LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Closed Circuit by Criobite 2020-10-26T23:27:02Z

fantastic visuals, but gameplay lacked depth and did not see any way to create a strategy or do anything other than stand and take bullets while shooting. Would like to see this game added to. Great job!

Mr. Cheeks Sweet Dreams by MrTroy 2020-10-06T22:12:22Z

Cool game! art style was really impressive. It is confusing to me that you have both blocks and spikes hurt the player, why not all spikes or all blocks? There are also a lot of cases where a heart of candy was in a location that was impossible to get to. I would have preferred to have the obstacles come more slowly, but more frequently, so there was less reliance on reacting times and more chance to plan out where you would go and how to get the candy/hearts. good job!

Rim of Zitra by Listonos 2020-10-05T01:29:32Z

Great game! Would love to see this with animation/art on the cars to show the story unfolding, while keeping a faster pace than listening to the audio.

Core Defense by JCMonkey 2020-10-05T14:47:43Z

Great game! Would have liked to see the gameplay involve more trade-offs. What does floating around the planet serve vs just staying in one place? Why would you ever stop shooting? Maybe something like rapid clicking for weak bullets or press and hold for one big one could give the player some way to create their own strategy. well done, SFX are great.

Atomos by phi 2020-10-06T23:16:07Z

Really cool game. Liked the chemistry tie in theme. Would have liked to see more visual feedback on the element you were at, although in a jam I understand that might have not been possible. Looking forward to seeing more.

Dynamo by BoltKey 2020-10-04T23:46:53Z

Great sound, and fun to figure out what to do. It started spinning a little too fast to control, but I had fun!

Thunder Rally by smilewood 2020-10-05T01:35:07Z

Great game! really liked the art. would like to see some gameplay mechanic to earn money. As is it does not seem like it really matters what I do.

Etracyte by bentglasstube 2020-10-05T00:13:14Z

link to game?

Loop Bouncer by pkenney 2020-10-06T23:05:45Z

Cool game! movement felt nice, and enjoyed just moving around. Would like to see this mechanic applied to a loop where the gravity also looped around, so 'down' was always the outside of the track.

Struck in a loop by Moczan 2020-10-04T23:52:53Z

Excellent game, ship model is super cool. This would be well served with some sounds, but was great as is too!

Electronic Toy Racecar Championship by UncleGubbsy 2020-10-06T23:09:25Z

Would love to see a WebGL version!

Loop Swat 'em Gravity by Nick Rafalski 2020-10-05T05:08:50Z

Fantastic game. I typically skip past all the text and just try and figure it out, and the dual colors of the paddles was kind of confusing since it doesn't seem to matter what you hit them with, just where they go. So take that how you want. The sounds, graphics, and idea are all very cool and unique. Great job!

Angriff by Literally Void 2020-10-05T00:39:37Z

Great game! Could be well served with player weapons having some consequence, like recoil etc. so that you have a reason to ever stop shooting.

Escape the Loop by magnusfurcifer 2020-10-05T15:05:58Z

Great game! Interesting concept that I think could easily be expanded upon. Seems like a game where N+ style platforming would work really well, the player needs the ability to be agile and I think the collisions/movement here prohibits that some. I would also like to see another take on the death system, is there some other way to penalize the player for getting hit by the cleaner? Maybe the last key they got starts to float back to its location and they have a short time to catch it again. Good job!

John & Terry by cleitoneldorn 2020-10-05T00:58:53Z

Great game! Would like to see some wall textures, probably would add to feel of speed as you move, especially when there are no objects on screen. Great job!

Anomaly 47 by PhilStrahl 2020-10-06T22:46:21Z

Would love to see a WebGL version!

Anomaly 47 by PhilStrahl 2020-10-07T02:52:27Z

@philstrahl haha I totally understand. I started on GM before unity and switched over to be able to get export functionality for everything, for free (among other reasons). I would definitely recommend making the jump to a tool that will let you get your game to more people.

Hyperloop hell by Aterlamia 2020-10-06T22:29:37Z

Fantastic art and visuals. Really appreciate a walk faster button. Did not like being prevented from going towards the gunshots, seems like a narrative 'invisible wall'. Would have preferred some other explanation/blocking that made more sense as I am playing with a video game character I am willing to put in danger. Also I really dislike the main font, the hyper-low-resolution font type in general can be super heard to read, and in a game about reading it seems to make for a worse experience, imo. Well done, this is the only text game I actually was interested in reading through.

Circled by jobluch 2020-10-26T20:12:25Z

Cool game! main issue is that it was not clear to me when the rings became non-dangerous. Waiting in the center and not moving kills you, but eventually you can pass over them? Would like to see them disappear or change color to know when I can float past them. Well done.

a Damsel a Day by alec 2020-10-05T13:51:42Z

Great game! Art is super clean and nice. Would like to see some other mechanic tied into saving the girl. As is, seems like reaction time is the only deciding factor, and it would be cool if the train track configuration had more significance.

Mobius by testuser 2020-10-05T15:11:31Z

Cool game! Mouse sensitivity was way too high for me. I would have preferred to see a single puzzle that was more polished and had the best example of the looping mechanic you had than a series of levels. Good job!

SnakeLoops by datadazer 2020-10-06T22:46:01Z

Great game! seems very similar to Snake Pass? Very impressive game to make in such a short time. Not sure if you had played Snake Pass, but if you did, then I would have liked to see some new twist on the snake-movement system. Either way, really fun game.

Race The Loops by vinzBad 2020-10-05T00:35:40Z

Really cool game. There a so many things I can think that you could add after the jam, definitely interested in seeing more!

BOTLOOP by Bernhard 2020-10-26T22:28:34Z

Cool game! This is a nicely made game, but unfortunately is a very popular idea for game jams that I have seen many times. That may not be fair to judge this individually, but does make it more challenging to do this idea really well. A common issue that this game also has, is that puzzle solutions rely a lot on trial and error. Long solutions are too many moves for a player to reasonable predict the exact path, and just trying multiple solutions is easier and faster. Also, it is very easy to accidentally find the right solution. This leads to a lack of satisfaction when solving puzzles because there is no mental moment of discovering the solution. Would love to see this expanded on in a new direction. program components besides basic movement and level tiles other than walls and empty spaces could provide a huge range of interesting puzzles.

One Can Do! by EvoGenGames 2020-10-05T15:01:35Z

Cool game! Would like to see more elaboration on why the driver feels the need to dive in circles. It is also strange to stop in the middle of a roundabout when there is no stop sign or anything. Very interested to see you add to this!

Loopy Boy by rex64 2020-10-05T16:40:37Z

Cool game! Seen a few of these 'program movements' ideas and common problem seems to be trial-and-error is the only way to play. Would really like to see some way of allowing the player more agency and control. Also a little unintuitive that "move" just means start moving, might be easier to only move while it is on and combine the move/stop buttons. Great job!

You're A Loop by RIBOUT Horace 2020-10-06T23:11:25Z

Great job! Agree this is more a toy than a game, but it really is a fantastic toy. Would much rather play a perfect experience like this than anything else less polished. Hope to see more added.

Circle Golf by CG_Fred 2020-10-26T22:41:36Z

Cool game! would have liked to see more level variation or new mechanics added. Seemed like every puzzle was just trying to get to the top and then fall onto the hole. Maybe other shaped 'containers' or different ball properties.

Active Cell by Jonas Michael 2020-10-06T21:58:00Z

Great game! Time between figuring out the solution in my head vs being able to complete it on screen was way too long for me. Would have liked a smoother interface for setting up the sequence, and faster movement! Seeing the plan carried out is the cool part about this game, so I would like to see that done in a cool way that does not feel like waiting for the game to catch up to me.

Energy Loop by SpaceMonkey 2020-10-26T19:35:50Z

Great game!

Save Her by Lestat 2020-10-05T15:31:09Z

Would love to see a WebGL version!

Loop Jumper by Xacur 2020-10-04T23:49:04Z

Nice music. I would like to have had the upgrade mechanics, and whatever else there was to see shown off immediately. First level seems pretty long. Great job!

Loop Online Mmo by cax 2020-10-06T21:45:44Z

Cool idea, but would have liked to see bots or something sop I could have played against someone/something. Well done.

Ternimal Velocity by Infraxion 2020-10-05T16:24:34Z

Cool game, art is really well done.

TALLY MARKS by de3sol 2020-10-06T21:37:15Z

Would like to see a WebGL version!

Loop Back to the Future by Lex 2020-10-06T23:02:22Z

This is an awesome game. Was not able to figure out just by playing, which I prefer, but once I did I really enjoyed it. Might suggest having the sections of track where you hold down the mouse green, and the others red, rather than indicating only the transition. This might indicate better what you need to do since red/green is a common symbol for gas/break.

TRiXIT by tulipekoni 2020-10-05T16:56:21Z

Would love to see a WebGL version!

Under The Moon by Albuquerque 2020-10-05T00:12:34Z

Cool game! The art is nice and polished looking.

Raceabout by joll05 2020-10-26T19:30:26Z

Cool game! I think there are cool possibilities with a looping driving game, but you have not added any mechanic that is unique to a looping game. For example, an infinite runner style game with random obstacles is effectively the same as this. Would like to see some mechanic that is unique to looping, like paths or tracks that you can go on that loop around rather than just a plain circle or switching between loops kind of like how your menu looks, for example. I think this game would also benefit from less randomness in the obstacle placement. Having series of barriers that act to force you away or towards the circle I think would be more interesting than all random single obstacles. Great job, would like to see more added to this!

Rat Inc by Wouter Deferme 2020-10-06T22:02:23Z

Cool game! Fun take on the theme, but did not offer any gameplay hook that made me want to continue pressing a button. Also would have liked to see the wheel rotation look like it was spinning the right way, a lot of idle games can get by on looks and animation alone if it is something enjoyable to watch happen.

DEMON LOOP by dinosire 2020-10-05T05:14:35Z

Really cool game! 10/10 beard category. It was a little unintuitive to use the mouse to place wands, but have them show up at the wizards feet. I would prefer mouse and range of placement near wizard, or just use keyboard for everything.

Ring Rush by blotosaur 2020-10-06T22:55:44Z

Cool game! realizing that I needed to bounce and go the other way on level 2 was a great moment. I think this is a great core game that you could build on. I did not like the insta-kill blocks, and feel like there must be some more "puzzley" way of adding difficulty to this.

Blastaround by andrew-marsh 2020-10-05T00:32:01Z

Awesome idea! It was nice to be happily surprised that there was more to the game than it looks (didn't read description). Would be cool to see 'clones' that help you in addition to them being enemies.

