Great atmosphere, graphics, sound and idea, but was too hard for me. :(
The game is unbeatable because of the poor balance (not enough gold drops from pawns, waves are too random, not enough start gold etc). The core idea with this type of tower defence was nice (although the girl wasn't necessary).
I think it's the best game I've played yet, got me into tears during one of the endings. Heartfelt and beautiful. Art and vaporwave-style soundtrack are magnificent.
Unfortunately, the game is buggy. I was stuck several times because the game went into loop on "go back" or there was no button to return, if you click on the moon more than once, new clock hands will appear, each of them generating new separate sound. Sometimes I couldn't progress text because the choice window was on the screen, I had to choose an option to make it disappear.
@Angela-He the bug with the moon occured in the very beginning, I was figuring out what to do and clicked too much. After that, I couldn't go back from the fridge scene, after clicking "go back" it returned me to fridge. Also, when going to the roof, I couldn't exit the location because the only option I had was to listen to people. Maybe here's my fault. In the ending segment for example I initiated the ending sequence, but it started a bit later, and during that time I clicked to summon the choice ment. It appeared, and I couldn't progress the text because there was a choice menu. It dissappeared when I picked the same choice (but I guess it doesn't matter what I pick, it would go away after any choice) and I could progress the text. The same happened in another location if I remember correctly. I had to restart the game several times. Maybe I broke the game with that clock sequence.
@Angela-He so it wasn't just the moon bug that messed everything, huh? Anyway, really glad that I could help! Among other things, I've been playtesting indie games in a small team for a while now, so probably it's already sort of (un)professional deformation to find bugs and small things while playing. :)
I really liked the game, so if you ever need a playtester, you can contact me on Twitter, and I will gladely help: https://twitter.com/atime_loop (it's not advertisement btw, I'm not taking money for playtesting, just wanted to offer help in future projects)
A cute little game. Well-executed, but earrape is horrible, I hate when games do that, it's not even remotely scary. :( Also, an ability to type answers can ruin the immersion for some people since they will type some joke answers.
I wanted to download it from itch.io, but I can't find the button. :(
Thanks, it worked! The game is absolutely adorable, although the rhytm game needs some polish. Button promts are not intuitive enough to understand quickly what type of pressing is needed. And sadly, because of the constant need to be focused, it's easy to miss superb assets, they're as good as music.
A fun game, really enjoyed the gameplay concept, graphics and music. But maybe it would make some sense to leave additional carrots on levels to not make players pixel.. er, carrot hunting after reaching the end of the map.
I found the controls a bit weird since I'm used to either a mouse or a keyboard in a point and click game. The graphics is awesome and the theme is important, but I don't think it really fits the theme of a jam, and the lack of different possibilities kinda disappointed me (only two endings that I found and things not changing much aside from the end picture), but I really appreciated artwork, idea and the theme.
Great game. Polished, interesting and fresh, The only complaint I have is that the last stage is a bit too hard for my liking. Also, I think it'll be perfect on mobile.
