I really want to like this game and I've played it probably the most out of all the entries so far but something seems off about it. Are you sure it's calculating everything correctly? I tried to take over a small gray planet with like 5 of my huge planets and nothing ever happened. It would be nice if I could see where the AI was targeting too.

One thing you could do to improve this concept is make the consuming more visceral and random. Perhaps even add a Gears of War style "active reload" timer based on the chomping. The better you do, the more bones and blood gets spewed up. Perhaps even change the cat's reaction based on how bloody/gross the scene gets. =)
