Woah A tactical in 72h? That's impressive! I love the whole idea and the realisation is pretty good! There still to be some bugs left though (I had to restart twice from the beginning bc of game freezes. Maybe it's when someone stands on a "corpse") Also, a Skip turn option would have been nice for when you have a dozen of people in your gang and you actually just want to talk with the 2 main ones. Will play again tomorrow
This is amazing on so many levels...and there are so many levels! To me, the fact you managed to make such a game in 72h seems a miracle. This is a fantastic job, and a clever idea I remember I wished to see made into a game. Thank you for this! Thank you very much!
By abrupt ending do you mean the game closing violently without any reason? Because it's what happened to me after I gave the picture to Lukas and tried to walk to the left :/
This aside (and the empty hotspots as you mentioned)this is, as usual, a gorgeous entry, and a pretty good (and sad) interpretation of the theme. Funny to see that both our games have a mechanic in commons while being totally different.
It gets pretty hard once at the middle, and starting over from the beginning every time is a bit tedious, but I LOVE THIS. I just wish the transitions btw the crew were a little bit faster. Also, it mifht not be a good idea to hide the crew buttons when the ship is full. I always forgot which one is what number!
Very fun! I never figured out what to do with the pizza slices though. Couldn't I just eat them? That seems the more rational thing to do!
Well done, now I want to downrate every game I gave 5 in graphics :(
This is amazing!
Very fun!
This is super cool!
I couldn't beat level 12 though! That's a hard one!
I wonder if it would be possible to play that game using an actual Windows' window. That would probably be even more fun/weird
Anyway the gameplay works super fine and I love it!
woah
I didn't really get it at first, but once I did, I got completely hooked. I think I spent about 2 hours on this! The dungeon setting is a nice addition although it's pretty useless. Maybe you could reinforce this part a bit, or drop it completely to get something more abstract.
Really nice puzzle. There's nothing really new here, but the only fact to set the whole puzzle in a single room makes it great. Plus I didn't feel the need of any tutorial and understood everything by myself, which means the design is top-notch! I finished it and really enjoyed it
Nice little puzzle. These something weird in the click mechanic though. I find it weird to have to click either on the furniture or the character. I can't help but feeling that left click on character => push right click on character=> pull would be simpler (but it might change the gameplay a bit since we would be able to pull several objects in the same time)
Not very innovative but a good yet simple roguelike! thank you
Interesting point & click concept. Didn't quite understand the end though
Very nice entry once you get it! (at first I just try to place the furnitures to have a nice home, Sims like, turns out the Tetris version is way more fun!)
It's very fun. Not very playable, but very fun. I don't think I even managed to hurt the boss :(
It's a super good idea. The going back and forth to the computer could be a lettle tedious. It might have been nice to have everything on one screen like in paper please or something. Anyway, very good job
Woah! really fun!
I spent a looooooot of time trying to figure out how the "cube" worked but eventually couldn't. But I don't care. It was a lovely moment, and definitely my favorite game of yours! Really clever and really well done.
Woah! This is really good!
Lovely (and funny) story, lovely graphics (I really love the design of the witches) and last but not least : great gameplay and level design! You managed to keep it challenging but not frustrating (I only lost twice or thrice). Really, it's a lovely game! The only thing missing is a bit of music. Didn't you find something?
Few remarks: There's a typo at the end "When does the does the with come from dinner?" (well, I think it's a typo)
And : why don't you let us skip the text with X? My hands are already on X + arrows. Pressing Enter feels weird (and isn't intuitive)
It's really fun! But maybe a bit too easy : I won everything on my first try! I wonder how fun it could be in multiplayer. Probably a lot!
Now I see a tiny character jumping while I write. This is so clever! Nothing to add.
Simple yet powerful game. It has a Undertale feel I kinda like!
However, the game keep crashing weirdly on my computer. One time is was while browsing the internet (black screen. I can see the texte, but not the hearts nor my face), another time it was in the shower (same thing). The weirdest thing both worked some other times. It just seems random
Nothing very innovative there, but a well crafted skill games! Really fun and very hard, as it should be!
I was afraid it was another fast food simulator game but it's actually very good. Adding the change mechanic is a very nice idea. I especially love how you can chose to not put the money in the "bank" at the cost of forgetting how much every one has given
I had a nice moment :) Thx
Interesting game! I wish there was a bit more of challeng.
This looks so great! I wish I could play it! :(
The room filling itself up is a lovely idea.
Unfortunately I got stuck around here https://gyazo.com/6909603820be26f663ee156c09e5b7a6
Also, the text disapearway too fast on my computer too!
Haha this is priceless https://gyazo.com/ff38247e2ebb07ca9c62400a93601285
Really clever yet simple gameplay! I love it! I would totally buy a game compiling many little crime scene like that. Really one of my favorites so far, you nailed every categories!
Woah this is actually great
I wish there was a way to pause the game but on the other hand, the chaos is part of the fun, and since there is no game over...
A really good take on chu chu rocket
(oh, and the audio works GREAT!)
O-O
Why this gameplay didn't exist already?
It's just great!
Sure, the game isn't much pretty, the pauses during blobs ollidings are annoying and its get tiresome after 2,3 games, but this just works! This is fun! You really should dig on this! Add colors, power-up, and you've got a new kind of bust-a-move!
Also, I'm glad to see a game entirely drawn on Piskel!
Nice little game, but the intro animations were SOOO pretty I wish the game had the same graphics!
I enjoyed the simple but varied gameplay. The packing part played with the mouse was weird though, maybe you should find a way to make it played on keyboard. It's always weird to switch from one controller to another
This is way too hard for me.
I was having fun in my tiny house, planting baboos, trying to keep it warm, and then a weird thing arrived ans kill me. I sadquit.
Seriously, I find this game way too hard. Managing ressource + jumping from platform to platform is hard enough, but if you add ennemies...
But maybe it's just me. I'm pretty bad at real-time videogames.
Anyway. Nice idea and gorgeous graphics as usual! It's just too hard for me.
I looked everywhere in my room but I couldn't find 15 friends and computer so I had to play solo. Not as fun I guess, but it gives a great feeling of what the game could be!
This is a really cool idea with a very good realisation. I wasn't easy to figure out what the customers wanted exactly, and I think this is what makes the game interesting: some room is left for creativity!
It reminds me of Saut/Hops, except the all jump no walk gameplay ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE NOW!
Great job! The game could use a few checkpoints though!
I can't believe how long it is!
Really clever, but I'm totally stuck at the level where the ball is super bouncy
I feel there isn't much to do for now (except harvesting planets) but I really would love to see this idea expanded. (Dwarf Fortress in space?! Woah!)
