Pretty interesting concept. But I think it lacks some of core gameplay mechanics(what to do exactly? how to win? how to progress?).

Extremely clever and innovative game. It's on point and fun to play around your own desktop windows, I made stairs with all the files of previous played ldjam build. The controls are a bit stiff gameplay wise and I really wish you went into an action oriented gameplay with those missiles that push the windows around, with wall climbing and jumping that could be a lot of cheap fun! But for a jam this was a very good experience and I wish this theme of using your own desktop as a playground was more common!
Really cool idea!. Reminds me of Desktop Goose. However controls were a little stiff. The overall idea of windows interacting with the game is really cool. It also was a little confusing however I as able to figure it out rather quickly! Great concept!
Very impressive implementation of a unique idea. And all those little details, like windows bumping down when you fall on them really make the game blend organically with the desktop. How did you achieve this?
Tell me how you hid the boarders of the Window immedeatly! Perkele! This is black magic! Heresy! Call the Emperor!
But on a serious note, how did you do that? Nice artwork btw, but everything else is just realy mindblowing.
What an awesome idea! It is really clever, and lovely graphics, full of details. I tested it on a quite old Windows machine and it ran a bit slow, but I guess it is my pc fault.
Brilliant idea! The graphics are a treat, the audio is well done, and moving all the windows to climb around was very fun. The innovation and technique required to blend a game with the desktop (with Unity, as well 😲) is incredible. The only part of the experience that was negative for me was the learning curve, but it was otherwise an incredible play.
This is sooooo good! I think I will always have this game open and the little island in the corner of my screen ahah!
Always wanted to make a desktop platformer, but kind of put away that idea due to render complications, and winapi makes me itch in general. I never thought I could pull that off in LD, but here's the second entry I know of that managed to do that perfectly.
Everything works smoothly, the mood is nice and meditative, the landing feedback on the windows, the graphics, oohhh, those pickup and explosion effects are sexy af. I love you and your game.
One change, if I'd be able to make, will be to increase the jump height slightly, to increase the playable area available without moving windows too much.
Fantastic idea and execution. Thank you for this masterpiece.
Can I get a version of this that's just a little dude who chills on my desktop and plants trees for himself? Awesome work. Super clever game and nice art/sound on top of the novel desktop interaction.
Really fun and innovating concept with great cute looking graphics.
Hugely cute idea. I love that you added a peaceful mode too, I like having it just sit there on my screen. I kind of want more games like this. The idea is so simple yet so fascinating.
This is a very clever and creative one! Well done!!
Very cool concept! I can even write the review while still playing the game. Art style and animations are really slick, good job!
Easily the most innovative of all the games in this jam. Th kind of thing you can play while doing anything else on your computer. Great job man :)
Absolutely delightful concept, I like how everyone probably experienced this game differently based on their desktop habits. The sound and graphics were really nice and pleasant too! You also managed to crash my explorer.exe which is a first so congrats on that also :stuck_out_tongue:
Very interesting idea, but sadly it doesn't work for me. It's affected by the windows that are on the background. Whenever I climb I seem to randomly fall down, often instantly. Also I need to be careful that I'm not opening something weird because of pressing all those buttons while playing. I do like the art and sound design. And it's nice that you can have it sit idle on the screen.
I wasn't very good at this game, I couldn't figure out how to climb.
Very innovative, and tied together nicely with some great graphics and sound. That said, I couldn't really figure out what I needed to do or why I should do it. This feels like a neat prototype of the mechanic that still needs the game built around it. For now, it's a **really** neat little toy!
It's very cool and I love the idea. The way that falling on a window effects the window is so neat! I like the 'peaceful mode' since I found it hard enough without enemies, I kept dying just by accidentally putting a window over the character or by accidentally moving the window he was on, which makes him fall through it. The game would be a lot more manageable if you could use windows like moving platforms in other platforming games.
It seemed a little too difficult to me. It was frustrating messing up the size of my windows and stuff, I have them how I like them. It was also frustrating accidentally inputting "aaaa wwwwww aaaa add dd" into every open program, I could seem to find a way to make Desktop Garden take the keyboard focus (which I think it should).
