FYI Got a long error message and the game didn't play.

nurabsal 2015-04-20 02:43

unity error?

pat-aftermoon 2015-04-20 02:55

Sorry for the convenience, the HTML5 version works better with FireFox.
I've just uploaded a classic Unity WebPlayer version, try it if you have troubles with HTML5 version.

fanttum 2015-04-20 03:08

I got to play it. But I didn't really get it... what are you meant to do?

paperblurt 2015-04-20 13:24

It reminds me of Super Frog.
Hats off to you!

figglewatts 2015-04-20 14:20

Pretty solid game

celt 2015-04-20 17:35

Even for an unfinished game...i love particels! And it's fun to mess around with those bottles :)

pythong 2015-04-21 16:08

unfinished? at first i could jump, then i touched the wall to the left by the red button(?), but after i fell down again, i couldn't jump anymore

gnx 2015-04-24 20:22

Graphics looks good and the mechanic works, but like you said the game is not quite finished so there is only so much to play here :)

Running in FireFox, I got this error in the HTML5 version: An error occured running the Unity content on this page. See your browser's JavaScript console for more info. The error was:

If this abort() is unexpected, build with -s ASSERTIONS=1 which can give more information.

I'll try the other version and see if it works for me.

pat-aftermoon 2015-04-30 08:12

@defacid: Yesterday I built a new version with bug-fix (jump and robot movement). According to the date and time of your comment it seems that you have tried the HTML5 version during the upload of the files.
The HTML version has several files and they are a lot bigger than the classic Unity Plugin version. I'm sorry for the convenience and the next time I'll need to upload them in a separate folder in place of overwriting the existing files.

If you can, try again, and enjoy a less bugged version ;)

It's a shame you weren't able to get the weapon mechanics done on time but based on how you described them, they do sound quite interesting.

A recommendation for your next LD or gamejam is to allways focus on making the core game (movment, health(player and enemy) and a basic attack) before you start to work on graphics. That way if it takes to long to make the graphics you have the basic game you can put the graphics on without the additional fetures you wanted from the start. This is refered to as "Kill your Darlings", you never have time to do everything you wanted, eaven when you make a full game.

pat-aftermoon 2015-05-06 13:23

@TheScopelessOne: thank you for your advice, I totally agree. In fact, I was tired of my week of work as a software engineer. When the weekend started, I liked the drawing and animation part of my game so much that I got lost ;)

uber 2015-05-10 12:43

I was a little lost when I played the game, but then I read the description ; ).

jk5000 2015-05-10 17:31

Graphics and animation are amazing.
