LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Double Kick Heroes by blackmagic 2015-12-29T14:49:00

Awesome game and music. We enjoyed a lot this game. I just sorry that the player can't enjoy of the zombies because of the drums (the player is too much focused on it) but still a very good game. Excellent.

Agent Hooker by Phoenix849 2015-12-15T12:59:00

Great game with nice graphics, fun gameplay and cleverly designed levels. It's really well polished for a 72h compo, congrats!

Some times we miss having a scroll option to see what's beyond the camera view, but quick restarts make it less painful to die. Great job!

Mobsferatu by CremaGames 2015-12-15T13:10:00

WOW! This is probably the most polished game we've seen so far. Production values are really great for a ludum dare entry, congrats Crema Game!

Reminds us of the classic Castlelian. A very smart use of 2 button controls and growing theme! Would had loved an endless mode so we could keep playing a while longer.

Enhorabuena chicos, está curradísimo.

Conga Master by BubsyPoochies 2015-12-15T16:20:00

We've been coding with that in loop :D

Conga Master by BubsyPoochies 2015-12-17T16:43:00

Many thanks for all the comments and feedback! We're really thankful you took the time to create some congas ;) Some of the features we had thought of had to be left behind due to the time restriction, but we decided to keep the conga project alive to make a more complete version :D Big thanks!

Kubble by MemoryLeek 2015-12-15T17:54:00

This is a very interesting game! It feels like a strategic version of locoroco, not platforming oriented but more puzzle solving. The mechanics have a lot of potential to create very complex puzzle based levels, would love to see more of this in the future. The only downside is the difficulty curve: it can be a bit too hard to understand in the beginning (lots of different platform types introduced at once), took us a while to get through the first puzzle. Nevertheless, it's a pretty awesome and very original game. Congratulations!!!

Rogue Bladers: Cradle of disaster by Deconstructeam 2015-12-15T12:06:00

Great artwork, great music, great ideas for the controls, although it can get kinda confusing in some situations. Blasting thugs with wheels and exchanging them with your friend felt awesome, you could build a dodgeball game on that!

Great job guys!!!

Zyx's Adventure by Husky 2015-12-17T09:37:00

Very interesting concept, at first it was a bit confusing but once you understand the controls the experience starts growing! It's impressive how many different actions you've managed to map into just 2 buttons, the game feels really agile and fast. Quite challenging too! Congratulations!

Harmony Bloom by Bensonance 2015-12-15T15:59:00

We enjoyed this one a lot, the mix between growing plants and harmonic sounds packed with nice pixel art graphics and a mysterious atmosphere makes a really pleasant experience. Would love to see this one growing further into a bigger game, very good job!!!

Much Gold by WitchBoys 2015-12-15T18:21:00

Congrats on the game guys, it's a really original concept and a lot of fun to play. The idea of using the gold both to get through the next level and to jump higher is great! You can get stuck in some levels though, but it's the kind of thing to expect when coding with a strict deadline. Lots of potential here, keep up the work for a complete version!

Heart Murmurs by Ludipe 2015-12-15T11:45:00

Awesome little game for being made in a couple of hours while presenting at the Digitall game event. The gameplay experience is rather short, but controls are tight and adds up for an interesting 2P challenge. Got ourselves over 700 points. Congrats Ludipe!

Mystic Temple by Tipyx 2015-12-15T16:34:00

The artwork in the game is absolutely fantastic! Tight controls, frenetic action and really fun, although speed might be a bit too high in our opinion and the fast scrolling makes us a bit dizzy when playing long runs. Fullscreen mode would be awesome, as well as a mobile version. Great job on this entry, congratulations!!!

growing darkness by rijnswand 2015-12-15T14:03:00

Great art and good atmosphere.

Growees by NickZangus 2015-12-15T15:20:00

Nice twist of the Othello game! Like a lot!

JUMPR by Supernaught 2015-12-17T17:04:00

This game is as cute as brutal! The game mechanic feels really polished and presentation-wise it's plain awesome: small details like the camera shocks and the particle systems make it visually stunning.

Difficulty is unforgiving, but it's also part of the fun. We've competed against each other to achieve the best record, so an online ranking would really add up.

A really really well produced package!

Sea Cucumber Runner 2D by takemikazuchi545 2015-12-17T09:26:00

Love the presentation and humor in your game! Thinking about a sea cucumber for a platformer is not a simple task at all, really creative and innovative stuff :D Wish we could get a bit further though, it's incredibly challenging ;) Great work!

The remainders of the 34 by Rodaja 2015-12-15T12:43:00

The game looks awesome! It's beautiful! It's fun and looks super polished. It runs a bit slow though...

Great job guys!

Attack In The Mushroom Kingdom by Monochrome Bears 2015-12-15T17:35:00

Catching music and nice art!

Szczypce by Ret44 2015-12-15T18:05:00

Nice game!! I like the idea to add weapons to the ship. I replayed a few times.

Dungeon Dog by uncade 2015-12-15T17:42:00

Grow dog grow, dog must grow! We love the evergrowing pooing dog! Great presentation, super catchy music and plain funny. In all seriousness, the world needs more growing dogs like this one!

Golden Goose by Delicious Code 2015-12-15T14:30:00

Nice homage to the classic Game & Watch, it's great to see it represented in 3D, it looks as if one could pick it up. Very nice presentation. The downside is game did run a bit slow on our computer though (downloaded, playing online the sprites were missing). Good work!

Parse The Sky by dustyroom 2015-12-15T16:40:00

This is game is visually stunning, a truly remarkable entry for a game jam! Same goes for the audio, it offers a really pleasant experience. On the downside, controls felt a bit too confusing, it's a bit too hard to get the spheres. We feel it could benefit a lot from a different control scheme, we'd love to see future versions of the game being developed.

Static by trykondev 2015-12-15T13:34:00

Nice idea! It can become a great game if you work on it.

Edo Arena by PowerSpark 2015-12-17T16:51:00

Interesting idea and great execution. We were really impressed by the upgradable inventory, so much variety for a 48 game!

