That music :)
Seems like running is much more effective then trying to kill them.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → urbanhelsing
That music :)
Seems like running is much more effective then trying to kill them.
Very innovative gameplay, this is how Tony Stark must have felt like.
Well done, very aesthetic
More fun than I though it would be. Maybe the weapon upgrade and life cost is a bit high.
Nice to see UE4, would like to have some goal though.
Great game. Would like to have real words to speed up the reading. And the letters was a bit too small for my eyes.
Yay! destructable terrain and interactive water
Looks really good for multiplayer. One problem with having 4 people pressing and holding down keys on the same keyboard is that all keys will not respond. Gamepad inputs would be nice.
Really really nice game and looks great. One flaw though is that the goal is to survive as long as possible I could just stand still and live forever. Maybe the monsters should move some to then find you. Or placing a goal or object that you would have to find to win/survive.
Nice variation from games where you should attack all enemies, here you need to hide instead, which is much more tense (according to me).
Very interesting. Would like to have an easier begining so that I feel that I do something right.
Controls were good but not perfect. The level design and progress was great.
Really fun and finally an RTS. Very hard though, have not been able to build the second tower yet... but have not given up. Can I move my island? How?
Very good! What to improve: To fast movement for that small screen. Mouse was not at the right pos at fullscreen.
Nice graphics and intro, but becomes laggy when there is alot of enemies.
Nice concept, with more content and tweaking this could be really fun
Sounds very fun but I could not get the mouse aim to work
Finally a multiplayer game!
Lots of graphics but the gameplay needs more attention, I felt like it was hopeless, could not afford more than one tower while the enemies was destroying the base.
Truly unconventional
Looks great, I can go outside the world to the right side of the screen.
The walk part takes too long time
Fantastic, has everything. One thing though, the view is a bit far away for me.
Looks fun, but laggy.
Nice, I want more
I got a big error message from mscorlib, anyone that could fix this?
I dont like installers...
Fun idea, good gameplay
Looks fun but the game just freezes at the start menu...
Is there any tactics of when to push the button?
Perfect for a phone with touchscreen
The movement keys did not always respond
Nice physics
I almost turn off this game because I did not get the keys, but after alot of guessing I could start to play. Fun game, nice idea to combine TD with the resource collecting. Far to easy though.
Great with multiplayer. Only one problem, I dont like to walk and aim with the same stick...
Nice robot
Nice, but hard to play with quirky keys that does not always respond. And I cant kill anything on the second level...
Nice graphics
Best gameplay so far. Would like to have more variation and increased difficulty.
Fun, but maybe a cooldown for the attacks?
Really nice game, would like to speed up the turns though, gets slow after a while. And does not restart if you die.
Okay concept, not that fun gameplay.
Very Fun! Would like to know more how the damage/HP is caluclated to understand what item to take. Would also like to know how the entrance and exits are placed, seemed to jump around alot.
Often the hero could walk through walls and sometimes jump back to previous dungeons, bug?
To be able to see the heroes stats during his run would make the waiting more fun.
Finaly a real monster, very annoying sound
Nice music. It took a while for me to figure out that you only can place your towers on the shadow spots. And maybe you should stick with english for the whole game.
Very nice music, but hard to understand
I like this but there was to many items to keep track of. Maybe there should only be a few in the beginning and more added as you progress. The easy way is to only buy and sell to a trader that buys his own goods for a higher price.
Great story, could not be better
I cant complete the first level, did I miss something or can I only send goblins from a corner?
Very high quality entry! Great concept, would definitely buy a full version of this game. I really like these kinds of asymmetrical multiplayer games, just like Crawl. I have only played by myself using two clients of the game for now, but it's still great fun! Gonna try and play it with some of my friends later. The pixel art needs to be mentioned as well, it looks very professional. Would be nice to be able to play the game locally as well (just like Crawl), then you wouldn't have to start two clients at the same computer.
One of the best so far, but you can simply avoid the enemies by pressing D during the whole game
Nice theme interpretation
Gets stuck after attacking a boat
A bit annoying to restart the game everytime you die. The controls were fine except for the walljumping which were a bit janky. Interesting art style with decent animations. The hitboxes on the enemies are slightly too big. Game is a bit short (can beat it in about 30 sec). Didn't quite understand the ending, was he homosexual and villagefolk were bigots or something? Or did he just kill his wife and now he's hunted?
Retro, but too slow for my taste
Nice sound, would like to move faster.
