Not a bad idea, seen a few games like it this jam (not that you copied somebody, it is just a common design premise). I think if bees were a bit more common and maybe if they shift directions or something like that, it would have been better but over all not too bad.
I like the general idea but would be much better if the fish could move up and down and had to try to catch the asteroids rather than just automatically getting all of them. "A" for effort though
Not bad! I enjoyed the 5 or 10 minutes I played (web version). Controlled really well. Followed the theme better than my entry probably did! Good job.
I guess I just don't get it maybe? There is a block that moves around but doesn't collide with anything. The motion is fluid so points for that but if it wasn't for my virus scanner telling me it was safe I might be concerned that it was a trojan. Sorry, just didn't get it. Points for simple graphics that are colored in a pleasing way.
An interesting little game. Took me a bit to figure out I was suppose to be doing something with a black screen that just said "Ducky" but once I pressed a key it was pretty smooth sailing. Less talking and more puzzles and I think you have a decent little game.
Lack of a losing condition kinda ruined it for me. Decent idea though.
A great idea executed pretty well. Haven't ever planned something like before. Not sure I'd call it fun, but worthwhile for a few minutes anyway. Graphics are done extremely well. I think some tutorial would have been nice, the first couple time playing I just let the scissors run straight up ;)
I really liked this one! Quill18 also got influenced my decision to give it a shot.
Not bad. the multi ball aspect is a good idea with multi flippers.
not bad, took me a long time to figure out what I was suppose to do exactly but eventually managed to get to 26 (score?).
Didn't get any audio, that was a bummer. It was strangely addictive though.
Not bad! Took me a bit to figure out that I was hitting low and high, I thought it was color coded or something like that. Once I figured it out though I thought it was pretty good!
This is a wonderful concept executed well, very unique.
Tried it several times and while graphically it loads, the A & D don't seem to move them around. Clicked on the game, pressed just about every key I could think of and they just stand there jittering.
Lunging seems to only work half the time unless i'm doing something wrong (entirely possible). Stopping with the right mouse button just seems to get me killed, don't see any fancy maneuvers. I love the concept and the graphics are good but I just kept getting eaten and lost interest quickly
I like the style in the image, links?
Overall a beautiful game. I did have some issues finding the bigger fish sometimes which made it less fun. But overall the design was good and executed pretty well
Simple, I liked it. Took me awhile to get going. Record was 5 i think. Lost interest quickly but for those 5 minutes or so it was good. Nice art and sound
Not to bad at all. I used the Web version on a windows box without any issues I could find. Bit difficult to avoid the archers but that's probably just because I suck at it :) I enjoyed it
Magnet button seems a bit meaningless since you have to keep it held down. Might work better if it was a timed power or something that you could only use once in awhile. Graphics ok but the lack of any sound (unless you get two bullets) was a bit annoying. I like the idea though
I might just suck extremely bad or don't understand it but every time I press "P" i see a screen with some squiggly lines and then it almost immediately says "You died".
You've one the internet for at least 15 minutes. Great little game. would be great time waster on phone where you use tilting to control it. Excellent Job! Only issue I had is there either was no sound, it was to quiet to be heard, or the sound was broken for me.
@tazdij: Sorry if controls were not clear. If you'd like to try again you can control the player by holding down the right mouse button and dragging the mouse on the screen. The player will move toward the mouse location. This uses his stamina, if you start to run out you'll need to fly into Heart bonuses or Booster bonuses. If in a pinch, release the right mouse button for a short period and you'll gain back stamina at twice the rate you lost it. Left click to use the Sonic Scream super power to kill all birds on screen.
@tayl1r & @PPiode, thanks! I enjoyed it but the 48 hours limit was definitely nerve racking. Next time think I'll stick to the normal Jam :)
For the record my high score is 31,405. takes practice for sure
@Taffaz - Yeah I wondered about that after publishing. Not sure it would be within the rules for me to slow those down at this point.
@Ace, totally agree and was going to go back and do that if I had time but I ran out. Right now it is basically up to pure chance, just randomly they spawn at a random location along the top of the screen. There is a timer that ensures one spawns at least every 20 seconds but I never had a chance to go back and do something differently. I was thinking about one occurring every X points and also have them fall at a much slower rate, possibly along some random wavy path to make it a little easier to get to them. Thanks for playing and for the feed back!
I really appreciate the feedback everyone. Please keep it coming, I plan to work on this game more for practice.
@samreid: Very good point. I hadn't considered Mac at all. I should recode it to look for the Fire buttons 1 & 2 so they can be remapped.
@Big Cow - Thanks, I've actually got the power-ups to fall much slower now and in a wavy pattern so I think that issue is taken care of. Not sure if I can have the other changes. Also, the star will make you invincible for 4 seconds. Not sure I can add these changes to the judgeable game but I'll update it after judging in case anyone wants to try it
Was able to play the Web Player version in IE. It isn't bad but exceptionally difficult past level 1. I never could get past the first red block on World 1 Level 2. No matter what I always hit the virus. I like the idea and the graphics looked good.
Not bad, seems like I'd have more fun if when I went to jump to another wall if I was forced to follow through rather than being able to pull back. Otherwise I liked it!
