LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep It Alive by danman9914 2020-04-21T18:40:17Z

Amazing aesthetic and art, fantastic job.

pod by irwatts 2020-04-22T09:35:36Z

Really original idea! Love that the face changes on the package, it's a nice touch. Also extremely fun just to mess around with the parameters outside of the main objective. Nice!

Desktop Garden by 0x0 2020-04-22T01:16:23Z

Fantastic idea and execution. Thank you for this masterpiece.

SPECIAL MEAT for a special boy by LethalTurtle 2020-04-21T18:13:30Z

Love the look/feel of the game (especially the "pet"). Nice work!

Keep it afloat! by Maka 2020-04-21T10:07:32Z

Amazing entry! I love how unique the control scheme is, and the art style is equally unique as well. Really well done!

Kingdom Trainee by ukirain 2020-04-21T09:05:29Z

Really unique idea! The cards were a bit random at times, but it's a really nice entry overall.

KEEP THE F*CKING GAME ALIVE by PerfMouse Studios 2020-04-24T20:57:03Z

Interesting concept for a platformer, was enjoyable to hop around in!

Game of Life+ by Teo Miklethun 2020-04-22T09:28:07Z

Awesome puzzles, and a clever usage of the original game of life. Nice!

Bosskeeper by YellowKamel 2020-04-22T08:40:44Z

Nice idea! It's a bit hard to tell how much health the slime has left, but I liked the varied traps.

Flower Defense by yokuday 2020-04-21T09:45:55Z

I really like the enemy variety as the game goes on. The sheer number of enemies in the last waves is pretty great as well.

The Reef by jakemchugh1 2020-04-21T10:14:32Z

Unique idea! I like how you worked the theme into a simulation based on real-world equations. It's also just entertaining to watch.

Dreadful Sanity - A Ludum Dare Game Jam Game by misterG420 2020-04-21T08:52:26Z

Nice! I liked the inclusion of the sanity bar, it really pushed me to find the exit quickly in my first playthrough. My only issue was that it was sometimes hard to tell where to click to go back a room, but that's just a small detail. Well done!

CONSUME by Brainloaf Studio 2020-04-22T17:52:49Z

@celvin The Poop Dealer may be able to help with that...

CONSUME by Brainloaf Studio 2020-04-23T01:02:45Z

@misterg420 Thanks for playing! We are indeed working on a game to be released on Steam called "The Adventures of Bluke Bifton" :)

CONSUME by Brainloaf Studio 2020-04-23T01:08:12Z

@teo-miklethun Thank you for all the feedback, it is much appreciated!

PROJECT AIBO by Si WToSL 2020-04-21T18:43:38Z

Only the best from Si, WToSL. How do they do it.

The Fridge by robokarla 2020-05-11T01:37:24Z

Definitely one of the most unique ideas I've seen for the jam! A bit confusing to figure out at first, but once you do it's a pretty fun game. Nice job!

Life of a Battery by EOShadows 2020-04-21T09:53:10Z

Nice idea! I like the color scheme as well.

Soaring Islands: ludum dare 46 game by Flamti 2020-04-22T08:53:20Z

Fun platforming! I appreciated the multiple levels. I do wish that the gold had a purpose outside of just points, though.

Rodolf by Nurk 2020-04-22T09:16:57Z

Awesome entry. I love the art for the baby in the corner. And being able to listen for the (demon?) baby when it's chasing you is a great touch.

Little Red Hood by RooftopDog 2020-04-21T09:24:16Z

The mood here is great! I really liked when some puzzle aspects got involved as well in levels 2 and 3. A few of the enemy encounters have some trial and error, but overall I really enjoyed it.

Sound Player by celvin 2020-04-22T09:05:54Z

Really cool idea! It's simple but very unique. However, I kept getting a bug on level 3 where the character would walk over the end goal socket and off the right side of the screen instead of plugging it in and completing the level. Screenshot (55).png

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Loop Trap by Knatt 2020-10-23T23:42:55Z

Ooh, nice idea! It's pretty fun flying around trying to break the right blocks to survive. I had some close calls too. My only suggestion would be to possibly shorten the timer on the levels - it felt just a bit too long in my opinion. Awesome job!

Sky Torus by DekuJuice 2020-10-07T05:22:50Z

Awesome use of the theme! I loved the enemy and boss design in each of the stages and the screen looping mechanic was super unique. Difficult, but great. Well done!

A Letter to Haedrics Wife by AndideBob 2020-10-24T00:29:36Z

Really nice game. I had a ton of fun playing through all of the options, and seeing all of the art. Awesome job!

Monotonous by Thesandgamer 2020-10-23T23:57:38Z

Nice! I like the idea behind the monotonous loop, and the simplistic art style works well. We went with a similar idea for our game so this was really interesting to play through. Nice job!

Shattered Hub by Gen Liu 2020-10-07T05:40:10Z

Was a little confusing to figure out what to do, but I eventually made it! I think a little more direction could help, since it seems a bit random at the moment. Also, the music is a jam. I'm leaving the game open just to listen to it.

In road way by Rs11s21n 2020-10-24T01:17:09Z

Really like the style of it all. Very ambient and enjoyable just to walk around. Nice!

One Way Ticket by Marnie 2020-10-07T05:07:12Z

Really fun game! I enjoyed the how frantic it was trying to find the correct route through the level, and even had to adjust sometimes right before I failed to save things. Nice job!

Mobius Trips by Profugo Barbatus 2020-10-24T01:22:33Z

Amazing atmosphere/mood to the whole game. Simple gameplay, but I enjoyed it a lot. Nice job!

Endless Corridor by Trevor802 2020-10-07T04:59:50Z

Really unique idea! I had fun trying to figure out the layout of the maze. I did encounter a few glitches (jumping on the stairs makes you continually jump afterwards, and I ran past an item without collecting it because I was too far to the right) but it's a nice game overall!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-06T18:07:13Z

@c42 Glad you liked it! Thanks for the heads up as well, I hadn't thought about giving cheesecake to the door! As for the manager, she cares about you finishing your job before everything else. She's not likely to be happy if there's still mail left in the mail pile...

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-06T22:38:11Z

@melvinng Thank you, glad you liked it!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-06T22:39:01Z

@Dexort Our artist would agree that cat lady is the best option. Thank you!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-07T21:09:35Z

@revetoon Glad to hear it! We wanted to match the theme of the jam by having your character be stuck in a loop of working their menial job (you can deliver mail and sleep infinitely), then break that loop by forming a relationship with a coworker.

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-07T21:09:50Z

@twobitjen Thank you!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-08T23:48:39Z

@harksa Thank you! We're really glad to hear you enjoyed the game! Who doesn't want to become the spouse of a plant, really?

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-10T07:57:09Z

@peace-of-cake-games Glad you liked it, that means a lot to hear! Having each ending be wildly different was a big goal of ours. That's a good point too, I'll definitely add a note.

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-24T01:08:02Z

@eoshadows Glad that you enjoyed the game! Having a bunch of choices and content was a goal to keep things interesting, so it's great to hear it worked out! Those are definitely both bugs though, thanks for letting us know. We're going to be posting an improved version of the game sometime in the nearby future to fix all the weird stuff like that. Thanks for the feedback!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-24T06:05:18Z

@snowinn Dang, I'm not sure if we'll be able to get a WebGL version up or not before ratings close, but thank you for the support regardless!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-24T06:10:25Z

@ectucker1 Glad you enjoyed it! You have to deliver the mail to a coworker, then talk to them again to receive a relationship-related task for the day. SFX is definitely planned for a future update to the game. And we'll pass that along to our music maestro! Thanks for the feedback!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-24T09:09:48Z

@pluisjen Poor H.R.! (Though, after playing his route, maybe it's for the best...) Glad you enjoyed!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-24T18:56:16Z

@pee-thief Thanks, glad you liked it!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-24T19:44:45Z

@sakura-magika Glad you hear you enjoyed the game! Poor H.R., but it was for the greater good. Mr. Mittens needs his nutrition.

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-24T20:54:05Z

@fingamer Glad you liked the game! We wanted to do something different from what we were used to, and go with something more dialogue heavy. It's great to hear that it worked out! Thanks for playing!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-24T23:27:54Z

@gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida Awesome, glad you enjoyed it!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-26T02:13:24Z

@666savior How romantic!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-28T03:37:24Z

@peace-of-cake-games Thank you so much for all of the support! We can't believe it ourselves!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-28T03:50:58Z

@peace-of-cake-games Yeah, we definitely will be expanding on the game a bit! We're working on adding voice acting, polishing up some assets, adding sfx, + a few other small things. We plan on participating in LD48 for sure. Hope the jam went well for you, we'll definitely see you in the next one!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-28T03:58:05Z

@peace-of-cake-games Impossible to know, but hey - there's a lot of time to prepare!

Stuck in the system by FayLee 2020-10-07T04:42:16Z

It took a while to figure out what was happening with the colors, but once I understood it was fun! Level two was a nice challenge, and I managed to get it on the first try without restarts. I definitely agree that showing the screen after you fail would be helpful. It's a cool concept and nice game, though!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Dwarf Dig Deep by Lintfordpickle 2021-04-29T02:32:30Z

A little difficult gameplay-wise, but clearly a lot of effort went into this with the amount of content there is, especially for the compo. Good work!

Secret Floors by Quetzakol 2021-04-30T01:47:34Z

Nice! I liked the puzzle solving, having to figure out where the next number is was fun (especially that last one). Also props for having the game recognize and react to you trying to use the last code first lol. Well done!

Tension by JustinMullin 2021-04-28T10:33:20Z

Woah, the grappling is really fun! I had a lot of fun just swinging around - the way the rope wraps around corners and edges is really cool to play with. The SFX for the narrator is also great, perfectly ominous. If I had one suggestion, it'd be to ease the penalty for death a bit. Really well done though, I enjoyed it a lot!

Capsaiciner by a333 2021-04-28T07:52:44Z

Really fun! I like how the fire mechanic is worked into the level design - activating switches, burning plants - and more than solely a movement mechanic (a very fun movement mechanic nonetheless). I enjoyed the art especially, the animated creatures in the background added a ton to the atmosphere. The "ohh yeah!" when you collect peppers is great too. Really great work!

Nuclear Arms 8: Navigate the Hate by Logicon211 2021-04-30T00:48:28Z

Big fan of the voice acting and generally ridiculous story lol. I had a lot of fun discovering the new enemy types as the levels went on, and always trying to go for the best answer. I do think the enemy damage can be a bit unfair at times, and some tweaking on the damage values could be nice. Still had a fun time though - nice work!

Into the Matrix by TheGamer1123211 2021-04-29T23:38:19Z

Extremely fun gameplay! I had a blast dashing around, swapping weapons, hiding behind cover, and strategizing on how to complete each level. The modifiers like extreme recoil and "gun hot potato" were awesome additions too. I'm a big fan of how the dash effect looks visually as well as how the enemies fracture as their health goes down. Really solid entry overall - well done!

Nail It Deep! by one-seed-fruit 2021-04-29T22:36:37Z

Fun application of the theme! I've seen a lot of "falling" games, but not a lot of *hammering* games lol. It's simple, but oddly addicting. Nice job!

