LD27 — 10 Seconds

Clockwork Cat by patrickgh3 2013-08-31T08:49:00

Great game! Nice mood.

Treasure Get! by Ninja 2013-08-27T01:53:00

Great game! Really solid mechanics. Wish I could test the multi-player part.

Entropy by TwilightFlandre 2013-08-26T03:14:00

So tried to play the game, and I get to the second light and the character won't move. I tried jumping and all possible commands. :) Good luck!

The 91st Parallel by BMacIntosh 2013-08-26T02:26:00

Great audio and gameplay!

Flooded Dungeons by ripatti 2013-09-01T02:11:00

Fun game!

10 Second Tofu by zerocreativity1 2013-08-27T03:25:00

Interesting idea. Love the art. One of the signs on the second level is to high, the text is off the screen. When you click the moves in your queue to change them, it doesn't work unless you click a ton.

Haraka by gikdew 2013-08-31T09:09:00

Very nice game! Was frustratingly hard, but I managed to beat it eventually. :)

Death Star by Nuclear_Hammer 2013-08-27T01:03:00

Can't download, mediafire took down the link...

On Borrowed Time by shohs 2013-08-26T04:24:00

trying to run from command line gives me java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError for the cross platform and windows

Umbra Machina by TheMaster99 2013-08-28T00:01:00

Love the game! Reminds me a lot of spore.

Future Sport 3000 by Alexander 2013-08-26T03:27:00

Camera was a little too crazy. I like the idea, and the skateboard was neat!

Speedster by disease 2013-08-26T03:22:00

Giving the player a start menu would really have helped this game. More often than not I found myself frustrated because the game would have started and I wasn't ready. Thus, I lost time and was unable to make it to the fiery hoop.

PROBE TEAM by Andrew Shouldice 2013-08-30T04:13:00

Amazing Game! I love everything from the concept to the ending. I was feeling really bad for all the probes I left behind... so I went back and made sure to collect them all at the end!

TickTock by Arcane Noise 2013-08-30T03:40:00

I really liked the wall jumps and the wheels in the background. Sweet game! Why does the level loading take so long?

ShuffleLand by rincewind_cz 2013-08-27T01:48:00

I love the sound when you beat the level!

Caves of Caladria by Joxno 2013-08-27T02:16:00

Sweet game. I love the endless dungeons. When you fall a long distance your camera loses the player.

Crazy Teleporter: Zombie Edition by internetpaulicy 2013-08-26T04:29:00

Neat game! I love the graphics. It was a little hard to hit anything not on a 45 degree angle.

Ten Sec to End by AnimaLocus 2013-08-26T03:09:00

Nice game. It is a lot of fun. At first learning the controls is a little bit of a chore, but after that this is fun. I like especially how you can gain seconds back so that you can play longer. Very good use of the theme. :)

Withdrawal Syndrome by Supernaught 2013-08-27T03:10:00

Loved the ending! Game was very solid.

Charybdis by LD_LAN_Party 2013-08-27T01:10:00

Neat game! Love the pirate ship.

Juu Byo by Zelun 2013-08-26T02:17:00

seems like it is too hard

Freeze Box by SamC 2013-08-27T02:46:00

Awesome game! Total boxes used: 54. I love the lighting and graphics. Best part was using previous attempts to your advantage to beat the level!

Jimmy The Knight by torvik88 2013-08-27T01:27:00

Really nice game! I love the top down dungeon explorers. I wish there was some way to see how much health I have left. The grid the player walks on is different than the tiles on the floor, which was a little confusing.

10 Seconds To Win by lopiky1 2013-08-30T09:54:00

:D

10 Seconds Before Flush by Geeks-n-chicks 2013-08-27T01:00:00

Mmmm, played this game while having dinner. I liked how you have to turn around to shoot. Controls are great, and the graphics really good.

S0LB0T by XaiZil 2013-08-27T01:34:00

LD28 — You Only Get One

Burning Love by Ted Brown 2013-12-16T19:06:00

Why I always drop Grog? I never know. Great game!

FowL Play by Sakuyan 2013-12-16T19:25:00

Wonderful game! I loved the slowed fall speed, it really added an element of skill to the game. Those saws in the corner of the boss room were evil. Good job having a legitimate boss fight!

The Colosseum by CryoGenesis 2013-12-17T20:51:00

Lots of fun to swing, although at times the controls react a little strangely. If you can get a good swing going then it is nice. Sometimes when you go to the next stage the enemies just spawn on top of you and you go from full health to dead without any chance to do anything, which can be frustrating. Great job!

Hero of Tower by Threef 2013-12-19T13:57:00

Fun game! I love this kind of thing. Had a lot of fun bouncing around the maps. My only issue was you had to let go of the jump button before it would let you wall grab. Great job!

Gods of Baloo by timtipgames 2013-12-16T19:53:00

I sacrificed my only friend :(.

Destructoblast by Doctor Broccoli 2013-12-16T20:33:00

Failed to run on Windows 8

Replay by Typedeaf 2013-12-18T14:12:00

Lots of fun! I had so many guys going on that last level :). I really liked the mechanics, but I though the ball could be easier to control.

Synesthesia by fullmontis 2013-12-17T21:01:00

Wonderful idea. I love how the game gives me a feeling of discovery by making me explore without light.

