jumping on the bandwagon, those buildings are sweet
Awesome game. I really enjoyed the concept, but when it got to the longer levels I got a bit frustrated when the red blocks happened to show up exactly everywhere - but I quit Super Meat Boy about halfway through, so take that with a grain of salt.
Couldn't get past the second level after a couple of tries, but I absolutely love the aesthetic and the pulse noise. Very clever idea, and mad props for building it in native OpenGL and GLUT.
@Cybearg:
All the sound effects were actually done by mouth - whistling or "doop" sounds filtered through audacity, but I definitely agree on the powerup noise.... not much of an audio guy :)
You're right about the endgame (and even the middle-game). I spent the last few hours flopping between making the game way too difficult and way too easy, and finding some way to make it more skill-based than it is (like @free_napalm says, all you really have to do is hold down the mouse button). Unfortunately I couldn't find any way to do that which was within the no-instruction theme I used. Definitely learning a lot from this though - thanks for the feedback!
Loved it! I'm pretty terrible - only got to the 9th or so level - but it's very clean, looks great, and plays great.
Excellent draw on resources from art. Excellent sound building. Excellent use of multiple windows. Excellent way of conveying information to the player. It even LOOKS like the minimalism art movement. This is awesome.
Good start. Magenta background hurts the brain though
I really would have loved to spend more time with this, but I don't think I was quick enough to get the harder puzzles. Went through it over a couple of times trying to get to one of the alternate paths but never succeeded. I'll definitely look back for an easier version!
Fun physics-based gameplay and *looking at other comments* potato mode?! damn, I've got to go back and look at that...
Haven't found the potatoes, but I did get to 12 or so marbles before quitting. Anyway, like I said, fun physics to play with that reminded me of pool. Shame there's no negative result to using too many marbles, and the skybox was a bit wonky.
Wasn't sure whether the "Game over" screen meant I lost or won. In any case, I got to the illumination! Maybe a few more cues as to the orientation of the camera would have helped.
Very original. Unfortunately once I hit the core I couldn't continue, and there's no lose screen. Good job!
My processor is absolutely terrible. Woo, easy game!
Very interesting concept executed well.
Interesting game. Would be fun with multiplayer!
Loved the aesthetic and the sprites. Shame there isn't more!
Pretty sure this is telling me to pick up a prostitute.
"FAMILY DOOR STREET
MUSIC BOOK SILVER FAMILY
FRIEND ESCORT SINGLE"
Very original idea! Fun to play with the shapes of the characters.
Great game! I loved that the balls collided with one another, it led to some really chaotic situations.
It's a shame when it pulls you out with more force than you can resist... fun game! Music was a bit repetitive, but that might just be my speakers.
Stay strong, spud-brother. I only wish I had the balls to do something similar in my game.
Very smooth and quick game. Every time I got cocky, I jumped into the atom because I thought it was moving slower. Nice game!
Extremely entertaining. I loved the audio, but I wish there was some way to know what pitch it was going to be on release (higher pitch for earlier release or something). Also, the box physics were confusing... but no matter! Cool make!
Quick, bright, and easy on the eyes and ears. Fun!
I... really suck at typing (it's that damn y key). Very innovative!
Also, I felt like the music was making fun of me.
This was an awesome game to play and relax with. I only wish there were more levels! (also the nodes-meeting noise was a bit jarring sometimes)
Seemed to be written in a noir-esque style. This was actually my first Twine game, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Shame it's incomplete!
Same as the above, couldn't get it to run. Looks neat though!
Words cannot express how much I hate the blue square. It's so cheeky!
I took a while to realize what I was actually supposed to do - catch the blue square in the maze that I'd revealed - but once I did it became a fun puzzle game. Couldn't understand what to do after it started following me, though - just wandered around for a couple of minutes and gave up.
Very atmospheric, and I loved the procedural sounds and maze generation!
First off, I should say I'm biased - I like this because of the similarity to my game! Unfortunately, I'm terrible at this. I only got up to 750 points... couldn't really see the projectiles all that well. Really like the designs and the gameplay though.
Having also gone through the process of procedural maze generation for this LD, I feel your pain.... Impressive what you ending with, considering how low-level the tools you used to build it!
Dragging around the subs was an interesting concept, but it felt extremely difficult to move and keep track of them all at once - I used the others as bait to protect the final one, then there was nothing I could do to prevent the onslaught of torpedoes. Cool idea!
Very cool. I liked the SCIENCE FACTS that popped up on the pause / upgrade screen. Glad to see Dart's making its way around the gamejam - did you use Box2D for physics, or implement your own collision handling?
I tried to do all the usual text-adventure hijinks but eventually realized it was more about resource gathering than anything else. Got tired of it and looked at the source to see if anything interesting happened... should have waited! Interesting concept. Definitely grabbed my attention.
Aww yeah, 293 saved. Got lucky - the original was in the corner.
I agree with the more clues - basically I just go on a rampage after I see the first dead body. Maybe more clothes variations on people would make it more interesting. This was a fresh idea in for this theme.
What a great game! I got to level 5.1 before I rammed one of the nukes (oops). - The music definitely grew on me - I am astounded you put in missile logic (I've done that a few times and it's always a little fiddly) - The variety of the enemies (and the way they showed up on the UI) was pretty awesome.
This game was so fun! It reminds me of teleglitch which is always a good thing. Once I got the hang of the spell timing I was hooked - got up to 81! (hopefully that's a decent score). The only thing that I don't like about this game was that you have to alt-f4 to exit - but other than that it rocks! Great job!
Also I'm convinced you had some sort of logic preventing enemies from spawning on the side of the map you were at - is that true???
I think I'm missing something here - either my game is bugged or I'm missing a key to jump higher - I've attached a gif below. Let me know what I'm doing wrong and I'll come back and rate it! Excited to play this.

@spacespytv no worries! Hope you can get it fixed, we're all in it together!
Wow, that was stressful! The manual was such a fun concept, really enjoyed reading through it. A few times I was convinced I did everything right but then went through step by step and figured it out. Great work! The controls (especially the crank) were super satisfying. I absolutely love the sounds. Really highly polished too! I found the cows were too hard to move unless I was right next to them when they spawned, so I focused on the chickens and pigs. Nice work! High score of.... 23. lol.
