Great game! Nice mood.

Great game! Nice mood.
Great game! Really solid mechanics. Wish I could test the multi-player part.
So tried to play the game, and I get to the second light and the character won't move. I tried jumping and all possible commands. :) Good luck!
Great audio and gameplay!
Fun game!
Interesting idea. Love the art. One of the signs on the second level is to high, the text is off the screen. When you click the moves in your queue to change them, it doesn't work unless you click a ton.
Can't download, mediafire took down the link...
trying to run from command line gives me java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError for the cross platform and windows
Love the game! Reminds me a lot of spore.
Camera was a little too crazy. I like the idea, and the skateboard was neat!
Amazing Game! I love everything from the concept to the ending. I was feeling really bad for all the probes I left behind... so I went back and made sure to collect them all at the end!
I really liked the wall jumps and the wheels in the background. Sweet game! Why does the level loading take so long?
I love the sound when you beat the level!
Sweet game. I love the endless dungeons. When you fall a long distance your camera loses the player.
Neat game! I love the graphics. It was a little hard to hit anything not on a 45 degree angle.
Nice game. It is a lot of fun. At first learning the controls is a little bit of a chore, but after that this is fun. I like especially how you can gain seconds back so that you can play longer. Very good use of the theme. :)
Loved the ending! Game was very solid.
Neat game! Love the pirate ship.
Awesome game! Total boxes used: 54. I love the lighting and graphics. Best part was using previous attempts to your advantage to beat the level!
Really nice game! I love the top down dungeon explorers. I wish there was some way to see how much health I have left. The grid the player walks on is different than the tiles on the floor, which was a little confusing.
:D
Mmmm, played this game while having dinner. I liked how you have to turn around to shoot. Controls are great, and the graphics really good.
Nice game! Loaded and ran, but when I got to "press esc to run again" it gave me this error:
org.newdawn.slick.SlickException: Game.update() failure - check the game code.

Why I always drop Grog? I never know. Great game!
Lots of fun to swing, although at times the controls react a little strangely. If you can get a good swing going then it is nice. Sometimes when you go to the next stage the enemies just spawn on top of you and you go from full health to dead without any chance to do anything, which can be frustrating. Great job!
Fun game! I love this kind of thing. Had a lot of fun bouncing around the maps. My only issue was you had to let go of the jump button before it would let you wall grab. Great job!
I sacrificed my only friend :(.
Failed to run on Windows 8
Wonderful idea. I love how the game gives me a feeling of discovery by making me explore without light.
Overall great art. The dogs are so friendly looking, but they are traps! Nice game over screen too! HAHA!
Nice style. The part that says audio is required at the beginning is a large hint.
Really neat game. I love the overall look of it. It was a little weird getting used to the controls at first. The gun was hard to aim and didn't seem needed. I loved the ability to roll, but I never felt like I needed it. The random items in the background looked amazing. The movement was very fluid.
I love his face when he is looking sad.
Link just takes me to a white screen on Chrome.
The Ludum Dare deadline killed me!
Wonderful game. Very well designed and executed. Lots of polish.
Neat look to the game. It I like the different layers of background.
Really near! Love the lighting and getting crushed.
Really neat! Love the lighting and getting crushed.
The game didn't move past October. But up to that it was compelling and interesting. Good job!
Love the look and the mechanic!
Love it! Really fun gameplay. It was neat finding a bunch of different guns. Music was perfect as well.
Love the clean art. I admit I lit myself on fire several times just to watch the animation...
Love the music and the screen presentation.
Brilliant! The cat boss was really cool at first, but then took to long to re-fight over and over until I learned the pattern.
@Kim Thanks for taking the time to beat it! I see what you did there with hat comment :)
That's not a moon, it's... our robot overlords? This felt more like a sublime experience than a game. :). Some criticisms, even though I really liked it:
Iou suffer from the adventure game problem. The gameplay devolves into "click all the things until I find the correct one"
The actions you perform don't seem to mean anything. This game could have had the same effect by just being a movie that you watch. It would have been better to make the gameplay mean more than just "what I have to do to continue." Sometimes I wasn't even sure what I had done. Maybe you could have given the player two obvious choices and letting them pick one.