Lights by oda 2020-10-04T23:59:22Z

Great game! Might have preferred to play with mouse to allow me to make a quick save.

Mel's Bells by Pizzasgood 2020-10-05T01:54:06Z

Great game! I like the difficulty of tone matching without visuals, but might be more fun to introduce the buttons one at a time to learn the sounds and then ramp up the difficulty.

Loopsed In Space by Todd Mitchell 2020-10-04T23:54:35Z

Great job!

Light footsteps after the rain by Chocolat-Endive 2020-10-06T21:48:18Z

Nice aesthetic, but would have liked to see more 'game' in this game. The atmosphere and audio is nice, but there is nothing to make me invested in exploring or caring about the game world.

Robetrotter by Tyrael 2020-10-05T00:15:39Z

Great game, and awesome art! Controls felt a little too floaty, might have preferred a quicker snappier return to the ground when you let go of jump so you are not penalized so much from jumping high.

Terror of the Lazy River by Birdwards 2020-10-05T00:33:58Z

Fantastic game! cool use of theme, and nice complete experience. Would be nice if collisions & missiles spawning was a little more forgiving somehow.

LoopChan by Kaish 2020-10-06T23:53:44Z

Cool idea and fun game! Would have liked to see the beat concept more clearly defined. The jumps being automatic, and the moving being optional, but still tied to the music, did not really make sense to me. It felt kind of arbitrary as I was expecting everything to be tied to the beat in the same way.

TimeBot by Mightymaster99 2020-10-26T21:37:48Z

Cool game! Idea is interesting, but the core platforming mechanics definitely need more polish. You can get stuck in walls by moving towards them. Platforming seems like a simple genre to use as a base, but there is a ton of work required to get it polished and nice. If there is sluggish controls or movement, that will get in the way of enjoying the other ideas you added on. Additionally, I think you should work to create puzzles that use the mechanics of duplicating yourself in new ways. The first couple all relied on building a bridge or building a ladder. Even a well polished version with a fun puzzle will need variation on the mechanics to maintain interest. This has to come from new applications of the mechanic or more mechanics. Great work!

LoopBerries by sekol 2020-10-26T22:55:05Z

Cool game! Would have preferred to see more time on a single mechanic rather than 2/3 that do not get developed passed their initial function. I think this could have been a more focused and interesting game if it was either a berry-based puzzle game, or a running around in radiation with zombies game. Well done!

Through Cosmos by Hadryel 2020-10-05T00:01:54Z

Great game! It was fun to figure out how to drill for some wood.

City Loop by Quackqack 2020-10-13T17:44:43Z

Really cool game! I like the concept, but it seems like there are too many connections to check and the trains move to fast for me to really feel in control. It seems overwhelming almost immediately, and I would prefer a slower pace that maybe had less room for error, rather than super fast and missing a turn has a small chance of causing a collision. With more time to work ion this, I would love to see a version where the map expands organically similar to [mini-metro](https://dinopoloclub.com/games/mini-metro/). That game does a really good job at ramping difficulty up that I think could work similarly here. Great job, I had fun playing this game.

Threaded Loop by Guillem Serra 2020-10-05T01:44:45Z

Great game! art is excellent. Would like to see puzzle design that is harder to solve via trial and error. Overall great game!

Orbit by Johan Alexandersson 2020-10-06T23:18:53Z

Great game! nice addition to the classic gameplay.

WhileLoops by Ausstein 2020-10-05T15:30:41Z

Fantastic game! Would have liked to see smaller quantities to reach, like (x < 100) for the first one? Seems like the best part of this game is the writing and humor, and waiting for random boxes to appear just delays that. Would really like to see this expanded on so that the player has more agency and there is more 'doing' vs waiting. Well done!

reallyFinalyVersion7 is the best joke of the jam. Really hits home.

LÖÖPS by Tamail 2020-10-06T22:39:52Z

Really good game! You achieved you goal of humor. Would have liked to see the 'clicker' aspect of the cookie-clicker genre preserved, so there was something to do while waiting for more money. Well done.

Stuck Machines by Fractal 2020-10-26T22:58:49Z

Cool game! would like to see more visual information about what is happening when I change rooms. Was not able to see any pattern, and puzzle solving came entirely from trial and error. Great art, well done.

The Hand That Feeds by neonjeff 2020-10-05T16:29:18Z

Cool game! Would like to see the looping theme add to the gameplay. Something that _feels_ like and endless loop could be fun, if there was a way to actually break out of it. A literal endless loop puts all the pressure on the primary gameplay loop, which in this case does not offer any decisions or trade-offs for the player to make. I would like to see more work on this! and maybe some concept of meeting all the needs in the right order or fast enough to end the loop. well done and art is very nice!

Hamster Simulator by snowinn 2020-10-06T22:04:45Z

Cute hamster! Did not find there was any gameplay hook to make me want to keep playing. Animation on the hamster was weirdly slow? for a game about trying to go "as fast as you can". Would like to see all the metrics displayed as part of the gameplay, something about the hamster and the wheel to show how fast is is spinning or accelerating could have gone a long way. Great job!

Hamster Simulator by snowinn 2020-10-06T22:21:49Z

@snowinn yes it speeds up, but would have liked some visual effects/feedback rather than numbers. It is also not possible to look at the hamster and the numbers at the same time. In games like sonic where going fast is the goal, you can see the legs blur, sounds change, particles, etc.

Hamsters in a Mech by Jake Crabtree 2020-10-26T19:50:47Z

Great game! This is a really cool idea, with really nice art and visuals. I think this game suffers from a lack of control, which is really important for a Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime style game of micromanaging a vehicle. The momentum of the wheels that keep the gun/shield moving past where you want them combined with the relatively tiny ship visuals make it very hard to be precise. Compared the LiaDS, the ship takes up a small fraction of the screen and is no easy to quickly click on. I would prefer to see separate hamsters for each direction maybe, or a brake system to stop moving parts immediately. This would be a super cool 'world' to explore and I would love to see a more polished version with more added on.

Time Prison by ToC 2020-10-06T23:46:52Z

Cool game! Would have liked to se you fully commit to a time based penalty, and not have to restart the level too. Platforming mechanics were not tight enough to keep me interested in seeing all the powers. Would like to see a really polished single level than just more content that not everyone might see.

Don't Shoot Yourself by Maxwell3000 2020-10-05T14:52:17Z

Great game! Art and music were fantastic. Would like to see more 'juice' added, it is hard to keep track of a health bar while looking at the player ship when there is no feedback given when you are hit. Additionally, the screen-wrap/loop mechanic does not seem necessary, at lest in the first 2 levels. I would have preferred to see a single polished level making use of the loop mechanic than additional content that seems almost identical. Well done!

Portal Pete: The night-time Sheep by Kazatan 2020-10-05T16:51:27Z

Nice game! very cool graphics and I like the concept. I don't like the inconsistent win conditions, and it seems to lead to trial and error problem solving since I didn't know what I was even trying to do. Would like to see more time spent on this! really good job.

Tank Fall by PetTurtle 2020-10-05T01:18:52Z

Great game! would like to the the looping tied into gameplay, and have some gameplay reason to go around the track. really fun.

Caught in the music loop by merkisoft 2020-10-05T14:44:15Z

Cool game! Could use more instructions on controls and what to do on your submission page.

Loopertary by BinaryPrinciple 2020-10-26T22:47:11Z

Cool game! visuals are nice, but found it unintuitive to have a hex grid of movement, but shooting along the cardinal directions and moving with only 4 inputs. Also found the mix of real time and pseudo-turn based/on a timer enemy movement a strange combination. Would also like to see more visual feedback for shooting, the bullets were so small I could barely see them.

Plane Loop by TORT60091 2020-10-05T00:03:57Z

I like the idea!

Lamps by Dimini Inc. 2020-10-26T21:06:40Z

Cool game! I like the concept, but this game needs more visual feedback to what is happening. The UI is hidden by gameplay elements that are the same color, some pieces would not rotate? and I did not see any indication of the 'power' going along a line. I like the 'open' level spin on a water-pipe game, but think you need to nail down the basics of what makes other games of this genre good and then focus on differentiating and polishing your own twist. Great job!

Loop Stuck by Kirby 2020-10-26T22:37:08Z

Cool game! Would have preferred to see a single level demonstrating the most interesting puzzle you had, but with more polished platforming. Floaty movement and lack of visual indication of hazard movement prevented me from enjoying the puzzles

Orbit by ZEN 2020-10-06T21:40:18Z

Great game! Would like to see more going on while circling the planet. There was not a lot of challenge once you were in the right orbit and then all there was to do was wait. I would also prefer to at least have an option for controls that allowed me to go up or down. Great job!

Crystal Curse by LouieJams 2020-10-06T21:48:39Z

Would like to see a WebGL version!

Infinite Pinball by Nick Barrash 2020-10-05T04:10:04Z

Great game! I really like the idea of creating music as a function of gameplay, my submission has a similar mechanic. I wish the layout of the table was more conducive to hitting lots of different things, so that hearing cool sounds was easier and more frequent.

CryoCrunch! by David Bohan 2020-10-05T15:44:40Z

Great job! Interesting idea on looping, but it seems like the puzzle solving just involves guess and check? Would like to see the player have more to do as the robot is going through the level. Maybe if you can make a limited number of recordings and then must use just those w/ button presses to clear the level? Usually a large delay between the time a player solves the puzzle in their head until the time they can actually solve it in the game adds frustration. Really cool art, and am interested to see what this could become with more time!

Untiled Runner Game by WatermelonAndMe 2020-10-06T22:08:10Z

Cool game! Art, especially the background, was really nice. The main character sprite stands out visually, from the background, but felt the obstacles did not and it was harder to pay attention to what was coming. The grey saws and grey spikes do not stand out visually, especially when the trees are super high contrast and colorful. Would recommend adjusting saturation and colors so that the focus is on the foreground. Jumping was also a little to floaty for my preferences. Great job!

Domain of the Time Wizard by BookerBlueJay 2020-10-05T16:53:07Z

You should upload a thumbnail for your submission!

Time Warriors by timeloopedpowergamer 2020-10-05T01:31:33Z

I like the Idea! Seems like a good concept to build on post LD. Would like to see cards animation in/out and when moving to get a better understanding of what is happening.

Infinite Rainbow Tower Smash! by madbookstudios 2020-10-05T04:16:08Z

Great game! I like the colors, they provide a good way to motivate player goals in the context of gameplay. I think it would be better if you could change the text to always be oriented upright, some things I missed because the tutorial was sideways.

