Keeping SNES Alive! by drludos 2020-04-21T21:21:47Z
Really cool concept and execution, I also love the SNES. No wonder you opted out in the audio category tho
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → Rednaxelus

Really cool concept and execution, I also love the SNES. No wonder you opted out in the audio category tho
It really picked up steam. Basically perfect in all aspects
It looks real nice
I love the visuals and smooth music but it´s hard to see stuff and therefore find it
Pretty dang cool. I would say the controlls should be changed so that you don´t have to drop of the plane thru your mouse but rather simply the arrow keys
Too be honest it´s kind of annoying to need to mash your keys so much
it was really fun using the disasters and even seeing the terraforming through the meteorite
cool idea and nice graphics. Just wished there were music
that is cool. I don´t even know how to do that
There are some glitches here and there but overall a lot of work was put into this. Just a heads up, the HTML5 version on Itch.io makes the game really small so it´s hard to read
@max-louis I found out the problem. You should disable the option on itch.io to play in fullscreen because the Unity Web Player has a built-in fullscreen function that works well. Itch on the other hand just centers the game basically when you activate their fullscreen. At least it seems to do this for Unity Web games
Pretty nice. Cute animal pixel art and easy to understand gameplay
cute cactus. The shake is too much
relatable. Love the idea and graphics. Also nice to play
Wow this is freaking incredible! Really great in everything. Definetly winning potential. I love the music too
Pretty cool. It would be good if the controlls would be explained in-game
bacteria_game.png Out of my 30+ played games this is easily in the top 3. Everything fantastic all around! Pretty ambitious for such a short timeframe. Only some minor glitches.
The hitboxes are off and I got stuck at the trash location. There isn´t a lot to do but I liked to explore it a bit
I liked it. Cute dinos :) Next time better rate other games too so you get more feedback
Best one I´ve played so far. Nice graphics and idea
I apreciate the effort that you put a shortcut to the game in the ZIP folder
Cool I won. That was a nice little experience :) I have a soft spot for tamagotchis
I kinda liked the tune. To be honest its not really challenging and there is no brain involved in cleaning. But I like the idea
yeah nice ambiance
I wish there were a shortcut for planing a whole month with an activity. Lovely visuals
Looks promising and I like the art but the load times are way too long and the controls are unresponsive and wonky
Cool graphical effects, I agree that the dialouge box could be improved
Seems like that cube gotta go fast
Wonka Wonk. Dam beats tho
that´s a lotta do
really cool idea. The controls could be clearer thou
Good game. I love the graphics and audio
Lovely visuals and sound
Cool idea and good graphics. The controls are really buggy because the policeman stops you from moving often, I think he serves no purpose here. I couldn´t find something to drink but it seems like there is no game over anyways. Well, next time you will know to calculate the time better and implement more things. The models you did are really nice :)
The menu animation is pretty cool. It is not clear what the power ups do. Level design is not that bad
I guess you didn´t have enough time to implement a guide to the controlls. If you did the map yourself, respect. The drive simulation is not bad but not great either
cool, a game made in blender. I like the idea of the game
Really cool asthetics but also really hard. Probably not a good game to play while having psychosis
Super! That´s my favorite up tll now from the 8 or so games I´ve played. Great everything. Graphics top-notch, idea really creative and well delivered and even put my own music on halt to listen to the track. Great asthetics!
Got 52. She just don´t care
Cool that was nice to play
Thank you all! :)
@matt-burton I´ll take a look at that, it´s possible. Maybe your controller is just a litle bit tilted to the right by default. That happened to an old controller of mine aswell.
@bongo227 thanks. I was very deliberate with that
@kayleighmil123 that´s a good point, I could give the player a little bit more time before the first foot comes.
@relixes @uppitydonkey57 maybe. From my experience playing it there isn´t really a specific pattern you can walk in to make it much more likely to suceed. But I´ll try to tweak it even more!
@goblinkingmatt yes, that´s what I thought about as well :)
@stuembi you are right. You probably were zoomed in on itch.io, this causes the dimensions of the game to increase. I didn´t think it would do that, but rather just scale up.
@supercool-guy which browser are you using and do you have any addons activated that could hinder loading? Does it also not work after refreshing?
It works for me on Firefox, Chrome and Edge.
It doesn´t work on mobile though from what I heard.
@disthron thanks for your honest feedback.
"I think it might have been better if the foot paused between stomps. Like if the shadow would hover toward you for a moment before stopping right before the foot comes down" - I agree that the player should be able to see the shadow for a longer time before the foot comes down to have a better chance at reacting and evading it. I have tweaked this offline already a couple days ago and will update the version online at a later date, since I am not sure if it would be regarded cheating in the Compo.I tweaked other factors to not make it too easy.
"As it stands I think it’s a bit too frantic to be really fun. There is not moment for you to take a breath, and as far as I can tell it just goes on until you die" - true. That is by design. It is not for everyone but it is supposed to be hectic and only last you for a couple minutes at most. The player would get bored if it would last longer since there isn´t more content to explore. I will consider builidng in a little break once the player hits a milestone like 100 points maybe  thanks for the suggestion!
The idea is that the player feels fired up to do just a little better each time he plays. That is why the respawn time is so quick. 59 is a perfectly valid record  The best I heard is 130 and my personal record is 113.
@oldblack @frosty thanks for your helpful feedback! Yes I agree having more than one stomping pattern is more interesting. I actually changed it offline that the foot now also uses the trajectory of your movement to "predict" where you are going. I think I´m gonna implement more patterns like you suggest as well!
@oldblack different places is a great idea. I could implement more (moving) obstacles like mabe in the kids-room.
@frosty :) yeah, kinda but not really
Nice idea and world. It would be good if the windows closed themselves when you click on something else. Also there is no good feedback and information presentation to the player what he needs to do to keep the bars up. What is "Cooked, not raw" supposed to mean, and what happens when I enable the stove?.. it only seemed to bring the green bar down. Does one need to do more?
Its really not clear how to interact with the game. This makes the experience quite frustrating
The controlls are very unclear
Cool. The shotgun effect is really nice
