Having trouble building this app (the included binary won't run for some reason. 32 vs 64 bit issues?)

A README describing what libraries are necessary and how to build it would be great.

this was hilarious and very fun. nicely done!

Tiny World! by unicornpooping 2012-04-24T21:03:00

Seemed to get stuck in difference places each time i tried. I really wish i could have picked up that key!

Planet Gravity by Jens Nolte 2012-04-25T01:51:00

Tiny Galaxy by Robert Swan 2012-04-25T03:53:00

looks like so much fun. couldn't get it to run on my mac under winebottler.

doggone by hazzen 2012-04-26T04:05:00

T in Y World by Tom 7 2012-04-25T04:17:00

I love it, unlike anything I've ever seen. Very very cool.

Pro Stew Chugger by Tourgen 2012-04-24T04:32:00

Startrash Galaxy by KungPhoo 2012-04-26T17:14:00

I'm not sure what I should be doing, but the graphics are pretty neat.

Creature Collect by moop 2012-04-24T21:27:00

that's pretty awesome. the controls seemed pretty sensitive, but the gravity and tractor beam parts were really cool.

Interstellar Moai Ranger by Shifty 2012-05-13T18:28:00

Incredible use of sprites. This was a lot of fun.

Tiny World by spilth 2012-04-26T03:39:00

Even as it stands, this is fun to play with. I'd love to see you build a few more levels and string them together in some fashion. So close to being a complete game, don't stop now.

Tiny Failures by whitetigle 2012-04-25T14:27:00

i think i need to learn inkscape. these graphics are so crisp.

Another Kind of World by daandruff 2012-04-26T04:36:00

This game is beautiful. Hard to control the bombs that you throw. I think if you shortened the timeout on those bombs it would work better.

dLeIaFtEh by Cell 2012-04-26T04:22:00

I agree with everybody else, wish there was more to play :)

The Big Bang by Zemmi 2012-04-24T05:02:00

ahahahahahahahahaha. wonderful concept.

Tiny Tempers by Bezza 2012-04-27T19:06:00

I really enjoyed running around on the surface of the planets, but I couldn't get used to the controls when flying. I also couldn't seem to actually hit one of the tinies.

Pretty neat idea.

Astrosurf by Jimjam 2012-04-24T21:24:00

can't run it on my linux box. i might seriously have to buy another computer just to play some of these unity/windows titles.

Dude Rescue by agnulf 2012-04-23T17:48:00

couldn't get it to run in wine on my linux box. something about a missing data folder. maybe the .rar wasn't packaged correctly?

Little Knight's Tiny World by jim3wg 2012-04-26T05:17:00

A wonderful and fully polished game. best i've seen so far.

Pin Party by cambrian_era 2012-04-23T18:04:00

love the font. i think i picked the same one for my game :)
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-23/?action=preview&uid=5229

Lots of fun. I just wish I could shoot diagonally.

Angle Isle by Rusty Moyher 2012-04-25T15:21:00

This was really great. I think some parallax scrolling would really put it over the top as a platformer :)

3 Arrows by wupto 2012-04-25T17:31:00

Very cool. I couldn't play it on my linux machine, but the gameplay video tells a great story. nicely done.

Mini-Worlds and Monocles by Zed 2012-04-24T04:48:00

the sounds were priceless. especially the 'level complete' tune. talent.

Nano Spin by bitbof 2012-04-26T17:23:00

this was terrific! I too made a game with libgdx, glad to see more of us here :) I couldn't get the webgl version to run on my linux machine (chrome 18), but the desktop version played perfectly.

Petri-Dish Survival by Rex Peppers 2012-04-24T04:42:00

that was pretty hard. some of those enemies jump/drop on you really fast :)

Tiny Planet by CherryNukaCola 2012-04-25T03:58:00

i'm not sure what i just did but it was awesome.

Space Bear by madflame991 2012-04-26T05:09:00

pretty funny. were there more wolf attackers coming if i waited longer? they were my favorite part.

Galactic Taxi by remeh 2012-05-13T18:19:00

Very fun. Audio was perfect. The linux community needs more games like this.

River Runner by omaha 2012-04-24T04:15:00

Thank you everyone for the kind words.

