The Tourist by FunkyDelPueblo 2012-04-23T21:02:00

@ishav, that's really odd. Perhaps try reload/clearing your cache? I used the HTML from the bread game as the base for this page, so it's possible that's a cached version before I changed the content to my LD content.

@Fsmv, I threw the music together using a bunch of preset instruments in Logic

The Tourist by FunkyDelPueblo 2012-04-23T23:14:00

@ishav, @De10ter: figured out the "Gluten Fighter" issue. It was an issue on my part with the HTML code. Should be working now if you want to try again.

The Tourist by FunkyDelPueblo 2012-05-05T17:16:00

@Endurion, my hosting provider had an outage a few days ago, but is back up now.

Asylum by Orni 2012-04-30T00:56:00

Really, really cool. The beginning feels a little long, but once things really get going, they become epic.

Block Bros by HeuGamer 2012-04-23T23:08:00

What I think it really cool about this title is that its essentially a 1-D game: the entire gameplay could be represented by a single line of pixels!

The Little Glitch by Kroltan 2012-04-24T01:36:00

I'm getting a Dropbox 404 for the Web Link.

Tiny Wor ds by BNeutral 2012-04-24T01:56:00

This is completely awesome. Love the concept, love the execution. It get pretty much impossible for me around the 2500-characters left (due to # of birds, lightness of my character). Wish I could have seen what happens when you get to freedom.

Big Atoms by Alink 2012-04-28T15:29:00

Nice physics! The second level's damn near impossible, but I had a lot of fun wedging things out on the first! Some background music would have helped with the mood, too.

Grow! by Rabbits... 2012-04-23T04:21:00

Love the saxophone!

Beyond by ben 2012-04-23T22:57:00

Really dig the geometric terrain style. Exploring is fun, but the controls feel a little sluggish for a game that requires so much precision to collect orbs.

Tiny God : Small Diety, Big Pantheon by Lacutis 2012-04-23T17:50:00

Interesting concept. At times, it did feel a bit like a grind, but a neat "simulation" nonetheless.

Tiny Resolution by ishav 2012-04-27T17:28:00

Had no idea the ducks were enemies, not collectables. Ran right into the first one, and...BAM! I was laughing out loud.

Bacterial World by mneubrand 2012-04-23T05:10:00

Nice job, wonder if you could get schools to use this game to teach children about hygiene :)

Five by Five by eventhandler 2012-05-06T22:53:00

Solid game. Neat to think about, fun... a little bit addicting!

Dude, where's my planet by Zamando 2012-04-28T00:55:00

Graphics are amazing! The mechanic is innovative, but I'm really struggling with it. It just feels fairly awkward for me.

Tiny Eco by Truce 2012-04-24T01:13:00

It would have been helpful to have a better underlying concept of the rules at play. For example, in Conway, even though you can't always imagine the large-scale evolution of a pattern, you can always look locally at one particular space and figure out what's going to happen to it in the next iteration. Right now, I'm just kind of randomly pulling tiles and going on my "knacks" based on your description of the rules above. If the rules were a little more exact, I think that would bring out the "puzzle" aspect of the game more.

Microscopia by azurenimbus 2012-04-24T01:21:00

Really neat concept. There's a microgame in Warioware similar to this, where with a bunch of worms, where you try to identify which one is controlled by you. You took that concept, though, and explored it in a ton of awesome directions. The minimalist graphics were perfect, and got quite hypnotic in the later levels. Awesome game!

boing SMASH by dokidoki 2012-04-27T17:15:00

Fun stuff! Really dug the graphics: the mix of faux-3D and 2D give it a really interesting look, and the mechanics make for a game that's genuinely competitive.

microchip by DiscoFish 2012-04-26T04:42:00

AWESOME graphics, and I love the idea of being stuck in a glitchy universe. I also thought the block-dropping idea was incredibly original. I'd almost like to see ways that mechanic alone could be developed into its own game.

Giant Apple Pie by mmarcati 2012-04-26T04:30:00

Awesome job! Humorous, original, and legitimately challenging. Love it!

Tiny Tiny World by Manik Sinha 2012-04-23T17:54:00

A neat variation on Snake. Liked the way the colors changed throughout play. It would have been nice if there was some sort of "game over" screen after you've "eaten" all the dots.

