LD27 — 10 Seconds

Planet Monster by 01010111 2013-08-26T07:55:00

Wow this game is tough! Super cool though, I found myself replaying it a lot to try and figure out strategies. Didn't notice the UI to select between walls, towers etc. at first, oops! Loved the tunes as well. Great job :)

Graveyard Shift by Kortuga 2013-08-26T05:27:00

Those graphics are really top notch - I love the monster skins! The graveyard mood is great too.. Well done! :D

SliP by Sakuyan 2013-08-26T05:56:00

Awesome graphics! I especially love the 'possess' visual effect. Really like the possession mechanic as well. Great work!

Emily Escape! by avaki 2013-08-26T07:17:00

Gorgeous! Wish I could rate it 6 for graphics!

Changer by ix 2013-08-26T07:42:00

Haha, I love the effect when you annoy one of the people too much! Made me want to fail the game all over again.. The time pressure felt good, and I also really liked the overall aesthetic. Cool idea using geometry to do your text! :)

Narcoleptic Chicken Kid by Lianne Booton 2013-08-27T05:44:00

A. Awesome game name, B. Awesome music, C. Awesome art. D: Awesome awesomeness. I especially liked the artful juxtaposition of cherry blossom petals floating over a sea of blood and gore!

Narcoleptic Chicken Kid by Lianne Booton 2013-08-27T05:45:00

PS: I found the wolf nipple ring highly disturbing!

Test Chambers by 0xc0dec 2013-08-26T04:59:00

Loved the graphics and controls - the gliding feel is very pleasant!

Routine decisions (in 10 seconds) by Yozz 2013-08-26T07:37:00

Wow, I would never have thought of this concept. Somehow you managed to nicely capture that sense of competing thoughts and emotions fighting for focus. Great job! :)

Potato Lagoon by rezoner 2013-08-26T20:07:00

Oh great, now I'm going to have this themesong stuck in my head for the rest of the day! :D My interpretation of the lyrics: 'Yar gunny demon baby John, David made a gun show me'

YOGH@)!$Q#4$%7GDF: Destroyer of Keyboards! by greysphere 2013-08-26T06:05:00

Definitely lol-worthy! Nice work greysphere :)

Ten Seconds (Needed to Pass Legislation) by Dr_V 2013-08-26T07:31:00

I like your take on the theme, refreshing :D Who knew kittens were so important where matters of state are concerned?

Sixth of a Minute by Tork 2013-08-26T05:12:00

Well done - the enemy movement feels nice, and I like the huge time display in the middle :) I had a few issues with clicking outside the window and losing focus (the WSAD seemed to stop working - not sure if that was just me being dumb though.) Great job Tork.

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-26T00:16:00

Thanks guys :D

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-26T05:37:00

Haha, thanks Peculier! - If you think you're dizzy, I've been looking at this game for the last 48 hours! :D

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-26T05:38:00

Tork - agreed that the game is way too long, that was my 'genius' plan for squeezing out the most gameplay, haha. Yeah, multiplayer might help with that.. :)

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-26T06:11:00

Thanks guys! That sun is creeping me out too now that you mention it.. :)

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-26T20:22:00

Hah, you're much better than it than me then Chronus! I have trouble beating that damn rabbit most times... Cheers :D

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-26T22:42:00

I totally agree about the gameplay - I'm not a great game designer by any means. That's mostly why I decided to enter Ludum Dare, actually. Hoping to improve in the future! Thanks for the feedback Plancien. :D

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-27T22:53:00

Thanks dudsen :)

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-27T23:45:00

I did have some plans for a bunch of different powerups / powerdowns / obstacles along the way like jetpack, zimmer frame, beserk mode (charge straight through obstacles and smash em), that kinda thing. Don't know if it would have made the gameplay more fun, was hoping it would spice things up and maybe inject a bit of humor. In any case, I ran out of time (and willpower) to implement anything like that. Yeah, probably should have just reduced the lap count like you say. Cheers for the feedback! :D

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-08-30T08:25:00

Thanks Jupiter! :)

Badger Bolt! by SteveSalmond 2013-09-01T04:35:00

Thanks zentaco - yeah, a platformer would have been cool. Next time perhaps! :)

10 Seconds Before the World Ends by Lustdante 2013-08-26T05:33:00

Wow, this has to be my favorite interpretation of the theme so far. Really cool concept! Would love to see you guys develop this a bit further.

Don't let Them Hug you! by Jicken 2013-08-26T05:16:00

Great work Jicken, funny stuff :)

ROBO-TIC by Omar_q8 2013-08-26T05:51:00

Love the interpretation of the theme. I found the best strategy was simply to focus on the robot with the highest number above their head. Were there any cases where you would have to sacrifice one robot to get another? If not, that might be a cool addition.. :)

Space-Time Adventure by OldPeculier 2013-08-26T05:22:00

Really nice idea, took a minute or two to get my head around it but there was a nice 'aha' moment when I got it. :)

Summer Death Olympics by bufbot 2013-08-26T05:35:00

Pretty cool - I think I would need to play with a friend or two to get the full experience though. Nice one! :)

The Duellists by jay griffin 2013-08-26T07:24:00

Love all the different characters, and the shooting mechanic is fun :D

YorkTime by Steve | tacospice 2013-08-26T06:20:00

Very interesting concept. I found myself playing by putting down only one or two nodes at a time, then resetting the clock with space. Seems like there's not a big incentive (at least in the first level or two) to string together longer sequences, but I suppose you'd want to introduce that sort of thing to the player gently in any case. Sorry for the novel haha, really good work - got me thinking! :D

10 Seconds In 10 Seconds by Jishenaz 2013-08-26T05:44:00

Cool idea :) Took me a little while to adapt to the control scheme (was expecting the world to revolve around me rather than the other way around, haha), and I had some issues with 'overshoot' if that makes sense. Loved the concept though, great work!

