Yes, I know, the starting idea was very cool, but a lot of bugs appeared and I don't knowed to fix they, to be honest, this is my first 2d game developed with Blender Game Engine, and I need to improve my 2d game developing technique.
Thanks for play it and for your comment ^^
Next time, will be more good.
@refreshcreations - Thanks for these words :P
@Jezzamon - I don't know how to export to mac in blender game engine.
@Izzimach - A lot of people said to me that if you make a game with chickens, you have more points to create a good game. I feel good thinking that someone liked the game!
But bad news, I'm going to use Unity from now, I think that is a more "prepared" engine.
Really a funny game with a funny history!
Really good but It's hard to still playing when you die and you return to your original planet :(
What a good game! That is one of the better games I have seen in the Jam competition. Seriously.
- Knock Knock. Who is?. MY GUN IN YOUR FACE! - Epic moment.
@Foxtacy Thanks! Yup it's a little hard but I work'd a lot on it so thanks for playing and hope you enjoy!
@MarekkPie What explorer are you using? There is some bugs coming from Chrome for Linux. And in what moment was the character disappeared?
@kevincorrigan I've set a new key "R" to Respawn the character like normally, so if you get stuck or the character disappears, just press R :)
@aschearer Woah thanks. I'm hyped because you liked my art style and the music (was my first time composing and you like it? It's a miracle!!) :)
@sclark39 @NedortGames @Rellikiox I think I will modify it to be more easy but the first "good thing" of this game is his difficulty :(
I will give you an advice:
DON'T CARE! Jump and run like if the world ends tomorrow!
@gamblore Yup I modified the player acceleration after the third level :) To make it more easy. And about the grammatical errors in the text, I know. The reason of why there are these grammatical errors is because the English is not my native language, so I don't dominate it at all :P
Thanks for playing!
@Cell You made a smile in my face, thanks for playing!
*Made the first level a bit more easy.
@Fritzendugan You probably get bad luck on the boss :( but yes this needs a fix!
**** SPEEDRUN VELOW (VIEW ON YOUTUBE) ****
If you can't accomplish all the levels and need something to see how is the game, view the following speedrun video :)
http://youtu.be/M6nSw8vAB_I
The evolution in this game is how the main character (the creature you move) is evolutioning each 3 levels. Starting with no legs, no arms and a small size and ending with legs, arms and a big size.
First, thanks for all the comments! This has been a full work weekend and for sure your comments are making feel me really satisfied, completed, happy!
I really SORRY for all the people that are having problems playing but I don't know what is happening in other browsers that are not Chrome... A little percent of people have the problem of crossing the platforms.. but I need to see the bug to fix it and I really tested but nothing happens.. for me the game runs fine.
So I will continue working on bug fixes but I don't promise anything :(
So.. what can I say.
Ludum Dare 24th is over and I really give all my THANKS to all who gived a chance to my little game. For the second time I think the things have gone a lot better than the first time (a total fail, yeah).
So really thanks for playing and for commenting. I'm thinking to do an extended-free of important bugs-more cool at any time of this year. I'm working in an other project now but I promise that I will make a remake of this game when I acquire more experience.
As I see my poor rating is on the Theme rating. But yeah I will not say this is wrong because I haven't any idea at the beginning :)
Really really reeeeeeeeally thanks to all the comments and all who played my game and I hope to see you in another Ludum Dare edition!
If you liked my work or just you like following people, search for me @MidgardT :) I don't tweet really interesting things but you will be tunned for any game I do.
Regards,
Midgard :)
I think I have get to the goal. Because my slime just appears with the mouth open and I can't move. Great job!
I can't run it and I have Unity's Webplayer installed :/ on W7 64 bit.
Hey! I was not able to pass to the next level! The first evolution I get doesn't arrive to jump that high!
It's good to see more people using Construct2 :) Good job!
Needs windows support!
Score: 6905
A fun game. But I don't know where's the theme of this ludum dare edition :/
And the character smiles when shoots... the character is a MANIAC! Hehe Good job :)
Really good graphics. You should continue after Ludum Dare :)
What you used to make that game?
Cool but hard game!
I liked it. Good job :)
You should make it web-playable.
ALL good mother of god this is an awesome game!
Midgard's Army;7;9;4;12;26736
Very good ALL mother of god! Amazing game!
What a good game! Really fun and entertaining!
Great job :D It is a really fun game with a bit of humor that makes the game more fun!
Good job. An innovator idea!
I can't vote your game because you only exported to Linux :(
If you can export it to Windows or to HTML5 I would try it, just edit your entry! (I think you can, if not, contact the Ludum Dare administration).
Fun but hard game.
Thanks for voting, ladies & gentleman!
One more time, I feel really happy with the results! Even when I didn't have enough time to play as many games as I wanted to play & rate, thankyu for your ratings! It's been really funny to develop this game! Next time I'll be mostly surely working with my new team in the Jam edition!