This types of games are very interesting, but if the first task that the player encounters is considered too hard/confusing he will not continue. My tip is to start with something easy so that the player get some concept, then continue with harder challanges
Interesting concept. Limited gameplay. Neat graphics. Glitched through wall when facing backwards against it. Could use a replay button, had to refresh the page to restart.
Mouse should be invisible when on screen. Would be nice with some audio.
Overall: Decent first 3D game attempt!
The funniest game yet, the gameplay is very confusing though and the constant crashes makes it very hard to play
Fantastic pixel art and animation! The AI was a bit stupid though, kept running into walls. Loved the scan line filter, really made the graphics stand out.
Very fun adventure game. The 15 minutes of surviving/waiting was a bit boring though. Annoying that you only can search trees and bushes once, I missed some times and then the food was lost. I would like that new popups removes the old ones to avoid overlapping and missed texts. One of the boars died near a tree, which made it impossible to loot. Could only search the tree then. But otherwise great!
Great fun! Learn to walk again. Would be nice with a simpler mode to learn the basics without falling.
Nice graphics, would like to have a greater view though and there seems to be some bugs, dead humans move around and after a while the ability to infect stopped
I want more
Nice sprites, the sound was abit annoying though.
Funny game. Got 125 points, it got quite intense after 100 points.
Can't start the game, gets this error:
###################################
ERROR in
action number 1
of Create Event
for object obj_resolution:
Invalid surface dimensions
at gml_Object_obj_resolution_Create_0
###################################
Very fun to play, nice gore effects and theme mood. Would like to have some way of regaining the health.
I got to the double click step... it did not run
Nice footwork, rough ending
Very easy to get stuck, and that motor sound was annoying
Good game, some sound would improve the experience
Nice story, need more though
Good gameplay and pleasing for the eye
Link dont work :(
The controls were buggy, to fast movement, could walk throught walls with the gamepad
Could not run, screen just make one flash
Nice banana, but the movement is too fast
Good game. I was first confused pressing the right shift key that made a sound but did not steal.
Please, no installers in the future
Nice twist ending, but kinda saw it coming. Decent pixelart, OK sfx and music. Not sure if it was deliberate on the part where the enemies turned around when you shot them, but it made the game a helluva lot harder, which is not a bad thing.
Overall a pretty good entry, especially since it was your first attempt at making a game.
Can't run the game...
Looks great and is fun to play but more game mechanics need to be added, you can just build a wall of spikes around the house and win. Game also stops at wave 5. The trap placing felt more annoying than it could have been.
Great idea! But annoying that I can press outside the screen and lose control
Fun game, what to improve: movement is twerky and the end sound is to loud
Can not start from "Web" Return does not continue.
Did the runner had to have plastic pants while recording that sound...
Looks good, bonus for 3D, but I dont understand what to do...
BRAINS!
It does not load for me
How long time do I have to click the ship? And the text is to slow.
Then non-WASD is painful, conform to the majority
I would like to destroy the buildings, like a vegitarian alternative...
Very high quality, I enjoyed this
Nice models
Very nice looking 3d-graphics! The character models are excellent. Decent level design. Pretty hard, but i managed to beat it. Attack animation is way to slow, and the hitboxes are kinda wonky.
The Windows download link gets you to the web version, and also the option menus doesn't seem to work in the web version.
Overall: Nice graphics, decent gameplay, a bit short.
This looks amazing, but have big problems with the gameplay, the movement is jerky and could not find any weapons to test. The meny system, however, is top notch and you already have added customisable contents. Next time focus more on the gameplay before you think of the menues and extra content.
Fun in the beginning but mostly button mashing
Great game, lots of content, nice to see some local coop aswell.
I only get runtime error for windows
Metal as fuck! Probably got a winner here.
Ha! My first beard. Wonder how the scoring works...
This is the most fun games so far, great audio and graphics
Pretty decent little puzzle game. Last level was really tricky but I beat it at last. Thought it was a bit annoying having to wait everytime the snakes fell down.
Like Katamari but with crappy controls. Nice graphics though.
Fun game mechanic. Would like to control the growth more.
Nice pixel art, liked the guitar hero style of play.
Very nice art-style! Liked the using money for springs mechanic. Would be nice to be able not to put all the money you have in the bag, but I guess that is part of the puzzle. The game was not too difficult. Found one problem though: when you put a bag by the exit, you can't pick it up again, because it will only try and exit the level if you push the action button, but you couldn't exit the level because you don't have enough gold.
There should be more political games like this
Good physics and theme! The map had to many sharp edges that made the driving troublesome
I like RTS-games, but not idle clicker games. This is kind of a mix between those two. Sound is really loud. The graphics are simple but OK. Would be nice to have a goal to reach and any challenge.