Knight's Temper by madruse 2013-08-26T05:24:00

Loved the intro sequence! Was there a way to skip it on subsequent game attempts? Might be nice if not.. :)

Proletarian Ninja X by deepnight 2013-08-26T19:39:00

Wow, so this is how it's done... Amazing work. :D

Every Ten Seconds A Kitten Drowns by matthias_zarzecki 2013-08-26T05:06:00

Nice! I lol'ed at the cat names (Buttcat, ^^), and the time management gameplay style works really well. Good work :D

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Yojimbrawl! (2 Player Fighting Game) by Black Ships Fill the Sky 2014-05-06T12:02:00

You guys are total legends - that's the most impressive thing I've seen this jam for sure! Awesome work :)

The Sun And Moon by managore 2014-04-29T11:19:00

Wow, what a gem! I'd like to echo the sentiments of SojaBird and the others - you should totally produce a full release from this concept.

Dig Hard by petey123567 2014-05-06T12:07:00

Man, this is so addictive. I thought the jump key was in a weird spot, but who cares! Awesome job :)

SUNK by GeorgeBroussard 2014-05-02T10:44:00

Crikey, I still feel a bit like I'm choking. This game gets you right in the feels!

Wormhunter by Thorig 2014-05-01T05:29:00

Love the mood you've created here. Jealous of your pixel-pushing wizardry! :)

Infinite Island by Andrew Adams 2014-04-28T02:59:00

Awesome job! Love the concept, and great presentation too. Stirling work.

Cry Baby by Elforama 2014-04-28T02:41:00

I like the tears mechanic and how you've tied it into the theme - very original. :)

Bellow by RedPanda 2014-04-28T02:48:00

Love the graphic style - like 8-bit Limbo. Impressive work! :)

Berserker by SteveSalmond 2014-04-28T00:05:00

Wow, thanks a lot meek! :D Yeah, I did the art with my Wacom tablet. Wanted to make a ton more environment art, but simply ran out of time.

Berserker by SteveSalmond 2014-04-28T02:52:00

Thanks guys! :D

Berserker by SteveSalmond 2014-04-29T11:02:00

Haha copain, that's awesome! I would never have thought to play the game in co-op mode.

I didn't make the player invincible, because to me berserking is all about reckless disregard for personal safety. Perhaps invincibility would be better from a gameplay point of view though - I dunno. Thanks for the feedback!

Berserker by SteveSalmond 2014-05-01T11:50:00

Tis but a flesh wound! :D

Berserker by SteveSalmond 2014-05-01T23:25:00

Yeah it's a bit like dowsing but with more blood, haha :) Thanks for the kind words Empyrealhell, means a lot to me!

Berserker by SteveSalmond 2014-05-02T10:40:00

Thanks George. I just played Sunk and it's brilliant! I felt so sad when the guy's head went under for the last time :( Hits you right in the feels.

Berserker by SteveSalmond 2014-05-08T04:25:00

Thanks a lot guys! :)

Beneath the City by deepnight 2014-05-01T10:49:00

So impressed!

Atomicle - LostAutumn.net by AutumnGuy 2014-04-28T02:51:00

Awesome execution of a great concept. Well done!

Running Blind by Balloonsfor600 2014-04-28T02:35:00

Love the atmosphere you've created! Definitely getting a subterranean vibe from this one. Nice work :)

Beneath The Surface by adamwoolridge 2014-04-28T02:29:00

Nice concept! Presentation is also very appealing. I didn't immediately understand how breaking a shell worked - is it when you pass a certain percentage of broken segments? In any case, great work. :)

Kill or Kill by GreatBigJerk 2014-04-28T02:25:00

Very nice design for the title graphics - grabbed my eye on the game thumbnails page. Nice interpretation of the theme too. :)

FoxyTank by matthias_zarzecki 2014-04-28T02:32:00

Nice work! I found my self getting stuck on the terrain a bit, but otherwise the tank controls worked nicely. The tracks were a nice touch!

LD30 — Connected Worlds

The Lion's Song by LeafThief 2014-08-28T09:12:00

Well, I very much enjoyed that. Thank you for making it!

Fluid Perspectives by Jezzamon 2014-09-10T09:07:00

Wow, brilliant. Made me realize how much I have to learn about making games.. o.O Awesome work :)

Connecting LD30 to the Real World by Will Edwards 2014-08-28T09:42:00

Love it, well played Mr. Edwards :D

Our Worlds by davisan 2014-09-02T07:42:00

Nice! Really enjoyed this one. The mouse spell thing was neat, even though it made me switch from keyboard to mouse and back. Worth it :)

The Ghosts You Left Me by CptDustmite 2014-09-01T09:18:00

I wanted to see what was outside the door! :) As others have said, the intro was very cool. I would personally ditch the 'RMB to look around' thing in favour of mouselook being on by default, which is more common. You could still interact with objects by looking directly at them. Also, some mechanical hum or rumble in the background would have added a lot to the already impressive mood. Really great work for the 48 hours! Well done.

Heart Star by AdventureIslands 2014-08-28T08:48:00

What a great idea for a game! Really well done.

One Ship Two Ship Redshift Blueshift by 01010111 2014-08-30T06:41:00

Suuper styley :D Will have to recruit one of my work buddies to try out 2-player mode!

Chaos Heart by YMM 2014-09-10T09:35:00

Well, I don't know what to say really. That was just stunning... :) Everything about it was great. Amazing job guys.

1548 La Rue by cacciatc 2014-09-02T08:12:00

Great, I have a strange craving for ham now...

Connected To Hell by mutuware 2014-08-26T08:41:00

I got stuck on the bottom-left corner of the very first level, and had to seriously re-evaluate my dream of becoming a professional gamer. Also, those dogs at the end were complete assholes (spoiler alert!) The music layering thing was awesome :)

Shattered by ThatSamu 2014-08-26T08:22:00

Really enjoyed this - got a real feeling of satisfaction when the planets clicked together. Would have loved a big meaty sound when they clunked together :) Nice work dude!

deer hunter by rubna 2014-09-07T09:05:00

Wow, seriously amazing. Inspires me to try and learn how to do pixel art. The story and gameplay mechanics are spot on too. Super impressed!