I am working on an android release this week, just need a day of rest after the weekend. iPhone will be more difficult, but I'd love to make that happen.

My personal best score is 3555. Has anyone done better?

Regarding the theme: The idea was that you're playing in the 'tiny' world of a single leaf, trying to navigate a tiny stream of water, with the occasional firefly buzzing past you and lighting the way.

River Runner by omaha 2012-04-24T04:34:00

There is definitely a prize if you beat 10000. More than one person can win the prize.

River Runner by omaha 2012-04-25T03:10:00

Regarding the theme: The idea was that you're playing in the 'tiny' world of a single leaf, trying to navigate a tiny stream of water, with the occasional firefly buzzing past you and lighting the way.

Thanks again everyone!

River Runner by omaha 2012-04-25T05:04:00

edbadiux: that's a great score! i haven't managed to score that well after many tries :) remember, there is a special bonus at 10000.

River Runner by omaha 2012-04-27T13:18:00

These levels are in fact procedurally generated. They follow a sine wave of varying amplitude, with a random +/-1 added to give it the smaller details near the shore.

I ran out of time before I could test more complicated waveforms with varying frequency, but I'm working on an android version that includes that an much more :)

Thanks for the feedback!

Oh, and yes, there really is a prize if you reach 10000 or greater. Many people have reached 5000, but 10000 is possible if you can stay focused long enough.

River Runner by omaha 2012-04-27T13:24:00

I just scored 10559!!!! It is officially possible to win the prize :)

TinyInspiration by Shigor 2012-04-26T04:46:00

Globe by gavin5564 2012-04-24T04:24:00

couldn't get it running on my linux box or my mac :(

Predominantly Tiny World by Graham Weldon 2012-04-26T03:33:00

This game has a ton of potential. As others mentioned, we would love to see more interactivity with the saucers when they are off-ground. The controls feel like we should be shooting them while they are flying around above us.

A Super Mario Summary by johanp 2012-04-24T21:38:00

i really enjoyed this one. nicely done

Epic Robot Battle For Territory by stigmawall 2012-04-26T04:11:00

i was only playing single player, couldn't get into it :(

Propolis by sampyxis 2012-04-26T03:55:00

wouldn't run on my mac. I usually have better luck with java stuff, sorry I couldn't play this.

MyLittleWorld by guzzungo 2012-04-23T18:22:00

looks pretty awesome but can't do silverlight :(

Hive by ericdpitts 2012-04-26T03:57:00

Wish I could run this on my mac or linux machines.

Little Locations by Nolan C 2012-04-24T18:00:00

I didn't get any audio. had fun playing though :) pretty challenging jumping on the tall 1-wide pillars. seemed like the newgrounds flash wrapper was causing it to skip the main menu?

caveman defending his cave from aliens while monoliths drop down from the sky by bms 2012-04-24T05:06:00

that was cool.

Tiny Defenders by Raptor85 2012-04-23T18:20:00

couldn't get the linux-64 build to run (ldd shows issues with libSDL_mixer-1.2.so.0 and libSDL_ttf-2.0.so.0).

Alienbomb Defender by steffen1997 2012-04-26T04:26:00

I didn't quite understand what to do, but it was pretty cool for a few minutes there :)

Minikin by tummyache 2012-04-24T03:43:00

that was a lot of fun. thanks!

Rocket Boat by RHY3756547 2012-04-30T01:13:00

Incredible graphics. I too had a hard time figuring out the controls. It was also very clever combining the HUD/time/score into the level design the way you did. It took me a couple of deaths before I realized I was even playing the game and should have been controlling the boat :)

Green Invasion by Kableado 2012-04-24T21:09:00

Some sounds would have made this really incredible. Graphics were wonderful.

Spaceship Planet Merge by codeapparat 2012-04-25T02:33:00

not having any luck playing xna games on my mac or linux+wine.

Epic Scale Warfare by devwil 2012-04-24T20:44:00

Couldn't really 'play' the game. not sure what i was supposed to do after killing the firing squad.

The Last Ride Home by orunbot 2012-05-13T18:14:00

very fun. This could work great as a mobile game, steer by touching the screen in the direction you want the car to move?