TREE by Marcionix 2021-04-29T22:42:47Z

I really like the gameplay loop! Discovering the best method/order of actions while also avoiding rocks is simple, but I had fun with it. Like others are saying, some sound definitely would have added to things, but the game is already very nice without that aspect. Nice work!

Infinity Dive by keepee 2021-04-28T07:22:23Z

Wooooah. Simple and original in the best way. Had a lot of fun just messing around with the different letters at the beginning and trying to develop a sort of strategy to survive. Was able to wrack up over 500k+ points after discovering a method lol. Very cool.

Poopy's Journey to the Center of the Earth by Dr_V 2021-04-30T01:57:15Z

Finally, a LD48 entry that appeals to my 1st-grade humor. Something about the bar at the top simply being named "poop" is hilarious to me. Gameplay is fun too. Brilliant.

Coffin Drop by cdunham 2021-04-28T09:02:10Z

Ooh this is a really unique idea! I like the item management, only being able to hold one item at a time adds a lot of chaos to the gameplay (in a good way)! The item pickup can be a bit finicky - sometimes I'd try to pick up one coffin out a pile, and instead I'd pick up a nearby shovel or weapon - but it wasn't a major issue. I could definitely see this being added onto. Nice job!

Deep Cover by Silas Reinagel 2021-04-29T02:13:11Z

This was a very interesting and cool concept to fit into the theme. The quality of the artwork and music/SFX is great!

Fetal Fury by Squidly 2021-04-30T02:05:39Z

FREAKIN' BRUTAL! This was really fun- trying to get out before time expired was a rush. I actually didn't figure out there was a slash until around halfway through the game, so I was just dodging for a lot of the time lol. The enemy designs are nice and certainly remind me of the olden flash days. I felt like I kinda had to take the time powerup every time, or I'd run out. Was still able to respawn my way to victory in the final boss battle. Great job.

Fallumns by Logan 2021-04-28T10:05:48Z

Holy crap, this was *amazing*. I don't want to say too much, but I absolutely loved the twist. A grin spread across my face when I first realized what was happening and I don't think it really went away until the end of the game. At first I was wondering what the theme interpretation was, but now it all makes sense lol. Super polished and such a fun concept. Amazing work.

Bucket: A Space Odyssey by Carraka 2021-04-30T00:20:49Z

Wow, this was amazing! I love how many choices the narrative throws at you, I deifnitely want to do a second playthrough at some point and try out some other options. Personally, I ended up with a tentacle face, mined my way to infinite titanium riches, and sped into the black hole with Bucket at my side. What a great time - awesome work.

Yerlik by gord10ahmet 2021-04-29T02:19:03Z

Very nice visuals and overall mood!

Diggurai by svyatozar 2021-04-29T08:00:50Z

I like the animation for the player character! I would have liked to have seen more of the digging mechanics used for the theme, since most of the gameplay seemed to be platforming. It is a neat mechanic, though, and once I figured out what I was doing, carving my way through the wall was pretty cool!

Mandahlia by MicroChasm 2021-04-28T08:49:51Z

What a delightful experience! Really enjoyed how relaxing this was, and the zoom out shot of the full mandala + animation were beautiful. Great work!

Callous by MateusBoga 2021-04-29T23:27:24Z

Woah, I really enjoyed this! It's a really unique take on the theme, and I really enjoyed progressing to understand the story (that twist at the end, though!). The art is impressively polished, I especially liked the portraits. The environmental work looks really nice too, the parallax effect and color tinting adds a lot. The only issues I had was that I didn't spot the touchstones at all until a few layers in - they might be a little hard to spot - and that I wished the movement speed could be faster at times, or to add some kind of sprint button while searching. Those were just minor things though, and the overall experience was excellent. Awesome entry!

LuK-2000 and the Fragments of the Past by Avzgui 2021-04-28T08:35:53Z

Ooh, the rope/ladder placement is a nice idea! I'm so used to platforming without having to think about these things that this took some real thought lol. I also really like the environmental art, along with LuK-2000's animations. Very charming - nice work!

The Long Loneliness by Stroe Andrew 2021-04-29T22:49:25Z

The polish on art and music is really, really nice! It was also fun trying to navigate the levels as fast as possible - I appreciate that you let the player keep the collected crystals even when you lose a level. It was a little confusing sometimes trying to press the right arrow to teleport, but it wasn't a major issue. Very nice work!

The Icarus by PowerAnze 2021-04-29T07:34:20Z

Amazing concept and execution. The navigation is unlike anything I've played, and I really enjoyed the minimalist sound design in the same vein. Some of my favorite moments were propelling into the unnaturally round tunnels and wondering what I was really diving deeper into - I doubted it was simply just a cave more and more. Very well done.

Mine Flower by Denzil Gomes 2021-04-28T09:38:27Z

The axe-climbing is a really fun idea! I'm also grateful for the frequent checkpoints - I was fearing I'd have to start all over when I fell into spikes midway through. Would have been cool if gems had more of a purpose, but it did still feel cool finding that hidden stash near the beginning. Nice job!

LD48 Deeper and deeper by GHubert 2021-04-30T02:38:28Z

This is an interesting game! I'm not exactly sure what the eyes do, but I was able to develop my own strategy involving the different colors. Nice work!

6 Feet Under by theStoff 2021-04-28T11:23:09Z

Totally amazing. It's appreciated that you teach the player the fundamentals of the movement mechanics early on (level 2 took me a while!) so that they can be ready for all of the crazy stuff you throw at them later lol. Every time I made it to a new "world" I was excited to see what new thing would be thrown at me. The option to swap pallettes is nice, especially with how crisp the art is (+ the music!) Really, really well made stuff.

Dig World by kuviman 2021-04-29T23:47:09Z

I love walking around the destroyed server lol. This is a really cool game though, especially the multiplayer aspect and being able to customize your character (I tried to make my character look as stupid as possible, of course). The music and art combined gives me nostalgia for old flash games in a similar vein, and I mean that in the best way. Really fun & unique entry.

Catryoshka by mpetrus 2021-04-30T00:33:01Z

Really fun puzzle game! I loved the implementation of the theme with matryoshka dolls - super clever. The art style is also really nice combined with the music. Some more levels with some greater difficulty would be awesome, but I understand the limitations of the jam for sure. Props as well for the credits being a level itself, love that lol. Well done!

Heroes Dungeon: Doomsday Reporter Saga by AlexTagun 2021-04-28T10:23:47Z

Niiice! Taking away direct control from the player leads to a pretty unique spin on an endless game, I like it. And those character designs are horrifying in the best way. Props to the Hall of the Mountain King OST.

ATOMIC deepness by Kevin Meissner 2021-04-28T09:08:27Z

Nice game! I'm a fan of how you're able to keep your upgrades after you lose & how that makes losing into an opportunity to only make it further next time. The cockroaches are also delightfully horrifying.

To The Planet Core by Corporation 2021-04-29T23:01:38Z

Niiice! The concept here is really fun and I love tile-based puzzles like this. Having to figure out the best placements of my miners/drills in relation to the position of ores was an interesting mechanic, especially having to work with what the terrain generation gave me. I couldn't find a good way to remove placed blocks, as sometimes I would misclick, but I understand that might be another purpose of the drill. Nice work!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T00:33:43Z

@everette-h We did too while designing it. We don't blame you

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T00:36:30Z

@a333 Hey, thank you! It means a lot to hear all of that- we were really hoping to accomplish a tight gameplay loop and invoke that sense of fear. And we can't wait to play/rate everyone's games!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T00:40:03Z

@logan Thank you- that means a lot! Poor mushroom man might have bitten off more than he could chew (pun intended) when he ate that first little mushling. Maybe it's justice for the mushlings, though?

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T00:42:33Z

@justinmullin Thank you so much! We're so glad to hear that we invoked that 'descent into insanity' lol. Definitely would like to fix up that glitch in a post-jam patch- thanks for bringing it up!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T06:23:41Z

@peace-of-cake-games Hey, good to see you again- Hope LD48 went well for you! And thank you! Honestly, we can't blame you for rooting for the monster after what the mushroom man has done. Poor baby shrooms...

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T11:49:10Z

@chtimy Thank you!! There isn't a true ending - the only way for the game to end is for our poor mushroom man to be torn apart. There are 5 biomes though, so there's more content to discover as you delve deeper!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T11:50:31Z

@elektroney We don't hate you, but the giant abomination with arms for facial hair might think differently. Thanks!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T11:52:51Z

@majadroid Thanks! The slow digging was definitely a goal to add to the horror of the chase lol. We're glad to hear you liked the animations!

@2rek Thank you thank you! Glad to hear it!

@rick2112 That means a lot, thank you!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T18:29:47Z

@microchasm Thank you! Disturbing was the goal, so we're glad to hear it worked for you. When it comes to more items to collect, we wanted to keep the scope of the game realistic for the jam, but we do have ideas for more content if we ever expand it! Also, automatic digging is an interesting concept, but ultimately we feel there are more tactics to be had when the digging is manual. We'll keep in mind the hitbox as well! Thank you very much for the feedback, we appreciate all the thought put into helping us make this game better!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T18:31:41Z

@tryston Thanks! We agree that there is potential for different items and content, and love the idea of expanding on this game some day!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T18:46:42Z

@hippolytea We agree that our sound designer did amazing work! We understand that 'Studio' is a scary word, but to clarify, we are an indie game team made up of only 2 members (we had 2 more friends join us for SFX/Music and Voice Acting on this game jam!) :)

Thank you for the good luck!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T18:50:05Z

@kaihyo We appreciate the feedback very much! We also agree that more varying sounds for different blocks would have been a nice addition.

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T19:09:33Z

@tyreyes32 It truly is gratifying to see your list of feedback. Tutorializing the cutscene was almost accidental, but we're glad it worked out that way!

There are 5 'biomes' total- 123 layers deep being at around the 4th one. Although the 5th biome doesn't add new content, its a terrible amalgamation of all of the ones above!

Sporelunk by Brainloaf Studio 2021-04-28T20:51:22Z

@mvasko2 Thank you!! That glitch is indeed a pesky one, we hope to fix it up soon in a post-jam patch! We're also not sure how much you played, but there are 5 different environmental biomes that appear the father down you dig to add some variation with tile types. We appreciate the feedback a lot!

@sakura-magika Thank you for the awesome feedback! We also thought about adding a speed powerup like that, but ultimately had too many other things going on to properly rebalance the game around such a major addition. It's something we think is very possible to add in a post-jam update though! Those edge cases are indeed pesky too, and something else to fix for sure. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the game though, we appreciate the comment!

@eximir That means a lot! That's definitely a pesky bug, but we'd like to fix it in a post-jam patch!

@ddrkirbyisq Woah, that's pretty deep! Glad you liked the concept!

@mhorth Thank you! That's definitely something we'd like to make clearer in a post-jam patch - we agree that it can hard to tell what's breakable or not at the moment. Appreciate the feedback!

@quetzakol We appreciate the compliments! We are aware of both of the issues you pointed out and would love to incorporate those fixes into a possible post-jam update.

MC Hammeron and the Passage to FUNK by Si WToSL 2021-04-28T07:28:40Z

Art: Stylish. Music: Funky. Gameplay: Smooth. I have become the master of the neutral poke. Another masterwork by shit wasp.