Controls are pretty cool, the idea of capturing the momentum to keep flying higher reminds us in a way of the combos in the Capcom vs series. It's not easy to make a fighting game with 2 buttons and this just works.

The weakest point in our opiniuon was the music, but you really just can't ask more for a 48h game. Very solid entry, congratulations!

SvardBjorn by Windmill Games 2015-12-15T14:20:00

What a great game! Very clever use of the 2 button control scheme, it doesn't feel like a limitation at all and it's very responsive. Presentation-wise the game is fantastic, loved the graphics and the hit effect. Would love to play it on mobile with an online ranking. Great job guys!

Need For Seed: Undergrowth by RhythmLynx 2015-12-15T15:51:00

I like the idea a lot, and it's kind of philosophical.
You want to replay it all the time to try and get better results and that's good. However the randomness feels kind of unfair.

Good job overall :)

Growing weed sim by sefhi 2015-12-15T12:19:00

This was fun! Played in a team of two, one growing the other serving... the grower ended up with wrist pain ;) fun theme and presentation with great music. It lacks some different mechanics to keep you playing, but great effort overall!

Grow in the Hole! by ErgoMeSmart 2015-12-15T16:12:00

This one is quite fun but pretty tricky, still haven't achieved a hole in one! ;) the ever growing ball mechanic is a great thought, and it could be used further in a level by adding different paths (faster but only accessible when small for example) in future versions of the game. Congrats on the release!

2108 M81 - Part I - by Kazura 2015-12-15T15:29:00

Really impressed with the graphics, aesthetics and presentation of this one! It ran a bit slow on our computer, but it's a really impressive job considering the little time there was to do it. Congratulations!

Slash & Dash by Fartenko 2015-12-15T18:13:00

I like a lot your pixel art. Pretty good animations. And the mechanics are good too.

Models! by Obvious Industries 2015-12-18T14:57:00

Great game concept. The game mechanic of one button per leg and how you solved to spin of the character is good. You should improve the GUI (it's difficult to control the step, were is the character and how much money did you get).

Angle Lure by ProgrammerSteve 2015-12-15T14:28:00

It's a bit hard to handle but it's more funny when you play with other players. Nice!

Save the World by Berserker_Chris 2015-12-18T15:02:00

The game is ok, but you should work on your GUI, maybe a reference were is the lumberjack, and animations, adding a jump animation and improving the jumps physics should help to make a better game.

Snowy Smasher by Reversal Mirror 2015-12-15T18:00:00

Katamari meets Tux snow rider? LIKE! Seriously, this game looks absolutely great, we really dig the low poly and clean artstyle. It really adds ups for a pleasant game experience. Maybe it's a bit too much on the easy side, but it has enough potential to become a challenging game. Great work!

Orbital Defender by Bocodillo 2015-12-15T13:51:00

Keep working! This game have potential if you add more power ups, and maybe an endless-mode.

Slozhna Potet by Xentai Inside 2015-12-15T13:46:00

This is an interesting entry, the controls are kinda strange at first but they work pretty well. Playing with direction and balance can lead to funny situations! the drawback is that there's little challenge (if you face forward you can always beat enemies). With a bit more of work it can be a pretty good game! Visually it's great!

TreePlanting Simulator by Cursed Embassy 2015-12-15T13:53:00

Loved the low poly graphic style and the concept behind the game: what could represent growing better than planting a tree? It's too bad your partner couldn't join you, cause it seems more mechanics were left out and it can't offer much gameplay right now. Feels relaxing, love the concept and the music is great. Keep it up!

Growing Pains by Ardy 2015-12-18T19:36:00

Good and funny game. I like what you did with the sound FX, it make it hilarious.

OSHIYA! PUSH! by inbetweengames 2015-12-15T17:16:00

Nice game! It is original and fun. We got trapped a pair of times inside the train but we enjoy playing it. Good graphic style.

Hello Darkness by jcmonkey 2015-12-15T16:09:00

I have to say that even though I thought I would not get scared with the graphics and music of the game, the first time I heard the sound of an enemy I have t o admit I was kind of nervous... ^^

Feed The Baby by treslapin 2015-12-15T15:57:00

Hey! That's a nice game you have there! Congrats! ^__^

The cursed Queen of Exobia by gBouckaert 2015-12-15T16:38:00

AAWWHH!!! I can't defeat this monster!! Nice game, good art. Keep working, it can be a great game!

Behind the Mask by Raphi 2015-12-17T10:30:00

Very nice little platformer! The visuals, animations and moves are great, kinda remind us of Wonderboy, as well as the temple atmosphere. Gampleay wise controls are tight, but maybe it's a bit too challenging: a small error and you're dead meat! Good job!

Untangled by Avant-Marde 2015-12-15T16:30:00

Really nice game with an interesting growing mechanic! We loved the non-lineality of the game map and the gameplay mechanic. Art style is superb, but we found a bit hard to understand up to where the hair reached at first (hanging points seem always too far for your hair length), but you get to understand it quickly. Great job, congratulations!

Steve's misfortune by AdamsMcCall 2015-12-15T17:01:00

Good work! The mechanics are great and I think you can make more funny puzzles (Maybe I was gonna choose other buttons for the control). The storytelling was perfect.

Chop Chop by MisterMortal 2015-12-15T15:43:00

Pretty cool game! Found the mechanic maybe a bit too simple, but the presentation is awesome and kept us playing for a while. Different "skins" and characters are a really cool bonus here. Would love an online ranking: starts easy but gets pretty challenging with long combinations. Great job!

Chomp by Raius 2015-12-15T17:44:00

Big fish eats small fish, what a great growing interpretation for the game! Cool experience, starts kinda hard but gets ultra satisfactory when you're a big shark and just can eat everything. Boss fight is hard as hell! Great effort, not bad at all for a one man first game attempt. Congratulations!