Stade 2 (Mr.Oizo) by 30dogs 2012-04-24T01:30:00

Awesome look, and neat idea, but your game is too unforgiving for me! I made it about halfway though the "blue" and gave up. I think there's a super-strong core here to continue developing this into an awesome full game!

Fooling Yourself in Moderation by ronsho 2012-04-23T17:43:00

I liked the mood & ambience. A little confused about my goals, but maybe I'm not thinking about it abstractly enough.

Tiny Vessels by xel 2012-04-25T06:20:00

Very touching story. Excellent writing.

Cricket in a Bottle by barcode 2012-04-23T19:37:00

Nice graphics, I especially liked looking at the lab area in the background. I was a little confused as to what my goal with the bubbles is: does something happen when I pop them all? If so, then there are a few that I found to be unpoppable...

On Another Scale by Christian S. 2012-04-23T18:03:00

Awesome mood & ambience. The graphics definitely felt very other-worldly, and the music helped set the tone. A little laggy (even in the desktop version), and I'm not sure if the checkered boxes were designed by you, or if that's a "missing asset" stand-in, but otherwise awesome job.

Delirium by Puccini 2012-04-26T04:33:00

Nice graphics! Interesting mechanic, can't wait to see how you could explore it more.

Cruel space by Stalker_23b 2012-04-30T00:47:00

As everyone's said, awesome graphics! A little music could have really helped with the mood.

T in Y World by Tom 7 2012-04-30T00:30:00

Incredibly innovative. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the way rules work, but a very very clever idea.

TMORPG by goffmog 2012-05-05T17:21:00

This is VERY technically impressive for 48 hours. This seems like a really nice base from which you could develop a neat MMO.

Real War by nuprahtor 2012-04-23T17:40:00

Awesome graphics and look, great mood & feel to the game.

Aether by Danik 2012-04-30T00:20:00

Lots of fun! On its own, the runaway & missile shooting would be sub-par games, but putting them together creates something that's awesome! The "warning" noise when you're about to get hit in the "real world" was a really nice touch, too.

terminus by zillix 2012-04-30T00:38:00

I like that even in such a small game, you've managed to make a number of branching decisions for the user to take. Neat stuff!

Memento XII by deepnight 2012-04-28T00:53:00

Beautiful game. Fantastic.

Hamster Bowling by tfendall 2012-04-29T04:38:00

This was by far the funniest game I have ever played. The visuals, the audio....GAH, this is awesome!!! Probably the most fun I've had playing any game so far!

Scape by intmain 2012-04-24T02:20:00

Awesome puzzler, very addicting, and really makes you think. Made it up to Level 11 before it got to be too much for me. Very impressive.

Tiny Word by bcp 2012-04-28T23:50:00

Interesting concept. I guess I interpreted the game in that no matter what you do, it's impossible to protect the world from stupidity.

Mr Cool by Rialgar 2012-04-28T23:39:00

I like the round levels, very cool to traverse. For a game that depends to much on accurate jumps, the controls are a little sluggish, to the point that it interferes with play a good bit.

Petri-Dish Survival by Rex Peppers 2012-04-29T05:05:00

Really, really tough. Setting back a level when you get hit was very brutal, too. Very rewarding when you complete levels, though!

Imuno by beeglebug 2012-04-28T00:37:00

Awesome concept! Wish it could have gone on longer, but a neat game mechanic.

Out for arrest by Kyatric 2012-04-27T03:16:00

Really dig the graphics and audio on this one!

Pale Blue Dot by KevinWorkman 2012-04-24T01:40:00

Neat concept (Katamari Damacy with with planet earth!) but I found the mouse control to be a bit awkward.

A Super Mario Summary by johanp 2012-04-24T02:07:00

Quite a brilliant idea, and the graphics are a nice play on the Mario graphics. Including the rankings really helps increase motivation to play; without them, the levels would be quite easy.

Our Tiny World by hamburger 2012-04-25T06:01:00

Very neat game. I thought there was a nice translation of the conceptual stuff into gameplay, and was just long enough to explore these as much as possible. Also, I love your interpretation of "Tiny World."

