Hi fellow parisian, your game works pretty well, i had a big laugh when it started!
same sorry
Nice game, nice music, i love the screen effect for the radioactivity.
I just spent HALF AN HOUR on this, trying to get a score higher than two!!! Loved it (first crush on 22 :)
seems to be some problems with your hosting/links..
nice game, love the graphics and objects movements!
Nice! i liked the caged-in escape. I also made a maze game and you actually created some of the suff i'd have liked.
ARROW KEYS TO MOVE
you have to take the knights from behind to kill them and try to follow their trail to escape. (There's actually an tiny ending)
nice one, love the theme :)
nice idea, it's really cool to send those mad rabbits on the heroes
You got a nice atmosphere there, the graphics are pretty and the mechanics neat. Though I really suck at this.. only 3rd level
Good job, it was certainly too short, but it's a compliment. I would have liked more. The minimal aspects work great
Nice, the mechanics feels pretty good, and the game is fluid. We get stuck too easily though, and it feels kinda frustrating when you land in the wrond position.
You could find a way to avoid this and your game would be much more addictive!
Nice game, visually attractive and with a title describing exactly what we experience. I really like the way the circles seem to be moving randomly until you see they're actually all aiming at you!
AAh I like the setup but it's too hard for me!
Nice! Simple and challenging
Ahah! Loved it, especially the end! A bit short but hey, why longer? Thks mtrc for the tip, I was stuck
Looks interesting, too bad I'm on Windows... I may try it with Perry solution if I take the time
The end is a bit sexual ain't it?? It's interesting that the player is growing and not the enemies but some situations happen to be just impossible due to the randomness of the spawning. Maybe it would be better with some kind of patterns?
Great and addictive, would be even better with sounds, the gameplay is pretty rythmic
This is really interesting and the visuals are excellent. As you said level 3 is pretty difficult even with the trick and the game crashed after the fourth, but I'm retrying it!
You got to reach the colored zones, I'll try to ease it a bit so that one could actually see the different phases of the game.
Thank you so much for your feedback!
I noticed that the framerate and therefore the difficulty of the game depends on your processor disponibility. If the game seems too slow for you, consider about closing other programs and try again.
I'll try to fix this basic problem for the post compo, so that anyone would have the same difficulty.
Yes you can! I actually barely make it to the green stage also, and I only know it lasts longer because of the dev test I did (with cheat codes), but well, maybe someone.. one day..
Oops yes and the sound must be desynchronised.. What's the trick, I heard I should multiply all the values in the code by the time elapsed?
Really nice atmosphere
You made my LD, it was really an experience! (and I almost gave up to the first game as I didn't understand the point, when a lucky move of the mouse sent me in a different space)
Wow, that's a good idea, your game gave me the creeps. The three first levels are safe and easy but after I got that feeling I was playing my life walking in the dark! Have you heard of the game collective One Life remains? they did that game : http://oneliferemains.com/game.php?game=pale , that exploits the lightning as a mechanics in a different manner
Your game has a really good atmosphere, with its music and the beautiful graphics, but it lacks a bit of gameplay to be much better. Nice work anyway
Pretty difficult and intense, really funny, nice game!
Sorry, your game keeps crashing at the first attempt. I'm on windows 7. I'd be glad to try again if you know the problem
Nice game for a first attempt! I also had trouble with the perspective from unity, I guess its pretty usual as a friend of mine had the same problem.
Hello your file seems no longer to be online, your game seems interesting you should upload it back!
Nice, I like the suggestion of space by the simple architecture and the text
Yeah, I agree with my fellow LD'ers (the last two), best so far! Well, just missing a bit of sound
I pretty like the in-game credits in the end.
I Agree, would be nice to see a gameplay video to get an idea, the screenshots are interesting
Nice visuals and mood, do you know the works of Pippin Barr? It made me think of it
Wow, I'm stuck on the third level and I don't know if it's normal or what? It's a shame, I really liked the game mechanic, and the brain twist it creates.
It's interesting how this plays with our memory and orientation. The (minimal) visuals work really well. It may just be missing something that could keep the motivation to retry again and again to the end. Maybe some music?