So cute and so moving!
I want to play more but I don't get how to remove the raining clouds (and I keep losing bc I have no water left)
The jump controls are terrible for a Mario game ^^
Otherwise, this is a fun and amazing entry!
Interesting game but it might be a bit too slow/complex at first. I would suggest to reduce the initial members of the tribe by half (or remember the action from the previous turn, and apply it for the next if still available)
This is amazing. So much content!
Great game, but I wish it were harder. I spent most of the time looking at the house, waiting for new patients.
To make it harder (and more fun in my opinion) you could :
-prevent the patients from talking : the body analysis is the funniest part, and most of the time, the patients' sayings are enough to find out what tool to use.
-Make all the illness have 2 symptoms (like you did for some of them) because some of them are way to easy to diagnose (rash, gangrene...), and have every symptom shared by at least 2 illnesses. Ex: Rash: red arm+dilated pupils, Gangrene = red arm+sweat. That would allow the player to fail if he's not attentive enough.
-Have the patient die when the player gives a wrong treatment.
Also: having to click on the looking glass on the left to look at another part of the body is really tedious. When looking at a body part, a click anywhere on the screen could bring back to the full body.
Very impressive!
I enjoyed every minute of it (even when there wasn't much left to do for me ^^)
The hel Button just kills the game for me, but I figured it out on my own. the burning totem is a lose condition, right?
Anyway, good idea, I like how the effort is rendered by the amount of clics, and the mecanics are quite original. Now, it's FRIGGING HARD! (even if I guess that's the point)
This is a great entry!
The intro is really well done but way too long in my opinion. hopefully there is the endless mode.
The puzzle games are really good, one remark: at first, it wasn't obvious I was supposed to blow the candles. I tried to light them all (and thus lose). This felt a bit unfair (even if I replayed right away). You might want to add a hint to help the player figuring this out.
Amazing graphics, music and mood! And the gameplay is fun enough. This is a great entry. On my third attempt, I managed to duplicate myself, thinking it would be easier to tidy up the room if there were two of us, but my clone was a lazy asshole and spent all the time sat on my chair: https://gyazo.com/e63ad815d1d0c6f89febf97f71452f5e
my favorite game of this ludum dare!
You should add a download version, sometime the web version slows down
It's gorgeous!
I don't really know why i failed though
beautiful
Controls aren't very smooth, but the idea is great, and I kinda felt bad
Really clever, innovative and pollished! congratulations!
Excellent! You should have submitted to http://itch.io/jam/femicom-game-jam-2 too!
Interesting idea! And it was fun to play
Veeeeeeery nice
lovely mechanics
Reminds me of Monster Loves You. It's nice. My only complaint is we have to scroll a lot. We would be nice to find away to fit everything in one screen
no no no no no no no
Great mechanics, great sounds! very funny!
Very cute! I love it!
I like it, very relaxing
My keyboard is WAY too dirty to try the game as it should be. I wish I were at Babycastle! Great idea!
This is hard...like...way too hard! You should give us more time to get used to the keys, or even write the keys on the dragons' heads. If they keep changing place, that would be hard enough anyway.
It took me some time to realize the kid was scarrying the monster (I was focused on my keyboard). Lovely graphics
Woah, this is excellent! Really hard though, I need to try again. It reminds of Cruise for a corpse which was really hard too. I
I like how nobody even reacts when a pony is killing everybody. It seems like a good start, there's probably a game to make out of it
lacks a candy counter, but overall a fun little game
I expected some pay back in the end ^^
Very nice graphic idea!
The most fun game I've played so far. Great work!
A great idea! It lacks a bit of balance I think, but it's a great work in 72h!
Totally not smiling.
But this is awesome.
I missed this!
Fun!
I feel the mouse+keyboard controls were unnecessary, I played almost all the game with the keyboard only. With a bit better pathfinding, mouse wouldn't be necessary at all!
A really good take on the theme
Nice mechanics. Too bad you had no time to finish it
Good use of the theme and the ending is funny!
jumping from CV to CV is a bit tedious, aside from this, the game is great and incredibly polished
Being a drunk giant lobster is hilarious
Restarting all over again everytime was a bit tedious, but the humor of the game is worth it!
The game is gorgeous. Too bad there is not much to do yet.
nice little game
A lot of good ideas in here. But this is really hard! Maybe if the angels were slower?
Well. This is awesome.
Seriously. I love it.
I wish it was longer, it's a great idea for interactive comics!
Those camera movements...woah!
I would have set a shorter timer for a better pressure for score, otherwise, good game!
The music is good, too bad we can't hear it when we shoot.
A bit (lot?) repetitive, I continued playing just to see the ending, so, maybe the shooting phases were a bit too long. (especially when you don't get who you're supposed to shoot, but that's the point of the game.
But the ending is AWESOME! It makes the game great! Very clever, and an awesome interpretation of the theme.
Woah! This is a great game! It could have been harder, I enjoyed finishing it
those sound effects are so good!
Woah...this is waaaay richer than I imagined! Every choice DO matters! Congrats for that!
I've seen a lot of bugs that make the game hilarious! First, when I played in full screen, it seems the pointer wasn't where it was displayed so the walking mechanics was TERRIBLE (and terribly funny), then, when I crouched to see the corpse, I remained crouched for the rest of the game and was like sliding on my knee, so cool! I know this is probably not made on purpose but that deserves a 5 in humor, I laughed for real.
Also, the graphics are lovely
Indeed, we had a similar idea! And it's fun to see how different our executions are. Is there a way to end this? I don't think so (and understand why). This is a great game, and obviously, I love the interpretation of the theme!
Dodging the bullets is really hard, but I love the graphics
I wish the rules were more complex. It feels the player with the better cards in hands just win.
sometimes it's hard to get what hit you, but I like the fact you still can kill a lot of people after your death.
I wasn't able to figure out what were the good/bad options (I guess they were all the same) but I really DIG your graphics, and even the absence of graphics!
The game is not bad but this https://gyazo.com/fe60e56d40660cc01a47d8a649548bee seriously is the worst tutorial ever. Although everything is correctly explained, it's rally hard to get anything. Some indications on screen would have help better (like a Q besides a fire, a E besides a human etc)
Woaah! This is so fun! And the mechanics are really innovative, i love it!
At first I was worried by the bull speed, but I understood the upgrade thing later. I think the upgrades shouls be more effective (we don't really feel the speed/agility upgrade unless ungrading 3 points at once). Otherwise it's more fun to play than I would have expected.
Also, sometimes people die by themselves. Bug or feature? anyway it's funny
It's pretty and cute, but I still prefer your less gamish games :)
This is my favorite games of yours! It's gonna stay on my desktop for a long time
this is great!
