Not what I expected to see in this jam XD. I actually had a ridiculously good run my first try... but choked and didn't quite make it. This has classic NG vibes with a spritz of Edmund. Great game! Best time so far is 1:32

Freaking brutal!!!! Also this is amazing. Great team and great execution. Reminds me of peak Newgrounds times. Congratulations to all four of you. It's an amazing jam game.
great work team! music, effects, design, art, feel are all A+
**Way to go cupcake!**
I love the voice! And seems like you've really managed to add a lot of stuff. Good job
Super fun, I could totally see myself competing with my friends to get the best time, my only "complaint" I guess is that I ran into some out of bounds glitches from time to time, but given the quick-restart nature of the game its really not that big of a problem at all. Nice job!
Definitely a great game for speedrunning, announcer was awesome too.
The controls are a little too floaty, in my opinion, but overall it's excellent. Glad I bookmarked this one yesterday!
Great fluid combat, once I was able to get a hang of the controls the movment really opened up and allowd for very fun gameplay!
OH MY GOD, THE PUNS. :D This is awesome, and so polished! I think it might benefit a bit from tighter movement--quicker acceleration/deceleration--and maybe a bit more movement animation on the character. (The floaty feel is a bit at odds with the speedrun nature and amped-up mood of the game, I think.) Great voiceovers, music, art, all of it--awesome work. :)
Fun game. Loved the voice overs!
Really nice game! I really enjoyed the idea of a timer ticking down in a "make your way to the end" sort of game, giving the game a real sense of urgency, and I liked that one of the powerups you could choose was more time. Of course I eventually realized that if I kept choosing that powerup it was easy to finish the game. The combat is real fun in this game and I absolutely love the ridiculous voiceovers!
So this was fun lol. The combat was surprisingly cathartic with the combination of the grappling hook and slashing. The voice acting and music were top notch and nailed the over-the-top effect. The graphics were really cool. Enemy designs were nice as well. The timer kept things fast paced and fun. I'm probably going to be playing this one for a while lol
This was amazing!! Loved the combination of sound and humor. Felt like super meat boy and binding of issac had a baby. Sounds are always the important part of the experience and you definetely aced it. Keep it up!
Ha yeah have to agree, feeling strong newgrounds/isaac vibes from this one. The sound design is quite good and it's one of the few games where I feel like the category humor is actually applicable. One thing that didn't quite sit with me was that there is an incentive not to fight enemies. You could try starting with less time and giving a small time increment when you beat an enemy. Nonetheless it was some fun runs and the game feels quite polished, you can tell that some love went into making it feel good. I might have another go rn :)
Fun but on german keyboards, the Z and Y key is inverted, that's why I had to stop at some point. Game itself is very well done, lot's of different enemies. Only thing I wish for (except an english keyboard xD) would be a faster death animation. But I really liked the game, it is quick, fun, challenging and the fast reset takes out the frustration. ^^
Woah, this feels really fleshed out for a game jam entry, nicely done! I had some trouble running into things or the monsters hanging out on the spawn point, but overall this worked really well and was super polished. Nice job!
Yooo this game was super fun! I love that the base concept is a crazy, off-the-wall concept that's funny and strangely not hard to wrap your head around. It's the kind of take on the theme that, when juxtaposed with details like the narration and the enemy designs and the art etc, makes a game that's absolutely dripping with personality.
In particular, I was impressed with the large number of quality levels (there were so many, but they all seemed to be well-tested and were ordered in a way that was super conducive to the feeling of progression), as well as the incredible soundtrack. Seriously, you should put that up for download somewhere!! I'd love to listen to that Bad Apple-esque boss theme without having to go through the game each time heh
Speaking of getting through the game, the one thing I'd recommend is having more time initially, since it seems almost impossible to beat the game without choosing time during the choice screens, which hampers the whole 'choice' aspect a bit (unless the timer works differently than how I understand it? I admittedly wasn't looking at it the whole time so am unsure if it adds time or pauses anywhere for any reason).
Great work all around, though, super high quality stuff! Y'all better win humor for this one i s2g
(p.s. i thought it was really funny that the goal of this game is actually kind of the opposite of the theme, but it's such an original and clearly prompt-inspired idea that i still gave a high theme score wheeee)
Yet another game that I would remember. Fun little levels, great art and animations, insane music, epic voice acting (reminds me of Tee-KO from Jackbox Games), time trials for replayability and even a bossfight! Amazing work!
Really cool game. Visuals are fantastic.
You done great, cool music and voice actor. Doesn't bored gameplay.
Cool game, the music is badass, and I like the concept of spending mere seconds on a single room, forces you to think quickly. The dialogue about shouting to a body made me laugh.
As feedback, I found the time upgrade to be overpowered. I think it would be better if it was changed for a different one (like a health upgrade of some sort), and then increase the initial time.
Great job!
Very good quality. It's amazing to see what a team can come up with in just a weekend. The gameplay by itself is not complex but has some good polish, the audio and graphics really bring it together though.

