Might have been a cool game if I knew how to play it. Is the dragon game button meant to do something?
A deep game about the frailty of humankind, we are all just living on the whims of the Gods of fate and chance our little boat rocked about by the whims of the ocean of life.
I really enjoyed this game. The core mechanic of shrinking and enlarging has a lot of potential, and the graphics are inspired and enhance the experience. That being said I found the music repetitive and uninspired I have no idea why you changed it from the original better music. The first levels were good at training you the basics but there were only two that really used the core mechanic in a meaningful way. It's a great start to a platform puzzle game and for a jam game I am very impressed.
I like that you used the video game to convey your message about war and the media. The gameplay itself wasn't anything new however but maybe that was the point.
I found the game really easy but it might just have been because I spammed warriors and had a huge army to stomp down all the enemies. The upgrading didn't work but I think that's because I didn't click ok. Overall a decent game for 48 hours.
Decent gameplay, the different elements worked well together although it could be a bit repetitive. Overall a very solid jam entry.
I really enjoyed that game, the puzzles were fun and innovative and the characters were cute. My advice to improve the game would be to
An average game, the evolving mechanics have been tried in other games and done better. Still it had a point to make and I think it made it.
You made the most annoying version of tetris possible :/ and I loved it :D
One of my favorite games so far, a bit short but I loved slowly working out what evolutions to use to get past certain parts. Reminded me of old school adventure games. If only it was longer :(
I got to play one or two games then when I reset it the game stopped working :( was allright for a four hour game but it's still going to be compared to 48 hours games.
I liked the evolving ship mechanic but just shooting debris was kind of boring. Would have been much cooler to fight aliens or something. The ship was so small and there was so much debris I couldn't get all of it, it was also hard to see the debris. I much prefer holding down spacebar to rapidly clicking it like one of Skinner's rats. I liked the sound. Given the time limit a good entry :)
Short game, was pretty easy as long as there was something to eat. Still enjoyed it I rushed to another environment just to see what happened. Fun game.
I lowered the damage bullets deal and their speed, thanks for the feedback dvdking
I think it says something about indie games that some people took my introduction to this game seriously.
@triliyn
That's probably because his beard gets caught, I'd fix it but I don't care enough.
Fixed the bug anyways.
It was fun to run around and hit boxes with my elongated penis, I'm bookmarking it to try and get to the end eventually. Would have been nice to have some way to get my health back.
Got about 40k and I was using trying to use the immunities to get as many of that color as possible by culling the ones that were the wrong color. Sadly the kept switching colors and I wasn't quick enough to change them. Interesting little game :)
Game seemed like it was trying too hard to be funny, and the sticky thing that grabbed your mouse was really annoying. Are the levels meant to evolve depending on what you do?
Awesome game, I'm keeping this one on my computer for when I just want to play some simple platforming action. I'm not sure how you did the evolving levels but when I first played through the game I got stuck might be that it was just a really hard jump but you should put in a restart button or something for the level. The music and simple gameplay was very relaxing and fun great job :)
Couldn't hear any sounds. Gameplay itself was really nothing special just avoid some bushes. Story seemed interesting although I'm not sure if it crashed or just ended. The long loading times combined with the short levels made it difficult to play. The story itself seemed interesting, and cyclical.
Needs more explaining in game.
Fun little minigame. It's a bit like the game I made.
Interesting game, I kept getting huge shapes that I would kill in a few moments but eventually it made one so small and weirdly shaped I spent a minute or more trying to get it then just gave up. Certainly fits the theme of evolution although the mechanics of just shooting some shapes wasn't hugely rewarding seeing how the shapes change was fun.
Some parts took too long to change so I got bored. I loved the mood but the game got old quick for me.
Level 2 too hard bro dude, give them a fixed movement path. Cool game otherwise.
I HATE LIVES SO MUCH WHY DO PEOPLE USE THIS ARCHAIC MECHANIC.
I HATE LIVES SO MUCH WHY DO PEOPLE USE THIS ARCHAIC MECHANIC. I had fun playing the game but when I had to restart because I ran out of lives I was upset.
Cool game bro dude, was a bit easy but when I got a feel for it I enjoyed it.
A fun little game, reminded me a lot of Osmos in terms of the controls.
Really easy at the start then hard at the end, just have to mash away at the spacebar till they all die. I thought I found a spot you could just sit at and not take any damage but the only place you can do that is on the guy who's evolving then just change directions.

Love this game, gonna bookmark this shit.
Interesting game, not sure what happened but I had some firebirds :)
I spent a lot of time trying to work out how to play, did not teach the player how to play through the game. Having to read a guide isn't much fun but I can tell you had some cool ideas.
Interesting story, although I can't help but feel that the ending screamed "rape". Mechanically it was quite simple I found the best way to beat enemies was to get a one or two to follow you then just hit them a couple times running away if you needed more space.
Art style was very original and appealing to the eyes. I felt like I needed a turbo like they have on some controllers to really shoot those eye beams and I dislike having to repeatedly tap spacebar to shoot. Evolution mechanic was cool too.
I liked the evolving game mechanics as you progressed although I could never be bothered using my gun. Graphics were a bit simple but a fun game I played to the end.