Mycelisation by bereg 2021-04-30T09:59:58Z

Very interesting concept. My second run had me completely walled in at the start and I lost instantly, but my third run made up for it and I won the game! Beautiful graphics & sound design!

Deep Diver by LelulaGames 2021-04-28T09:42:38Z

Wooh, that anglerfish almost got me! Fun game, and cool procedural generation. It'd be nice to see how many coins you've collected somewhere. Nice job!

A Taste of the Past by Emily Pitcher 2021-04-28T08:27:18Z

Wow, what a delightful, bittersweet game. The way you approach loss in the story - especially through assembling a dish throughout the game - is really, really touching. I appreciate the level of polish too - the art and music is beautiful, and the writing struck a chord with me. Really, really wonderful job.

Into the DEEP by Alex the Bear 2021-04-29T08:07:24Z

The flamingo dude dude is a legend. Really like the art style overall, and timing your presses to the (funky) music is a cool mechanic. Managed to get the giant treasure chest- nice job!

Aftermath by Peace Of Cake Games 2021-04-28T08:08:35Z

Very creative take on the theme! Finding all of the endings was fun - I got the bad ending first, immediatly followed by the good ending, so that was a bit of whiplash lol. I like the frantic look for the font as well, I think it adds to the feeling of vengeance. My only main suggestion would be to maybe add an input to advance text instead of having to wait, since you watch the opening scene multiple times when ending-hunting. Nice work!

Oceanwork by Warrrkus 2021-04-30T01:33:40Z

Love the gameplay loop - it's so addicting! I appreciate how you had the ores jump such insane value, it really incentivized going deeper and not sticking to what you're used to. Going on a huge run of new ores and then cashing it all in at the shop is so satisfying. My only gripe was the fish, I wish there was a way to lose them or scare them off at the shop. It was basically game over to my run once one spotted me, which felt kinda bad if one showed up right when I swam all the way to my destination 100+ meters down. Love the art style too - really well done.

Thrice Upon A Time by sakura_magika 2021-04-29T07:52:14Z

Ooh I like this concept a lot! Very unique take on the theme- it was fun seeing the stories of each generation. It was also fun noticing how their designs evolved between their younger & older versions (and how their color schemes stayed the same). Nice work!

Water Water Everywhere by Yuoh 2021-04-30T02:34:55Z

Unfortunately I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing here. I restarted the game maybe 5 times, and was able to either get the objects off screen by throwing them or to get them to explode, but nothing happened after that.

Awfully Good Pizza by beahives 2021-04-28T12:02:25Z

Absolutely beautiful. Art in its most pizza-like form. Big fan of Hommer Lemonhead. Well done. Now if you'll excuse me, I have more pizza to ruin.

Kerene by jabsatz 2021-04-28T08:43:15Z

Nice game! I'm a fan of the different weapons and how you've designed the level to emphasize swapping between them, rather than just sticking to the one you like. I also like how the music changes as you progress - dropping down the first pit and being greeted by all of the enemies and the music was a great surprise!

Hammer It In! by audioBusting 2021-04-30T01:52:46Z

Unique take on the theme, I like it! I enjoyed discovering the differing layers and seeing what was coming next. The main gameplay loop did get a bit stale after I while, but I'm sure there's some speed strategies I don't know about. Nice work!

Low Notes by mhorth 2021-04-30T00:57:27Z

Jamming out to Megalovania was a lot of fun lol. I like how your interpretation of the theme means you can really *hear* how well you're doing. Doing worse feels worse, and playing on time means you get to hear the clearest version of the song. Very clever - nice job!

Phantas-matcha by CharlineF 2021-04-28T10:48:46Z

Ooh I really love the idea here! The art is also great - really like the character designs. I agree with Maximilian above, I'd love to mix and match tea ingredients as well! This was nice though, nice work!

IO - LudumDare 48 by Andrea Barbani 2021-04-30T02:21:44Z

Nice! I had fun with the movement mechanics, the controls took a little bit to get used to (especially the dash) but once I got a hang of it it was cool to see how fast I could speedrun the levels. I wasn't too much of a fan of having to repeat the same sections four times, but I get that this might have been part of your interpretation of the theme. Nice job!

Pigs War by sharkmax218 2021-04-30T10:19:29Z

Loved the character designs, but was really roped in by the intro showing alien pigs gunned down by a communist.

Nestence by guimm12 2021-04-30T10:08:45Z

Loved the aesthetic, and the realization of how this game fits the theme. One of my favorites so far.

Roots game by BoClow 2021-04-28T08:54:25Z

The zoomout at the end is really cool! I'm a big fan of how the root system generates (I couldn't help but spam the space bar), and it works really well as a zen experience. Well done!

The Deeper The Deadlier by EPU 2021-04-29T07:44:08Z

I like the different weapons, and the concept is fun! However, I was never able to make it very far due to how fast the enemies can instantly drain your health - I went from 100% HP to dead in less than a second twice. I'd suggest simply having to restart the level instead of the whole game. I had a fun time, though!

The purpose of a worm by Eximir 2021-04-30T02:45:34Z

This would totally work as a children's story! The art is also really nice - I liked the handcrafted level design and platforming. I did notice the audio was a little glitchy, but it wasn't a huge issue or anything. Nice work!

Condemned by JackBad 2021-04-30T02:29:05Z

Nice game! I like the low-res aesthetic, and it's fun to mow the skeletons down. However, I wasn't able to make it very far for a few reasons. I think it's mostly up to stamina and hit range - I was rarely ever able to attack due to the large stamina requirements, and even when I did attack it felt like my hits only landed maybe half the time. The only surefire way I found to land a hit was to get super close to the enemies, which caused me to take damage in turn. This is also a personal preference, but the amount of head bob kinda made my head hurt unfortunately. I think this has potential though, and I had fun with the content I was able to make it to - nice job!

Plague by Advay 2021-04-30T00:51:46Z

Nice idea here! I definitely think there could be a few more levels, possibly with some viruses alreay starting at a "deeper" level of infection? I never ended up seeing more than the first stage of infection unfortunately, as I was able to blast them all away fast enough. Fun as an aim trainer though, nice job with that!

Hikari’s Journey 光の旅 — the umbral world by Junber 2021-10-06T22:37:50Z

Wow, this was amazing! I loved all of the different styles of gameplay, and was very surprised upon getting to the block-pushing (so many different mechanics just in this one section!), the 3d-top-down exploration and the 3d-first-person exploration. The story also feels really well done and is written very well. I liked being able to click through the words to expand the Hikari's thoughts. The art and music meld really well too. Nothing else to really say - this is such a polished experience, super well done!

Bling! by kuro 2021-10-06T06:27:29Z

First off, the UI and effects do indeed look really nice! I particularly enjoyed the dashing/attacking animations, and the cards looked really satisfied when in play. I can see this improving a lot with tweaks and further development, like it seems you're planning! (PS The background music is a jam)

Theory by agentparsec 2021-10-06T08:02:46Z

Really nice game! I liked the audio cues both on being captured and becoming 'unstable' in ghost form. The opening cutscene and art in general was nice too! Cool usage of stealth mechanics - overall great work!

Cursed Duality by harusame 2021-10-06T04:44:40Z

Wow, this is a really clever idea! I love the dynamic of having two games on screen at once, and having them interact so fluidly. I'm not great at match-3 games, but I still had a lot of fun with this one. Great work!

YuraYura! - Tidying up the tilting tower! by Cornflowerblue 2021-10-06T03:13:54Z

Absolutely amazing! Feels like it could be a full game, honestly! The graphics, music, and gameplay all combine super well. I love how each level explores a new idea - reminds me a bit of Nintendo's design philosphy with stages. The polish is just through the roof - extremely, super well done!

Tall Order by Timothy 2021-10-06T04:41:04Z

Fun idea! The progression is cool, I like how it isn't just a straight path but open for adjustment based on how the player wants to progress. The sprites are also pretty adorable. One suggestion I'd have is to be able to see orders off screen - maybe with a pointer or something of the sort? I had a lot of fun though, nice work!

Interstellar Highway Robbery by Corny 2021-10-06T10:37:37Z

Super fun game! I love the visual style, and the gameplay of jumping from ship to ship is so frantic (in a good way). The first person animations are also so nice looking, especially the hacking. I did spawn in a crate a few times after jumping between ships, but it was just a minor issue. Great job overall!

Cynthia and the Forest Restaurant by CloudLunar 2021-10-06T05:06:58Z

Wow, I loved the mood and RPG-like mechanics in this! I've completed one playthrough but I feel like I've just scratched the surface, considering there's a whole quality system and seemingly many mission dishes. The art and music is also really nice. I would play an expanded version of this game - well done!

Tower of Idols by simex 2021-10-12T22:03:29Z

Nice - a really solid gameplay loop with constant new additions, I like it! It's fun having to work with the random pattern of the debris to protect your civilians (or destroy bandits), and I'm a big fan of the shield as well (it saved me so many times!). I think the overall aesthetic works really well for the idea, and the application of the theme is really clever. Great job!

Larry's Whacky Alchemy Lab by Tiberiusuciu 2021-10-06T06:11:49Z

Nice concept and execution! It took a little bit to figure out what I was doing, but once I got the hang of it I was rushing around the lab like an old pro! I love the concept of stacking effects on the player for the sake of fixing the machine. Some of the effects are pretty fun too, like the control-swapping one. Nice job!

Drilbert II Diggeredoo by wheybags 2021-10-12T21:43:00Z

Wow, this has to be one of my favorite entries so far! I really love the gameplay and unique control scheme along with the puzzle design. Having to figure out the optimal way to carve out the tiles was really fun and totally conveys the jam's theme. The music and graphics mesh well together too, the player art is really charming. Really great job!

Unstable Signal by bbaf 2021-10-12T21:15:57Z

I really like the visual effect! Really tough game though, I could rarely get past the first few sections haha. I think the biggest thing that kept getting me killed was the lack of much air-control - when I was falling I felt that I was unable to adjust my position or momentum nearly at all. I like the motivational text telling me not to give up though, and the idea is fun. Nice entry!

You Can Not Start This Game by PartTimeIndie 2021-10-06T10:18:27Z

Absolutely loved how self-referencial this game is to the whole game jam development process, and to playing it in general. Totally hilarious, especially the monologues. I unfortunately did get a bug where the game crashed when the folder automatically opened. What a fun idea though, well done!

You Can Not Start This Game by PartTimeIndie 2021-10-06T10:38:22Z

@parttimeindie It's all good, I still had a fun time!

Crumbling Mind by NoeTheLazyDev 2021-10-06T23:22:44Z

Really great visual style and music, they add to the mood really well! The gameplay effects are interesting and add a nice sense of panic, though I felt like they could be a bit random and unforgiving at times. The level design is nice and I like how fluid the whole thing feels. Nice work!

Agnosia by Ziamor 2021-10-06T04:09:53Z

Really unique gameplay - loved how jumbled and disorienting the experience feels with the constantly shifting rooms. The map system took a bit to discover but once I did, it made it easier to get the rooms I wanted to appear. Very well done!

Wobbly WiFi by finbobby123 2021-10-06T23:12:04Z

Unique concept, but I was never able to make it past around a minute in because every object seemingly needed different tools at the same time! I like the art and music though, and it'd be cool to see this expanded on for sure!