Our Small World by TellusE 2012-04-25T18:27:00

Interesting idea (I liked the concept of Blessing/Punishing) but, like previous comments have said, definitely confusing. With a little time & love, I think there's a basis for a nice sim game in here, though.

Backyard Pirates by bompo 2012-04-25T18:30:00

Awesome graphics, and nice water physics!

Shake it up! by Tommyno222 2012-04-28T15:24:00

Fun little maze game! I did find it frustrating at parts, but I think that indicates a challenging design on your part.

Naos by Sean Hogan (anodyne/even the ocean) 2012-04-29T05:16:00

Incredibly interesting. I really dug the graphics & art, it really contributed to the mood. The music, too. I guess I really dug the atmosphere, is what I'm trying to say. Sort of more an interactive story than "game," but definitely benefits from the "interactive" format.

Tiny Archaeologist by toaster 2012-04-28T23:45:00

I really like the idea of a platformer where the whole world is on the screen at once. I suppose I was squinting a bit to see my character, but that would be expected, wouldn't it? Fun concept, I was wishing you'd do a little more with it.

IÄTI by gnx 2012-04-25T21:21:00

Very interesting mechanic, especially interesting one-button game. Struggled a little bit to get all of the interactions down, but I really dug the concept.

My Tiny Town by hungyg 2012-04-26T04:53:00

Fun game. Tutorial is very helpful. Would have been cool if you could have added some of the stuff you mention; my only other criticism would be that things start off kind of slowly, before things really get rolling.

Trucking the Universe by FrozenCow 2012-04-24T01:08:00

Really awesome mechanic! Something novel, but not outstaying its welcome. The "second part" especially was a lot of fun (with the added pressure). Like some other people have said, a background music track would be nice, but even without, I had a lot of fun.

Pixel Progression by pighead10 2012-04-26T18:46:00

Very interesting concept! I like how much gameplay gets squeezed out of such a simple premise!

ARACHNID by BuffaloPhil 2012-04-23T23:57:00

Neat concept, felt very original. Had a little bit of trouble maneuvering across some of those branches, but overall I thought the controls were pretty good.

Fractality by zaratustra 2012-04-23T14:49:00

Nice. I've seen a few games so far with the "recursive world" concept, but the use of the +/- circles & flags in this one makes you feel that you actually have control over it.

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-25T18:37:00

Interesting game. I was hoping for a little bit more strategy involved--I just kept playing more Productive germs every turn until I had enough for the Boss, and then I won. I think that in the future, addition of more maps to add a more "strategic" component would strengthen this.

Mr. Butter and the Infinite Bread by heitortsergent 2012-04-28T15:17:00

Cute game. Fun little concept.

LD37 — One room

Telepathy Dungeon by NUEBO MUNDO 2016-12-12T23:24:00

A nice challenge, and I love the graphics. That glowing-eyed monster is legit terrifying through when you die.

Hikikomori by WarmLemon 2016-12-30T01:00:00

I like this, it definitely has an art-game feel to it, especially with the quotes on the left of the screen. The graphics are nice too.

Steamjunk Racers Nine Thousand by mmason 2016-12-16T02:36:00

Fun game, very clever world that you've built.

Dad's Cabin by ElysRealm 2016-12-30T00:54:00

Quirky stuff. Like the meta-aspect of it. Way different than anything I've played in the compo so far!

Club Neon by bitzawolf 2016-12-30T01:17:00

Cool graphics style--especially like the trail that follows your character. Was a bit too brutal for me--I only made it to the fourth platform.

Eternal Prison by AntoineDesbiens 2016-12-30T00:39:00

Reminds me of English Country Tune, in a good way. Nice job coming up with 11 unique puzzles on such a simple premise! One thing that would have been nice is an "undo" button (Z) that undoes the previous move only.

Lux Nominem by Stache 2016-12-30T01:24:00

Even though it's a simple game, it has a great mood and feel. I had a great time exploring the small world, and your mixed 2D/3D/parallax is a super neat art direction. The graphic of the lightbulb is super cute too!

LiftOperator 2016 by panu 2016-12-12T23:15:00

Scored 201

I think this concept definitely has potential. I found the controls to be a bit challenging to line everything up perfectly. I also wonder if you continue development, whether you could add levels with different behaviors so that players had more strategy they could develop.