This game was amazing! Best of the ones I've tried.
Looks good but the towers you can get is not enough to defeat the first wave (unless I do something very wrong maybe...)
Simple and fun
Had a blast playing the game, really enjoyed it, just plain good.
The level design was great, maybe some harder levels would be good.
Nice running animation, great christmas game!
Awesome music and pixel-art! I liked that when you spam the buttons you just slam both your hands on the table.
Wow, what an amazing game! It's filled with content and original mechanics. Loved the growing limbs mechanic and I don't think I have seen it in another game. This is definitely one of the top submissions, and I would probably buy a full version of this. There were some problems though, the grabbing of boxes was a bit fiddly and running and jumping when you had long legs was difficult because your leg wasn't where your collisionbox were. Other than that, an excellent game!
Really hard to control, but pretty fun nonetheless. Couldn't get past the level with two moving boxes, that was way too hard. Being able to move back and forth in the input queue would probably make it much better, but then the game would require more than 2 buttons and therefore not fit the theme.
Hey Fernando! Nice campaign, I had to work to hard for that fish though
Much more fun than I initially thought. That shooting sound was a bit disturbing though...
The yellow platforms were so abusable, it increased the velocity every time you jumped them. Kinda nice game, didnt like the red platforms at all, could've implemented that in some other way. Liked the difficulty, nice niché that you have to use the bouncing part of the blue platforms.
Simple and very fun take on an auchtung die kurve-like game. Loved it!
Got 135 point! I think, missed the last screen because I pressed a button just as it showed up. Anyways, fun and simple game with pretty graphics.
Biochemist here, really like this game idea but its a lot of game rules to digest directly. Would be better if the player would face only one or a few new concepts per level and only start with one core game behaviour. Im still not sure if I understand how everything works after playing this a while. I would like to have some way to defend agaist toxins instead of sacrificing organells, add a peroxisome maybe? Expanding this game sounds very interesting (for me at least) with adding more and more organells and concepts per level, maybe playing with different cell types or coping with viruses, so much to add...
The constant moving was an interesting feature, but very annoying though
Great game!
Well made and fun to play. One bug some enemies got stuck at their spawnpoint at the right spawnposition. But why can't the trees and mushrooms just get along?
Fun, but the ship is difficult to control. Sometimes it locks in thrust mode
This is great. To improve: would like to speed up the waterflow and to rotate the tubes with mouse scroll to avoid the keyboard.
Really good puzzle game with simple yet great 3D-graphics. Love the spiral-shaped level design.
Physics simulations always works
I could not get it to start... (windows)
Fun to play but I would like it to be 10 times faster
Liked the part where you pet the dog/cat
I could not start the game, just get a console flash (windows)
I just get a white screen with "Score: 0"....
Great game, lots of content. Would be nice to have some way to speed-up (maybe by pushing both left and right). That would make it less frustrating when you die and got very far, as you could just boost your way back.
Looks alot like Papers, please. Not sure how to even to anything in the game besides read some papers. After some turns I get overthrown and then I can't do anything...
Couldn't beat the third level, can't escape the turret fast enough.
Looks really great but was very laggy for me though
Amazing mood, minor suggestion: would like the game to restart directly afer failure, supermeatboy style. Tummen upp från svenskar!
Great mood & atmosphere. Objectives are a bit ungrounded and batteries probably need to last longer. I felt I did things fairly quickly but I ran out pretty fast. I'd love a bit more "story" behind the game. From my perspective this is what happened:
- Spawn, look over the first objectives
- Take flashlight (BAM, dark - spook+1), light it and take batteries
- Read note, take objective. Ok, objectives aren't visible until the last one is taken, which means I'll have to re-check everything every time I take one up
- "Touch mirror" ok
- Another world, spoookyy
- Who are "they" - Am I still chasing small christmas presents?
- What's this flying metal mosquito?
- Oh, it's probably "them". I died but respawned?
- Realize I forgot I can sprint with shift
- Find note and a few other objectives -> out of batteries, game over.
> Why do the batteries need to last longer, can't I just replay the game and do things faster?
No. This game is all about atmosphere and mood. When I need to keep replaying the game, making a speedrun out of it that is completely gone.
I'm gonna give it another go to try get to the end! Great entry, enjoyed it!
I played through the entire game now. To add to my previous comment: Nice little game. Having to wait 20 seconds for the damage-thing was boring. I just turned off my flash light and stood looking at it for 20 seconds every time.