At first I thought it would go on forever and with no score visible I wasn't having much fun. But then when I finally stopped being able to reach any flied I realised I could lose so I went back and tried again. Not bad, I would have enjoyed more if there was sound and a score.
Not bad, a little difficult to figure out which ones I should let in and shouldn't. Fit the theme well and looks good good.
Love this game! Tidy it up a bit and you have a game to sell sir. For the record, I got Grade S. Is that good or bad? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-ffmjRLPVRET1N2R3RNQ2pJWGs/view?usp=sharing
Not too bad, I couldn't make it very far. When I collide with cars/walls (which I did a lot, lol) I was getting a lot of mesh collision errors in a debug window. Didn't seem to effect game play. Liked the art but the yellow was a bit much on my eyes
Looked nice, a bit difficult in areas. Made me a little ill but I didn't count that against you ;)
Sounded good, looked alright, but play-ablity was very difficult but I could just suck too. The hole always started at the top or bottom and the next hole comes to quickly to move to it to actually get past the second barrier. I enjoyed the concept but perhaps if you would have made it where the hole could appear in one of three spots and then when you tell it to move up/down it moves to a precise position within those three position options. This would have resolved the play-ability issue for me I think
I don't mind the game play, seems like it could be solid with some work. Where does the Shapeshift theme come into play? I didn't find anything on my adventure but maybe I missed it. I like the pixel effect when you destroy an enemy, that was pretty cool.
Not bad, simple but fun and addictive! Shameless plug for my game too ;)

Art wasn't bad, you should take some time to hash it out a bit even though it is too late for the competition.
Very well done indeed. I love Chess and this was an excellent twist! I would defiantly play a full game of it on my phone. You may already be considering this, but I'd suggest adding in not just levels but Daily Challenges. Maybe even allow your player base to submit challenges.
Graphics looked great. No sound is always a downer for me but that's okay. Seems like most of my hits never connected with the enemy and when I'd get him on the ground he'd just get back up after a minute and kill me. Never could find a way to actually kill the enemy completely, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I couldn't figure out what. Nice effort
Nice concept and use of the theme. Controls were a bit off for me and the collision was probably a little to perfect for this game, maybe circle collider would have worked better on the blocks, I actually managed to get blocks stuck in such a way that I could get through and had to start over. But over all, not bad. Sound was good too. Nice job on first entry!
Brilliant! Loved it!
Neat concept! My only issue is I think the instructions could have been a bit more clear but otherwise not to bad. I never could make it past when the triangles were added but I probably just suck ;)
Audio was good. Basic idea seemed sound. The player was always a black blob, I suspect this is because the sprite is being compressed and not being decompressed correctly. I've had that problem in Unity when working with WebGL. It was still playable though. Not bad.
Interesting idea that seemed to work well. Nice job
Not bad, a bit difficult perhaps.
So first let me say that I think this concept is one of the best I've seen in a while. I'd like to play a more hashed out version. The controls were a bit difficult to use since everything was clumped up in one spot, arrow keys for movement or changing shape would have been ideal so you could use both hands. That said, I had fun with this and while difficult I thought it was very clever.
So I like the style but I couldn't really figure out what I was doing :) When I'd get to 5 energy, the game would black out, it was still running but just completely black screen (I'm on Win10 if you want to try to replicate it). I rated based on what I saw though so don't worry about that.
Overall I thought what I got to play was pretty good! Nice Job!
Didn't rate, screenshots look promising but windows isn't letting it run, just hangs.
I never could get enough points to reincarnate but it wasn't bad. Would have been worlds better with some sound. Graphics look good, Kenney is great. Maybe some more time in development and it'd be more playable but right now I don't think it spawns enemies often enough to experience whole game and based on what I saw I think I'd have to kill myself in order to reincarnate. Nice idea though
Not bad. Kept locking up on me after two plays. Graphics were good, sound would have been nice. A bit difficult but fit the theme nicely
I'm not very good at these sorts of games and ultimately couldn't figure out what I was doing beyond reading notes and turning into a moth. But aside from that the mechanics worked really well. Controls were nice, animations were fluid, and graphics were done well, nice job!
Kudos on the procedural generation in a 48 hour window! Game was pretty cool, very nice concept and use of the theme!
It looks great, but I found the controls to be way too unresponsive and too numerous to be playable. I like the general idea though
Not to bad, a bit difficult to control but I kind of liked the game itself. Nice job especially on the sounds
Not bad. Graphics looked good.
Okay, once I figured out what I was doing I was having a pretty good time. Love the art style and concept, fits the theme really well! Sounds were good too. Only criticism I'd give is that there should be some sort of control description on the first screen, I had no idea what I was doing and had to come back to the description here in order to finally figure out that "X" attacked. Also, what do the red buttons do when you press them (the ones on the floor)?
Hey I really enjoyed this, I only wish it was longer :)
Some sort of scoring might of been nice and if you could come up with a way to randomly generate the layouts would be really cool but always leave your fans wanting more I guess :)
Okay at first I was thinking "what is the bull?" but after a few tries I kept saying, one more try, I can make it. It was much more fun and difficult than I thought it would be. Sound would have been nice. Good Job!