Commute by puntocom 2020-10-06T23:35:04Z

Really cool game, and one of 2 text games I was compelled to keep playing. Some critique. I think the general premise of conveying 'stuck in a loop' is misguided here. This game portrays the in game character as stuck in a loop, and breaking out of it. But me the player, is stuck in a loop still not able to make any choices. I have no reason to want to wear a particular shirt, or chose coffee over tea. On the first few screens I was already thinking "I don't want the coffee, let me get the tea" and felt a conflict between how the game was telling me to feel and how I really felt. I think this theme could be conveyed better if you build a game that offers some trade-off to the player, letting them choose to continue a routine. If the player is the one who choses to do the same thing repeatedly, and then you offer a clever opportunity to change things up, I think the feeling of getting out of the loop would really work. Also, reading "da" and "poty" felt really out of place here and did not fit the rest of the writing.

Overall I really liked this, and felt like giving more feedback than normal because you are clearly capable of making really polished and cool experiences. Would love to see more.

Color Loop by bubbadubc 2020-10-06T02:20:00Z

Great game! I would like to see the ball movement less discrete. I think if was continuously moving in and out, I feel like it would be more interesting and there would be less dead time just waiting for the ball to move. The pace can suffer if the ball is randomly placed at the right color, which happened multiple times in a row. Well done!

LoopOS by Rustywolf 2020-10-05T16:32:43Z

Cool game! I would like to see more direction provided to the player on how to go about fixing things. I do a lot of debugging in terminals for work and this felt a little too similar to work for me to be hooked. Also, using standard linux commands where possible (or offering multiple commands per action) might make it easier to get into for people with terminal experience and not any harder for anyone else. Learning syntax is hard! Impressive game for such a short jam.

Evo Battle by Arthur Silva 2020-10-26T20:05:33Z

Great game, fantastic visuals that are some of the best I have seen. Based on the screen shots, and initial gameplay, I set my expectations really high with this game. I imagined I would be developing the planet and gaining new weapons or defenses, and that the new projectiles coming might offer new gameplay challenges. Unfortunately it does not seem that any of these were met. This game looks polished on any given screenshot, but the primary gameplay loop is lacking in any variation throughout the game. The ship rotation around the planet is delayed (although the pointing direction is not, which makes it seem unintentional sluggishness). There is no visual feedback on successful hits on asteroids, making it much harder to shoot the correct number of shots and then move to another target, since you don't know how close anything is to being destroyed. On the secondary loop of evolving the planet, there does not seem to be any stakes that are conveyed to the player. There is no reward for getting to a new era, it takes a really long time for gameplay that is so repetitive, and it also takes a long time to lose. I stopped playing after the meso era and it took forever for my planet to be destroyed. This game does not offer any opportunity for strategy to the player because of the lack of variety of primary mechanics. The tone, art, and visuals here are so good, I would definitely play another version of this that has more content and technical polish. If you can make this game into what the screenshots make you hope it is, this could be a fantastic experience. Well done!

It Is A Loop by Aarimous 2020-10-05T16:44:22Z

Cool game! The looping idea is nice, but does not ever seem to build to anything more interesting/challenging. Would like to see some challenge or decision offered to the player to make, like making more loops that mirror the player thing, but all have different target things to get.

Loopy Shooty by JaTDev 2020-10-06T23:22:45Z

Cool game. Would have preferred to see the first level more polished rather than additional levels. Wish the bullets came out of the gun, since it is distracting visually and might add more interesting gameplay situations where you can hide most of your body but still shoot. Visual feedback in general was missing. Being killed by a cactus I did not like.

Don't Stress that Beat! by JoskerDu 2020-10-05T15:37:17Z

Cool game! I would have liked some on screen indication of what key to press, I had to keep tabbing back to the LD page to check.

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-05T05:00:33Z

@tulipekoni Thanks! I almost didn't add that. My experience is showing me that a game balanced by me is always way too hard. Glad I had time for that.

@superunknown Great idea! I had thought of that, but concluded that it may mess up the nice feeling of just the beat playing after trying some other ideas that made the gameplay worse. I should try it out and see how it goes!

@smilewood Thanks! See first reply^ about difficulty, glad someone is enjoying it! Also, I did have a framerate-update issue that may have made the spotlight look like it was highlighting the center, rather than fading away super fast. I made a fix for that, and hopefully now it works as intended.

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-05T14:30:28Z

@frogman Good suggestion, I will add that. Thanks!

@masaru I considered getting points or going for time once you complete the track, but decided against it since I assumed people would only be playing for a minute or two. I added a faster speed option for anyone who wants more "winning" than the default. Thanks!

@kazatan Thanks for the feedback! It would be cool to adjust bullet size and other stuff as a part of the difficulty selection.

@aterlamia Sorry to hear that! There actually are key binds present for arrow keys, I just forgot to mention that anywhere. I am updating my LD and itch page to make it clear. Thanks for the feedback!

@meek-bits That is an interesting idea that could definitely be fun. I don't know how that would work in a bullet-hell vs a grid based game, but would be interesting to explore more way to tie the music into the gameplay. Thanks for the feedback!

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-06T01:16:02Z

@barelyevengames That is the end! the only win condition is getting to hear the music, and you definitely want to avoid the missile launcher!

@karl-erik-saks Can you elaborate on that suggestion? You are bound to using 4 directional keys, but can move on diagonals as well. The input is restricted, but not the actual movement if that makes sense.

@gale-swift I have hear that a lot! I chose to leave the win condition open, and let the player just go as long as they felt. Maybe I will add more than that after the jam.

@milestone-games You reached the end! the HEY is the 4th and final layer of the track, and after that the only goal is to survive and enjoy the music.

@remzo Sorry about that! Any suggestion on how to make it more clear?

@sirred I tried to focus on just making the single level as well as I could, and left it without a hard ending to let players go as long as they were having fun. Will definitely look into adding more to this and making that more clear.

@indiedevdan Did you try turning the BPM down in the pause menu?

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-06T14:16:23Z

@bubbadubc That was my intention! The losing and wining is solely determined by how much music is playing. Thanks for the feedback.

@rein Did not even consider that, good idea and thanks for the feedback!

@dezom See above^. Definitely something I'll need to add.

@danae Can you elaborate on what was confusing? Did you read the description?

@tyrael What do you mean by "snappier"? There have been many suggestions for mouse controls, but do you mean come change to the keyboard controls?

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-06T15:38:59Z

@vivien-fargette Follow my itch.io page and I will be sure to do all of that after the jam!

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-07T13:51:17Z

@steventus Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. I do not play many/any bullet hells, so I am apparently out of the loop for what control options people like to see. Mouse controls and a slow option are great ideas that I will try and add in post jam.

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-08T15:28:59Z

@forgeronstudio Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. Any delay in movement is not intended here, and is probably a result of either performance or code that executes differently on different hardware. I already fixed on bug related to framerate dependent code, and it is entirely possible there are more. I am developing on high-refresh rate monitor and big graphics card, so any problems of that kind end up invisible to me, and hugely problematic to lower end computers. Working now to get native app builds and fix any performance I can.

DIMENSION LOOP by Danial Jumagaliyev 2020-10-05T00:28:17Z

Lol that 'good graphics' is turning HDR on. Great game, funny, really liked it. Stopped before I died, but might be better to avoid a running out of lives situation in a game that would have far less appeal if someone had to restart completely.

Orbital Hostage by Meek Bits 2020-10-05T16:47:41Z

Really cool game, surprisingly fun for a static shooting game. Also like the art a lot. I think it would be more interesting if the player's actions interacted with the orbiting ship, like maybe it floats toward the gun and you have to try and move it out of the way to shoot again. With the orbit as is, it seems like the reason for losing is highly impacted by change, which is frustrating since there is no way for a player to overcome chance. well done!

Car Looper by Snotax 2020-10-26T21:53:54Z

Cool game! I think this game could use with a lot of QoL changes. Being able to 'paint' the road tiles rather than click individually would be really great. It would also be nice to have more objectives. If you look at how popular bridge building games work, both from a UI/UX perspective and a gameplay goal perspective, I think most of those concepts would directly translate. It is important to give the player easy to use tools, to that the time between them having an idea, and them testing the idea is as short as possible. The challenge should be in thinking of a solution, not clicking on tiles correctly. Well done!

Loopii Poopy by LAndyPommel 2020-10-26T20:08:18Z

Web version did not load for me! would really like to play

The final loop by IndieQuest 2020-10-05T15:16:08Z

Great game! would have liked to see more consequences related to the looping idea. Seems basically the same as a TD game with 2 paths to the base? maybe some reason to rearrange the turrets. Really interested to see this expanded on. Goof job!

Stuck in a Loo by Xenon27 2020-10-05T04:18:29Z

Cool game! Graphics are nice, and it is a good complete feeling experience. Nice to see something super wacky and weird!

Would love to see a WebGL version!

- by SeansHome 2020-10-26T20:56:35Z

This was a really cool game. Sounds and visuals were really nice to create a focused experience. Although it was interesting, this concept seems like it might have been better served by thinking of it as a movie. As a game, there is no explanation to why this dude keeps doing the same thing every day. there is also no opportunity for the player to decide differently, they are just along for the ride. A game could expand on examining why someone would make these choices, but it seems like you were not going for that. So as a story of maintaining hope, I think this is missing the context to explain why someone else would act this way. As an observer of a character, rather than experiencing something as the protagonist, there needs to be something to contribute empathy towards the character so we understand the motivations and want them to succeed. My largest concern is that it seems like the moral of the story is wait and do nothing, and things will get better? I think this is a pretty dangerous way to look at things. If someone was unhappy with their life, repeating the same day for 3 months in a row is not a reliable plan to break out of the cycle, although it is possible like in this game. Very impressed by this game, and really great job delivering an emotional experience, even though I do not think it full landed on the message you might have intended.

Ouroboros by Vippe 2020-10-26T19:45:46Z

Great game! I really like the idea of a shrinking arena. My main critique would be that the primary loop starts off way to slow. Player movement speed, bullet speed, fire rate, etc. all felt super slow. Additionally, the upgrades were not significant enough for me to really care or notice them. They mostly felt like a small percentage improvement? Id rather choose between 2X fire rate or 2X damage, and then be able to change my strategy. Getting 5% improvement for anything is not enough to offer an interesting decision since it will almost certainly not impact the players strategy. I would suggest polishing the primary loops, just walking and shooting with no upgrades before adding in anything else. Although the snake is cool, I think a game with a better core and no looping-twist would be more fun. Great work!