The theme is a bit light though
the custscene animation (btw 2 games) is the best
Gosh it's hard!
but nice too
It's funny, and the proof you should do more twine games (and improve your english a bit, but I certainly can't blame you for that)
I plays with my girlfriend it was really cool.
My only complaint are the controls key which are too close from each others.
Haha
I started the game, a few people began to talk, and in the same time my smartphone started to vibrate, like if I was getting Twitter notification. It blew my mind. For a moment I really thought what I was writing on your game was published on my twitter or something.
You know what would have been cool? Having a new music every time a vinyl player is killed! (but it sure is hard to do in 72h ^^)
awesome entry! thanks to Canard PC to point it to me :)
Nice game!
It quickly get boring but I loved it anyway. It's fun to play with friends shouting words at you
It gets intense!
I like to take a moment after this kind of games to think at how this idea could even came out. I haven't find any answer for this one yet. Makes it even better.
The music quickly gets annoying but the graphics are ADORABLE
Nice idea and great realisation.
I would have loved to give you complete feedback as you asked on twitter but I don't find much too say. It's just good. The only thing I can see that could make it better is to have the blocks move faster when pressing down. They seem to do, but not much. When you're used to Tetris gameplay and those fast falling bricks, this could be annoying. Plus, it would probably makes the game a bit easier since we're kinda fighting against the clock here!
Really funny, innovative and fun to play. My only complaint is the difficulty to score points (the gods favor keep falling to zero). I wish that was a little less punitive (or is it something I didn't get?)
Anyway, it's one of my favorite so far. A lot of little details makes it really cool
Well...
this is awesome.
A bit more interactivity would have been nice, since you got the rest pretty well covered
I don't really know why, but I really love this one!
This is beautiful and the idea is promising, but it is also way too hard to play. I wish the Tarot Cards acted more differently
I didn't really get what I was supposed to do :(
I enjoy the graphics and mood though.
The game is flawed on a lot on levels, but the idea is pretty cool and the alien fighting scenes funny (I wish they could do more). I'd like to play a post-compo version of this, with more features
One of the most fun games I played so far, and a pretty solid entry overall.
GOTY
This is really innovative and I would really like to play an improved version of this game. This is a prototype who really deserves to be turned into a bigger game!
I didn't really get how the combat system worked, but I loved everything else. especially the graphics and the music which are AWESOME
Ooh and I loved the Dr slump feeling
Dropbox is telling me Error 404. can't download the game :(
The theme is the only thing missing to me. This is beautiful and I love it
Beatiful game
Not my favorite of yours (as you can guess, I'm not much into platformers) but it is really really good
Don't be sorry! It's short indeed, but it's very nice.
It reminds me of the first levels of Quackshot.
Why did you remove the Audio and the graphics?!
Well...it's the least "nuprahtor" game I played haha and it's pretty rad anyway. You really suprised me here. I like to be surprised :)
Well...it was painful to set up (installing the emulator, maping the keys, loading the game etc) but it was worth it. It's a nice little game. Not very innovative, but the fact that it's made for gamebuino makes it interesting!
(When will you make one for ZX Spectrum?)
same "problem" than Geckoo1337
I don't know if it's intentional or not, but I can't really do anything else in the game
Great mechanics. I want to play it again after the rating rush. Graphics and music could be improved, but it's already nice to play.
Love it
I was very sad when the guy killed me. I thought he just wanted a hug.
Why disabling the audio rating? the audio is great!
haha "isn't it a bit of a unconventional weapon for a diplomat?" You got me here.
Unfortunately because my trackpad doesn't allow me to click while pressing something on keyboard, the game is really hard to play to me. (not your fault)
I liked what I've played so far but got stuck reaaaally soon, at the thirs screen. playing the music didn't open the door nor moved the platform. And Tab to change song didn't work (probably because I didn't have another song). Is there something I missed?
Now I want MORE unconventional weapons! Please make some more!
Simple but good.
the dezoom at first is a bit weird.
I love how the regular upgrade-game mechanics are twisted in this one. You could have kept "Innovation" in the ratings cause I would have given some stars.
Nice firing/exploding animations.
The problem with this game is that it's really easy to find a spot where ennemies can't approach us, while playing "fair" is way too hard. Need more balancing/level design, but the game "feels" good, which is already something important.
I like the take on unconventional weapon as "weapon you're not used to" instead of "weird weapon"
This game is the most fun I've played for the moment (I played some good platformers, but I'm better at turn by turn ^^)
I sure will play it again when the ratings rush will be over. I wonder how you always come up with this fun and innovative mechanics. I mean...finding fun mechanics is easy, finding innovative ones too, but finding fun AND innovative mechanics every single time is really impressive.
Very good, but also very hard. I got stuck around level 7 (Which is bad, I know, but I'm not very good at platformers) I enjoyed it a lot though, and was impressed by the pretty level selection screen.
It reminds me another game I played during a previous LD, but I can't remember its name for the moment :(
I LOOOVE how in this RTS, the miners and fighters are the same units, it makes it very original.
Also, it is very fun to play even if I had trouble with RMB/LMB at first (but that's ok, I get used to it.) This woul deserve a two player mode (but then, mouse wouldn't work. On a tablet maybe?, a bit like Pax Britannica https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.swagner.paxbritannica&hl=fr )
I love how you managed to take a simple gameplay (platformer+hook) and made it "unconventional". It is really sweet to play, and really really impressive for a 48h game. Maybe a bit hard though, but I'm not very good at platformers.
It reminded me a bit of Toki. The only platformer I ever finished ^^ (and my favorite on megadrive)
Must be hilarious with 3 other players. I need to retry this with friends. the sprint mode seems way funnier than the marathon in my opinion.
This one immediatly jumps into my Top 3 deepnight games list, with Time Pigmy and Corporate Soccer.
I wish it was longer.
I wish the puzzles were less straightforward.
I wish there were several endings (maybe they are but I didn't find them)
I wish the combat system was deeper
I wish a lot of things, and that only mean I would really love to play a "full-lenghth" game based on this. And by full lenghth I mean something like a 1 hour game instead of a 15mn game. You made this in 48h? It would take you a month to make something really great people would buy.
I got stuck (and thus eventually bored) at the first level where moving objects is mandatory. A easier level where objects are mandatory would have been nice before this one to explain me how they worked (and eventually what they are since I cannot really tell by the graphics). Also, the walking is too slow. It's not a problem at all in the previous level, but it becomes one as soon as you get stuck and have to try the level again and again. the puddle muds are especially annoying in this case.
