Nice presentation in sound and graphics.
It takes a bit too long to find items. I think this game would need some mechanic to ensure the player finds something at a steady rate :)

Nice presentation in sound and graphics.
It takes a bit too long to find items. I think this game would need some mechanic to ensure the player finds something at a steady rate :)
Very nice little game.
I didn't understand on my first play why I died, but to your credit I was actually able to figure it out without reading any instructions :)
The color scheme is fresh and different and your game idea also feels very original.
The music was alright but nothing too memorable. Also I think you could perhaps add some bigger signal when you're about to blow up as watching the top right and the shifting color channels can be difficult.
All in all a very polished and original entry.
It is a bit too tiny, at least on my display.
I am really liking the transistions, it feels like a storybook or comic but also a game.
The music is pleasent.
The game did jam when I was climbing the tree. The snail hitting sound started looping and I couldn't do anything anymore.
Aside from tininess and bugs very nice.
I kind of enjoy the graphic style. I think there is a lot of promise there. Gameplay is solid enough but there doesn't seem to be a clear objective as such. Sound usually livens up action games, but unfortunately there is none.
All in all very nice effort for a first jam.
Very intuitive.
Interesting concept. The controls weren't completely intuitive and I could never figure out how my pixels pick what they will shoot at.
But somehow there is a cool "alive" vibe to this.
There is something nice about the art style. Except the font which doesn't sit at all with the graphics.
The movement is a bit glitchy and I seemed to get stuck a lot.
Also I am not a big fan of having action keys when you're already touching whatever you want interact with.
I think sound could've done a lot here. Some jungle ambience etc.
I don't usually care much for planet defense games. But you've blended it with platforming action in a way that is very inspiring and fun.
The game is a bit easy and it doesn't really progress much, but the basic action is so fun it makes up for that.
Unfinished and very glitchy (I walked on air, fell through platforms, after jumping the character won't walk before tapping the arrow key again).
But graphics are very nice indeed :)
Overall a very nice game. I do find a it a it confusing the way more jellies constantly spawn without any warning so I died a couple of times without having a clear idea what hit me.
Nice looking game.
I do feel the controls could be a bit more responsive. To me it felt like the sliding would "pump". Like the timer on that button couldn't quite keep up.
A very simple game but basically fun.
I liked the core mechanic of having 2 vehicles to shoot from. It is just that the action wasn't very satisfying because the projectiles make little impact and there is a constant spam of enemies.
But I do see the foundation of a good shooter game here.
Music would've been nice.
Very basic. Control feels a bit stiff.
But it is a game alright.
Fun idea. The graphics work well in this.
I would've liked some a bit more concrete object. Perhaps you should have a limited amount of the bridges and then you should collect more of them?
I also managed to box myself in with them with no way out :P
I like the graphics a lot. The effects are also very cool.
As someone who has a bit of experience in dealing with box2d and Löve I think this game is very nice.
Because of the above statement I won't also mark this game for the fact the 2 blocks on the left suddenly exploded outwards and launched my rocket to the sky, from where it fell down back :D
Nice planet mechanics. Didn't like the darkening screen too much. Everytime it went darker it made me think it will fade into a game over screen or something.
Nice clearly working game. I am not sure I really get the sense behind collecting planets, but perhaps it is meant as a very abstract mechanic in this context :)
The game is very easy and some complexity would help a lot.
Really like the music and sound effects on this one.
The game mechanic feels original and rather fun.
I found it a bit hard to get what the "rules" for your physics were, so maybe some improvement required there.
The little added story bits did a lot here too.
The basic concept is alright. It is as the author states the unfinished nature of many features that lets this game down a bit.
Again I sorely miss music/background audio.
Very impressive scope.
I thought it was a nice touch to have moons to the planets in a somewhat realistic way.
Picking up fuel and minerals is a bit tedious due to their small size though. Combat works very well.
The only negative is the lack of any sound and the rather steep difficulty level.
Couldn't really get attacking to work(?).
The graphics and concept are good enough, but it is clear the game is not quite fully formed here.
But it is a very nice effort considering you wrote it from scratch.
The basics work well enough. Graphics are functional, some animation would be nice. Sound effects are good and clear, but I think in a simple game like this there could've been some music :)
The level-clearing condition wasn't quite clear on the UI, so I was a bit surprised when it just ended. Another thing about the ending, while graphics are functional, the javascript dialogs are pretty offputting and don't really fit with the rest of the ui.
The tech seems to be solid enough. I think the game would need a bit stronger gameplay to be actually fun. Now it is more a nice technical demo :)
Functional. The player character tends to get a bit stuck on things sometimes.
What I gain from collecting those boxes doesn't seem to be entirely clear. Sound is good, but the death sound is very loud and annoying.
Nice game. I think your graphics looked very nice. The weapons were fun to use and your level designed supported nicely all your mechanics.
The jump-noise is obnoxious though and this would so much better with some background music.
Also a little suggestions on key placement. X,C and space are all easily reachable, but pressing TAB is a bit of a hassle from such configuration.
Very nice! One of the best entries I've played.
Your tiny world stayed surprising and dynamic throughout.
Shame for the lack of music, but all in all a wonderful little game exactly fitting the jam theme.
Your story actually made me want to know what happens next.
Tested the love-version.
The mechanic works well enough and I like the sound effect design. But there does not seem to be much of an objective.
Nice game. I personally find the visual style a bit conflicted with the textures and ascii characters not quite working together.
Completely slideshows in chrome on my pc. Probably some optimization required.
Hitting the enemies with the lightning didn't maybe give quite enough feedback when you were missing vs. hitting.
I like the graphics and the little explosion effects. Javascript dialogs look a bit unpolished by comparison.
If this had just a little bit more varied gameplay and sound this might be awesome :)
The first true wat I've encountered in #23 games :D
Not sure if it is game, but it is something.
Spaceshooter that works well enough. I think it is somewhat let down by the extremely high difficulty and the lack of any kind of music. Sound effects are actually pretty beefy and refreshingly different from the expected 8bit style.
Also WASD and space makes ctrl a very awkward button to reach.
I liked the setup and how it was tied together with the end. There was a genuine story during this game.
The game itself really has no challenge and it was a bit weird having to tap the arrow keys to move.
Some music during the game would've been nice too.
Very solid graphics. The movement around could be a bit quicker, but I love the jetpack.
The effects are also very nicely done. Shame actually that it is such a tiny game;)
Interesting concept :D
The control is a bit glitchy, but the action is actually pretty fun.
Graphics are ugly, but I think in a very suitable way (if that makes sense).
Not bad.
The graphics are spot on emulation of 8bit times. I find the controls workable and the action fun. A very simple, pleasent game.
The control is very good. Graphics look nice and there is a cohesive atmosphere.
I also like the use of static text.
The teleport activation is not however very clear so it is easy to get stuck there.
For whatever reason I am unable to continue from the main menu.
Enter, space none work :(
I liked the graphics a lot. They're simple but memorable.
The platforming feels quite stiff for some reason. Also a lack of any sound makes this feel somehow very incomplete.
