LD22 — Alone

Ennui by Zutty 2011-12-20T10:51:00

I think that the concept of having two different paths if you're "sad" or "happy" it's really good. But it tooks me a while to understand how it works. Maybe you should have some much clear instructions.

Safety 91 by Grungi Ankhfire 2011-12-20T11:48:00

Would you please provide a build for Windows or Web? Otherwise I can't test it.

Void Defender by rubixcuber 2011-12-20T13:02:00

The controls are really choppy and this made the game not fully enjoyable.
The game is really big, and has a lot of potential.
Maybe a little too distance from the theme "Alone"
Overall good, but it could be much better with better controls.

My own footsteps by mcc 2011-12-20T12:53:00

I don't realize which is the objective, but I really fell alone.
The music and the graphics made my head fuzzy after a while..

LEFTalone by Elusive 2011-12-20T11:31:00

I agree that is a regular zombie shooter game but it looks nice and you can improve it by adding really few things like random generation of zombies and medipack (so that it'll not look always the same).
I would have prefer a much darker graphic for the mood "alone".

Alone in Translation by Gareth Jenkins 2011-12-29T08:49:00

Can't vote since I don't have a mac.. a video should do the work.

Dark Forest by blubberquark 2011-12-29T09:08:00

Really good job with the light, in just 48 hours you did a good job.

Wait up guys by pushpork 2011-12-29T09:07:00

I think the real thing missing it's some way to lose the game :)

Blackout by phill99 2011-12-29T09:10:00

Sadly it doesn't work for me too..

Alone with the Shifters by kernel panic 2011-12-29T09:17:00

The idea of the lamp-oil it's good but the controls are not so good, so the game its kinda frustrating.

Zombie City by omarchapa 2011-12-29T09:22:00

Those lego-zombies are cute, at least it's not another shoot-the-zombie game.
By the way I agree with kato9.

Chamber of Remorse by Blinked 2011-12-29T09:31:00

The controls are a little to slow to move in such a big place, good job with the lights. I mush agree with the others, monsters are really difficult to avoid/kill.

Lava Jumper by Skriglitz 2011-12-29T09:35:00

my Fps was about 1500 in all the versions.
Maybe you should relate the speed of the character to the deltaTime from one frame to the other, so it'll work on every machine at the same speed.

Buttercup's Castle by bostelk 2011-12-20T11:01:00

The idea is good, and the realization too
I agree that the mood didn't seem alone..
By the way I overall liked it

walkabout by mramaizng 2011-12-27T08:59:00

Doesn't work for me too :( I try the latest windows 7..

Solitaire of Solitude by Lusmu 2011-12-29T09:40:00

You took the theme and make something really unexpected. Good Job :)

Sokobot by kpullen 2011-12-20T11:36:00

It's just a concept or is missing the download link?

The Lonesome Pixel by Kaslai 2011-12-20T12:56:00

It doesn't work on my machine :(
win7 says missing lib: zlib1.dll

NightEscape by brus46 2011-12-20T10:44:00

The sounds were planned but I didn't had time to find someone suitable.

For the camera.. when I started the game it was intented to be a really dark game (it's still dark but much less) so I put a really close camera in order to have the light showing something and not only black. Maybe you're right I should have zoomed back before the final release.

LD23 — Tiny World

Just My Immagination by Proch 2012-04-24T11:48:00

Very good, loving the linux support!
The real missing is the sound :(
The concept is good and the realization too. good job!

Petri by Tomalla 2012-04-26T19:15:00

Very nice! So simple so funny!

Electron Cloud by Evilion 2012-04-24T22:31:00

This has been really fun to play with. Actually I got a similar idea some time ago, but you've done it and in a really nice way. Hope you continue the develop

3rd Planet by xillix 2012-04-24T22:53:00

Sorry, couldn't test on linux. Can you provide a video for mac/linux users?