Bearly Stable by Nobleboy 2021-10-12T20:53:22Z

What a ridicuolously hilarious idea, I love it. I really like how chaotic things get, with the music escalating and the elephant frantically spinning all over the place. Also shoutout to the bear puns and the weight-gaining visual effect on the bear. Really nice work and application of the theme!

The Town of Clarity by IvanPavlov 2021-10-06T02:52:40Z

I honestly really like the art style! The ending was also very unexpected - I genuinely didn't think it would go that way. Clever use of the eye contacts, though I wish it was used more often. I felt the movement speed was pretty low as well, but I had a good time! Nice work!

Shaking In Your Bridges by Thulium Games 2021-10-06T23:05:14Z

Fun game! Took me a second to figure out that I could fly, that sure made things a lot easier. I like the gradual difficulty curve and the arriving trucks add a nice bit of flair (appreciated the money). Well done!

NEKONOVA'S NOT HOME by LeYamez 2021-10-07T01:21:05Z

Woah, I love the style of this game! The spawn animation is awesome, along with the music and sound design (like the losing sfx). It took a little bit to get used to the orbiting mechanics but once I did I started having a lot of fun with it. My scores remained pretty low but I had a good time! Well done!

One Life, Two Unstable Suns by sillyman987 2021-10-06T23:46:27Z

You've already stated how this is unfinished, so I'll focus on the pros: the main character looks like a beast. His moving frame is beautiful. And submitting any game with three seconds left is a feat. For those things, you should be proud.

Divine Intervention by YogurtTheHorse 2021-10-06T05:23:28Z

Really fun idea! I love the frantic gameplay of trying to juggle 3-4 tasks at a time, and memorizing the keys that corresponded with everything. Having the entire game be functionally located on a tiny in-game monitor is also a fun touch, and I really like the entire aesthetic. Very well done!

Wilson's Lab by Nebrazif 2021-10-06T10:24:30Z

Really fun puzzles with a unique mechanic, nice! I also love the sound design, especially the victory noise. The animations and 'looking through a camera' look was done super well too. Great work!

A Solar Disorder by lovetocode999 2021-10-12T21:34:09Z

A simple but fun game, nice! I wasn't ever able to make it very far (usually ended up flinging myself right into the sun) but I like the idea of your own projectiles causing knockback. The sound design is simple but works well too, it feels like a classic arcade game. Nice work!

Piles - Pile it up by Mordrick 2021-10-06T02:45:18Z

Really fun and challenging! I had a lot of fun developing different strategies as I played - figuring out what objects were the easiest to stack, which order to stack them, etc. I thought the breaking objects were annoying at first, but quickly learned how to use it to my advantage, especially in the level where you're taught to use that mechanic. Really great job!

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-06T03:27:15Z

@siorc Glad you enjoyed!

@mordrick Thank you so much! We're glad the differing scenes caught you by surprise - that was definitely the goal!

@the-lame-brain Your confusion means our job is complete. Thank you so much!

@chillertyp All will be revealed in-game... We encourage you to play it if you'd like to discover why!

@jpatchz Bold of you to assume we didn't go insane! We're pretty sure we lost our minds, honestly. Thank you so much!

@jk5000 Thank you! We tried to go with some pretty crazy twists, but they can't land for everyone. Appreciate the feedback re: gameplay as well!

@guinytime We had joked about people thinking the first genre shift was a bug, so it's hilarious to hear that actually ended up being the case. Thank you so much for the feedback!

@achila-eranga-mohottige I'm not sure we even know the answer to that. Thanks for playing!

@bgdc @Junber We definitely could have made that final puzzle a bit clearer and cleaned up a few aspects of it, we agree! But having it be disorienting was definitely a goal too. Thank you so much for the feedback!

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-07T18:45:35Z

@coelakan @eoshadows @zhanna @scalphamission Thank you so much! It means a lot to hear you enjoy the game, we're so glad!

@ryjcio Try to form a specific shape by assembling the bread pieces in the grid! (Hint: it's circular and has a hole in the middle)

@goddoesplaydice We're so glad to hear you enjoyed! Our amazing voice actors have links on the game's download page, and also have credits in-game if you wanna check them out!

@muros Thank you so much! We're glad to hear you had a good time. That's understandable, though the slightly unwieldy car was partially a design choice because we wanted the transition to feel all the more chaotic and uncontrollable (unstable, if you will). Appreciate the feedback!

@josher We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the game and the humor! For the theme our base idea was "unstable genre," so that's why the game's genre is constantly shifting. We also decided to throw in an extra "unstable" with the character's mindset during the final minigame. Thank you for playing and the feedback!

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-08T19:33:10Z

@staticbits @kwiper @kristoph Thank you so much for playing! It means a lot to hear that you enjoyed!

@flogames If you're feeling unstable after playing, then that's a success in our books. Thanks you!

@peace-of-cake-games Building a reputation for confusing games, are we? Honestly, we're glad to hear it! Thanks a ton for playing and for the kind words!

@der-mondhase Don't you mean holy *cat* on a motorcycle? (get it? because there's a cat on a motorcycle in the game. haha-) Thank you so much!

@mrchippy @daniel-eduardo-martinez @chairshot-games @cinderblock Thank you so much! We're super glad you enjoyed the game and appreciate the kind words!

@peace-of-cake-games We'll definitely be taking part - see you there!

@proxy-games That's a very accurate description, looking back on how the game goes. Super glad you enjoyed and appreciate hearing your thoughts - thank you!

@papabirb Wow, thanks for sharing your thoughts on each part of the game - it's great to hear! We definitely could have made the bread puzzle a bit clearer (in the post-jam version there's an audio cue when you place a piece correctly), and adding a skip or fast-forward to the noir dialogue is a great idea. Sorry to hear you had a glitch with fullscreen, in the post-jam version we've added a way to toggle fullscreen with the F key but unfotunately missed that in the jam version. I'm a bit curious what would have happened if we'd caught you later into your endeavour, gotta wonder how that would have gone. Thanks a ton for the feedback and comment!

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-09T20:21:55Z

@gord10ahmet Thank you so much! I had a feeling the puzzle at the end might be too confusing without more cues, so I'm glad the post-jam version fixed that up. Appreciate the feedback!

@hadik Thank you for the feedback! If you're up to go into more detail, could we ask what you weren't a fan of with the audio? We definitely felt like we tried our hardest on the audio this time around after working with five voice actors, producing around six original music tracks, and implementing sfx as well. If you could give us your thoughts on what we could do better in this regard, please let us know! The theme we decided to go with was "unstable genre," so that's why the genre shifts around constantly and at random! We also threw in an extra reference to the theme with our character's "unstable" mindset at the end of the game. Thanks for playing!

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-09T20:45:47Z

@papabirb Oh boy, maybe it's a good thing you found the game early-on then! Hope the rest of your endevaour went well.

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-10T19:22:48Z

@sli We're so glad to hear it! Thank you for playing!

@sakura-magika Wow, that is seriously the highest compliment we can recieve, thank you so much! It means so much to hear you enjoyed the game and that it affected you like that. Though we hope you don't correlate donuts with insane people from now on. Thank you for the immensely kind words!

@nikiprotiv We're super glad you enjoyed the voice work! We can't thank our voice actors enough for their talent and flexibility to work within the three-day timeframe. Thanks for playing!

@j-star That means so much to hear! We're so glad that everything landed. Thank you for playing!

@jackaljk Appreciate the feedback! We definitely agree that the final puzzle is the most confusing and least-straightforward, we would have liked to make it a bit more clear in the jam version if it wasn't for those pesky time constraints. We're glad it still worked out though, and especially that you enjoyed - thank you for playing!

@lazzor ...Did the artifact ever really exist? What is reality...? (Seriously though, thank you for playing! We're glad to hear you enjoyed!)

@pat-cleaver Super glad to hear you enjoyed, thank you for the kind words! That's a great point, we'll add a changelog to the page to clear that up. Appreciate the suggestion!

@animawish Thank you so much! We're so glad you enjoyed!

@maxthedoom Woah, that means so much to hear! We're truly honored to have our game deemed a mastahpiece!

@skvader-418 That means a ton! I tried making the driving controls a bit unwieldy, but I think I might have gone a bit too far with that haha. Thank you for playing and for the comment!

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-18T05:12:43Z

@wheybags That's awesome to hear, thanks for playing! Cooking Papa appreciates you!

@xpoho Это действительно так. Спасибо за игру!

@itzemii Thank you!

@kuro Alley cat adores you too. Glad to hear the confusion resonated with you - thanks for playing!

@anchorlight Thank you so much! We just checked out your corresponding feed post and it's really an honor to be highlighted as your best overall for this jam, seriously. It means a ton to hear you enjoyed the game, and we appreciate you sending it around as well!

@knipsch Thank you, that means a lot to hear! And uh, best not to think about that too much...

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-20T20:17:18Z

@dgspitzer @paulhocker @coolestdoggie @thefatgalaboo @cdunham We're so super glad to hear you enjoyed the game! Thank you so much for playing!

@dreamerflow Thank you! (Here's a hint: The shape is circular and has a hole in the middle...)

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-22T10:33:33Z

@anchorlight @dgspitzer Thank you both so much! Your support during the jam and now means a ton. We seriously can't believe the results - major congrats to both of you as well for extremely rad entries! Hope to see you again soon for LD50!

Unidentified Stacking Object by Arttu Halonen 2021-10-06T04:26:35Z

Simple but fun, and very polished - I like it! I also wanna call out the tractor beam sound effect, it's really satisfying to me for some reason. I couldn't make it very far - always ended up knocking over my own tower, but I still had fun on the way. Nice work!

loop by peterfiftyfour 2021-10-06T10:48:37Z

What an immaculate vibe this game has. I love the visual aesthetic, music, and the SFX - they all work so well together! It's also a really fun idea, and building taller and taller is pretty fun. Great work here!

Shockwave Surfer by Tom Kun 2021-10-06T23:41:03Z

The visual effect of the shockwave flying out looks really cool! The idea of having the controls swap around is also fun, though it does make the game extremely difficult. The art and music definitely add to that frantic feeling as well. Nice job!

Rolling Home by memoryFloater 2021-10-06T23:35:48Z

What an adorable game! I loved having to manage multiple Sleems at once, and having them work together as every tilt brought the lava closer and closer. I like how cute the art style is too. I do wish there was a win screen for the poor Sleems to finally escape the lava, though. Great work!

Cursed Cauldron of Calamity by Elias Manzaneda 2021-10-06T06:01:20Z

Love the concept behind this game and the art for the ingredients. I especially love how the sanguine potion is literally shaped like a heart. It's pretty fun trying to frantically scan the ingredient list as the time ticks down. Also: I initially didn't notice Francois in the game (too focused on potion-making, I suppose), saw the screenshot when I closed the game, reopened the game, and found Francois. Perfect. Nice job!

icnaw by beeguy 2021-10-06T23:51:46Z

I'm not entirely sure what I just played, but the tts voices and glitchy effects were rad. I also like the enemy variety and just how screwed up things start getting once you hit around 130 seconds. Nice one!