Nicely done. My favourite things are the graphics and the audio.
The mouse control for the bombs takes some figuring out and even then it is not the most intuitive.
I somehow really liked this. Minimalist games are very interesting to me. You manage to communicate a whole lot with some simple shapes and text.
On my first play I died and on my second I ended up in a maze with no way forward, so I guess it is somewhat generated each time?
A very nice idea, it would be fun to a play that looked and sounded like this but with a longer game and bigger world to explore.
Very nice graphics and audio. The game genuiely looks and sounds very competent. But what on earth were you thinking with the jumping. The impossibility of jumping while moving forward is extremely frustrating and made me quit way sooner than I would've liked to :)
I would like to see this project continued and implemented with a less frustrating jumping mechanic.
Nice retro-platforming action. Graphics look nice and fun.
Unfortunately like mentioned sound in chrome is pretty broken.
Nice idea. It is not very clear from the game itself what to do though.
Nice music and sound.
Ah, super meat boy in squares. Very competently done. Functional visuals and nice control. Sound is perhaps a bit bland.
I like the concept.
The player character moves a bit slow for my taste.
Everything is clear and no instruction is really required which is a great thing.
A bit richer soundscape would've also done wonders to the general mood :)
Nice concept. I played this rather long since it combines random chance and strategy in a nice way:)
The resources high pitched sound effect made me turn off the sound though. I think there is development potential here.
I liked the central mechanic a lot. It is very smart and combines sort of basebuilding with action elements. Unfortunately the action itself is not quite as fun. The enemies appear a bit too close to the player and there doesn't seem to be much strategy in the shooting.
However it is very impressive that this is a 48h compo game :)
I like one-button mechanics. Unfortunately I had to play this single player so I don't think I got the most fun out of it.
Graphics are nice, remind me of old PC adventure games for some reason. The control feels somehow fishy and the collision is also very punishing.
Sound is alright.
This was a fun entry. The gameplay is a bit repetitive, but I liked the announcements and little bits with speech bubbles.
The music was also suitably frantic. All and all I think you created an unusual mood for this game :)
Very impressive entry. I played this the longest out of all the entries so far. Solid gameplay and wonderful soundtrack.
Very well done.
Solid idea here. Some problems: 1) takes a while before you get you have to click the platform. 2) on the platforms you get a bug where the gnome is apparently not constantly touching the platform so you can't jump.
I think without the jumping issue this could be a very fun game actually.
The mechanic is nicely executed. Not much challenge or to do though. Music would've been nice.
I like this concept, the gameplay is very simplistic really (at least I couldn't figure out many ways to affect the outcome), but I somehow like using the globe surface for war.
Sound is just some noise-explosions, some music would've probably elevated the general feel.
Lastly graphics are very nice and it is very easy to see what is going on, so a plus there.
Not really much to this game. The ending music is nice.
Very nice looking game.
I feel the background parallax is a bit overwhelming though.
There seems to be some slowdown when going to certain parts of a level.
A nice neat platformer with some performance issues.
ah finally some top-down adventuring. Very nicely done, the short fetch quest is fun enough. My only problem was that I initially thought the dark blue pools were walls.
If you added pathfinding to the control mechanic it might be very nice to build on.
The 3d maze is a nice idea. It just doesn't seem to have much meaning in terms of gameplay in this game.
Also rather headache-inducing color choices :D
Very short. Nice visuals, nice mood.
Really like the little story segment screens :)
This actually controls very well. If there were some projectiles to shoot etc. this could be a very fun game.
Atrocious menus.
Not bad. I like the graphics a lot.
The gameplay is very simplistic and you don't really get a sense of skill or strategy mattering much.
The sound is functional and the so is the music, but nothing too special.
But I'd definitely continue working with the nice graphics and concept!
Nicely working mechanics. Graphics are fine. Could've used a bit less brutal difficulty level at the start.
Fun mechanic. This could've used some effects, music and perhaps some secondary gameplay elements.
No idea what is happening or why :)
Woo, quite possibly my favourite game so far. Looks great, plays great and there is really good sense of fast gameplay here.
I also like how you very intuively present all the mechanics and variables during the game. This is the right way of doing a tutorial :)
This would be even more brilliant with some sound and frantic music. You should definitely continue working on it.
That was kind of cool, if really short.
I really liked how the game was revealing itself, but then it..stopped :D Next time less kittens, more levels.
Very short game. Kind of hard to figure out whats the point, maybe that is the point?
Crisp graphics, clear objective. Some of the graphics can be a bit eyestraining though. Jumping is also very very quick, by which i mean the character gets shot up and lands very fast, maybe add some hang time in there?
Nice how you changed the basic game by putting some backstory and context in it. I actually found the familiar gameplay more engaging because of that.
Very nice graphics. Gameplay does indeed take its time, but the controls work fine and the enemies are nicely tuned to your abilities. Good effort.
Nice looking graphics. I also didn't build a town center at first, and kept wondering why is nothing moving :D
Haha, awesome. Very lovely art style, definitely the highest point of the entry. Not a game so much, but it was great fun anyway :)
Clever and really playable puzzle game.
There are lots of puzzle games in LDs usually and only few are fun to play. This is one of them.
Extremely difficult straight from the start :D
I think I liked the art in the intro better than the actual game.
Not a bad topdown shooter engine. I think bullets and enemy reactions to shooting could be a bit more "substantial" if you know what I mean.
Also music would've been very nice in a game like this :)
I have to say I can see a great game here if more time was used to develop it :) I like these sort of things with multiple aspects to them.
Graphics are also very nice and fit well together.
Definite wow-moment was when the wind suddenly ceased and I couldn't move :D
Really nice graphics and subtle use of sound. Story was realized really well and the cutscenes were a definite highlight.
Unfortunately the floaty movement combined with constant jumping levels turned me off from the nice presentation.
Merciless barrage of enemies and red bullets makes this a very challenging game. The crew-banter is absolutely hilarious though and it kept me entertained even when the gameplay quite didn't ;)
All in all very nice design and overall presentation in a game that will probably benefit from some balance fixing and enemy diversification.
Very tough first level. But judging from the screenshots and description there is some variation which is always a good thing :)
Wonderful. This kept me playing for a lot longer than I anticipated. Story is deliciously mysterious and the mechanics and aesthetics feel otherwordly and original.
Gameplay is not quite as perfect, but it works well enough to make this a very recommendable and full experience.
Great job.
Slightly disjointed graphics, though the 3d is kind of cool.
Gameplay works well enough, but it is quite a short game :)
All the forest burned and urban development got completely out of hand. A simulator indeed.
Delightful and complete graphics, competent audio department.
It is a shame that the gameplay doesn't quite match these strong suits.
But still definitely one of the most awesome looking things around in this jam.
I first tried keyboard control, that was weird but mouse control works well enough. I'd wish though the worm would retain the velocity so you wouldn't have to hold the mouse key constantly :)
There were enough different creatures and I liked the way the world (unexpectedly) got darker and the monsters bigger when you started wandering outwards.