Fagocitech by hostile 2015-12-15T16:07:00

This one is very cool! Reminded us of classic Amiga games in terms of theme, graphics, logo and music. The presentation is really great overall, although we felt it lacks visual feedback when being shot (at first we didn't realize when we were being shot). Keep up the work with this one, it has a lot of potential. Enhorabuena, gran trabajo!

Wild Growth by Leon Möhring 2015-12-17T09:23:00

Awesome entry, loved the presentation, feeling and minimal art direction. Searching for the light to keep growing is a really good way to implement the growing mechanic, as are the simple two button controls. The game feels super pleasant to play and it's incredibly polished for a 48h entry. Congratulations!

Fluffy Horde by publicidadeba 2015-12-28T10:15:00

First, thanks for your post. We are glad that you like our game.
We have played your game and we love it. The enemies are soooo cute. Good game mechanics and good mood too. You get our vote.

Rise of the Weeds by SeaLeft Studios 2015-12-18T19:26:00

I've liked the graphics that you made, pretty effective. A really nice work for a one-man game.

Abyssal Zone by Leddev 2015-12-17T10:35:00

This looks really good from the screenshots, but sadly my mac is not opening it :( Upon trying to open the DMG I get an error that says "The disk image could not be opened: image not recognized". Using a Mac mini running Mavericks.

Game Jam Victims by BioBazard 2015-12-15T15:52:00

Now I feel guilty because we ordered lots of pizza this days.
We need more games like this, that make laugh even before to start to play. We like the art.

Amazing Growing Man by MalyTimi 2015-12-15T15:59:00

Keep working, man! It's not bad for a one man game. With an endless mode and some power-ups it can be a funny game to play.

Parallax by triello 2015-12-15T14:26:00

Nice platformer with a limbo feel! Love the parallax scrolling effect and the feeling, but the enemy AI can be a bit annoying (ended up with an enemy on top of me xD). Would love to see this game being developed further, it has a lot of potential. Good work!

FlowerPower by limered 2015-12-15T15:49:00

This reminded us of the classic LCD games, the color combination and art style did a great job recreating the feeling. In the end, two buttons are more than enough to keep up the challenge! An online ranking could help to challenge friends. Good job!

Saturn Valkyrie Dione by ItchyGames 2015-12-15T17:25:00

It looks great and the graphics are pretty. I like it.

GURU by TomenLuca 2015-12-15T13:07:00

Loved the concept of the game, it's both hilarious and fresh! Followers commenting as they change sides are the best, we had a great time playing it. Wish the combat system had a bit more depth, but for a ludum dare project it feels more than enough.
Presentation wise it's varied and dynamic, wish you guys keep working on the project. The world needs less quotes and more games making smart fun of them. Great work!

LD35 — Shapeshift

Element Smash by midgard 2016-04-21T12:52:00

Wow, really nice and polished, well done. :D

Crops of Carnage by fanatiko 2016-04-21T12:45:00

Nice idea, balanced game, really nice, well done

Babygirl Caty & the shapeshifting kittens by AlejoAC 2016-04-21T12:31:00

Nice idea though it's a bit tough! ^^

The Formless by ianh 2016-04-20T14:02:00

A very unique and interesting entry, it's not usual at all to find an RTS game in a Ludum Dare, much less such a webb executed one. I'm absolutely in love with the simple yet gorgeous, effective and consistent art style. The soundtrack works perfectly with the aesthetics too. Congratulations on this!

Pain Geometry by Malvern 2016-04-20T13:34:00

Good idea and very neat presentation, I love the consistency of the art style and sound (especially the scribbling effects), as well as the different level layout every time you begin the game. Found it a little bit tough though, avoiding enemy bullets is quite tricky! Would love to see a more complete version of this!

Arnold Stallion's Pump or Die by arzi 2016-04-20T13:19:00

Great entry, how we could not like this as great fans of River City Ransom and humor in general! Love the theme, the humor and the variety of settings, a really solid piece for a ludum dare. Congratulations!

Booba Loomba by josemwarrior 2016-04-19T10:54:00

Nice locoroco, well done! :)

A Soul of Clay by fullmontis 2016-04-20T18:04:00

This is, in my opinion, one of the most original and inventive implementations of the shape shifting theme I've played so far! The story is interesting, the puzzles are nice, the tutorial makes very clear how the game works and the atmosphere is great.

A really really solid work, I enjoyed very much this one. The only thing I'd change is, perhaps, the text size which was a bit hard to read for me. Congratulations!!!

Corvid by Just Tom 2016-04-20T13:30:00

A really interesting entry! Love the feel and mood of the game, running feels like peacefully skiing down a hill... although getting chased by a bunch oz monsters! The sound bits help to build up a gloomy yet pleasant mood, which works excellently with the art style. Great game!

Moveless Chess by Beavl 2016-04-19T11:32:00

Nice idea and good graphics :)

SHΔPE by TiRSO! 2016-04-21T12:57:00

Super nice. I like the colors, sound idea, the coherence and how the game starts. Well done. Great job.

SandShifter by nesis 2016-04-20T13:54:00

This entry is purely awesome, the mechanic fits perfectly the theme and opens a lot of opportunities for great levels and the presentation is fantastic. Walking calmly through the sand kind of reminded me of journey ;)A truly impressive game for the compo, congratulations! Would love to see more of it!

I'd recommend download it to play, since I found some problems with the pointer in the web version (even after the fix I read in the edit, somehow it isn't working for me)

Congratulations!!

Feather by runvs 2016-04-19T16:22:00

Very nice and very unique entry, the most different I've seen so far. Love text adventures, but would have liked a bit more of interaction through the story. The interface is great, simple, direct and intuitive (talking about the timed-button with the filling bar). Nice job!

CHORUS by Pantelis Petsopoulos 2016-04-24T19:44:00

Nice concept with a lot of potential!

Project G.R.I.L.L. by vctr_seleucos 2016-04-20T12:19:00

Super polished feeling, hard to stop playing, great graphics and sound! great job!!

