Great animations and puzzle design.

Great animations and puzzle design.
Funny voice overs and interesting gameplay. Props for doing it all in 3D!
Not too much to do, but matches the theme well.
This game really drew me in with the ambient music and tones.
Cool and silly game. I'd like more control over the fireballs position though.
It was interesting to be able to play different "levels" without having to load or go through a level selection screen. Particle effects were great. I just wish you could do more than jump.
The controls are a bit too sensitive as I seem to always overshoot the block I want to go through. Otherwise, cool concept for a puzzle game.
Since everything is pointed with a rainbow of colors, it can be hard to notice the bullets and spikes coming at you. Otherwise, good controls, and the music was fun!
Cool physics, but ultimately pretty frustrating.
Controls are a bit janky, but an innovative concept.
Some of the platforming is a bit buggy as far as collision detection goes. Interesting how you can stick to the ceiling while jumping though. Not sure if this was intended.
There were a few noticeable bugs, like getting stuck to the ceiling while holding the jump button and the artifacts on the falling sprite. With some refinement I think this concept could be taken far.
Very atmospheric little exploration game.
Very mesmerizing and fun. This could easily be expanded into a larger project.
Loved the ground animation.
Great atmosphere
Took me a bit to understand the concept, but it turned out to be very enjoyable. Very clean execution!
Glad you enjoyed it!
There's definitely more balancing that needs to be done. Thanks for playing!
The multipliers should already be stacking. If they weren't for you, it may be a bug. If anyone else has this issue let me know.
Good job on the animations
Great game! This concept could easily be expanded.
Took me back to Galaga. Well done!
Math Rules! It's simple, but it got me thinking.
Just going to answer some questions people are having. First off, the only thing you can really do as of now is wait for your demonic power bar to charge up, then you can click the orb to summon a demon mower on any of the dirt tiles. There is no audio unfortunately.
Took a couple tries to understand what was going on, but once I got it, was very entertaining.
Loved the audio, and how you worked a story into it. Was this based on the movie Gravity by chance?
Great art and music. More levels please!
Cute game. Loved the little song at the end :)
Collision didn't work as expected. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong, but I didn't shoot anything when I pressed the arrow keys.
Great lighting effects!
The music and the mood makes it.
I'm a huge fan of vector graphics, and these were well done! Some background noise or music would definitely add to the mood.
Cool lighting added to the mood.
Great animations and effects!
Cool concept. Although when I died my character just kind of fell off the screen into oblivion.
Very interesting use of pdf.
It was a bit hard to figure out where the bomb would land, but great job overall!
Best music yet.
A really fun time! I beat it with an all attack speed and health regen build.
Mario Party! Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
The animations (especially level transitions) are incredibly polished. I found myself getting stuck rather quickly since the game didn't give me too much direction as to how to solve the puzzles. Great job.
Not really on theme, but classically addictive style game.
My strategy was to tank as much damage as I could to save my tower's health. That way I would always destroy the enemy towers before they could destroy mine. Cool game, but could use a bit more depth.
Thanks for all the ideas on how to make ammo better! The game could use some extra balancing.
One tip to people having difficulty with ammo. The special spacebar snowball pickup increases in value over time. So patience helps!
This idea is very refreshing, although it took me a bit to get into it.
Nice standard tower defense.Could use some description of the towers in-game though.
Nice sound and graphics. It wasn't really clear why I lost at some points.
Simple concept for a platformer. The controls were just a bit too sensitive for me.
Cool looking level transitions. The side-to-side controls were hard to use with the "rolling" momentum.
Simply and very polished! I'm impressed with the CRT screen effect you created. Mind sharing how you did that? :P
Decent graphics and cool limited-sight concept. The changing maze makes this very challenging, maybe overly so. Movement controls are a bit clunky.
Simple but well done. If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage the CRT effect?
Looks like it has potential based only on the screenshots. You might want to consider a single player game for the next Ludum Dare. Multiplayer makes things difficult to try out.
I didn't fully understand the mechanics at work, but the idea seems polished enough.
The 2-button control scheme doesn't translate well to Snake. The drawings are cute. Congrats on finishing a game!
The audio doesn't really suit a fast-paced game, but congrats on finishing a game!
Pretty easy, but lots of cool particle effects and a nice music track make it fun.
This is a game I could sit and play for a little while. I also appreciate the bit of depth added having buildings boost one another. The interface buttons and menus are a bit dull, but they do the job.
Superb graphics and effects.
I'm not going to rate your game since I wasn't able to get past the level selection screen. How do you select a number in the beginning?
Interesting image effects. It was difficult to figure out where to jump on the heads of the enemies to kill them.