Nice job.
Well this kind of game is all about watching what do the creatures do, and your creatures do quite interesting things.
Well done.
Nice presentation and idea. Some issues of polish:
movement and jumping stay sluggish and floaty even after upgrades,
enemies don't have a warning animation when they pop back up (they do in the game you're homaging to ;)).
And music would've made it a bit more fun when the session gets longer.
Otherwise nice execution.
Very clunky controls in a game that would otherwise be rather okay.
This was fun. I usually hate mouse-based movement control schemes, but this one I actually liked!
The basic game idea does seem indeed very good and worth carrying on.
Very nice graphical presentation and more over all the stats are easy to read. The game concept is interesting, but of course not very realized with the missing AI.
I think this could also work really well as a real board game/ccg.
Finally some extra points from the nice a fitting music :)
The initial moments are intriguing when you start working out the mechanics. Uncovering the world block by block. This is one of those gameplay mechanics that relies on very basic human emotions for discovery, which is cool.
I have to say I would've liked a crosshair, and perhaps you could've arranged a bit more rewards near the start as the world kind of felt sparse when I had spent all my gems.
Good job.
Okay that was confusing. Nice enough graphics, the action is completely chaotic and gameplay objectives questionable :D
Close brush, I called my entry 'Super Charles Darwin' :D
Fortunately though we have taken quite opposite approaches to the subject matter.
I'll get the few criticisms out of the way: the jumping is oddly floaty and it feels very hard to avoid enemies or kill them with the very short ranged cane.
Now the design is wonderful all around. All the environments, enemies and items are absolutely lovely.
The music and sound effects are also totally fitting and the game stays interesting for quite some time.
Great job here!
Indeed very short, but also sets a very nice mood.
If there was some more gameplay this would be among top games I've played.
For now it is a very nice visual and audio experience :)
Mood points acquired.
Funny game. Plenty of different objects. Gameplay is of course quite open ended, but the activity feels fun and there are some things to be found and solved :)
Good game.
What the hell did I just play?:D
Strange, glitchy just like an unlicensed console game of yore.
Yet somehow very amusing and filling its place.
I awarded you some mood points as there is something very nice about the minimalistic music and just having the little sound collecting the dna pieces.
I guess the presentation juxtaposes calmness with the urgency of a runner-game. Very nice.
Funny, heard the same song in another entry :)
Interesting way to present the evolution/creation idea.
I find the art pretty enjoyable, animation is also very smooth and pleasent. Too bad for the extremely short game. Reminded me a bit about old DOS adventure games like Hugo.
Weird game. Visuals and audio are quite disturbing which is a good thing. Control feels a bit off, occasionally my character would dash backwards instead of forward.
Intense.
Jumping puzzles aren't my cup of tea. But the way this game is realized is very appealing still. I feel like there is a lot of story and gameplay at the same time which is always a good thing.
Very cool concept. And it works perfectly too.
This is among the highlights of plays with this LD batch :)
If you add some sound to this it will be about 100x more awesome.
Nice combination of sound and visuals, a bit of a dark tone I like.
Don't really know how you evolve as you go along since I didn't during the first few levels, but even so a good demonstration of a core mechanic :)
Played it through. I really enjoyed the way your AI behaves, it seemed very lively and often comical :D
Good job.
Pretty fun game. Feels genuinely retro as in that the controls are crips and the game is very easy to play and understand.
Some enemy variation would've made me play a bit longer.
Upgrades were nice and the xp levels short enough.
I like the music track.
Very nice game. Visual style feels completely thought out and polished. Suitably hard puzzles, but nice quick pacing from one stage to another. This would definitely be very interesting as a more complete game.
Rather horrible premise :D Gameplay works and cast resistance is simulated, but nothing really comes after.
I like the destructable scenery. The visuals and non-floored numbers give it a very debuggey feeling though :D
Graphics are very nice and look polished.
The intro text is quite frustrating because it keeps stopping you an scrolls quite slow :P
Music would've been a very welcome addition.
Looks like you managed to make a lot of different minigames.
Unfortunately the breakout plays so slow for me I couldn't bring myself to complete it.
Also pong has some collision detection bugs on the edge of the paddle.
Transistion are cool though.
Nice puzzle game. Also got stuck on era of changing.
There is something very positive about the visuals and music to make the experience fun though.
Your visual style makes me smile. The game looks fun and charming. Pretty good gameplay too, just a bit onesided only having the rocks falling constantly.
High audio points, very nice tracks. Also good storytelling, it felt like time actually passing through the game.
Gameplay wasn't perhaps so strong, slightly too big levels vs. slow movement.
Some spins on the game of life. Presentation is clear and the additional mode(s) is quite interesting.
Is it a game though, probably not, but still well done.
Interesting idea with the shooting/losing health tradeoff.
Played to level 4, then it crashed with this
"Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'pos' of undefined "
Sound effects were good, music sadly missing.
Haha the sound work on this is awesome. I also like how the hitbox with the bubbles is a bit generous rather than too small.
A suggestion also: since the player will mostly shoot 1 bubble at a time, why not have it break on the 2nd click rather than another button?
What did I just play?:D I think I mainly scored this one based on the background theme playing.
I really like the underlying idea in this game.
In the game itself I think it would be hard to tell the changes happening as you play, if you didn't know.
Also more punch in the gun effects please :D
Liked it. The idea of exploring other planets and spreading out is very exciting.
I did find the gameplay a bit slow-paced after getting the initial buildings up. That combined with the fact there is no sound or anything "secondary" to do makes it a bit too slow game for me.
But other than that, cool idea and a nice game.
Very fun entry! Very slick presentation and intuitive gameplay. Audio nerdism: the rhythm patterns could be a bit more complex, also your shooting sound has that boomey longish attack which makes me want to time it to the peak rather than the beginning of the sample, thus making me off from the game's sync :)
Cool game.
Movement is very sluggish and makes the game not as fun as it should be. Nice idea with the player character representation.
Chaotic but kinda fun. Gameplay gets quite repetitive after a while. Nice presentation.
Population graph was a nice touch. Messages could have a little bit of buffer/log so you could see a bit of last few events.
Very slow game with not much for the player to do, still kind of appealing.
Evolving space invaders seems to be the emergent genre in this LD :D
This among the better ones though. Sound is bringing a lot to the feel in this. Suggestions I'd have include making it keyboard controlled, also combos don't seem to have a timeout so you can score combo hits quite far apart :)
The central idea does have the advantage of turning the platformer movement itself into a kind of puzzle.
It would just need some balancing because now it is very easy to get stuck with no options.
Not bad graphics, clear GUI and there is actually some sound.
Gameplay unfortunately is horribly repetitive.
I really like your art style and theme with this.
Gameplay feels kinda clunky and there doesn't seem to be many things to do.
However the art is really quite wonderful, keep it up with your main game.
Pinball with the targets appearing on the screen. There is something to the underlying idea here, but the constant flow of balls kind of robs it of much tension or excitement.