Altered Beard by gillenew 2016-04-19T16:15:00

Wise fwom your gwabe! How could I not enjoy an Altered Beast homage! Perhaps the most classic example of shape shifting, revisited here in an up to date environment and a funny premise. Great job on the game, if has a really consistent art style (loved the parallax) and catchy music. Well done!

VHS WARS by goodbadokay 2016-04-24T19:57:00

Superb overall execution, especially image effects!

REPTILIAN MAYHEM by larkkkattack 2016-04-20T17:34:00

Great game, love the shifting mechanic to become "invisible" to evil sucker robots, as well as the game look and feel (the claw attack, together with the FX, is gorgeous). Would love to play a longer version!

Enhorabuena Laro! Le hubiera metido un "tell" a los enemigos para tener algo más de idea de cuando van a darse la vuelta y poderme preparar, pero está genial!

The Big Fist by matt beckett 2016-04-19T16:28:00

Yay, we mastered the big fist! :D Great concept and solid entry, would love to play more levels with this gameplay mechanic! The ones in the game are really well designed and the flying fist transformation makes for very cool challenges. Kind of reminds me of the ice floors in Chip's Cahllenge. Congratulations! :D

Kind of reminds me of the ice floors in Chip's Challenge. Congratulations! :D

Shpaceshifpt by crucknuk 2016-04-20T14:07:00

Good game, I like the design of the ship and the doors your have to cross. It's a complex game, for the control and sometimes for the perspective. Anyway, great job.

Sky Panic by ladybenko 2016-04-21T12:22:00

It's a very polished experience overall. Not a lot of content but it's hard to stop playing :) and that's good. Music it's a bit repetitive.

JaJa's Bizarre Transformer by reckhou 2016-04-19T11:22:00

Very nice old school arcade feeling, love the scanlines and image noise effect. A bullet hell shump with great quirky humour!

The Skinmancer by derr 2016-04-26T14:04:00

Wow!! Amazing! I really sorry i couldn't finish the game (I'm at work right now) but it's one of the best games I've played this ludum dare. The graphics are really good, and the mechanics are pretty good too. Yeah, it's hard kill a soldier, or just move to the correct position to hit the enemy, etc, but it's addictive. Congratz

shapescalation by ploerre 2016-04-19T10:54:00

Made it to level 12, but couldn't get to the end! Arg!
Love the shape/color shifting mechanic and the level design, lots of tricks here and there until you figure out which is the best course of action to get to the end.
Perhaps I would add a mouse control, in order to move the camera more precisely.
Congratulations on the game!

Bluboy by Falak 2016-04-19T11:02:00

Nice entry, there's lots of content and great level design here for such a short time! As said before, controls are a bit stiff, but what can you expect from an LD game ;)
Congratulations, good job!

Full Moon Village by Tom 2016-04-20T13:36:00

The texts are usually our of place on my screen, but I have to say the graphics and sound/music create a really nice atmosphere :)

The Vaultshifter by ohmaigawd 2016-04-20T13:51:00

Nice game, I really like the art of this game, but the control could be better. Great job anyway. It's a nice adventure.

BLOB Passage by Per 2016-04-20T13:25:00

Great idea for a shifting game mechanic and cool level design, although we found it a bit hard in the beginning until we figured out all the gameplay bits. Lots of content here and a really solid experience for a ludum dare game, congratulations!

Little Red Riding Werewolf by TeamLambda 2016-04-20T13:30:00

Nice atmosphere, it's a bit frustrating to see little red girl run all the way back but it's a nice idea.

Super nice! Gamplay feels solid, graphics are nice, well done! I played for a long time ^^

Oops! My Dear is a Deer by Remdiky 2016-04-24T19:52:00

Very fun entry with a lot of humor, superb art and well executed mechanics. Good job!

WolfBit by MatMortatti 2016-04-19T11:13:00

Love the atmosphere :D controls were a bit tough at the beginning but that's the game part right? :) good job!

Oh What a Night by Siegfried Croes 2016-04-19T16:10:00

Those gameboy style graphics are absolutely gorgeous, that's a great piece of consistent 4-gray tone pixel art! Love games with a story and setting, this entry is quite unique for a LD Jam and we found it quite enjoyable. Too bad about the music, but there's never enough time. Congrats and remember, sleeping pills are evil :P

Morph Man by Leroyii 2016-04-26T14:16:00

Good game! I didn't understand at the beginning that the shape had an influence in the control, but when I discovered (after die a lot of times) I've started to enjoy the game.

Cactus Corner by Millefey 2016-04-20T13:49:00

Nice game, not super original, but nice in the end :)

Ship Shifters by bar0net 2016-04-21T12:48:00

Not bad, a bit repetitive, but it's hard not to when it's a ludum dare ;)

Under The Tree by Feng 2016-04-20T18:07:00

Very interesting and unique game! It's really valuable when someone tries something this different, the experience was really singular. The calm and relaxed mood is nice, as well as the graphics which are really simple yet very consistent! Congratulations on this one!

Nice idea, great atmosphere, cong-rats!! :D

Dragon Knight by virtual_void 2016-04-26T13:43:00

I like the game and the mechanics, but it needs to improve in some points. First point is the camera movement, it should follow more fast the character and it was no need for teletransportation in the flags, you can do it in a single level.

Edge Shift - Blackhole by Danoli3 2016-04-20T13:47:00

A very unique entry, both in the visuals and gameplay, there's undoubtedly a ton of work here. It's quite an interesting experience trying to match orbits in order to get more points. Really impressive for a C++ OpenGL Ludum Dare creation, congratulations!

Elemental Shifters by ObsessiveNotion 2016-04-19T11:15:00

This was a lot of fun, love the split-screen action! Managed to perform a few combos too ;) I personally enjoy the cycling system, remembering the sequence order is part of the thrill! Maybe a mouse wheel control where you can also go back would be great too.
It's a really polished and solid experience for a LD game, congratulations!