Acorn Hunter 5000 by dcolgan 2013-12-17T00:09:00

Overall great art. The dogs are so friendly looking, but they are traps! Nice game over screen too! HAHA!

ØNCΞ IF ØUND ΛPILL (ONCE I FOUND A PILL) by methamphetabear 2013-12-17T15:14:00

Nice style. The part that says audio is required at the beginning is a large hint.

Agent One by DanielSnd 2013-12-19T08:10:00

Really neat game. I love the overall look of it. It was a little weird getting used to the controls at first. The gun was hard to aim and didn't seem needed. I loved the ability to roll, but I never felt like I needed it. The random items in the background looked amazing. The movement was very fluid.

Eggcited by intelligentbean 2013-12-16T21:22:00

I love his face when he is looking sad.

One Turn by dearenot 2013-12-16T18:49:00

I like the use of the theme. I was able to win and lose at the same time.

The Witch's Weak Point by Agram 2013-12-19T13:50:00

Link just takes me to a white screen on Chrome.

CYTC (Choose Your Treasure Chest) by tiffi_gaming 2013-12-17T22:33:00

The Ludum Dare deadline killed me!

Space Diplomacy - You Only Get One by taocayo 2013-12-16T23:55:00

Wonderful game. Very well designed and executed. Lots of polish.

UniFlagellete by vanaficionado 2013-12-16T18:53:00

Neat look to the game. It I like the different layers of background.

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

John by Diptoman 2014-04-29T18:17:00

Amazing! Is it bad that I was hitting the bad memories just so I could see the art?

SHARK by tiffi 2014-04-28T02:18:00

Fun game! I know sharks are a problem... but did we have to go with the nuclear option? The radiation alone is probably mutating all those babies long after the sharks are dead. :D

Cry Baby by Elforama 2014-04-28T02:42:00

I like how she melts when she dies of "dehydration" :D

Glassie by rincewind_cz 2014-04-28T03:02:00

Really near! Love the lighting and getting crushed.

Glassie by rincewind_cz 2014-04-28T03:02:00

Really neat! Love the lighting and getting crushed.

Paranoia by WetDesertRock 2014-04-28T05:09:00

The game didn't move past October. But up to that it was compelling and interesting. Good job!

Beneath The Surface by adamwoolridge 2014-04-28T10:45:00

Love the look and the mechanic!

Bathyscaphe11 by j_peeba 2014-04-28T15:24:00

Love it! Really fun gameplay. It was neat finding a bunch of different guns. Music was perfect as well.

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Tightrope Theatre by AdventureIslands 2014-12-08T03:56:00

Love the clean art. I admit I lit myself on fire several times just to watch the animation...

ScreenShots by ilikescifi 2014-12-08T15:10:00

Love the music and the screen presentation.

OMNI by Noah Ratcliff 2014-12-10T02:17:00

Brilliant! The cat boss was really cool at first, but then took to long to re-fight over and over until I learned the pattern.

Quintuple Dimension Room by Recursiveanomaly 2014-12-08T14:11:00

@Kim Thanks for taking the time to beat it! I see what you did there with hat comment :)

This Is How It Comes About by DesignerNap 2014-12-09T21:32:00

That's not a moon, it's... our robot overlords? This felt more like a sublime experience than a game. :). Some criticisms, even though I really liked it:

Iou suffer from the adventure game problem. The gameplay devolves into "click all the things until I find the correct one"

The actions you perform don't seem to mean anything. This game could have had the same effect by just being a movie that you watch. It would have been better to make the gameplay mean more than just "what I have to do to continue." Sometimes I wasn't even sure what I had done. Maybe you could have given the player two obvious choices and letting them pick one.

I felt that there were times that the game was showing me something cool, and then there were times that the game was waiting for me to do something. I think the cursor could have told me when I need to be doing something and when I can just watch the amazingness.

The Cubenator by Kuupu 2014-12-08T17:53:00

Sweet! Now I just need someone to play with :)

Atomic Space Vikings by AtomicVikings 2014-12-11T18:17:00

Love this game. It was a lot of fun ganging up my ships on them. Very polished.

Blob Thing's Epic Escape From the Lab by samgj 2014-12-08T04:25:00

Neat idea. I like how you have to use the ladders to jump higher.

Tesseract by Fede3751 2014-12-10T20:54:00

Neat game! Very polished platformer.

I really liked the jumping and grabbing mechanics. I enjoyed the levels where that was all you had to deal with the most. The grabbing the ceiling throw me until I figured out you could do that. The mechanic where you can jump after dropping was very well explained, I think the grabbing of the side and ceiling just needed similar treatment.

I hated the eye, it basically just meant you couldn't play the game for half the time. Waiting isn't hard or challenging, but it is frustrating.

I don't think this fits the theme (I did see the ending, and it seemed like the story was tacked on at the end). But that doesn't stop it from being an awesome game :).

Mobius Dungeon by nesis 2014-12-08T12:57:00

I escaped the dungeon! Really like the way you used the theme. Similar to my game :). Really cool effects when transitioning rooms.

Snowball juggling Olympio by Benjamin 2014-12-08T03:44:00

Amazing. The level of polish in the art, tutorial, and mechanics is not often seen in LD.