Very innovative, but hard to get used to.
I enjoyed the idea of the main quest completely ending the game. It encourages actively avoiding the main quest, which is something I do anyway. Past that, there's not really much to do. Congrats on finishing a game!
Cool rhythm game.
Simple gameplay, but effective. Unfortunately the two button control scheme hurt more that it helped int his case.
The two button control scheme hurts more than it helps here, unfortunately. Congrats on finishing a game!
Cool narrative game. It reminded me of the old Goosebumps choose your own adventure books. I had to see all the endings!
Although it's a neat idea, honestly this is very hard to look at. Congrats on finishing a game though!
The art is nice! While I can appreciate your attempt to create a more complex rule set, there's a lot of rules thrown at the player right away.
Interesting idea! It is a bit difficult to see where you're going. Also, the acceleration on the camera movement makes the controls a bit frustrating to use.
The sounds were nice, but their could have been a bit more mechanically.
I wasn't sure what the game was expecting me to do. I did enjoy the surreal setting though.
I enjoyed your minimalist art style and smooth game play. Keep it up!
Good job! I was surprised by enemies quite a bit, but mostly due to random spawns behind me, at least that's how it felt.
Great stuff! A bit simple though.
There's the extra layer of remembering which button to press to get the color you want that can make this game frustrating. Nice job though!
Nice game! The only thing I'm going to mention is that collision wasn't precise enough in some parts (like the stairs).
It's bit bit awkward switching from thinking about the shape you need for a door (match) and the shape you need for an enemy (opposite). Also a bit unfair when an enemy is right behind a door and there's not enough time to react! Interesting idea though.
I appreciate the complexity you went for, but I could have used some better feedback for my actions. Maybe make it more clear how the units are interacting? I think a bit of animation could go a long way.
I'm not sure how to play. I selected my character and word, but died instantly every time. Am I doing something wrong?
Nicely done for your first entry!
I like the idea, but it feels rough trying to switch to the correct shape when there's multiple types of ships on the screen. At that point, there's no motivation to switch to either shape when killing either will net the same reward. Hopefully that makes sense?
Great style!
This game is so close to being great, it just needs a bit more direction in the gameplay. Personally I'd like a clearer goal. Great job on the graphics and animations.
@CMLSC Yeah this project was mainly for me to learn about some parts of Unity I haven't touched yet, and also to try out a new ECS framework I've been working on. The final product here isn't really a game, but I think it's such a cool idea I had to try it.
I actually had this idea on my own before finding the existing project. Also, there's no such thing as a new idea anyway, so don't limit yourself to only ideas that you think no one has though of before.
@NinjaNic Thanks! I'm not sure why my game is showing up on Feedback Friends as a Jam entry. I actually entered it into the compo. On a second look, everyone's game seems to be getting marked as Jam instead of Compo. Oh well!
@Linver Oh yeah, there's ton of things you can do with this concept, and waaay too much to fit in a weekend game jam! This was a fun experiment for me though.
@PetterBergmar Unfortunately I didn't have the time to get it to a state you could "play", really. Going in I knew this was too big of an idea for a weekend, but that's fine, it was a fun time!
I enjoyed the graphics and the controls were easy to use. I didn't find the gameplay too interesting or challenging though.
Very relaxing experience. I did get a random crash a while into the game, at a narrow point in the river.
Managed to kill a single skeleton, but couldn't get past the art style. I couldn't find my way through the level very well.
I liked the bomb explosions and controls.
So flashy, but the sounds were great. Love the theme as well.
First off, thank you for deploying a web build! Second, cool game! The jumping controls were a bit floaty for my taste.
Love the music!
I wasn't able to run it (blank grey screen on startup), but I did check out some of the art and music, which was pretty good!
Embedding java worked for me! It's likely that I don't have the most recent JRE installed then. I got crushed by a boulder!
The combat is enjoyable! It gets really hard really fast.
The body guard is fun to control and role play with! At one point, a trophy did spawn inside a wall that I couldn't' get.
Nice score! Yes, I would have liked to add a bit more visual indication of drinking. As it is right now, there's just a gulping sound effect. I think the small animation you suggested would work well. Thanks for playing!
It's a nice finished game! Although I couldn't figure out how to restart after I had lost.
Innovative idea with the splitting portals! It gets quite difficult.
It's a great concept that I hope you build on in the future! One thing, it is a bit time-consuming to have to go through each sector and select an action for every turn.
It's a tough game, but fun! It took me a bit to get used to the controls, but eventually I got it down. The weight didn't matter as much as I thought it would.
Great result, especially for your first LD! I couldn't quite figure out how to feed the bunnies.