Shadow Tail by Ghostdreamer 2016-05-07T10:16:00

I-LOVE-THE-IDEA, it's a pity it's not super polished but hey! 12 hours! Great job!! :)

It looks like it needed more time to polish, but who doesn't need more time? :)

Ancient Rolling Stones by theck 2016-09-02T11:29:00

Nice entry Theck! Very interesting concept and quite a good puzzle variety considering it's a 3 day game. Would love an option to visualize the stage before releasing the first try, which is otherwise blind. Congrats!

LD37 — One room

Super Fish Jumping Extreme Pro Evolution 2 Turbo by aaaleee 2016-12-14T14:25:00

Who can say no to some kitchen mayhem? Love the concept of a destroyer fish! Very nice visuals, cool concept and fun experience trying to cause as much damage as possible. Managed to perform some amazing jumps too! Maybe the UI could benefit of some visual indicator of the jump power (like a progress bar?) so you can maximize always the jumping power. Solid entry, congratulations on this!

PD: This is definitely an improvement over Super Fish Jumping Extreme Pro Evolution 2 Champion Edition!

UnityChan simulation game by karry9527 2016-12-16T13:46:00

I feel a bit stalker looking the girl in her room. The model of the girl is nice and you implement a lot of different poses, so congrats.

HourGlass Collector by skorpyo 2016-12-16T13:09:00

This is an absolutely fantastic entry, it's original, challenging, fun to play and fits the "one room" theme in a perfect way. Level design might appear bland at first glance, but once the mechanics start to change you can see how cleverly designed it is. Graphics may be on the simple side, but they work perfectly. It would be a real pity if someone decides not to play this game based on the looks. Definitely one of my favorites from this LD edition so far, congratulations on making this!!!

Bad Dreams by Dogeveloper 2016-12-13T18:27:00

I enjoyed the idea behind this game. The semi surreal art style is quite fitting for a nightmare. Controls work great, but I personally fins the difficulty to be a bit unforgiving, but maybe that was the author's intentions (after all, we're in a nightmare here!). Good job!

Roomba's Revenge by MessinaBrothers 2016-12-13T16:50:00

All hail the Roombas, the new world leaders! Absolutely fantastic and hilarious concept, which fits perfectly the Jam's theme. The art style is really solid (great lighting effects), controls are smooth and the music is fitting for some happy household mayhem. A truly enjoyable experience with a fantastic presentation, really enjoyed playing this one. Congratulations! Skynet starts with this ;)

Fox in the grange by DevForPizza 2016-12-19T13:48:00

Good entry, the game is quite fun to play and the controls are very intuitive. I found the musics were excellent (especially the main theme), but maybe the sound effects are a bit too high in volume compared to the music. Congrats on making this and kill all the chickens! ;)

INFILTRATION by dmfreddie 2016-12-14T14:30:00

I really like the game concept of a shape shifting room. The game if fun to play but it have the same problems of other stealth games: it's more easy run like a crazy than just hide yourself. Anyway it's a good game. Nice job!

BossRoom by Doomdad 2016-12-13T16:39:00

Nice entry, was able to liquidate a few waves of puny humans with the glorious beasts! ;) Found that exterminating mages and arrow shooters first is definitely the way to go for a higher score, but it gets hard to aim with the skull's badass killer ray and they get you in the end. Very enjoyable entry, pure arcade fun. If I was to suggest an enhancement, maybe it would be hit detection: sometimes is hard to kill or flee from enemies without losing some health. Great job!

Room of Fear by Alexandr Lisnic 2016-12-14T14:14:00

Enjoyed this entry, it's fun to play and the pixel art is very good looking (love the Doom homage on the UI!). Two different weapons and the traps make gameplay definitely more interesting (traps are the way to go!), although I found the enemies to be a bit too hard to kill. As a suggestion, since the hero can only attack in 4 directions, maybe the monsters could walk also in 4 directions, so it would be easier to aim for them. In any case, I found it to be a very solid and entertaining entry, congratulations on making this!

SheenshIn by William Lupshenko 2016-12-13T16:19:00

Man, what did the protagonist have for dinner? That toilet is sure demanding! ;) Funny little experience, the sound effects are really a thing! The game didn't work for me on Firefox (was stuck in a blue screen after Loading), but worked on Chrome.

Interrogation Room by Dagegen 2016-12-13T16:46:00

Good game. I really try to beat it but it was really hard for a non-english speaker.

Hotel Conifornia by Friends With Ben 2016-12-19T14:03:00

This one was both surprising and very enjoyable. Actually, what mattered less was finding the room, it was getting to know the strange and unique set of characters that matters. A surreal experience with a beautiful presentation that fits perfectly the concept of the game. It felt like playing an interactive Wes Anderson movie. The voice acting was awesome, laughed out hard at a few ones. Congratulations on making this, it's really a different experience from what I've tried so far, would love to see an expanded version with more characters and some expanded mechanics!

Cranky Adventure by nick.bota 2016-12-14T14:54:00

It's a really nice game. We really like the graphics and we get fun with the story. It's a really nice game and doesn't look like "a first" game at all. Keep working.

The phone mechanic for the narrative is a great idea but the shoot experience was not so good. The cooking one is ok, but I think that to make the game more fun the player should do different stuff in different places (like overcooked for example). In this way you can introduce a resources management mechanic to the game.

Psy Room by depression 2016-12-13T16:31:00

The art and mood in Psy Room is really excellent, helps to create an atmosphere. Love the concept of explaining a relationship without words, but found it perhaps a bit too short. Would love to see a longer version using this concept and visual art style in the future. Congrats on the entry!

Escape by Colm 2016-12-19T13:00:00

Good entry! It's a bit difficult to understand the pattern on of the maze but once you get it's easy to find the way out. Nice work and keep working.

Insecterminator by cambryx 2016-12-13T17:07:00

I'm gonna have nightmares this night. I really hate that fucking spiders! I like the voxels. I think that it can improve a lot if you work a bit more in the game feel. Great job!