SpeedRPG by Random Abductions 2014-12-08T12:43:00

Really neat game! I love the graphics, but it is hard to see them since they are small. I know the theme was "one screen", but 3/4th of the screen space was black and not used all at once. Also the buttons in the tutorial area were mismatched :P. I loved chaos of dodging all the different attacks, especially the spider thing.

Microphyla by 7Soul 2014-12-09T03:53:00

Really liked the game. So much inspiration from metroid :D. Boss fights were fun and interesting. The only think I didn't like was how small everything is. I understand it is the theme but I really wish the game had just scrolled and been view-able.

FastyPizza by dix 2014-12-08T12:47:00

Reminds of me snow crash. Is it bad I expected them to kill me if I didn't delivery the pizza within the 5 seconds I was given? :D Cool game, but it could use some more challenge other than time.

Pony Island by Danman9914 2014-12-08T04:34:00

Well that escalated quickly...

Quads by DMajor 2014-12-08T19:02:00

I touched the center! Neat idea. It was hard to switch mentally between the sides for how to control the box. I think it would help if the world rotated with you.

Souls by friken 2014-12-09T19:20:00

Very interesting game. The idea was really cool. It was kinda hard to control which weapon was used. I wish there was more strategy to using different weapons against different enemies.

The Agency by Democritus 2014-12-11T17:24:00

Amazing game. I loved the use of the theme. I am sad that you took so long to introduce it, since it seems like some people won't give enough time to figure it out.

Cubed by LoHii 2014-12-08T16:30:00

Great mood. I got 3 of the four numbers, then guessed the last one :). Found it later.

Omn Nom by Mathieu Muller 2014-12-08T13:00:00

The damn dots come back! Nice game.

Space FireFighter by naufr4g0 2014-12-09T15:03:00

Neat game! Interesting controls give the game a unique feel, but might be hard for some people to deal with.

Flailing Arm Ninja vs Pirates! by RougeRogue 2014-12-09T16:19:00

Sweet entry. The controls were hard, but they made sense once I got the hang of them. There was a bit of flailing around in the beginning trying to figure them out. The ranged attack seemed useless since I had to be jumping to use it and it didn't seem to kill them as fast as the sword. The white guy was really neat the way he pathed around the entire screen. Great game :).

Kingdom Simulator 2015 by hbirler 2014-12-09T00:27:00

Interesting game. I like the story telling the comes from the missions.

Train your Jedi ! by jarry 2014-12-08T03:33:00

The force was not with me. The difficulty goes up real quick.

Oh, rats! by Andrea 2014-12-08T03:22:00

I really like how the vision works. I almost wish it was more limiting so the enemies couldn't be seen until you open their room :).

Elf Hunter by Kim Sjöberg 2014-12-08T14:20:00

Sweet game! Thanks for the comments on my game :)

Office Gaming Inception by AMS 2014-12-09T04:16:00

So I am playing a game about an office working playing a game about a fairy playing bomberman. Brilliant. The first thing I did was destroy my snowman.

Door 37 by Phaax 2014-12-08T03:30:00

Really nice graphics. I like how you presented the controls, then had them turned off with a button. That last door is a tease :)

Get Bigger! by admix 2014-12-09T16:12:00

Awesome Game! "Try to collect all the snow"? Ouch :)

Eternal War by goodbadokay 2014-12-09T19:24:00

Neat game! I wish I could do more than just defend though...

Ludum Bark Beams by CullenCoyote 2014-12-10T00:10:00

Fear rainbow dog, destroyer of the world! Only being able to fire left/right felt artificially constricting. I liked how the screen got bigger and you never lost your sense of progression. I loved when you got the player to put his fingers on the controls at the start. Fun game!

Four Seasons by bushmango 2014-12-09T01:32:00

Great game! I came here after reading your comment that our games were similar, and it is true! I got nothing on your great sound effect though... :)

V for Vectory: Maximum Overquill Edition by quill18 2014-12-08T03:06:00

Awesome Game. I love the combination of tower defense / shooting. Very polished for LD :)

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Apocalyptia by manabreak 2015-04-20T06:43:00

Sweet Game! I really like the graphics and music. The death particles for the mutants are a nice touch. The game crashed while I was fighting the floating mechanical eye monster.

Alexis' Mission by Conflei 2015-04-20T05:16:00

Sweet graphics! I had difficulty aiming the screws. The fire sound was neat.

Yoyokidz by Noxlof 2015-04-21T09:08:00

Great game! The graphics are beautiful and the yoyo responds well. The key bindings were a little awkward, and I kept hitting jump when I wanted to attack and vice versa. Having different characters when you respawn was a nice touch.

Dirty Fork: Unleash the Mayhem by SmilingCat 2015-04-20T05:11:00

The controls are a bit strange to work. But the game itself is pretty fun. I really enjoyed getting to throw food at people. Thanks for the game!

Bilehacker by RobotParking 2015-04-20T05:01:00

Interesting concept, but a bit repetitive. Wasn't able to get past the walls of text. Thanks for sharing though.

Ramming Speed by dingotime 2015-04-20T04:37:00

40 well trained rams later... great game! Controls are very smooth, which is essential for a game like this.

