Pattern Puzzle by wccrawford 2014-12-08T12:37:00
i didn't really get what kind of patterns we're looking for. a simple tutorial would have been nice. i got to the second level by pushing random shapes though! :d

neat art style! felt like there was no point on passing levels after the first couple of them though.
Thanks for trying out @Mincemeat, such a shame, I suppose that's the main drawback of making multiplayer games. Hopefully, more people will give the game a try, making EVERYONE happier! :)
@Nuclear Napalm, sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, the server I run the game on tends to be unstable from time to time. It should be up right now, if you'd like to give it a second chance. Thanks! :)
Thanks everyone! Sorry to ones got stuck in the title screen, the game attempts to connect to the server automatically while you're in, but the server apparently crashed once again which I just recovered.
Hopefully, you should be able to join back if you try it again now. And many apologies again for my crappy server. :)
Cheers for all the feedback!
Sorry to hear all the loners out there who couldn't find any candidates to yell at. I try to play the game whenever I find the time to join you guys, but it's indeed tricky to find enough people in the arena to debate 'properly'! :)
I suppose it was a bit too risky decision on my side to make a solely multiplayer online game for the jam. Maybe I should organise specific time periods, so that more people can join at the same time. Anyhow, thanks again all for giving it a try! Muchly appreciated! :)
Thank you a lot guys! Glad to see more people enjoying the game! :)
@Demy thanks, it's likely that your connection might have been lost, it's a bit misleading as there is no additional message for that, sorry for that!
@xgeovanni fair point! put the 64-bit Linux build link above (couldn't test it though please let me know if it works out for you.).
lovely visuals, especially the transition animations look just beautiful! :) the game itself looks solid and imo one of the most fun entries so far, even though it's heavily based on portal. great job!
hahaha that tree is creepy!
really nice concept! i really wish that there would be an actual win/lose scenario to encourage people writing relevant stuff. would love to see the resulting content in that case! :)
really liked the mood of the game! gameplay felt a bit odd at start, but i think i got used to it after a few tries. not sure if it lands to an end though? :)
simple yet genuinely inspiring! excellent work!
character art is so lovely! it was certainly a privilege to be a duck hero! :)
a pleasant game for christmas! :)
nice driving mechanics, good job! :) it's a shame that the game itself seems to be somewhat unfinished for now. also, i'd appreciate if it was possible to move reverse when needed.
hahaha awesome songwriting and voice acting skills! :d
art style is lovely! definitely deserves more attention. one thing though is that i couldn't relate the idea to the theme (i got stuck just after getting the green guy join our 'family' though, my bad if there is something else at the end).
hahaha, really nice concept! i slightly cheated at the end though (screenshot) to get the answer. :d good job!
the coolest game i've played so far! art style is lovely, so as how the game progresses. it's a shame though that it ended so quickly! :)
hahahaha adding endless enemies was amazing, felt like executing order 66 or something. :)
interesting concept, liked the way it just 'goes on'. in terms of gameplay, it gets somewhat repetitive though.
really enjoyed how you can combine the attacks together! nice job. :)
extremely creepy in a good way! loved everything about it. no negative comments except for the description, which almost made me skip playing it. :)
nice adaptation of ftl to 3d, especially liked the art style! :) might need more variations though.
pretty neat visuals, especially loved the screenception thingy! :) fairly enjoyable entry overall.
just wtf?! - in a good way. :d
p.s.: i seriously want to punch that guy now!
it's fun to play. smoothing the camera might be needed though to avoid nausea and confusion.
i must say looks fairly nice for a first game, good job! :) on the other hand, there is not much in the game not seen before. also, i wouldn't have used mouse for 4-directional fire scheme, it's rather ambiguous to go for the direction you want. still, congratulations!
probably the most polished game could be done in 48 hours! impressive work, i agree with others on the difficulty though. great job overall! :)
really nice concept, liked the art style too! it's a shame that i can only play it by myself. great job though! :)
nice mood, fits the theme. ball physics feel a bit off and improbable, especially when the ball hits the edges of the paddle. appreciate the energy bar in this case! :)
solid audio and art style! love the way the bass drum kicks in. :)
Interesting concept, a simple tutorial would have helped me a lot though! Also, maybe it's just me, but that 'D' key item was so misleading at the start - I kept pressing 'D' in panic for a while! :d
looks really neat! i enjoyed playing it. :) one thing to mention, it would be great if you allow WASD as well for the movement as it's easier to use with the mouse for most people.
hahaha cool concept, and looks cute! wasn't patient enough to stick to the end though. :)
too simple to be this hard! :)
Clever interpretation of the theme. Very well done indeed! :)
really cute art style, loved it! :) in fact, great job overall!
looks nice! seems like it needs more attractions for the gameplay though.
liked the sound effects! :)
lovely storyline, liked the way it looks too. well done!
a bit strange choice of keyboard controls, still an interesting idea though. maybe i'm just blaming the keys because i kept lacking momentum. :)
looks nice! it feels like it's too dark to actually play though! :/
liked the music! fun concept, but feels a little rushed.
hahah very old school. reminded me of early 2000s' browser adgames. strangely addictive though! :)
very clever idea with nice puzzles. loved it!