I felt that there were times that the game was showing me something cool, and then there were times that the game was waiting for me to do something. I think the cursor could have told me when I need to be doing something and when I can just watch the amazingness.
Sweet! Now I just need someone to play with :)
Love this game. It was a lot of fun ganging up my ships on them. Very polished.
Neat idea. I like how you have to use the ladders to jump higher.
Neat game! Very polished platformer.
I really liked the jumping and grabbing mechanics. I enjoyed the levels where that was all you had to deal with the most. The grabbing the ceiling throw me until I figured out you could do that. The mechanic where you can jump after dropping was very well explained, I think the grabbing of the side and ceiling just needed similar treatment.
I hated the eye, it basically just meant you couldn't play the game for half the time. Waiting isn't hard or challenging, but it is frustrating.
I don't think this fits the theme (I did see the ending, and it seemed like the story was tacked on at the end). But that doesn't stop it from being an awesome game :).
I escaped the dungeon! Really like the way you used the theme. Similar to my game :). Really cool effects when transitioning rooms.
Amazing. The level of polish in the art, tutorial, and mechanics is not often seen in LD.
Really neat game! I love the graphics, but it is hard to see them since they are small. I know the theme was "one screen", but 3/4th of the screen space was black and not used all at once. Also the buttons in the tutorial area were mismatched :P. I loved chaos of dodging all the different attacks, especially the spider thing.
Really liked the game. So much inspiration from metroid :D. Boss fights were fun and interesting. The only think I didn't like was how small everything is. I understand it is the theme but I really wish the game had just scrolled and been view-able.
Reminds of me snow crash. Is it bad I expected them to kill me if I didn't delivery the pizza within the 5 seconds I was given? :D Cool game, but it could use some more challenge other than time.
Well that escalated quickly...
Amazing game. I loved the use of the theme. I am sad that you took so long to introduce it, since it seems like some people won't give enough time to figure it out.
The damn dots come back! Nice game.
Neat game! Interesting controls give the game a unique feel, but might be hard for some people to deal with.
Sweet entry. The controls were hard, but they made sense once I got the hang of them. There was a bit of flailing around in the beginning trying to figure them out. The ranged attack seemed useless since I had to be jumping to use it and it didn't seem to kill them as fast as the sword. The white guy was really neat the way he pathed around the entire screen. Great game :).
Interesting game. I like the story telling the comes from the missions.
The force was not with me. The difficulty goes up real quick.
Sweet game! Thanks for the comments on my game :)
So I am playing a game about an office working playing a game about a fairy playing bomberman. Brilliant. The first thing I did was destroy my snowman.
Awesome Game! "Try to collect all the snow"? Ouch :)
Neat game! I wish I could do more than just defend though...
Fear rainbow dog, destroyer of the world! Only being able to fire left/right felt artificially constricting. I liked how the screen got bigger and you never lost your sense of progression. I loved when you got the player to put his fingers on the controls at the start. Fun game!
Great game! I came here after reading your comment that our games were similar, and it is true! I got nothing on your great sound effect though... :)
Awesome Game. I love the combination of tower defense / shooting. Very polished for LD :)
Sweet Game! I really like the graphics and music. The death particles for the mutants are a nice touch. The game crashed while I was fighting the floating mechanical eye monster.
Sweet graphics! I had difficulty aiming the screws. The fire sound was neat.
The controls are a bit strange to work. But the game itself is pretty fun. I really enjoyed getting to throw food at people. Thanks for the game!
Interesting concept, but a bit repetitive. Wasn't able to get past the walls of text. Thanks for sharing though.
40 well trained rams later... great game! Controls are very smooth, which is essential for a game like this.
Hello, thanks for the great game. You got a good scare out of me. Congrats. First, I love the atmosphere of the game. The sound effects are top notch. Love it. Second, I think I might have broken the game though, I some how ended up outside of the main wall I think. I'm not real sure. Either way, I ended up in a real fuzzy area and no boundaries. Maybe I didn't look long enough for the proper exit. Finally, this was pretty fun. A suggestion for expansion would be to add some story telling elements. This could be a really fantastic little game with a bit of story. Cheers!