Prince of Leaves by evilseanbot 2012-04-27T20:37:00

Fun and loved the music/sounds. The characters' movements could have been fleshed out a bit more to provide better feedback on the controls.

It felt a bit laggy/slow, some added pace will do wonders.

Fire Around by Naouak 2012-04-24T21:05:00

Can't run XNA 4.0 games from my mac or linux machines.

I don't agree that all games should be browser games, but I do wish there were more cross-platform titles.

Minisk, You Will by Miltage 2012-04-23T16:02:00

very fun. also very hard to play with a touchpad.

Slime Mold by howieV (binarygirl) 2012-04-23T18:35:00

wouldn't run on my linux machine, chrome 18

Rockland by Jeroenimoo0 2012-04-24T21:33:00

LD24 — Evolution

My Pairs and Me by Evilion 2012-09-07T13:21:00

That was fun.

Microraptor by robcozzens 2012-08-27T06:32:00

that's really impressive. what was the plan for this game?

you should keep working on this.

LD24 X0ut by X-0ut 2012-08-30T01:22:00

Very fun. I got it running in a windows VM (on a laptop with a touchpad), so it wasn't quite the experience you probably had in mind, but it was still a lot of fun.

Cellvolution by thewiseguy99 2012-09-07T13:40:00

I had fun playing this. Wish it was just a bit faster-paced.

The life of Cat by Amoaeba Junior 2012-09-08T14:04:00

This was pretty cool. I really enjoyed the emotionality.

A Caveman Goes to Space! by yajiv 2012-08-27T06:28:00

I tried running in a windows VM, but it's saying it requires an XNA-compatible graphics card.

Holding out for the linux/mac port :)

42 Stories by Priapus 2012-08-28T01:08:00

This was fun. I tried playing a couple of times but was frustrated that the computer was beating me so handily. Once I started to lose, I really wanted to start over, but I couldn't figure out a way other than reloading the entire game (playing the web version), which took a long time to load.

Seriously though, this was cool. I just wish it was easier the first couple of rounds, hard to tell what I was doing wrong.

Beetlefield : The Forecast by Benjamin 2012-08-28T00:50:00

This is an amazing game. So much polish.

Barrel Roll by omaha 2012-08-30T15:39:00

Yeah.... level 3 was thrown together at the last moment, I didn't realize how hard it was going to be before it was too late.

I'm working on a post-compo version with a more reasonable progression of difficulties (and some CC audio so you don't go crazy listening to the same short loop over and over again). I'll post on the front page when that's ready to go.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I learned so much last weekend, I can't wait for LD25.

LD26 — Minimalism

Square Heart Flower by JonathanG 2013-05-18T18:33:00

This was pretty cool. Couldn't figure out the cube communication bits, but it was beautiful.

_M_ by GranaDa 2013-05-15T04:40:00

I have no idea what I just played or what I was supposed to do but it was still great. Audio was fantastic. Loved the (industrial?) background noise.

Box's World by avidgamerNino 2013-05-04T17:02:00

I loved the geometric graphics. Very clean and fun to look at. I felt the audio needed some TLC. The 'electric shock' sound in level 3 was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Absolutely loved the in-game tutorial.

Wandering in the void by hmmvot 2013-04-29T12:57:00

hardcore, indeed. i couldn't get past the first couple of moves.

Grid Blaster by Alucard Jay 2013-04-30T03:40:00

Wonderful shooter. Nice and difficult. Requires you to focus on two goals at once. Really enjoyed this.

Minimalize by CogentInvalid 2013-04-29T04:32:00

Nicely done. The audio is fantastic.

Sequence to Minimalism by ShawnFeatherly 2013-05-04T17:04:00

Love the concept. Wish I had a better idea what effect my choices were having and how well i was doing.

Mobius by 3beards 2013-04-30T03:29:00

This was a great game. Kept me entertained for many levels.

Dragenvoy by Nolojen 2013-05-13T02:11:00

Excellent work. I was down in RVA that weekend and saw you working on this. I never realized what exactly what going on until just now. Very cool.

The Cave by euwaku 2013-05-08T03:21:00

Excellent work. I enjoyed the music, and the level design.

Potato The Destroyer by Cory Martin 2013-04-29T12:45:00

if only he was shooting a potato gun...

great game.