Out Of Mind by Lyje 2015-04-20T03:58:00

Hello, thanks for the great game. You got a good scare out of me. Congrats. First, I love the atmosphere of the game. The sound effects are top notch. Love it. Second, I think I might have broken the game though, I some how ended up outside of the main wall I think. I'm not real sure. Either way, I ended up in a real fuzzy area and no boundaries. Maybe I didn't look long enough for the proper exit. Finally, this was pretty fun. A suggestion for expansion would be to add some story telling elements. This could be a really fantastic little game with a bit of story. Cheers!

Machine Kiss by Cell 2015-04-20T15:32:00

Really interesting game! It crashed on me once. I liked doing strategies centered around getting a ton of units and then killing them all to make one big one.

Hollywood Horror by Funske 2015-04-20T04:55:00

Letting the player know that the character moves with the arrow keys would be a bit helpful. Otherwise this was a pretty cute little game. The battle is a bit confusing because you can just hold down Z and stab people, and the orientation of the player to the enemies makes stabbing them a bit difficult. Otherwise thanks for a fun game.

Quest For The Orb of Toz by Orange 2015-04-20T04:28:00

Really great gameplay! It is giving me flashbacks to the "You only get one" theme. The controls were spot on, and the messages when you combo/catch/bounce really added a good feel.

Pillow Fightin'!! by shyupuff 2015-04-20T03:44:00

I like the game. The color scheme and art style are picturesque. It could use a little refinement for the controls, but I like how the boss mechanics and charge attacks work.

Death Touch by uheartbeast 2015-04-20T05:36:00

Really great idea! The boss was quite difficult, and it took me a while to figure out I should break the pots to make him easier. The controls feel great and the teleportation is very satisfying.

Escape The Killer by Nomys_Tempar 2015-04-20T04:51:00

This could use a bit of proof reading. The text has many "tense" issues that require the player to reread and makes playing a bit tedious. Otherwise I would say this could be a neat idea. I love the idea of a "choose your own ending" type game. Great job with this. :)

Tipping Point by lonestar 2015-04-22T11:47:00

Amazing artwork! I feel like the puzzles were a bit lacking, but it was a joy to play.

NO TIME TO EXPLAIN: GET IN THE LLAMA by Nidar 2015-04-20T06:52:00

Wow, this really killed my FPS when spamming Ground Fork. Fun game!

LOVE: An Unconventional Weapon by Cherrymochi 2015-04-20T15:25:00

Love the graphics, especially the mood with the music and cherry blossoms. I did see some comparisons with male prostitution (getting paid with each lover). I liked how it got more complicated with mechanics like the joke. IRL all my jokes are bad...

Rain Rain GO AWAY! by Bitterdeath 2015-04-20T19:48:00

I really like the music.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Golden Rush by juaxix 2015-12-14T22:49:00

Couldn't play this because I didn't have the proper MSVCP dll.

Stavros the DAVROS by DustyStylus 2015-12-14T16:53:00

Really cool concept, but I couldn't figure out how to control him. It's too bad because the rest of the graphics and audio and such were excellent.

BaseExt by Tyler 2015-12-14T17:50:00

I really like the styling of this game and the base building aspect. The UI was a little rough as some of the tooltips didn't show all the time. Sweet game!

Trump Buttons Incorporated by FloatingGhost 2015-12-14T17:10:00

This is just very confusing to play. I like a good complicated simulation game as much as the next guy, but it was too hard to make sense of what was going on here. I did stick with it for a good few minutes, too!

THE BRAKES!!! by chikun Dev Team 2015-12-14T17:24:00

Looks and sounds great; neat variation on the doodling game we've all played. I felt like the controls weren't responsive enough for the speed of play. I also ran into situations where my ship turned without my inputs and I didn't understand why; I get that it has to turn at the edges but it would also sometimes do it when hitting triangles I'd already made.

The Rap Game by Rocketship 2015-12-15T01:19:00

This was great. I didn't think it fit the theme much but it was an awesome game on its own merits. Card system seems like it'd be pretty expendable but still fun. I wonder if you might want a timer on making moves to keep a better pace.

Panball by gillenew 2015-12-14T22:44:00

Liked it! The way that you fire your panda initially was unintuitive since you had to click on him and I thought you had to click anywhere. Great graphics!

Forks and Porks by tanis 2015-12-14T16:40:00

Seems pretty easy. Pig snorts get obnoxious pretty quickly. I did like that you had little audio bits for everything we're doing in the game. Threw an exception on exit.

Growing Ice by petercraft 2015-12-14T22:18:00

I played another jam game with nearly identical controls (get bigger / smaller and navigate narrow gaps), but this had the breaking obstacles based on size. Love the look of this one but didn't get much out of the gameplay.

Models! by Obvious Industries 2015-12-14T17:16:00

This was great - really using the two-button controls to do something unique. I liked all the little humour bits as well. It's a bit tough to know how to win at first, but I think just playing it and letting what happens happen is the best way.

The Organization by Somnium 2015-12-14T16:15:00

I really like the premise of this game, but it seemed to suffer a lack of content. After I got past a couple choices, I got all the same stuff and it wasn't very well themed. I'm also not sure that the win / lose conditions are tweaked well? Even just clicking 'do the risky operation' ad nauseum it took a few minutes to lose due to scrutiny. A sound track might sell the mood, but it's mostly the choices.