Deathrail by Hotowlgirls 2021-10-06T22:47:08Z

Fun, simple gameplay, deceptively hard! I like how stylishly the graphics pair with the music. It's fun but difficult trying to balance three different control sets at the same time (board balance, vertical jumping, and swapping rails). It certainly fits the theme, I like it! Well done!

Potion Commotion by Frozendoze 2021-10-07T00:04:42Z

Fantastic gameplay, super polished too! I really love the mechanics of propelling yourself and discovering new techniques like wall-jumping and wall-launching. It's all intuitive once you get the hang of it. Also a big fan of the art style and the music, it all goes really well together. Great work!

....To the Ends of the World and Back by Peace Of Cake Games 2021-10-07T01:46:07Z

This was a nice experience to play! I enjoyed watching the characters interact, and the POV cockpit view helps to feel as if you're there. Though one of the stars did fly into my eye a couple times, which was a bit jarring lol. I think the countdowns for the steering and code entering could be reduced a bit to help with the frantic effect, if that's the goal at least - it mostly seemed like a peaceful reading experience, which is cool too! Well done!

Boat History by etrealjunior 2021-10-06T02:59:48Z

Really unique gameplay, I like it! Being able to control the water rather than the boat itself is super clever, and I enjoyed trying to get the boat to float through the air at times to get to objectives. It can be a little unwieldy at times, but I'm guessing that's the point! Well done!

Unstable Ball Game by caiustsm 2021-10-06T22:59:42Z

Nice pinball game with a unique twist! I like how the ball can fly off of the main board, and I also liked finding a secret zone in the upper left that gave me tons of points. It does feel a bit too random at times, but that's sometimes the nature of pinball in general. I liked it, nice work!

Plip-plop! Unstable Conditions of Care by sakura_magika 2021-10-07T01:36:53Z

I love how insane the game gets by the last level! Frantically juggling four tasks is a fun concept, especially when they involve different control inputs (tapping vs holding). The art is cute and I really like the piano-themed sfx. Very nice work!

Psycho-unstable Journey by KenForest 2021-10-07T00:20:48Z

Superb horror experience, really well done. I love the graphics and sound design, not to mention the general aesthethic of the rain-soaked road, gas station, forest, and especially the flying manta rays. I thought the goose's shadow was a monster at first! Great work!

Noinun40 by Itzemii 2021-10-12T21:21:27Z

Woah, I really like the concept of inverting match-3 on its head like this! Very clever! I wasn't able to ever complete a full board without becoming unstable, but it was fun trying to figure out the optimal placements of the elements, and I liked how the included elements differed from game to game. Nice work!

Poverty boy by minidavid 2021-10-06T05:42:52Z

Not exactly sure what I just witnessed, but I enjoyed the experience. Poverty boy forever. Nice.

UKI by Shea Kelly 2021-10-12T21:09:47Z

I like the idea of a boss rush and the presentation is nice! However, I wasn't able to get very far as it seems I died in only two hits (maybe I need to work on my skills a bit lol). Though it seems like you're working hard on getting glitches fixed up, I appreciate it! Nice work for a first game!

Elusive Glow by MishaNiks 2021-10-07T01:14:47Z

Ooh, clever take on the theme! Like others have said the gameplay feels like it could definitely be more complex, but I enjoyed the concept behind the game. The art is also nice, especially on the main menu and the background reactor! Well done!

Sketchy Spelunking by lukeoco1234 2021-10-06T05:15:18Z

I'm a sucker for mining-based and progression-based games, so this was a lot of fun! For your first game outside of snake this is really, really impressive! My only suggestions would be to lower the shop requirements and up the speed of the boulders falling, since both feel relatively slow-based. Nice job overall!

Shroom Dood : the misfortune of the staff by ULDO 2021-10-12T21:29:16Z

Very nice atmosphere and gameplay! I like the idea of having to telekinetically move objects in order to make your own platforms, it's very clever. I wasn't really sure what the two bars on the wand meant after starting out, but it was a fun time overall! Great work!

绝地天通(Babel Blocks) by ELITTK 2021-10-06T10:43:57Z

Building your structure and then watching how the disaster affects it is really fun! Took a little bit to figure out how to play, but it all made sense pretty quickly. I especially like how unique the disasters are, like the tractor beam. Having different avaliability of building materials every round also makes things interesting. Nice work!

HELP HATE IS EVERYWHERE. CANT STOP IT GOD by ashikurofuto 2021-10-06T03:05:40Z

The visual style on this game is immaculate. I love it. However, I was a little confused by where to go in-game and it seems like my weapon only really did anything when I was pushed into a wall. I'd like to see this built upon for sure! Nice work!

HELP HATE IS EVERYWHERE. CANT STOP IT GOD by ashikurofuto 2021-10-06T03:57:07Z

@rainbowdied That's totally understandable, keeping sane during those three days is one of the hardest parts! And thank you, wishing you luck on a future release!

Angry Ape by orangutanrider 2021-10-06T05:34:32Z

Simply an immaculate game. Sound effects, art style, and gameplay are perfect to the touch. Nothing else to say. Just beautiful

Shines Quest by Lingpai 2021-10-06T10:53:41Z

Simple but fun! The art and animations are nice, and I like the music too - the game has a nice overall feeling to it. It can feel a bit hard at times though, especially with how the disappearing platforms don't reappear until restarting the level. Overall though - nice job!

Unstabrick Maze by Moonblast 2021-10-06T05:28:05Z

I like the voxel graphics! Being able to dig your way through a level is a fun concept, as is the randomly reappearing tiles, and enemies. Sometimes the randomness can feel unfair though, since enemies defeat you in one hit. I had fun though, and I really like the overall aesthetic and rapid feel of the game. Well done!

Turrim by Proxy-Games 2021-10-06T10:29:31Z

Fun idea and polished mechanics! I was never able to go too high since I always ended up sabotaging my own tower, whoops. The visual aesthetic is also pretty rad. Nice work!

Default cube game by Dreamerflow 2021-10-12T21:02:31Z

Hey, I made it to the end! It's a nice short platformer, the gameplay was simple but fun. I would have liked to have seen a bit more variety in the obstacles and graphics, but the default cube theme is really unique and I had a good time. Nice work!

MEATFEST by DeadSunset 2021-10-06T08:15:59Z

I like the graphics! Unfortunately I was not able to figure out how to make an order. I got an order for two potatoes and placed two on the table but nothing happened, so I added another and nothing happened still. Then I stopped being able to drag any ingredients around. I'm not sure if this is a bug, but the style looks nice!

Rocket Goblin by LittleBeardMan 2021-10-06T05:38:03Z

A simple concept but really well done execution. The spritework really sells it! It's also rad how this turns the typical 'runner' genre on its head by having you *want* to slow down, rather than constantly speed up. Keeping that balance is fun. Nice work!

Pogo Man by sawdust 2021-10-06T05:51:57Z

Nice game! It's always impressive when satisfying puzzle levels are designed in such a short timeframe! The pixel art is also very cute, I like it. The experience is very solid overall, nice job!

I can't remember by chesiq 2021-10-07T00:27:11Z

Wow, that floating ghost thing totally got me good! The idea of your 'health' being tied to looking at horrible things is pretty cool. The overall aestethic is nice, and along with the glitch effects it completes the mood well. I think the sensitivity was a little too high, but it wasn't game-breaking or anything. Well done!

Diamonds in the Rough by animawish 2021-10-06T04:21:09Z

Super creative gameplay! Trying to develop strategies around the snakes, bombs, and magnifying glasses is really interesting, and I also love the variety in gamemodes. Really well done!

UNSTAYABLE by shmador 2021-10-12T21:51:48Z

Really love the atmosphere here! The audio design is really simple but effective - that beeping really adds to the atmosphere, especially when the entity is getting close. I think the movement speed could be a little faster, or maybe the map a little smaller, but the difficulty definitely adds to the horror at the same time. Nice visual style too. Really nice work!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

LocoMoon by icxon 2022-10-08T00:27:11Z

Big fan of the concept here! I like how more colors and differing orders for the cars are introduced as the waves progress- I had quite the convulated setup when things got pretty complex. Plenty of cars exploded. Shoutout to the space giraffes in back. Very nice work!

Missdemanor by alaah 2022-10-06T03:17:05Z

Really cool concept! At first I thought the other cloaked figures were friends, before realizing what I had to do- am I the villain? Having the necklace act both as an attack and a detriment is definitely a unique idea, I like it a lot. I do feel like the targeting on the enemies can get a little precise at times; sometimes I'd be next to one of them and try focusing to use the lightning, and it'd still hit me instead. Outside of that though, I really like the idea! Well done!

TenReaper by digitaldude555 2022-10-06T00:30:31Z

Nice, simple gameplay! It's oddly addicting bouncing off of enemies, and I like the inclusion of the star enemies to add a bit of variety. Though I feel like once you master the art of slinging upwards it gets a tad easy, and it'd be cool to see more enemy types, it's definitely still a fun time. Nice work!

Growth Spurt by Cole and Jordan Studios 2022-10-20T20:20:24Z

now i am become death, destroyer of trees.

as someone above mentioned, this has the beautiful charm of garry's mod. big fan of the exploding neck physics and the spacex sponsorship!

Watch Out by 100th_Coin 2022-10-06T03:06:11Z

Absolutely loved this game! The humor here is great- the acapella is simply music to my little ears. Having the stopwatch animate on the playable character's actual sprite is a great touch, and overall the whole project seems really polished. My only real qualm would be the reliance on memorization in the second-to-last level, maybe my brain isn't big enough but I'd get to a platform and be like "wait, do I need to go forwards, or backwards in time, here? Crap..." and almost always choose wrong. Maybe that's more on me than anything though lol. The whole thing is just totally charming though, super well done!

SKLOP by Beefsock 2022-10-06T21:42:19Z

Very rad interactive experience. My favorite of the elements is definitely the "raining" tile- wish more than one would be able to appear! Nice work here.

The Forgotten Crawler by wolderado 2022-10-08T00:48:01Z

What a cool concept! I really like the way the glitches remove walls and such, and how it actually helps in a few places by being able to see into adjacent areas. The dialogue is pretty great, I appreciate that the game pauses when you talk. I definitely got a bit lost near the end but overall this was a very fun time. Nice work!

RED RINK by Simon Rahnasto 2022-10-06T01:42:04Z

Wow, I love absolutely everything about this! The spritework is awesome, and I'm such a sucker for the inclusion of voice acting like this. The theme is fun, loved trying to make strategic plays to explode the enemy team, and pass to teammates in the nick of time. I did discover a pretty overpowered path later on, but to me that doesn't really diminish the level of polish and quality overall here. Super well done!

Turbo City Golf Club by tenshi42 2022-10-05T23:42:11Z

Fun concept! I immediately slammed the golf ball through the window of a building and the mad dash to get inside was pretty funny. My top time ended up being around 40 seconds. The music definitely fits the chaotic action. I think it would have been cool to apply the theme in some way, but I see you opted out of that category. Nice!

DODGE! CATCH! DESTROY! by Solah 2022-10-06T20:47:09Z

Fun game and concept! I like how the music changes between the different modes, and how the mechanics shift between each as well. Having the timer be represented on the player sprite is a nice touch too. It would be cool to see more minigames, but I like how chaotic the game already gets, especially during the DODGE! section. Nice work!