Beat Kitchen by Compton 2016-12-16T02:03:00

There's a surprising amount of fun to be had with such a simple concept. The music ended up working around really well, and it was interesting to play around for a few minutes!

Combine Harvest by brisk 2016-12-16T02:32:00

It reminds me of a minimalist version of a crafting game, in a good way! It's fun discovering the rules of the world for yourself.

INF by jack-lance 2016-12-16T02:52:00

This is a really awesome concept. A great mind-bender (reminds me of calculating your Portals right). I'd really love to see you keep working on this further. Great work--so much fun!

Maze Ball by Ficiu 2017-01-02T20:25:00

Short & sweet, made it in right under the clock :) Nice job for your first entry--I like the concept of traversing a maze and changing it as you go. Keep working with this idea and something cool might come from it!

Hypercell by PixlWalkr 2017-01-02T20:20:00

A nice easy to understand concept, and a simple but effective art style. It might have been nice to use arrow keys instead of the mouse, to feel more in control of my movements. That might help against the frustrating experience where you collide with a virus, but as soon as changing colors a similarly-colored virus collides with you, without giving you a fair chance to avoid it.

Sweet Dreams by abcdef65g 2016-12-30T00:30:00

Fun arena shooter! The motion of the light created a neat effect that fit well with the mood of the game. My only suggestion if you keep working on this is that it is a bit disorienting when you flash after being hit--maybe flash a color instead of on/off? Otherwise, nice game!

Rescape by LukeZaz 2017-01-02T20:45:00

Simple concept. Went through 11 levels, before it became a bit repetitive. The stickman animation is surprisingly effective. I will say that there are some level design issues--specifically areas that are tricky to jump out of due to platforms immediately above other platforms.

Tenement Rush by rjhelms 2017-01-03T01:15:00

Interesting concept, but the tank controls make it challenging to move around. It might be easier if WASD always moved in the corresponding direction, regardless of your character's orientation. The tenement theme is very creative however.

Masquerade by xWarZonex 2016-12-16T02:25:00

Nice twist on "follow the card"

Story in a Room by unnamed1334 2017-01-02T20:36:00

Wow, definitely not what I was expecting! The story got surprisingly interesting and deep really quickly. Reminds me a lot of "7 Days a Skeptic" if you've never played it. I love the direction you're going with the story--clean up the graphics a little bit, add some animations, and this could really be a wonderful thing. Put some more love into the puzzles too--a bit of feedback & clearer directions would have been helpful (thanks for the tips, though!)

Legendary Legionnaire 3 - Food Massacre by banana4life 2016-12-30T00:47:00

I like the graphics style a lot.

Unfinished: A-OK Heist by DragonFyZex 2017-01-02T20:48:00

Nice job making an attempt. Hope you can use what you've learned to practice & make something closer to your vision next LD

Tiny Planet by OnePixelMonster 2016-12-30T16:32:00

Cute game--like the graphics of the planet a lot. And a nice solitary mood. I was a little confused by the food scavenging--is finding food unrelated to the positions of the apples on the map?

Last Call by BulletsArePeopleToo 2016-12-14T04:58:00

"...for some contrived reason." Love it! Graphics are great too.

Speed square by Josho 2016-12-12T23:19:00

Really like how you "build up a level" in real time. You find a nice way to reuse some of the level elements multiple times in different scenarios (31 deaths in 111 btw :)

The Living Room by smaganik 2016-12-16T02:21:00

Wow, this was awesome! Art style was fantastic, but especially I think this game showcases how game aspects like movement controls, camera, and filters can change the entire meaning of a game. Great use of the theme, too!

Home Cat by Feng 2017-01-02T20:16:00

Nice little game. I thought you had some cute little graphics. Adding a little sound might spruce this up to the next level!

Roombat by JD557 2017-01-03T01:19:00

Cute idea, that you need to keep your room dirty. Control scheme could use a little more love, but a nice simple game.

Bump N' Grind by jrag97 2017-01-02T20:11:00

I like the twist on the wave-survival. You make use of the "one room" concept nicely. I also like the 2-color art style you've got going.