Sickle & Sword by MSiddeek 2015-12-14T22:36:00

Fantastic! The spare aesthetics are spot on, I loved the story moments. It's a little mechanically unclear where your resources are coming from, but that didn't bother me much. When 'The End' came, I was bummed that there wasn't more!

Falling Aliens by Tutti Ankka 2015-12-14T16:06:00

Cool game - I like the tension between getting points and avoiding stuff. The destruction animation is funny. The collision detection seemed a little weird, like it was using a box though the aliens have a polygonal shape. Also I think the game could have been more interesting if not restricted to left / right controls, even though that was the theme.

ANTI-THUNDER by jamaster96 2015-12-14T16:45:00

Maybe I don't get it 'cause I didn't play with someone else. The game seemed to hang every time after I got to a certain height. The mechanics are nicely on theme, though.

Durples Christmas Adventure by wuppy29 2015-12-14T16:29:00

Clever alignment with the theme! Once I got jumping I had a few instances where I didn't notice that I ran out of jumps. Also I can't grow or shrink when not on the ground seemed weird. I got a little confused that some wall dies weren't ok to touch and some were. I guess I really liked this, but the biggest complaint is that it feels like a memorization of what obstacle is coming up rather than reacting to things.

War-O-Matic by Arowx 2015-12-14T17:40:00

Like the concept. Seems like the enemy dudes were way stronger than what I have access to. Could have used an explanation of the resources available but I figured it out.

MONSTER KING by rogberth 2015-12-14T22:13:00

Seems like a competently executed platformer, but I couldn't find anything especially interesting about it. The down level was pretty trick 'cause I didn't realize until a few tries in there were ice spikes on the ground.

LD35 — Shapeshift

PERMUTATE by TravisChen 2016-04-19T14:04:00

The game really shows off that it is something different right away! I feel like the controls are intentionally frustrating, which adds to the mood, but takes away from the fun for me. Great job!

doppel trouble by blob 2016-04-23T01:18:00

Very nice job. Sneaking and eating people was definitely the highlight and could have stood on its own, but a progression system and parallel game is an interesting addition. Nice music and sound and great animations. Congrats on finishing. I hope you keep developing this.

I Have Brig Plans by reheated 2016-04-19T19:38:00

One of my favorites so far!

ShapeShiftShip by CheesyRamen 2016-04-30T15:46:00

Nice work and use of the theme. The biggest issue I saw was the collision between the objects--lots of awkward bouncing. But I can only imagine how hard it is to make that work with constantly moving pieces. Congrats on finishing!

The Amorphous Adventure of Blod by Croze 2016-04-20T04:35:00

Tackling the same levels with different protagonists is a nice idea. What the characters could do was very limited--slow shots and low jumps. The rocket definitely pushed the boundaries, although it wasn't so much fun to attack with. Nice premise, though. Congrats on finishing!

Space Junk by Wekaj 2016-04-20T03:59:00

This is great! TOUGH but great! (Although I just realized I didn't end up doing much rearranging.) I did find that the #2 pieces let junk through, so that's clearly useful. Nifty simple game and great execution. Congrats on finishing!

SLAM_SHIFT by Udell Games 2016-05-01T15:52:00

Well, I got to a point where I would die immediately after respawning, but until then it was pretty fun. Hard, but fun, and clever. Nice work, and congrats on finishing!

Doug's Existential Potato Paradox by Ryan Kline 2016-04-19T03:18:00

The art has a lot of character. I was hoping for a surrealist journey, but it ended up being mostly random and not as funny as the premise. I did appreciate the David Bowie reference.

Shadow of the Red Hand by andyman404 2016-05-03T13:12:00

Brilliant idea to be efficient with art assets, and well executed visually. Platformers are tough because the controls have to be really tight to feel good, so that's where I would focus if you're going to continue work on this. Congrats on finishing! Nice work.

Slime Matter by HJSR 2016-04-19T03:10:00

Yeah, sorry. Currently this doesn't seem to run.

Super Sentinels by Brightstar 2016-04-23T01:04:00

Nice start to a game! Reflecting projectiles is a neat component. I wish the shifting did more and I got it earlier. And of course I wish there were more levels! Congrats on finishing this level.

Shift;:. by Anikki 2016-04-20T16:50:00

Lots of fun! I liked how you used the theme. My favorite part was that you could plan for the next shape.

Shadowshifter by Ilseroth 2016-04-20T02:32:00

I love the mood you were able to create!

SPACEPANTS by kallotec 2016-04-20T04:08:00

Seeing how far you can get on a tank of fuel is a clever, repeatable challenge. And I like thinking of reasons why he doesn't have any pants. Congrats on finishing! Nice work!

Give me Six by SpiritJZL 2016-04-19T03:08:00

I expected a much more basic game, but the way I capture four squares at once, and how overlapping squares become neutral was really original and made for a nice game dynamic. Nice work!

Fishy Fishy by littlelinc 2016-04-20T04:27:00

Great use of the theme and great frantic music. Congrats on finishing. Good job!