Aside from that, I loved the idea and the realisation and had a lot of fun playing the levels before this one.
The LEGo characters and the blurry backgrounds are really nice touches. I must object: the fact that it is short and not very interactive doesn't make this less of a game! It's obvious you had fun doing the library scene ^^
I played the web version and loading the scenes was WAYYYY too long. Is it because you used high res pictures? (if so, you probably should have not). I'm wondering because I'm planning to use Tyranobuilder, and if the software is in cause for this, well, I might not.
I think I have a bug: it tells me game over, my score etc after a little while (I don't hit anything) and the game seems to go on behind that. On firefox.
Aside from that, I enjoy the mechanics
The funniest is to write all the commands in one shot (and fail because we still can't tell our left from our right)
Funnier than it looks at first. I like its simplicity.
It seems I can't rate yet. I'll come back.
I enjoyed it at first, but it gets tedious after a few waves. I didn't really get the "mix & match" idea, except for the explosions.
Can't rate(because I didn't take part) but this is amazing. My favorite so far (Ok, I played like 10 games, but still!)
Awesome mechanics! Now you should try to explain them little by little rather than before the game start. One of the most innovative entries. Reminded me of Benmergui's Storyteller
A.W.E.S.O.M.E
Hi fellow from Marseille! (I saw it on http://williame.github.io/Ludum_Dare_30_Connected_Worlds/)
This game has great graphism and clever mechanisms, congratulations. Only the difficulty seems a bit flawed, because sometimes on click is enough to solve a level (even advanced ones) and sometimes, the level turns into a nightmare!
Tom Millet (chuckles)
Well...I'm sad to say I couldn't finish the game, and I did try to click the armchair
I found a lot of info though, I sorted the sisters apart, learnt about the beating and the absent mother.
I love the story (and, obviously, the graphics), but the gameplay seems odd to me. Since there isn't much to discover in the rooms (aside from the picture and I guess the armchair) It would have been more coherent to limit the game to the questionnings. That's the part I loved the most. Getting info from someone, asking someone else about this (even if I couldn't question the mother about her absences)
Walking from the Veranda to the living room just to find the person we're looking for feels a bit odd
This is really addictive, and a great interpretation of the theme! Too bad there isn't an ending or a way to buy tools (I played like 40 years, and working in all these fields became quite tedious)
Also, it's a shame your graphics are blurry, I'm sure there is an easy way to fix that
An interesting take on doodle jump. The mechanics added in the last level were really interesting, and the difficulty well balanced. I would have played more if it was longer, but didn't felt it should be
That's a darn good platformer!
Woaaaah...
I can't believe you made this in 72h! This is AMAZING! (well, I do believe you since I watched the timelapse, but I'm so impressed)
Agricola, Cuba, Megablast linked together in a rich and balanced game?! I never thought this could be done that fast. I REALLY want to play a boardgame version of this, because the computer AI isn't really smart (I won 63 to 30 & 26) and playing with humans on the same computer isn't the funniest.
I think this is my new favorite
a good puzzle and an impressive entry
I played twice. Foud whales, iceshards and walls, but nothing that could warm me or help me find my partner. Sounds/Graphics/Mood was great but I really wish the game was a bit easier, Allowing us to set beacon for example. I might try it again later because I really frustrated! :)
Interesting concept, but it goes a bit too fast for me. I'm not a native english speaker, that might be the reason why. Also, I found out we weren't punished for hitting wrong letters, so I just kept jumping and my score increased. This should be easily fixed.
Nice gameplay but I can't get past the first level...
Aaaw! I really love this. It's too bad you could only spent 5 hours on this because I really feel it lacks One or two hours of work to polish it, fix the last little bugs, and smoothen the jump. I wish I could work that quickly
I loved it. I turned out my phone as requested but forgot about Facebook in the other tab. Of course, someone tried to talk to me...
The almost no interaction thing is a good idea, But I would have loved to chat with this guy more directly.
A lot of little things to fix to make a fun game (for example : I don't think the fact to use two different button to mine and to chop is really relevant). It's still great to have finished something! Keep on making games
We played in coop with my girlfriend and didn't manage to save our mariage. We laughed and argued, that was really fun! One of my favorite in this LD. So many stars!
Better than Space Harrier (which is too hard for me) I died on the road to Mercury...so cloooose
This is really impressive. I'm really frustrated though because I only have ONE Xbox controller, and didn't manage to play 2 players with keyboard+controller...and the one player mode is really hard. Congrats!
This is beautiful.
Haha! Looks like we made pretty similar games! I love your graphics and seeing characters getting old was a nice unexpected touch. I had a bug in the end because I only had Marta lee left, but she was offline, and Clara came back, but I couldn't click on her.
I wish there were more dialogues but already fell bad for losing my friends...But hey, I still have got Marta Lee, she's the best!
I've seen many double platformers in this LD, but this one moght be nicest!
I think it's an AWESOME idea, but I really really regret we actually knew who was answering (even if the colors weren't here, it would have been easy to know who had answered what) isn't the goal of these dating game to NOT know who answered?
I really would like to play the exact same games with more bachelors and without guessing their answers.
Graphics and Sounds are great
A great entry and a great story!
There are a lot of good ideas here, the colored sentences in each letters felt a bit artificial but it was interesting anyway. The reddit screens were the best! A great way to express the time.
You might want to try my own game because it is quite similar in a way (I mean in the variables gives epilogue mechanics)
I had fun messing around with the monoliths, the controls feels just right. Without your explanation in the description however it would be impossible to get what to do. You should have added some tutorial level maybe, if you don't want people to be lost. That's the price to pay when you create an innovative gameplay ^^
The graphics are amazing, but this game is way too hard, in a bad way : I coulnd't get past the first yellow block in the green area. I couldn't figure anyway to pass this.
Also, bullets from the blue level often continue in the green level...which makes the green guy die instantanely. It could be your interpretation of connected worlds ^^ but it feels really unfair.
Because of my f***ing synaptic touch pad I can't shoot while moving, but I still had fun with the game (I just had to find a good spot near the core and shoot shoot shoot)
I noticed a bug : I checked my Team once, and weren't able to go back to the menu. I did checked my team before without any problem, I don't know what happened. If it's helpful for you : I had only 4 members left in my team.
The content you managed to put in this game is REALLY impressive! Ok, the missions are a bit simular, but the team management makes it awesome anyway! The difficulty increase correctly, and losing team members really made me feel bad.
The game is really nice! I wish it were more difficult though because talking to everyone once or twice is enough to get the prize.
Aside from that, both graphics and audio are good. And I like the theme interpretation a lot (maybe because it isn't that far from mine ^^ )
An impressive entry!