See you soon! Thanks for playing & rating!
Wow, mindfucking. And what did happend when I refreshed the page at the end? I destroyed the universe? WHERE AM I!
Nice job with the destructible thingies, WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO DESTROY THINGS? :D
Cute & Funny! Great job mate.
Could not get the game to play! I mean I get in, but there's a text saying get ready and nothing happens, you can still move around and explore the beautiful scene!
The Web version doesnt starts :C

^^^^^^^^
If someone can delete this and the comment on top - I was rating another entry!
Great game, I like these graphic adventures types of game! Like in the old school, with Larry and so on.
WOW! It's just so cool, you surprised me that I opened my mouth at the start, so hyped!
Hey there, thanks everyone for playing and for providing feedback!
Be sure to remind where you started so you cand find the portal when you eat every candy, at the start, and when you switch worlds, you start where the portals are. So keep that in mind!
Also, there's a persistent portal icon that appears when you face the right direction where the portal is.
What a weird game! I really liked it!
Nice concept, I might have worked more in the graphics aspect!
Played with controller: Controlls seemed a little confusing at first, but when you get onto it, it's really fun, and its mood is awesome! I really liked it, but I couldn't find the relation with the ld theme!
The concept is nice, but I felt like there was something that this didn't have :(
Couldn't play it
Awesome concept! This feels unique, couldn't really understand how it really worked, but had fun playing it!
Here's a nice innovative game, I had fun playing it but I don't seem to reach the relation between the theme and the game!
I liked the overall concept of the game, but didn't have the sufficient motivation to play a lot.
I really like console-driven games, but this didn't feel too good, it's not innovative and things like that, but yeah it might be because you gave up, but don't worry, it's still okay that you finished!
Nice concept, great controls and the overall execution is really amazing, you should play this, it's definitely one of the better entries!
Awesome controls, nice concept and well done execution!
Nice atmosphere, my eyes bleed a little thought with the colors and the movement without really any depth on screen. But overall it's a nice idea!
Nice controls (maybe a bit slow, makes the dodge aspect of the game so impossible!) and nice ambientation on the game, I couldn't see where is the theme relation but yeah, it was fun so, it's a game.
Didn't understand how did it work, but seemed like a nice and innovative idea!
Nice controls, graphics and all, but where's the relation with the theme? :(
The overall concept is pretty amazing, I had fun trying to solve every puzzle and it took me some time, but it was really fun so I didn't stop playing! :D
Had fun playing, nice controls and bouncy things! I couldn't feel the relation with the theme thought..
Fantastic, as simple as that.
Greatly well-made, there needs to be a curve for difficulty thought, but it was really well done. I liked the overall concept and the theme relation is awesome!
Didn't download it as the Chrome Virus Filter poped up :(
I think this is the most polished game I've played yet, very nice work in every aspect! If it would have nice replayability (random tower generation or something like that), and a ranking, that would do it.
@GAFBlizzard
Thanks for the feedback! I'm gonna patch the game in an hour with speed on battles doubled, some people has provided feedback on that exact same thing!
I'm gonna look into that health resting bug.
----
ALSO I KNOW THERE'S A BUG WITH SAVING PROGRESS. I'M LOOKING INTO IT!
@GAFBlizzard: The health resting bug has been fixed. I'm pushing the update right now!
@oal: I had thought of adding unlockable skills to the pets, I will probably do after I get the game to be stable (the server too)!
@Eshford: Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you liked it! If what prevents you from playing is the progression saving bug, it shall now be fixed, just play directly throught my website instead of the iframe (there's a big bug with the iframe, unfortunately, and it doesn't save your user token).
@ThaRemo: I'm having a blast since a lot of you guys are playing! Hopefully it will continue growing and there will be a lot of pet opponents and variety! :D
@Taffaz: That's only a matter of spreading the word :( I would also like it to have more players!
@fakefrogsonly: You couldn't find any game because I shut down the server, sorry for that! There was a memory leak and I had to fix it asap. It is now fixed tho, so feel free to get back into the game!
@tanis: I shut down the server for a few minutes to fix some server-side bugs and a huge memory leak. You should now be able to continue after saving your account!
@CaptainNakou: I'm pushing an update with the combats being twice as fast!
@BUNN1E5: Yeah, you've discovered a nice glitch on WebSockets, they won't close if you don't close the window, so your session will be opened for as long as the server maintains it!
-----------------
I'M PUSHING AN UPDATE WITH FIXES AND MORE SPEED ON COMBATS!
YOU MAY HAVE PROBLEMS TO LOAD THE GAME WHILE I DO SO, PLEASE WAIT 5 MINUTES!!
----------------------
-----------
THE PATCH HAS BEEN PUSHED!
Everyone should be able to load the game and play!
If not, please notify me!