Sound in a game like this would be very good :)
Nice moody puzzle game. I have to say I don't get why spikes don't hurt you from the right side in the first level.
Also the control is a bit sluggish and floaty for my tastes.
Very nice presentation and nicely unanticipated gameplay though.
Cool game. I like how you can feel your character getting more powerful as the game progresses. Very playable and offers quite a bit of depth :)
Nice different looking visuals you have.
Good number of different sea creatures and movement patterns make the sea feel quite alive.
As someone said in the comments an indication of what fish you should eat would be helpful, or at least some feedback on that.
Nice game once I got it working. For some reason the first time It didn't connect and I was perplexed because the coins etc. didn't update. The disconnect warning is perhaps a bit too small ;)
Otherwise very nice idea and it sort of builds the gameplay on its own.
Music and sfx is also very nice.
I awarded you some humor points for the name :D
Not much to be said about the game, you are a stick that gets thicker..wait that doesn't sound good either ;P
Such a weird game :D Have to say I wasn't quite sure what was I supposed to shoot and when, but I got some combos anyway.
Lack of sound kind of lets it down a bit though.
Weird game. Very hard to figure out the relationships between the actions as there is little indication of what values each state has. Political simulator is an original genre though ^^
Surprisingly engaging considering there aren't really gfx or sound and you just click buttons :D
Also it is fun to have something that connects different play sessions together.
Good writing. Compact, descriptive, yet setting a definite mood without forgetting some humour!
It is funny, I can sort of see a visual game playing out while I'm reading it :D
Nice graphics, suitable music and snappy controls.
Very nice. The only problem I had was that sometimes when you want to drag something to the core it instead gets flung through it to the other side.
I liked the stalking mechanism. Presentation is also very good. I think the game might work even better if there was some more area to roam in and try to find food.
Good job.
Nice clear presentation. No sound ( I like sounds).
The gameplay mechanic is a bit tedious because you have to always move around the tile you want to move.
Nicely tied together the idea of upgrades and collecting things.
Boss fight has also very nice logic to it.
Twist on tower defense. Your GUI is very clean and easy to understand so I liked this more than most other TD games I've played here so far.
I do feel the evolved towers could have different graphics to differentiate them, also some more animations etc. would not hurt.
Very nice graphics, visual effects and generally well presented.
Enemy variation was also very good, and I liked their behaviour.
The player weapon wasn't very fun and I would've enjoyed it a lot more with some upgrades.
Having some love2d experience myself it is weird that such a game would have excessive loading times and almost crash when loading the game, so probably some issues to sort out there.
On the whole, very nice job.
Graphics are very nice and the music bit sounds very classic to me :)
Also some nice level design ideas in the short time it lasts.
Presentation is nice all around. I like magnifying glass effect. It is a bit hard to figure out what to do and even with reading the explanation I found it hard to control the objects.
Kinda like distilling the space shooter to its bare essentials here.
Once I figured out the upgrades the idea became clear and I had quite a bit of fun playing. Little visual touches also make the experience very nice.
Excellent little game! Very polished and well thoughtout visuals. I was very easy to figure out what to do.
Sound is also supporting the action perfectly.
Don't know how extensive an idea like this can be developed, but the base available here sure is nice :)
Good job.
Absolutely lovely visuals. Music compliments them very nicely also. This feels like a genuine 16-bit game, which is very impressive.
I had a problem that even a single keypress would be mostly registered as 2, so I couldn't hit the small platforms.
Now this is a good example how to get a really nice visual style with very simple elements. I especially like the player character animation.
Also in the future please make it so that holding a key will also move as tapping a single key constantly just to move one direction is kind of dull.
Nice functional presentation. I like the music piece.
Controls are a bit confusing at first and the movement is perhaps a bit too quick being that you die very easily :)
Very nice graphics, especially the little touches like slight parallax scrolling and the grass moving :)
Audio is also fitting and nice.
Movement feels a bit non-physical. Some reactions to the hits, like being thrown back etc. would make it feel a bit more 'solid'
Good jon.
Played the browser version. Very oldschool gfx and at least in the browser version very squinty. Quite enjoyable mechanics and controls. Well done.
Competent graphics and sound. The gameplay remained a mystery to me even after reading the description :D
I couldn't for my life figure out how to eat something. Just kept dying.
Looks well enough, but unfortunately runs way too fast for me (probably not using dt for movement calculations).
Original art style. Nicely presented from the GUI to all the animations and sound.
Gameplay is confusing because there are so many poggles and you're not sure as a player what is helping your objective :D
Wat. Also nice theme!
Really liked the multiple traits available. Game also looks very good and solid.
Collisions in gameplay sometimes feel a bit off and there should be a bit longer period of invincibility after hitting an enemy. Now you often hit many enemies in a row and the screen is just blinking and you're being thrown around.
Good job otherwise.
Nice style. Took me a moment to figure out how the gameplay works.
Also nice arcade-type sound here. Feels like a proper game with some depth to it :)
Well I sure have never played such a game before.
What can be said? Nice GUI, not really much game here due to the lacking features :)
Very nice! The concept is very cool and everything looks and sounds proper.
The only criticism I have is that the gameplay isn't as sharp as it could be, since at the start there is mass of bullets coming at you, but you can also shoot the bullets it is kind of easy/random.
Nicely put together game. I would recommend putting the firing key on the keyboard as the left mouse gets a bit straining since you are shooting all the time.
I have to say a mood was imparted on me. My dog didn't run away, I just followed it around and kept making smiling faces.
Good time.
Ah someone made it all the way through :D
Good on you and yeah I wanted the boss to be something special for the few who make it that far!
I have basically only nice/awesome things to say about ImpactJS (and the author too). Definitely worth the price, at least if you plan on making tilemap based games.
I just have to respond to that: I think the movement in Super Meat Boy is quite awful and floaty :P
But tuning character movement is definitely a job longer than what 72 hours allows.
Made it through some levels but then suddenly a glitch(?) dropped me through the floor.
I actually like the way the abilities improve upon succesful usage, you can get some nice puzzles from that.
Basic tower defense game.
Graphical and audio presentation were nice, and there was definitely some strategy to buying the towers.
The tower effects themselves could've been more satisfying though.
The concept is nice and basic controls work okay.
I think the issues are mostly in presentation eg. I'd like there to be more visual feedback from destroying things.
Audio would've been nice too.
Worked well enough. Visuals are crisp and easy to understand.
Level design could do with some improvements, some of the traps are positioned so that the invaders are hardly affected by them.
Funny how this game shares a lot of features with mine, but we still took a very different approach to gameplay :)
Nice graphics and easy to understand gameplay.
The guards seem to glitch (when coming into contact with blood?) and disappear momentarily though.
Good solid controls, I like the fact you need to avoid the falling trees, it is a nice secondary mechanic.
Simple and everything works well, solid entry.
Very weird game. Original funny visual style, strange collisions.
Nice song, nice goat :D Not happened in that game.