Tale of a Shifter by jelch 2016-04-19T14:37:00

Great concept! I really love how the art and design combine. My only complaint is the lack of feedback for what each shape did.

Inner Beast by 4B 2016-04-19T03:02:00

I got to the title screen, but don't know how to start the game.

Shape Shifted by Simple Potential 2016-05-01T15:37:00

I really freaked out when I saw different colors and wasn't sure what they meant. But I figured it out quickly enough. Does a good job of lulling you into feeling like you're competent, then a red block falls and you freak out hammering on keys and screwing yourself up. Congrats on finishing. Nice job!

Dr. Deckenstein: An Adventure in Severed Parts by quill18 2016-04-20T03:07:00

Watching the live stream helps keep focused on the Jam!

I love deck building games, but I was a little disappointed in this one. My favorite part of deck builders is choosing which cards to keep, and which ones to pass on. This game didn't give enough choices for me to plan a strategy or avoid bad cards very much. I think it could with a little work.

The execution was great. It is no simple thing creating an entire card game from scratch in a weekend (I've tried). You got the theme spot on, and the graphics are very clean.

RhythmicalCreation by lycoris102 2016-05-03T13:18:00

Really nicely set up, challenging, great song. Congrats on finishing! Nice work!

Who Are You And What Are You Doing Here?? by Shatter Point Studios 2016-04-19T04:56:00

Seems like a great concept. I got stuck in several places, unable to get out of a screen or dialogue. I liked the combination of a top-down map and the illustrated scenes for looking for clues. Wish I could have gotten further. Congrats on what you created!

Mutant Chicken Death Jam by norseware 2016-04-19T05:37:00

Fun game! I didn't care for the SFX, but the visual style was great.

ShapeShiftSaurus Rex by rhastapunk 2016-05-01T15:43:00

Boy, sorry to say I found this way too hard. I needed more forewarning as to what's coming and maybe even fewer forms. Forms (and their respective enemies) could be introduced one at a time. Still, the art is absolutely wonderful and the concept is great. Congrats on finishing!

Second Hand by apalade 2016-04-23T01:12:00

Great stuff! The premise is great and I felt like there was a lot to explore and try in a small space with only a dozen objects or so. I had a hard time mastering the controls and the robot never moved how I expected. Also tricky when LMB did two different things. Still lots of fun. Congrats on finishing! Keep developing it!

Papyrogami by Trickman 2016-04-19T02:53:00

Nice take on the theme!

Stockholmia by RttStudio 2016-04-19T03:31:00

Moving all your units at once is a clever change to a turn-based abstract strategy game like this. I kinda feel like you shouldn't be able to put a hill back in the same place you took it from. I never was very successful. It's pretty hard, but maybe I never learned the strategy. Congrats on finishing. Nice work!

Morflime by AndrewSP 2016-04-19T04:49:00

I'm not seeing any character or any actions when I try the controls. Hope I'm not missing anything. Looks cool.

level dog by Remynfv 2016-04-19T04:33:00

Very fun. You did a good job creating challenging patterns, and I liked the surprise of the boss battle (I'm guessing there's another I didn't get to). Congratulations on finishing. Nice work!

LD36 — Ancient Technology

The Wendigo by Mothdan 2016-09-10T02:51:00

Haha, that was fun. The graphics were solid. The game play was engaging, the music was good. Sound effects were good. I have no complaints. Thanks for a great game!

CAN KITTEH HAS YUMMIES? by Muel 2016-09-10T02:46:00

That's cute. The art is nice. The only thing I think it lacks is challenge. The items drop at a decent rate, but there is no real goal. That might be something to expand on. Like after collecting 50 items, they drop more quickly, or they add things like cat nip which makes you impervious to the boots. IDK. Just some ideas. Thanks for a super cute game.

Aqueducts of Solomon by LoneSpelunker 2016-08-30T17:51:00

Wow! Great polish. I read some comments wanting more explanation, but I felt the game explained itself nicely.

I love the art style, and the game play is complicated enough to make me think about placement and resource management.

The Journey by Mekuri 2016-09-09T21:24:00

Love the concept! I adore horror games. I thought the camera was a bit hard to control. And I think it might be better to have the mouse control the bike as that was my intuition at the beginning. Some cricket sounds would really add to this I think. I love your graphics. I kept getting caught by the monster character. Thanks for the game!

BG BLU by Satyre 2016-08-31T02:10:00

I love the visuals! The web version doesn't run very well at all, and it was weird to have the built in player open another site.

WindPowered! by Guennor 2016-08-30T07:06:00

Excellent Graphics! I particularly liked the humor.

I liked the game a lot. The balloon is hard to control. Maybe it would get better with practice, but I think you should tune it more. Some of the obstacle appear to block the entire screen, which is confusing.

Ancient Drone by komilll 2016-09-09T21:14:00

I really like the concept of this game, however it is a really hard start. That first jump is killer and I never figured out how to get past it. I was always just a hair too short. I also dislike that I couldn't figure out how to move the ball around so I was stuck with only shooing from behind which was enough to frustrate me. Some music or a wind sound in the background would really help add to the feeling of isolation. Thanks for the game! :D

Five Ancient Keys by Cody Hansen 2016-08-30T07:16:00

Neat Game! I was able to beat it more through trying everything rather than thinking things through. I felt the controls were frustrating since I had to use one button to interact and another to close. I also kept wanting W to interact as well.