Kind of hard to run, annoying that you have to restart the levels and the eye things went spaz every time they turned around. I liked the minimalistic graphics and general feel to the game but I found it difficult to play because I couldn't tell where the eye's beam was going to be.
I had a lot of fun playing this entry. I liked that you could see what your enemy had built it. Sometimes I'd just straight up copy them and sometimes I'd make changes myself.
Good art, and I liked your evolving senses. I actually quite liked the end I felt pretty bad about eating all those people especially since I turned into a monster with horns and stuff. I'm also a fan of Dr Strangelove and I liked the humor in this game :)
Platforming controls felt like I was on ice the whole time, then I got stuck on the third level by a grey block against a wall. Is the point that there are errors in game as well as out or something?
A group at my local jam had an idea like this although they didn't manage to finish it. An interesting idea although I felt a lot of the game was just killing monsters you didn't want. Fit the theme perfectly.
I'm not entirely sure how this was a game, the only real choice you had was once in town. That being said I loved the story and the artwork served to enhance the experience. I liked how everything was black and white except the sin which was red. Some constructive criticism would be to have more choices that could potentially change the ending, and I'd like to know what happens to Lucia :/
Great game, but when I played it firefox went up to 51% CPU usage about half way through. I switched to chrome but shifting my size with v didn't seem to work. I can tell it's a good game though just wish I could play it properly :(
Works fine on windows 7 64bit. Fun little platform game, when it ended I was left wanting more good job. I liked the wall jumping and I was expecting some level where I had to really put my wall jumping skills to the test. I also like how you have an editor so other people can make levels if they want.
Weird, did it give you an error message. I tried it and couldn't replicate the bug.
Thanks for the nice comments
@Alexfili
I don't know what you mean by a gap between switching, all that happens is the blocks and background start flashing colors there isn't a pause or anything.
Interesting concept with the core mechanic being picking up objects that do different things. I like puzzle platformers so I enjoyed playing a well made one.
Hard game, love the artstyle and piano. I think what makes it so hard is that you can't move in the air after you jump.
Nice little platformer, well done for 18 hours.
There is something so relaxing about this game.
I didn't crash when I died :D. Fun action game I got all 3 crystals then went into the green room and immediately died to a thorny bush that spawned where I did lol. For several of the rooms I found it very hard to dodge the main enemy's attacks so it just turned into mashing space as fast as I could till they died. Still I enjoyed playing this well done.
In game maker you can set it to be an exe file when you extract by using the dropdown menu in the save window below the name.
No worries, always happy to help a fellow jammer :)
Cool game, basically a simplified version of And Yet It Moves.
I want to show this game to my friends, this is every stereotypical RPG in a nutshell I love it.
I enjoyed that experience quite a lot.
I enjoyed playing this game when it was working well, the music was great and the gameplay was pretty fun when I could tell what was going on. I think a reason some people have trouble playing this is because it's really hard to tell what is going on a lot of the time. It's hard to tell where your character is on the screen and when you die it's not always obvious. Might help if your character was white and you could see him more easily and if there was a screen that said "game over" or something. Fun game I enjoyed playing it :)
Cool game if a bit hard. Every part of this game was well done the graphics, sounds and music, and the gameplay.
I played through it until I'd saved 130 workers, this is one of the few games I've reviewed that I felt like beating. I'm not sure if it's because I played this game in a sort of trance but there's just something about this simple gameplay that was just hypnotic and I couldn't stop until I'd saved all the workers. Then they all re-spawned -_-. Good game though :)
I enjoyed playing this game, it was pretty fun using the different spells. Music was catchy. Online high score board is awesome I'm going to bookmark this and try to get a high score if I get time :)
Took me a little while to get used to the controls. I don't want to spoil anything in case this confusion was intentional but after you get over the high learning curve it's a simple game about using his 'dodge'
A difficult game to be sure but once I got the hang of it I was able to beat it and that was immensely satisfying so thanks for making this.
Thanks for all the nice comments, I'm glad people had fun playing the game.
@AlexFili I'm sorry to hear that the game didn't run for you, I just tested it again to make sure the link worked. It worked for me so I'm not sure how to fix it.
When I saw this art on the previews I was intrigued. I ended up really liking the artwork and the animations, it was all well done. My only complaints would be that the game was very short and had zero difficulty but it was an enjoyable game that will stick in my memory as a unique cool idea.
I walked off the map a few times but I loved the feel to this game it reminded me of an episode of adventure time. The mechanics where you could only throw one frisbee at a time were good, those gummy bears would swarm me if I didn't take careful gaim. I enjoyed playing this good job.
I liked the polish on this game, the graphics, animations, and sounds were all top quality. The gameplay was solid although on one level I had to keep killing myself until the right powerup appeared. Overall a high quality game good job.
Awesome game. I liked trying to hit tricky shots from across the map and the funny noises those poor civilians made when the werewolf got close. It left me wanting more levels great job. :)
I like that to hurt enemies you need to put yourself in danger and swap with them. Great idea that was executed well.
I had fun playing this game. I enjoyed the progression from throwing slime at enemies and running away to killing hordes of them with toxic clouds.
Some things that would have been nice would be some indication of what spells do before you select them and craft them. A way to find the bosses more easily. As well as a way to know how much of the crafting materials you have. Still great jam game especially considering the time constraints.