Graphics look very nice, I like the animation details. Gameplay is very simple. I find it a bit frustrating though that sometimes clicking the flame trap will register for the pinball paddles instead, kind of ruining the intended fast reactions gameplay.
Nice setup for what could be an interesting story. The stealth ability is visualized very nicely. Unfortunately there in also lies a problem, the ability saps so quickly I found it extremely hard to pass the guards an it made give up eventually. Little more difficulty tweaking and I'm sure it would be a lovely game.
Excellent visuals as I'm sure has been stated many times before.
Gameplay is quite punishing and the jumping feels a bit inprecise either due to physics or gfx not cueing exactly where the platforms should be.
Per rules didn't rate music, but I'm fine with the minimalist wind, suits the game. Bigger minus is the lack of any sound effects.
Good on you to acknowledge the issue with the gfx in your post :) Gameplay was actually very good and I enjoyed it, had there been sound I would've rated it higher.
Nice concept, nicely done graphics. Gameplay is a bit simple, though amusing :)
Score 2270.
Very creative approach and kind of engaging to play.
Music is extremely repetitive but somehow it went with the mood :D This had somehow a very good feeling apocalypse to it.
Excellent graphics and seems to play pretty solid too. Liking the speech bubbles and other little touches.
Gameplays has issues in being a bit too hard and simplistics, some sort of secondary mechanic to shooting would've been nice. Also no audio is a shame in such a nice looking game.
Graphics are nice. The turrets do seem to nearly always hit the units and having little control over anything makes the gameplay a bit too simplistics.
Also it would be nice if you could win the game :D
Very simple tower defense game. That said, I do like the theme and generally the game has a nice mood about it.
Music is also very good.
Mechanic gets a bit repetitive and there is not really much to do apart from killing bunnies. Music and graphics are functional.
Very good graphics and lots of fun touches.
Overall lags for me and the bag throwing seems very unresponsive with mouse control.
Excellent character design, the title screen looks very attractive and interesting. Gameplay has some problems, the mouse control just makes you want this to be a keyboard/gamepad controlled game and the combat also feels less than what it could be.
With some gameplay rethinks and balances there are assets here to make a very nice game :)
3rd lumberjack-themed game I've come across, I guess they must be evil :D
Gameplay is very entertaining and satisfying. Graphics are ok and sound effects too. The only thing lacking is some good fighting music.
Very nice visual effects which unfortunately come with a huge performance penalty, I got around 9fps average.
Game mechanic is interesting and the controls do work quite well. Shame for the lack of audio.
I liked background music and there are some nice visual touches here too.
The physics of the controls - in particular how your space invader slides around - were a bit off putting.
Also there is not really very much to the gameplay (but then again, is there in space invaders either?).
Creative use of the theme. Graphics are nice and there is sound, so no complaints there :)
Jumping feels a bit floaty which makes hitting platforms perhaps harder than it should be.
A reversal on a familiar game. The visuals are fun, didn't hear any sounds though. What could make this better, would be to have an indicator what type the next car will be. Now with the random speeds it feels more like a luck, rather than a skill game.
My goat flew far..far away :D
Well, I like the goat, the controls are very glitchy.
Impressive rich environment with a lot going on without too much slowdown, very nice.
The mouse wiggling mechanic does get old really fast, just give us good old button for some candy-cane-to-the-face action :D
Also there doesn't seem to be any larger objective at play, which is a shame.
Anyhow solid impressive work on the presentation
This was funny, not a game, but funny :D
Nice visuals, the wall jumping feels a bit random here and there, took me a while to figure out the down arrow thing too.
I especially liked visualizing the countdown with the troops moving in the background layer, nice touch.
Basic working mechanics, floaty jumping. Nice enough graphics and the enemy patterns bring a bit of liveliness to the proceedings.
The collision with the people feels a bit random and the level transistion is extremely abrupt, but those are the only complaints I can think of :)
Hard to rate this game. Presentation is excellent, UI works nice and information in terms of the monsters and traps is very clear. However the information as to the actual game objective is a bit obscure and you have to read the description on the ld page a few times to get what is going on.
Simple clever concept with lots of possibilities, I like it :)
Visuals are fine, the soundtrack gets a bit aggravating after a while, but that is pretty much the only problem for me.
Nice presentation. The well done animations give individual character to both the knights and the monsters and it feels like your choices matter, which is good.
Perhaps some long range units or more varied terrain would enhance the gameplay a bit more.
Very entertaining, played this a good while :)
The music and cheesy gameshow dialogue are both spot on and the combinations and death images are very fun and creative. Great job.
Controls work well so the jumping is quite fun. Oddly though if I run fast the framerate starts to drop a lot, but calms down if I move slower. Something is generated on the fly and not quite keeping up I guess?
Graphics are nice and there is some pleasent effort in the transistions from the start screen and between levels.
The controls and jumping could've used some more tuning I think.
Also I didn't really feel like a villain as such, maybe the objectives should be more about plundering treasure etc.?
Lovely cover art pumped the mood nicely.
The game looks and sounds quite nice.
Gameplay is a bit too shallow to be interesting.
It is interesting to see how different classics work reversed. This one works pretty well.
Lovely looking game (apart from the glitches). The combat feels nice enough and I'm liking the minimalist sound approach.
Interesting mechanic, actually works quite well.
The difficulty seems to be pretty punishing :)
First off I really like the visuals and the gameplay feel of the "alternate" world. The regular world gameplay is a bit too slow and also the hitboxes are a bit too unforgiving (you get killed by bullets you'd think wouldn't hit you).
Other than that it is a solid entry and the alternate world gameplay is great :)
Already encountered a couple variations of this mechanic, but yours is quite nicely implemented. I liked the minimalistic sound.
After the grueling final hours of my own LD push, this was quite possibly the best thing I could have played. A nice relaxing game about connecting stars.
The audio is really soothing.
Very squinty screen mode for 1080p users :D Oldschool and minimalistic, I really like the style of the graphics.
Also the game has a very creepy mood, which I like!
Really hard! Very cool graphics and sound though, something wonderfully offbeat about the whole thing.
Very nicely done game. Played with a gamepad, and it felt really responsive and all the mechanics work really well :)
The game also has a nice very mood as the result of the design and audio.
Very impressive ingame systems you have going on. It takes a while to figure out things, and there are things that could be streamlined (such as only displaying import/export for things you have available). No audio, which is a shame, but a nice entry nevertheless :)
Click things and numbers get bigger :D I would've liked to see some visual representation of for example the satellites and other spoils you ruin your wrist for in this game.
Very polished work. The mechanic is very clever. The only criticism I can think of is that sometimes you leap into enemies because the camera follows you a bit high.
It does happen in space and there are worlds, so everything as advertised. Gameplay I can characterize best as "being there", and the game closing itself upon game over creates a poignant end. Music is nice.
Very polished and really fun arcade game. I think it is quite challenging to do a varied an interesting single screen game, but this one uses the available space really well.
Wow that was weird. Weird game with glitchy walls and a lot of mental patients. For some reason the intro with its stoic silence and long cuts reminds me of some old cartoons :D
Firstly, very nicely done with the game. It looks and sounds like a game that had more effort than 72hrs put into it. The graphics are a bit disorientating at first, but they do look very cool.
