Cool concept. Great narrating, very self-aware. Kept me going. I died at about loop 20 because enemies come faster and with less warning from the top and bottom (because of the resolution ratio), but the promise of music made me want to try again. I'm glad I did. Extra half-point to graphics for that bloom.

Lol that 'good graphics' is turning HDR on. Great game, funny, really liked it. Stopped before I died, but might be better to avoid a running out of lives situation in a game that would have far less appeal if someone had to restart completely.

gevernus 2020-10-05 00:49

Its all Five's. This Game is glorious, i like it so much. I want make games like this!

pronomicalartist 2020-10-05 05:58

Very cool entry, the theme is very much alive in this one, and nice minimalist graphics to look at.

smiley 2020-10-06 03:25

Nice implementation of the theme and nice way to keep the player intrested by slowly rising the bar and communicate with the messages.

The only thing to complain about is that I would hade like the movement to be a bit smoother.

bicheste 2020-10-06 03:40

Very good use of narrative elements. I got bamboozled at the end. Heck.png

zwodahs 2020-10-06 03:52

Good implementation and interpretation of the theme.

Although many of us managed to complete it, I suspect that restarting people to the start of the game when they die might means that some people give up and didn't complete it, especially at the more enemy segment.

Definitely a must play for this year jam.

danial-jumagaliyev 2020-10-06 03:56

@zwodahs yes, I think the game is on the "developer" level difficulty at the moment

danial-jumagaliyev 2020-10-06 03:57

@testuser @rhoff95 @gevernus @pronomicalartist @smiley thanks for the feedback! Gladly appreciate it

danial-jumagaliyev 2020-10-06 03:59

@bicheste thanks for confirming that you finished it, hope you enjoyed :v:

Good entry. Simple but really good done. May th ejump have to be more dynamic/fast. But it's a good game anyway. Great job.

galse87 2020-10-06 12:44

The thing that "talks" to me is funny. Get my 5 star humor.

bek 2020-10-06 12:52

I love it, the chat is awesome and it kept me going. You did really well on this. Simple yet fun game

mohmehdi 2020-10-07 01:00

lol when i saw " Too Easy?" i knew i was gonna die its funny how u added thing u asked from urself during making the game umm lets see i want some graphics for my game (a few moments later) perfect . now i want sound...

ree-rolph 2020-10-07 01:30

Very good work, my favourite of the more meta games I've played so far. The minimal graphics are well executed, and none of the additions outstay their welcome.

theoratkin 2020-10-07 04:06

Yet another awesome game from you! I love how you keep player's interest to the game with various creative gameplay changes, constantly adding something new and unexpected. And it perfectly fits the theme!

danial-jumagaliyev 2020-10-07 04:19

@fax @galse87 @bek @mohmehdi @ree-rolph @theogen Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback!

tauheed-game-dev 2020-10-09 07:12

The absolute Definition of the theme. Awesome game!

fumybulb 2020-10-09 17:33

Cool stuff! I expected the last level to be a loop too.

spawncampgames 2020-10-10 02:29

Mighty fine game for a compo! Kept me invested until the end also.. The only critique I have is on the 3 dimensional circle u can just spam into the wall.. Other than that Top marks!

sebastian-caron 2020-10-18 19:05

Well Done, this game is awesome !

geckoo1337 2020-10-19 21:13

Neat. Simple gameplay but efficient. I like quotes and humor. Nice casual game. Thank you ++

thegreenworm 2020-10-27 08:42

Something to be expected when you know the guy behind it, but still a good experience. I think you should add some kind of joke that prevent you from dying, as the warmup is quite long. Tons of work for a compo game, good job !

tim-eriksen 2020-10-27 11:33

Wow this was quite an experience! So well made with so many twists and turns. I am impressed!

danial-jumagaliyev 2020-10-27 11:39

@tauheed-game-dev @fumybulb @spawncampgames @sebastian-caron @geckoo1337 @thegreenworm @tim-eriksen thanks for checking out my game :slight_smile:

j0ye 2020-10-27 12:16

Wow, this is nice. Everything is well done and I love the concept. Very easy to get in and you can play for a long time. Restart should be quicker tho.

stefan-b 2020-10-27 13:28

I like the dialog, also at some places it could have been even a bit more on the spot, as in "would like more shiny graphics"? ;)

jiri-hysek 2020-10-27 13:48

That was fun! I has to keep playing this because I want to know what's next.. :)

skyvastern 2020-10-27 14:15

This game started out pretty generic but slowly and slowly it kept on surprising me. And whenever I thought this is it, there were more surprises to come. Finally I was able to get out of the loop... or maybe not?

Enjoyed the game a lot and I'm all in for the sequel. I love surprises and unexpected things in a game. And you did it very well within 48 hours. A great game, kept me curious every second :D

quinn-patrick 2020-10-27 15:54

I wasn't able to make it to the end, but I got a pretty good feel for it. I love the big, bold interface. This game is really visually impressive in general, with solid use of minimalism. The progression is good, and keep things coming. I do wish there was a bit more feedback when getting hit and doing damage to the ring. Maybe if the sound got stronger as the ring took damage? Really nice job overall, though.

zuvr 2020-10-27 16:19

I really liked the premise of the actual game slowly building up in such a story driven and rhetorical manner, the mechanics were smooth and functional, and the aesthetic really fit together.

Great game!