3rd Planet by xillix 2012-04-25T18:55:00

Even if I had to change computer to play this i must admit that's a nice re-interpretation of pong! :D

I Should Clean My Keyboard by cmo7 2012-04-25T18:53:00

My keyboard really need to be cleaned ahah.
I really liked having so many enimies and a cool story. btw someone can find a little boring reading all that story (actually i do love story in games :) )

Hungry Ants by Dew 2012-04-25T19:24:00

It's quite a complex game! (I really like them) and the graphics are good too, i've enjoyed the loading mini-game :)
and.. the youtube video when you close the game ahah! really funny :D

Incredible Impact by dick_claus 2012-04-24T22:56:00

You're running for the humor, am I right? Btw i think that the main idea of sticking cubes with the correct side can be used in a logic game. maybe you should have more cubes in a square with only a free moves per time and you've to stick in the right way two of them. Continue to develop it don't let it go ;)

Zilla the Destroyer by deps 2012-04-24T11:22:00

The screens look really good, too bad it can't run on linux :(
Since it's java can't you make a little build for us?
Btw don't worry I'm going to test it on my home pc later.

Zilla the Destroyer by deps 2012-04-25T19:13:00

I loved the lines art, and then godzilla destroying everything.. well it's an evergreen :D
Not sure of the connection with tiny world btw...

Robots Are Red, Violets Are Blue by David Durham 2012-04-24T12:33:00

This is really really really fun!! Thank you!

When Worlds Collide by AlwaysGeeky 2012-04-23T20:45:00

Very funny! It runs on linux with wine out of the box btw.

Walker by Catman 2012-04-24T07:19:00

I really love this one :D
It's really addicting, please continue developing it!
Since you did it in unity you can aim to publish it for mobile, that would be really interesting!

The Tiny World of Pixels by Wampus 2012-04-24T12:21:00

The android version is soooo nice!
The gameplay it's a little repetitive but it's funny to tap things, probably on desktop it's not so good as on a phone.

Survive, my little pixel! by Riccardo Stucchi 2012-04-24T10:48:00

The best part of this game is the magnifier (good job indeed, really smooth) and the audio effects really adds a lot! :D
Actually I died so fast :( but then my player proud forced me to try again and again ;)

Tiny World Of Life by Tinco 2012-04-24T23:00:00

Actually I've just tested with both chromium and chrome but it doesn't even start. Too bad cause my game too took inspiration from game of life, so I'm really interested to see your work.. Any idea on how to make this working? Can you put a video maybe?

Tiny World Of Life by Tinco 2012-04-25T18:35:00

Ok in another machine it worked with google chrome out-of-the-box probably my other machine has some problem with gl and chrome. btw nice adaptation of the game of life! I mean you've added different grounds and a spherical surface which makes more interesting the whole thing. good job!

Where Are You Teddy? by keebus 2012-04-24T11:10:00

Ahah I was able to finish it :D
I really liked the graphics and the concept. I mean in the end you've just to press on button but its still hard and challenging cause you've to think to solve the level.
I think the music gives the right sense of "dreaming".
Plus it works out of the box on my linux machine and this gives you +1 without even thinking :D

Bipolar by Skulls 2012-04-25T19:09:00

The idea it's really cool and something different from what i've seen till now in this edition.
Try working a little on the controls, cause to me it was a little hard to drag out the sword while moving.

Godzilla Rampage by kasarun 2012-04-24T11:52:00

Crashes on linux too :(

Brainfected by Foxtacy 2012-04-24T23:12:00

I think the main idea is good, actually its a bit too hardcore for me. I agree on having different color/textures for your shots and the enimies one.
Hey, this is LudumDare there's no game too ugly. Everybody knows how difficult is to do a game in such a little time ;)

Immunity by umwgmc 2012-04-24T12:28:00

Sorry but I couldn't test it. Was java7 really necessary?

Tiny Worlds by Lidfrid 2012-04-24T11:58:00

Sadly i can't ear the sound :( everybody sais its so good. I'll try on another pc soon.
I'm loving the polish graphics and the concept btw :)

The Office by Mirroar 2012-04-24T22:18:00

Ahah actually I found this game quite funny. It resemble to me that old books for child where you've to turn the page according to the decision you make, but here is online much cooler :)
I agree maybe a guest account should do the trick. Or maybe you can just create a random user everytime if you're saving some data for the game (like the objects you collect)

This Town (ABEFTTOU) by ThatSnail 2012-04-25T18:29:00

I think the game it's really funny, cool graphics and perfect music for the theme.
I didn't like the "dead baby" research.. that's not funny at all actually.

We're going to need another Gnomy! by Ghoul159 2012-04-25T19:33:00

It was fun to throw some gnomes ahah.
Next time put the html on some free web hosting space so much more people will test it!

Gravity Sucks [WEB] by Nocturne 2012-04-25T19:39:00

I think this is so great! I'm an html5 developer and i'm so impressed you could do something like this in 48hours! Did you use a particular sdk-toolkit?