Not too bad! Intro was exceptionally nice but perhaps a bit long (yes I know I could skip it). It was a bit difficult, but otherwise fun.
@vootele, yeah audio is defiantly not my strong point and I was putting it in during the last 30 minutes of the compo :) Thanks for playing!
@Nomys_Tempar, I was sort of going for that casino/guitar hero style, I knew it would appeal to everyone but thank you for taking time to play. Life got in the way this time around so hopefully I can plan better for LD36 :)
@jcmonkey, thank you!
@AngerFork, I agree and will likely play with this concept a bit more, thanks
@Blobo I kind of agree but when I had others play it they thought it was too hard because it progressed too fast. I was hoping I got it to happy medium but reading the comments on here and what friends are telling me it looks like I still missed the happy medium, some say to slow others to fast.
@AnaGF - Thanks! Definitely audio could be better, it is not my strong suit at all.
I liked it but wasn't exactly sure what I was doing. I understood the mechanics but I couldn't figure out the end goal and just kept dying. But in any case, I did enjoy playing and might go back to play some more.
Not bad, strange little game but I kinda like it. Finally I got to see a Werewolf game for this theme, I've been so surprised there haven't been any yet :)
Simple and fun. I wish more entries were simple and focused less on the art and more on the gameplay. Nice Job!
Kind of cool once I figured out what I was doing. Sound would have been nice but otherwise pretty well polished. Nice Job!
Not too bad but not as good as your last entry. Love the animations and overall design. Missing sound is a bit of a let down, sounds are something I really like to see from you but I know you ended up pressed for time (as did I!). Some of the cards could have been better worded perhaps, such as Bonesaw... I assume that is always a bad card? I couldn't find a good use for it.
I kept winning but I have no idea why or what I was doing :p
An interesting game for sure. Backgrounds looked great
Can't play it because it is in the Unity Web Player which isn't supported by most browsers. If you're using Unity 5.3, you should be able to compile it to WebGL instead.
Nice job! Collision boxes were a bit big it seemed like but otherwise I loved it!
So I like the concept but couldn't play it because it is in the unity player rather than WebGL. Are you using Unity 5.3? If so, I'd suggest building it in WebGL instead then anyone can play it in any HTML5 browser. I refuse to install Firefox, sorry. If you upload another version, I'll be happy to rate!
Hey, thanks for the WebGL version! Gave it a go, I like it! Sound is great, takes me back to my Atari days ;)
Seems like the shapes come together a bit to fast, maybe an extra 5 seconds before it speeds up would be better but overall I really like the concept and design. Good Job on your first Ludum Dare!
I had a lot of fun with this. Only thing I didn't like was the sound when it was game over. Some sort of static sound? not sure if that was intended or a bug but it was pretty loud. Overall though, once I figured out I wasn't suppose to be shooting the peasants that were running toward me I had a good time :)
Hey not too bad. Took me a bit to figure out what it was I was doing exactly but once I did it was pretty good. Suggestion might be to change the color of the shapes (holes?) I'm running into, it was difficult to see the gray color
FYI - Can't load it in WebGL, out of memory error stating that you need to allocate more memory. So I downloaded the game. While it looks great and the concept of the shapeshifting was a great idea, I just really couldn't figure out what I was suppose to be doing after I changed to a rat > to dog > to cat. controls were a bit difficult to use.
Excellent game, not sure how well it fits the theme but the game itself is amazing! I played it for entirely too long :)
Were this to be released on Android, I'd play it a great deal
Very nice! Once I got the hang of it I was having some real fun. Nice Job!
So I want to first say good job on your first LD! In the future, you might want to avoid games that are only 2-player as it isn't always easy to judge a game when only 1 player is able to test it. Not all of us have the ability to ask somebody to test it out right away and the likelihood of somebody coming back to look later is probably not good.
That said, I tested it out with just me playing to get a feel of controls and such, I thought it played smoothly. Graphics had that vector style I like from old Atari games. Sound was good too, even if you didn't make them they were good choices. I like the idea a lot and wish I had somebody around to play with to test it better. A simple AI would have go a long way but I understand time restraints all too well :)
Not bad by any means but I do dislike games that are 2 player with no AI option for LD, to difficult to test when there is nobody around to help (which is always). Playing by myself wasn't really great. Needed sound, even crappy sound would have been great but I understand how time can get away.
Conceptually I like what I saw though!
I like the idea but some instructions would have been nice. I played for a few minutes before figuring out how it worked The animations were really good, nice job on your first entry.
Thanks all! I had so much more planned for it, I might indeed take it further.
@Mathiouza - I completely agree! Not my strong suit by any means but I still could have done better. One thing I believe though when I do a game for these contests is that sound is a must no matter what that sound is, I'd rather have crappy sound than no sound. Can't stand to play a game like Slither.IO simply because it has no sound (which is really sad)
Great game, a few bugs I noticed. Ball would slip through the flippers sometimes and when i'd manage to get the ball in the Oven the ball would get stuck off the left and behind the oven itself (sort of like it flew right threw the oven. Otherwise another pretty solid entry sir!