One Room to Freedom by mianagames 2016-12-14T14:07:00

Well, I think I need a new keyboard but... I escaped and with 11 money! ;) Pretty straightforward idea, very well executed, took me 3 tries to reach the end! Didn't quite understand the heart rate though, will I get a stroke if it reaches 100? Perhaps it would be more intuitive with some kind of graphic meter. An indicator of the distance left would be great too! Just a couple of ideas if you make a new revision ;) Congrats!

Where's Mommy by Billion Bits 2016-12-13T15:54:00

It's a bit difficult to understand what you have to do in the game but the idea is brilliant. A walkthrough may help.

Miawflex by miaw 2016-12-19T14:08:00

Simple concept, but very well executed! Controls are tight and the game is very responsive. Gameplay is fluid and the music adds a lot to the experience. Gets pretty hard when Miaws start coming at different speeds, providing a good challenge. Congrats on making this, it may be simple but feels very polished!

One Room Funeral: The Exorcist by emontero 2016-12-16T15:12:00

You made a good point and click game. Special mention to the art of the game. Nice job.

ANN-1E by Pokatashan 2016-12-14T14:32:00

As a visual novel fan, I enjoyed this one. The art is great, both the pixel art (love how the room "transforms" into a library) and the character portrait. Enjoyed all the amount of text, it's necessary on these type of games. Translation was surprisingly good, actually I read afterwards that is was automated... Too bad you couldn't manage to get some music in it, but overall I enjoyed the experience. Theme is really fitting for "one room" challenge. Congratulations!

Cryogenic by TeamCryo 2016-12-19T13:42:00

This entry is pretty unique. As a fan of interactive stories I found it most rewarding. The dialogue is good and there are enough options to replay if a couple of times. There's an impressive amount of content here for a ludum dare game and the presentation, if simple, is really polished and goes along perfectly with the concept. The one room theme is brilliantly achieved in this one. Congratulations on making this, spent a good amount of time on it :)

Sweet Home by JuDelCo 2016-12-16T14:22:00

Nice game guys! Art was super cute, controls very straightforward and music very fitting for the fire catastrophe. It would be cool if fires started at random places (maybe with a house map to indicate the place?) so it would provide a bit more of variety. In any case, I really enjoyed playing it, congrats on making this!

Roach Escape by Ithildin 2016-12-16T14:02:00

Very nice entry, as a big fan of chuchu rocket and puzzle games in general I enjoyed this one a lot! Sounds are cute, graphics are nice and mouse controls work just as expected. If feels really polished for a compo entry and the amount of levels designed is a huge plus. Since not all arrows have to be used to find the solution, a cool feature would be to have some kind of score based on time and amount of tiles used. Congratulations on this, it was really enjoyable!

Tangent by rxi 2016-12-13T19:16:00

This game is straightforward awesome, just loved playing it. The visuals are great, the controls super smooth, the level design super clever and somehow it had a cave story vibe to me. It can be rather on the hard side, but the quickness of trial and error makes it fun to keep trying. Seriously, top work here, incredibly polished for a Compo game. Congratulations!

The Painted Lady by Verz 2016-12-14T15:51:00

Ok! You've made me cry. Good graphics, lovely soundtrack and a really good (but hard) experience for sensitive players. Nice job!

The Tea Room by jimmynoshoes 2016-12-14T13:10:00

This is a truly original entry, never seen a game like this before using youtube. Of course it has its limitations, but I think it's a very clever idea. Tried to play it without the hints and got pretty far actually (after reading the objective in the game's description), but had to use them in the end to finish it. As said, very original concept, love to see this on a Ludum Dare. Congrats!

radnet by radmars 2016-12-20T16:11:00

Nice entry! I've played for a while and I got a lot of fun. I have nothing to add, good job and keep working.

The Chinese Room by Pierrec 2016-12-13T15:58:00

Hey, I really enjoyed this entry. It has a very special control system, really confusing at first due to the amount of inputs, but I think its uniqueness is the heart of the game.

The setting and atmosphere here are fabulous (great use of pixel art in a 3D environment) and keeping up with the conversation provides to be quite a challenge. I guess the authors were looking to create both an immersive and unsettling experience, which I think is achieved by the constant demands of the body. Great work!

Obelisk by Almax27 2016-12-15T16:56:00

Really solid entry: gameplay is fast, fun and addicting, graphics are superb and music is very fitting. I particularly loved the game feel and back story keeps me wanting to play again, even if I found it a bit too difficult at first. Took me a couple of games to realize the Obelisk indicates health (didn't read the tips first!), but I think its pretty neat. Over all a really enjoyable, polished and complete entry which kept me playing for a good while. Couldn't help myself screaming "Get over here!" a la Scorpion when using the hook :D Great job!!!

The Chore by cxsquared 2016-12-13T17:15:00

Wow, that was... unexpected. Got me hooked and played it through a few times to uncover all the possible endings. The relaxing music is really fitting, contrasting with what it's really going on. Great presentation and concept with a very clever twist. Enjoyed this little game a lot, congratulations!

Glad You Came by Tonasz 2016-12-13T18:22:00

This is quite an interesting concept. Behind the simple (yet, perfectly fitting) visual style, there's quite a challenge balancing the work force of the space colony and gets very engaging. The downside is that the interface makes the gameplay a bit slow, having to go back and forth to check the table. I think it would be great if you could directly assign the workers on the board (by clicking on the sector). That way you would have the information live every time you assign a worker. Anyway, very solid work, coherent with the theme and with lots of possibilities. Congratulations!

Roomies by NicMagnier 2016-12-19T13:32:00

Good entry. I like the art you made for this game, it's pretty original. I felt bad because I broke that family, but 3 children and the mother was too much to get some good rest. At least they were happy. Nice job and keep working.