Gravity Sucks [WEB] by Nocturne 2012-04-26T06:50:00

Thank you for the reply! Iam going to test it!

Angle Isle by Rusty Moyher 2012-04-24T22:49:00

I liked the graphics and the idea of the wind carring you. But sometimes the wind doesn't blow or something like that and I couldn't do anything else then die 3-4 times then it appears again.. don't know if it's a bug or if i'm missing something..

Short Life in a Box by tequibo 2012-04-24T11:05:00

I testes on linux with wine, it works but the mouse is just crazy. The environment is kinda crazy, i was getting an headache after a few minuts of exploring. Btw good job!

NanoQuest by Mago 2012-04-24T11:35:00

I think that with just some audio/particle system feedback this could be really good. btw good job and good concept.

Gods Inc. by BlackDogg 2012-04-25T18:18:00

Good graphics and sounds, i think that the gameplay could have been more challenging adding some feature (make some rain over the farms sometimes for example) Btw good job, it was relaxing to play it!

Quark by Mach60KAS 2012-04-25T18:44:00

Really original to have 3 powers and switch them to pass different things.
Actually it was a little to simple. You should add some more levels.

Good job btw ;)

caveman defending his cave from aliens while monoliths drop down from the sky by bms 2012-04-24T12:40:00

I loved 2001: A space odissey and the game it's really fun. :)

Rocket Boat by RHY3756547 2012-04-25T19:49:00

Cool concept, graphics, audio, gameplay.
Only the controls should be refined but you really did it. this game rocks :D

Tiny Galaxy by Tifu 2012-04-24T11:31:00

This is really good!
Somehow it remembers me super mario galaxy :)

Tiny Galaxy by Tifu 2012-04-24T11:32:00

Forgot to add that runs with wine on linux ;)

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-22T23:39:00

Don't forget to have a look to my development diary, I had fun writing it :)

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-23T12:41:00

Thanks actually I'm going to fix only minor bug for this release, so i've changed the icon of "points" and even their name into "organic matter" so maybe that is less confusing.

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-23T15:27:00

Actually I've tested the game on an android browser and yet it kinda works. The only limit is that you can't travel around the table but it's still possible to finish the game by building the big boss! A cool side affect of working with html :)

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-24T11:18:00

Actually i put some memes cause i'm really bad in drawing and they're a simple way to explain a story. I mean if I wanna express anger with my drawings I can't while with a fuuuu image everybody are going to understand :)

I'll try to add an undo-button.
For the tutorial my first intent was to have an in-game tutorial but then i runned out of time :(
I tought that to have an in-game tutorial i would have to add some middle-objectives or some achivement (something like ok, you've created a new bateria wow you get an achivement) but then it was too much to do in too little time, so i created a "fixed" tutorial.

I'm going to wait for more response, then I wanna talk live with some of my friends, create better rules and then try to come out again.

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-24T13:25:00

Added the "undo button".
I limited the undo activity to the current turn.

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-25T19:02:00

I was thinking on some way to increase the strategical component.
At first I would change the values of cost/production. In the end you should be able to produce no more then 2 bacteria from one. so if it cost 10 then in 5 turn you'll produce 20.. Then the resources on board sooner or later must disappear cause they've been used (and maybe new ones appears somewhere else). Then i would change the values of food need.. I mean right now the only way to kill a bacteria for no-nutrition is to sorround it with other bateria or something like that.. so it's not so hard to keep them alive.. Do you have any advice on this?

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-25T19:54:00

I used it only in the first screen of tutorial.. Btw I'm going to remove it since that's not even part of the game. All the other art have been drawed in inkscape so they're ok.

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-25T20:11:00

Just removed it don't worry. I wanna my work judged for what is it, that stuff was just secondary.

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-26T12:54:00

I see, that was my original plan, to have the maid cleaning random areas (actually over-crowsed areas of bacteria should die due to lack of food).
I've put two different version so I can continue develop your advices without disturbing any more the competition I hope..

An Hell Of A Kitchen by brus46 2012-04-26T19:10:00

Next time I'll do it immediately, sorry but i'am still a newbie of ludum dare..

Rockland by Jeroenimoo0 2012-04-23T20:12:00

I liked the idea of being on an little flying island.
I had some difficult in playing, sometimes I couldn't shoot even if i was full of ammo.
Btw good job, +1 for linux compatibility :)