Really interesting game! It crashed on me once. I liked doing strategies centered around getting a ton of units and then killing them all to make one big one.
Letting the player know that the character moves with the arrow keys would be a bit helpful. Otherwise this was a pretty cute little game. The battle is a bit confusing because you can just hold down Z and stab people, and the orientation of the player to the enemies makes stabbing them a bit difficult. Otherwise thanks for a fun game.
Really great gameplay! It is giving me flashbacks to the "You only get one" theme. The controls were spot on, and the messages when you combo/catch/bounce really added a good feel.
I like the game. The color scheme and art style are picturesque. It could use a little refinement for the controls, but I like how the boss mechanics and charge attacks work.
Really great idea! The boss was quite difficult, and it took me a while to figure out I should break the pots to make him easier. The controls feel great and the teleportation is very satisfying.
This could use a bit of proof reading. The text has many "tense" issues that require the player to reread and makes playing a bit tedious. Otherwise I would say this could be a neat idea. I love the idea of a "choose your own ending" type game. Great job with this. :)
Amazing artwork! I feel like the puzzles were a bit lacking, but it was a joy to play.
Wow, this really killed my FPS when spamming Ground Fork. Fun game!
Love the graphics, especially the mood with the music and cherry blossoms. I did see some comparisons with male prostitution (getting paid with each lover). I liked how it got more complicated with mechanics like the joke. IRL all my jokes are bad...
I really like the music.
Couldn't play this because I didn't have the proper MSVCP dll.
Really cool concept, but I couldn't figure out how to control him. It's too bad because the rest of the graphics and audio and such were excellent.
This is just very confusing to play. I like a good complicated simulation game as much as the next guy, but it was too hard to make sense of what was going on here. I did stick with it for a good few minutes, too!
Looks and sounds great; neat variation on the doodling game we've all played. I felt like the controls weren't responsive enough for the speed of play. I also ran into situations where my ship turned without my inputs and I didn't understand why; I get that it has to turn at the edges but it would also sometimes do it when hitting triangles I'd already made.
This was great. I didn't think it fit the theme much but it was an awesome game on its own merits. Card system seems like it'd be pretty expendable but still fun. I wonder if you might want a timer on making moves to keep a better pace.
Seems pretty easy. Pig snorts get obnoxious pretty quickly. I did like that you had little audio bits for everything we're doing in the game. Threw an exception on exit.
I played another jam game with nearly identical controls (get bigger / smaller and navigate narrow gaps), but this had the breaking obstacles based on size. Love the look of this one but didn't get much out of the gameplay.
This was great - really using the two-button controls to do something unique. I liked all the little humour bits as well. It's a bit tough to know how to win at first, but I think just playing it and letting what happens happen is the best way.
I really like the premise of this game, but it seemed to suffer a lack of content. After I got past a couple choices, I got all the same stuff and it wasn't very well themed. I'm also not sure that the win / lose conditions are tweaked well? Even just clicking 'do the risky operation' ad nauseum it took a few minutes to lose due to scrutiny. A sound track might sell the mood, but it's mostly the choices.
Fantastic! The spare aesthetics are spot on, I loved the story moments. It's a little mechanically unclear where your resources are coming from, but that didn't bother me much. When 'The End' came, I was bummed that there wasn't more!
Cool game - I like the tension between getting points and avoiding stuff. The destruction animation is funny. The collision detection seemed a little weird, like it was using a box though the aliens have a polygonal shape. Also I think the game could have been more interesting if not restricted to left / right controls, even though that was the theme.
Maybe I don't get it 'cause I didn't play with someone else. The game seemed to hang every time after I got to a certain height. The mechanics are nicely on theme, though.
Clever alignment with the theme! Once I got jumping I had a few instances where I didn't notice that I ran out of jumps. Also I can't grow or shrink when not on the ground seemed weird. I got a little confused that some wall dies weren't ok to touch and some were. I guess I really liked this, but the biggest complaint is that it feels like a memorization of what obstacle is coming up rather than reacting to things.