One Hotel Room by Risse 2016-12-13T16:12:00

Definitely I hate all the customers. Why they dislike my rooms? T_T

FairyTrail by Valandre 2016-12-19T13:14:00

What a great entry, it's a very solid twist on the classic tron gameplay with really impressive visuals! Controls are spot on, music helps to set the mood (even if not made for the game, it works very well) and the concept is perfect for the "one room" challenge. It's admirable that you also had time to create AI to control the other characters when playing solo, the computer plays really well and provides a good challenge. Very good job, I truly enjoyed playing this game. Congratulations!

Empty by dustyroom 2016-12-14T13:50:00

Nice job! The game it's addictive and the difficulty curve is adequate. It's the best puzzle game I've played in this ludum dare. Keep working in this game.

Doorpicker by wly_cdgr 2016-12-19T13:10:00

I'm trying to understand wtf I've played right now. Special mention to the sound, it's creepy but I think that it's what you were looking for. The text were too much fast for me to read but it was fun. Nice job and keep working.

2D Cat Wants Out by Tuism 2016-12-13T17:38:00

Hey, that was really a enjoyable experience. An original concept which was very well executed with a clever level design and a very cool presentation, which works perfectly for the game. The frame rate was a bit choppy, making it a bit hard to control, but not a big deal really since it's not an action oriented game. Music is cool and somewhat mysterious, although it can get a bit repetitive with time. Anyway, a really good and solid entry for the Jam. Congrats!

Wake Up by Dark Blood Studios 2016-12-14T14:16:00

I like the idea of use a cellphone to get the target of every room and the PT mechanics. But I missed things like more audios and textures. I think that if you add new mechanics with your phone (pics, calls, etc.) you can get a great game.

Interdimensional Chrono Janitor Service by foolmoron 2016-12-19T13:19:00

Nice entry!! I've get a lot of fun playing. It's a good feature that you can set a seed for the room generation. I would like to play a post ludum version. Keep Working.

Behind The Wallpaper by LeafThief 2016-12-16T13:58:00

Nice art and good story. You got a really emotional atmosphere with this art and this music. Nice job and I hope that you keep working on this visual novel after the ludum.

LD37 - Find The Room by Iak 2016-12-16T13:35:00

It have an original plot and more than 1 ending, I like that part. But I think that you should work a bit more in the gameplay (walk was quite of boring). The card key system was ok but it would be more enjoyable if you had some clues about what card do you need for every door.
I like the song too, it's difficult to make a non-boring loop for this kind of game.
Good job and keep working.

This One Room by MoonlightBomber 2016-12-16T13:29:00

A renpy visual novel, love these! Very well executed I must say. The art is superb (love how the room changes according to the time of the day), the music fits perfectly and the story is both intriguing and well written. A very good entry which fits perfectly the "one room" theme. Really enjoyed this one (specially since I'm a big fan of the genre :D ). Congratulations!!!

These greedy children belong to you by Farfin 2016-12-19T13:08:00

Both the concept and the art style of this game are outstanding. Visually, the characters are powerful, but what surprised me most was the color tonality. Really fitted the mood of the story. Sad theme, but a real one which most of us have already experienced or will have to in time. Love to see these different games, ludum dare should be to try this type of stuff. Congratulations on the entry!

Recursion by KaiseanGames 2016-12-14T13:49:00

Really nice entry, the puzzles are very well designed (was able to solve them thanks to the help), controls are smooth and the visual style is most fitting. The result is very polished, had no problem running it on the browser too (only option since I'm running on mac). Congratulations on this!

Paranormal Cativity by PeYMaN 2016-12-16T14:10:00

The concept of this game is super original and really well executed. The QTE mechanic to catch the ghouls works really well. I personally find the speed is good, since it's only 4 keys, and provides a challenge. Maybe the arrows are a bit small, but playing with the game maximized solved the problem. Love how the scared boy is your life bar, but it really scared me more the first time he screamed :D Congratulations on making this and long live the Catoomba!

L.D. - Drone Home by Onarru 2016-12-14T13:25:00

Whoa, this idea is really original and well executed, wasn't expecting to find something like this at all. Good job on getting us programming again after a non stop weekend! ;)

The only thing I missed was command repetition on the console by pressing up (just like the linux terminal/mac console), caught myself trying it several times by force of habit! Hahaha

Congratulations on this!

One Room Two Stage by wowods 2016-12-13T15:14:00

It's a bit short but I like the idea to make the X stages in one single room. The maze design is really good too.

Moonlight Maximum by slimabob 2016-12-14T07:37:00

Impressively solid for a first LD entry! Really playable and fun, controls are very smooth. Gameplay might be a tad slow, but I guess that's the game's personality. Would benefit from a few powerups, especially in more advanced rounds when it gets really hard! The gameover explosion is really cool. Congrats on this!

Tree House Quest by AngrySquirrels 2016-12-16T13:40:00

This is a truly impressive entry for a 3 day jam, there's so much content and polish. I love the pokemon-esque feeling it offers, while having its own personality. The music is super fitting for an adventure and graphics are simply fantastic. The yoyo as the main weapon is a very clever choice (hadn't seen one in games since Spinmaster!), which goes perfectly with a young character. Personally I enjoyed the sound effects (especially the enemy ones). I found them super funny and could imagine the team recording them during the jam, as all of us have done sometimes. It's always a fun moment. As said, a truly remarkable game for this jam, I'd love to see an extended version of this game! Congratulations!!!

Banira Shio by etherealWhisper 2016-12-13T15:45:00

Really nice and polished entry. Love the theme, fits perfectly in the one room concept, and the graphics, the visual style is really coherent and pleasing. Controls are pretty straightforward, but the game gets pretty challenging when you have to deliver notes to the students in the center rows.

Congrats for the game!

Coffee Battle by wischutz 2016-12-16T14:48:00

It's a solid game, good job. I agree with the other comments but don't give up, keep working.

I like this kind of games but a coop mode is mandatory. Nice job!

Flight Attend-A-Thon by Evergreen Games 2016-12-18T19:51:00

Good entry. The game is addictive and the characters of the flight are really fun. I felt a bit clumsy playing with the mouse (especially in Insane mode) but I like. Nice work and keep working.