Ordinary Weekdays of Tech Support of Parallel Worlds by SaintHeiser 2014-08-31T07:58:00

Neat game! Really fun gameplay, everything feels solid and well executed. Love the sound as you swap over to the other side. Great work :)

Tribe of the Giant by MerlijnVH 2014-08-31T07:48:00

Very pretty, especially the portal effect. Difficult to play! I found it hard to tell when I was sucking up the guys, and it wasn't super clear how to influence the outcome of the game. I think this could be an awesome fun game given a little more polish time. Post-compo version?

I Must See You by Split82 2014-08-30T08:53:00

Very nice indeed. I love how the puzzle board feels like a real tangible object. Great execution!

BOND by ConflictiveLabs 2014-08-29T10:33:00

Neat idea guys, hope you keep working on it.

Elemental by Aurel Bílý 2014-08-31T07:52:00

Pretty cool! I didn't realize at first that it was a typing-based game, and was clicking the words. What a dumbass :) After that though it was all gravy. Nice work!

Going Postal by OxyOxspring 2014-09-10T09:21:00

Really cool. I loved the writing, and only wished that the choices I was making had a bit more of an impact. Was fun trying to predict the responses of the charcters once you got to know them a bit. Awesome work guys! Oh and the graphics were superb btw :)

Doggy Dialler by Lianne Booton 2014-08-26T08:34:00

Badass.

On the edge of Earth: 5000 by Hypnohustla 2014-08-28T09:35:00

Awesome work. Particularly liked console C, and the zero-g sanitary evacuation system. Ooh and the thing with the gravity and the breathing!

War Faun by RetroEpic 2014-09-03T10:47:00

Top-notch graphics, and the music/sound was awesome too! Would be very interested to hear how you're handling the controller input stuff - is that an Asset Store plugin or something? Also, would love to hear a bit about the process you used to create your art assets - the characters are brilliant! :D

NECLiD by 0x0961h 2014-08-31T07:38:00

I think this game has been one of the more mentally challenging ones I've come across so far. Really cool! +10 for double bass pedal runs in the music.. xD

Binary System by rogueNoodle 2014-08-28T08:43:00

Awesome work dude :D

Light Year Wars by nicotuason 2014-08-25T07:56:00

Very addictive! Also loved the way the information was presented. Nice one :)

Yonumbo by Jhelle 2014-08-28T09:23:00

Well done! An instant classic, I think.

Connector by TeamEagle 2014-09-01T09:39:00

Found this one to be a lot of fun! Well done :)

GET Connected by sephyka 2014-09-14T05:25:00

What a neat gameplay mechanic! Left me wanting to see the next exciting installment.. Top-notch graphics, great sound, funny - awesome game all around. xD

juxtapose by zillix 2014-08-29T09:45:00

Masterful - this is why Ludum Dare is so great.

Flicker by PapaCheech 2014-08-31T08:05:00

What a neat idea for a game! I didn't get the 'echoes from the past' thing until after I died and read the comments - suitably embarrassed. Nice work PapaCheech :)

Accelerated-Life by Makio64 2014-09-03T10:42:00

Awesome! With a bit of ambient music and a sprinkling of audio effects it would have felt complete and polished. Amazing for just 14hrs - very well done.

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-08-26T11:11:00

Wow, thanks George! You're totally right about the beanstalk leaves, I wish I had made them noclip now... :)

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-08-28T20:57:00

Sorry about the lack of Invert Y, I'm one of those annoying people that assumes there's only one correct way to use a mouse for fps. My bad! I'll figure out how to do that with Unity's input manager next time around.

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-08-29T08:59:00

Thanks guys, it makes me really happy to hear you had fun playing it!

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-08-30T05:03:00

Thanks glbs :D I only wish I'd had enough time to get some other lifeforms and/or puzzles on the planets.

Also, thanks for putting me on to Mirrormoon - that looks like a really cool game!

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-09-04T21:07:00

Thanks Linus! You should totally give LD a try, it's a really cool feeling when the 48 or 72 hours wraps up and you have some crazy creation sitting there in front of you. Let me know if you do decide to have a go at the next one... :D

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-09-05T20:15:00

@Linus123xbb Sorry, I should have realized that of course you must be a LD participant already. Just played and rated your game - nice sprite work with the main dude! :)

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-09-07T19:49:00

Oh yeah, good call! I did notice the bug on my last playthrough, but was too frazzled to do much about it at the time and decided it was a feature.. ;) I'll see if I can fix it up using your suggested technique in the post-compo version. Cheers!

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-09-12T21:01:00

Thanks very much guys! Appreciate the feedback about the controls - I've tried to tweak them a bit in my post-compo version, but not sure how successful that was. Sorry for any nausea induced... :)

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-09-12T21:04:00

PS: klianc09, thanks for pointing out the narration volume - was wondering if it was too quiet. Think I made it that way because I was a bit embarrassed using my own voice.. ;)

John and the Arbitrary Gem Hunt by SteveSalmond 2014-09-13T21:45:00

Thanks guys! @ncannasse - I wish I had managed to fill the world up with more cool stuff for you.. ;) Was planning for more of a puzzle game, where you get something from one planet, take it to another planet and unlock something, and so on. Maybe a giant or two to run away from! Currently trying to get enough motivation to implement all that in a post-compo version. Cheers!

ORBII by Lars Faust 2014-08-25T07:50:00

Beautifully presented, and surprisingly tricky! I love the clean aesthetic. Was initially having trouble determining what the brown icon corresponded to on the planets (didn't pay close attention to the instructions, haha). I get it now, though.. :)

RED Thread by NickZangus 2014-09-07T09:59:00

I think the core gameplay hook here is my favourite of all the LD entries I've played (100+ now). Really well done Nick!

Linker by Stals 2014-09-03T10:21:00

That's a very cool gameplay hook. Really well executed too - great work guys!

Capsule by PaperBlurt 2014-08-25T10:58:00

I was also pulled in by the story and had to read the whole thing :) Some really great writing!