Like the concept. Seems like the enemy dudes were way stronger than what I have access to. Could have used an explanation of the resources available but I figured it out.
Seems like a competently executed platformer, but I couldn't find anything especially interesting about it. The down level was pretty trick 'cause I didn't realize until a few tries in there were ice spikes on the ground.
The game really shows off that it is something different right away! I feel like the controls are intentionally frustrating, which adds to the mood, but takes away from the fun for me. Great job!
Very nice job. Sneaking and eating people was definitely the highlight and could have stood on its own, but a progression system and parallel game is an interesting addition. Nice music and sound and great animations. Congrats on finishing. I hope you keep developing this.
One of my favorites so far!
Nice work and use of the theme. The biggest issue I saw was the collision between the objects--lots of awkward bouncing. But I can only imagine how hard it is to make that work with constantly moving pieces. Congrats on finishing!
Tackling the same levels with different protagonists is a nice idea. What the characters could do was very limited--slow shots and low jumps. The rocket definitely pushed the boundaries, although it wasn't so much fun to attack with. Nice premise, though. Congrats on finishing!
This is great! TOUGH but great! (Although I just realized I didn't end up doing much rearranging.) I did find that the #2 pieces let junk through, so that's clearly useful. Nifty simple game and great execution. Congrats on finishing!
Well, I got to a point where I would die immediately after respawning, but until then it was pretty fun. Hard, but fun, and clever. Nice work, and congrats on finishing!
The art has a lot of character. I was hoping for a surrealist journey, but it ended up being mostly random and not as funny as the premise. I did appreciate the David Bowie reference.
Brilliant idea to be efficient with art assets, and well executed visually. Platformers are tough because the controls have to be really tight to feel good, so that's where I would focus if you're going to continue work on this. Congrats on finishing! Nice work.
Yeah, sorry. Currently this doesn't seem to run.
Nice start to a game! Reflecting projectiles is a neat component. I wish the shifting did more and I got it earlier. And of course I wish there were more levels! Congrats on finishing this level.
I love the mood you were able to create!
Seeing how far you can get on a tank of fuel is a clever, repeatable challenge. And I like thinking of reasons why he doesn't have any pants. Congrats on finishing! Nice work!
I expected a much more basic game, but the way I capture four squares at once, and how overlapping squares become neutral was really original and made for a nice game dynamic. Nice work!
Great use of the theme and great frantic music. Congrats on finishing. Good job!
Great concept! I really love how the art and design combine. My only complaint is the lack of feedback for what each shape did.
I got to the title screen, but don't know how to start the game.
I really freaked out when I saw different colors and wasn't sure what they meant. But I figured it out quickly enough. Does a good job of lulling you into feeling like you're competent, then a red block falls and you freak out hammering on keys and screwing yourself up. Congrats on finishing. Nice job!
Watching the live stream helps keep focused on the Jam!
I love deck building games, but I was a little disappointed in this one. My favorite part of deck builders is choosing which cards to keep, and which ones to pass on. This game didn't give enough choices for me to plan a strategy or avoid bad cards very much. I think it could with a little work.
The execution was great. It is no simple thing creating an entire card game from scratch in a weekend (I've tried). You got the theme spot on, and the graphics are very clean.
Really nicely set up, challenging, great song. Congrats on finishing! Nice work!
Seems like a great concept. I got stuck in several places, unable to get out of a screen or dialogue. I liked the combination of a top-down map and the illustrated scenes for looking for clues. Wish I could have gotten further. Congrats on what you created!
Fun game! I didn't care for the SFX, but the visual style was great.
Boy, sorry to say I found this way too hard. I needed more forewarning as to what's coming and maybe even fewer forms. Forms (and their respective enemies) could be introduced one at a time. Still, the art is absolutely wonderful and the concept is great. Congrats on finishing!
Great stuff! The premise is great and I felt like there was a lot to explore and try in a small space with only a dozen objects or so. I had a hard time mastering the controls and the robot never moved how I expected. Also tricky when LMB did two different things. Still lots of fun. Congrats on finishing! Keep developing it!
Nice take on the theme!