Really innovative, and with lovely graphics. Reminded me a bit of Tetra in a way, but the gameplay is way different and probably funnier.
I did felt like a noodlem and it felt just right!
This is...whoah. Can't find the words. I want to play for hours but I'm so tired. I need to play it again tomorrow. One of my favorite so far!
Nice one. It reminds me Punch Planet in a way.
No silly plot? No voice-acting? Aw maaaaaaaaaaaan!
Anyway, the gameplay is pretty slick (is that a word, "slick"? I don't really know what it means...lemme check..Yeah! That's it : slick!) and the neon graphics fits the music very well. Now this is really hard and really stressful! My poor little heard can't handle all that stress! Great entry ;)
I suck at this game. Mostly because on my laptop, I can't use my mouse and keyboard at the same time. But I had a lot of fun anyway. the characters ar so cool! Especially the Rogue. the sound effect are awesome too
I had to replay a dozein time just because I love the noise crushed ants make. :3
Found a weird bug : I tried to steal a phone and ended stuck punching in the air for ever. This is as good as it is weird. I love the fact that the bum isn't depicted as a poor guy but as an antisocial who also wants to have fun. It's dark humor, sure, but sometimes it just feels better than commiseration.
Like yodamaster I think there are too many controls. I tend to prefer when games are mouse only/keyboard only when possible. Except maybe for the aiming, I think everything could have worked on keyboard.
Awesome music, as always. But I must really suck at colors or be colorblind because...well...I don't get it. I have to use bruteforce every single time. I feel I need the eye of a designer to play this game
Great as always. But this one is a little hard for my little brain. I'm stuck at level 4
The audio is great! did you make this?
I played this game WAY to long. Maybe 40mn or something. It took me a while to figure out how to shoot, then a while to figure out what to shoot, then a while to figure out the weak point...then eventually, I gace up after having sho all the creature's eyes without results.
It was awesome. Theme is light though.
"OH MY GOD! THIS IS THE AWESOMEST INTO I'VE EVER SEEN IN A LUDUM DARE GAME...uh...what? Is it over already?"
This games is impressive in a lot of ways, as soon as I saw the circles on the water in the first seconds I was "Woaaaaah"
Now, of course, it's way too short. But I can't imagine how you could even have made it longer. So...well...congratulations
An impressive entry! Too bad I cannot really play on my laptop : click doesn't work when I'm pressing a key :( I should try to play it somewhere else.
I didn't really saw the theme here...but since I couldn't play to the end, I might be wrong
"Ok, this game is quite funny, I'll probably give it 3 in humour [a moment later] Ok, this actually is pretty funny. Let's give it 4 [a moment later] Ok. Five. [a moment later] Shit! Where is six?"
Seriously, this is my favorite entry so far. Not only the game is hilarious, but it's also pretty, clever and fun to play. I can't see anything wrong with this game. I'm just wondering : Did you composed the music? If so, it's really impressing. If not, I can't rate you in audio/mood.
How cute! I didn't see it coming. Good job! (I played the simplified version and it was hard enough for me :) )
This game is great. So many details, so many useless little things to improve the experience. I felt really lonely, and pretty happy to be. I didn't get how to use the C Terminal (nor A I think), but got the planet of my first try anyway. Maybe were I just lucky?
Too bad it doesn't really fit the theme.
I'd like to see the movie that inspired this game. Reminded me a bit of 2001 Space Odyssey
This is a great idea! Reminds me of Cursor*10, but with more fun because FIREBALLS!
The connection between the real boring world the imaginary world of a kid is an awesome idea but the game gets way too hard way too fast. I played the post compo version to get through the lava, but was stuck with the robots just after that. All this difficuly comes from perspective/depth issues.
I DO know how to hammer :)
Nice story. I Didn't find the "puzzles" hard at all (I'm saying this because you wrote a walkthrough), maybe even too easy. But I guess the game is more about the story than about the puzzles and I liked it that way.
My main complaint would be the dialogue boxes which make the camera acting weird. This is quite annoying, but it's still a detail.
Oh and I like the social interpretation of the theme. Haven't seen it anywhere else for the moment.
Nice one! Fits perfectly with the theme and manage to be fun AND innovative. I also dig the minimalistic graphics
Wow, those animations sure are cute! The game is fun to play too, and perfectly polished
A Nice little puzzle. It would be more appealing and less confusing if the ressources weren't letters though (The X is really confusing since it also marks a used road)
Works on My Wiko Highway. This game is WAY more interesting and addictive than it looks. I'm impressed so simple mechanics could eventually become so fun.
Innovative AND fun ? That's a great entry!
The best android game I've played so far (in the LD I mean). Really hard, really fun and pretty addictif. I absolutly have nothing to complain about.
I played on Android. It took me some time to figure out how to jump correctly, but once I got that, I had a lot of fun (and frustration)
Am I doing it wrong or is there only two levels? I'm really frustrated now, which means this game is really good. Very clever use of the themes and of the tilt mechanics.
A great idea! I wish there was more content (like different ennemies) The fact we can listen to our tune after each level is a nice touch
A nice take on Flappy Bird. I wished your graphics were bigger because I like them and can hardly see them on my phone.
The simple graphics scared me at first...but I must say I eventually had a good fun playing this game. It reminded me of Berzerk on Atari 2600. The switching betwee words and the face your body is still vulnerable is a very nice touch. My only complaint would be the fact that the sword is blocking (you know, you can't use your sword when walking, like in Zelda for example). I think this could be really easily improved.
I've got a MSVCR120.dll missing :/
I *think* I undestood the gameplay, but it really isn't clear, even after reading the instructions (that's the comments below that helped me the most). I like the graphics and the overall idea, but the game remains a bit tedious to play. Congrats anyway!
The graphics are nice and the concept is good, but there are a lot of annoying things I want to point out if you want to improve it :
- The walking is a bit too slow
- with the perspective effect it's hard to face perfectly the small corridors, same things with aiming at things. you have the impression to face the objet/corridor but actually doesn't
-I don't really get why I have to use the mouse to aim while I'm using the keyboard to face direction. I think it would be better if the game was keyboard only OR if the facing was directed by the mouse (you know, like in a Diablo)
You should work a bit more on it, it seems to deserve it :)
A nice little classic platformer. The graphics are really nice and the games plays well, One thing I din't enjoy : having to kill myself because I was stuck after failing to jump at the right moment on an ennemy
A great puzzle on every aspects. At first I thought this was goind to be hard as hell, but I managed to finish the game though I'm bad at puzzles. The hearts and cogwheels reminded me of These Robotic Hearts of Mine.