Connected Worlds Training Facility by sftrabbit 2014-08-26T08:28:00

What a great game idea! I just wanted a few more levels to play, really.. :)

Everything Burns by jordanbloemen 2014-09-02T08:21:00

That was surreal, and surprisingly fun! The color palette and visual style are pretty epic, as is the audio :D Particularly loved the fire effect.

Would really like to play a post-compo version that extends the gameplay. Some kind of spatial puzzling aspect where the fire slowly spreads from the ignition point perhaps? Anyways, great work.

Matters of Perspective by nesis 2014-08-29T09:29:00

That's a brilliant gameplay idea - seems so obvious in retrospect, but no-one managed to think of it until just now! Bravo, super impressed.

Notes from a Mad Mage by Razoric 2014-08-30T05:54:00

Hah that was really cool - nice one :D

Dagger Dash by Linus123xbb 2014-09-05T20:14:00

Nice work dude! I really like the main character's sprite work - the duck animation is especially nice. I had a few technical issues, but I can see that with a bit of polish this could be a really fun game. See you at the next LD! :D

Sinister by Joe Williamson 2014-08-27T11:08:00

What a gem! Would love to see more... post-compo version perhaps? :D

R.E.P.O.C.O.S.M.O.S. by Robber 2014-08-31T08:11:00

Sweet! I'm a sucker for anything involving planets and gravity, so you've got my vote :) I loved the whole 'build up velocity by running round the planet' thing. Nice work dude!

Dominions'n'dominoes by Benjamin 2014-09-01T08:30:00

Seems like an extremely well thought out design. Played the single player and had really enjoyed it; have to try multiplayer with some buds later!

Chipset-0 by deepnight 2014-08-27T10:42:00

Astounding how you always come up with a great gameplay mechanic and explore it to the limit. Coupled with perfect execution. Dude, you are my hero :)

** by ethankennerly 2014-08-31T08:15:00

Neat idea! I only wish it had a some nice ambient music and sound to go with it. Going to play the post compo version now.

** by ethankennerly 2014-08-31T08:17:00

Played the post-compo version. The sounds help a lot! It would be great if there was a piece of music playing along that the 'connection notes' fit into, so you're kinda playing music while you connect stars. Again, very nice concept - keep developing it!

Connecting Worlds by SojaBird 2014-08-31T07:42:00

Really neat! Will have to grab an office buddy to try it out properly :D

Warmageddon by schizokoa 2014-08-30T05:41:00

Sweet, will have to check this out at work next week with my office buds. Nice work! :D

Legacy of Lamas by Cell 2014-08-31T07:30:00

I have no idea what I just played, but I LIKE IT A LOT! (loud shouting)

Hello Worlds by dustyroom 2014-08-30T06:46:00

I loove the visual style and the idea is really cool too -well done guys!

InterGalactic Mailman by lucienpro 2014-08-30T05:37:00

I wish I had been able to make something this cool when I was 13. Great work Lucien! :)

Awe by Oddly Shaped Pixels 2014-09-01T08:12:00

Well, I was having a bit of a crappy day until now. Your game cheered me up! Thanks :D

HopSlide by managore 2014-09-01T09:06:00

I had a few of those classic 'aha' moments playing your entry - one of the best experiences in gaming, I think! Really well done :D

Salvation by 43iscoding 2014-08-25T10:38:00

This is neat! I got stuck on level 7 though. Will have to read the postmortem to find out the secret.. :)

Salvation by 43iscoding 2014-08-25T10:40:00

Haha I figured out the trick! Awesome :D

Planetary Bowling by Akz- 2014-08-27T10:49:00

Well I suck at bowling planets, it turns out, but it's helluva fun :D Nice work dude!

Connecting Worlds. by Damian Schloter 2014-09-10T09:28:00

I really enjoyed the flight mechanics - challenging but very fun! Nice work Damian.

Dreaming Knight: The Little Hero by spotco 2014-08-26T08:52:00

That was super fun!

Hop Hop Planet by SnoutUp 2014-08-29T10:31:00

Also came from the land of mashing buttons. Sweet game! :D

Oh, this is a really great idea! I couldn't resist adding a few entries here and there. Will have to check back in a week or two to see how the paths have evolved! Not bad for a sick person... ;)

String Theory by TowelKing 2014-08-26T09:06:00

Fun! I wanted a gas-meter to know how far I could push it (but I guess you figure that one out pretty quick by trial and error, haha). Clever name, too :)

Neat! What a cool genre combo.. :D Very well done.

Piggy 2014! What a brilliant creation. Congratulations guys!

Astroz by sputnik 2014-09-03T10:00:00

I love the push/pull mechanic - fun! You also managed to create a very immersive 'spacey' atmosphere. Really nice work.

Synchro Space by FeYbraNt 2014-08-25T10:31:00

Fun game dude! Bit of a brain bender too. I'm a sucker for shmups :)

NOODLE FEELING by Magdev 2014-09-02T07:12:00

I feel more noodley today than at any point in my prior existence! Proof of FSM?

Starpiercer by Schrodinger Games 2014-09-02T07:57:00

The best audio and most stylish graphics I've come across so far. The music is awesome! Loved how you tied the graphics and sound together during transitions (slow-mo, between levels etc.). Great work. :)

Worlds Collide by Rage Paint 2014-09-07T10:04:00

Neat! Refreshing to play a game where you're actually trying to HIT the asteroids! :) Really fun game, well done.

Familiaris by Greg Klein 2014-09-03T10:53:00

Nice! I felt distinctly canine for a little while there.. Odd sensation. :)

Stranded in Space by Hoothoot 2014-08-25T07:58:00

Sorry, I couldn't rate your game - for some reason it wasn't responding to the left click, and I couldn't get a game started.

TETHER by datacr4sh 2014-08-26T09:19:00

I found it quite tricky, but then again I'm terrible at anything involving platforms :) Loved the interpretation of the theme.