Great use of the theme, the character controls (Web version) are a bit unresponsive and unreliable, I felt, perhaps by design? But I felt myself getting a bit annoyed at it. If we didn't have the shadow underneath us it would have been extremely hard to manuever with purpose.
Great entry though, I managed to get on the highscore, yay! Great replay-value and highly addictive.
Really fun! Would like to see more of this. I got problems with placing one belt that could not be placed anywhere but on one position, otherwise nice.
Great graphics and sound
Great level design. Amazing that this is your first game!
Great job. This was amazing, loved the voice acting, the graphics, the overall game.
Any feedback I'd give is that I'd love to have a final really hard level, as it was a very easy but enjoyable run-through.
An example could be a massive enemy force vs a lone soldier. That'd be challenging!
Fun game and really hard when playing solo (survived for 38 seconds and got 15 kills). Models looks really good and the animations are understandably simple. Somekind of effect when shooting a bullet and when hitting something would've been nice. Playing co-op would probably be even more fun. Overall: Good Game!
Yay, I beat it! Last level is really hard to get all the stars, those dang rats. Very good game, very fun, the best submission I have seen so far. Great Job!
Nice pixel art, next step would be to add some sounds.
Fun concept! We made a similiar kind of Escape Room puzzle game. The time limit seems a bit short, did not have enough time to look around. I had a problem with the mouse going off screen (even in fullscreen) and clicking will minimize the game window, a bit annoying. Also, after pressing Retry all the objects are frozen and you can't move.
Enjoyable game, solid concept. The issue is, as previously mentioned, that it gets uninteresting quite quick.
It could get more difficult faster and/or your could add other satisfying things such as sounds at certain points in the game or a more exiting game world. A future feature would, of course, be enjoyable powerups.
Also, a bug I think. I'm guessing you've put a trigger above the balls. I think you can perhaps jump over these? Or is it perhaps that the speed of the character lets you go through the trigger without colliding? Anyhow, my speculation is worthless here - the bug: sometimes when jumping over, they aren't destroyed.
I realize this was perhaps out of scope since you were quite limited with time and space, my comment is merely food for thought. Nice work anyhow!
Models and animation looks good, but I'm not sure what you are supposed to do in the game. Pressing the buttons while the glass passes by makes the character drink it (not sure if that does anything else). Maybe giving points to the player when you manage to press the button in the right time would be good. Overall, decent graphics but gameplay needs some work.
Audio and mood is really good! The pixel-art might be a little abstract for my taste (really hard to understand what things are). Could not find all the light switches, only the blue and yellow ones (and not sure if the tv counts?) Controlling the character feels a bit non-responsive, button input seems delayed.
If you get stuck or encounter any game breaking bugs, feel free to a leave comment.
@JK5000 Thank you for your comment! I will make a walkthrough video on my youtube channel, which you could look at if you get stuck.
Fun and innovative. Very impressive for only 18 hours
Models and textures looks very good, especially that armchair. Controls work very well and I like the blue beam from the robot to the cursor (but sometimes it stats flickering). The game is a bit easy if you just camp the mousehole, maybe could've had multiple spawnpoints?
Looks fun but the controls needs to be improved
I wiped the party, Yey! Very fun to play as the boss and use all of his abilites. The boss character looks really good, and I like how the camera pans around (very cinematic). Only problem I can think of is that the controls sometimes feel unresponsive (not sure why) and more levels/waves would be nice too.
I can not press the green button on some levels, or is that the point maybe...
Nice, doom-like game. Also would like to have some more levels. And a small thing, some sound when pushing buttons to let the player know that something happened.
Am I the last bugger? Fun to play
Super fun! Would like to be able to play multiplayer too.
Like the art-style, gameplay might be lacking. The enemies are quite easy, not sure if they do any damage? Would be nice to able to shoot in more directions than just up.
Great music!
Wow, what a great game (5 stars)! This game was made for me as a designer, you need to be able to recognize patterns quickly to get that high score (mine was 25172 btw). Music is really nice too. Great Job!
The kids kept quizzing me on which flowers were selling in the shop, not sure if something was supposed to happen when you answer correctly. A strange little game... the art was pretty good though.
Those darn hamster just won't stop killing themselves . Not sure if there is a way to win, but I kept them alive for pretty long. I liked that they multiplied when they were having fun times in bed . The 3D graphics are real great and the tiny hamsters are just too adorable.
Wow, this is great! Best sound effects I have heard in a LD game. Graphics, physics and controls are also top-notch. Some suggestions, I would like a HUD indicator to show the direction to a delivery point, since the screen is smaller than the world. And maybe add some more features on the way to prolong the gameplay. Thanks!