Hyperdimensional Gorofu Shot Champion by uncade 2013-04-30T03:14:00

Tiger Woods giggled and out popped a Japanese. What?

Also, this is amazing.

Negia Kfula by elbowroom 2013-05-04T17:13:00

I couldn't score. After re-reading the instructions I realized that's because I needed to wait for the balls to come to rest. Some minimal sounds (on contact) would have made this a lot more engaging.

DudeJump by agnulf 2013-04-29T12:37:00

that's pretty cool. there was some kind of a delay between landing on a platform and being able to jump to the next. it felt like I should be able to jump sooner after landing.

accord by omaha 2013-04-29T12:32:00

It is possible to jump 'around' the platforms that spawn directly overhead. Check out the run starting at 2:52 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LI5SNOfHgOA

accord by omaha 2013-05-03T16:19:00

uncade/x01010111, you are the coolest. That remix is fantastic. Let's talk soon, I would love to integrate this into a post-compo build.

Drug Hunt by kill0u 2013-05-15T04:54:00

Some of the audio started to get to me after a couple of rounds. I could only take so many trips...

Brilliant idea.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

10 sec. Fast Beef by Alexander Ponomariov 2013-09-02T11:54:00

Hilarious. Fun. Angry Birds will never be the same. I love it.

LD28 — You Only Get One

Copyright Inc by Ongaku 2013-12-17T22:44:00

Funny take, really hard to get the hang of controls - I wasn't exactly sure what I was supposed to do...? I like the concept a lot though haha

(also little bug note: the countdown timer counts up to 5 rather than down to 0)

Burning Love by Ted Brown 2013-12-17T21:17:00

This game is more fun than it should be haha - humor is great, and I love Grog's sound (some of the other sfx could use some touching up). Gets perhaps a little too difficult a little too fast..

FowL Play by Sakuyan 2013-12-17T21:20:00

Nice graphics. Bit music was driving me a little insane, but the sfx work for it. I think my favorite element is the chicken.. It may get a little too tricky too quickly?

A Trip To The Moon by Dayko 2013-12-17T19:25:00

Nicely done! Very satisfying sound effects, particularly the cannon, and the graphics are great too. A little unclear what's happening at the end..?

Console Wars 3D by wezrule 2013-12-17T21:21:00

South Park!!! haha Great take on the theme (and love that reference)

Shadow Night by ParaPup 2013-12-17T19:31:00

Great mood! I glitched out when the ghost pushed me out of the building and into the void... But love the use of 3D audio. One thing to consider - rain (as opposed to thunder) might be a more constant sound, so it may work a little better to have the rain be static (not 3D) and the thunder 3D? Nice work though!

0RBITALIS by AlanZucconi 2013-12-17T20:37:00

Nice use of 'fuzz' in the backing audio, gives it a really nice atmosphere that fits with the whole vibe. I found the audio "smash" noises that happen after you've won the level annoying - maybe have a different sound once it no longer matters if you've hit the target? But nice one, would love to see more levels!

Budgetstorm 300 by srimech 2013-12-17T22:42:00

Cool bullet concept -hard to get the hang of at first, but makes for really interesting game play. Good stuff!

Asphyxia by Rahazan 2013-12-24T03:35:00

Incredibly moving. I originally felt that the text was moving too slow but eventually decided that it fit the mood perfectly.

Asphyxia by Rahazan 2013-12-24T14:14:00

It appears that you have included 3rd party commercial source code in your git repo.

You should really remove the "External" assets from your tree.

UniSwarm by ChaseC 2013-12-17T19:48:00

This could really benefit from a brief tutorial at the beginning that offers some guidance into game play mechanics

Medieval Fantasy Island by aayars 2013-12-17T21:46:00

Insane graphics - very very impressive for 72 hours. Atmosphere works nicely, especially with foley sounds (birds, etc. are great, although they quickly give the impression that they might be looping a little too much for the amount of diversity in the track). Made me want to play WoW again haha. Well done!

One Touch Of Music by KumoKairo 2013-12-17T19:45:00

Best game I've played today so far. This is also a fantastic way to develop melody recognition/learning - keep going with this!!!