Stella Brown and the Curse of the Grocery Witch by Iamsodarncool 2022-10-06T03:54:02Z

Incredible game- loved every *second*! I'm such a sucker for voice acting, and I love that you have an entire storyline here; that "good ending" is hilariously beautiful. The way the music shifts between the mortal realm and whatever-the-hell-that-other-place-is is awesome, not to mention the art being stylized in such a cool way. Huge props all the way through, this was awesome!

10 Seconds to Heaven by Mcnuttys 2022-10-06T02:40:39Z

Cool concept! I like how hectic it feels trying to position the boxes and save the blue victims, and the increasingly fast grenade beep really adds to that feeling. I do think the pushing can get a little finicky here and there, but it also adds to the chaotic factor. It'd be interesting to see more levels with multiple grenades in sequence so the "every" part of the theme is utilized a bit more. It's a fun time overall though, nice work!

Love is Legal: Speed Dating For Criminals by Krasimir Balchev 2022-10-08T00:39:15Z

Cool concept! I love the art and portraits here, they're super expressive. Figuring out what each character likes was a bit confusing at first, but after a loss I started getting the hang of it- it's pretty fun! Really enjoyed this entry, well done!

The Hardly Fair by pegasys 2022-10-06T22:50:04Z

I love the voice growling orders in your ear lol. I like the concept of having multiple minigames to swap between, each plays well and it's cool how many of them are pretty unique from eachother. I do wish there was a little bit of a difficulty curve and things sped up or got harder over time, but I enjoyed the minigames on their own merit too. Well done!

Old Man VS. The Internet by upcharlie 2022-10-06T01:27:40Z

Truly an experience. Running at 15fps on my beast of a laptop. I somehow managed to survive for one minute, but was wiped out by an onslaught of what I can only assume is Mr Krabs. My life is changed forever.

Binaria by jordantanner 2022-10-06T20:42:14Z

Cool concept, and I love the art! Navigating the maze-like map is pretty interesting, and it's oddly satisfying to group up and bunch of enemies in the light world then take them all out in the dark world. I even found a secret area! I do agree with others that I wish there was more to do in the light world, or more enemy types, but it's already fun and I really like the mood here. Well done!

Waves by RiptideStudio 2022-10-06T03:41:53Z

Absolutely love the atmosphere here! The music in combination with the visual style works wonders- it's all at once calming and somewhat haunting. I found myself getting lost more than a few times (my sense of direction is not great), but persisted and really, really enjoyed the experience. It's a simple idea, but done very well. Really great work!

Escape the Breach by OwlyCode 2022-10-05T23:24:02Z

Fun take on the theme! The animation of the dimensional flare is great. It's fun reacting to each of the changes, though I definitely enjoyed the more crazy changes like the meteor shower, robot, and inverted screen vs. the pallette swaps. I unfortunately lost my farthest run when a meteor spawned on top of me right as it swapped- not sure if there's an easy fix to that, though! Well done overall!

That Which Catches Your Eye by DecadeDecaf 2022-10-06T22:03:23Z

What a unique concept and storyline- I really like it! The music is great and a real jam, and I like the visual style a lot. It's cool how the gameplay segments are broken up by story, which ties together with those sections. My only small nitpick is how hard it could be to find the last little object sometimes, but I may just need to be more observant! Very nice work!

When The Night Comes by Frogravity 2022-10-06T02:50:09Z

Really unique concept- certainly an interesting take on usual horror themes! Once you figure out the gameplay loop it's pretty fun, if a little easy. I ended up looking more at the minimap than the POV view, though I wouldn't say that's a bad thing outside of missing out on the graphics. Definitely a cool application of the theme, well done!

A Forgotten Pulse by Retrisma 2022-10-08T00:54:00Z

I'm a really big fan of the unique movement mechanics here, climbing on walls and through small gaps is pretty cool. The pixel art and overall mood is also really nice! I do feel like some sections got a bit clunky/frustrating, but to me the unique movement system and platforming concepts mostly makes up for that. Well done!

Potion Panic! by dodori 2022-10-06T22:25:18Z

The potion seller is absolutely beautiful. It's awesome how addicting this game gets- there were a few times where I was close to doom but managed to squeeze out of it just barely thanks to a new potion or two. I do feel like when restarting the early game upgrades increase a little slowly, but if anything that just adds to how crazy things can feel later on. Very fun, well done!

Neon Speed Gauntlet by Empty Set 2022-10-08T01:14:12Z

Cool platforming mechanics! I like the art a lot, and the way the music shifts between levels is a pretty awesome touch. The wall-dash to jump recharge is tricky but is really cool when you do pull it off. I wish there was a way to easily reset a stage, or return to the map (I accidentally jumped into the first portal more than once), but outside of that I didn't run into any issues. Well done!

Curse of the Wereburger by Brainloaf Studio 2022-10-05T21:51:16Z

Thank you all immensely for the kind comments and feedback! We're really glad that the game is landing with so many people. We appreciate the heads-up about some glitches, and hope to get those fixed up for a "final" release. We also would love to add more levels in the future after the jam voting - we didn't have time for too many during the actual jam period.

For a few specific replies: @coye We do plan to have a web version up before too long! @tyrannas You can tap a direction again before the animation is over to skip it and instantly jump to the next tile!

Now it's time for us to go play some games ourselves- Can't wait to check out what everyone has come up with. Please continue leaving feedback if you're feeling inspired, it helps a ton and is very appreciated! May Father Corn bless you, and we hope you have the chance to enjoy a good burger soon.

Curse of the Wereburger by Brainloaf Studio 2022-10-13T21:49:13Z

Thank you all for the wonderful feedback!

@skel3ton Appreciate hearing your thoughts on the animations! They aren't as snappy as they could be since they actually take up a real-time second (or two seconds in the case of entering mud) - it was important to us that we intentionally corresponded with the theme of '10 seconds'! We definitely realized waiting could get annoying, though, hence why we added the option to snap to the next tile.

@frogman @woodmancodes @walaber We appreciate the heads up with regards to quick movement & clarity with enemy attacks - we definitely plan to fix this up for a 'final' version of the game before too long.

We're so happy to hear that our burger game has been fun for fellow jammers. We've seen so much creativity in this jam's entries, and it's always so inspiring. We hope everyone keeps up the awesome work- and thank you so much again for the feedback!

Flash Scrumble by vidim888 2022-10-07T00:01:50Z

Love the personality in the cabbage-catching minigame and the balancing minigame- those two are definitely my favorites! I like how the music changes as well between the different games, and the inclusion of a button to straight-up start at max difficulty is really nice. I agree with others that the card minigame and archery game are a little difficult to understand/control, but outside of that I really appreciate the effort that went into each of these micro-games. Well done!

Monkey Bu$iness by LiquidFunk 2022-10-06T23:51:18Z

Love the concept, and also the sprite for Don Aper- he's beautiful. It's pretty fun keeping your eye on the charts while trying to avoid those dastardly wrenches. The music is also a real jam. I do wish the game got more chaotic with the 10-second event as time went on, though the chart itself is already pretty chaotic by itself. Well done!

Opening Knight by GERD 2022-10-06T22:31:40Z

Wow, I really love this game! The art style is awesome- the main character's face especially in combination with their outfit is hilarious to me for some reason. I like the introduction of spawners and wizard enemies, it certainly spirals out of control pretty quickly if you're not careful (which I was not). I do feel like the aiming of the attack could be a little precise/finnicky at times, but it's managable once you get the hang of it. Shoutout to the opening cinematic too! Nice work!

Enter\space... by Hexela 2022-10-08T00:58:00Z

I really like the art here, and the concept of having to complete multiple bite-sized "minigames" in one ten-second period is pretty unique! It'd be cool to see more minigames added, or a bit more differentiation between each round per minigame, as it gets pretty easy after after a few rounds. Nice work!

10 Seconds Or Less by RTDMFN 2022-10-06T21:00:53Z

Fun concept! Driving around in circles delivering pizza gets oddly addicting, almost rhymthic after a while. I did run into a bug where I ran over the blue area a couple times and nothing happened so I lost, unfortunately. But outside of that, it's a fun time- only wish there was more complexity/levels. Well done!

Alice In Ten Seconds by Golin 2022-10-05T23:35:20Z

Love the creativity here. The theme change from platformer to first person is great, and made even more hilarious when you suddenly are given a weapon. Great subversion of expectations. I also appreciated the generous checkpoint system during the platforming section. My only wish would be for the theme to be more relevant to the gameplay vs. just the story, but it's certainly a fun take on it. Nice work!

Color Copy Cats by carolinewang 2022-10-08T00:18:42Z

Cute little game! I really like Panko's animations, and the art style in general is very pleasing to look at. I'm a fan of the concept with the theme but I do agree with others that I can get a little impatient waiting for the colors to change lol. Overall I like it though, well done!

C'est la fête! by Scratch 2022-10-05T23:16:36Z

Fun game! I like the concept of having to manage more and more guests over time, and it certainly got a bit hectic near the end there trying to juggle everything and keep everyone as happy as possible. I did have a little bit of trouble reading the tutorial font, but I think I essentially figured out the tasks ahah. I got an A+ score at the end, not sure if there's a better ending or not. Very cool!

A Quick Bunny Affair 🥕 by Vidu 2022-10-06T01:54:51Z

Woah, this is such a polished game! I love the art and sound- watching the bunnies pile up was great, and the voices for the babies reminds me of the slimes from Slime Racher in the best way. The pile even got so big for me that I couldn't see the number of carrots required anymore! I do wish there was a bit more complexity to the gameplay, even though it's already hectic. I almost got past 48... one carrot off! Very well done!

Burger Rush by defilerzero 2022-10-08T00:31:43Z

Hey, a fellow entry about burgers! I love how hectic things get, the keyboard combos really mess with your mind. I feel like you could get really, really good at this game and become a keyboard-burger-making-master if you really went for it- a good sign for the difficulty curve I think! Art and music are on point as well. It's a simple concept but I really like the implementation here, nice!

Picking Pumpkins by NikaZ 2022-10-06T23:41:31Z

Nice, I like the art here! The gameplay is simple, but fun at the same time. I also like that you have to swap between three different colored spells vs just having a one-use attack, it adds a bit to the complexity. It definitely got chaotic at points, though I feel it could be a little bit more difficult as I never lost a pumpkin to the monsters. Well done overall!

10 Doujins per Second by steinuil 2022-10-06T20:56:34Z

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing at first, but slowly but surely learned the correlations between the dialogue & items and it became a fun, hectic time! I like a lot of the references here, and the art for the different characters is fun. I do wish there was a way to have more time to look over the boxes of goods beforehand, but that's just a small nitpick- it feels very well put together overall. Nice work!

Moirah's Manor by Tobius 2022-10-06T23:01:13Z

Wow, I love the art and mood here! The creepy tone of the game is really well done- I jumped when I first saw the little girl approaching before I realized she wasn't going to hurt me. It's fun exploring the manor and trying to solve the puzzles, though I do feel like it was difficult to tell what would hurt you or not sometimes without trial and error. I overally really enjoyed this though, awesome work!

Just One More by Chairshot Games 2022-10-06T00:58:03Z

Simple but fun game! I like all of the different movement options, my favorite has to be the air dash for allowing you to speed ahead multiple times. My best record is around 4 seconds with that ability and the cannon as well. I would have liked if there was more levels to try out, but it's already pretty cool. Nice work!