NeonLoop by aDaxxas 2020-10-06T01:31:09Z

Cool game! Art style is great. Would like to have had more feedback when hitting the blocks, and some indication of where 'the line' was between hitting the blocks for a drill points vs getting damaged. well done.

Hudson by Dharby 2020-10-05T14:40:44Z

Would love to see a WebGL version!

Hudson by Dharby 2020-10-05T14:56:08Z

@dharby ah I have had the same problem. Maybe you already have found via googling, but there can be issues if you use Mp3 audio files rather than wav or ogg or something. Might be worth a try to change the format if possible. Good luck!

Hudson by Dharby 2020-10-05T15:10:04Z

@dharby no problem! @ me if you get it to work so I can give it a play.

Hudson by Dharby 2020-10-06T21:54:10Z

Cool game! Glad I got to hear the audio. In like the idea of hud being the target, but since the enemies only attack your health bar, and the bar goes down normally, it does not seem to add anything to the gameplay. It may actually take away since if the monsters are attacking you there would be more skill required to attack while dodging, but the health bar can only be defended by offence. Would have liked to see ( and was expecting from description) all the HUD to be attacked, and have each mechanic be destroyed when it was destroyed visually. Also, would have preferred to see HUD damage like it was a structure, like in a Breakout style game where bits are being chipped off. This was a fun game, and great job.

Hudson by Dharby 2020-10-06T22:12:56Z

@dharby hope to see some of that added post jam!

Bjorn to Dance by Tomh 2020-10-06T22:36:14Z

Cool game, really nice art. Interesting you make a joke about how in dance, being stuck in a loop is a bad thing, but in the game it is a good thing. This does not seem to hold true in the gameplay since it is a standard memorization game, and the 'practice' you do is just a different level than the competition. Would have liked to see the gameplay design reflect your idea on the loop being a good thing. Maybe the competition could have been the same patterns but without prompts, or something else besides a level with different art. I liked this game for what the gameplay offered, but would have liked to see more time spent on gameplay design rather than art and writing, since the gameplay is what everything must support imo.

Binary Loop by Spiderhead20 2020-10-05T01:41:03Z

Cool game. Would have liked more time spent on the tuning of the platforming rather than content volume. The jumping/collisions seems to be very finicky and even with the looping mechanic, the primary gameplay is the platforming.

Infinite Collapse by explodingcamera 2020-10-06T23:09:06Z

Cool game! would have preferred to see one really cool level with more polished platforming mechanics. Seems a little broken when you go through the teleporter while holding a direction? it makes you slower instead of even faster. Seems like something that could be caused by setting a movement speed and maybe overriding the speed from gravity/portals.

GHOST FROM JAIL by Gilad Bar Ilan 2020-10-05T15:25:52Z

Good game! I noticed you said that "it's all based on your luck" as a point to why the game is interesting. I think in this case the randomness takes away from the fun. Especially the teleport. Typically it is frustrating to lose because of random chance, and fun to be challenged by a test of skill. Using the teleport and instantly being killed does not seem like it would ever be a good strategy, since you can die even if there is one ghost far away from you. I would like to see the teleport mechanic give the player a trade-off that they would want to try, and could be worth doing. On idea is restricting the fireball for a bit after teleporting. This would reduce the randomness and offer a choice to shoot your way out or resort to being defenseless and running.

Would also recommend removing or moving all the background info you have in the description. I think most people are just interested in playing the game and are not interested in reading a ton before they play a game for 1-2 minutes. Using Markdown formatting to add heading etc. would also be helpful. The how to play should be front and center.

Great job!

Dryad's Quest by Cyborg Studio 2020-10-05T00:19:17Z

Awesome art and sounds. Would love to see this expanded upon!

Debug.Loop! by Gironimo4 2020-10-05T16:56:02Z

Cool game! Would have liked some instructions (that were not scrolling too fast to see) and transitions when the loop turns. I have no clue what turning did, and an instant transition is pretty disorienting.

That Dream Again by Bokonon 2020-10-06T23:43:17Z

Great game! I like the idea of a metroid-vania type gadget unlocking platformer, but it was too hard to build a mental map of the level to have any coherent plan on where to go next. Art is beautiful. Would suggest adding arrow key binds in addition to WASD, why not?

Press The Button by Steventus 2020-10-07T13:57:41Z

Fun game! Graphics are nice, and the tv sound effect is really satisfying as part of the main loop. The text from the robot started to display vertically and I was unable to read it, assuming that is not intentional? Would like to see the main loop allow you to go faster in terms of the animation/time until you can click again. I find that idle games are best when you are constantly doing _something_, even if you are not accomplishing anything really. Waiting for the arm to move game me too much time to reconsider how much I wanted to keep going. Well done!

Outside The Loop by Peace Of Cake Games 2020-10-26T21:17:37Z

Great game! concept seems cool, but I was unable to understand what do do right from the start. The green loop is a platform, and the red takes you back to the start? The blocks with loops did not offer me any interaction and it did not seem like there was anything left to try. You requested ideas for 'upgrades', but I am not sure what you meant by that. If you mean powers like the green loop, then maybe lops that are portals, bouncy, one that moves? Regardless of that, I think the core gameplay needs to be properly explained and polished before additional features are added. I might have had a different experience if the puzzle solution was more clear, but for a game I can only play for a few minutes there was not enough explanation for me. Hope to see you build on this!

StopTheCar BreakTheLoop by MattLive 2020-10-04T23:57:04Z

This was great! I would love to see more time spent on the interactions with the movable objects (launching the car up with obstacles or adding other cars that drive)

Gravity Loop by Jacob Bernard 2020-10-05T04:22:15Z

I made the exact same mistake when publishing my game! Graphics were very cool, love the style and idea. Maybe a restriction of Pico-8, but I think this game would be a lot better with mouse controls. Manipulating power and angles in a game is necessarily trial and error, and that ends up being a lot of key presses.

Koinax Loop by dreamscale 2020-10-05T00:06:25Z

Fun game!

Disco Loop by DotSquare 2020-10-06T22:24:42Z

cool game! dancing animation is great. Found the timing a little too unforgiving, especially on the first level with no practice/tutorial. Would like to see this mechanic applied somehow so it functions beyond a complicated level timer. Great work!

Space Drummer by Guilloteam 2020-10-26T21:02:01Z

Cool game! I like the idea here, but think that the order of play is backwards. I think creating a ship/beat and then starting to play the game suffers from a similar problem of playing and RPG and choosing a character/race before ever understanding the mechanics affected by said character/race. I think you should open the game to a short intro level, get the player familiar with at least a subset of the sounds/weapons, and then let them choose how they want their ship to be after understanding the context of those choices.

Space Beans by Isac 2020-10-06T22:59:06Z

Really cool game. Much more interesting take on 'circle around the planet and shot things' than anything else I have seen here. Art and sound are well done. Looks like you might have your pointer offset configured incorrectly? I know in unity it defaults to the upper left of the cursor texture, and it seems like that is where the bullets go in your game rather than the center of the reticle.

Loop Deleter by Zachary Barbanell 2020-10-05T04:06:29Z

Cool game! Would be nice for it to not auto full-screen, the text was so big I had to move away from my monitor to read it. Cool concept, and I'd love to see if expanded upon.

Loop Roller by Daithi 2020-10-05T01:37:16Z

Great game! I would like to see some mechanic to limit how often you can try and pause. as is, spamming space bar seems to be the best strategy. Simple color scheme and art is really nice!

SORO BORO by nethead 2020-10-05T04:12:38Z

Collateral Damage by Michael Parrish 2020-10-05T04:02:32Z

Cool game! I really like the idea of rotating around the earth and always aiming towards it, but don't feel like being locked on a track adds to the gameplay. There may be more interesting gameplay situations if you remove more restrictions that do not serve the main idea. Also, a mute button would be very appreciated.

Strange Planet by tengusheath 2020-10-05T03:59:31Z

Really great game! Art is the best I have seen in this LD. Would be well served with some more player feedback for the primary loop, more bass to sound FX, camera shake, kickback from shooting etc. Very impressive!

iLoop - the 2D endless runner game of a robot stuck in a loop :) by melvinng 2020-10-06T22:17:20Z

Cool game! I would have liked to see the background/foreground saturation be balanced. It is much harder to focus on enemies and food when there are super colorful detailed background elements everywhere. Also would have liked some better feedback on when you get hit. Well done!

Plague Friend's Deathly Journey by sakura_magika 2020-10-27T01:24:22Z

Great game! Art style was cool, and impressive execution of dialogue and 'quest' objectives. I played only the jam version BTW. You asked about how fun I thought this was, and I would it was fun enough to draw me in, but did not introduce any hook before I lost interest. The exposition for what the player is supposed to do is literally "lets get to it then". The description says you are 'stuck' in a loop, but where is that shown? why is that a problem? Maybe that is explained later, but for a jam game I am personally looking for a hook within seconds of playing. I have no expectations for what this game is, so I need them to be set and for the game to create interest quickly. The initial tasks just require walking back and forth and some reading, and the gameplay did not turn into anything beyond that. I would like to see this game open with an inciting incident, and follow a traditional plot arc more. If you set my expectation, provide some urgency, raise some questions, then I will be motivated to answer those questions and discover what the story is. This would also be aided by tasks that are more complex. It seems like this may be difficult since your game is basically 1D, only moving left and right, so physically going to different places to explore may not work as most games like this do. Well done, hope to see more added to this!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Fishery by recursor 2021-04-28T14:42:38Z

Cool game! I like the concept of a platforming fishing game. I think this could benefit a lot from simpler controls. Maybe if the rod just faced the direction of movement, or you used mouse for moving and reeling in. There was a lot to remember all at once when starting that could have probably been condensed. Well done!

Deep in Wraithwood Forest by HitchH1k3r 2021-04-28T17:16:17Z

The Deepest Threat by Goutye 2021-04-26T15:29:55Z

Cool game, visuals are very nice. I would like to see the player have a more active role in the gameplay, and for more information/decisions be available to make interesting choices per encounter. I had no way to know what item would be better or worse going forward. Maybe if you saw the next few ahead, you could plan for it. Well done.

Orbdig by 5Mixer 2021-04-26T20:09:05Z

Really interesting idea. I think it would be very cool to see the mining mechanic linked with the movement. It was more fun for me to fly around than it was to hold down the mouse to laser something. I wanted to ram into the ore to mine it etc. Great job.

