LD19 — Discovery

MINE by Fenyx 2010-12-21T03:53:00

Sorry about forgetting the controls! It's something I always forget about!

Here are all of the controls!
Z = Attack/Interact
X = Use Equipped Item
C = Open/Close Items Menu
Space = Defend
F4 = Toggle Fullscreen (default is off)
F9 = Take Screenshot
Esc = When the items menu is open only, exits the game. (without deleting your save)
You can also exit the game by going to the staircase, but if you do not have the unspeakably generic object, it will delete your saved game. If you do, then you just beat the game, and it will show credits and give you the choice of deleting the save file to play again.

This game should take about 30-60 minutes to beat 100% on your first try.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments and suggestions. Once my computer is finally fixed, I will fix this game!

LD22 — Alone

The ghost who wants to be alone by Fenyx 2012-01-08T23:50:00

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you guys in a while; my computer broke so I've been tech-less for the last couple weeks.

As noted, I have no sense of difficulty curves. I'll make the speed of certain enemies scale with rank, tapering at 10 (player is 15, for reference) I'll also add a couple more types of enemies.

Don't worry, there is an ending programmed in, just hidden behind 6 bosses! I'll fix the odd hitboxes on the lasers as well as making bombs add on death rather than reset, and making the boss drop a bomb. I'll also make the invulnerable time longer by a few frames.

This is a very difficult game, bordering on impossible... (I should know, I 1CC Touhou games as well, and actually used a scaling form of one of Yukari's StB attacks for the boss)

LD23 — Tiny World

It's a tiny world by Endurion 2012-04-28T06:19:00

There was a bug in the game that caused a few cheap deaths. If a monster spawns next to the player, the player is attacked without being able to react.

Farming Simulator by spacechase0 2012-04-28T05:40:00

Maybe you could add variation to the speed of growth for the plants? Anyway, it was well implemented, though being able to slow time (and the default time itself) made the game far too easy to manage a full farm.

A Tiny World Hero by midgard 2012-05-13T16:32:00

It seems rather basic... The bats only die in contact with arrows, so it's only a matter of time until you die...

Wait... Blender? How do you make a game with that? :/

Trapped Genie by BubuIIC 2012-04-29T00:53:00

It was relaxing but not really that entertaining... I would listen to that music to fall asleep though. :3

T-Pod by Spiridios 2012-04-28T05:48:00

The player's ship moved far too fast and jerkily for me to get anywhere.

Weathering by milgwyn 2012-05-12T16:56:00

Can't run, py2.7 and py3.2 are arguing on Windows

Survival in a Tiny Box by pokefan 2012-05-12T19:45:00

Liked the alien-like sound effects. The laser background was annoying. The graphics looked like placeholders. The controls were very buggy. You could die instantly by a monster spawning on you. Collisions were bad.

Alien Comets by Kalibrated 2012-04-23T21:35:00

It was rather confusing what you should do, and there wasn't much to do once it was figured out. It's an amusing little toy, but becomes uninteresting once figured out. I didn't have audio, but the graphics were consistent and it certainly fit with the theme. It was also easy to get into, but like I said, didn't hold attention for very long.

Solar Thief by JellyFame 2012-05-13T16:40:00

Love the music and the graphics, not a fan of the sound effects. You should actually have a game-over sequence when you die... It makes more sense...

WTF LEMME OUT!!! by aquasheep 2012-04-28T05:53:00

Definitely innovative. The only other game I've seen made for LD that was entirely based on dialogue choices was this one visual novel in LD20. Though, there weren't many choices and the story was very short, with only 2 possible endings to begin with. It was somewhat funny, though.

tiny hostile world by Akunate 2012-05-05T18:34:00

It wasn't especially fun, probably because there isn't a goal to keep the player playing. You need more enemy variety, a score counter (and because this is a jar it would be simple to make it online high scores :D), and some actual difficulty.

Pastor Mundi by Geti 2012-04-28T06:28:00

I can't run it because of keyboard compatibility issues. Could you perhaps make alternate keyboard layouts? :3

It does look interesting, though.

Pro Stew Chugger by Tourgen 2012-04-28T05:56:00

I couldn't figure out where the executable was.

Conquest of the Cyber-Ovine by Nanolotl 2012-04-28T07:19:00

This game was really fun! It took me a while, but I beat it at lv40. It seems that the 3rd planet is really hard compared to the final boss, though the 3rd planet may be to teach you about the Doodad, Mr. Freeze, and Blasty Jr.

Most of us live in a tiny world by jeffz 2012-04-28T06:25:00

You couldn't control anything, just like you can never control the events that you are portraying. We can't do anything about all these things, and your grid shows that by just having us go in a circle.

But, this is a game-creation competition, not a philosophy contest. It's not a game, it's a soapbox.

Synthesis by marudziik 2012-04-23T14:06:00

This game was... interesting... It was actually innovative and cool to have a game based on chemical bonding; that being said, the ships controls made it difficult to get decent-sized compounds and the such. (I did get ethanol though! :D)

CursorVsMan by monkeymad2 2012-05-12T17:00:00

Couldn't run on windows, switching to Ubuntu to try it out... :)

This is a tiny world. by bombpersons 2012-05-12T16:54:00

I liked the concept of growing your planet, now implement some actual gameplay and we will be good :)

Shipwrecked by Madball 2012-05-05T18:40:00

It's pretty interesting, but it's very cryptic and hard to understand. It would be good to have feedback on being hurt... I was walking around a rat looking for items and suddenly died without realizing it.

Tiny World - A Giants Tale by DalsGames 2012-04-28T06:37:00

Very buggy at best, though the graphics were decent and it was fun to try to dodge the villagers instead of squishing them.

Moonmen: Journey to the Giant World by Daisuke909 2012-04-29T00:44:00

Beat both bosses, got 100/100 little tetrominoes, and couldn't figure out how to board the ship... you should make that a little more obvious, ze?

LD26 — Minimalism

Boxy by matter123 2013-04-30T23:42:00

The potatoes were amusing. Aside from that, the controls were far too twitchy and imprecise for my taste, especially to keep up for 30 full seconds.

Destroy the Unnecessary by monosaccharide 2013-04-30T23:48:00

Couldn't really run it, sorry.

X-Ninja by adcrusher 2013-04-30T23:46:00

Great animation quality!

Aside from this, it's interesting but requires a lot of memorization. It's also too hard to time the blasts properly.

ROBOTS 3-D by Fenyx 2013-04-30T05:34:00

i figured out the bug (it's a gamebreaking one, but not hard to fix)

it'll be fixed soon

ROBOTS 3-D by Fenyx 2013-04-30T05:56:00

aaaaaand it's fixed

ROBOTS 3-D by Fenyx 2013-05-04T00:50:00

It doesn't run under Win32? o.o That's a weird bug. Is there an error and what precisely does that error say?