Mechnically I find it is a bit hard to estimate how to dodge projectiles and how to shoot enemies which made the game unnecesserily hard. I think you'd do well fine tuning the combat a little bit post-jam, because otherwise it is great stuff!
Oh wow this is buggy :D But in such authentic and retro way! This game instantly transported my thoughts to NES games. I actually think the jumping physics feel kinda great if it didn't lead you softlocking the game all the time.
Wat :D I'm confused, it is like a text adventure with planets..and something. Definitely original!
Couldn't run it:

Cool little game! I like the basic idea and playing against just AI was fun. The visual transistions are really nicely done and give a lot of character to the game.
Didn't have a friend at hand, but your game is so nicely polished I wanted to rate it anyway :) It is a nice compact idea and everything fits together really well. Particulary I like those spell effects, they're gorgeous.
Also your tutorial was very informative, but brief, just perfect.
Graphics look very nice and the music works out well. It is unusual having 2 different jumps as the main mechanic for the character, but you did a good enough job of designing your level around it. Sound effects would've been nice.
It is a good start. Basic mechanic works well with platforming and the visuals look nice. Some sound would've been nice :) But for a first LD very well done.
I climbed the mountain range! I had a fair bit of fun with this game, many things to do and explore. I really love how the sea and weather look in this. I think this has high potential to become something more!
By now I've played quite a few of these games where 1 level is really 2 levels. This one however is presented in a very solid manner. I like the character design and the general feel of the environments. Music and sound effects work very well too.
However I do have a big gripe with the controls. Having the switch key be "up" is making this game harder than it needs to be I think :)
Graphics and effects are cool, and actually feel thought out, rather than slapped on. Gameplay is a bit boring as the enemy patterns don't really get all that challenging even when the game goes on. Music would've suited this kind of game very well too.
I like the visual theme. Also adding the melee attack provides some variety to gameplay. Hit detection seems a bit off, sometimes I wasn't sure why I died.
Short game. Mechanics work well and the visual presentation is nice and clean. Background music fits well in it too.
Solid oldschool rpg. Lots of content you've gotten in, very impressive. Some criticism on how walky the game is. Like for example after finding the catapult, it'd be nice if you got teleported to the village or otherwise a quicker route there.
Wow, that hurt my brain. Level design is really good and I think you explore your basic mechanic very well. The control is really hard internalize, it is a matter of taste if it should be easier or not I think.
One small criticism about UI design, have the prompts advance with space, since space is already used in-game, and return has no other function :)
Certainly not bad for a first try :) I enjoyed the pixel art, even if the gameplay itself is a bit thin.
Coincidence or not, I remember a very similar scenario from Nes Remix on the Wii U ;) The sound effect definitely evokes memories.
Flying is hard :D But it feels realistic, so that is a good thing. Everything looks and sounds like it should, so presentation is nice too. Solid game.
I'll confess I didn't have a second player to test this with. However I wanted to rate it, because I think it is a cool game :)
I really like how you've mashed up a puzzle game and a sim-style game in this. It also works very well with the theme.
Graphics look very nice. All I was missing was some music to create some urgency in the setting.
Very nice!
Cool idea. It is a bit hard reading the tutorial while the game is already going, but once you get the hang of it it seems like there could be a lot of depth to this.
Minimalistic visual and audio presentation do the job.
Really liked this one. I think it has potential for a full game. The concept is very original and fits the theme too!
You also have nicelt changing visuals and music throughout the game. Great job :)
Props for you on making the engine from scratch. Movement feels very weird as the startup to the character actually moving is quite lengthy. One also gets very easily stuck in walls (you can also traverse within walls I noticed).
However the art is nice and building this from scratch is no small effort. I'm sure you learned a lot :)
I liked this very much. Simple concept, but strong level design makes it interesting. When you get to level 3 the game starts to show its potential :)
Having to click 'retry' is bit of annoyance since the game is otherwise played from keyboard.
Nice!
Lovely intro with nice pacing and humour. Unfortunately the game itself isn't really fun. However the graphics looks quite nice and I think some audio this could've had a very nice atmosphere.
What it says on the tin. I think at least a bit of interactivity would've been nice. Also the visuals could've been more interesting, they did get better towards the end though. Audio and writing worked very well and I feel the story was got conveyed well.
Interesting.
Good base mechanic and you get into the game in seconds. Nice little game.
The core mechanic works well with the theme.
I think this should've been split into smaller levels, at least starting with simpler ones. Now the size of the world is a bit overwhelming and doesn't contribute to the fun of the game. Jumping mechanic is interesting, but a bit hard to get hold of :)
This game you can clearly play a lot of ways. I'm too impatient for it and just race over the edge :D
Nicely done visuals and audio, and the control feels solid.
Good job.
Very stylish graphics and audio in a game that has not a very subtle message :D Gameplay is a bit bland maybe, but the mood makes it worthwhile to experience.
Gardening simulator is not what I thought I'd find in the jam :D Not much can be said about it. Everything works as you'd expect.
Really nice little game. Mechanic works well, the game sounds and looks nice. It is not even that it is too short, but that it lacks one challenging puzzle from the mix, I think.
Very solid effort.
Very nice :) Graphics look really nice and there's a lot of effort put into having different buildings and bonuses available. The audio track is also very pleasing and the sound effects are funny :)
Only thing I'd change is the missile warning being displayed on top of the building descriptions :)
I couldn't get past the switches :D Production wise everything is really nicely polished and there's a ton of work clearly gone into this.
The concept is certainly original. I like the basic mechanics of the game and the voice acting was really great.
The actual objective of the game and what the different buildings mean don't really come across from the gameplay alone though.
Played the unconventional mode. The music and setting combined create a really strange atmosphere for this game, I like it.
I also liked the timer mechanics with the win condition and getting infected. Despite the very barren presentation everything is actually pretty easy to understand.
Engine is not bad :)
Nice game with diverse weapon options. It was fun retrying the game just to try out all the weapons :) Graphics are nice and music & sfx are clearly thought out for the game, so good job on that too.
This is a fun spin on tower defense, that has a nice mix of reflex and strategy. The animations and sounds are a big bonus, as they make the gameplay really satisfying.
Missing some music :)
I enjoyed this entry. The graphics and music aspect is very well done and it appears a lot of effort was put into it sounding like actual music :) One obvious problem with the gameplay programming is that enemies keep spawning even as you respawn, so dying results in enemies swamping the whole level quite quickly :) Good effort!
Neat concept :) You also have a lot of very advanced mechanics in the game that make it quite interesting. I think the gameplay however isn't quite as fun as it could be with all the possibilities available.
Also would've loved some audio :)
TIL: ninjas are deadly even if a bad case of epilepsy should befall them.
Ah, slow movement combined with inertia of a small planet :D
Despite the "shortcomings", I think I got the spirit of the game. The standout is easily the score, which possesses just the right kind of dramatic banality to go with every scene of sand throwing -based carnage this game has to offer.
