Cute to play
Catching some bugs and going upside down on the spider web was fun!
Playing as a spider waiting for bugs to get caught in your web is simple, fun, and oddly satisfying! The gameplay is easy to pick up, the art is cute, and those sound effects? Delicious! Well done! 🕷️✨
This was so cool. I'm really proud of you bud.
Hey just so you know the "add more bugs" button has no limit or cooldown so I can just spam and make a billion bugs. It was actually kinda fun to eat them all at once! haha. But maybe you can do a cooldown so after one click the button goes on cooldown for 3-5s or something.
I wish the bugs in my code would fly into a web and get eaten by a spider too :) Good job completing the game jam and making a cool game!
Very cute!!!1
I went crazy and spawned in tons of bugs, Emily did her best but there were still a lot left. I hope I haven't caused an infestation 🤭 I'll look forward to playing your next game too 😁
Quite an interesting little game.
Cutest game, absolutely loved the ending. Emily dances according to the tunes!
super cute game :)
Nice first entry! Perhaps not the most ambitious game I've seen this time but I think it's really great you went with a clear, limited scope and made it work! Sometimes people try to take on more than they can chew in such a short time and then the result is hurried and it shows. This was balanced in that sense, and had gameplay, graphics, music and sounds in place!
Nice submission and an adorable main character! I’d recommend adding a hunger or starvation feature to create a simple core gameplay loop.
Good job finishing a game for your first entry! Graphics are very cute! I like the music.
Wow! Great game for your first participation in Ludum Dare! Regarding the music, I recommend using [BeepBox](https://www.beepbox.co) if you want quick results, since the Compo format can be quite challenging given how little time you have to do everything. The graphics look good and will improve with patience, and if you’d like more creative freedom when making your own games, I encourage you to try engines like Godot. If you enjoy creating games, keep learning and experimenting, you’re off to a great start! Good entry, good game!
Nice work! And a compo release too! My first three participations on Ludum Dare I didn't even finish a game to submit! And I was almost 30 then
I fed Emily and was entertained, so I think you succeeded. If you'll take words of advice, I could've used some help with the controls. I couldn't figure out what IJKL does, luckily it wasn't required to feed her  Also, in case you next time want to avoid a bug spawning button, you could make a timer, so it triggers every few seconds or so and spawns some bugs.
You tried out our game as well, thanks for your kind words!
Very cute game, liked the handmade art and doing this at 10 years old is really awesome!! Congrats on releasing your first Ludum Dare title, and cheers to many more :)
Congrats on your first compo game! I liked the little details like the walking animation and how the flies cry for help when you get near them. Keep at it and who knows where this hobby will take you!