Great game! You got the balance right between getting lots of mass and getting it to the goal. Thumbs up for the chill music too.
The scope of this is impressive. Huge map! The only things were the hit colliders were a bit frustrating, and I'm not sure if there's a reason to kill enemies or not. Cool game!
The controls are a bit awkward for sure. BUT, I like what you're going for here with the choices of what to sacrifice at the end of the levels. Good stuff!
I absolutely adore this entry. The tutorial is great and fits into the narrative. The level design is intuitive but challenging. This game is good fun, and it's really impressive that you pulled this off in the time given. The only issue I came across was when changing perspectives with 'p'. The perspective changed rapidly as I held down the 'p' button instead of just changing once for press. Well done overall!
This game is my favorite so far! I really like the way the map is revealed as you move around. Love the decisions you have to make on how to use your people. Well done and well executed!
Great stuff, and so dark! Well executed.
Great platforming controls! It took me a bit to realize I could double jump...
Smooth game play and great sound! It took me a second to figure out the strategy, but once I did it was fun!
Cool concept, although it took me awhile to figure out the mechanics behind creating a platform. The music's great. Well done!
You really nailed this concept. The overall polish is impressive for the time given. I wasn't able to play for long, but it was very interesting!
I'm always impressed when folks manage to fit in time to make cinematics. Great graphics and audio. The platforming mechanics were a bit wonky. I kept getting stuck on the sides of platforms, and the movement felt a bit slippery. Overall nice work!
The graphics and animations are really great! It is a bit awkward turning around to face the enemy before you can attack it. Good job!
Worked fine for me on Chrome. Good looking game! It was very hard to control all the tanks at the same time and make them do what you wanted, but that may be on purpose.
Loved the narration at the beginning, as well as the tech you used for the typing animation.
Great graphics and animations! The attacking did feel a bit slow/awkward. But, fantastic execution!
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare entry! Building controls feel a bit imprecise. It's tough to know where things will be built.
This is a cool concept for a resource management game. The enemies came at a bit too slow a pace in my opinion. Well done!
A decent clicker experience. I like the background image. Congrats on you first Ludum Dare entry!
Very fun and fantastic sound design! I couldn't figure out my goal though, and the pixel art was a bit hard to see when really zoomed out. Love the music!
@jpcard Good observation. The "Luminance" property as it is now requires using real-time point lights, which are very costly in Unity. I think if I did expand this idea, I'd have to use a different rendering pipeline or use the luminance property differently.
Loved the concept, and I thought the art and sound was well polished. The controls made things a bit less pleasant, since I'm not used to using WASD or arrows keys for isometric movement.
Although the gameplay felt like you were always fighting a losing battle, I really enjoyed the graphics and music! A very polished experience. Also, that alarm sound can go away please.
The environment was whimsical, and of course I enjoy the Halloween theme.
It took me awhile to realize what I had to do, but when I got it it was a pretty cool physics sim.
Solid game in mechanics, art, and audio. I always have trouble with WASD controls in isometric view.
I found myself humming along to the music! A simple fun game, very cool.
It took me a bit to understand how to play, but this concept seems very sound. Great polish on the art!
This is the most solid concept and implementation I've seen in this jam! It did take me a bit to figure out the controls, but after that I was invested.
This is the best animation work I've seen in this jam. Well done!
Love that you built such a large city to roam in. Nice animations on the player character as well.
I enjoyed the pure physics mayhem!
Out of curiosity, what tool did you use to create this? The amount of content in this game is really impressive. Great art style as well!
Solid concept! It did take me awhile to figure things out, and even then I failed pretty quickly.
Solid polish throughout. In the third level, a platform started falling before I actually stood on ti, making it very difficult to finish the level. Great job overall!
I enjoyed the pixel art and 2D shadows.
I really enjoyed the intro, and was impressed that you pulled it off within the scope of a game jam.
I can really see the potential in this idea. It gave me classic Fallout vibes in a very good way.
Great music and art! The abilities moving across the top of the screen were a bit confusing to me.
Kept me playing for a bit. That jump is very powerful!
I enjoyed the hand-drawn style.
Well done on the atmosphere. It felt a bit like a horror game.
Loves the art and music. The controls were a bit loose for my taste, and the hot boxes for the enemies and spike wheels were larger than I expected. Overall, a good time!
I was impressed by the player character's animations!
Make this into a full game! Love the rolling sounds effects as well.
The ASCII style is very well done. I did have trouble figuring out my goal.
I felt pretty bad when I failed :D Nice smooth animations and controls.
It was fun and controlled well. I wasn't sure how to win though. I delivered cannonballs as fast as I could, but maybe there was something I missed?