Baby Loader by c4ris 2022-10-08T00:12:11Z

Love the concept here. I found the difficulty curve quite tough at first, but I like it- as you develop strategies of placement, it gets pretty fun! I like how you can slide boxes by releasing them while moving, and the music is a real jam. Nice work!

Sprint10 by Ben Parisi 2022-10-06T22:09:22Z

Very fun game! I like how each level continues from the last in one giant map, and the introduction of the wall-jump tiles then breakable tiles was great, each section feels like it builds from the last. Also shoutout to that dance animation at the end, they're certainly groovin. Not much else to say- simple but well made! Nice work!

Clock Climber by mistercheezymoon 2022-10-08T01:07:51Z

I love the level design here! It was a ton of fun climbing the tower- there are some really tricky sections in there, especially when getting used to how the wall-jumping works, but I appreciated the challenge and clever use of the timer tiles. The art is also pretty charming along with the character's voice. Really well done!

minigames! by thyoi 2022-10-06T21:50:31Z

What a charming little game! I love the wobbly graphical style, and the music/sfx just adds to the overall whimsical mood here, it's so nice. Oddly enough, regardless of how fast paced some of the minigames are, this entry is one that's made me feel the most relaxed. It's comforting in a unique way- Plus the minigame ideas are a lot of fun, very well done!

PolyGone by LabToast 2022-10-06T23:34:44Z

Really like the concept here! The level design is pretty great, I like how it goes hand in hand with the abilities and how on certain stages you start with a limitation already. It was a little confusing at first figuring out how to use the laser to boost yourself upwards, but that's my only real nitpick. Nice work!

Big Irony by karataskn20 2022-10-06T23:56:22Z

Big fan of the music and overall style here! I can see this being a really hectic game, especially scrambling to get to the boxes. I see you plan/planned to add more boxes- extra knockback and more weapon types similar to the the triple shot would be awesome. Nice work!

Seasons Journey by Haotian Chen 2022-10-06T00:23:49Z

Wow, I love the application of the theme here! The way the art changes through each season and phyically affects the gameplay with the leaf platforms and water is awesome. As others have mentioned, I feel it gets a little overly difficult in places, but it's still a lot of fun. Really great work!

For Greater Good by BayLock 2022-10-06T21:06:38Z

What a concept! I like how hectic it feels trying to discover which of the babies is possessed and check every baby in time, although sometimes it feels impossible to check them all before the time runs out, in which case it becomes more about luck. It'd be cool to see more levels in the future, and maybe a way to move faster? Overall though it's such a crazy concept, props on that. Nice work!

Puzzlebot by Lucas Simmons 2022-10-06T02:01:23Z

Love the robot! Having the timer be on the back of the character model is a great touch, and I could really feel the tension as I rushed between charging area to charging area. Throwing and jumping on the boxes could get a bit finnicky at times, but the puzzles were fun to figure out. Well done!

Machine! by KITmani 2022-10-06T02:12:56Z

Really fun gameplay! Love the idea of having different machines that create different items and having to multitask to create the right orders. The gameplay for me got to an extra level of cool-ness once I realized I could submit multiple orders at once, and also delay the timer by waiting to submit the prerequisite easy orders. I do agree with what others that it should be more clear that the bottom order must be submitted first- for a while I was trying to submit orders without understanding that and was confused. However, once I understood the gameplay, it became a hecticly fun time! Very nice work and concept!

Bad Thoughts by House Trap Jay 2022-10-06T23:27:20Z

Love the visual style! It gets pretty intense kiting enemies throughout the level, and the all-seeing eye's attack patterns are super awesome. I also like how hectic it can get, especially when one boss appears after another, and you're avoiding enemies and the shadow man/men all at once. My only nitpick is that it'd be nice to see an indicator where an enemy is going to spawn, as an enemy spawned on top of me a couple times. Overall though I really enjoyed this, well done!

Escape from The Aquillus by Alex de la Cour 2022-10-06T21:14:52Z

What a fun game! The graphics and gameplay feel really polished overall, and I really like how you gain more abilities as you play. The levels themselves definitely feel interesting with the gravity-flipping mechanic, and I like how difficult they get a bit later on. My only small nitpick is how there's a few spots where all you can do is wait for the timer to flip, but that's mainly just the nature of the theme. Well done!

EVERY TIME YOU BLINK by robobarbie 2022-10-06T02:34:55Z

What a unique way to tell a story- wow! I love the concept of having to remember things between blinks, multitask, and unravel the truth between the protagonist and Abel. The mood/tone building overall is great and really imprints itself onto the player through the gameplay. The art/UI design also flows together really well with that mood. Really great work here!

Eldritch Eaters by seisus 2022-10-06T01:20:34Z

Unique take on the theme! It's interesting that you have to either commit to making ten moves and not knowing what you're running into, or being more cautious. I do feel that the movement was a bit slow, and I wish there was a bit more variation with the enemy AI, but I like the theming here! Nice work!

Höpelö the Frenzy Cat by Sisusakari 2022-10-05T23:46:43Z

I love the charm of the cat sprite and level backgrounds! The theme idea is fun, though the levels were short enough that I was able to complete up to level 4 without it going into effect, or grabbing any chicken legs. I wish it was a bit longer, but I like what you put together considering the jam's restrictions! Nice work!

Clocking Hell by broodjethomaat 2022-10-06T22:16:56Z

I really like the concept with the clocks reversing back things in the level! It was a bit confusing at first, but once I got the hang of the mechanic along with the extra jump powerups, it became a lot of fun. Random note: The jump SFX is really funny to me for some reason. Nice work!

Sokobyo by Roroto Sic 2022-10-06T01:03:03Z

Interesting take on a sokoban game! I like the mechanics here, especially some of the interactions between the enemy "zombie", and the mechanic of crates breaking if they collide. I do wish the gameplay had more to do with "ten seconds" vs. "two seconds," but I understand it likely would have been pretty annoying to wait for your character to move if it was really that long lol. Nice work!

10seconds by xhz636 2022-10-06T01:09:57Z

Cool concept! I like the use of time- having to make quick decisions or plan your route before starting is an interesting take on a puzzle game. Some of those later levels get pretty tricky, but the challenge is welcome. Nice work!

Another LAST 10 seconds by Serxiolas 2022-10-06T03:20:21Z

I got all three endings- I feel very accomplished! Beautiful soundbite of the guy shouting *IDIOOooooot*! Very, very short, but hey, it does what it sets out to do, and does so with style. Nice one!

Cockroach Hooray by NickPick 2022-10-06T23:07:54Z

I like the unique concept here! It can get pretty tense trying to avoid the humans- the unpredictability of their AI is a strength in my opinion. The slow movement to start every level was a bit annoying, but I understand that the light allows you to scope out the level in advance. It'd be cool to see more mechanics added as well. Shoutout to the "you lost, congratulations!" message, it's great lol. Nice work!

In Season by Ha-kuro 2022-10-06T00:02:41Z

The art and spritework here is really charming! I also love the different effects for each season - whether rain or the shining sun, it all looks really nice. I like the concept but feel like it was a bit easy once you get into the groove, maybe making the cost per year grow as you go on could make things more difficult? It's really a fun idea though and I like the level of polish here a lot. Well done!

U.F.O.: Unconventional Farming Operation by SMilfred 2022-10-06T23:14:50Z

Cool concept! The art is pretty charming, I especially like how you explode if the blade hits you. It's fun to make it purposefully hectic for yourself by juggling all three crops, throwing them over the blade and all. It'd be cool if the game got increasingly more chaotic, and I think it'd be helpful if there was some indicator if a crop was fully grown as well. Outside of that though, definite props for the unique concept, I like the style a lot. Well done!

Minute Monet by Christina Salem 2022-10-06T00:15:44Z

I feel like a magnificent artiste! I like the wide selection of brushes, and the option to download at the end is such a great cherry on top. The theme application really encourages you to go with the flow, it's very nice. Simple, but charming- Nice!

No Time For Love by davidtheginger 2022-10-05T23:08:49Z

Wow, what a charming game! I love the different portraits and how each character corresponds with a different font and music shift. The concept is totally unique, love it. My only real qualm is how short it is, but that's definitely understandable with the limitations of the jam and the quality of each character. Replayed it a couple times and managed to get nobody to hate me, woo! Well done!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Rise of the Wee Giraffes by khaotom 2024-10-23T00:05:45Z

I think I just met God.

Creature researcher by notime4games 2024-10-23T18:15:45Z

I really enjoyed trying to figure out how to attract each creature and having each new discovery yield a change to the player character is a fun twist! The reveal of the hidden underground areas was also pretty fun. It'd be nice to have some clarification on the reticle and also WASD support, but minor additions aside I had a good time here! Nice work!

Ponding Experience by Carraka 2024-10-23T00:27:21Z

I absolutely love the dynamic music, inclusion of voice acting, and overall gameplay variety here, it all feels so polished! I love how you can suddenly walk on land come day two, that's such a funny inclusion that caught me off guard. The only "issue" I ran into was that I started the boss battle multiple times, leading to like four giant fish being stuck on each other, but honestly it was kinda funny too. Awesome work!

Luca and the Candle Flies by greymouth 2024-10-22T21:01:58Z

The art and music combined make for such a nice vibe here, I love it and it honestly feels really polished. I liked traveling throughout the levels and like the puzzle-ish elements involved with the lights, though I did start getting a strange bug where the camera would start shaking and flying around for whatever reason. Really nice work!

Of A Feather by LCStark 2024-10-22T23:59:13Z

I like the herding system, and strangely enough one of my other favorite aspects was the sound design - those little blips and boops when you select and direct the creatures is somehow very satisfying. I think some added variety per level could make things interesting especially early on, but I like the concept. Nice job!

Hamster Hamilton's Cardboard Quest by Yaen 2024-10-23T18:29:21Z

Such a fun and polished game! I love the progression of mechanics over time and the number of included levels for the jam format. I did run into an issue where I couldn't use the trash/delete tool but I was able to just restart the level if it came to it. Really nice work!

Cheesy Escape by Fiiction 2024-10-22T20:40:50Z

What a fun concept! I've always loved the idea of tile-based puzzlers where you change size (and even made one for LD51) so this was right up my alley. The art is charming and I love the animation when the player gets squished into too tight of a spot (poor guy...). Some more mechanics would definitely be cool but I totally understand the time constraints here. Really nice work!

Dgdgan by Gossian 2024-10-22T20:34:38Z

I really like the disparity between how cheery and upbeat the day feels and how there's just ambience during the night, it feels eerie! I honestly adore the art style and feel it also adds to that feeling of "something is wrong" here. Though I did wish there was a bit more to do during the gameplay loop, especially when waiting out the night, the mood conveyed here is really well done. Nice work!

Zanymen: Tiny Town by Brainloaf Studio 2024-10-14T20:05:25Z

@thechadrampage @simex @alexis-brochec @lakdjs @zeias @pimping Thank you all for playing and for the feedback, we're really happy to hear you enjoyed!

@xparker Thank you! We're definitely hoping to spruce up the page soon. Curse you, external responsibilities...