One Touch Of Music by KumoKairo 2013-12-17T22:32:00

Just spent (again) way too much time playing this... is it beatable?

Monkey Rally by antila 2013-12-17T21:36:00

Great graphics, great puzzles, and who doesn't love monkeys! The music killed me after a couple minutes though, an option to mute would really be great here.

Cure the infected! by archaeometrician 2013-12-18T06:17:00

Fun game! (played the post-comp); a thought: with music as present as this, it would be nice to have a mute feature (or to have a different track with each level). Nicely done though!

Earth Prime by Satyre 2013-12-17T20:31:00

I like the concept, but it's not really fun or interesting enough to keep you in there - maybe either make the multipliers bigger (so game progresses faster) or have a bit more that you can put input into?

YOGO Submarines by lilinx 2013-12-17T21:27:00

I love what this is getting at. It's a really innovative use of audio, and the idea has a lot of potential. What frustrated me is that the L/R/Z placement of mines couldn't have any audio panning (of course, because you're sharing a single set of earbuds) data. I understand that this is totally by necessity (and ratings reflect that :) ), but it'd be very cool to have an implementation where you can still get pan data to help find the mines.

Unibrow by ViliX64 2013-12-17T19:54:00

Great mechanic - the switching from 2 to 3 dimensions really makes the game work! Like Piat, I eventually got to some puzzles that became a little too frustrating, but it's a great start. The theme music is really nicely done, great use of piano, especially with some of those low notes that hit around min8 or so. Nice!

Pilot's Last Stand by phi6 2013-12-17T21:31:00

Great voice acting! The controls were frustrating, I quickly felt fairly claustrophobic in the ship - but then again that got across a certain aesthetic very effectively.. The missle launching/unauthorized launch concept was a little unclear...

The Black Lighthouse by funselektor 2013-12-17T21:53:00

Great looking game - especially with water, and the fog is nicely done. The controls were, for me, somewhat prohibitive. I got a little bored dealing with the mechanics of the boat. But overall well done!

ONE.Platformer by Bogden 2013-12-24T03:34:00

The mechanics are lovely. It's begging for a soundtrack of some kind.

Choose Wisely by zconnelly13 2013-12-17T21:11:00

I love the drawing style graphics, really nice aesthetic. I probably spent longer playing this than anything else today - its very involved (double jump ftw).

Jump Chip by arkeus 2013-12-17T19:36:00

This is great!!! Really satisfyingly difficult - and I love the control concept that turns traditional WASD on its head a bit... There are a couple places where the music track repeats without quite syncing up to beat on the repeat, may want to check that out

Ultimate Wish by Carduus 2013-12-18T17:09:00

I LOVE the graphics!!! And I enjoyed the controls too. Wish I could make sound for yoU! Thanks much

Pay Back by DalsGames 2013-12-17T20:46:00

Fun throwback - and the granny sounds are great - the music was starting to drive me a little insane, but I liked the sound effects so I didn't want to mute anything. Maybe a little more diverse (or simpler) music and an option to mute?

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

The Valley Rule by Raiyumi 2014-05-17T15:51:00

That was really fantastic. The pace was perfect, as I continued to discover new abilities and explore more of the world.

The environmental animations were spot on. It's amazing what a different the water falling and the movement of the surface of the deadly white lake/pond things can do to create an emotional attachment to the world you're experiencing.

I'm keeping this entry in my "inspiration" bookmarks.

Teddy & His Cat by ruthiepee 2014-05-04T17:57:00

this was really great. a little dark at times. the animations and characters are fantastic. the sound of the cat talking was delightful.

Dig Hard by petey123567 2014-05-17T15:35:00

Lots of fun. Very difficult.

I think sticking to spacebar for jumping might have made it a little easier to pick up. I spent a while trying to get used to Z/X controls.

Please Come Back by PapyPilgrim 2014-05-17T15:27:00

This was nicely put together.

Ursa Miner by drstik 2014-04-28T03:22:00

Graphics are nice and clean and minimalist. I love that.

The ship was difficult to control.

SimWarren by thenmal 2014-04-29T01:39:00

This was cute. I had trouble, couldn't figure out how to pick up the carrots so I kept dying after a short amount of time.