Moving all your units at once is a clever change to a turn-based abstract strategy game like this. I kinda feel like you shouldn't be able to put a hill back in the same place you took it from. I never was very successful. It's pretty hard, but maybe I never learned the strategy. Congrats on finishing. Nice work!
Haha, that was fun. The graphics were solid. The game play was engaging, the music was good. Sound effects were good. I have no complaints. Thanks for a great game!
That's cute. The art is nice. The only thing I think it lacks is challenge. The items drop at a decent rate, but there is no real goal. That might be something to expand on. Like after collecting 50 items, they drop more quickly, or they add things like cat nip which makes you impervious to the boots. IDK. Just some ideas. Thanks for a super cute game.
Wow! Great polish. I read some comments wanting more explanation, but I felt the game explained itself nicely.
I love the art style, and the game play is complicated enough to make me think about placement and resource management.
Love the concept! I adore horror games. I thought the camera was a bit hard to control. And I think it might be better to have the mouse control the bike as that was my intuition at the beginning. Some cricket sounds would really add to this I think. I love your graphics. I kept getting caught by the monster character. Thanks for the game!
Excellent Graphics! I particularly liked the humor.
I liked the game a lot. The balloon is hard to control. Maybe it would get better with practice, but I think you should tune it more. Some of the obstacle appear to block the entire screen, which is confusing.
I really like the concept of this game, however it is a really hard start. That first jump is killer and I never figured out how to get past it. I was always just a hair too short. I also dislike that I couldn't figure out how to move the ball around so I was stuck with only shooing from behind which was enough to frustrate me. Some music or a wind sound in the background would really help add to the feeling of isolation. Thanks for the game! :D
Neat Game! I was able to beat it more through trying everything rather than thinking things through. I felt the controls were frustrating since I had to use one button to interact and another to close. I also kept wanting W to interact as well.
Great game! I really enjoy the choice between using the bucket and web cam early on. The energy system is very punishing.
Great sound, art, mood! I felt like the gameplay was a little repetitive, but it had some good dodge moments.
Some nice concepts and hectic moments. The controls felt off, and the physics did very weird things. Great art!
Super clean and polished! Great game, my only complaint would be that it is hard to see the outcome of my choices.
Love the humor. I liked exploring all the different options at different times to manage the four gauges.
Well humanity is now extinct... Fun game, great art, interesting music, and humorous situations. My only problem was some of the questions were too long and repeated.
Crazy flying cats, neat gardening game. It was hard to understand the difference between plants. The first time I just planted all of one type and didn't know what else to do.
Alarm trap is devastating... maybe I shouldn't press the big red button. Love the visual style! The controls reversed on me once.
Beautiful game. The potion mixing was fun, and gave a good feeling when I got it correct. Thanks for the game.
Wow, this is impressive for a game jam. Lovely art, and some interesting areas to explore. I didn't realize I could lock on until seeing the pictures after I had already fully played. Thanks for the game.
Fun game. I had to stop and go read outside the game to know the controls, and was very confused until I did. Once I understood what to do, it was a very polished experience. The chaos made it hard to understand if I was doing good or not. Thanks for the game!
Fun game! I loved the graphics, and the music fits well. I used a lot of the traps, as they felt more persistent than upgrading skeletons that would die. I appreciated the choice of cards at each death level, as without it I wouldn't have felt like I had any choice agency. Thanks for the game!
I loved the writeup that went with this game. My only struggle was with the controls, but it was interesting to hear how this was made. Thanks for the game!
Great game! Everything was well polished. The art, gameplay, and sound worked well together. The upgrades were fun, as it let me feel a lot stronger by the end. Thanks for the game.
This was a great experience. I had the bug with high resolutions, but that made some of the puzzles more interesting with part of the level hidden. I was still able to beat it, and I really enjoyed the dialog between each level. A few of the puzzles were interesting, but I would have loved to see more "a ha" moments, even at the cost of fewer levels. Thanks for the game!
Great game. I love the style, and the swinging mechanic was a lot of fun. Very impressive to do a full 3d platformer.