Pretty interesting, I wonder how you guys pulled this off with the windows. It's kind of an evolution of windowframe (ld 35).
This was super wild and cool! It would have been good if the unity window somehow capture key controls! I was having trouble climbing and stuff because my desktop was still reacting to my key inputs. I liked what you developed to have a game using this technology. I would love to see it fleshed out further! Great work with making this really cool and different style of game! I'm curious what you're inspirations where!
The concept is really cool! I was a bit annoyed by the fact that the scrollbar actually moves and the page content moves, as it can trigger Windows error sounds. However it is really cute, polished, and I love the fact that you can play in medidate or relaxing mode!
HAHA!!! Super fun! Was really neat to see that design concept executed so well!
Excellent idea! Its very fun to play, i like the art. I got super annoyed by Windows's sound after a while. Sometimes the commands for the game did not respond well, instead it happened in the desktop. Great job anyways !
I love the concept! Good job! :D
I have never thought there would be this type of game. Really creative and fun!
This is very neat man. I'm betting this game wins in innovation! Great work.
Very unique and innovative.
It would be very cool (but probably an imlementation nightmare) to platn tres outside of the island too.
Great stuff!
Deleted my system folder whilst playing
What a clever concept! Good job thinking outside the box.
Fantastic. I love this. I love games that use different ways of playing there games. I want there to be more games that use the desktop in this way. Really amazing job.
This is my favorite game ever now, it just blew my mind. AMAZING! It got a bit annoying that my computer kept ringing error sounds because I was pressing the letters to move and there were no icons on the desktop with those letters for it to find, so playing the game was a constant spam of error noises. Also the character have some difficulty identifying what is floor, so his movements and jumps are a bit buggy... but dude! I spend hours growing that garden and the concept of playing with my desktop, it was just too much. Perfect work! 5/5
That was pretty fun! It took me a while to learn and it was too difficult with enemies, so I turned them off. Had no issues with triggering hotkeys or error sounds, since I had Chrome open behind everything else.
Quite innovative game matched with equally beautiful graphics. Loved it. I am very much interested in how you achieved it using unity. Please share some insights on it.
Great concept! Very innovative. Feels like you are controlling my pc haha. I think that the controls could be made a bit more fun: jump could be a little higher, or wall jumping on windows could be fun (or even double jump)... to help moving the player without having to move windows all the time. Overall one of the most creative entries I've seen, great job! :D
Pros: - Inovative - Technically difficult - Great sound effects/animations and really nice gamefeel
Cons: - You have to use windows and the game still sends inputs to those, so I got a bunch of windows sounds and some text in my text apps.
Overall pretty cool game, where most of it is focused on the fact you play on your own desktop, which is cool, but also brings out some limitations as well. Gameplay wise it actually is pretty solid in gameplay mechanics and general feel. Pretty fun, even if it weren't on the desktop
What in The world You Have made. I messed up my pc I had a lot of fun Playing it. i would like to know.how you Did That ? Well Done. :thumbsup_tone2: Great Game. Keep it up.

Very cool, makes me remember those terrible interactive desktop things I used to have in Windows XP...
I always love little desktop toys, and this was done really well! I think that the wall jumping could be easier to use though (kicking off walls doesn't really work).
One of my favorite entries of the jam :D
that is cool. I don´t even know how to do that
Facinating. Ive got no idea how you did this! Very innovative. But I did find the controls and gameplay a bit clunky. Might have been better with a more 'floaty' character, or something that flew around. Climbing and jumping were a bit tricky and collisions werent always super solid. And the windows still had keyboard shortcuts enabled, so hitting 'W' with an explorer window open made windows sounds, or pressing controls with notepad open entered text. But overall, pretty cool!
Awesome game. I didn't know it was possible to do that. Really cool concept, and execution is very nice. Good job!
The guitar also began to be used in solo music, with virtuoso performers such as Matteo Carcassi and Francisco Tárrega showcasing the instrument's capabilities. [https://justrightguitar.com/](https://justrightguitar.com/)
