LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Please Come Back by PapyPilgrim 2014-04-28T22:08:00

Great game idea, I held on for as long as I could hoping that the ship would turn back, but I've never been a strong scroller.

Splodey Boats by Sodaware 2014-04-28T22:28:00

great art style for the game. I wish the game play was a bit quicker, but that just might be my personal preference.

Cull Shot by halogenica 2014-04-28T08:44:00

Fantastic game and great use of the theme.

Alone with them... by rianoto 2014-04-28T22:16:00

I like the idea of a text survival game and having to make decisions that effect the group. It was, however, a bit unclear at how my actions were affecting the situation.

Go Below The Ground by DevWouter 2014-04-28T22:25:00

Solid game and a lot of content in it. nice job.

WOOD BIRD EGG DIG by voxel 2014-04-28T08:42:00

Very clean graphic style and the woodpecker pecking animation is fantastic. I enjoyed weaving my way through the level and having to plan ahead.

FedIt! by zedutchgandalf 2014-04-28T22:32:00

Hard game, I liked the concept of grouping food together and feeding it to a monster. Might have been easier to play with larger bullets and enemies.

Fathoms by dook 2014-04-28T23:15:00

nice game, it's very similar to the one i made for this jam. If your interested, my game is 'It came from below'.

Wriggle Worm by gikdew 2014-04-28T22:03:00

a simple game executed well, nice job.

Fish Legacy: Beneath The Surface by Xeke_Death 2014-04-28T08:14:00

I was lawling at the intro, very well done with the voice acting. The gameplay was alright as well, it's fun dodging enemies and grabbing points and such. It would have been nice starting out with tentacles or someway to fight enemies.

Crazy Drill by calimeraw 2014-04-30T21:38:00

had fun playing it, only wish there was more diversity and required a bit more thinking, but for one day, amazing.

Soul Dive by John Drury 2014-04-28T07:53:00

Very pleasing audios and visuals. Its great how much atmosphere for a game you were able to creating using such simple particle effects. I wish there was a little more something in the gameplay, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed the game. More particles please.

Splitted by CodeHat 2014-04-28T07:48:00

Very cool game, I enjoyed playing it. I liked the puzzly elements and the overall graphical look of the game.

DIVE by Lars Faust 2014-04-28T08:30:00

Fantastic water effects and visuals all around. It took me a moment to realize I had to be moving to turn but once I got that I enjoyed running from the mean fish and grabbing the other things. The power of the gun was tweaked very well which made the game less about blasting and more about dodging.

Blackwald Forest by RevelBase 2014-04-30T21:48:00

Incredibly polished game for a jam, well done. I enjoyed the mechanic of slaughtering the invading knights as well. And i really liked the video intro.

Grow by weazen 2014-04-28T22:46:00

I liked the art and atmosphere in the game, wish there was a bit more of that to go along with the simple mechanic.

Gravedigger by Kulomin 2014-04-28T07:06:00

It feels great getting a hoard of zombies following you and I like the choice of ranged or melee zombies. Dodging enemies and having my guys block/attack while I dive around grabbing purple things was fun.

Unknown by Pietro Ferrantelli 2014-04-28T22:12:00

Fantastic progression idea with the small worms, I really enjoyed the whole experience.

Sopora by Crabman 2014-04-28T22:37:00

I didn't make it out, perhaps i shouldn't have panicked so much, even thought, at the time it seemed like a good move.

Water Beneath Mars by Crawler Studios 2014-04-28T22:23:00

i liked the fisheye camera. The music and ambiance of the drew me in and made it enjoyable looking for those water crystals.

Search Beneath the Surface by halfmage 2014-04-28T08:06:00

nice game, I liked the tightness of the platforming mechanics and gun shooting. Going deeper and deeper trying to find a module while my air was running out was giving me sonic water level flashbacks.

BTS-1337 by icereci 2014-04-28T23:12:00

I like the limited field of vision, makes you progress thoughtfully through the level.

