The graphics is nice looking, I had some minor problems starting the game, I expected spacebar to start the game, and cursor keys didn't do anything.

josemwarrior 2016-04-18 22:28

Thanks, there is a .exe version, or you can try with another browser.

developtech 2016-04-18 23:13

Nice graphics. Also nice music and a good game taking in consideration that is a solo entry. Congrats!

Btw, I like the way you explain the mechanics, its very easy to understand it.

holdmeimscared 2016-04-19 01:34

Everything about this makes me happy.

I did get stuck on a level where there are 6 fruit in 1x1 gaps. I got large enough that I can't grab the last 2 fruit as my edge never contacts theirs when I roll over, I'm too large to leave the room, and I can't split. Ah well ;)

But I had a huge grin on my face the whole time. Very nice work!

vctr_seleucos 2016-04-19 01:45

Really nice game, good idea taking in consideration the theme and also that you work alone!

bubsypoochies 2016-04-19 10:54

Nice locoroco, well done! :)

adsilcott 2016-04-19 15:13

It's like the old Sonic bonus levels! Which I loved! Also some cool ideas with absorbing and splitting. Very fun!

mintarcade 2016-04-19 15:14

I didn't expect that game is so cool! Really awesome!

munchy2007 2016-04-19 15:22

Really nice game. Initially I couldn't figure it out, as the maps didn't rotate, but the character moved, seemingly randomly.

But then I ran it in Chrome instead of Internet Explorer and it worked perfectly.

Loved the gameplay, graphics and sound.

Well done.

vividreality 2016-04-19 15:23

That was sweet :) My mind wants the controls to be inverted, so for me it was pretty challenging to control haha

mrboxbox 2016-04-19 15:25

Great game! It was fun and left me craving for more. some sound effects would have been nice, but i guess no sound is better than terrible sound. I would love to see this be polished and expanded upon.

josemwarrior 2016-04-19 15:32

Thank you very much everyone for the nice comments!! :)) I'm very happy. If the game has good feedback I could make an extended version.

tatos 2016-04-19 15:51

Nice game.

oliver_mb 2016-04-19 17:04

I loved it, great fun!
Wanting to see more levels ^^

themightyteam 2016-04-19 19:17

The game improves with every screen. Well done!

judelco 2016-04-19 19:24

Now all is spinning around me. Cool mechanic & tutorial levels !

santiandrade 2016-04-19 19:50

Good design. It's so addictive!! I have not stopped playing since the first level... Congratulations, I think this game idea have a lot of possibilities.

tentacode 2016-04-19 20:05

Cool games and retro alert boxes :D nice tutorial based levels

seleb 2016-04-19 20:08

It's a nice game, but I found the browser popups used for the "level complete" messages to be pretty annoying.

clockwerkclover 2016-04-19 20:12

really cool game. On the last level I had a bit of a hassle with getting all the friends to the bottom and I think perhaps a "zoom out" button might be useful.

grooveman 2016-04-19 21:39

A straight-forward idea executed really well. I think the way you've got the arrow keys the wrong way around, though. Or at least my brain was working in straight opposite to how I wanted to rotate the level!

josemwarrior 2016-04-19 21:55

@GrooveMan yes, I think I could put an option in future versions to change the direction of rotation.
- Thanks all for comments!! :))

murderpunch 2016-04-20 00:25

Really fun and innovative game mechanic!

paploum 2016-04-20 01:36

Nice game, simple and effective. Well done! :)

sndr 2016-04-20 12:54

Cool little game! Nice mechanics and very cute graphics! :)

khanatos 2016-04-20 13:25

I apreciate a very good gamedesign. Specially in a "compo" game. Congrats. I think this game can grow into a fully product. There is a good learning curve. Really nice!

obsessivenotion 2016-04-20 13:39

Hehe that smiley face

pickensincorporated 2016-04-20 17:39

Ah, love Cameltry-style games :)
This one is pretty solid for a 48-hr game, and I like the absorbing and splitting mechanic! Strange choice of control, though, haha.

The thing I would gripe about is that it might not the camera fast enough, or at least it doesn't react to the changes fast enough. Sometimes I found myself holding down rotate trying to get to the centre, but the guy would just 'orbit' it, haha.