Really good production values here. Visuals & sound work really well and it feels like a polished game.
Mechnically the game is a bit bland and seems to mostly amount to clicking really fast.
Still, very nice effort and with some more work on the mechanic it could be a great game :)
Graphics looks good and the mechanic works, but like you said the game is not quite finished so there is only so much to play here :)
Excellent stuff. Really nice use of a simple 3d and characters to build genuine atmosphere :)
I also liked how in the story the combat suddenly just erupts as you're still getting into grips with the game.
Lots of mood points for that!
Definitely an unconventional weapon in this one :)
Animations are super pretty and the game in general has a lovely style and setting.
I noticed some hit detection bugs with the carpets where it wouldn't launch a wave despite standing on what I thought was the right spot.
Also while I commend you for having music, it does get on the ears a bit after a while :D
Good game.
Tower defense with an interesting mechanic :)
The game seems pretty easy going in terms of difficulty, but I could see the mechanic could be developed as flying enemies were introduced.
I think you should work more on this concept, since there are plenty of interesting directions to take this.
Encountered the same startup bug as many other commenters, the use of numbers keys could've also been explained a bit better :D
However I find that the mechanic is actually quite nice and visually everything runs silky-smooth. I think a bit more time is what this game needs.
This is a really neat concept and I really like how you combined the line-following mechanic with some rpg elements.
This is the kind of game I find really inspiring, because it is looking at things from a slightly different angle :)
Also your game mechanics did a good job of explaining themselves as they appeared and everything felt very natural and fluid, which is a very good achievement!
What can I say, basic platforming. Nothing wrong with that, mechnically pretty good and there was some solid gameplay on display.
Good job!
Spread gun! First space shooter I've played this LD. Nicely done and there's actually a bit of more to it than just holding down the shoot button.
Technically the game seems to run great despite the high numbers of bullets flying around, which is very important in a game like this.
Would've really loved to have music to go with the blasting though!
Wonderfully simple mechanic, skillfully expanded through what seems to be a rather large number of levels!
The visuals are crisp and the audio is carefully thought out create a specific mood and setting for this game.
I played this by far the longest time among the entries I've rated this time :)
The mechanic is really interesting. I think there could be a bit more inertia with the mouse following as now your position moves reaaally fast and most of the time I didn't even see the bullets that hit me.
Very nice looking entry :) I think the premise, mechanic and art style play nicely together for an effective experience.
Rather innovative idea and interesting setting. The execution is very minimalistic and I think it could use a bit better indicators on what is actually happening, but definitely interesting little game.
Obviously it is not quite done, but you can walk right and what not, so there's that :D
Interesting entry. Took me a while to get it working before I realized pasting the sample program in the textarea adds whitespace at line endings, which makes the execution fail.
So maybe trim your input and it is bit easier to get into.
Extra points for the theme approriate gfx :)
It is a very brief game. I noticed that when the screen transition happens the character stops moving towards the mouse, so there's probably a bug worth fixing :)
The characters are pretty original and game is winnable, so good job.
Very solid entry! It looks and sounds very polished, and you've managed to make the mechanics intuitive without much text explanation. Very good!
The only downside I can see is that the game runs a bit slow and also for me the web version suddenly just booted back to the main menu for no apparent reason(maybe I died?).
All in all very nice entry and one of the most complete I've played, despite some technical problems :)
There's a certain era of 90s platformer, this game instantly reminds me of. The graphics, the FM-style music and gameplay could be from an obscure SNES game, which is a compliment :)
Game is quite punishingly hard, but the controls do work really well. The only thing I wish for really is that there would be more exploration as the jetpack mechanic is very suited for trying to find new things.
Very nice!
Interesting mechanic with strong visual & audio feedback, which is very nice design.
Nice idea and clearly you wanted to make a bit deeper rhythm system. One issue though is that this game is awfully confusing with a non-US keyboard like mine :D
Text adventures come down to the writing, and I think there's a few issus here for me. I think I personally would prefer a bit shorter blobs of text, so there's enough time to take in the setting etc. Secondly it seems there is an awful lot of exposition once things get going.
Also it would've been nice to have at least some background colors adjusted or something to give it a bit more personality :)
Nice looking game that has a couple of execution issues with the mechanic :) 1) most of the time when you're in the air you can't see the ground which leads to a lot of unlucky death with enemies/pits. 2) the indicator for when an enemy has been neutralized is not quite strong enough, so sometimes you run into enemies thinking that you have killed them, but have not.
Graphically it is really nice and the meter tells you very clearly what is going on, so that's very good :)
A bit simplistic when it comes to gameplay, but I like the music and the basic concept :)
I like the basic concept, it is very simple but I see a lot of things that could be done with it. Visually the game communicates very clearly and the camera controls are a nice bonus.
What I really missed was any kind of sound though :)
This was so much fun :D Also very realistic since the great nation of Finland netted something like 12 points all put together!
Very hard game. The animations look nice and there is nothing wrong with the fundamentals, but the instant onehit nature of the game makes it a bit less appealing than it should be :)
Very impressive! The weapon has a great feel to it and the design really makes you use it in very interesting ways :)
Graphics look super nice and the background music is fitting and suspenful.
Really impressive work in terms of overall design, supported by wonderful execution.
The parody premise is interesting and it helps that the game visually resembles the reference a lot :) The gameplay could be tuned a bit with better indicators on where the boxes will land, and I experienced some performance hiccups on the webgl version, but otherwise everything looks and sounds fine :)
I liked the controls a lot, I think they'd be a good basis for a longer game. Playwise only thing that bothered me was a lack of direction indicator for the player, which resulted in me throwing bottles in the wrong directions.
Graphics and sound are also nice, so even though the game is very short, there is nothing wrong with the fundamentals here :)
Played the web version. Game is really hard, but I think there is potential in the mechanic at least :)
a 2d zombie rush game that works well :) I found it a bit weird that while you aim with the mouse, shooting is bound on spacebar (where as I'd expect a mouse button).
I think there's also room for improvement with the sfx and music to better suit the "feel" of the game :)
Interesting concet, took me a while to understand what I was supposed to do. I think the mechanic has a lot of potential though and it has been realized very well with the visuals.
The mechanic is nice, but the controls are perhaps a bit fiddly. Also on the second level it is possible to simply fall off the level and then nothing happens :D
The music is fun and the look of the game is great.
Very hard game. Also first play I got stuck in a pit almost instantly :D
I like the notes as weapon, and you've done very ambitious work with the audio and voiceover.
Nice game for a first try. I really got interested reading the description and your inspiration for this game.
Controls are a bit unusual as they have a fair bit of "startup" to them, but I managed to beat the game after a couple of tries.
The self-recorded sounds were also a nice bonus :)
Very strange and difficult game. However I had a lot of fun trying out different strategies to get even a little bit further! Definitely very original.
Very unique concept. Difficult to get hang of at first, but I was able to get it by reading some of the comments. Nice work and nice tunes!