Interesting, fun and beautiful, good job! You could just smooth a bit the player movement and the gameplay would be perfect
Very interesting idea.
The game isn't really playable yet unless you already know about the Game Of Life mechanics (which you do obviously, your gameplay footage is quite impressive!)
Please go on with it I'd be glad to play a finished version.
(btw the sounds and visuals work great)
I don't know if I missed something or if something's wrong, but I'm stuck in the room with the violet cube.. (yes the third) Is it normal?
I like the vintage 3d and it's always exciting to defy the gravity. nicely done
The game is quite cool, I enjoyed playing it. It's just a shame the theme wasn't taken much into account..
Yeah, the scifi theme and the atmosphere are pretty interesting. Could be a good beginning for a longer game
Great. Best Ld26 game I played so far. I grasped the concept the second time though but it's part of the fun
Nice game, the mechanics are fun and intuitive, and the music makes it pretty immersive.
It's just a bit too punishing to retry from the beginning at the least error/ especially when you have to wait for the player to stop against a wall... Apart from that, well done!
It's pretty fun and very neat, but I might kinda suck, I keep being killed by the green 'snakes'! Well done, and good title too
Funny game! You should try parameters by NEKOGAMES if you don't already know it. Your game reaches the same kind of minimalistic flavor :)
Well done, beautiful graphics and funny set up, yet serious! I loved the maths sequence!
Thank you all for your feedback.
Well, nothing's really implemented yet and there's actually nothing else to do after activating the black thing... I spent too much time coding bricks that aren't even used there!
But I'll try to finish it
Amazing art and mood! Your game really stands out of a lot of what I've seen. Your simple yet profound visuals are really inspirationnal.
As you said it's seems at first much inspired by Super Hexagon, with the patterns and rotation, but the "lives" system you added makes it really different!
At first I thought that double "enemies" would just piss me off and forbid me for happiness (and winning), but then I saw the good guys : the difficulty rose as the possibility of succeeding!
Thank you for that!
I must admit, that my scores are'nt much high though.
It's was quite an unsuspected ending! Cute though.
I really enjoyed the game mechanics and the graphics, and how they work together.
I think you should add a proper music and sound effects to emphasize the descent aspect and the atmosphere of your game.
Nice work!
That is an pretty interesting way of navigating space, I'm so used to top down flat space control that I was quite surprised to crash on the first planet!
The difficulty of control offers challenge, but the experience is a bit repetitive though. (different planets, or patterns in their appearance would make it more captivating!)
Nice atmosphere (graphs, dialogues etc..), well done
Your game is really polished and works pretty well for a jam game made in 48h.
The controls are really pleasant and coherent to the gameplay.
Your graphics are pretty and suit the atmosphere and sounds.
I don't have much advice to tell : maybe there should have been more power ups in the right side, as I didn't feel the urge to go there while fighting the purple monsters.
So well done, this is a great entry!
Your game looks really great, the colors are well chosen and the transitions between worlds through portals offer diversity.
I've found that maybe the controls lacked a bit fluidity or movement. I think the overall experience could be much more captivating if there were a kind of rotation when the player moved or if he was evolving around the surface of the tunnel.
Well that's just an opinion, good entry anyway!
@villhest, you should have encountered the blending bug I was mentioning or maybe you where playing with a flat dimension.
@Jishenaz, thanks and congratz for you getting to the end !
Thank you for your feedback!
The pusher and attractor lack feedback that's right, but at some point when you get how they work, it becomes pretty easy to control the lights and thus the terrain.
Getting to the artefacts should then become quite straightforward. (Hope this doesn't spoil :)
@bytegrove :
What I call artefacts are the floating things in the air, you've to exploit the terrain mixing to be able to touch them.
If you get caught in the landscape, use your pusher to push the light away and the terrain will move with it.
@JoshuaBurr : This shouldn't have happened, It should be fixed now. Well done for you playing through !
@Nuclear Napalm :
What is it that you don't understand? Is it the controls? The setup? The description?
Please tell me, maybe you did experience a bug?