Firt LD30 game I play! It sets very high standards for the others ^^ I really dis your art. I wish there was a bit more interaction
hehe! this is really good! Is there a link to play it on my phone? (Android)
Nice one! (But confusing at first with an european keyboard ^^)
There is something unique about this game. I love it! (and obviously, this is too short)
I haven't played the game yet (still loading), but I just wanted to say that weirdly, I begin to consider Angelina like a gamedev friend. It's great to see her progress through Ludum Dare. Keep doing this please. Also, Angelina is getting lurid : I clicked only because the game is called Jet Force Gemini, and it doesn't seem this has anything to do with the original game. We'll see. (God! This loading screen. It takes FOREVER!)
I didn't get I could absorb the fragment at first. And you can actually go pretty far without knowing it. (until it retreats in the core). Il fact you can jump really high by hitting the wall continuously. It might be something you want to fix. This aside, this game is great. I felt I was in Gurren Lagann or something.
hehe it's pretty cool! I would have played more levels with pleasure! More complicated ones!
Very pretty and quite fun! (but hard)
Superb! And why would you choose a take on the them when you can have four! Is the audio yours?
At last! I can grab your graphics with my own hand! Feels so good. Thanks.
The Intro is so great that the rest of the game doesn't seem that good. This idea really deserve you work more on it! I would love playing more! I want to know Julian better. I want to be his sex slave
Serendipity's back!
Well done, this is really clever! I might use the editor to list my 10 favorite LD entries ^^
The game itself isn't very fun, and way too easy (the lightning power is so powerful) but the concept is REALLY good! It's really something I'd like to see extended
swimming in the ceiling was really fun
Good Runner, and nice graphices. The theme is more than light though
The controls are weird...
But the audio <3 <3 <3
Nice surreal experience. didn't find any ending. Maybe because I'm a liar.
Nice. But it could have been shorter
I'm not sure I got the meaning of all this, but I enjoyed the trip
Nice little game, congrats!
I wasn't able to find the keys :(
I want an Occulus Rift Version
THIS IS AWESOME. i don't get it yet BUT THIS IS AWESOME! (keep playing)
This sure isn't the best game I ever played, but it is totally a game, and a fun one. I wish I could make this at 13, congrats!
I like how it can be played in real time if we're bold (I'm not). Great entry, very polished as usual
I love the game, very innovative. But I really think it would be better without the time limit. it's frustrating :/
This is pretty fun. killing the ennemies before they come out makes it much easier :). I'm stuck at levels 25-30 though, birds are the worst
Those explosions <3
I love how you mix 2D and 3D.
The game is hard, but I managed to finish it. Why F or J to shoot? That's nor usual nor practical
Far more fun et complex than it seems!
I LOVE IT!
This is a really clever way of narration. The game is both nice and creepy, like...why don't we let this poor girl alone? I have mixed feelings about all this and this is what makes the game so great.
Did you record the sounds yourself?
I love when you're a shitty arsehole.
5 for mood. so deep.
Basic, but actually pretty fun.
You seem to have got a nice view :)
I won't rate until I'll understand how it works. Please help me. What am I supposed to do to remove the blocks?
The graphics and atmosphere are perfect! I shivered when I first use the elevator. The perception od depth is really well done.
I would enjoy a longer version.
Wonderful graphics! And the music is pretty cool as usual.
The gameplay on the other hand is a bit hard and not that fun (too slow maybe?)
When I put the temp to the max, I thought I was going to kill them all.
This is really well done! Eveything is pleasant here, even that awful horn!
a very polished game. I feel it's pretty close to become addictive. Maybe by increasing the difficulty faster
Bizarre indeed. And creepy. You did a good job with the sounds!
It's a bit annoying that the Satan pointer is very small, sometimes you run by a door, press space, but you walked too far
It plays well. Too bad my mouse button is half broken, i makes it hard to shoot
The game is quickly boring (The difficulty doesn't seem to increase) but the pun made me laugh! Thanks for making this game!
Not your best game of course but I enjoyed it and it surprised me. twice. in a 2 seconds intervals. cool.
I like the idea of measuring time with clicks, but I didn't manage to win yet. I'll come back to this game tomorrow when I'll have slept, and be allowed to rate.
Just a thing : maybe you should make the game smaller. It doesn't display entirely in my browser, and I had to unzoom thrice to see the whole windows.
A really funny game! I wrote something about it (in french) : http://oujevipo.fr/20-minutes/1052-careful-now-
I wish I had took part in this Ludum Dare just to give you all my stars!
Very clever and entertaining, thanks!
The game is good and funny! I would have loved to play more difficult levels! Will you make some more ?
The music was a bit boring in the end.
The plot is really funny, but seriously : the roof windows hotboxs are too small, I fail 4 on 5 times! another problem : I jumped during the cutscene with Vanya...and disapeared into the floor ^^
Woaaaah...
This is amazing! I need to come back later and take more time to make art!
haha throwing things is fun!
I can't get used to the controls, impossible. But it doesn't prevent me to play this game over and over...this is good dope! really good dope
I love this concept! It seems it's almost impossible to win on the first time (time to get the mechanics), but it's no big deal since the game makes you WANT to play again.I think I found the three "endings" (yeah, I drowned myselft, that was silly). I love the villain animations too! and the music! you nailed th spy movie genre!
Very impressive entry! but this is SO HARD :p
I didn't feel my choices during the conversation were really important (but, in a way, it means something that they aren't) but you totally trapped me with the 10 seconds things! Seriously! You killed me! This is the best interpretation of the them I've played!
Memory games are never very fun (in my opinion) but you managed to make it interesting! I love the dark setting, and the last words idea. The first time I played the game, I didn't read the help, and didn't know I had to write down anything, so I just pressed space sometimes, to make the guys believe I was taking some notes, I don't know why. It was weird ^^
Great use of the theme. I enjoyed it even if I don't like soccer. it remind me an indie game I played once...with similar mechanics
mklee used simple mechanics
It's super effective.
Woah...
This sure was a lot of fun!
The theme is a bit light, but that would be my only critic
Woah! This is typically the kind of games I like! the duel scenes were a bit repetitive (and thus a bit boring) in the end but I love the managering before that. it reminded me a previous LD entry from deconstructeam : Ages of Irving.
I would have love detonation sounds, and some suspense music, but it's already a great entry!
funny idea. But I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do (I mean, except typing what the game tells me to type)
Very sword and sworcerish, whish is pretty cool. It is pretty original. I'm not sure the fun is there, but the mood sure is, and you make wonderful music/sounds.
This is the greatest surprise!