EARTHWYRM by HolyBlackCat 2021-04-26T20:48:26Z

Really cool new idea here. I like the combination of snake game and puzzle. Would like to see tutorial or simple one action required level.

Project Orpheo by zondarg 2021-04-26T03:14:30Z

Cool game! Would have liked to see the background or some visuals indicate this was a volcano rather than a underwater cave or something. Art style is really cool.

Treehouse Party by stuffedgravy 2021-04-28T14:37:07Z

Cool game, and I like the aesthetic. I think the core mechanics here are a little difficult, and the challenge came from loose platforming rather than challenging level design. The last item with a small jump to clear was super hard just because the collisions were so unforgiving. Would love to see more developed mechanics in this really cool looking world/setting.

Scriptless Pipes by Turkey 2021-04-26T03:56:36Z

Awesome idea. Really nice that you made this fun, lots of 'figure out path to bottom' games are just guess and check but this seems to avoid that feeling. well done.

Treasure Diver by kleinzach 2021-05-17T21:22:40Z

Cool game. Would like to see the pace increase, faster movement with less drift. Visuals, especially the boat/surface, are really nice.

Darkest Depths by skipi 2021-04-28T17:37:14Z

Cool game. I was able to just walk past all the enemies, so maybe they need to be stronger or more dangerous? Also recommend binding things like interact to multiple keys (E, Space, Enter, etc.) so people just figuring it out without instructions can play easier. Since you don't have many controls, it should be easy.

Embark by Pseudohausen 2021-04-26T15:38:40Z

I was unable to install your game using the itch desktop app. It looks like you have a zip instead of a typical build folder. Itch has a tool called butler that you can use to automatically publish builds and they will work from the desktop app. Reply if you are able to publish a non-zip build and I will play.

The Pit by ehtd 2021-04-28T14:12:31Z

Really cool game. I think this benefits a lot from the low res style, as it keeps the spiders harder to see and more mysterious. Would have liked to see some visual feedback for shooting, since it is hard to figure out the controls without reading controls. well done.

Ludophile by Jack Lance 2021-04-26T16:01:03Z

Nuclear blaze by deepnight 2021-04-26T21:16:24Z

Punch my Dig! by nervous-composers 2021-05-03T22:25:45Z

Cool game. I like the concept of punching instead of just drilling. I would like to see other ways you can use that same idea to add other mechanics. It is visually unique, but mechanically still very similar to many other games. Well done.

Boombox by auxC 2021-04-28T16:44:12Z

The Descent by iovorobiev 2021-04-26T20:13:53Z

Good game! I would have liked to start off with an easier level to just get an understanding of all the mechanics. I would have also liked to see some mechanical integration of the theme, rather than just a wrapper for what each level is. Maybe an endless puzzle that goes down and you have to see how far you can make a connected path of tiles or something like that. This is mechanically the same to the number puzzle. Visuals/setting were cool, and well done.

Far Gone by TomBuston 2021-04-27T02:56:51Z

This shader is sweet. It is much more interesting to walk towards something from far away when it shows up as a few dithered chunks instead of just a smaller 3d model.

Deep Voice by mdotedot 2021-04-26T19:30:23Z

I don't have a mic for my desktop computer, so I cannot play. Would like an alternative mode where you could just use mouse movement or something so I could still see the content. Can't rate, but well done!

Upset Crab by 43sam 2021-04-26T19:28:12Z

Really cool game. Art is amazing. I would have liked tighter movement/combat feel, but for a short jam this is great. Would like to see more work on this.

Mrs. ScubaMan by Shaolin Dave 2021-04-28T14:39:22Z

Really cool game. The bow on the player character was a nice touch.

Fetal Fury by Squidly 2021-04-28T17:21:47Z

Really cool game. Visuals are fantastic.

Lonely Journey by blockerz 2021-04-26T16:32:48Z

Cool mood and visuals. It was unclear to me what velocity I needed to sleep.

Deeper and Deeper by MagonX 2021-04-27T02:03:23Z

Cool game. I had some issues with the camera and it was difficult to see what was happening.

Doug Tudeap in: The Ore Gone Trail by dr-dos 2021-04-26T16:42:05Z

The visuals of ZZT are interesting here, but incredibly hard to use. I would have liked to see you bring the retro visuals to a more modern interface using traditional UI design and fewer complex menus.

Astronomical Assault by Anuke 2021-04-26T15:21:49Z

Really cool game. Visuals are fantastic and cohesive. Did you use a specific palette for this? I would have liked some audio and/or visual feedback on hitting the enemy. I also felt underpowered, and it seemed like the best strategy was to focus on avoiding the enemy rather than trying to kill them. Well done.

Krakonsequence by JudgeZedd 2021-04-28T16:24:16Z

Really cool game. I like the many-tentacles mechanic, looks and feels fun.

Oiligarch by dxk2294 2021-04-28T16:52:45Z

Really impressive and cool game for a compo. Well done.

SPEKS - A Murder Mystery by Swordfish 2021-04-26T04:32:37Z

Text and beeping was way to slow/frequent. I would prefer to be able to get to the core of jam entries as fast as possible, so I would like to read at my own speed. Cool visuals.

Deep Humor Dungeon by AddNone 2021-04-27T02:29:22Z

Cool art. I like having a small party of characters.

Stairwell by GiovanniBarrottu 2021-04-26T05:03:41Z

Nice visuals. Interface felt very hard to use. Would like one button (UI or keyboard) to attack.

Challenge Tunnel by barret907k 2021-04-26T03:48:44Z

Cool idea, but you have not provided any way to 'solve' this challenge. The only method is guess and check as far as I can tell. Would like to see an additional mechanic that allows for proactive solving.

Strange Platinum by Poorwill 2021-05-03T22:15:32Z

Cool game. I like that tile placing mechanic combined with entities you do not directly control. The biggest thing I would like to see if visual feedback and information on what different things do / are doing. Ore collection and "combat" was unclear to me and things just seemed to float around and be ok. What is the in game reason for needing ore? or saving the blue things?

Dig Dig Dig by Chirichirichiri 2021-04-26T20:20:24Z

Music is best I have heard this jam. Really nice presentation.

Go Deeper by Jeffez 2021-04-28T14:55:01Z

Cool game. Congrats on finishing your first game!

Alien Dig Invasion by Rawrasaur 2021-05-08T15:27:52Z

Cool game. I would recommend making resource requirements much lower so that people playing can quickly experience your content. The core mechanics are not developed far enough to make it for me to collect 40 resources before any new mechanic is added. Cool game.

Cut Deeper by Filipe Leal 2021-04-26T03:26:57Z

This is a really cool game. I got a real sense of stakes seeing something eek closer to the inside of my body. Great work.

Free Fall by timon 2021-05-08T15:24:10Z

Cool game. Fun mechanics and well done complete experience for a jam.

Beneath by Rewzu 2021-04-26T03:50:19Z

Really fun. Animation of character is great. Would like to see points effects or something to show what breaking each type of block does.

Treasures of the Deep by Dreamer 2021-04-27T02:38:08Z

Really cool game. Solid mechanics for a short jam.

Asquid by Omid Ghavami 2021-05-03T22:21:14Z

Visuals were cool, but too abstract for me to intuitively figure out the puzzles. I completed levels just by trial and error. Sounds that played when moving things were a great touch. Well done.

LD48 - The Forest by pRoFiT 2021-04-28T17:02:03Z

Cool game! Ambitious project and I really like the intro scene.

Hole by MaximeGammaitoni 2021-05-08T13:47:13Z

Cool game. The biggest thing I would have liked to see was more forgiving collisions. Getting in the hole to the next level was tricky. Well done.

Magic Frontier by Firebelley 2021-04-27T02:57:35Z

Art style is really nice and the game is very polished feeling. well done.

Run Miner by henriquecanella 2021-05-03T22:12:16Z

This was a really fun game. I like the idea of a timed platforming challenge. I would like to see more mechanics involved with difficulty. Just basic running and jumping is quickly exhausted. I would also have preferred some indication that the pit you can fall down is non-lethal. It is common for that to be a trap in tis kind of game, and that was not communicated to the player,

The Deep by TheMoonrise 2021-04-27T02:26:38Z

Super impressive visuals and UI/UX. Very polished and nicely presented game. Really enjoyed it.

Dig Frenzy by Boon 2021-05-17T21:37:36Z

This is a super fun game, one of the most fun I have played in the jam. Simple concept is really engaging. Would love to see more mechanics added.

Drop n Grab by samguy 2021-04-26T22:20:29Z

Seems like there is an issue with the y position not being fixed. Cool game.

Exploring the depths by skelyvelocirap666 2021-04-28T14:48:04Z

Cool game. I would have liked for controls to be on the mouse only rather than left shift. Well done!

Chimes by Pohko 2021-04-26T21:32:08Z

Really nice looking. Impressive visuals and random generation for a short compo.

Deep into the mine by BubakGames 2021-04-26T19:16:34Z

This did not work when downloading through itch desktop app. Would like to see download fixed or web version.

Delevator by guladam 2021-04-28T00:46:36Z

Really cool art and great use of limited palette. Did you make the palette during the jam, or get is somewhere? Would love to see.

Penguins can't fly by Attala 2021-05-03T22:07:21Z

Cool game. I really like that the penguin spins around as he is hit. I would prefer if the player character was higher up on the screen, giving more time to react to oncoming obstacles. Screen rendered above the player does not really serve any purpose.

Asteroid Breaker by GibsS 2021-04-28T15:02:14Z

Really nice game. I like the soft visuals.

Ocean Is Your Friend by Abu Sabiq Mahdi 2021-04-26T04:20:18Z

Cool game and visuals. Not entirely sure how to find the target.

The Deep Web by William Corrin 2021-04-26T04:53:06Z

Great job! Would have liked air control over movement. Visuals are impressive.

Goldseeker by Budark 2021-04-27T02:54:01Z

Cool game! Character art is really great.

AQUATIC CAVE ASSAULT by Danial 2021-04-27T02:15:13Z

Really cool game. The lighting in the cave is fantastic looking. Great atmosphere.

You are Queen by BrettSchiff 2021-04-26T16:43:07Z

Please publish this to itch.io. Downloading files from google drive is sketchy. Check my feed for a guide on how to do this automatically and easily.

Billy's Gone Again by KingOfNova 2021-04-27T02:18:00Z

Visuals are really nice, and pistol sfx are very satisfying. Would love to see a full version.

How to Swim! by backurio 2021-04-29T21:14:22Z

Amazing game. Really cool. Awesome balance of challenge and fun.