-------------
@Rfdshir Thanks for the kind words! I've pushed an update and the combats are far more fast now and enjoyable! Please feel free to try it again ^^
@rzuf Hahaha I saw you pet on the database, it is well built! I might continue developing the game if it has nice acceptation (which it seems!), so I will take any suggestion!
@velddev Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy the game! I might consider having a name changer feature ingame in exchange of stat points or experience!
@Zeezgames: I'm pushing a new patch with more memory allocated! Will be ready in around 5 mins :)
Hey guys! Just wanted to update you on this entry in case you're interested in the game and its future!
I have partnered with an important studio here in Spain to bring the game to Android (and maybe iOS) in the best quality possible. The Browser version will be improved at the same time!
There's been a huge downtime today because I had a lot of internet problems and I'm hosting the Game Server myself! But that's about to end, since I'll be migrating everything to a dedicated server as soon as I get one.
I'm going to tell you what I'm going to implement from now on:
- Balance Stats along with Pet Levels.
- Pets will have an essence they come from (Water, Wind, Earth, etc).
- Implement lots of unlockable skills based on the Pet's essence.
- Changes on the Rest system.
- Matchmaking improvements: Option to filter Pet names so you can directly fight a friend or someone you love too much.
- Daily missions in exchange of experience points (Example: Win two matches without missing a turn!).
And much much more! Feel free to follow me at @devMidgard on Twitter, and feel free to also ask or make suggestions. I'll be creating a devlog soon!
@HotBoxGames: Indeed, there will be more to do with your pet in the future! I'm preparing a website and a big update :) I also saw your pet level 38 and I thought "Whoa, this guy just started playing, look at that!" you keep me ongoing!
@WeepingRupee: For now, Tamas change appareance (very minimally) at level 10 (teen age) and level 20 (adult age). You are indeed getting matched with other people, it's just that it's not a realtime multiplayer. So you can fight another player's pet, and when he enters the game he will be able to see wether his pet has lost or not in the battle history (it's not working right tho). At the same time, people can get matched against your pet, no matter if you're online or not!
This is going to mobile platforms, absolutely! And I am a gamer myself, so I don't really like Pay To Win formulas, so don't worry about that :P
@Krafty: Thanks for the kind words! I'm really glad that you liked the game :D
@ButtonMasherBros: Thanks for your video! I enjoyed it, thanks for the great job!
The server has been inaccesible for a few hours, sorry for that! I've gone through the code and found the issue. It is now up and fixed!
Hey guys, so I've set up a really simple site for the game so you can keep up to date on Server Status & Game Updates! Visit it here: http://tama.devmidgard.com/
@brainstorm: Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The Combats are indeed Player VS Player, but it doesn't require anyone to be connected! With that said, your pet can get beaten when you're offline, and you'll see that on the Battle History (pending of improvements!).
@Aaranos: Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing C:
Didn't enjoy this at all, didn't know what to do!
Fantastic atmosphere! I really liked an intro to the story :)
I find it a little hard to prevent people from jumping into the volkano tho :(
I find it impossible :/ but well fitting the Two Button controls theme.
Nice little game
Nice little game! I only wish it had more content into it!
Couldn't run it
I really liked the controls on this one! Very good work, graphics also standed out.
I liked the core gameplay, although I didn't mind the sci fi setting and background. It's a great concept, but I'm not sure about mashing the spacebar.
Great work!
Silly and funny game in the style of Kunio-kun series, I liked it. I didn't like to see unity's skybox in the end, though
Made me put myself in their shoes.
The game was confusing and laggy at times, but overall a good game that keeps you playing. I didn't understand anythig at first because of the bad instructions on screen. I didn't like the like of feedback (visual and audio) when you destroy things
I liked the visuals and the ship's voice. It's a solid shmup for a gamejam. Challenging. Maybe a bit too slow paced at times.
Buen trabajo!
Enjoyed it! Good work.
Good game feel, a bit too hardcore, would have liked a longer level and a victory screen of some sort :)
Cool graphics and mood but the intro was too long and uninteresting. Also I didn't like spamming spacebar so much, but overall good game
buen curro!!!
I'm missing some SFX and a bit more visual feedback, other than that it's a clever design with good style and music. Good job.
amazing job, really interesting gameplay. This could very well be the core mechanic of a full game
Fun game! I miss more visual and audio feedback when I pass through a shape, but it was fun and challenging.
Buen trabajo
The game is a bit confusing at times, I hated when the yellow walls appearead after getting the running skill
Buen trabajo
Good mood, but I think you need to give players more feedback, for example when you absorb light the game does nothing, and I thought I was doing something wrong.
Buen trabajo
@Will Edwards: Hey, the LudumDare Iframe prevents the indications from appearing (they're white dots). Hope you can play throught the linked site and have some fun!
@DrTeaSpoon: It's a cheat I made for myself so I could test and see how planets generated, etc. You can use it aswell if you find yourself lost. It teleports you to a random Planet inside the system you're at.
@Crack498: Well, thankyu! I'm glad you had fun playing it :)
