There is a couple of nice ideas, but it's a little bit too convoluted with all this buying chips then eating them etc.. Instead you could just pick them up, or pick up salt.

A really nice idea. Although I didn't come across any enemies either (which was a bit of a bummer). I would suggest working on level design, or simply making one small level yourself with hand-placed elements there, so it wouldn't be just a matter of luck to stumble upon them.
