idea of a story, a strange universe, which is great, but this can not work, as good as it is, if the gameplay does not. I did not play more that a few minutes though so I might have missed something, but to be honest I did not really want to !
Congrats for making a game alone, and keep on working!
@3mpty wow, such kind words, thank you very much - have you got any problems during your game play?
@jakob-reborn I clicked through about 5 or 6 of the dudes in the tunnel then floated out to the big man in the sky and he shot some ufos out, not sure if thats the end but I couldn't figure out where to go next
I got so scared by that shot sound. I was like: What changed? Somebody got shot? To be true I didn't understand most of the game. As I understood from your post, thisis your first LD, so congrats :)
Otherwise I agree with @saering . If you can make a core gameplay work, you can brig your ideas to more people. Hope to see your more of your games.
Small tip: ZIP files are easier to extract. Also since you asked, link to my team's game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/hamster-loop
@saering still thank you for playing, sorry you've got scared. It's my second game - and a second attempt at making my game more understandable and playable. I kind of succeded taking to account my first game but there is still more work to do
I'm a bit lost, but intrigued. Visuals and audio are good. Keep making interesting stuff!
Really fresh idea of this interpretation of the song. Love the way how games resonate on political situation in Belarus. Best of luck!
Interesting game, the art style is very surreal and I like that!
wtf ^^ my sound was set too high for that noice in the beginning. Really interesting take on the topic that makes you think about whats going on. Thanks for the webgl build and keep up the good work!
Really wild and experimental! I liked the feeling of 'wtf is going on!?' that this gave me. There was a part near the end where I couldn't find a soldier to click, and the audio started looping in a kind of awkward way. I wasn't sure what to do, so I had to mute the game until I found the soldier. That was my only critique.
Quite an experimental experience, like it a lot. Congrats!
Probably the most experimental game I've played from all the submissions. I have no idea what was going on or where it was going (figurately and literally). I really appreciate the vague kind of unexplained nature of the game. I think everytime I tried to play it broke because it didnt seem to progress? Im a big fan of this weird kind of esoteric style of story telling so rated it pretty high. If this was made into a complete experience I would be a fan
I like the intro, a lot of style and atmosphere. The tension building with the guards was nice and leading up to the drawing of the shields to the music was timed well. from there though it lost me. I found the web build worked better for me as there was less audio bugging out. but not sure what was meant to happen as I was stuck at what looked like a boss. Strong start, I'd be interested to play a finished version I could actually move around as the atmosphere seemed strong in this.
hmmm, shortly after I started music stucked and since then it was only a buzzz in my ears. Not really understand what is happening there, and I didnt see the result when giving a flower, Did I give flower correct? I think that I got stucked somewhere in air with other levitating people. What the game was leading to?
@kate90 there was no animation for giving a flower, just assuming you did it, you need to 'flower' all the soldiers with red outline on them - ideally in time not to hear the audio glitch/// i'm really sorry it's pretty buggy late design choice
@grenk @gamescodedogs @valkija @kirroyal @scharma - thank you for kind words
@overlook-studios - thank you for playing, I wanted to give players as much freedom as possible but that ended up in messing the game systems, like players would do something that I couldn't predict, I tried fixing it by removing an ability to jump but still it's pretty unpredictable
@mikesalyh @denzil-gomes - thank you for playing, audio was supposed to be "stuck in a loop", I tried bugfixing so you can only "flower" one soldier at a time, but still if you get lost or start moving at the beginning of the ascend you can mess up games timing
Thank you all for playing, thanks for the endurance :) Also I tried to play and rate all the games from people in this comment section!
I have literally no idea what this game was or how to play. I was clipping through everything, flying around, the music was laggy and loud. This game feels like a game just to troll people, but i could be wrong. Perhaps its just user error and i didnt know to play properly.
@blue-pin-studio yeaah, I'm really sorry that you got confused, the flying bit was supposed to be like those Dragon Ball fights, flying around - hitting shit etc. It got out of hand pretty quick. Also I wanted players to have as much freedom, in terms of movement, as they could and it led to some player behaviour that I couldn't predict. Actually it wasn't made to troll people, only some late design choices that I made, that ended up working kind of chaotically and I tried to bring up a quite serious topic - recent protests in Belarus - so I definitely wasn't trolling. Thanks for giving it a shot!
I'm glad I played this, strong, emotional, bold. well done  (I kinda wish the lighting was better)
@arad-hamidsamiee Thanks for playing, I needed to remove my fog/lighting effect 'cause it was giving some players bad time (looked way better but obscured vision / made people confused {still is but less haha})
It froze for me shortly after leaving the station. I could only look around and nothing else happened. It's a shame, because from what I saw it looks great and gameplay is very unique.
I would love to play it again if it didn't crash.
@ryzy27 i guess it didnt froze if you could still look around, I cut the audio in that way so everytime you click/flower a soldier you get to hear a new bit of the song, if you didn't click on them it gets stuck (in a loop quite literally). As I said to other people - Im sorry its just a weird design choice. Thanks for playing
quite a ride with great audio and interesting artstyle for sure ;-)
Uhmm this is a very weird but interesting entry. I'm not sure what to call it but I got surprised, confused and amazed all in one, so I'd say well done :) Feels sort of like a drug trip that went sort of south and while writing this I'm still trying to figure out what the game was about. Keep it up!
That was really strange and unique, I don't know where the weird ends and the physics troubles begin because most of the time I couldn't move and I was flying through walls and floors. But really impressed with the mood and ambition.
@jare actually flying was intended but turned to be weird for the players. Thank you for playing :)
@croped @cg-fred Thank you for playing! I'm flattered by your words, it makes me think that I'm on the right path and it's just technical stuff that I need to overcome to make better games :)
I find it really interesting what you're trying to do, and what you managed to do visually, thematically, and musically. A lot of it is already good, but i also have the feeling that you scoped too big for a 3 day jam. In the sense that, in my opinion, there's a lot of potential that can be unveiled by continuing to work on it and developing it until it really feels complete. Still , it was quite a cool experience :)
i'm not sure how much of what i just saw was intentional, but it was a unique experience nonetheless:) good mix of dark and wicked
wow, this was great! I really enjoyed the chaotic nature of this, sometimes I felt a bit more out of control than I would have liked. Would love to see this polished and expanded!
I dont know if I won, encountered bug or had a weird trip! Definitely interesting

@pawciu You Won if you have seen the massive Lukashenka Robot! Thank you for playing!
A very ambitious undertaking for sure! Sadly I too got caught in various flying and clipping and sound-glitching bugs, but due to the abstract effects and theme I couldn't tell exactly when the glitching started and what was intended... which is actually kind of cool. Good luck, and looking forward to your future entries!
Iām confused, but also intrigued. This is a concept all right š . Keep doing what you do, would love to see more
Whoa... not what I expected! I have no idea what happened, but I liked it. Thumbs up!