Her Majesty's Royal Nautical Expedition by diemer 2014-04-28T07:44:00

I couldn't get past the octopus!!! I liked the tentacle and the britishness.

The Creature Beneath by Otrora Games 2014-04-30T21:42:00

solid game and the intro really helped draw me into the game. I think there needs to be more direction when giving the player puzzles to do.

Dr. Beat by eldog 2014-04-28T07:41:00

I love the sound of shooing and how it fluctuates, I was running around doing nothing for awhile doing nothing but enjoying my beats.

The game was also solid, with a good difficulty for what it was. The end spot took me many attempts but I was able to slowly carve my way through the level.

HAPPY FRIEND by Loon Of Nature 2014-04-30T21:32:00

really creepy model, i like the brain jiggling.

Minor Incidents by dartsdev 2014-04-28T07:33:00

I thought it was going to take forever to get to 10000 to buy the radar upgrade, but then out of nowhere i struct gold and was on my way to being the best dang miner on this side of the Mississippi. I enjoyed the progression and the zooming out as a power-up.

Having to wait a long time and managing heat was an interesting mechanic that required me to make some choices. Solid game, gg good job.

Mindwash by Karmalis 2014-04-28T08:02:00

A solid run around and shoot stuff game. Starting in the only lite area of the level and eventually getting forced out by monsters was a fun experience. Congrats on finishing your first game and I dont think there will be too many games like this in the ludum dare, the most popular game type will probably be drilling for treasure.

Revolve by Shire 2014-04-28T08:36:00

Really great game and worth the effort to get it running on device. Very simple spin mechanic that has a surprising amount of depth to it. I managed to get a high score of 182.

Blunderer by Jacob Peltola 2014-04-28T07:19:00

great visuals, really was making my head spin.

Upstream by Viza 2014-04-28T23:35:00

Great puzzles and I love the simple graphics

Box Simulator by terraco 2014-04-28T23:05:00

box box box box box

What's beneath the surface ? by wolframatwater 2014-04-28T08:59:00

and make it double

Alien Lobotomy by Soup With Bits 2014-04-28T23:00:00

nice puzzle game, a bit more tutorial would have helped, but interesting once you get the hang of it.

Debris by sudojess 2014-04-30T21:34:00

Nice, about time someone made Gravity the game.

Tremors by Gregory 2014-04-28T09:06:00

A cool idea and would have been awesome to see it with more content. The visuals and music throw me into a slaughtering type trance. Too bad you couldn't take on the prison-industrial complex, it would be very cool to see some games on that issue, but that's a tough cookie to crack in 48 hours.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Nebula by franklyn 2014-08-25T04:10:00

An addictive upgrade system mixed with solid shmup gameplay. I enjoyed the game and the backstory is intriguing for how little there is.

Cargo Corp. by TinyHat 2014-08-26T18:54:00

I had a lot of fun playing the game. The controls were pretty sensitive, but I actually like that in games.

Solar Supply by Josh Riley 2014-08-25T03:58:00

Amazing game! I love the micro management and resource system. The level progression made it easy to get into the game and start enjoying the click fest.

Connected To Hell by mutuware 2014-08-25T17:20:00

Those devil dogs are creepy.

Neon Highway by francoisvn 2014-08-25T02:48:00

I really enjoyed the visuals of the game, great job.

Data-Man by Hyoga-3D 2014-08-28T17:03:00

fantastic art style, I really like the level select screen

Universe of Color by Elforama 2014-08-25T03:21:00

I built my ludum dare game using unity 4.6 beta and, im pretty sure, have successfully exported a web player build.

Terrorist Hunter 2D by nilstastic 2014-08-28T20:38:00

Even though the graphics were very simple, they looked crisp and I liked them. I like how you had to be careful with your shots or else you'd damage civilians.

Connect by RedPanda 2014-08-25T17:43:00

I wish you had kept making the game on the second day, I think the idea has potential to be a lot of fun. Some more visualization on what your resources did and how much of them you had would would help clarify what is happening in the game. But connecting my planets together and seeing my production go up was fun.