A Sinking Feeling by rpgfaker 2021-04-27T02:31:45Z

Presentation and style are great. Really like the sub command system. It was too difficult for me, but I would like to see a post-ld version!

Drowning in debts by Drunk Wizard 2021-04-26T16:35:48Z

Really cool game. Visuals are very well done, and sound was good too. Thematically, I would have liked to see time pause when you are on land rather than saying the loan just stopped going down. This could add to the frantic feeling of this guy constantly going up and down rather than chilling on the surface. well done.

DigTD by JakNak72 2021-04-26T04:22:29Z

Cool idea! Would have like an indication of damage done to ants.

grGRIDid by John Gabriel 2021-04-26T21:23:42Z

Most visually impressive game. I just want to see this taken further. I would also like the animation / tile movement to be quicker. Really great job.

Rogue Elevator by Danga 2021-04-26T04:13:29Z

Really cool game, and impressive for a jam. Only critique I had would be an in game-world indication of depth. The ui shows levels I think? but you might as well just have enemies coming to the same spot. The depth mechanic here seems to be only integrated into the interface, not gameplay. Well done. Dash is really fun

Rusty goes Deep by etom 2021-05-04T00:25:01Z

Cool game. I think the mechanic here is interesting. I would prefer a system where the lights turning off was based on player actions. Currently, it feels unfair that everything goes completely black. It might be more rewarding to have lights stay on if you can get to the next checkpoint in time or something. Well done.

Quick Scrap by Vimlark 2021-05-17T21:19:40Z

Really cool game. Animation squeeze and other small visual touches really add to overall game-fell/juice. Would love to try out a version where all 4 directions had the burst mechanic like vertical movement does.

Dungeon Diver by Caue Henrique 2021-04-26T20:17:07Z

One of the more fun game I have played this jam. I really like the fireball mechanic. I think you need to explain that you can launch it mid-air, as I first though it was like golf and you had to wait to land to go again. Really cool movement mechanic, would like to see it expanded on.

L1-S0N by Beardmage 2021-04-28T14:17:52Z

Very great game. Visuals and presentation are perfect. I like how the menu scene and the health bar are in game elements. Fire was very pretty. I had issues figuring out where to go after getting the 3 symbols, and would have liked more direction on that.

Lord of Mine by JustusPan 2021-04-28T16:58:18Z

Graphics are really nice. I would have liked to see the mechanics integrated with the theme more, rather than just telling use we are getting deeper into a cave without any meaningful game impact from that.

Bus Crawl by Valid 2021-04-26T05:13:26Z

Very impressive technical achievement. Would have liked for the mechanics to be more focused on the theme. As a sandbox, a good strategy is to start in the deepest part of the city center. Maybe if you were forced to start at the edge, and build inward.

Snake on a Sphere by MachWerx 2021-04-26T03:23:59Z

This is a great game. Awesome transition between levels. Only critique is that it was unclear exactly how far you could turn, since you clipped partially into yourself whenever you turn. Great work.

Why do we fall? by Cem Adiloglu 2021-04-28T15:58:32Z

Cool game. I like the concept for the rope swinging mechanics.

Beautiful blob by Hestrateja 2021-04-26T05:08:07Z

Cool game and idea. I would like player to have some control over downward speed. I did not like waiting for the fish to slowly lower. I would like the focus to be on maneuvering rather than waiting.

6 Feet Under by theStoff 2021-04-28T16:49:27Z

Great game. Really fun and unique mechanic.

MineSystem by TheGamerASD 2021-04-27T02:05:51Z

Cool game. I would have liked to see some mechanical tie-in with the theme beyond the framing/scenery.

Ocelot Safari by pancelor 2021-04-26T19:51:00Z

Really cool game. I like the mechanic and art. I think I would have preferred fewer tools, as it was repetitive to constantly be switching. I would really like to see more puzzley elements added to this. Great work.

SUPER RED by neonjeff 2021-04-26T22:17:14Z

Cool game, I like the visual style of the worm.

The Bonekest Dungeon by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2021-05-03T22:59:06Z

Cool idea. I think this needs some UI solution to indicate easily where the monster is. Thinking about grid coordinates, especially on a 45 degree tilt, is a lot of cognitive load. I think I would enjoy this if it involved a broader view of things, and planning out a route, rather than making a lot of very complex individual choices. Well done.

Extreme Deep Sea Fishing! by Sbug 2021-04-26T15:17:05Z

Really great game. Visuals and polish are fantastic. Would love to see what else you would add here

20.000 LIGHT YEARS deep in THE SKY by Arivenzys 2021-04-27T21:16:37Z

Beautiful art here. Well done.

Bandit! by Fer9001 2021-05-01T02:14:19Z

Cool game, I like the art. Gameplay is fun and lots of potential to expand. Have you played deadbolt? This reminded me a lot of that. Would like to see you take this further, in a different direction than Deadbolt.

Death Cult by TentacleMax 2021-05-03T23:01:41Z

Cool game. I would love to see more done here!

An Eggsellent Escape by GoldenEvolution 2021-04-28T14:29:01Z

Really cool game, I think the concept of hiding from these robots. I would have preferred to see the gameplay stick with the first 'game type' and be more fleshed out. The narrative elements are nice, but I think it would be stronger if you developed one style of gameplay further rather than switching to similar but distinct game modes. Well done.

Deirdre & Pedro by Frogravity 2021-04-26T19:22:15Z

Cool game! I like the dual take on the mechanic.

Plunge by ZwodahS 2021-04-26T04:14:55Z

Nice game! Graphics are really nice. I had issues with bouncing up and off the top of the screen.

Associated Arguments by mathemagician 2021-04-28T14:50:54Z

The graphics are really nice. I like the binary palette and art.

Radication by squimmy 2021-04-26T19:21:02Z

Cool game! I liked the puzzle twist on a digging idea.

Mini Miners by PetTurtle 2021-04-26T04:30:36Z

Took a minute to figure out, but really cool! Was not expecting something as puzzley. Would have liked to see more UI indication of where they would dig, as they went past a shorter route than I drew.

Blue Cheese, Lunar Descent by clemonades 2021-05-03T22:29:23Z

Really cool concept. I like the idea of having to run around and manage the machines. Really great platforming mechanics for a jam (and in general).

River, Carry Me Away by Noire 2021-04-27T02:52:18Z

Great looking and sounding game. Would have preferred to get into the interactive part sooner. Well done.

Cave Golf by RoofloorWall 2021-04-26T04:34:52Z

Excellent game. Great concept and really nice looking. Small change to golf idea, but along with visuals it works very well. Interested to see how more/less fun it would be with an arc showing where it would land.

Elevator Ninja by Loig 2021-04-26T22:25:46Z

Cool game. I like the idea, but was confused why the platform is lowering. I would have liked to see a more mechanic-based integration with the theme. Well done.

Miningsweeper by Nick Barrash 2021-04-26T03:46:53Z

Fantastic idea. Really cool twist on minesweeper. Was happily surprised to see how much depth there was mechanically.

HYPERTUBE 3021 by Ben Taylor 2021-04-26T04:49:22Z

Cool game. I think the obstacles/walls should be colored to indicate danger, maybe red. At first I tried to get them. I think that you can hit things and not instantly lose, very fun.

Hook, Line, Key by chiyeon 2021-05-03T23:04:23Z

Great game. Really cool fishing mechanics, and visuals are great.

Deep Fried Pancake! by Inka McAtee 2021-04-26T21:28:19Z

Cool game and really creative visual theme. well done.

Bat and Spider Cavern by Greg the Egg 2021-04-26T19:33:46Z

Cool game. I had some issues with moving vertically that were related to pressing mouse buttons? I like the art.

Madness Inc. by NoelOskar 2021-04-26T04:24:25Z

Cool game! Very nice core mechanics and feel. I would have enjoyed a gun with faster rate of fire and less damage. I did not enjoy clicking rapidly and getting infrequent shots.

Escape From Hell by RedneckChan 2021-04-28T14:46:12Z

Cool game. Would have liked to not have a restriction on fire rate, as that feels like an unintuitive mechanic for a gun that is semi-automatic.

Untitled Simulator by Eugenik 2021-04-27T21:19:30Z

Really cool visual style and mood.

Diver Dave (Saves The Sea) by Yanergy 2021-04-26T16:45:24Z

Game is really cool. Mouse movement here is SO much better than lots of games like this using WASD and slow movement. This is actually fun to move around in, great primary loop. Please push a bug fix to the WebGL version!

Dig deeper and deeper by Dovahkciin 2021-04-26T19:29:19Z

Character art is nice, but performance has large issues that prevent me from playing. Would like to see this worked on more. Great job!

ScanR by CharlieGray 2021-04-26T05:56:49Z

Amazing visuals. This is a super cool idea. I would like to see a limitation on how much you can scan to make the decision of where to scan more important. A good strategy is scanning constantly everywhere and it eventually gets easy to see. Really cool and well done. Would like to see more on this.

Shovel Shovel! by Smoothi3 2021-04-26T03:27:30Z

would love to see a web build!

Just quarry on by the_martijn 2021-05-03T22:18:48Z

Cool game. The diamond and laser drills sounded cool, but the initial drill was so slow I did not make it to them. 100 resources seemed way to high to slowly keep clicking. I would prefer to see a game like this start out with the most fun drill you came up with, even if that meant there were no upgrades.

Hellivator by Billnotic 2021-04-27T02:47:23Z

Cool game. I like the dark flashlight vibe. Would have liked to get into the action even sooner!

Deep Space by Cole Hutson 2021-04-27T02:21:16Z

This is a great idea. Really cool take on this genre/mechanic. Only feedback is that the integrity degradation is not explained, and seems unfair. I would like to benefit from a good initial shot by coasting further. well done.

Shaaark! by josemhv22 2021-04-26T16:39:18Z

Cool game. I think the camera zoom level here is problematic, as it restricts you from actually analyzing the maze to escape. The only strategy here is randomly going around, guess and check. This is not interesting for a player since there are no decisions to make.

Cleaning Diver by JaviCoder 2021-04-26T20:06:00Z

The water and boat scene are beautiful. Great visuals. I would have preferred more go into the gameplay mechanics. The barrel recovery did not indicate any progress, and the movement was not as responsive or smooth as I would expect based on music and visuals. Really well done.

Duskwood by Voidsay 2021-04-26T22:23:13Z

Well built scene and mood. Very creepy vibe.