Nice presentation and functional crafting mechanics. Nice music too.
Cool art style and challenging, but rewarding gameplay. It also ties in with the theme in a very nice way!
Graphics are really nice and all the characters have a lot of personality to them, great job on that! The mechanic is interesting, but the pace of the game could be a bit faster for me. However technically and visually very impressive job that you could definitely work on refining some more!
Very nice art style. Gameplay is short and the mechanic is pretty punishing. I think with some polishing this could be a great little game :)
Cool and somewhat creepy concept executed very well! Visuals are especially nice with everything looking very polished and with cool little animations. Similarly the music is surprising, but in a really pleasing way, and really adds a lot to the overall mood. Nice work!
Nice, solidly made game. There is something about isometric graphics like this that just makes you at ease. The UI texts are quite small if improvement ideas are being considered :)
Great atmosphere with so many little details in both visuals and sound. This game transported me somewhere else for a moment, and for that I commend the team :)
I really like the original take on the 2.5D art style. It shows a lot of work went into the different assets and they create a world that is interesting to explore. Also the music is understated butd thoughtful, which is a great thing. The controls are a bit fiddly and the water seems extremely deadly :D
Fun game! Especially love the sound effects work, which you clearly put a lot of work into. The graphics recall classic adventure games and it feels like a world that would be fun to explore more :)
Gorgeous pixel art in a fun game! I particularly love the eating mechanics: smashing space bar to eat bamboo :D. Also humor points went to top with the seemingly neverending toilet flush sample.
Wow, very impressive and complete entry for a jam! Controls feel quite polished and the game is easy and fun to play. Really nice job.
Short but sweet! Graphics and audio are great, and the humorous writing works out (hopefully it can be that way in the final game too). I was only a little dissapointed when the game said it will self-destruct and nothing happened :)
Simple game, but so many enjoyable details. There is something very fun about both the graphics and sound in this game. Absolutely love the enemies with headbands carrying water bottles :D I hope you return to this "world" in some future entry!
Fun concept! I really like art style and there's a lot of variety in the enemy designs. Perhaps the keyboard layout could be given some thought for faster gameplay, and also the game would really benefit from some audio (at least I couldn't hear any?).
Always time for a topdown shooter! It is pretty tough and there are a lot of enemies, but everything works and the companion robot could be developed into more interesting mechanics.
Gorgeous pixel art and lovely music! Crafting isn't my thing, and I could've used a bit of guidance for what to do in the game. However it looks and feels really great so I think it is well worth working at more :)
I remember some of these viruses! Visuals are really smooth and striking! Gameplay lacks a bit in feedback in terms of knowing when you're hitting enemies and they're hitting you. Also audio would've done a lot for this game. Good effort!
Minimalistic gameplay, but it looks good and there is a mood about it.
Classic dungeon crawling! Lots of nice work from the sprite art to the functional mechanics and large world. I think some of the inventory management is a bit complicated (especially in the small window) and it would be great if holding down directional keys would make you move constantly. Nice job though :)
Don't worry about it too much. Not everything works out the first time, and there'll be many more jams to come!
The game is strange and difficult, but really fascinating! Also the graphics are very nice and the wife tossing -mechanic is really fun.
Visuals and audio are really nice! It is a bit difficult to make sense of the game at first, but I think there's a lot of fun ideas going on here and using particles with traditional platforming is very interesting and unique.
Nice work with the visuals and the impressive variety of enemies! I think the mechanic is really interesting and I love the fast pace of the game, but the facing/shooting takes a bit of getting used to. Also would've really loved some sounds/audio to go with the murky depths of the dungeon :)
Leap of faith - the game :D Yeah the platforming is very brutal, but I kind of enjoyed figuring out the levels still. I think there's everything here for a good platforming game, but you could adjust the balance of unfairness a bit if you want.
Very impressive entry! I love the art style and general mood of the world (reminds of Cave Story!). Sound design is also top notch and makes the game feel really complete. I think gameplay wise there could've been some sort of additional element to spice it up, but as it is the purpose of the game is very clear and easy to understand :)
Really nice job! Impressive and detailed visuals that remind of me of Shantae games a lot :) Music is also absolutely great and I like how the unassuming tune keeps building up to new places while it loops. Mechanic is a lot of fun and the throw arcs, speed of the enemies etc. all feel finely adjusted. One of the better entries I've played!
A very full-featured survival game considering the time constraints! Some of the initial crafting requirements could be lowered to make the game a bit more accessible from the start. Also I was killed by a bat.
I really enjoyed this one! The aesthetic is so cool, I would want to play a more expansive game with visuals and a mood like this :)
Nice graphics. Strangely fun to play, it's like a lost game from windows 95 :)
@risingsunz Thanks for playing! The intended mechanic is to have to line yourself up with walls, but I guess it could be better communicated :)
@mamon Thanks for playing! I see what you mean, that's a good idea! :)
@denzil-gomes That's not a bad idea :)
Really enjoyed this! The puffers are fun and zooming out the level is a cool way to do progression. Also lots of nice visuals detail (where can I get eggplant bathroom tiles?).
Nice technology stack! Graphics and audio are very nice.
Slightly difficult to get hang of the mechanics. But the presentation is very nice and the game feels quite polished otherwise!
Interesting theme and nice looking visuals.
Fun game to play! I think the enemy bullets could be a bit brighter to stand out from the floor color, but otherwise really nice job :)
The mechanics were a bit confusing at first, but the presentation is killer. The visuals and audio are really great. It's like a weird mashup of hotline miami and some railway tycoon game :D
I enjoyed this a lot :D
A very nice looking game with interesting mechanics. Impressive amount of content too!
This game is the worst - in the best possible way!
Very cool idea and nice minimal, but effective graphics. Nice job!
Very nice! A nice simple, but polished game that has multiple levels, sound effects and music :)
I had a pleasant experience :)
Great atmosphere. Really liked how the story and mechanics got introduced. You can see a lot of effort went into the visuals and audio in this one!
Very atmospheric and cool game! There's a lot of content given the time constraints and the game really looks really polished. Nice job!
Nice visuals! The gameplay could've used a few more elements.
Simple concept, very nice execution with the graphics and especially the audio. Very nicely done!
Really nice twist on the portal mechanic. I was very fun to play. Also the atmosphere is really nice!
Interesting concept! The jumping seemed a bit buggy for me and also the soundscape is a bit jarring, but the core idea is really very good!
Slightly punishing gameplay, but it plays very smoothly and the audio is nice :)
This was fun to play :) Reminded me of Ghost 'n Goblins series!
The visuals are really polished and I really like art style. There's a lot of variety in gameplay and it's quite a fun game to complete. The music is also really fitting to the game and it really works with the arc of the whole game. Really enjoyable game!
Nice, unique atmosphere. A lot of effort has clearly gone into the writing and I think it is an interesting world to spend a moment in :)
Very nice art, particularly the background is very evocative :) The song is interesting too, I played long enough to hear the whole loop.
Simple puzzle game. Everything works really well, nicely done!