Zanymen: Tiny Town by Brainloaf Studio 2024-10-23T00:14:59Z

@sasa-2010 @shasaur @callumlarge @mcflyboy Thank you so much for the kind comments and for playing! We're all really happy you had a good time with the game.

@ciaranw Woah thanks for the in-depth feedback! We definitely do want to add more to do overall & change up the way you interact/direct the villagers in some sorta post jam version of the game. You totally exhausted all the content we were able to fit in, we're really glad you enjoyed it! (and we hope you got some funny combos for the children)

Zanymen: Tiny Town by Brainloaf Studio 2024-10-23T21:15:30Z

@rose @weirdbitgames So glad that you enjoyed the game, your nice comments mean a lot! Thank you for playing!

@swanboat Thanks for the feedback and for playing! We definitely want to change up some of the dialogue systems in a post-jam version - make it easier to select what's important like work vs. make it more intentional to do stuff like kick people out. We're glad to hear you enjoyed though, and also wish Snailman and Slop Nook a beautiful future together.

@lcstark Thank you for the in-depth feedback, and for playing! We totally agree that the selection system for work, changing tasks, etc is not ideal at the moment and want to change it up in some kind of post-jam release. We also didn't do a great job conveying it, but our initial intention for the game was for it to eventually become a kind of "idle game" where you can leave the game running for longer tasks, or even close it (it'll calculate how much time passes between visits & act as if the resources were being gathered/used for that entire time). Glad you had fun with it, and it's wonderful to see that Snailman and Meltman have started a little family together. We wish them the best.

Plan Bee by JHax 2024-10-22T20:47:21Z

There's something so charming about building a web of connections and watching all your little dudes head out and get to work. I like the upgrade system and how things slowly spiral over time (at least for me they did lol). It was a bit tricky to get a handle on things at first, as I wasn't sure exactly how to progress the tutorial, but I really appreciate the complexity here. Good stuff!

MintOlympics by HolySparks 2024-10-23T18:51:32Z

The art and overall style is really charming! I love the little sounds when Ant-onio flies around. It took a little time to get a hang of the physics and the levels are pretty difficult, but it's a fun time. Nice work!

Fig the Fox by Rodgems 2024-10-22T21:15:52Z

I really like the music and overall humor of Fig and Big Guy's journey together! I was very close to running out of health by the end... but I persevered! The shift "dash" and double jump were a little hard to control, but I enjoyed the progression throughout the level. Nice job!

Misfit's Daycare by RobotChimp 2024-10-22T20:52:42Z

Love how things get more and more chaotic over time - I certainly struggled with juggling all of the different tasks! The animations are also great, and it was quite the surprise when I failed to provide aid to one of my creatures for the first time... Nice work!

FoRest in Peace by Kitira 2024-10-22T21:20:48Z

The mood here is so well done! I love the spooky forest atmosphere (shout-out to the jump scare tree with a face) and how unpredictable the sources of the tiny creatures were - jumping from the bottom of the screen, out of obstacles, etc. My game started to lag quite a bit when there were a lot of the little goes on the screen at once, but other than that I really appreciate the work here. Good stuff!

Soul's Descent by maneoliz 2024-10-23T00:31:07Z

This game is hardcore! I honestly like that it's so difficult, it feels like a real gauntlet when you get farther in and a true representation of the hellish environment. With that being said, I do agree with others that some sort of more forgiving system could be implemented, maybe with the stipulation that it's not a "true" full run if you want to keep the purity of the intended difficulty intact. Nice work!

Bacterial by Webberiel 2024-10-23T00:36:05Z

First of all, that music is such a jam. Second of all - woah! I love that you included multiple characters and bacteria types, and it's fun to progress and collect upgrades. I did run into an issue where the upgrade selection was halfway off-screen, but I was still able to figure out what they said. Really fun stuff!

Betsy's Dreamhive by Hauntogogue 2024-10-22T23:55:08Z

Really fantastic antmosphere, and I love the designs of the enemies and the overall buzzing ambience. It's interesting to explore the dollhouse, though I didn't actually realize you could damage the enemies so I had to tank some damage when passing by some of the fly imposters (fly-posters?). As others have said I also would have liked to read the opening text even when clicking to accelerate the writing-out effect. Nice work!

Fear Unbound by duca.ad 2024-10-22T21:24:32Z

I really like the art here and was impressed at the amount of slides during the opening story! It took a bit to figure out what I was supposed to do during the dream gameplay segment (and I lost a few times without being touched by the enemy, seemingly a glitch?) but I appreciate the mood and production values here for the jam! Nice job!

Tiny Terrors by ArtAllester 2024-10-22T20:56:48Z

I love the progression over time and having the gun fire at intervals rather than being player-controlled is definitely a fun twist. The dialogue is great and I was not expecting that mutation! It does feel a little evil that the cockroaches can pass through obstacles but you can't... I guess they are "tiny" though lol. It's an addicting game!

LD58 — Collector

Znake by thristhart 2025-10-23T00:51:55Z

Simple but so addictive! I really like the addition of the map with your entire snake being represented on there as well, it's a thoughtful inclusion. It's really satisfying to see how far you can make it! As others have mentioned, it feels pretty difficult but that's not necessarily a bad thing - nice work!

ASTRO JAMS by jelch 2025-10-17T22:14:40Z

Really cool idea! I was driven to collect more and more astro jams not for the sake of reaching the ending, but to discover which instrument/melody each would unlock. Mixing the tracks while traveling across space was fun too! One suggestion would be to have the arrow which points you towards jams automatically point you towards the nearest one, since it seems more random at the moment and might send you across the map instead of to an objective closer to you. Nice work!

Curio by anothersomething 2025-10-21T20:29:13Z

I adore the artstyle! Something about the presentation and overall feels really polished. I also want to shout out the tooltips when you hover over anything, and the fact that everything takes place on one screen. As Kobato Games said, I also agree it would be nice to progress faster for a second go-around but I understand that the dialogue is the main aspect of the game! Really nice work!

Recollections by benskca 2025-10-23T00:48:58Z

Love the storybook vibe and the changing of movement mechanics when gaining new body parts is so fun! The voice acting and presentation makes the whole thing feel really polished. Great work!

Taxulator3000 by Rolly 2025-10-21T20:34:20Z

The walking animation for the tax collector is simply fantastic, no notes. This is a really clever take on the theme and I like the note-taking system! The subtle humor thrown in there is great too. It took a bit to figure out exactly how the systems worked and how to figure out the day to day activities of the townspeoples ("income units") but it feels satisfying to work it out! Great work!

My Grimoire! by SYPIAC 2025-10-23T01:17:28Z

Ummmm where is my exclusive spell I bought the Spell Collector: Seeason Pass™ along with the Pixie Preorder Bonus™ and also bought the Magic Loot Chamber of Surprises Loot Box™ this is unbelievable I demand to at least be able to turn purple instead of just green!!!1! In all seriousness, love the art. Nice work...........

The Legend of the Mondrokko by ditam 2025-10-21T20:47:14Z

I love progressive games like this, so addicting! The gameplay loop is simple but I like the added depth with the poison mushrooms, it makes it feel more like you're having to discern the mushrooms rather than it becoming a "spam e to collect everything" kind of loop. It'd be cool to see more added to this but I understand the constraints of the format! Nice work!

GNOWER by Aune 2025-10-21T21:11:25Z

Fellow gnome gnower! The level of polish here is awesome - I love the art style and the music! The addition of the detector devices adds a bit more to the gameplay loop, but I never really felt threatened by the time constraint since it's pretty generous. Finishing each level as fast as possible became kinda addicting. Really awesome work!

Pekko's Bottle Odyssey by An405 2025-10-17T22:06:25Z

Unexpectedly addictive! I'm a sucker for progressive upgrades so this was a lot of fun, and the music is an absolute jam. My only real suggestion would be to have a graphic (ie fences) for the map borders since I'd frequently run into them without realizing! Great work!

Kobolds In Space by WeirdBitGames 2025-10-17T21:58:46Z

Love the strategic gameplay! I could see this game having a high skill ceiling with all of the different actions you can take every day, and it doesn't take long to start figuring out how things work! It almost feels like a board game (in a good way). Nice work!

Haven's Lake by Flying Butter Studio 2025-10-21T20:52:51Z

Such a relaxing but addicting game! Something about progression and collecting in games like this just scratches my brain. I enjoyed the mechanic of repairing the items you can uncover and the different "minigames" with the tools were fun! Nice work!

Bootya by apoly 2025-10-23T00:57:40Z

Love these progressive style games, but I've never played as a vacuum before! Something about the sound as you pick up the "entropy" is really satisfying, along with the feeling of upgrading your overall abilities. Nice work!

Shadowstalker by stolvann 2025-10-17T22:20:34Z

Love the atmosphere! I also like that the monster actually backed away when I first noticed it, just a shadowy shape at the edge of the light. It made it all the more startling when it started charging towards me! As others have mentioned, a page counter or win condition would be awesome! Nice work!

Afterlife Debt Collector by jscommander 2025-10-21T21:05:11Z

Such a cool concept! The puzzles here were really fun to figure out - having each body part have a different function is so clever and lead to some great level layouts. I especially liked how assembling all body parts of a type would ally you with the corresponding enemies. Really nice work!

In a Place of а Face by FruitSoil 2025-10-21T20:43:29Z

Really cool concept and art style! The mood as you search the streets for your target with just the radio static informing you of the nearby ops is great. Like others have said, the fixed camera angle can be both a cool stylistic choice but also a bit limiting in the sense of ops being able to run into you off camera from the south side of the screen. Really nice work!

They are comming! by Mr. TJ 2025-10-17T22:25:39Z

100 rats... the horror... I will never sleep again. For real though, I like the art and something about the punching animation is just charming! As others have mentioned, it's a little confusing to find what the objective is and where to go while the countdown reduces, but something about just jumping around (and spotting a certain... uniquely "dressed" NPC) is fun. Nice work!

Beat the Mall by LizzieA 2025-10-23T01:04:17Z

Love the style here, the art & music combine for such a whimsical vibe! My favorite part is the muscled fist that absolutely demolishes all who stand in the way of obtaining these definitely not copyright characters. As others have said, it'd be cool to have some added challenge with the customers! Great work!

Pneuma by plutonicrock 2025-10-17T22:45:05Z

Really cool concept and I love the overall vibes with the art style and music! The puzzles are fun to solve and I like the sense of exploration, solving the larger world chunk by chunk. As others have said, I agree that the controls can be a bit finnicky and the terrain counters weren't increasing/decreasing on my screen so I just had to try and remember how much of each color I had! Still a fun time though, great work!

Beaver Bailiff by dr-braur 2025-10-17T22:33:32Z

Love the art and overall vibes here! It feels ramshackle and a bit disturbing (that scream when the... thing gets them is something else) in the best way. I love having to knock over and over to get funds, though I will admit my finger started to hurt pretty quickly! I feel some additional gameplay elements could spruce up the overall cycle if you decide to develop more on the idea postjam! Great work!

SNoWay by skale 2025-10-21T20:59:23Z

Fun idea! I really like the concept of using your own mass to deal damage or heal, and it's oddly addicting trying to survive for as long as possible! A cool example of one function leading to more depth gameplay-wise. It'd be fun to see more enemy mechanics added in as well in a future version! Nice work!
