LD26 — Minimalism

hi! i can't get your game to run sorry. downloads for pyglet are down. you should include your dependencies with your release!

this was interesting! i can appreciate submitting something so notgame-y for the theme. i was pretty frustrated with it. the film itself seems like a composition of random footage with an essay likely not written for the game, but regardless of intent the dissonance involved in watching is kind of thought provoking. does this mean something? am i playing a game? am i watching an avant garde piece about the human condition? or am i just subject to the silliness of randomly composited media?

thank you for being different

Minimalist Game by lilzy 2013-04-30T02:14:00

clear winner in both contests

games about typing are difficult to make engaging
you've given it a good try here but unfortunately the game falls to the inherent monotony of the "type things fastly" mechanic

unfortunately most of your options for remedying the problem don't adhere to the theme. minimalism can be tough!

This is a great variation of color changing platforming. Your graphical style and level design are very good.

Tip for HTML5: make sure to override default actions when using keyboard input. WASD may not seem like it warrants dedicated input handling, but remember ctrl+w/s/d are all common browser hotkeys.

Thank you everyone!
howieV: i'm using the default mouse input provided by unity. if it's too high, your OS sensitivity may be too high and your drivers are compensating somehow. try setting your OS cursor speed down!
josefnpat: you started the game with your camera upside down. it happens sometimes. moving the mouse vertically can right yourself. i left the camera unconstrained to manage the issue. i could never figure out why it happened to some people.

JohnnySix: confusion is intended :D the interface is a puzzle to be solved and it's ok if you didn't want to

48 Hours? How about 48 seconds. by Recall 2013-04-30T21:01:00

print requires parenthetical syntax in python 3

clear winner otherwise

Very moody, great work on the vertex lighting

very evocative of a windows 95 era shareware roguelike. i miss those!

If I Can Just Mine 5000 Crystals From This Weird Snowman Planet They'll Let My Daughter Go Free by sigfig 2014-12-16T02:25:00

For anyone confused about an end goal:

You can win the game by mining 5000 crystals from this weird snowman planet.

There is a numerical score labeled "energy". If you cannot see it, there is probably a text rendering bug we haven't been able to reproduce yet.