Her by GreenyUk 2014-08-25T03:48:00

Her is a movie.

...

I liked this.

Notes from a Mad Mage by Razoric 2014-09-04T01:06:00

good game, I wish there was a way to progress a bit faster instead of waiting for myself to do things faster

Gravity Flipper by Dino 2014-08-25T18:08:00

great execution on your idea, the simple visuals made the gameplay very clear.

LD30 - Connected Worlds by wobbleboxx 2014-08-28T17:01:00

solid game, the camera perspective is very cool. It would be nice to have more visual feedback on the actions you take, like text that tells you how many points you just gained, or what your current multiplayer just changed to.

Enduring Atlas by dickpoelen 2014-08-26T18:57:00

I love the feel of the game and the way you interpreted the theme.

Interstice by LukeZaz 2014-08-29T02:23:00

a bit hard to get oriented at first, but overall pretty fun.

Merge by vicious_br 2014-08-25T03:35:00

I really liked it and played it all the way to the end. If I had a suggestion, I'd really wish it was more clear where you can move and where you can't. Too hard to tell the difference.

Grave Gravity by Jaenis 2014-08-26T19:07:00

had a fun time, and I really liked that the gravity of planets changed whenever they got hit, it made each shot interesting

Revo by raddevon 2014-08-27T22:47:00

The UI is very clean and it helped with getting into the story.

Planetshipper by ronaldm 2014-08-25T17:26:00

congrats on completing your first ludum dare. I like the idea of space grappling hooks, it would be cool if you used the planets you grab as a flail to fend off enemies.

God Save the Peasant by Elde 2014-08-25T04:23:00

The connecting of the socio-economic worlds is a great take on the theme. I enjoyed the game, but i wish the resources you are managing were a bit more clear.

Starpiercer by Schrodinger Games 2014-08-30T17:27:00

Great graphics, I wish there was a bit more gameplay behind them

schizm by KittyMac 2014-08-25T18:05:00

fantastic game and cool concept. I like the recycling of parts after battles, I wish there was a sense of ownership of space, so that you could control the debris instead of having to out click the enemy.

Save the worlds by godfire4 2014-08-25T17:59:00

Great idea with lots of potential, i'd love to see more.

Digbot Dash by Christian Scandariato 2014-08-26T19:01:00

Digbot and his full range of robot emotions really brought this game to life

orbit by JRPGKING 2014-08-25T03:10:00

for a game without any goals or objectives, I had a "blast" playing it. The visuals and audios worked great together and the game was enjoyable to play.

Star Tycoons by MechanicMoon 2014-08-30T17:36:00

well polished game. I bit tricky to get into and I wish there was a little more clarity on what my ships were doing, but I enjoyed the game overall.

Supreme Tower Racing by Rex Peppers 2014-08-25T03:16:00

A solid platforming game and the level design was gruelingly tough. I'd love to see a mechanic with the order of which you connect towers.

Passeur by khahem 2014-08-25T03:27:00

I'm digging the visuals of this game, I wish there was more too it though. Did you have a grand plan for the game and run out of time? It would be nice if you mentioned that in your notes.

Northlonde by Martins 2014-08-25T17:57:00

great visuals and fun gameplay. It took me a second to realize how things worked, but it was great to see the build up of my factory empire after i got the hang of it.

Schrodinghost by Carduus 2014-09-03T18:08:00

Fantastic game, the art is top notch and the gameplay is hilarious.

United Nanolytics Knowledge Vault by chas 2014-08-27T22:04:00

Fantastic way to connect the theme with a game.

Mansion on the Hill by BuffaloPhil 2014-09-03T18:16:00

Great game, I like the story. Amazing that you got it done in 48 hours.

Corponnected Ltd. by Wan 2014-08-26T21:50:00

I played through the whole game and enjoyed every minute of it. Each factory setup brought a unique strategy and I liked figuring out where bottlenecks were through the fast forward feature which let me tinker and optimize to my hearts content. Great Job!
