pretty fun and neat gfx style
pretty solid and fun. I got stuck on something that I couldn't see at one point.
pretty good game. the controls need some work. up arrow for jump is maybe not a great choice. I liked the sprites and the tiles though quite a bit.
I had a rough time because I'm not used to non-inverted mouse-y look. The game is pretty nice looking. I like the mood.
pretty solid entry, good music, it could be something very fun with a little bit of work and some more "game" in it
nice models, decent music, weapons didn't feel like they were doing much though
Pretty good. Music was good - more would have been even better. I liked the gameplay. I didn't like the key controls.
The destructible giant inards gameplay idea sounds cool and could be fun. the graphics and music were very good.
very cool graphics and effects. There isn't a whole lot to the game but I played it more than once! nice job
the music is great. It's hard to see the walls. clicking in the window brings up a web link which is very annoying.
I wasn't really sure what to do or if I was having any effect.
I liked the game quite a bit. But I love dual-stick shooters and 360 controller option is wonderful. It's fun to play.
This is a great game. Carpet bombing is so much fun. Bigger bombs and some good sounds would go a long way.
Kind of a cool concept but it needs a little more for the player to do. Some idea on monster stat differences and strategic use would be cool too. Good use of the theme.
I liked it. Limited ammo? It might be cool to make the returning arrows from the top pickups to restore ammo instead of killing the player. Then it's a choice between going after more ammo to continue or staying safe.
Good use of the theme and good ideas, the gameplay is good too. I seemed to be able to control direction slightly after the final split? Anyway I was able to change direction by 90 degrees usually and zip to the end of the level.
Hey that was really cool. Just a single button to switch the rails, flying around with a fixed camera on what i'm guessing are some nice spline curves. Very good work, good presentation. I got a 'D' my first try :)
Great game. I love the particle effects, palette, and the controls. The jetpack movements feels pretty much perfect. The sounds and background music are also very good.
It's really a pretty fun idea. I didn't do all that well but I had a good time trying to get the little guys pointed in the right direction.
Pretty fun and polished up.
wouldn't run for me. I guess I don't have the right version of python.
I got the the part where I was supposed to gather resources but everyone disappeared and I couldnt do anything. Otherwise a pretty cool concept and storyline. The island gfx are great. I also liked the music quite a bit. It seemed to fit well and create a mood.
THIS GAME IS AWESOME
That is some great looking art. Nice work. I didn't do too well at the game but it was fun.
Is it always raining? I get angled streaks thru all the gfx. The music is great. The controls are a little strange but seems alright. I cranked speed up very high and got a seizure inducing strobe of the pink and green planets :) Not sure what I'm supposed to be doing in the game though? Also Ogre picked a bad resolution for fullscreen mode as default and garbled the gfx. I restarted it and selected a resolution my card & monitor supported.
hahah pretty funny and pretty good.
good music, plenty of levels. the movement was a little slow and floaty. not a fan of jump on the up arrow but no big deal
It was pretty fun. The first level was pretty good design. The slow fields were cool, and the kill-pads got me the first time!
Mouse invert option YES THANK YOU SIR! Also, this game is pretty awesome. One of my favorites so far. Solid work.
great! swinging buildings around is a lot of fun. GREAT music and gfx.
I liked the music loop and the graphics.
BIG NOTE: Controls - XBOX360 supported and highly recommended (dual analog stick shooter). WASD, Arrow keys, and mouse aiming is also supported if no joystick is detected.
CHEATS AND HACKS
Mash F11 to spawn power-ups at the four corner spawn points. It gets fun with max fire rate and max speed.
F12 to take a screenshot.
I apologize for the wall collisions in narrow areas. My post-compo version already has it fixed. Keyboard movement is better to.
Yep, I didn't have time to add more visual feedback. Its not a great entry :(. I'm just glad it worked for you without crashing.