WakeUpCall() by quill18 2016-08-31T01:05:00

Great game! I really enjoy the choice between using the bucket and web cam early on. The energy system is very punishing.

LD37 — One room

#BUTERATOS by PolygonTeam 2016-12-14T19:47:00

Great sound, art, mood! I felt like the gameplay was a little repetitive, but it had some good dodge moments.

Tower of Doom by Levin 2016-12-13T03:38:00

Some nice concepts and hectic moments. The controls felt off, and the physics did very weird things. Great art!

Code Red by oultrox 2016-12-14T19:54:00

Amazing game! You knocked it out of the park in style. Dramatic opening, good controls, and intuitive mechanics. The only thing I didn't like were the key bindings, but I admit you did a good job of teaching them.

Smallest Dungeon by Reuno 2016-12-15T01:58:00

Super clean and polished! Great game, my only complaint would be that it is hard to see the outcome of my choices.

A normal teenage life... by Tipyx 2016-12-14T19:21:00

Love the humor. I liked exploring all the different options at different times to manage the four gauges.

Heavens Inc. by komjaur 2016-12-13T03:09:00

Well humanity is now extinct... Fun game, great art, interesting music, and humorous situations. My only problem was some of the questions were too long and repeated.

Cure4Life by Gipzo 2016-12-20T19:58:00

Awesome game! I love the animations, art, and gameplay. The time pressure when upgrading/ect while zombies are slowly approaching works really well. My only complaint is the pacing is really slow, and it is really slow with no real pressure for a long time.

4/4 Room by Remicy 2016-12-17T23:48:00

Fun Game! I liked the choice of how to change the room. My only real complaint was it felt like too much of the level would spawn behind walls. Once I used my first two wall breakers I never saw another, but was usually trapped.

Garden Chamber by guckstift 2016-12-14T19:30:00

Crazy flying cats, neat gardening game. It was hard to understand the difference between plants. The first time I just planted all of one type and didn't know what else to do.

Umbra Exitus by Umbra Team 2016-12-15T00:03:00

Alarm trap is devastating... maybe I shouldn't press the big red button. Love the visual style! The controls reversed on me once.

LD52 — Harvest

Homunculus by Iluvatar 2023-01-10T23:08:57Z

Beautiful game. The potion mixing was fun, and gave a good feeling when I got it correct. Thanks for the game.

The Orchid's Edge by Cornflowerblue 2023-01-14T01:40:06Z

Wow, this is impressive for a game jam. Lovely art, and some interesting areas to explore. I didn't realize I could lock on until seeing the pictures after I had already fully played. Thanks for the game.

Crop Circle by Rulrite 2023-01-10T02:56:21Z

Fun game. I had to stop and go read outside the game to know the controls, and was very confused until I did. Once I understood what to do, it was a very polished experience. The chaos made it hard to understand if I was doing good or not. Thanks for the game!

Souls harvest by PlusMinus 2023-01-11T18:23:32Z

Fun game! I loved the graphics, and the music fits well. I used a lot of the traps, as they felt more persistent than upgrading skeletons that would die. I appreciated the choice of cards at each death level, as without it I wouldn't have felt like I had any choice agency. Thanks for the game!

Harvest of the Gods by jitspoe 2023-01-11T04:08:25Z

I loved the writeup that went with this game. My only struggle was with the controls, but it was interesting to hear how this was made. Thanks for the game!

Flush U by dry-squid 2023-01-10T22:49:19Z

Wow... that was... something else. Definitely different than any other game I have played in LD before. Props for adding multiplayer. Thanks for the game!

Shroomer Caves by Martynas 2023-01-13T01:57:35Z

Great game! Everything was well polished. The art, gameplay, and sound worked well together. The upgrades were fun, as it let me feel a lot stronger by the end. Thanks for the game.

Desdamona by Zebu 2023-01-09T06:58:16Z

This was a great experience. I had the bug with high resolutions, but that made some of the puzzles more interesting with part of the level hidden. I was still able to beat it, and I really enjoyed the dialog between each level. A few of the puzzles were interesting, but I would have loved to see more "a ha" moments, even at the cost of fewer levels. Thanks for the game!

Barvest: The Iconic Bug Harvest of 2005 by picross 2023-01-10T23:31:20Z

Great game. I love the style, and the swinging mechanic was a lot of fun. Very impressive to do a full 3d platformer.

Brainma by 8enB 2023-01-10T23:13:47Z

I enjoyed the run animations of the humans, and the direction of the art in general. Thanks for the game!

Bearly Fitting by jamdong15 2023-01-10T18:00:11Z

Excellent Game! The intro was super cute. I was a bit confused until I went and read outside of the game that you could rotate the pieces, it would have been nice to have them visible somewhere in game. I wish I could have seen the shape of the food when on the right side, for convenience. I really liked the idea that certain food can't be next to other food. Thanks for the game!

Yamsylvania by 0xWAVY 2023-01-10T22:57:59Z

Nice style and music. I liked that the reload required moving around the level.

Boar'd'Hell by Blublu 2023-01-10T02:47:45Z

Fun game, keeping track of all the controls leads to chaos. I loved the boar in a wig.

