Bugs? How about the bats that never die? Sometimes they do, and sometimes they are immortal. I didn't know you were going with a Game Genie theme.

Also, the jumping is never consistent. It varies, and that makes it extremely unpleasant for the gamer.

Yes, I know, the starting idea was very cool, but a lot of bugs appeared and I don't knowed to fix they, to be honest, this is my first 2d game developed with Blender Game Engine, and I need to improve my 2d game developing technique.

Thanks for play it and for your comment ^^

Next time, will be more good.

Experienced the same errors. It seems that standing and constantly pressing a is the best of all tactics (at least when the bats die).
But the look of the game indeed neat ; )

Congratulations for creating a game within 48 hours. There are some odd bugs which have been mentioned above but you've got the basics of the game down. Just needs a bit more subsstance to it.

Alas... cannot play this on my mac. :C

The game crashed on me a lot, but you get bonus points for using chickens or some equivalent as enemies. Also cool that you used the Blender Game Engine. The sword "animation" was a neat effect although it probably wasn't intentional.

@refreshcreations - Thanks for these words :P
@Jezzamon - I don't know how to export to mac in blender game engine.
@Izzimach - A lot of people said to me that if you make a game with chickens, you have more points to create a good game. I feel good thinking that someone liked the game!

But bad news, I'm going to use Unity from now, I think that is a more "prepared" engine.

I would play if you had a Web or OSX version.

Seems a good idea. I got a bit confused when the enemies sometimes appeared to jump over me and fall off the screen, and sometimes to land behind me and hit the princess. Also might've been nice to have a warning when low on health (knight or princess) and a bit more gameplay variation. Seems some potential for next time though.

Unfortunately cannot play, don't have access to windows box.
HTML5 :)

Has potential. Add more weapons like bombs and stuff. Also if you fix bugs and make other improvements it will be quite fun!

fenyxofshadows 2012-05-13 16:32

It seems rather basic... The bats only die in contact with arrows, so it's only a matter of time until you die...

Wait... Blender? How do you make a game with that? :/

barigorokarl 2012-05-13 18:19

Blender!!! tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a, tap a :-)
Ok, there're bugs, but the blender engine isn't very stable ... yet, I hope they change that in the future! :-)

A bit buggy, but I have enjoyed!

Aside from the odd bots, the spawning system was very odd. Sometimes things would just fly out of the sky, some spawned in the tiles on the far left. Jumping was glitchy; you could get stuck in walls and fall through floors. Interesting game and ran smooth though.