Fun game to play! I frankly like the idea of 'being' a present myself. The graphics also look really nice, except sometimes presents' shaders act kinda weird?
hahaha really fun game! it would have been amazing if we compete against 'real' jammers instead! :)
whoa, brilliant concept, loved it! wish you had more time to explore the mechanics more. great job overall!
cool concept! didn't get what to do after opening the door though. anything more?
liked the idea. controls and collision detection seem to get messy from time to time. still fun to play though! :)
very interesting gameplay, well done! :)
really nice looking game. i didn't have trouble controlling it as it somewhat resembles the layout from the binding of isaac. didn't get the point on dying from falling down though, imo it would be more convenient if it was a closed level. otherwise, fairly fun to play! got around 4000 so far! :)
looks proper! it's nice to see different interpretations of the theme.
hahaha, very well fit to the theme!
lovely! it was a nice story from the beginning to the end, and a suspiciously familiar one too! :) it was a good break overall after all these arcade games!
very polished game. simple but fun! :)
very interesting gameplay. liked the concept of not killing. nice job! :)
this was truly amazing! most possibly the best game i've played so far in this jam. just awesome work!! :)
thanks all for the lovely feedback! :) glad to see people enjoying this yet ridiculous concept. there will hopefully be more to come soon enough!
@Bandersnatch sure thing, there isn't much on the audio analysis part in the code for now, but love to see what you come up with! and please excuse me if the code is way too messy to read. :)
interesting mechanics and art style, wish there was more of it. also, probably a debug thing but it'd awesome if changing level by right-clicking would affect the gameplay as well! :)
it was really fun, just finished it! :) the second weapon mechanic was a really nice addon too, i believe there is definitely a potential to extend the idea into a full-length game!
whoa this is too neat to be true! really well polished for 48h and fun to play. i wish hugs would make enemies closer rather than getting them 'killed' though, haha. amazing job overall! :)
like the mechanics of the game, feels very smooth! :)
cool entry, haven't seen anything similar so far! shame on the spammy popups at the start though. :)
really impressed with the art style, also a fun touch on the slowmo dubstep action! :) i wish there was more for the gameplay though, this game definitely deserves that! very decent job overall.
simple yet very clever concept. and it's amazingly implemented too! loved this one :)
hahah grab & throw is so fun! like the music too. nicely done! :)
haha interesting backstory, and very old school indeed. well done! :)
despite the bugs you already mentioned in the web version, very decent game. well designed levels with a nice gameplay :) had a few problems with the collision detection, but still great job overall!
hahaha this is fckn hardcore! :)
liked the art style! good job overall :)
really enjoyed this one! interesting concept and nicely put as well. great job :)
hahaha awesome soundfx! :)
this is amazing, one of the richest content games of this ld! nice touch on the boss level as well. really enjoyed this so far :)
whoa very neat idea, loved it! nice puzzles as well! :) one minor thing i wish to have to have stronger - particularly for the wind - powers, haha. great job overall!!
haha those enemies are creeepy! the cheese ball physics were kind of unusual, but still managed to hit some 'walkers'! :) well done!
this is amazing! very nicely done! :)
that's a cute little game! many kudos for both the spring mechanics and the interactive music elements. very decent job! :)
haha nice twist, and bizarre atmosphere overall i must say. in a good way though. well done! :)
haha interesting idea, and cool background music indeed! it'd be awesome if the gameplay was synced to the music with claps and everything! :)
hahaha neat idea, great job! :)
hahaha this is one crazy game! got addicted for a short period of time, wish had more in it. awesome job overall! :)
hahaha the very first time i experienced a damping super hero! enjoyed the dialogues. wish there were some cheesy sound fx to fill up. still, thumbs up for this entry! :)
awesome models, very fluffy! :) it's a bit bizarre to shoot sheep to protect the sheep though. haha
wow i think it's the very first time i've seen a game on these guys! awesome idea, well put! :)
loooved the art style, especially the title screen is so cute! :) fun to exploit the rainbow mechanic as well, haha. nicely done!
ha very interesting concept. it was quite fun to play too. well done! :)
nice spinoff to flappy bird, like the idea! :) it'd great if the target colour was more visible on the screen. also, the score did not work for me really, or wasn't there a score at all? hahah.
whoa really cool entry, great job! :)
hahaha nice game! at first, i thought i was supposed to 'protect' the aliens, and it didn't turn out well. :) loved exploding alien parts!