Good, though, and nice art and music!

matzigon 2016-04-20 19:48

Nice game! A bit too much spinning, but otherwise good. :)

karai17 2016-04-20 22:53

Great game! Clean up the art, come up with 50-100 levels, and sell it on mobile!

anaguilefdez 2016-04-21 00:59

Cool game, gameplay is original and addictive!

McFunkypants 2016-04-21 18:40

Great work! I started getting dizzy!

luquio 2016-04-21 18:45

what a nice gameplay! I also liked a lot the dificulty level progression, helps u catch up and learn while u play

josearias 2016-04-21 19:47

Nice idea, nice game. I miss a restart button but the game is awesome.

macronoid 2016-04-21 21:22

Great progression. You introduce the mechanics very well. It may get you dizzy, but the core mechanic is really solid and has a lot of potencial.

Great job.

sararycow 2016-04-22 02:07

Damn it this is fun! Graphics are a bit rough and controls could be calibrated for better response but gameplay is the thing here. Nice mechanics, good level design and good dificulty progression makes this a solid entry.

dssiege11 2016-04-22 09:36

Like someone else said it reminded me of the bonus levels in Sonic ;) It's simple but fun.

I tried the web version and when you reach your goal it shows a javascipt alert, an ingame popup would have been nicer ;) Apart from that you did a fine job :)

gillenew 2016-04-22 09:50

the game was fun, I managed to complete but I think it a bit challenging :)

dssiege11 2016-04-22 09:51

Forgot to rate ^^' Fixed now :)

tmpxyz 2016-04-22 09:53

Nicely executed idea. I would like it more if have a hires version.

schurtz 2016-04-22 09:54

Nice game, I love the mechanics of the movement!! Good job

ragnta 2016-04-22 10:06

Nice graphics and nice game. Good job!

ragnta 2016-04-22 10:10

Nice mechanics and nice game. Good job!

wan 2016-04-22 10:13

Nice job! I remember seeing your post about issues with the physics engine, I see you found a solution for when the player gets stuck between walls :)

I played, enjoyed and finish your puzzles, it was really fun to play! The graphics and audio worked well together and gave a nice atmosphere to it. Too bad you resorted to JS alerts to display some messages, I found they broke the immersion a bit.

Congratulations for your entry, I'm impressed by the stability of your game given how heavily physics-based it is! Had zero glitches playing it.

otixa 2016-04-22 10:27

I like the level design on this with the gradual introduction of new mechanics that need to be used in the levels. I feel like graphics could have been touched up a bit - especially the characters which have a white border around them. All in all well done and good luck!

pixelpotions 2016-04-22 12:09

Fun game and a nice amount of content! Liked the puzzles a lot and the music complemented the game! Would have been even better if there were more songs.

beard 2016-04-22 12:22

I liked the concept of this game. The game started to progress and become quite difficult. My only suggestion is to not display a popup on the page in between each level.

pinkindian 2016-04-22 14:15

I truly enjoyed your game. Awesome music, cute graphics and simple but solid gameplay. Great work!
Note: entering a goal and holding a rotate button set the next level spinning constantly. You can stop it by pressing the same rotate button, but if you let it run for a while it messed the directions.

hypp 2016-04-22 14:48

Very nice. I got a bit dizzy from spinning around to much.

xanjos 2016-04-22 15:04

Only gripe I had with the game were the pop-up dialogs that appear when you complete a level (Would have preferred it to be in-game instead) but other than that I loved the Loco Roco inspired gameplay.

ithildin 2016-04-23 02:41

Very solid entry. I loved the level design and progression, the cute graphics, music and in short, the whole game. Congratulations!

...but now I've become a bit sick with all the rotations @_@

And well, the javascript alerts when you completed the level were a minor annoyance.

caelanrp 2016-04-23 05:42

GOOD game. The mechanics were a lot of fun, but some of the level design was kind of frustrating. It seems like if you had the ability to view the whole level at once, it might make it a bit vertigo-inducing. Still a great entry.