Not the game itself (which is pretty clever and really fun [until it gets intensely frustrating ^^) but the fact that you made a game! I didn't know you were a programmer!
Now I will harass you until you make a game using your own drawing graphics, because minimalist pixel-art it cool, but you can do so much better than that!
I can't help it : I'm not able to play any game involving shooting on things quick. I suck at it. But anyway, I loved the graphics, the swaping guns and everything. Just not my type of game
Awesome, as usual. I like how you get attached to the characters (and of course need to sacrifice them sooner or later).
Too bad I'm not very patient with "sokoban" puzzles, I think I gave up pretty quick
I would pay to see this race on TV
Nice little platformer. But the -1 lvl is just cruel dude! :p I couldn't beat the one with zombies
The monsters are really creepy! And those eyebrows ^^
The games works fine (hard though) but it's not very instinctive at first, since we don't see how much soldiers we buy for each statue. Hopefully, the war animations are fun enough in counterpart ^^
The game isn't much fun by itself, it really lacks audio, graphics aren't that good ...
But
I really loved how you linked the mini games through narration (that's what I tried to do too). Those verse are really lovely, and despite all the things i wrote above, it's still one of my favorite so far. I really dig this kind of experiences. I really feel it you would only need one more day of work to make it better (music, every endings, nicest "what button should I use" bubbles, and maybe, forgeting about the mouse thing, it's annoying to switch between mouse and keyboard, especially on a laptop".
It's amazing how fun this game is, without any need of good sounds or graphics (no offense). I'm glad I can play it at last. Level 5 is a real bitch (but also thefunniest)
Haha! The collisions ARE glitchy ^^ it makes it way easier! Also, "terrain.lua:193: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)".
If you're not proud of your work, I hope you learned some new things then!
A good idea, but the "on click" control is a bit tedious, maybe I would have prefer to drag path or something like that. Also, because of the blue aura, the colors of the creature aren't that clear (well, they are, I'm not blind, but it could be clearer). Anyway, congratulations
Fun and silly :)
This might be my favorite deppnight's LD entry since the time-travelling pygmee. It's also the hardest, mainly because of the time limit. I would like to play this game without the 10 seconds limit, but hey...that was the theme after all (jumping above tables was awesome)
Awesome mechanics! And awesome game overall!
It might need a bit of balancing but it's alreay really fun to play! Congratulations!
Woah! This is an awesome fist entry! Love the graphics, love the twist! I laughed
Wow! great idea! I'm not sure I get what really affects the result, but I enjoyed the game a lot, and really wouldd like to play an extended version
A fun and pretty game. One remark : I would have like to replay by pressing any key on the keyboard instead of grabing my mouse. It's just a detail, but I think it's important for this kind of short game, especially when they're good enough to make you want to play again
I had fun playing it without sound (I'm at work), and enjoyed it anyway. I will try this again at home
My new favorite. This game has everything right! congratulations! I was wondering if someone would think of a 10 second groundhog day, and I'm happy you did!
Addictive and lots of fun, but AAAAARGH! These damn turret's broken hitbox !!!
I agree with the previous commentators about the spinning screen...nice but not very intuitive. The lights flickering are very disturbing too...but in the end, it gaves a good disturbing atmosphere.
Very stylish! The graphics, the music, the color change...all this gives the game a really great atmosphere. Exploring the game can get a bit boring after a while, but I played for 15 minutes and really enjoyed it.
Amazing!
My favorite so far, and by far! Wonderful idea and design! Oh, and the theme <3
I noticed some bugs, like the timer which stops at 2 or continuing avec the replay screnn (then there is two timer voices in the same time, creepy)
This is a great idea, but i felt the difficulty would need to be tweeked. By allowing us to swap any gem, the game becomes quite easy, and not that fun, but if you disallow it, it would becomes impossible with the timer.
I don't know if the absence of timer is on purpose or not, but this is what I enjoyed the most, counting the seconds myself. "Was it 8 or 9" ? Haa, let's take a pill anyway!"
I think it would be better if there were less pills in the level. I never fell shortage.
(Why does he puke ? ^^)
Hard! But every death is enjoyable :)
The game has a great mood but I don't know how to rate this since the mood can be conveyed by the music...
I loved what I've seen : it's my favorite take on the the me so far. But unfortunately I wasn't able to pass the second building, the way we should place dynamites is not very clear
I love the intro/ending screens and the "scenario", but the game really is too slow, exploring becomes tedio.
us
I really dig the graphics and the animations. The gameplay is smooth too, but really hard! I didn't think I totally understood what were safe places and what weren't
I totally would have played 20 more levels! This is a great idea and really well done!
hehe, nice idea. it reminds me of a boardgame, zack & pack, in which you have to fill a truck with boxes very quick, just like here.
I had a similar idea at first, but thought it wouldn't be doable in 48h. Glad you proved me wrong. I really love the idea of thinking to find more conversation subjects, but being very slow, I would have enjoyed it more without the time limit (but of course...it wouldn't be in the theme anymore). Nice art too.
No. It wasn't any hardcore for me.
Seriously, this is a fantastic game. At first I was like "yeah well..." but when the rythmic came into action, I couldn't stop playing. This seriously is a great idea, and a smooth gameplay too. Better graphics could have been appreciate, but you can't have everything :)
I lose...a lot!
I need to work on my reflexes.
My favorite is the one with the potatoe!
Fun to play! I especiallt loved the boat and cat names.
A good and simple idea! I felt the sphere might be a bit too fast, I would have enjoyed a slower pace, which wouldn't have made the game easier. It's rare to ask for a slower pace in a video game, so I guess it's a good sign :)
Well done! The game is beautoful and the concept very interesting. The funniest part is the beginning, when the windows keep coming out, then, it get a bit tedious because there is no much gratification managing these tiny worlds.
And since it's the first LD game I rate, this is my favorite so far ^^
it lags on my PC making it quite impossible to play (the orb react one second after I pressed the key...) But this looks beautiful and fresh! I love it anyway!
OooOooOoohh this game just feels so good!
I whish I had it on my gameboy as a kid
It's just a simple platformer but...I don't know...it just works!
I can't find the last feather though...I guess I'll never fly :(
I like the concept and the graphics very much!
Now the quest would deserve to be more diverse and the time limit longer because DAMN THIS IS SHORT
Also, the ghost cows' hitbox is weird, but i can understand...they're ghost cows after all
2 quests are my best score.
I liked the game overall, it's well made and not really knowing what we are doing or supposed to do isn't really a problem.
But seriously, I have a complain :
I had to wait like FIVE minutes to start playing the game, and I'm not talking about loading screen here, I'm talking about title screens slowly fading in and out to display a single phrase...