Carrier Wave by invader 2014-09-02T08:00:00

I had a bit of trouble with the keyboard controls on my browser (Chrome latest, Windows) - kept wanting to open the settings menu. Seemed like it might be a pretty fun game from what I was able to assess!

Carrier Wave by invader 2014-09-02T08:00:00

PS: I really liked the music :)

Waterfly Octus by gillenew 2014-09-02T07:16:00

Tasty tasty sprites - nice work!

Bus by gardenhead 2014-09-03T10:27:00

One of the more inventive interpretations of the theme I've seen so far. I cracked up laughing in the mammoth and knight scenes, and cursed when that damned plane shot me down for the second time. Great job :)

Colour Worlds Whatever by mokesmoe 2014-08-29T09:19:00

Very nice! I find these kind of puzzle games really impressive. How do you guys come up with such clever ideas?

1 * 5 by eyeofbri 2014-09-02T07:35:00

Very nice! Would have loved a bit of ambient music or sound to go along with the cool visuals. I found the transitions between worlds a little tricky - possibly you'd need to increase the radius of your trigger/collider sphere a bit. Loved the overall look and impression the environments.

Lucid by fisholith 2014-08-27T10:27:00

Graphics look awesome (that's why I downloaded the game to rate it) but the game froze up on me shortly after starting to play. Tried a few times with no luck. Shame - looks lovely!

Skewer World by tatmos 2014-09-03T10:57:00

Haha, crazy! I was struggling to figure out any tactics here, but the experience was oddly satisfying nonetheless.

Tangled Mini Worlds by Lars-Kristian 2014-09-14T05:31:00

Jeru's Tower by ncannasse 2014-09-14T05:16:00

DINO BOLT by GeorgeBroussard 2014-08-27T10:02:00

Really well executed - great control feel and super addictive. The double dinos and auto-centering are very nice touches. Great work George!

Aurum by Ralkarin 2014-08-27T10:57:00

Really neat idea! I'm a sucker for anything pertaining to planets, so you've got my vote. :) Was unable to host a game for some reason, and waited around for someone else to host - no luck. Definitely got a sense of the how the gameplay would work from the solo mode though, good idea oputting that in.

Nice work, I really enjoyed the dialog. We seem to have similar tastes in space backdrops! :)

A.R.B.F. by Zanzlanz 2015-05-02T12:14:00

Awesome music, made the game for me. The controls feel great too. One thing - I found I could convince the gun to fire simultaneously in all four directions by holding down all the arrow keys one by one. This made the game a little bit easy, but still super fun. :)

BED✰HOGG by 01010111 2015-04-24T09:23:00

Perfection!

Shield Maiden by bitslap 2015-04-23T09:11:00

Feels great with an XBox controller. Wish I could get that kind of control feel in my stuff! :) Awesome work.

Ice Princess by pinkmonkeyhead 2015-04-26T23:47:00

What an interesting game - did the story/mechanics occur to you after capturing the models, or the other way around? Very impressed with the look that you have managed to get with this technique. Congratulations!

Miroir du Mort by graebor 2015-04-24T10:06:00

So polished! The mirror mechanic is genius. I think the control scheme could use a little refinement, just so the player is able to control the reflection angle more precisely. Perhaps if you smoothed the input a little bit that would do the trick. Congratulations on an awesome game :)

Vacuum Hero by Evgiz 2015-04-21T09:12:00

Super cool dude! You and I have a pretty similar interpretation of the theme - great minds and all that, eh :) Loved the zoom-in effect when you start hoovering.

Ice Story ( koori monogatari 氷物語 ) by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2015-04-22T06:37:00

Super cute! You really nailed the retro vibe :) Found the control set up a little confusing at first, but acclimatised soon enough.

DAGDROM by Ditto 2015-04-26T08:07:00

Oh man, I loved this! A real pleasure to play, and one of the few I have had the patience to finish. Loved the level design. Congratulations on an awesome game.

MEDIUM by SaintHeiser 2015-05-08T09:21:00

Cool idea! I found the illusion a bit annoying to use - it tended to block my intended path more often than not. Might be worth experimenting with an illusion that slowly walks in the direction you release it? Just a random thought..

Democracy by renatopp 2015-04-25T20:03:00

Fun! I really enjoyed this game, well done. Surprisingly addictive.

Blink Gun by Split82 2015-04-21T08:45:00

Perfection! Particularly loved the level design, the graphics, and the 'juice' visual elements. Really nice work.

South by Verz 2015-05-02T11:52:00

Some amazing sprite work - those animal characters are great. I especially like the way the fox guy walks :) I found the mechanics a bit difficult to work with - kept on getting kinda stuck up in the watchtowers. Still enjoyed the game a lot - well done!

Compassion by masterboth 2015-04-21T08:54:00

Awesome! I had a little bit of trouble with the weapon cursor - it seemed a bit laggy when I was airborne for some reason. Perseverance prevailed in the end, however :) Loved the 'tutorial text'.

Oops, that comment was intended for a game in another tab - how embarrassing. ^^ Real review to follow shortly..

Compassion by masterboth 2015-04-21T09:06:00

Well, that didn't take too long, haha :) Neat take on the theme!

Hugline Miami by Figglewatts 2015-05-02T11:40:00

Really impressive execution, well done. I think it might have been even cooler if you had the hero giving the bad guys actual Free Hugs - you would have totally nailed the theme component! :)

Animancer by Nick Weihs 2015-05-02T11:22:00

That ending.. XD Really cool concept, and love the fact that you put in the boss battle at the end. Props!

Bacannon by donan 2015-04-20T05:44:00

Came for bacon, was not disappointed. Had a small issue where my gun seemed to get stuck in fire mode every so often. Otherwise the game played great! Nice one :)

Newt Scoot by CorgiCommander 2015-04-23T11:09:00

Fun! Controlled very nicely with the xbox controller, and the graphic style is great. Really dug the art style - the zombie run cycle and other animations look great! Nice work :)

Vac n Smash by SteveSalmond 2015-04-21T03:58:00

Awesome, thanks George :) I realized after submitting that the goal could have been made more obvious - probably should have put some tutorial text in the UI to that effect. Appreciate the feedback!