It's a shame it's on the short side cause the mechanics were quite mind bending (to get the inversions and rythm asked me some unusual neuronal connections :).
I had much fun playing this and would have played longer had it been possible ! (post compo?)
Pretty nice graphics and interesting infinite looping space, yet the gameplay is a bit repetitive as the best way to destroy the enemies turned out for me to be shooting constantly while circling around myself.
You've developed an interesting mechanics that is fun and challenging to play, and the minimalist aspect is pretty elegant.
It's just a shame the game doesn't offer much variation but you might have been out of time. Good entry anyway !
Okay, that was great, I didn't quite figure out that the black dots were my echoes at first ; this adds a lot to the experience (and relates to the theme).
The graphics and music/sounds create an intriguing atmosphere that evolves with the introduction of competitors and real time stalkers.
The increasing difficulty and the movement of enemies that is predicted but easy to forget make your game challenging and interesting. Congrats !
I'm quite amazed at what you've done in such a little time.
Your game is atmospheric and very immersive, to navigate between planets with beans is interesting, gives a feeling of liberty and much more, you did it pretty well : the controls and changes in gravity are fluid and intuitive.
This has a feel of the game Mirrormoon yet in completely different set up and atmosphere, but also involves sky observation to get to the gems. The sounds and dreamy feeling is lovely, congratulations!
The minimal graphics and your (great) sound create a interesting and soothing atmosphere, I think like the others that the experience is a bit too short for the player but I guess it's still a lot for 48h! Well done
The graphics of both worlds really match together and are much inspiring. Some of the puzzle/paltforms are really easy to bypass as one only have to walk in the normal world to avoid them. But I guess that with more time you would have created more challenging ones (post compo ???), the experience was immersive nonetheless.
At first I thought I wasn't gonna make it through any levels, but the challenge and the fast retry allowed me to practice and improve.
The mechanics are really innovative and challenging, and although this is in fact quite a plain prototype (not much clothing), it is captivating and interesting to play!
Your game have really great looks, the movement is fluid and the bullet time emphasizes this. I much like the fact that the game info (lives and power ups) is embedded in the game elements (cargo and shield). It's a shame I don't really see the connexion with the theme though (Am I mislead?)
I had a problem with lock cursor on Firefox (mouse input wouldn't add when the cursor was outside the canvas and clicking on the game didn't lock anything) but it finally worked under chrome.
Your graphics and the telescope controls where pretty and intriguing although nothing happened when I managed to find a green planet (What I guess meant that it was habitable?)
I think that the imprecise controls disserves your idea adding frustration to phases that would be great otherwise.
You could fine tune this and add a bit more levels to improve the player experience a lot. Your textureless graphics look beautiful that way, you shouldn't excuse yourself :)
@pierrec : that's strange, I don't know what happened but it seems to be in order now!
Thank you all for your feedback!
@alpha_rat : closing your eyes may be a way to stop being mesmerized by those LCD screens..
You got interesting results onscreen, but more than pure visual effect I like it when you use streetview-like cubemaps. It creates strange places.
@bigmangames thx, sorry for the static but I need it that way.
@Marcellus did you feel good?
@icefallgames I don't want to spoil but there's a point of view of the statue at which you'll only see the new time slice. From that point you can move on.
Thank you all for your feedback.
The game's got an ending, you have to find your way through the time slices and architectural memories to progress towards it.
The path really is forward, you'll come back to places you've already seen, but at different points of view.
Don't try to go backwards and instead look for points of interest. Those could be links between the memories.
I see this game as an exploration of places fixed in time, like three dimensional photographs or memories, overlapping each other as an architectural palimpsest.
Thank you for this game. The set up and the way the places unfold make it an intriguing and immersive experience.
I'm a bit frustrated being blocked at some point actually, I'd enjoy to see the conclusion -Reading the comments, there seems to be more- I found the figure also but couldn't talk to it, nor after revisiting the whole place...
If you got a hint I'd be glad to replay.
I can't shoot either
Lol, I pressed what I was asked. Was that all? Just curious, it seems it is.