A boy and his Hellworm by orangepascal 2014-04-28T03:44:00

Another fantastic title from orangepascal. Love the gameplay here.

Frame rate did suffer on my laptop (Mac). There were some rendering artifacts to the left of the screen.

24100 by lekochen 2014-05-02T17:25:00

Very nice work.

Ablate by VDOgamez 2014-04-29T01:52:00

Faster digging would be very helpful. After a while I couldn't tell if the countdown was complete or if I was waiting for something else to happen.

Wriggle Worm by gikdew 2014-04-29T01:45:00

This was great. My high score was 508.

I think a soundtrack would make it significantly more enjoyable. I would also suggest slowing it down just a touch and adjusting the "you're hitting something" sound to be a little less jarring.

The Spyware Who Loved Me by andrewkennedy 2014-04-28T02:58:00

This is an excellent game. Fantastic pace. The difficulty progresses perfectly.

The game crashed immediately after beating the level pictured above (middle-center, with the triangle of obstacles to jump through). It made me sad. I really wanted to see what came next.

Series Of Choices by joe40001 2014-04-30T21:40:00

Very nice work. This was fun.

Unfortunately for me I got stuck immediately after dying. No amount of key mashing would let me exit the "move around in time" mode.

Cry Baby by Elforama 2014-04-28T04:17:00

This was hilarious. I really wish there was a soundtrack or some audio effects.

AHH LAVA! by Dreii 2014-04-28T03:16:00

Nice work.

It got a little frustrating when the random level generation left me with few/zero workable paths. I was playing the web version.

Anett by KumoKairo 2014-04-29T01:32:00

Very impressive graphics and animations. The music is wonderful. I had fun running around the world.

The gameplay was a bit confusing, as I thought the white orbs were my friends but it seemed like they were killing me.

GameJammed by ShivanHunter 2014-04-28T03:51:00

I'm still getting crashes on both the Web and Desktop versions :(

Fire Exit by psykobilliethekid 2014-05-04T17:50:00

Mole Position by Glint Games 2014-04-28T02:47:00

Is there a web build? *crosses fingers*

Room Cleaning Simulator 2014 by lokijki 2014-04-28T03:57:00

YES. This was amazing. I was having such a nice time pushing piles of crap onto the sensor, and then the COOKIES.

Thank you for this.

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Cell 09 by 01010111 2014-12-10T16:27:00

Nice work. What happened to the level you tweeted Saturday morning? :)

DEBATE by anokta 2014-12-10T22:54:00

I was debated.

I really loved the little audio sounds. They felt both melodic and as if they were trying to communicate something. It's a shame I didn't have any opponents. I'll try back again later :)

Supermarket Bagman by Pixelfan Games 2014-12-10T17:59:00

I loved the into graphics, but I felt that the wall jumping mechanic wasn't working as expected.

Mutton Mower by comatomatoes 2014-12-10T18:05:00

Some audio would go a long way to making this most engaging.

I had a hard time in the first level (took many tries to beat it). The next level seemed almost impossible.

Swat Team by rainshapes 2014-12-10T17:49:00

This was fun. It took a bunch of mashing keys to get it to move from the title screen to the pre-game menu, but after that it was good times.

Really liked to music. Wish there was a more significant screen effect when something was splatted.

Snow Box by omaha 2014-12-10T16:44:00

Thanks everybody!

The controls definitely left something to be desired.

The aiming is implemented relative to the *camera*'s viewpoint, not the player's, which means pointing "down" will produce a different trajectory depending on where the player is on the field. It made sense when play testing on a gamepad but far less so on a keyboard.

I also think using Unity's physics to control the player was a mistake. It's far too slow to react. Next time :)

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

RELIC by CptDustmite 2015-05-09T23:23:00

Nice work. It's amazing how much fun I had despite having much gameplay. Rather than "fixing" that, I think you embraced it, and it worked out wonderfully.

BED✰HOGG by 01010111 2015-04-22T07:42:00

Very Nice! I really like the AI. It's tough but beatable. The feather particles are beautiful.

Shield Maiden by bitslap 2015-04-22T11:38:00

I'm confused about the mac port. Can you explain what's going on with this?
“Shieldmaiden.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

What security settings are you suggesting that we should lower?