FREAKIN' BRUTAL! This was really fun- trying to get out before time expired was a rush. I actually didn't figure out there was a slash until around halfway through the game, so I was just dodging for a lot of the time lol. The enemy designs are nice and certainly remind me of the olden flash days. I felt like I kinda had to take the time powerup every time, or I'd run out. Was still able to respawn my way to victory in the final boss battle. Great job.
This was really funny and fun, the only thing I would add is a tutorial. Great job!
@squidly If there was no corruption in that run, that was INSANE. My personal best is 1:13:75 with 6 lives, and I can't understand how the heck you didn't have to upgrade your time. Tell me your secret, do you upgrade speed, and then the attack twice? And how do you kill the boss without dying like crazy? I've got to know, I spent so much time trying to improve my run.
The art, sound, and music were all really well done. The idea for the game is fun, but I think the controls were too slippery for a fast paced game like this. They need to be more precise. I also got trapped in a bad respawn loop between spikes and a bunch of enemies because they enemies don't reset when you respawn.
@glowglew speed x2 then attack, but it's all about the routing
also, I do die to the boss, which is why that score isn't faster :x
Well done choosing a theme and then delivering on it. The boss fight at the end in particular was tense.
Oh man, 'Minit' meats "Binding of Isac' in a Beat em' up! Awesome entry, nice game art, the voice is awesome the music is just on point, really loved the project! Congrats! o/

This was really fun to play! I like the art a lot, and some sounds and some images are... weird and funny XD I like that weirdness ahah :D Like everyone else said, music, voices and art is awesome. If this wasn't a jam game, I would enjoy playing it too (in real life). I want to appreciate this game more but my English is suffering and begging for letting her go. I want to say well done, and adios amigos, aa and I would really like it if I could play the game in a bigger screen. Bye!
Overall a great entry and really well polished for a game-jam game. My biggest criticism would be that the controls felt a tad sluggish, which might just be personal preference.
Very good game :) The sound design & art are especially great, totally enjoyed til the end. But I played cowardly and only invested on time extensions. Imho, I'm not sure the time limit was such a great idea: it kind of broke the whole combat gameplay, as it was better to just avoid enemies every time. Also, the death animation has a small delay which could probably completely be cut. Anyway, excellent game!
hahah... great entry! Sounds (+VO) , graphics are really nice! Cheers! Had some issues with the controls in the beginning. I'm so used to use WASD for movement.
Great game. Only thing that i'd change would be controls cuz they were a bit too slippery for me ( though it kinda makes sense :v). GJ!
@oc1d generally unless a mouse is involved, it's arrow keys for movement
The voice of the actor was really epic! I like the fast style of the game. One critic is the floaty controls, but I believe you are already planning an update for that? ;)
Great game! Really hilarious, and the graphics, audio, and gameplay are all great. Everything feels well polished. Overall, great game. Well done!
This was amazing! I don't know what to add that hasn't already been said so many times above, so I'll just say that I hope your team makes a full-fledged game from this concept, even if it's a different aesthetic, the base of an awesome fast-fighting game is here.
Pretty decent entry with good music and graphics reminiscent of a NG game.
The one hit kill is a bit brutal when there's an enemy at the other side of a ledge.
Really satisfying game here firing on all cylinders. The penultimate level kinda fucked me where I spawned halfway on top of the spike leading to a loop of the enemies going onto that spot and me just racking up deaths.
Cool to see some Newgrounds vets work on a game for this ldjam! I totally checked spazkid's twitter on a whim and lo and behold here's this game. Awesome work guys! Longtime fan :)
The game of course has great art and audio. Very polished and kind of challenging. fetusdeletus.PNG
really surprised to see such familiar faces work on this game, and what can I say, those faces do not disappoint. The visuals and audio rock (I especially love the various death exclamations), and the game feels pretty dang good to control. Its a fetus fighting good time!
Awesome commentary! The art is sooo nice! Loved this game, very well done and pretty solid mechanics!
Absolutely loved this! Like others have already mentioned, it gave some Binding of Isaac vibes with the theme and art, while still being its own little game- managed to sub-1 it by just booking it in every level. I think I would've wished for a bit more enemy variety or depth to the combat, but really enjoyed this solid jam entry nonetheless. :D
I played a bunch of this trying to improve my run but I just kept going for 3x attack upgrades I gotta try the 2 speed + 1 attack strat! This was so well rounded and polished I had so much fun! Looking forward to seeing when you work on it more <3