Money grows on trees by Fluburbio 2023-01-09T07:10:32Z

Love the art style, and fun to see another person do a clicker style game :D. I was able to get super rich pretty fast with just apples, and I almost didn't notice that there were other types. Thanks for the game!

Kobold Fishing by Gawain Doell 2023-01-11T06:06:07Z

Yip Yap! What a shiny game! I loved the character the game has! Thanks for the game.

Soul Harvester by Accatosh 2023-01-13T22:28:03Z

Nice little game. It is definitely hard to stay still long enough to harvest without a monster killing you, especially when the ranged enemies appear. Solid shooter for a game jam, thanks for the game.

LD55 — Summoning

Devotion - A fairytale by daandruff 2024-04-15T21:05:38Z

The mood was excellent. Thanks for the game.

The Klent by sirJupitron 2024-04-17T13:30:53Z

A fun little game with a good progression of difficulty and neat platforming. I was a bit confused the first couple times Dino disappeared, so some kind of timer would have been helpful. Thanks for the game!

Toad-O-Mental by WMute 2024-04-18T04:24:56Z

Lovely graphics. I was able to overwhelm the enemy once I read the details and realized I could plant earth toads on the mana spawners. Thanks for the game.

Dwarven Escape by zKlau 2024-04-18T04:28:26Z

Great game! I love the feel of the art, especially the cover. Thanks for the game.

CHAZM by amarokczukay 2024-04-15T18:24:29Z

Cool game! I love how clean and consistent the art style is. The different types of shots were fun to play with. The music was also nice and fitting.

Poizon Pets by LeiGGaRFeeD 2024-04-15T18:40:30Z

The art looks great! I was able to get all 10 pets. Thanks for the game.

Slaymore by Joshua Miller-Pio 2024-04-17T22:50:12Z

Beautiful game. I chuckled at the jump sound. Others mentioned the controls being floaty, and I would agree. I really liked the concept of summoning monsters to help you, I think it is a good enough idea to remove the player's sword completely and just focus on summoning, dodging, and platforming. Thanks for the game.

Burger Ritual by meylish 2024-04-22T03:45:22Z

It was great to see someone else make a cooking game. The art is simply fantastic. Thanks for the game.

Conjure Command : Path of Chaos by Gunsolo 2024-04-15T18:31:51Z

Cool game! I like the idea of the arrow game to summon creatures to go fight. The only thing that confused me was what happened if I input a combination when I still have a creature next to me. The arrows showed up but the creature didn't. I would have liked to be able to summon more monsters if I am faster. Thanks for the game!

The wizard penguin by leozero 2024-04-15T21:08:33Z

Interesting concept. I like the color coding to decide which shield to use for which enemy is closest. I wish the combos were closer to the center of the screen so I didn't have to look back and forth so far. Thanks for the game.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

The King's League by frozenfire92 2018-04-24T03:56:54Z

Neat game! I really liked finding the magic spell.

The combat felt a little "war of attrition" for melee. I would have loved to be able to hit an enemy and roll away before they attack back. You can definitely get behind others that are fighting, but it didn't feel as good to me.

Good job with the variation of weapons. I know it is hard to add that kind of thing in a Jam.

Great job!

LD41: Battle And Card by Dinwy 2018-04-24T04:21:48Z

Nice combo of genres, I would never think of these as compatible. I enjoyed the models. I was a bit confused since I couldn't figure any way to plan what card I would play other than picking randomly and hoping for the best. It would be nice to have some hint to play off of, like knowing the enemy is looking down means either low kick or low counter. The game feels nice when playing the cards and watching the action. The scroll bar for the log was a little awkward, but it was really good to be able to read what happened. Great job!

To the days with you, Piano by Luciax 2018-04-24T04:13:37Z

Crazy game! I loved the visuals. My only real complaint was it was really hard to get used to [A] moving left, but [D] didn't. I wish there was some control scheme that didn't break years of WASD muscle memory and allowed for the keyboard keys.

There was so much to focus on, it was really hard to do both at once. I quickly either stood in place and played piano or dodged and ignore the piano. It was really hard to hit any enemies since they would block your fire with there own.

Great job!

The Colossal Carrot Caper by rush 2018-04-24T03:43:25Z

Fun game! I appreciate the zoom in the start since the sight when playing is limited, especially anything south of you. I had to try not to listen to the music to stay synced to the dots.

The perspective was an interesting choice. It makes the game feel very different, which is a good thing, but it skews the range of vision.

I wish there was some kind of reward for continuously hitting the beat.

Great job!

AsteroidCraft by schsam 2018-04-24T05:03:20Z

Neat game! The controls are really nice and polished. The graphics are clean. Gameplay was fun. My only complaint was there are times when you only have 1 or 2 units left, and destroying anything becomes tedious.

Puzzle Dungeon by Crsrc 2018-04-24T04:30:10Z

I loved the art! I have played a lot of puzzle/rpg games, but I agree that they are pretty incompatible. I focused more on the puzzle part and ignored the fight part, and it seemed to work since I won. The moss was more annoying that hindering. I had a little trouble sometimes when I would lay down the blocks and an unexpected match would go off first instead of the one I planned.

Overall, great game!