Vac n Smash by SteveSalmond 2015-04-21T10:18:00

Thanks Tommy! Detocroix, I agree with you about the robot part collection feeling a bit arbitrary at the moment. Perhaps I should have made a 'trash compactor' that turned robot parts into special bullets or armor pieces! :D Thanks for the feedback, it all helps.

I'm Only a Ninja! by herniewise 2015-04-26T08:52:00

Those drums are badass man, you're quite the stickman. Really sweet game, nicely polished. Very impressive!

Fathom by Joe Williamson 2015-04-22T06:19:00

Awesome work dude, top notch in all respects. One very minor observation - I found I could pretty much just spam click my way to victory on the tough bits. I wonder if you might consider putting in an energy bar or something like that for the post compo version? :D

Tungsten Orbital Destroyer by runvs 2015-04-22T07:45:00

Nice work guys, the music was indeed awesome, and that planet shader looks badass! The control felt pretty good too - very intuitive as Ian said. Perhaps a tiny bit of smoothing would have been good there, so you could make fine adjustments a little easier? Not sure. Anyways, was good fun, thanks :)

Natural Weapon by Manou 2015-04-21T09:55:00

Man, the mood you created here was pretty stunning - great job. I really like the slow downward scroll with parallax, haven't seen that presentation style much in games. Very neat.

Badass Inc by deepnight 2015-04-20T06:02:00

I always look forward to playing your entry :) Awesome as per usual, you really nailed the blade runner visual vibe. Props!

Snake Is Over by Langouste 2015-05-08T09:31:00

Love those environments in the screenshots - I only wish you had incorporated them into the game a bit more. The pong game was actually pretty great, but I was expecting some kind of adventure game going in. The in-game effects are awesome :)

Genemon by Pietro Ferrantelli 2015-04-25T19:45:00

Awesome fun. The creature designs are totally badass :D Don't really have any crits, enjoyed the game thoroughly. Oh, only that I thought I had to click on the pickups at first, took me a little while to realize that it was just mouse over. Congratulations on a kickass game!

DoubleNegative by Dickie 2015-04-21T09:37:00

Loved the control feel, that little ship is super zippy! Visual style was great too, the way you did limited visibility is very cool. Nice work!

Machine Kiss by Cell 2015-04-27T04:32:00

Very interesting game. A little cryptic at first, but that's part of the charm I think. The Lich card that summons 2/1 leeches seems a bit OP perhaps, especially in combination with some of the other buff cards :) http://i.imgur.com/2qqjg2A.jpg Not sure what my score will be, as the game is still running in the background..

Super Recoil Gun by cleitoneldorn 2015-04-21T09:31:00

Neat idea man! Level 3 seemed to be a pretty big jump up in difficulty, could have maybe had a level with just one of the beholder guns to get the player used to the idea. I also remember getting annoyed when my badass gun didn't blow those cannons up, haha. Awesome work :D

Mass-X by hexagore 2015-04-21T08:58:00

Awesome! I had a little bit of trouble with the weapon cursor - it seemed a bit laggy when I was airborne for some reason. Perseverance prevailed in the end, however :) Loved the 'tutorial text'.

A Knife Made Of Whispers by managore 2015-04-20T06:30:00

Man, you are great at level design. I love how economical everything is - feels like nothing in the game is without a purpose. Controls feel sweet with a controller, really intuitive. Top notch.

Mecha Cop 2875 by Tuism 2015-04-21T09:21:00

Pretty cool man! I picked the siege mech first cos it was the biggest one there, but got defeated by the first set of steps, haha. Assault mech was lotsa fun and combat felt cool - the screen shake and stuff was a nice touch. A few combat sfx would have added a ton to the mood, I think. Loved the music!

Mecha Cop 2875 by Tuism 2015-04-21T09:22:00

Oh by the way, I think you have your embed URL wrong - it starts downloading a unity3d file as soon as you open this page. Should probably link to an HTML wrapper instead.

Slam Jam Bakery by DragonXVI 2015-04-21T09:53:00

Awesome!! That jam gun was super fun, and the music was the best I have heard so far this jam. How did you do the jam particles if you don't mind me asking?

keyTD by foolmoron 2015-05-08T08:06:00

Great idea! Fun too. I think you could do some cool things with word combos and such if you were looking at continuing this game. Awesome job.

Space Bug by vicious_br 2015-05-02T11:33:00

Really cool idea. Would be neat to see you explore this game concept further - I can easily imagine a full game based on this.

Gravity Gunner by Perjoka 2015-04-22T09:52:00

Nice! Our games are a little bit similar in concept, although mine is only 2d. ;) Refreshing to see a UE4 game in the mix. I'm curious, how did you find it as a game jam engine?

fateOS by ThommazK 2015-05-02T12:07:00

That was an interesting experience. Loved the twist, and I thought the writing was great. Also, very well executed in all departments! Awesome job.

Flail Rider by jushii 2015-04-22T10:17:00

Super fun! Feels really good with a controller. I had some issues with the windows version crashing on me, not sure why.

Dr. U and the bottomless PIT by farwyler 2015-04-22T09:12:00

Super cool, I really enjoyed this - the music, sfx and graphics are all excellent, as is the control feel. The phone call was a very nice touch. :D

Mein Sheep by Detocroix 2015-04-22T10:05:00

Took me a little while to catch on to the idea of the game, but gave me a nice 'aha' moment when I understood what to do. It's pretty tough! Graphics are great - the heavy depth of field works awesome, and I really dig the sheep models :) Great work guys.

lens saga by retrophantom 2015-04-23T11:03:00

At first I couldn't tell where I was in the game window. Eventually figured out I was the little camera thing in the bottom left. Once that 'clicked' (badoom-pish) it all started to make sense :) I didn't read the instructions properly though, so I didn't get what the 1/2/3 options were doing and just kinda spammed them! I think a little bit of in-game teaching might have helped a ton for lazy players such as myself. It's always tough though, with so few hours in the jam! I really liked the concept here, would like to see it developed further.

