This is brilliant! I think I watched the countdown three times before figuring out that there was more to it. Then it took a few tries to actually win the game. Very nice.

I love it, this is an interesting take on a exit the room kind of deal.
Wow. I can't believe I sat there watching a countdown timer as long as I did. That's meant to be a compliment, you drew me right in, nice!
Game inspired by the recent reddit April fools joke ; )? Nice little puzzle, good job.
I like it! It's a good length for a text game, has some humour, and has just a touch of problem solving.
Really neat! Took me a few tries before I found out what files I could actually open
Also nice touch with the randomized passwords!
This was the first game that got a full fist pump when I won. Love it love it love it. Really great work.
well played! Very good. The log files are hilarious!
Nice work, the concept is really good. I also stayed a moment before realizing that you could do other thing than looking at the countdown.
Good job!
This is by far the funniest entry.
And great job on that intro. The game itself was unconventional! Loved it!
My only constructive criticism is to have a cursor in the terminal after you click the time, to indicate that typing should happen.
Other than that, I'd say it's perfect.
Very interesting take on the theme
Nice, I want more
Quite good, but i would have prefered no spoilers in the description. Anyway, I keep wondering i the game can beaten (aside from the non-to-play tactic)
Oh my it blown me away. Hah. Bomb joke. 5/5 because it was super appropriate. Simple yet captivating. Good job!
Good game! Little puzzle. Doom2 isn't launching.
Thanks for the nice comments everyone! :) I've uploaded a new version fixing a tiny thing that could potentially break the game, just noticed it! I'll probably upload a post-jam version at some point with additions.
Cool game, sadly I couldn't figure it out... Maybe I'll try again later :) It's so hard!
amazing! i really wanted to launch doom2! really funny. and the randomized passwords too. interesting puzzles
It is an interesting take and a cool concept.
Really neat puzzle game! I liked the text dialogue. :)
It took a few tries to figure out what to do after the entering the password. ugh.. and it was so simple.
That was brilliant! I still can't work out how to beat it though :P
absolutely blew me away that i won this 10/10 amazing!
C'mon
very nice :))
that was great
check mine, it's something like yours
Great take on the theme, and unconventional game indeed :D I like text-based games, you really hit my sweet spot with this :) It's a bit hard to navigate, but the idea is great. Good job :) !
had a good time :) Although you might want to add a little text to explain people that the command "help" is available, as programmers, it's our first reflexe but yeah, not everyone is a programmer :D
Nice game!
I liked that you have to fiddle around a bit to find the clues necessary to abort the launch.
Interesting idea. You get lot's of cool points... about there are some things that annoyed me...
Good points:
- I liked how you get to learn what the game is about by playing it
- Woow! It's a game that simulates a terminal!
- As far as I could tell, you generate a random password each time! Nice!
Not so good points (or things I'm going to nitpick since it's a "terminal simulator"):
- 'dir' as a command? Seriously? As a Linux user, that was horrible. (jk)
- The lack of auto-complete really annoyed me...
- You read files by running them, instead of having the pass the file as an argument to 'cat' or another "program"
- No numpad support (who types on the "normal" number?)
- No auto-scroll nor limit for the screen's height
Still, those are thing that mostly annoyed me because I'm too used with using bash. People who don't use Linux (or terminals, in general) shouldn't care about that.
Anyways, I really liked this. :)
I love the concept and the gameplay progression; I failed a few times, which made me smile later when I had the clue. Very nice idea!
very strange, i felt like the game was playing me
@GFM Haha, most of that nit picky stuff was going to be fixed actually. Especially numpad and auto-complete. It was down to time, I made this in a day more or less and I didn't think an accurate terminal was the most important thing on the TODO list. Thanks a lot though, glad you like it! :)
Love the idea. First time around I had no idea what to do. Sat there watching the timer. Only after a while I realized I could click on it and type stuff in. I think only programmers and people who use linux will get it though. Very niche audience. Either way, funny and i enjoyed it. Well done!
I really like the minimalistic style and the overall use of the theme, great job!
haha nice game, but I could not find any valid word :(
Tricky. Made me feel dumb in the end. Good one.