Bango by timtipgames 2015-04-21T14:00:00

I really enjoyed the clean style of your graphics and effects. The game is complicated but fun.

Freeze Tank by Thijsku 2015-04-21T19:53:00

This sounds really cool. Any chance of a mac build?

Billy McMath Solves Problems by Manky 2015-04-27T22:51:00

A Big Freakin' Ball O' Hurt by LMT 2015-04-21T19:50:00

This is cool! This is very similar to the effect I tried to achieve in my game. I'd be interested to see what yours plays like with mouse controls :)

Fathom by Joe Williamson 2015-04-27T11:51:00

Very nice work.

I would love to see a post mortem describing where things where 40 hours into the event, where each component/feature stood in terms of development, integration, and polish, and how you made the decision to switch to the jam.

You Can Shave the Baby by chikun Dev Team 2015-04-25T12:29:00

I would pay for this. Nice work.

SLICK LICKER by KodingNights 2015-04-21T17:16:00

It took me a second to figure things about but this was really quite fun. I agree the a little more jump power would make it more approachable. It took me a while to get out of the initial bottom area :)

Mass-X by hexagore 2015-04-22T11:22:00

I made it through the tutorial levels without really knowing what I was doing to succeed, so it was hard when I got to more complicated puzzles and wasn't sure which mechanics I should be focusing on.

The graphics are beautiful. The music and sound effects are lovely. I enjoyed this.

Wee Pon by DarkMeatGames 2015-04-27T22:42:00

The minimal graphics are charming.

I felt a little claustrophobic at times, but I think that might have been necessary to make the level navigation into more of a puzzle?

Fatal Attraction by erbridge 2015-04-22T11:51:00

That was really hard. I think I started to get the hang of it but once I got moving fast it seemed like the game was out of my control.

The music in really nice and the art style is beautiful. I especially like the parallax in your star field.

Slam Jam Bakery by DragonXVI 2015-04-21T18:45:00

Very nice work. Music is great. Gameplay is nice and tight. Fire extinguisher mechanic works wonderfully. Difficulty progression is spot on.

Hold Space To Fart by talecrafter 2015-04-20T11:12:00

Animations are great. I particularly enjoyed the use of screenshake, which really helps to sell the action.

The War Dog by Xinelu 2015-04-20T03:12:00

The music and concept are beautiful.

Flail Rider by jushii 2015-04-22T07:49:00

Nice work! Unfortunately I had trouble playing with my xb360 controller on my mac. Seemed like only half of the controls were working. Are you using InControl or unity's native input API?

Bonfires by Ivan Sukhanov 2015-04-22T11:43:00

The music and graphics and atmosphere were wonderful. I was confused by the gameplay and the low mouse sensitivity.

Dusk by nov1kk 2015-04-21T17:52:00

Unconventional Office Wars by vikpek 2015-04-30T13:57:00

nice work! music, audio, animations, and particle effects are all strong.

I had trouble with the input controls at first (not responding to my WASD keypresses) but after I switched to fullscreen and it worked perfectly. I was running firefox on my mac.

Angry Beavers by PixelStuff 2015-04-22T11:45:00

Your webserver is treating the mac app like a directory instead of a file, so we can't download it from a browser.

Any chance of a mac or web build? I would love to check this out.

MagDef by jhell 2015-04-21T17:24:00

The audio was awesome. The game was cool, but I thought it felt a little slow at first.

Hunger King by mentatzoe 2015-04-22T11:33:00

This was hard! It's fun.

It felt like I couldn't move while shooting (feeding) the customers, which made it really hard to get up and down the screen while firing. Maybe my timing's just not that great?

Crazylice by Oran Bar 2015-04-22T11:57:00

This was fun, and surprisingly hard.

I like it when the bad guys start tumbling/rotating when they get close to you. Definitely adds to the sense of dread. The audio was really nice, too.

battle star by omaha 2015-04-20T08:21:00

You have to click to start the game. Maybe it was still on the title screen?

battle star by omaha 2015-04-21T18:09:00

Thanks Park!

I'll concede the part about improving the title text and providing a bit more direction. I was going for a minimalist appeal but might have gone too far.

Shape Blaster by phantomas 2015-04-27T12:03:00

Nice work! I've always loved the chain reaction mechanic.