The controls were fun! It took awhile to navigate around the large obstacles, since you can't see all of the obstacle at once.
An all around great game! Out of all the entries I've played thus far, this entry felt the most like a complete experience.
Took me a second to figure out my goal, but after that I thought it was a creative concept!
Nice controls. The strategy was apparent but execution took accuracy.
This game's got style.
The scope of this game is impressive for the time limit. Well done for getting this much done!
I really like the idea of a city builder in multiple dimensions and directions besides just a flat surface. I'd love to see this expanded further.
This was a great prototype for what could become an even bigger scoped experience.
It's definitely tough!
Tough game! I enjoy the rogue-lite aspect.
Very cool ideas. I love how this game handles health by taking away abilities.
Cute and well put together! The last level was a well balanced difficulty, while the first two were way too easy.
A well rounded experience. I like the inspiration from Plate Up (I'm assuming)!
This is top notch! It's more challenging than I expected too! For me that's a good thing
A solid effort! I was able to find the nip, but was unable to avoid the pigs and find the party.
Genuinely a fun time! It definitely got hard pretty fast, but that's fine for a short jam game :) Gave me mini metro vibes.
There's some cool concepts here. Art and sound are top notch. Using "stamina" for each movement took some getting used to and felt very limiting.
It took a few moments to figure out the controls, but then it was easy to understand. I felt like a had to keep moving to be successful. Is there currently a win state? Or last as long as you can?
I had some trouble figuring out what to do and specifically why the flashlight wasn't illuminating the area around me.
Very simple, but the gameplay holds up!
The game feels very complete! I love that you had the time to not only make the mechanics fun and work well, but you've also included a narrative and great assets. Congrats!
I did have to reset that level but I got there in the end. Nice job!
The scanning is very impressive, especially for a game jam weekend. I was able to see the items under the water though, so the scanning wasn't strictly necessary. Regardless, great job!
Hard difficulty was definitely the way to go. I was able to place walls one at a time just to block the ball, then focus on building up production and barrel effects.
I love how dynamic this is. All the flowers seem to grow so naturally. Thanks for the game!
A unique idea, and the censored text makes each death that much more disturbing. Thanks for the game!
Controls for platforming were a bit floaty, and I got stuck under the big coin (couldn't move until it vanished). Regardless, I enjoyed myself!
Spooky. I'm with the others in that I assumed something was always following me! Sticking to the left wall always got be there and back.
Made it to level 7. Thanks for the game!
I had a tough time moving in the isometric space using just WASD, especially since the diagonals weren't 45 degrees, so I couldn't just hold down two directions to go on a diagonal. Other than that, well done!
You deserve to win for this entry. You surprised me when it was more than just the Mario reference! The audio was especially on point. Huge kudos to you!
I love the idea of a turn-based battler for non-combat situations! It honestly makes sense and works really well. Thanks for the game!
The sounds, art, and feel of most mechanics felt great! I had a really hard time pushing the cart around. Does it only move forward? If so how do you turn it?
Took me a bit to get used to it, but cool idea! Thanks for the game!
Nice job, and thank you for introducing me to PICO-8!
Not sure what I just played but I got a game over!
Super moody and spooky. I was on edge the whole time.
I was able to play just fine on windows. Thanks for the game!
Nice exploration. I found the ship a bit difficult to turn (it didn't seem to want to turn right away when pressing the button). Thanks for the game!
Got all the way to the end, which says something about how fun it was! Thanks for the game!
Really fun! Nice loop, nice sound and music, clear goal. Got 17,300!
Nice job! It would be nice to have a better view of "budget"
Well done on finishing a complete game loop. It was tough but fair. I couldn't tell what my health was?
Nicely done. Cool way to integrate sound into your design.
Love this one. It's a complete idea and it's well executed.
I dig the vibes
It was clear what my goal was and how to utilize all the buildings. Well done!
Same controls issue here, but I love the presentation!
This is actually really interesting. It's gamey in a way that makes sense for the narrative. well done!
Well done! Took me a sec to figure out I had to hurry before the signal faded out.
Giving high marks here. This has an awesome mood and narrative that most jam games fail to portray. Well done!
Moody and great use of voice acting and sound! It was terrifying.
Simple and satisfying.
I'm really into this!
I didn't understand what to do when the output deactivated. I enjoyed the presentation though.
Nice idea with the signal to open doors. I got stuck between the double doors after the moving platforms.
I'm always impressed when someone manages 3d graphics
Got a few survivors and was fun time
Got up to 61!
Not sure how to get away either. Do you need to position your marker over the top of the frequency hump?
This is legit! I very nice complete feeling experience. I only got to the third room (it was tough), but had a great time.
Finished it! Cool concept.