I tied game logic to vsync, and some graphics cards don't support it so it runs "full speed". There is a POSTCOMP build in the ZIP file now that throttles the framerate, fixes collisions for the player and doors, and sadly rips out all the music (was causing crashes)
@robcozzens I looked through the Chrome Native Client SDK but didn't see joystick support. If they ever get it in there I'll port it over - it would be really easy. The source should compile under XCode. You'd have to collect GLFW, Portaudio, and SOIL for mac (not hard). I'd do it but I don't have a mac.
wow I didn't expect any positive feedback at all, I was just happy to get something done. Anyway, ripping out all the door combo stuff. It wasn't a good idea. Redrawing the gfx, making it more of just a straight-up SmashTV rip with frogs and snakes and whatnot. I'm learning SO MUCH just getting that much done :)
I liked it. Pretty interesting.
looks good, cool idea
Awesome! I loved it! An joystick controls too! They were a little touchy but still good. I didn't beat the boss my first try but I'm going to take another crack at him. Great work.
great graphics and kind of a cool game idea with things working pretty well. Yeah the harvesting key combo is a little strange.
It works, I don't know I thought it was pretty easy to understand after reading the help screen. I just didn't find the game mechanic fun. It's a cool idea though and maybe it could be applied in some other way?
pretty great. amazing pixel art.
This is my favorite Jam game so far. It's polished and the music is great. The game is fun, nice work guys.
Loved it. I was wrecking guys with the sword of atlantia! The hit radius on that thing is GREAT! The sprites were pretty decent and you worked in a final boss and cut scenes. Nice job.
nice selection of weapons and cool looking enemies, also the curved world adds a lot to it. I had fun just jumping around and playing with the rockets.
great music, I couldnt figure out what the mitten tool did. I assume that's just me though and everything was working alright.
I love these kind of games but I don't have a working linux box atm. Couldn't rate.
It looks good and plays alright. It would benefit from an analog control input - joystick or even h-axis on the mouse. Or possibly not instantly re-centering on key-up.
I got a decent sized planet but I didn't have enough leveled up gear to clear out the boss planet. Pretty fun, the controls are a little rough on the hands though.
great game. fairly fun. cool concepts and really good music
Good game, I'm just bad at it. I couldnt do the 3 stacked jump that alternated directions.
getting more guys every screen was nice. I really liked the way the bullets spray everywhere. The flat shading works pretty well too.
I like it. The world is cool. I like jumping around using the portals and exploring.
pretty good start. camera and mouse-look need some help. I had fun.
Really great game. I wish the jumping controls where a little more variable so I could jump without mashing head into spikes. Sometimes the screen jumped around quickly which I think was a collision thing. but very good!
I really liked it. Fighting bugs is just fun I guess. It all worked and was pretty straight forward to figure out.
Really a pretty fun game. With just a bit of experimenting I was able to figure out what was going on. You made playing around with it easy too with instant restarts. Nice work.
I liked running after the green guys. A tail sting or claw snap animation would have been really cool! The lighting effect/screen border was really nice.
Wow pretty hard but well executed. The controls are pretty decent and everything is nice and smooth. I made it up quite a ways a few times but never to the top. Getting fuel was really tough.
Fairly polished and everything worked fine. Moving around and sinking ships was pretty fun. a sea monster or a different ship model would have been cool.
Very nice graphics. Cool mechanic and good fit with the theme. The later levels designs are more guess-and-check than good application of the mechanic though.
Great game! I'm pretty average at these types of routing puzzle games and the difficulty was just about perfect. There are plenty of levels. Two of the later levels are a little easier, which makes the difficulty curve a little uneven but certainly no big deal for a 48hr compo game! The controls were solid and easy to understand. I loved the touch with the story and text scenes. Allowing the player to enter a name was small but very cool touch too. Great work.
AHAHAH FANTASTIC! I love this game. I got 460 kills. Not bad! The music is awesome, the pixel art is awesome. The game is pretty fun and has solid controls and movement. I had serious slow-downs in level 7 and 9 - erratic framerates.
not enough visual feedback of what is going on. I got the bars to move by pressing buttons but it wasn't clear what keys built which buildings.
Impressive achievement in 48 hours. I played it more than once. It's pretty fun. The music is good too.
pretty fun game