The Amazing Fart-Man by fixedgerald 2015-04-22T10:12:00

Tipping Point by lonestar 2015-04-23T11:29:00

Megane Fever by Park 2015-04-21T10:00:00

The characters and animations were amazing! The way the dudes dive at you with their love letters is hilarious :D Great work.

Evil Cupido: Haters gonna hate by Pixel Heart 2015-04-24T09:51:00

Loved the feeling of the bow, very controllable. Had an issue with the 'make animals hate each other' screen - the right animal was invisible for some reason. Managed to get past it though :)

X-11 "Gust Gunner" by cowboycolor 2015-05-08T23:38:00

Love everything about it, awesome job :)

Viking Insult Fight by ARubino 2015-04-25T00:09:00

Started off kinda frustrating, but became fun once I mastered a few of the insults! Some of the lines seem a bit random and not very 'insulting' to me, but I guess you had to come up with a ton of them very quickly. Wasn't too sure if there was a progression from one Viking to the next, so I just randomly picked them. Great work for your first Ludum Dare, congratulations :)

PS: Was that some stock music, or your own stuff? If the latter, very impressed!

Ex-Sword-Stential Crisis by Team Ex-Sword-Stential 2015-05-02T11:12:00

Super interesting game - I would never have thought of that idea in a million years :) Very impressed with the polish level in all departments. Great work guys.

TypeFighter by Sheepolution 2015-04-26T07:41:00

So hard! And yet super fun. Lots of cool touches - I especially liked the glasses-as-health-bar thing. Awesome job :)

ScarKrow by Carduus 2015-04-22T09:15:00

Wow, those attack effects are badass! Would you mind posting up a quick tutorial on how you make that kind of stuff? My twitter is @stevesalmond if you decide to do so.. :) Really sweet game, congratulations.

Rhythm Gunner by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2015-04-24T10:00:00

What a sweet idea - that music is badass! I found the pickup sounds really messed with my weapon timing, but I guess that would just come down to practice. Awesome job :)

Kitten by GFM 2015-04-24T23:55:00

Cool idea! I found jumping a little bit tricky with the XBox controller - having jump on right shoulder and fire as right trigger with aim as right stick is quite a lot for the right hand to deal with! Not sure how else you would map it, but perhaps if one of the functions went to left shoulder or trigger that would help.. Found the game very enjoyable, regardless :) Nice work.

I Saw Her and She Ran Away by Tommyno222 2015-04-24T10:21:00

Definitely an interesting setting for a game. The story left me wanting to play more, which is a good sign.. :) Nice work!

Quiet Riot by GeorgeBroussard 2015-04-21T08:33:00

Awesome work dude! The arcade screen presentation is neato, would love to see how you achieved that. :) Also the perfect amount of gameplay for LD I think - not too short, but also not so long that people with short attention spans tune out. Very impressed.

Blackbird by aeveis 2015-05-02T11:46:00

Love the visual style, and the controls feel very snappy. Controlling the bird correctly is quite challenging, but I think that's part of the charm of the game. Great work!

Full Metal Democracy by deepnight 2015-12-21T19:55:00

Rogue Bladers: Cradle of disaster by Deconstructeam 2015-12-15T08:36:00

UPSQUID by 01010111 2015-12-18T07:44:00

Loved it! Really enjoyed the control scheme, felt very novel and yet instantly usable. Great job!

Rocks, maps, scissors by Split82 2015-12-15T23:48:00

Awesome job - super polished with the visuals and animations. Really enjoyed the gameplay too!

Harvest by rxi 2015-12-21T20:35:00

Man, I am so depressed now.. Very cool game - found the grab/use mechanic a bit tricky at first (kinda assumed for some reason that you just walked over what you wanted to use then clicked RMB, as opposed to mousing over the object). I didn't survive for long! :)

Chaintanks by ProjectX593 2015-12-19T10:36:00

Awesome game! Super addictive too, I played way longer than I should have.. :)

Colony 3028 by klianc09 2015-12-21T20:06:00

Pretty tough! I really enjoyed it though, and developed a healthy dislike of ducks along the way :)

treadmill by rogueNoodle 2015-12-21T19:42:00

Awesome! Love the way the music keeps matching on regardless of the main gameplay - nice touch.

Growth Industries by SteveSalmond 2015-12-21T23:11:00

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Sounds like we needed to make it a bit clearer how the color matching works, and Escape to quit the game would have been a good thing, duh :) All good stuff, cheers.

Longbeard by Joe Williamson 2015-12-15T08:43:00

Really cool! I thought the beard puzzling was interesting and original, and it worked very well mechanically (which surprised me). Needless to say the art is amazing, and I looooved the little intro sequence. Ok that might be enough praise. Oh, just one more thing - the music was great too, really set up the atmosphere. Ok, that's all :)

Let's Play Simulator 2016 by zulman 2015-12-18T09:44:00

Pretty awesome take on the theme guys! Very well executed too. Bonus points for Lord Cthulhu!

Reap by managore 2015-12-18T09:21:00

Wow, just played your game for an hour straight. Bravo! Amazing job.

Sumou no Kurieta by fafastudio 2015-12-21T20:11:00

Haha I loooved the puke death animation :D Took me a little while to realize that each sumo had different dislikes, bit of a facepalm when I finally clicked.

SpaceHex by Sheepolution 2015-12-21T20:26:00

Tricky! Was a lot of fun though :) I think a bit more feedback when placing the buildings would be helpful for the learning curve - e.g. you can't place here because there's not enough energy, vs. you can't afford this hex. Gonna go play a bit more now.. :)

Snow World by Elisée and friends 2015-12-21T20:44:00

Very nice! Really cool control scheme, so simple but it works great. Awesome job guys.

FRUITWOLF by Claw 2015-12-15T09:02:00

LD35 — Shapeshift

Shape Shifters Inc by roxflame 2016-04-30T22:36:00

Really cute sounds, particularly the muzak track :) Debt is no joke haha!