Booking Mama by Dege 2016-12-16T13:22:00

The mood in this game is very nice. Graphics, music and gameplay really make a very solid experience. The gameplay is very straightforward and the reward system very clear. Love how you can instantly jump to play, since it's very intuitive.

If I'd were to make a suggestion, I'd say to make the "collision box" bigger when dragging the people to their room (maybe including all the drawing instead of just the character) so it would be easier to pick them up.

Overall I found it a really great entry. Congratulations on making this!

ASTRI by pianoman373 2016-12-13T16:10:00

Great art style, feels really polished and smooth, with nicely designed classic style puzzles! Reminded me of Sokoban, with a futuristic twist and a continuous expanding room, which is pretty great. Had a bit of a hard time pushing blocks too far a few times though (right past the goal), that made me restart the level. Other than that, I find it a solid entry. Congrats!

ONE ROOM - DANCE CLUB by cgd11 2016-12-19T13:24:00

What a great experience this was guys! Kinda reminded me of Rez for the visual style and electronic music touch, although it plays completely different. Enjoyed fiddling around with the controls hand listening to the different changes of the music. Sending people to heaven with the music spectre is an awesome concept. It's not very often you see a musical game made for a jam, loved this one and fits perfectly the theme. Enhorabuena, me ha encantado. White noise FTW!

Waterproof TV by noohop 2016-12-16T13:16:00

It was fun to play this game. Special mention to the graphics, your pixel art is really nice. The use of walls for the different screens is really original. Nice job!

Don't Help Me by lgbpaiva 2016-12-14T13:54:00

Nice game! It's really dificult to beat it but I really like it. I think that should be really nice to play this game with two joysticks. And would be great find the both modes of difficulty in a single build.

emily VS everything by mooncalf 2016-12-19T13:37:00

Emily rocks! Had a lot of fun playing this one, there's so much content for a LD game in here! Controls work perfectly and it's really cool that you have an upgrade system. Really keeps you wanting to play more and more just to become even more badass. Ragdoll physics for the enemies work pretty well, opening fun situations. As a suggestion, maybe the game would benefit from some screenshake and/or particles when crushing an enemy, to intensify the feedback. A really well done game, lots of variety and pure hack n slash fun in a pretty atmosphere with a great protagonist. Congratulations on this!

Karate Basketball by SeaDads 2016-12-15T13:28:00

What an amazing game, hadn't had so much fun playing a basketball game since NBA Jam! Reminded me of the NES World Cup but with basketball :) A truly remarkable entry for a ludum dare, the game feels really polished, controls are spot on and graphics look great. Enjoyed a lot the humor, although the game is hard indeed! Would love to play this with 3 other friends, you should definitely keep working on a post-jam version. Congrats on making this!

Mouse House by MacDocBros 2016-12-13T17:30:00

Very nice presentation, the washed out brown colors and image grain gave it a very classy and vintage feeling. Gameplay works perfectly, was able to get much further with a few repetitions. Maybe it would be a good idea to put a cat distance indicator, so you get to know when it is getting near. Music works really well too. Congrats!

Total Eclipse of the Heart by FcValise 2016-12-19T12:59:00

Really cool entry, very experimental! It's true that it can be hard to get a grasp of what is going on during the first games, but you get used to it pretty quickly and it gets more and more interesting trying to catch your opponent off-guard.

The graphics are very well done and animated, it has a very unique style and simple controls help with the complexity of the concept. Love the music, who cannot love a rendition of Bonnie Tyler's classic??? Great taste ;)

Congrats on making this, I really enjoy playing something truly different.

Roomba Rampage by PeachTreeOath 2016-12-16T13:51:00

The concept of this game may look simple at first glance, but the truth is that it's a really interesting game that offers cool visuals, tight controls, humor and a great learning curve. The upgrade system is spot on (my strategy was to start with battery upgrades) and provides depth to the experience. Driving the roomba around at max speed was a pleasure : Would love to see this expanded with new rooms, crazy upgrades and objectives, you have a very enjoyable concept here. The only thing I would and would maybe be a map of the room, so it would indicate the places which have yet to be cleaned. A very solid experience, congratulations for this and long live the roomba! :D

What happened to Michael? by BubsyPoochies 2016-12-13T17:50:00

Thanks everyone for the very helpful feedback! Truth is that skipable dialog was a priority feature that, unfortunately, we weren't able to include in time for the deadline due to code problems. It was our first attempt on an adventure style game, so a few things went wrong during development. Many valuable lessons learned though! Thank you for playing!

RandomRoomRage by Nonakesh 2016-12-13T18:33:00

A giant robotic room spreading chaos through the city? What an awesome concept, really :) The control scheme is quite original, took me a bit to get used to it but it really works and it's fun not having the direct control of the room but rather to play with the balance. Happy soundtrack, nice visuals and a few levels. It's a very solid entry, congratulations on this!

Ikea-ller by Shatter Point Studios 2016-12-13T16:36:00

It is really funny to play this game. It remember me to the original game that inspired Alekséi Pázhitnov to create Tetris. Nice job! (May it help a magnet effect when you leave the pieces)

Wasn't expecting to find an entry like this, but truth is that the theme is absolutely spot on: one room doesn't always have to be fun, sometimes it's a prison. Enjoyed reading the thoughts of the protagonist, brutal but an uncomfortable truth for many people in this world. Thanks for making this, the variety is what makes LDJams so great and this was really well made. Congrats!

Nice job with this entry, simple in concept yet highly entertaining with straightforward controls and mechanics. Presentation wise works perfectly and the original soundtrack is definitely a plus. Maybe a few powerups could give more variety to the gameplay, but as a jam game is a pretty solid entry. Congratulations!

Nice game. I like the graphics and the shoot feeling. Jetpacks and guns, what could possibly go wrong?

I laugh a lot with some paper notes, but the shoot system it's really hard. You should work more in that.