2016-04-23 07:13

Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description

questionablequality 2016-04-24 06:36

It felt very Sonic Special-stage-esque which isn't a bad thing. The graphics are simple but they work, and the tutorial with the level is really well-understood. Unfortunatley I had a bit of trouble with getting into certain crevices, plus I grew a hatred of our 'friends' as they bounced me elsewhere like a purple pleb.

I played it in my stream last night @ 1:02:05 : http://www.hitbox.tv/video/991443

medidog 2016-04-28 20:39

The graphics are really intriguing and cute. The gameplay is quite dizzying, though, very hard to keep on playing.

geckoo1337 2016-04-29 05:25

Really interesting game with a fantastic physics. However, it seems to me that it could be more logical to invert controls. With more time, you could do something great with this project. Well done ++

egos 2016-04-29 05:51

well realized and polished
thanks for the explanation

tanis 2016-04-29 08:38

I so much enjoyed playing Locoroco back then! It's so nice that someone has taken that kind of mechanic and made such a nice game, well done! :)

v4lesti 2016-04-29 09:01

Cool game!

I think what was nice in Loco Roco and missing from this game is a sense of flow, where you just go fast and everything is smooth. For example, here I had to try 4 or 5 times just to get past the first level when you must split. Maybe you wanted a hard game, but I felt this part should have been easy (it looks like a tutorial after all)

Maybe changing the rotation speed could work. And the direction because currently, you actually have to press left to go right (and vice versa).

Don't get me wrong, this a nice entry for a solo Jam, I'd like to see an improved version one day :)

jin47 2016-04-29 10:20

Interesting game! I liked the idea and the way you implemented it.
Good job ! PS: I also read your post mortem and found it interesting.

jk5000 2016-04-29 10:22

Overall a great game.

apantaloni 2016-04-29 12:07

Nice entry, intuitive controls. The javascript popups in the web version feel a little weird, but that's a minor nitpick.

niklaas 2016-04-29 12:09

Nice take on the Locoroco mechanics ... the post-mortem write-up was a great read too! The browser pop-ups in the HTML version break the flow somewhat, and I think sound-effects for changing shape would really make this game pop! Great fun!

rynman56 2016-04-29 14:16

Fun game! Reminiscent of Loco Roco :)

beavlgames 2016-04-29 19:49

Great gameplay but even greater post-mortem. We've really enjoyed reading your #LD experiences. Cheers and congrats on your entry!

arvydas 2016-04-29 20:58

Really entertaining game, well, i can't play this for long because all this spinning and flash colors make my eyes hurt a little, btw really intresting idea and nice execution :D

taro 2016-04-30 01:15

I had some decent fun with the game. Personally, the game really made me dizzy, and I would have liked to have mouse controls instead of arrow keys so that I could angle the level more accurately. Additionally, is it just me, or is the momentum of the character really, really strong? After rotating the stage, I personally expect the character to fall directly downwards, and while the momentum from the previous movement will affect the character, only for a brief amount of time. Instead, I struggled to get the character to stop bouncing off of walls, and go downwards.

flummox2d 2016-04-30 17:41

I got dizzy rotating everything around :D Fun little game though, nice work! :)

bazkur98 2016-04-30 22:40

Looked nice, a bit difficult in areas. Made me a little ill but I didn't count that against you ;)

matmortatti 2016-04-30 22:50

Hello! Good game, man.

The concept is pretty cool, and I can easily see the potential if you are interested on expanding it.
Graphics and audio fit well in the experience :)

There were some minor things:
The lack of precision in the movement bothered me sometimes, but I guess it is hard to run away from it given the mechanics. Maybe if it was faster? Not sure.
Also, the game had some bugs at around stage 5 - physics got real strange there haha.

Congratulations for your entry!

lereveur 2016-05-01 00:02

Interesting puzzle, nice level design, goo idea, well done !

zondarg 2016-05-01 00:02

Very nice, cute protagonist(s) and indeed a little like loco roco, but very entertaining :D cool!

lanestp 2016-05-01 15:06

Fun game and well executed! I got pretty motion sick while playing though!

silkworm_sweatshop 2016-05-06 21:57

A lot of fun!

brainslugs83 2016-05-08 22:36

Headache inducing game mechanic is evil. Add to that, upside or spinning tutorial text, and browser pop-ups. I can't even...