Morphling by SecondDimension 2016-04-30T22:10:00

Loved the animations, brilliant stuff - particularly the transition from run to jump. I was too uncoordinated to beat it but I sure wanted to.. :) I actually really liked the way the tutorial was heavily front-loaded, I think that was necessary with all the shapeshifting mechanics you had in there.

Cyan by rxi 2016-04-23T06:18:00

Awesome job man, I actually loved the control scheme. Thanks for putting up the timelapse, I really enjoyed watching that too after playing. Props!

Flesh Mess by radmars 2016-04-30T03:37:00

Badassssss!!! So great how the music amps up as you reach each new form, I found my self concentrating really hard not to lose the badass guitar riff haha. I kinda liked that it didn't have checkpoints, although I lost on the final boss and couldn't be bothered going all the way back in order to defeat him. The blood splats were awesome :D

SHOOTING GAME THING by BPO_Jeff 2016-04-30T04:43:00

Loved all the juicy touches, and gameplay was rock-solid. Played it with a controller and it feels great! Only feedback I can think of is that I wanted the transformation time to be a touch quicker, but that's more a function of me being bad I think. ^^ Awesome job man!

Devil's Hand by Kuupu 2016-04-30T22:25:00

Took me right back to the days of wolf, doom and system shock - fond memories :) I couldn't finish - seemed like one of the doors failed to open (there were baddies shooting me from the other side of it). Would be interested to see how you did the level layout - just dropping down a bunch of prefabs, or some tool? Awesome job :D

Splitter Critters by GertJohnny 2016-04-30T00:01:00

Utterly brilliant idea :) Also, extremely well implemented.

Altered Bunny by SteveSalmond 2016-04-20T03:30:00

lkr: thanks for spotting LD36 on the title screen - it was a typo, you were right! Also, the 'falling out of the level' issue should have been mostly resolved with my final submission (hope so!)

Hyoga-3D: Thanks, I added some alternate bindings for use/attack - hope that helps.

Thanks all for the kind words :)

Altered Bunny by SteveSalmond 2016-04-22T22:58:00

Thanks guys!

FistBump: I was going to add a difficulty mode selector but ran out of time - sorry for making it too easy :) Really appreciate the feedback.

Altered Bunny by SteveSalmond 2016-04-24T22:36:00

Thanks! Yeah, you're right, it should have pulled out and/or panned over to the next door more. Cheers for the feedback :)

Woot! xD

Limber by Wefiends 2016-04-30T03:28:00

That music was so awesomely peppy! I was just boppin' along to the beat :) Loved the whole thing, especially the way the guy does his little boogie in between shapes, and those tutorial characters were gold. Really well done!

Wrestling the RPG by Kate Kligman 2016-04-23T05:25:00

Cool! I used to play Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson's pick-a-path RPG books when I was a kid - your game made me quite nostalgic :)

Cat-amorphasis by UltraRat 2016-04-23T05:34:00

Clocked it, yay. I feel like some subtle indicator about which limb(s) need tweaking would have been very helpful, but perhaps not necessary - the target picture pretty much did the trick.

Sub Dragon by deepnight 2016-04-22T23:13:00

Genius! So impressed with your ability to come up with a innovative mechanic every time - props.

SLAHP by FistBumpGames 2016-04-22T04:00:00

Really sweet graphics, love the parallax effect - definitely agree with the others' suggestion though of adding a simple checkpoint system in there.

Wood for the Trees by ratking 2016-04-23T06:04:00

I didn't read the starting instructions carefully and was initially confused. I wandered down an endless road for a few minutes, gave up, then realized my mistake when returning to this page. After that it was awesome! I love the way the wrapping rooms collapse the search space but still give you the sense you're in a large environment. Very cool experiment, great job.

CYGLiDE by ocarson 2016-04-23T06:32:00

Love the animation on the 'wings' - super cool :) Started to get a strong sensation of flying as I got the knack of the controls. Awesome! I really wanted some atmospheric noises in there though (rushing wind etc) to complete the illusion - completely understand though, there just ain't enough hours for all that stuff :)

buki buki! by cowboycolor 2016-04-23T06:25:00

Brilliant - the most fun game I've played so far for sure! Love the sensation of 'shooting' yourself at the monsters, very kinetic, very cool. I did find I would often fire in a direction I didn't intend though (was using XBox controller) - probably my own lack of coordination showing though :) Great job team.

A Slimy Fellow by Ourson 2016-04-30T22:50:00

Awesome! Some very nice 'a-ha' moments in there. I found the train run sequence a bit tricky but it was worth persevering to get through it. ;) Very interesting mechanic, well done!

The Skinmancer by derr 2016-04-30T03:12:00

Wow, that was great! The combat was cool, made you consider your actions quite carefully. I liked how you felt at a disadvantage, and that avoiding a fight was sometimes a more sensible option. Loved the bit where you could suddenly access the little tunnels as a ferret ;)

The Maitre D by SeaDads 2016-04-30T00:55:00

Simply brilliant - so impressed. The character sound effects slayed me :D

Shifty Thing by Wahooney 2016-04-23T07:10:00

Impressed with the level of polish. Love the meaty sensation when you crater - takes the sting out of failure :D Really fun too, great job.

Miss Turner's Magical Pet Swap Shop by Rose 2016-04-23T06:39:00

Really nicely executed, elegant and funny idea. I ran into some issues where my idea of a fox didn't match up with the pet owner - they obviously had no idea what a fox looks like! ;)

Fluffy Cookies by PavelPooh 2016-04-23T07:18:00

Neat idea - I loved the artwork, top marks there. I tried dragging ingredients onto the preparation plate and was surprised when that didn't work. Eventually figured it out though. I didn't quite understand the two characters commenting on what came out of the oven (have since re-read the game's description and now I get it). The accompanying sound really helped to create an 'alchemist shop' ambience. Great job!

Pluto's Tears by kestrelgames 2016-04-23T06:51:00

Wow, didn't expect such an emotional rollercoaster haha! Great job :) The dialogue snippets were great btw.