I really liked the background art and I agree, though theme.
For a LD game, wow. My only complaint is that the transitions between scenes were a bit confusing.
The art is really nice (kinda reminds me of Rayman Legends). Only played it by myself, but I can see how much fun it would be to play with 3 other people. Great Job!
A very... interesting game, to say the least. I liked seeing two versions of everything, but I was quite confused to how you were supposed to get past the "enemies". Walking up to them and talking would fill up the panicmeter, but also make them go away. Trying to go around seemed to work sometimes, except for the ones that were moving way too fast. I liked the pixel-art though, looked very clean and readable. Overall, interesting but tricky.
Short but sweet! The graphics are nice, animation looks a bit floaty though. Game was pretty easy to beat, I think. The walking on the ground sound effect was maybe a bit too loud. Overall, pretty decent.
Loved it! 5 stars all around! The art is magnificent (especially the turtle). It fits the theme perfectly. Loved growing my army, taking over the relics and then crush the enemy with a swift attack. Best entry I've played so far!
Fun! The joy of typing is very underrated. The things that I would like to improve is firstly the font is a bit hard to read, which is frustrating some times. And the other thing is that it was quite slow and simple. Maybe with an adaptive difficulty level the game could get harder when the player is better. Maybe adding more features would complicate things enough to increase the difficulty level.
Look nice, fun to play. The way the car was controlled and camera was very good. Sound and music is also fits nicely. If I am going to complain about anything it would be that the game was a bit simple. But very good overall
Looks interesting but I think I need some more information on what to do... Some suggestions, sound will improve a lot. The controls are not as responsive as I would prefer. Looks quite good though.
Just like that old pokemon game. This game everything, great graphics, great sound/music, humor and simple but fun gameplay, perfect for a ludum dare submission. My suggestion on what to add to improve the game more is some more game features and maybe another level. Thanks!
This is really my kind of game, thanks! Complicated controls is exactly what I want. Reminds me of old submarine games. I would really like to see this evolve to something bigger. Here are some suggestions on how to improve: Add more features so that all of the ship's functions are useful. Some more/better sounds. More responsive/interactive control panel so that the player sees that a button is being pressed.
3 games instead of 1. The backstory to the games were top fun!
This is so far the most advance entry I have tested. Looks and sounds very nice and professional. One annoying thing is that there are too many enemies at the same time. Some sounds when you hit enemies and when enemies hit you helps the player understand what is going on. A slower start would be appreciated so I could learn/test all the controls before the amount of enemies are overwhelming. Thanks!
Well made and fun to play. The way to control the cord was difficult in the beginning but could be learned. I was hoping for movement similar to "Achtung die kurve". Some sound/music would improve much.
Yes there were some bugs but I guess they were fixed in the postjam version. Fun gameplay but too easy (to me at least). Some new features are probably required or larger levels. You could also do this in 2D, top down view, allowing much larger levels. Nice graphics!
The controls were great, as well as the player animation. Sometimes I get stuck in walls so I guess there are some bugs. One suggestion to improve is to either move the player more to the left or zoom out because when the player is almost at the right side of the screen (while running) it is hard to predict what is ahead.
Fun to see an RTS game, they are very rare here. The method to select the units was... interesting. A simple box selection might be easier. A short tutorial would also be very helpful.
Really great for a first submission. Looks very good. Here are some of my suggestions to improve. The controls might be too floaty, hard to move at all when there are so many enemies (or maybe too many enemies). I think the enemies have too much HP which slows down the game pace. Nice music but I think there was one bug that made the music was played twice after a respawn.
First of all, very nice drawings! I enjoyed the humor a lot, fun to read all of the campaign promises. It takes a while to get into though. Maybe a progression of some sort would be nice, where the different features are unlocked during the gameplay.
My antivirus software (avast) though the .exe was a something bad... Just wanted to let you know, others might have the same problem.
Fun story! Interesting gameplay. I would like to have some sound/music to improve.
I am probably very stupid but... how do I start your game?
Simple and fun. The screen shake adds a lot. I would like to see some more graphics and maybe a larger variation of enemies. Good sound design.
It got quite difficult already at the second level. Maybe some easier levels in the beginning will reduce the risk of early rage-quits. The controls were perfect but a bit difficult to know the depth position. A top-down view would be easier for this, but maybe less interesting...
Loved the graphics!
This game looks awesome!
Very innovative idea I must say. Btw, I also made a racing game, check it out if ya like!
Nice graphics!
Really fun game!
Awesome tower defense. Very fun!