If I could change just one thing: the sound effects should move up through the scales to reinforce the sense of progression.

COPY GUN by jukimv1986 2015-04-21T17:34:00

I had trouble playing on my mac's touchpad. I've got right-click bound to two-finger click, but that didn't seem to register properly.

Hello Dear Friend by ruthiepee 2015-08-25T03:31:00

Nice! I loved the premise, and I particularly loved the animation of the employees.

Was there something I could click to go back and show my dad how wrong he was?

Grave by uheartbeast 2015-08-25T05:25:00

Mood, graphics, fun, it's all here. I'm amazed at how much you managed to squeeze out of two or three basic sounds. Visually stunning.

Inokan by gillenew 2015-08-25T03:16:00

loved the graphics. I think this would play well on a gamepad.

I had trouble with the left-hand-attack implementation. Ever since Super Mario Bros I've felt like my right hand/fingers are for attacking and my left is for movement.

The Old One by Chris Olsen 2015-08-25T04:37:00

This is an excellent piece of work. The animation, the mood, and lighting, the character design, the particle effects, so many things here are just spot on.

Have A Cow by BulletsArePeopleToo 2015-08-25T06:38:00

Here you have mastered the element of surprise. Excellent work.

Tales of the Underworld: Rebellion of the Souls by ladybenko 2015-08-25T04:03:00

I liked the game.

I felt like the controls could use some refinement (like allowing me to modulate the size of the jump with longer/shorter keypresses). I also thought that with all the lovely animations on screen, I was surprised when I died or when a level ended and I wasn't really rewarded with some kind of "juice". It just sort of switched modes with no fanfare.

I think a little bit more attention on the primary actions would go a long way towards making this a great little game.

You are the Hero by rotpar 2015-08-25T04:27:00

The character selection telling me "wrong" was the greatest. I honestly laughed out loud.

Nice work. It's actually quite hard, and I think that's a good thing.

Congrats.

WEAKER BOWSER BROS by JHM 2015-08-25T03:50:00

It's impressive how much of the SMB theme you've managed to recreate here. I didn't have much success with the game in the traditional sense, but it definitely made me want to try.

I had a really hard time trying to play it on my macbook, it didn't seem to recognize my right-mouse button (mapped to two-finger click). Maybe that's a Unity bug?

There was a LOT of text to read up front, and the font was a little hard to read. I bet if you added the instructions to your description it will help some people out once they get in game :)

Savage Swarm by TsN_RaMPaGE 2015-08-25T04:22:00

A very direct interpretation of the theme :)

The audio is great. The variety of the character selection is a nice touch.

Thanks everyone!

I definitely see where you're coming from regarding the movement speed. I fear my original plans to make an action game bled into my later attempts to make something peaceful.

I tend to make the same mistake in every LD: I don't turn all my systems into an actual *game* until late in the weekend, leaving very little time to balance and correct the finer details. I will try to remember this the next time around.

All games should have a horn button.

This is just beautiful. I can't get enough of your art style. I didn't think it was possible to do so much with two buttons.

The visual aesthetic is lovely. The game is surprisingly difficult. I like it.

Hillary vs Donald - America's Greates Battle by holgk 2015-12-15T06:39:00

This is great. A nice simulation.

I'm not sure why the campaign actions are only available if i click on my candidate (why not just leave them on screen all the time?), but once I figured that out everything made sense and worked well for me.

The game didn't seem to want to trigger level completion for me. Do you have to get it 100% correct to move on to the next level?

Looks like the web link points to a windows executable? I was hoping to check it out in browser :)

Kitty Glacier Surfing by HUMANICS 2015-12-22T03:47:00

This is very funny.

I wish the cat was animated. I so badly wanted to see him/her doing tricks while in the air. Maybe I just played too many snowboarding games growing up?

Chop Chop by MisterMortal 2015-12-16T20:56:00

this is great!

I wish there was a counter and a high score. I was really proud of my last run but I can't say how good it was.

The Climbers by NirabazGAMES 2015-12-22T03:41:00

This is wonderful. The ambient audio is great.

I would like to see a bit more play in the rope physics, the swinging motions started to get a bit repetitive after a while.