Space Jump by Gaminghamster 2021-04-26T05:16:00Z

Cool idea. I had issues with random platform spawns that made it impossible to continue. I would like to see more directed randomness to ensure the player can continue. Well done.

Deeper and Deeper by ishmandoo 2021-04-28T17:39:18Z

Cool visuals and concept. Tanks controls were a bit unintuitive, and I would have preferred some other system.

Buried Deep by Paroxysmal 2021-04-26T03:45:01Z

Web version not found for me

Astral Descension by nyxkn 2021-05-04T00:31:59Z

Cool concept. I think this idea would work a lot better in a real-time top down game where you had to walk on the invisible section for longer, and there was a risk/reward to getting close to the edge. In a turn based movement system it is pretty easy to remember the path. This is really cool, and I would like to see more.

Deep Exploration by aposs 2021-05-03T22:54:38Z

Cool game. I like the jousting-esque combat, and would love to see it after more time and polish.

Into the Forrest by frompdx 2021-04-27T02:36:57Z

Really cool concept. I like being able to see so much of the cool forest right from the start

A Dank Room by ssh.randy 2021-04-26T15:51:43Z

Link does not work, make sure your game is public/published/all that on itch.

Solar Subs by Simpathey 2021-04-28T16:08:30Z

Excellent game. The visuals of the flashlight are really cool since they allow you to see silhouettes but not color. Overall mood was great. I would really like to see this expanded on post-jam. Obstacles that block light would be cool, or a mechanic where your accuracy of click influences how much light gets passed on to the next sub so it adds conflict between speed and accuracy. Really well done.

Lies & Descent by LazyAlarm 2021-05-17T21:39:57Z

Cool idea. I would prefer a little more visibility, at least at first.

Corporate Mole by JoeDev 2021-05-04T00:34:39Z

Really cool game. The setting here is really cool and unique. Would love to see more worm-specific mechanics added. Where is the wiggle mini-game? Well done.

The Ocean Depths by ziggykac 2021-04-26T04:10:09Z

Cool game! I really liked the visuals. It would be helpful to have some static background with a texture, so that when you are in open water you can get a sense of where you are going. It is confusing when all you see is blue. Well done!

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-26T05:49:22Z

@cammin The eye visibility was a bug I fixed since other comments, and not being able it drink the potion is a bug I just pushed a fix for. Glad you liked it (WebGL only so far), thanks for the feedback.

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-26T12:33:54Z

@ariorick @ben-taylor I believe I bound ctrl to shoot in addition to left click. Just forgot to add that to instructions.

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-26T15:12:38Z

@hestrateja That was a bug, and a fix should be up now. Thanks for the feedback!

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-26T16:29:40Z

@msipp27 There should be. What platform are you on?

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-27T17:14:02Z

@jafcraze thanks for the feedback! The arrows represent speed boosts from fully turned werewolf legs. The arm represents throwing distance upgrades from fully turned arms. You get faster and more powerful the closer you are to the end of the game. Thanks for playing!

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-27T19:42:44Z

@asiyeap not sure I follow what you mean

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-29T01:09:25Z

@backurio Thanks for the detailed feedback! I agree with all of that, and it sounds like it is in line with the majority of other players too. I am pretty happy with the experience of first playthrough and lose, second playthrough and win. For a jam, that is exactly the kind of game I would want to play. My thoughts on what any future work would involve is basically keep all the visuals, audio, mood elements and completely scrap the mechanics. They don't seem extensible and this concept could be applied to lots of different game types.

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-05-07T14:45:18Z

@etrealjunior that is so cool! Thanks. I am working my way through all the games of comments and will definitely be playing your entry.

Trapdoor in the Garden by InitialPosition 2021-04-26T19:54:09Z

Well done polished game. Art is really nice. I like simplicity of attacking and moving.

Would love to see a web build!

Virtually Deeper by Glaikunt 2021-05-08T13:41:22Z

Cool game. I would like to see more feedback about what each weapon does, and damage being done to me. It was a little hard to figure out what the consequences of my choices were. Well done!

PANEMUAN by etrealjunior 2021-05-17T21:31:39Z

Cool game. I like the story focus. I would have preferred a faster pace of the intro and gameplay.

Padrum Trudge by TheMentalSheep 2021-04-27T02:10:19Z

Cool game. Art style is really nice and fits the underwater theme.

Drilling Well Clicker by yusovv 2021-04-28T14:03:10Z

10,001 - A space exploration game by tengusheath 2021-05-03T22:23:53Z

Great art and setting. Would love to see more objectives and mechanics added to this. Well done.

EarthDrop by Massillon Magic 2021-04-27T02:34:17Z

Great art, wish I could rate it.

Swing Shroom by Quite Good 2021-04-28T18:22:35Z

Polished and great looking game. Really impressive.

Deep in mars by DocSystem 2021-04-30T12:11:24Z

Cool game! Music is excellent. I like the concept of digging deeper, but slowly and limited by resource. It is a good idea to build tension.

Lost in the deep by Ambear 2021-05-08T13:55:20Z

cool entry. Visuals were nice.

Haunted Pizza Delivery by msipp27 2021-04-26T19:10:59Z

Good audio and mood. I would have liked to see a mechanic related to the theme, not just a framing device. The concept that each level is deeper does not affect gameplay, and platformers are already very difficulty to make without some cool twist.

Deep Dive by ForsakenBacon 2021-04-26T03:15:27Z

Would love to see a web build!

Project Achelois by DzejPi 2021-04-26T20:23:50Z

I like the mood/tone, but gameplay starts off way too slow and then I could not see anything when underwater. I would like to get straight into the gameplay and be able to see more. Would like to see what else you can do here!

I'm So Deep by liammasters 2021-05-08T15:31:57Z

Really creative and fun game. Great concept and scope for a jam. Well done!

Tropical Singer by Kevin S 2021-04-28T14:23:00Z

Music was really nice to listen to. I would have liked to see more variation in arrow directions, and some other mechanics added. The theme was really cool but the gameplay did not seem fully fleshed out. Definitely can imagine a really cool game based on the idea of a person singing and developing their voice. well done.

Jackhammer Joe by Wall Jump Games 2021-04-26T16:54:40Z

Likes - I like the idea of using a jackhammer as a weapon and as a platforming tool - Combos sound fun, although I never got any Problems - Friction with walls prevented me from easily jumping up onto platforms/ledges - I was never able to get passed the second ledge. The jackhammer pushed me to the left and I could not get back over fast enough

I would also recommend looking into color palettes. https://lospec.com/palette-list has a lot of really good ones. This may not be what you were going for, but often looks a lot better. You game has many fully saturated colors that do not necessarily look as cohesive as a good palette would.

If you are able to bug fix way the problem with the second ledge, or am missing something, please reply here. Good job!

Jackhammer Joe by Wall Jump Games 2021-04-26T17:41:54Z

@wall-jump-games I figured it out. I destroyed the gems/rock without making the jump. I did not see the huge jump boost and was just trying to jump. If you don't make it the first time, you have to restart the game. Playing again now.

Jackhammer Joe by Wall Jump Games 2021-04-26T17:44:34Z

I think the controls for the super jumnp are kind of difficult, it seems like you have to be on a gem, hold up, and then release space. This also leads to lots of soft fail states where it does not say game over, but you cannot progress. I would like to see maybe an automatic super jump by landing with the drill out? and some way to respawn gems or automatically restart the level if you fail. Good job.

Mystical Island by azakharov 2021-04-26T15:19:20Z

Cool game! I like the idea and the island visuals are really cool and mysterious. It felt a little too random for me to be interested in choosing what tile to pick next. I had no indication of what any tile might have.

Prof. Jones' Trench Research Mission by ZhennaPerks 2021-04-28T17:55:03Z

Nice art, and I like each of the underwater scenes.

Save the Queen by Purebe 2021-04-26T03:20:34Z

Cool game! It felt a little too zoomed out for me to easily understand what was happening. I like the concept of manipulating the terrain in combo with building things.

Deep in the ocean by xicoizquierdo 2021-04-26T03:35:38Z

Cool game! I like the 3D/2D sub art. I would have liked tighter movement controls. Pressing up was too floaty for me.

GOBLIN HAMBURGER LASER ARENA by youthfulIdealism 2021-05-04T00:27:38Z

Really cool game. Great concept, and it is really nice that the player acts as the UI of how many burgers you have eaten. Would love to see full game based on a more polished mechanic. Well done.

Granny Goes Deep by universeflow 2021-04-28T14:07:11Z

This is super funny and well polished. Great entry. Only problem was that falling multiple platforms way extremely difficult to land. Would have preferred a taller screen ratio and for the player to stay at the top, so you can see things coming more.

Almost A Digging Game by Fist Full of Shrimp 2021-05-17T21:41:26Z

Cool game. I would really appreciate visual feedback for what the player actions are doing to the environment.

My name ? by nyanpierre 2021-05-08T13:44:25Z

Cool game! Solved the first puzzle, and got stuck on the second

Hammer Dive by Clamshell64 2021-04-26T20:30:49Z

Really cool concise game. Only thing I would want is more audio and visual feedback when you hit and when you miss. A good screen-shake and particle effect when you get a hit could go a long way.

Wormy's Dangerous Dig by PavelC 2021-04-26T04:06:26Z

Really cool game. I like the idea of a 'sim' combined with snake. Well done.

Luft 4 Dared 8 by Windzyboy 2021-04-26T03:24:37Z

Would love to see a web build!

One More Lap! by Harrison Dunn 2021-04-27T02:49:40Z

First funny game! Well done.

Deep Salvage by TerraReef 2021-04-26T03:29:48Z

Cool game! Impressive work for a short jam. I would have liked to see the map focus on more vertical movement to do something with going deeper. The map is fairly flat, and I felt like I could see everything right from the start. Great work.

Deep Jam by MadR 2021-04-28T00:45:07Z

Excellent job integrating the hand drawn art, it looks really good. Main feedback would be making hazards more lenient, and balance the difficulty in the players favor. A lot of common platformer design tips involve making good things (pickups) easier than it looks, and bad things (spikes or enemies) harder than it looks i.e. hitbox smaller than the visuals indicate. I think that could go a long way here. Well done.

Submarine Bean by Icoso 2021-04-26T21:11:01Z

Cool game. Music was really nice. Would liked to see more mechanic related to theme. This is mechanically the same as a top down game and does not really depend on the deeper theme other than visually. Well done.

Crashdown by iellswo 2021-04-28T00:40:39Z

Cool game! The character and item art is really well done. I like that you can always see the levels below rather than just being told 'you are going deeper'. Great job.

