Cute and fun little game. Was challenging but cool concept.
It's actually kind of fun, but the music isn't synced sometimes
I am pretty impressed with the 3d landscape that you've created, it kinda blows my mind.. I also think that the wolf is a little cheap, and it could use some animations for sure!
Nice game especially the design, Crypt of necrodancer fan :)
Neat little game, at times the rhythm pattern felt like it was off and I had trouble at times getting back on beat although it felt like I was on beat. Overall enjoyable other than that.
It reminds me a bit of Crypt of the Necromancer, which is a cool concept. Art was nice, reminded me of paper-craft.
Accomplishing 3d is really impressive. I wish the stealth half was more visible.
cute little game, the miss sound is a bit lound compared to others, graphics are interesting the music is pretty awesome. fun all around
Really neat, I liked it.
(FYI volume changes don't seem to stick)
The art of the character are very nice. Maybe the camera can tweak a little bit? We have also made a little game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/typer-world-cup You'll have my eternal gratitude if you'd check it out
Might work better if the music was synced to the little yellow dots, but it was cute.
Hard to be on the beat because of the sincing between the music and the input. Nice visuals!
Like so many already said, this game is really cute and just very beautiful graphics! The sync is off so I felt it was easier to just try matching to the dots. Which was sad, because of the great music!
Its pretty fun and even though I suck at rhythm it feels very rewarding to get the carrots. As soon as I got into the wolf territory the game becomes really stressful but not in a bad way.
Cute game! I like the graphics. The wolves were spooky!!! O-O. The crunch of the carrots is so satisfying.
Nice use of the theme. The concept was good but it was quite hard and felt out of sync at times. The graphics and music were great together and gave the game a fun vibe.
As with others, the music isn't entirely synced with the rhythm notes but enjoyable nonetheless and makes for some funny moments with 3+ wolves slowly gaining on you to such a happy tune. The landscape design is also really nice so A+ on visuals.
Hey I had a great time playing this! I also suck at these games, but I still had a good time. I loved your art, and the level design was very good! Never felt too easy, or too hard. One suggestion though, you can add a link to this page on your itch.io page to link back here!
Great style! Felt frantic and challenging, but doable. The main rhythm/movement mechanic didn't always feel great though. At times the circles wouldn't leave the scene, so a traffic jam of multiple circles converging would occur. Other than that, fun puzzle concept! Keep at it!
Fun game! I appreciate the zoom in the start since the sight when playing is limited, especially anything south of you. I had to try not to listen to the music to stay synced to the dots.
The perspective was an interesting choice. It makes the game feel very different, which is a good thing, but it skews the range of vision.
I wish there was some kind of reward for continuously hitting the beat.
Great job!
I'm not sure how incompatible the genres were, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this game. It seems that there is some sort of memory leak problem. The first time I was about to get through the orange field level and the game crashed due to running out of memory. Fortunately i was able to beat it after trying again. I would have liked it if the wolves didn't chase you until the ends of the earth when you get caught, maybe have the wolves stop chasing after a while? Other than that I had a lot of fun with the game, the music was nice, the assets were really cool and I definitely liked the perspective of the game. Like others have said the sync was a little off with the music and the circles, but it was okay once you got used to it. Great job!
The game is Fun and nicely implemented! I can't even got through the Field of Orange. The bgm is nice but like what others had said somehow not sync or may be it's just my lack of music sense haha. Great graphic also!
Cute and fun little rhythm moving game
Great idea, although I'm not sure the genres were uncompatible. it did make for a nice experience.the beat was on and off with the dots. at time it felt just right, then slightly off ruining the mojo. the wolfs also seemed hard to lose once they were onto you. someone mentionned bonus for good performance... maybe some way to lose the wolf. It looks really great btw.
The mechanic's intuitive, and keeping an eye on the beats while scanning the board is challenging and fun. It's a shame there isn't more stealthy, toe-tapping music around, but the art's great, and the level of in-game polish is exceptionally high. Brilliant :)
These trees look very good!
Realy cool graphics.
Very neat concept, I wasn't able to get through Fields of Orange, the music seemed to desync from the beats (I was on the WebGL Build), so it might be worth seeing if that can be tightened up, or perhaps loosen the detection time a bit to be slightly more forgiving.
Visual design nitpick: Some kind of indication that the wolves have seen me and are chasing me would be excellent. I couldn't tell when they were actively chasing me, versus when they were just moving around.
Very solid execution overall, strong use of the themes. Great aesthetic.
Edit: Maybe move the dots up towards the center of the screen so you can track the beats while you plan your moves? This would make the desync slightly more manageable.
Hey, thank you all for your feedback! Every comment helps us be better developers and I am grateful that you have all been helpful in that regard. I am making a point of going through and playing your games as well and will leave comments for you! @OccultOne @OldShrimpeyes @joh @Arun Donti @recursiveanomaly
Found it challenging but it's a great concept! The art is beautiful.
Great game and nice graphics! Well done!
