I cannot see my mouse and that makes it impossible to play.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD24 → .Evolvorous.

I cannot see my mouse and that makes it impossible to play.
The mouse seems to appear once move it around a little.
Same here looked like a fun game though
I got the same problem with the mouse, I closed the game, tried it again, and it works perfectly.
Now let me ask something : WHY 25 TURNS ?
The game is really really really cool, I love it! Evolving is fun, exploring is fun, eating and killing is fun...but why does the game has to stop after 25 turns ? I wanted to explore more! I had so much thing to discover yet!
Crap! I have to play it again ^^
As said there is some strange thngs with the mouse.
In the main menu just click to go in the game.
(even if you don't see the mouse)
In the game, shake th mouse a little, it should appear in the game area.
For the 25 turns, it's a mistake done by not enough tests.
At the begining it was set on 50.
But depending on how you play a game can be very long.
May we can change this now but it's maybe not fair.
I think we are going to change it 50 turns. If you are not agree feel free to say it :).
I don't agree with changing the limit to 50. PUT A "CONTINUE PLAYING" BUTTON. Your game is totally great.
Well, that was unexpectedly easy. I randomly clicked on things to make sure my health didn't go down and then started attacking the other creatures. Once I started evolving it was easy enough to keep killing the rest and eat meat to stay alive.
Great use of the theme!
Thanks for comments ^^.
We didn't had the time to set a continue button or propose different modes like 25, 50, reach a special species etc ... Many things are possible :).
But i added a 50 turns version not considered for the jam but more for who want to reach a more complicated mix of species.
My only complaint really is that it is quite short and easy. But great use of the theme, one of the only games I've seen that takes evolution for what it actually is, instead of trying to pretend like like upgrades are evolution.
Thanks tupperwarespoon, i just uploaded a twice more longer version (50 turns) if you wanted to try :).
Can you make this for Mac?
cant see mouse.
The mouse problem is fixed, please re-install.
I really like the game. But it was definitely too easy. I like the visual variation that comes with your approach to the theme. Some of the tutorial parts were skipped very fast without me being able to read them. But overall the gist of the game isn't that hard to get anyway :) Good Job!
Could you upload just a zip of the game contents? I'd rather not install it, especially through WINE.
Fun idea; really great artwork with a lot of shifting pictures depending on what traits are active. The game was a little hard to figure out at first, and there didn't seem to be a lot of variety in strategy, although maybe that would become apparent if I played more. It was fun having my duck grow fangs, though. Very cool; great art, good background music, and a creative, interesting idea. One of the best fits to the theme I've seen yet.
Nice game but the game window is little to big for my screen
The art and music were excellent. I concur with most here that you nailed the theme very well but on to of that it feels well polished for a 3 day game. I enjoyed it a lot and think you guys did a great job.
Great use of theme, very fun ^^
Nice entry overall but there isn't much challenge or objective to it.
Game in Zip file is uploaded now but you have to install XNA to play.
Short game, was pretty easy as long as there was something to eat. Still enjoyed it I rushed to another environment just to see what happened. Fun game.
Was as good as ever!
Needs more turns!
This is pretty great, I love turn-based games and this fits the theme perfectly. Well done.