EveryDay by xpoho 2021-04-28T14:32:43Z

Cool game. I like the idea of a day sim to tell a story. I think it is really important to keep the pace up for a game that is primarily narrative, and especially on the second day, I just felt like I was waiting for so long to do everything. With a faster pace, I think this could be easier to get into. Well done.

David The Diver by AutumnL1 2021-04-28T17:32:44Z

Crashed, but looks cool.

Gold Digger by ThatmanRobin 2021-05-08T15:29:32Z

I was unable to figure out the objective and flipped my vehicle. Cool game.

Greedy Miner by Wallkysek 2021-04-26T20:27:03Z

Cool game. I like the aesthetic and character art.

Into The Depth by Szymon OGD 2021-04-26T15:48:36Z

Cool game! I ran out if missiles and would have liked more.

Sleep Walls by drom1x 2021-04-26T04:51:42Z

Graphics and mechanics look amazing. Would have liked more feedback about how my dream meter was acting i.e. counting down/hitting x's/hitting numbers.

Be Queen by Cody Miner 2021-04-26T04:17:18Z

Really cool game. Would have liked ability to rotate like the enemies, and a general indication of where to go. Cool combat system, kind of like jousting. It was very fun to arrive at rooms where wasps had already battled and died.

Future Ants by TheTimesweeper 2021-04-28T14:52:20Z

Cool sim! There is an impressive amount of mechanics here. Well done.

DrillDrill: The Quest for Diamonds by Hoeleboele 2021-04-26T19:13:45Z

Cool concept. I like the digging gameplay that is fast paced and more interactive than most dig-dug-likes. Well done.

Canyoneer by Kieron Woodhouse 2021-04-26T20:54:47Z

Great game and nice music. Controls were kind of confusing to me.

Deeper Fishing by Thoastbot 2021-04-27T21:11:55Z

Cool game! I like the one button concept.

Hypnotic Plunge by WizKid 2021-04-26T03:57:53Z

Visuals are really cool. Would like to how the platforming could interact with the repeating depth.

Dig Deep Get Gold by Tim77 2021-05-08T13:52:28Z

This is a really fun game. I would want to see tips on how to boost in game, since without that is was very boring. Once I figured out the boost, it was a ton of fun. Music and SFX speeding up with gameplay is really great.

Find The Page! by Rouge_dragon 2021-04-26T19:25:12Z

Really cool idea. I would love to see how this could work with hand crafted pages rather than real. This might allow for smaller pages, and levels with much higher depth.

Pimble! by PirateHearts 2021-04-26T03:10:41Z

Would love to see a web version!

Eye will see you down there by vegmuffin 2021-04-26T21:26:20Z

Cool game. I wish there was some mechanical link to you being eyes besides the visuals. Well done and I would like to see more of this.

LIFELINE by A Rat with a Hat 2021-04-26T15:55:05Z

Zip files are not compatible with the itch desktop app (Used to download files in sandbox and more secure). Itch has a tool called butler that will automatically publish your game builds to itch in a way that is compatible with the desktop app and direct download. I recommend it.

Graphics are cool. Would have liked to see more mechanical integration with the theme rather than just describing in words what is happening. Let me play this story instead of reading it.

Falling Rock by David Horning 2021-04-26T15:51:00Z

This is amazing. Super great and striking visuals, and nice simple mechanic that is fun and new. Well done.

Dash To The Core by GreyBeetle 2021-04-26T03:36:51Z

Cool concept! Art style is nice. Would like to see more added to this. well done.

The Right Way by OffworldDemon 2021-04-27T02:07:57Z

I liked the mood and visuals, but everything was extremely slow. I would love to see a version with faster movement for player and enemies. Well done.

RUN FROM STUFF (2D Chase Game) by PookiPoot 2021-04-28T15:33:10Z

Fantastic art style. I really like how zoomed out it feels, which makes it feel like I am moving much faster while still being in control. Gives be vibes of N++. Well done.

Not The Urchins! by Cammin 2021-04-26T03:18:34Z

Cool game! I like the idea of losing visibility as you go. I would prefer more responsive movement. Delayed speed changes is less realistic, but also less frustrating.

Neon Maze by OMG BlackBeard 2021-04-28T14:58:07Z

Visuals and colors are really nice.

Kikker Kerker by kleingeld 2021-04-26T19:59:29Z

Great visuals and presentation. I would like to see what you can do with this given more time.

Botanica by FDK 2021-04-26T19:18:36Z

Cool game. Sprites for enemies and player are really well done. I would have liked to see a mechanic related to the theme, not just a framing device. The concept that each level is deeper does not affect gameplay, and platformers are already very difficulty to make without some cool twist.

Gobs of the Deep by Tiseno 2021-05-04T00:37:13Z

Cool game. Platformers are really hard to make, especially in a jam, and I think this game's biggest difficulty is unpolished core mechanics. I think this concept could have worked in a top down system which would have been much faster to implement. The core idea here seems tied to the lighting and shooting, not jumping around. Well done.

Deeper Caverns by Quartzified Studios 2021-04-28T00:52:49Z

Is is one of the best games I have played this jam. Awesome design. Only thing I would like is for a visual indication that you can move into the skeletons to kill them. I had to trial and error a bit to figure that out, maybe if the arrow was red when you were next to them, it would be quicker to pick up without having to read directions. Well done.

The Descent for Knowledge by Stewmega 2021-04-26T03:22:04Z

Would love to see a web build!

The deepest curse by Bobafett89 2021-04-26T15:58:54Z

Cool game. Character art is nice. I would like to see mechanics related to the theme in more focus. This seems to be a pretty standard platformer. Just going down in general does not add to the gameplay at all. Well done. For a jam platformer, this is very good and competent.

Surface by lb01 2021-04-26T05:10:22Z

Cool game. Movement was super smooth and great feeling. Visuals were impressive, I have not seen many low-res space games like this but this looks awesome.

Turnip Brothers by oysuta 2021-04-26T15:40:23Z

I did not have enough breath to make it to the first leaf, so I could not make any progress. Cool visuals, would like to see this after fix.

Turnip Brothers by oysuta 2021-04-26T21:31:20Z

Ah ok, I tried again and makes sense. I think the dithering is confusing since all blue and mostly blue tiles are walls, and the lone land tile does not stick out against the adjacent ones. I think the visuals would be more clear with fewer variations.

ld48: no-eyes by sesemcc 2021-04-26T04:56:10Z

Cool game. 3 color palette is really cool. Gameplay was a bit confusing.

Kill Yasuhiro by Spydercrawler 2021-04-26T05:02:07Z

Cool game. Felt fund to dash around a spearman and see him attack where I just was.

Hellpong by Hasuverse 2021-04-27T02:12:21Z

I liked the visuals, but the lack of visual feedback when hitting/getting hit made it very difficult. Would love to see more added!

B.R.E.A.K - Bad Robot Enjoys Attacking Krew! by pxlshk 2021-05-17T21:25:04Z

Nice graphics and solid platforming. Well done

Don't hit anything by Martinek 2021-04-30T12:17:10Z

Cool game! Art is really nice and I would love to see more added. I think the evade/dash should move you quickly rather than teleporting. Also need some visual and audio feedback when you get hit to help the player understand what is happening. Also highly recommend using itch.io or similar to host you game next time. People are much more likely to play a web game than download an exe from a stranger on the internet. Should result in getting more reviews and feedback. Great job, and really impressive if this is your first project.

Deep into the vibe by Ariorick 2021-04-26T04:38:10Z

Cool game mechanic and visuals. I like the overall feel. Would like to see more added. Well done.

Dahla's Journey by PiJaMar 2021-05-17T21:12:24Z

Really cool game. Would love to see more mechanics added. Alternative color palettes would also be a really fun addition.

Mind Hunter by Hotpaw 2021-04-26T15:45:59Z

Really cool visuals and plot/story. It was unclear to me if I had won or lost at the final button. I would have liked more feedback on my progress, since losing means you have to reexamine every single level even if only one was wrong. Great work.

samurai-dash by enricomandelli 2021-04-28T17:55:41Z

Really cool game. Would have preferred for desktop to be supported primarily. Well done.

Morse Caverns by LSK 2021-04-26T03:21:50Z

Link not working for me

Morse Caverns by LSK 2021-04-26T03:58:39Z

Link is working, but would like to see w web build!

Deepr Diver by Vitor Figueredo 2021-04-26T05:06:14Z

Really fun game. I like the visuals and the one-button design. I would like to see a tighter collision box on the player, as it seemed like I died when not touching obstacles. It was also hard to overcome randomly being surrounded by obstacles when you cannot go straight down easily. Well done

Into the Forest by asdfman 2021-04-26T15:31:01Z

Please upload this to itch.io or similar so I can play it!

Into the Forest by asdfman 2021-05-03T22:26:41Z

Cool game!

Moth extraction by rhys_vdw 2021-04-26T04:36:40Z

This makes me physically ill. Visual style is great. Visuals are terrifying. Well done I think?

Deeper inside a computer by Konect 2021-04-27T02:24:51Z

Cool game. I like the concept here, but would have liked to see more time spent on the mechanics rather than visuals. Well done and I would be interested to see where you can take this.

Swarm! by Ghost_Wave 2021-04-26T22:19:32Z

Great game and great music. I like the core concept and would love to see it get expanded. This seems like a great starting points for a mechanic where you build things.

Caves of the Forgotten by CorbenG 2021-04-27T21:14:11Z

Great game! Visuals were super cool. I would have liked some faster move speed, as I felt like I was waiting for all the in-between areas.

SPERMA by the neon shark 2021-04-26T03:33:17Z

Ew but also cool. Very cool mechanic. Got a little tough when it was very zoomed out and I could barely see in from of the leading man.

LD48 - Tunnel Ninja by Timbertoes 2021-04-26T04:08:17Z

Cool game. I like the idea of platform fighting and digging, but found the platforming not precise enough. This is an ambitious mechanic to tackle. Well done.

shroomfall by Hydrothermal 2021-04-26T03:16:11Z

Not working for me. If you reply here when it is up I will give it a go.

DEPTHS by taikinaaa 2021-04-30T12:26:52Z

Cool game. Color palette is really nice and works well with your mood and art style. Submarine was really cool, and I would love to explore more story and horror going on there. The sub is inherently a dangerous small claustrophobic space, and very vulnerable to many things. As a jam/compo game, I think this needs to quicken the pace. There is benefit to setting the scene for horror, but slow walking speed quickly becomes frustrating. I would like to see the story setup and start quickly. Really cool game, well done.
