Brilliant. Loved the chat boxes and the blood fountains spraying everywhere.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → Slasher

Brilliant. Loved the chat boxes and the blood fountains spraying everywhere.
This is beautiful. Pretty much everything is on point except for the lack of an ability to skip the kids driving in.
It was all right in concept, but with the long drive in, and the fact that the kids movements are mostly random, it meant me sitting outside the door for a minute or so for each attempt.
@Ilseroth You can climb through the windows at the back of the cabin.
That was AWESOME
Cool stuff, scores in all categories
Well done as always. Gorgeous and clever, just like you
Hey, actually cool idea! If make more levels or even level generator that would be really cool-ass!
Excellent. Could definitely be expanded with multiple murder weapons and randomization (need to kill first guy with a chainsaw, second with an axe, third with a knife, etc.).
Awesome! Hah this game is great. I wish there was a bit more ramping in the AI. it took a long time to wait for the first guy to be alone then it got much easier as you cut down the rest. I could also see some fun reactions with having the people find a dead body, or even have the last person try to fight back in true b-horror movie fashion! Really great take on the theme, nice art and sound. loved it!
Great game. Only thing that felt missing was the teens not being scared by the carnage - which you decided against anyway.
Excellent. Could definitely be expanded with multiple murder weapons and randomization (need to kill first guy with a chainsaw, second with an axe, third with a knife...).
Black guy is always dying first - oh you! :D
Great fun, you captured the essence of those movies and made it into an awesome game.
Wow, lovely pixelart and a really innovative gameplay. You really managed to turn me into a psycho - I wounded my last victim and let her run around the house while bleeding :D
Amazing game!
Wonderful! Great mood, art and humor. Gameplay is the only negative part, but overall great!
Best game of the competition. Great job! 5/5
Great game, the only thing I miss is a way to drive the attention of the people.
The strategy involved in killing the teens in order made this game very interesting and gave it a bit of nice strategy. To help with the random movement, I would've wanted to maybe see some sort of tricks (making noises etc) to alert some of the teens to different rooms. Overall very enjoyable!
Fun game ! Personally, I don't mind the patience game at the beginning when waiting for the right time to strike.
Great game. I love the stereotypical order of victims :D.
The premise is really good and it sets the mood well, but often I'm just waiting for minutes for a character to move to any area where I can get to them without being seen by anyone else. Would love a post-compo version with more "directed randomness" and/or ways to lure characters, etc.
this is really fitting in the theme.and the random order makes it interesting to do it again.also hiding is a good game mechanic if you want to wait in a specific room.
Great game with a great concept. I only wish there were ways to lure the characters into different rooms so I can be more proactive about when I get to kill them.
Amazing, but the orderd killing forces alot of waiting
Nice it! But yes. It needs a lot of waiting.
This entry is great but a few things could be improved. The intro should be skippable, the movement shouldn't be so random, and the controls should either be keyboard layout agnostic or adjustable.
Every Friday the 13th / Halloween movie ever...perfect! I agree the intro needs a skip button since serial killing is hard. Great job!
Great entry, nice graphics and audio. You can trick the gameplay by standing behind a window and wait until the right teen comes in, but it make a lot of fun and I love the idea
Love it! Like how waiting is a big part of it. Dynamic music that swells up when your target gets near would be awesome (if you ever decide to expand on it)
I was really excited for this based on the screenshots. The theme and idea is excellent but I think the mechanics aren't in the spirit of slashers. I don't think they go around STRICTLY following rules and abiding by specific orders of operations. It would have been a lot more fun to have more freedom in tackling the situation. Well made and really cool, but I could have had more fun.
"¿Are you serious?" XDDDD
Fun, and the game lasts as long as it should... it´s a compo entry! Good job
This was a good entry, however I feel there was lots of room for improvement. Please don't take my constructive criticism as something harsh as I still enjoyed this entry quite a lot, I just felt like it could have been a bit better. Some actual walking animations(even if it was simple two frame ones) would have added a bunch. The killing them in order was a nice mechanic as it added strategy to your murder, but I feel it needed more balance for skill as I found the most efficient way of killing them was just waiting around for them to go in one of the window rooms and jumping in on them. The waiting got a touch boring but it was a nice contrast to the adrenalin rush that was the actual slashing them to pieces. Another thing that would have made it better is to have some reactions even if it is just something minor like chat changing to the bodies. Finally, some randomization of the house to keep it fresh would also have been awesome. I realize these features were WAY too much to add in such a small time frame, but I point them out simply because I feel this game was very well made and fun and just wanted to hypothesize about its full potential. Overall, great entry!
Gave high points for humor. Really funny. :) I love the chat boxes, and I also loved when one of the college peeps walked into a room with a dead body and the chat box read ":D". Hahah!
The random AI was a bit annoying at times, but not too bad. I did notice that after a while the roof to the house returned and I couldn't see inside the building. A bug?
I liked the graphics, but I think restarting the game afte rfail takes too long.
Challenging and very random in the kids movements, would love to be able to lure them someplace dark or distract some of them
The idea is great and the graphics and audio are well done. I wish there was a way to direct/distract their attention, that could make it more interesting.
Oh my, this was great fun :} Bits reminded me of Ghost Master! Fantastic mood throughout - I played it safe and stood by just one window, climbed in for a quick hit and climbed out. Would happily pay for a fully fleshed out B-movie cheesier version with different villains.
the speech bubble text is hilarious! More interaction with objects would have been nice!
Nice concept. Really hard at first but really fun!
Good game, short but really fun.
This is a fun concept but I found the additional rule that you also have to scare them in the right order a bit too restrictive. Also is there a way to manipulate where they will go? I think this has potential to be extended into something that could be really fun if players had may be that one more tool at their hands besides hiding and attacking.
Also in all tries it was always http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BlackDudeDiesFirst huh?
Pretty funny :D
Rad! Love the writing and mechanics :) everything pretty much works instinctively, which is a huge plus :)
The killing people in specific order is a nice touch.
Until I realised you can get in through the window I was really kinda just waiting and waiting and waiting.
The way that kids walk all over fallen friends' pile of blood and heads as if nothing happened is a bit off.
The chat boxes are very funny. Good entry, great idea. :)
It was a good idea to force an order of killing them. It doesn't make much sense, but it makes it more interesting to complete the game.
A walking animation would have been nice.
I also miss some reactions when finding dead bodies.
