A little difficult to play with a keyboard that is not QWERTY, but very good idea!

makatak 2014-12-08 03:48

Nice mood and idea, but I'm not really sure how you used the theme :P

coboltandraze 2014-12-08 10:40

There is paradoxically a lot and very little in this game. There are a bunch of mechanics in there, many lasting only a single screen and many not tying into the core mechanic of moving the turret while you escape.

The presentation, outside of the understandable lack of animations, is fantastic. However several mechanics, such as jumping, feel like a prototype and the level design doesn't really challenge in the right way. I wonder if fewer mechanics and less detailed art would have given you more time for polish. Regardless, a very strong showing.

bio-bob 2014-12-08 10:50

Cool idea, I'd like to see a version with some animations and more levels for the mechanics to be expanded upon, but what you have currently is pretty good. I can't really see how this fits with the theme though.

lolwned 2014-12-08 11:25

Really like the mood.

groydis 2014-12-08 11:34

Interesting, Very hard in some places, well executed game. Good work.

anokta 2014-12-08 12:54

it felt a bit too ambitious at start, but was fun to play. it's mooody! :)

tommyno222 2014-12-08 18:32

Graphics, sounds and mood are great. I love the way it turns the screen black when dying. I wish the game was longer and jumping little more fluid.

raincole 2014-12-08 18:33

The scene is too dark for my poor eyes.
Except that the game is really cool.

baknik 2014-12-08 18:34

Got too dark in some places to see what was going on.

uvwar 2014-12-09 01:35

Kind of hard to see the turret/walk across diagonal surfaces. I also wasn't sure where I was in terms of line of sight for the final level. Maybe if the turret had a cone of sight or something so you could know what it sees, or else have much more obvious level layouts so you can deduce what the gun can see before you even start moving. Maybe a little bit brighter too because it was fairly dark on my screen so some peoples monitors may be pitch black. A nice start though if you keep pushing for something cool!

mintarcade 2014-12-09 16:43

Like the mood. Very dark, but probably that what you try to achieve.

Lucariatias 2014-12-09 21:03

This was quite a neat mechanic. I can imagine it being quite fun with two players as well. However, the controls weren't really that tight, and it was often difficult to maneuver. The perspective wasn't great.
Some of the levels were really quite hard, but it didn't seem like there was a logical ordering.
A little too short - some more content could have been good.

customphase 2014-12-09 23:03

Could have some more polish

someone 2014-12-09 23:15

Nice idea. Good mood. Feels incongruous to have no animations though.
The jumping mechanic wasn't very good as the collisions seem a bit glitchy.
Would like to see more interesting puzzles with the other mechanics though.

hbocao 2014-12-09 23:57

Very interesting concept! You should keep working on it... The jump was very weird :P
Nice entry!

mjspecter 2014-12-10 00:12

It's difficult to play but a great challenge!
The mood is definitely set by they art style and the lighting. I enjoy playing it. Awesome idea!

dracomagna 2014-12-10 08:03

You should do less level to really take time to polish during the jam, but nice game.

mechabit 2014-12-10 12:51

neat

mrexcessive 2014-12-11 13:56

Hi there. Like the idea. Got through first two, then trouble. Great atmosphere, like the models/lighting. Sounds are cool also. Good job!

geckoo1337 2014-12-12 06:46

Like the mood. It seems to me too dark, but probably that what you try to achieve. Neat. Thank you for your comment about my game ++

rantt 2014-12-13 20:04

Cool concept, playing both sides. Fun game, I liked it. Not sure it fit the theme.

incredible-ape 2014-12-13 20:05

Really like your use of light/dark to set the mood.

code-medicine 2014-12-13 21:05

Very dark and moody love the atmosphere. The mechanic is neat that he's desperate and could only hack the turret so far. You have a great idea here. The controls were a little strange, jumping in particular was difficult. Though I think the darkness adds to it, I think some how the player and turret need to stand out more. The few puzzles I made it through were pretty good and some of them took me quite a few tries. I would love to see you do something with this one post jam. Nice work.

davidvisscher 2014-12-14 23:15

Fun idea, i like it

pkenney 2014-12-14 23:54

Top down perspective was an interesting choice here, given the 3 dimensions of movement. It was a bit tricky to control, but ambitious and I like that.

ryannielson 2014-12-15 16:23

I like the mood, and the idea of moving a turret and the player to avoid each other is neat. The controls need some work though, and the turret avoidance could be more interesting. Good work overall though.

popcorn897 2014-12-15 16:29

Easy to understand, but the movement is jumpy. The jumps send you flying, and it's hard to tell if you lost or got past a stage. Not terrible, not excellent. Average game.

voxel 2014-12-16 06:36

Too dark for me to make out much of what was happening and not sure how it tied in with the theme, but it's definitely a cool idea. The turret model is impressive too, you made that right?

asobitech 2014-12-16 14:24

I know it's meant to be night, but it's all very very dark. Perhaps some different coloured textures.
But interesting stealth mechanics.

gameproducer 2014-12-28 21:54

Bit too tough to play. I'm not sure if this perspective is the best one. Could consider also for example 3rd person (split screen).

Turret is an OK experiment, but not sure if that made much difference. It meant I needed to move the turret in some location where I won't be going... so it wasn't that big deal.

Art was ok. Spotlights & shadows were nice and helped understand what to avoid & compare height levels of different stuff.