A fun game, really enjoyed the gameplay concept, graphics and music. But maybe it would make some sense to leave additional carrots on levels to not make players pixel.. er, carrot hunting after reaching the end of the map.
nice entry. the art is rad.
Nice game. You can double tap very fast to move two or even three squares on one turn if your are fast enought. That made the wolf a little of a concern for me.
Loved the music choice and the vibe! Nice work guys!
Really awesome GFX and an all-round fun-as-hell game to play. You should be very proud of this.
Awesome style, really like it!
Too bad there isn't a frustration category because you would have received 6/5! Haha! In a good way of course, but it was really hard. I loved the mood and music of the game and the graphics were nearly perfect. Maybe it was just me, but it seemed like the synchronisation between the button pressing and the yellow circles were a bit lagged.
Good entry, it's a shame that it a rhythm game the music and actions aren't completely synchronized, making the game sometimes frustating (I died a couple of times because I wasn't capable of not following the music beats). It's great hearing you did this as a distance project.
Keep coding!
Really nice use of the theme and the art style looks great. The syncing issue got a little annoying when the wolves where on to me but at the same time kind of added to the stress and tension of not wanting to get caught. I also like the contrast of the upbeat song and the scary wolves, smart choice.
A very interesting concept. However to me it felt that the music was not in sync with the on-screen indicators, thus moving to the beat actually caused quite a lot of misses. Also one time the level just faded out and restarted (not sure if wolves eat carrots etc though). The music was great and the art style was fabulous! All in all good game!
The most interesting concept here is limiting the number of movements; I think it'd be great for the horror genre, where you're escaping from a monster you KNOW it's there, but you can't escape as fast as you'd wish.
I had fun, definitely an interesting mashup. As others have said, the music doesn't always sync up. I also wish there was some map or other indication of where the remaining carrots are.
Nicely done, cool art style! Quite a challenging game, trying to outrun the wolf is very stressful hehe
I liked the graphics but visual cues didn't seem to match audio cues and even though I pressed according to the music it sometimes didn't work. So in the end I had to mash the buttons to get everywhere. Also wolves seemed to follow me sometimes and it felt a bit random.
Pacman meets carrots ... and DDR. Or Necrodancer with bunnies. Either way it's a nicely done piece of work. Lovely graphics and music. Perhaps I didn't get far enough but was the wolf the only enemy you managed to get into the game wihtin the time limit. I'd love to see more types.
I dig the environment art, and the music seemed to be out of sync often which wasn't great.
Nice game, the art style is pretty nice and the choice of perspective is interesting. Took a little while to get the feel for it, and sometimes it felt a little off, but I couldn't tell if it was me or the game. Great work!
Nice take on the theme, and such a nice art style. I think the game miss a penality for a unsincronized movement. After some time I was just smashing the buttons to make the rabbit walk. Maybe if I missed the time, the wolf would be alerted.
It's a good game and a good job!
Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional
Really great rhythm game, the art is superb, I'm a big fan of the 2D in 3D style so big ups from me. Great job :)
design is really good, also love the gameplay! good job!
I love the music, enjoyed the game, but I do wish the music where synced with the beat of the game.
Cool concept, great job!
Congratulations, the system is pretty much working even if the music should help a lot more to be in rythme, with a noticeable beat, and it would be great to have some feedback on the wolves states and initial routes.
Bravo !
it's very well designed. game difficulty is well balanced & i really like that if you fail to move, a wolf can pass by you and it's gameover. the fact there is the rythm game at the same time of the bigger game is disturbing (in a good way) to play because you need to focus on both part at same time but it was the theme ;) !
Cool concept and the idea of stealth and rhythm is combined very well. Truth is that the beat could be better to the rhythm, but still it isn't something disturbing. Art is decent and plays really well with the mood of the music, perfect combination, if you ask me. The wolf reminds me (for some reason) a Wildly Coyote character from Looney Tunes :-D Great Job!
Neat little game, was a bit tricky in spots but my coordination is kinda shot when it comes to music. Really liked the graphics though :)
Well done on combining two incompatible themes!
Definitely one of my favorites so far. I like the music chosen - it goes well with carrots!
Cute little game - I really like the graphics. Having the wolves follow the player a bit more would be cool - having to nail the rhythm under a bit more pressure would be nice.
Interesting but the fact that you have to match the rythm not according to yellow circles meeting is very counter-intuive.
Keep working on games to make even better ;)

Unfair game. Too hard run away from homing wolfs. And too monotone to play after few minutes. But theme mixing is very interesting.
The graphics were cute! The game itself was pretty fun, and an interesting take on the theme. I think a more finely tuned system(varying beats/audio) for the rhythm part would have made things a bit more intense, and maybe a way to get away from the wolves... because everything was going fine until I got eaten by the wolf. Overall though, good job!
I think the music was off sync with the dots- it might be because I had it fullscreen? Cute concept, and I liked the art.
Good job! Cool game! I found the idea fantastic, just missing the song is synchronized with the moment of pressing the commands. It's amazing how you start to miss everything when the wolf is around ... hahahahahaha !!!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