Excellent Game! The intro was super cute. I was a bit confused until I went and read outside of the game that you could rotate the pieces, it would have been nice to have them visible somewhere in game. I wish I could have seen the shape of the food when on the right side, for convenience. I really liked the idea that certain food can't be next to other food. Thanks for the game!
Nice style and music. I liked that the reload required moving around the level.
Fun game, keeping track of all the controls leads to chaos. I loved the boar in a wig.
Love the art style, and fun to see another person do a clicker style game :D. I was able to get super rich pretty fast with just apples, and I almost didn't notice that there were other types. Thanks for the game!
Yip Yap! What a shiny game! I loved the character the game has! Thanks for the game.
Nice little game. It is definitely hard to stay still long enough to harvest without a monster killing you, especially when the ranged enemies appear. Solid shooter for a game jam, thanks for the game.
The mood was excellent. Thanks for the game.
A fun little game with a good progression of difficulty and neat platforming. I was a bit confused the first couple times Dino disappeared, so some kind of timer would have been helpful. Thanks for the game!
Lovely graphics. I was able to overwhelm the enemy once I read the details and realized I could plant earth toads on the mana spawners. Thanks for the game.
Great game! I love the feel of the art, especially the cover. Thanks for the game.
Cool game! I love how clean and consistent the art style is. The different types of shots were fun to play with. The music was also nice and fitting.
The art looks great! I was able to get all 10 pets. Thanks for the game.
Beautiful game. I chuckled at the jump sound. Others mentioned the controls being floaty, and I would agree. I really liked the concept of summoning monsters to help you, I think it is a good enough idea to remove the player's sword completely and just focus on summoning, dodging, and platforming. Thanks for the game.
It was great to see someone else make a cooking game. The art is simply fantastic. Thanks for the game.
Cool game! I like the idea of the arrow game to summon creatures to go fight. The only thing that confused me was what happened if I input a combination when I still have a creature next to me. The arrows showed up but the creature didn't. I would have liked to be able to summon more monsters if I am faster. Thanks for the game!
Interesting concept. I like the color coding to decide which shield to use for which enemy is closest. I wish the combos were closer to the center of the screen so I didn't have to look back and forth so far. Thanks for the game.
Neat game! I really liked finding the magic spell.
The combat felt a little "war of attrition" for melee. I would have loved to be able to hit an enemy and roll away before they attack back. You can definitely get behind others that are fighting, but it didn't feel as good to me.
Good job with the variation of weapons. I know it is hard to add that kind of thing in a Jam.
Great job!
Nice combo of genres, I would never think of these as compatible. I enjoyed the models. I was a bit confused since I couldn't figure any way to plan what card I would play other than picking randomly and hoping for the best. It would be nice to have some hint to play off of, like knowing the enemy is looking down means either low kick or low counter. The game feels nice when playing the cards and watching the action. The scroll bar for the log was a little awkward, but it was really good to be able to read what happened. Great job!
Crazy game! I loved the visuals. My only real complaint was it was really hard to get used to [A] moving left, but [D] didn't. I wish there was some control scheme that didn't break years of WASD muscle memory and allowed for the keyboard keys.
There was so much to focus on, it was really hard to do both at once. I quickly either stood in place and played piano or dodged and ignore the piano. It was really hard to hit any enemies since they would block your fire with there own.
Great job!
Fun game! I appreciate the zoom in the start since the sight when playing is limited, especially anything south of you. I had to try not to listen to the music to stay synced to the dots.
The perspective was an interesting choice. It makes the game feel very different, which is a good thing, but it skews the range of vision.
I wish there was some kind of reward for continuously hitting the beat.
Great job!
Neat game! The controls are really nice and polished. The graphics are clean. Gameplay was fun. My only complaint was there are times when you only have 1 or 2 units left, and destroying anything becomes tedious.
I loved the art! I have played a lot of puzzle/rpg games, but I agree that they are pretty incompatible. I focused more on the puzzle part and ignored the fight part, and it seemed to work since I won. The moss was more annoying that hindering. I had a little trouble sometimes when I would lay down the blocks and an unexpected match would go off first instead of the one I planned.
Overall, great game!