Ok, it sets the mood. But before having played your game, I don't know if it's good or not, I don't know if I want to play it, I don't know if it's worth 5 minutes doing nothing in front of my screen.
I'm know I'm making a big fuss of a small thing, but it really annoyed me ^^
This is REALLY fun! I'm impressed! It's like in Theme Park when you could be in your own attraction!
I was SO happy when I saw you made a game for this LD. And I wasn't disappointed at all! Really nice job! (Plus it's made with AGS <3)
WTF award indeed.
I love the mood of this and I think I even got what I was supposed to do. But I think the game lacks some feedback, the player doesn't really know if he's doing right or wrong (unless I was doing wrong all the time^^)
Excellent concept with an excellent realisation as always. A two player mode could be fun!
Although, the theme is a bit light.
I feel I already played that game of yours...twice ^^
These graphics were use in one of your previous game, right ?
And I suppose the concept is quite the same than Composition 37's one ?
Anyway, Great mood as always, and still a great concept if I'm not wrong.
This is totally unplayable without an xbox controller :(. Which is not a bad thing of course, I'm just sad I can't really play it. Only rating graphics and music, and both are great! :)
The Ludum Dare setting is funny
And the mathematical puzzles are clever
But the two of them don't mix that well. It feels like you tried to glue two ideas together. It doesn't make the game bad of course, but...yeah, something doesn't work.
Maybe you should have chosen one idea or the other, and exploited it more. anyway, congratulations!
Beautiful.
I really loves the gameplay too, even if it's more a toy than a game (or I didn't get it :/). I wished it was more difficult to pierce the...things, cause keeping the down arrow pressed always do the job.
The good thing is that even if I knew this would work, I acted like I didn't and try to be coordonate with the ball. Good job!
I really enjoyed it! Unfortunately I eventually lost a ball and got stuck! I'll have to play it all over again :( http://postimg.org/image/djcj14q1v/
Very very fun.
It took me ages to understand that I could move the sword with the mouse (first encounter with Pard) and I had fun anyway ^^ I even thought it was very innovative to forbid the player to turn away.
The game is a bit light on theme, but it is excellent overall. I wish I could use the W to jump though, and space to jump off the horse. Because A+D+Space+Mouse...Hey! I'm just an human, I only have two hands!
Very clever gameplay! I loved it (but it gets real hard after the red power up)
It's very laggy on my computer, which makes it difficult to play. But the concept is very original and clever, and that's enough to satisfy me!
My only critic on this one would be that it is easy to get lost, and it can get annoying, but, on the other hand, it contributes to the mood of the game (what am I doing here ? Where am I supposed to go ? Why ?). A lot of questions, not many answer, a great game overall.
Marry me!
The stealth game part is really cool, although it runs very slowly on my computer, but that is not your fault.
(You really like masks, do you ? ^^)
I think there might be a bug though because sometimes, instead of falling in the enemy base, I fall through it, and find myself in a large empty area where there is nothing to do. If it's a part of the game, I really didn't get this one. If not, you probably want to fix it :)
This is a very good idea to express minimalism
But god this is hard!
On the other hand, I think the regular Pong is way too hard too, so, maybe I'm the problem ^^
I'm drunk ha ha ha
This is a very interesting idea and I supposed it could be quite fun if my computer wasn't that slow (sounds are flickering...always)
As uprightpath said, a quick tutorial could have been nice, but it took me less than 30 seconds to understand
Using the Parisian subway map is SUCH a good idea. There are so many games to make with this only map, and yours is probably one of the best ones ^^
The game is hard, but fun! I guess knowing the metro lines might help (I don't)
I felt totally lost...which I think is a good thing. Some features were really disturbing...like the camera not always following the protagonist, but once again, it sets a mood. I got stuck in the black and white maze :/
Simple idea, simple graphics, great game. I never managed to finish my speech though
Haha very cool idea! I didn't get how the moustache/hat/look affect the fights, but whatever, I had fun. Sometimes the fights are a bit too loong though, it gets boring to watch.
Woah. The compo game is great. But the post-compo version is freaking AWESOME! Can't stop playing. Is there a way to stop the plague ?
GREAT JOB SIR!
Reminds me Inspector Gadget ^^
And Enviro-Bear in the Gameplay
It deserves to become a full lenght game (even if it's WAY good enough for 48h)
Not only the idea is great, but you also managed to make it fun AND relevant! I think the controls are fine, and the difficulty well balanced. I failed 3 or 4 time, then I won very easily with a great open network. I love it!
The aiming is a bit weird, but it doesn't spoil anything. I love the blocky graphics
I'm not much into shooters, but I have to confess this game is really fun, and very impressive overall. Everything is just right! Graphics, Audio, Fun...
It might not be very innovative, but who cares when it's perfectly done ?!
HEY! THIS IS FUN!Hard too, but that's why is fun.
The little misbehaving are really funny(but most of the time I lost because I was reading them instead of running ^^) The gameplay is really solid, the audio fits perfectly...Congrats!
This is a very innovative idea and a great take on the theme. But the controls are very weird. It took me about 5 minutes to get how this works, even with your explanations (what's a base ? Why can't I see the zombies in the base ?...)
Fortunately, it still managed to be fun once undestood!
Maybe it would have been better with smaller maps, because a game could be pretty long this way!
Good job anyway!
Superb Intro!
I had trouble to understand the game at first, and the fact that I had to launch the game again after I lost wasn't really helpful. But I eventually got it and had some good fun. It is not very difficult, you just have to be careful, it lacks a bit of strategy to become really fun, but it's already a pretty impressive Ld entry!
Level 4 (or was it five?) got pretty hard with a trackpad.
This is a very basic game, but it's still amusing!
Though, I feel something was missing : Someone screaming RELOAD when needed...How many points did I lose because I forgot to reload!
Funny things : This game reminds me those stupid (and vaguely ethics) shoot Bin Ladden/W.Bush games I used to play back in 2001. I had totally forgot about those!
Oh my! One of the most innovative and fun game I've played! I really really really love it! And it's even funny! The idea is funny, the monologs are funny and the 5 bullets in the end are funny too! (I would have given one bullet only, just for the fun)
Of course, the problem is the game gets boring after a while because the monologs turn into "muahahaha" and the difficulty isn't really incresing, (it even decreases). So I just gave up at 160s or something, and that's where the bullets made me laugh!
Please get some medals and make a bigger game out of it! (Oh yeah...and the Audio isn't that cool. Only flaw)
Wow, I really love the feel of the gameplay. there's a bigger game to make here. Also, the idea is funny!
Way too easy at first, then, SUDDENLY, way too hard. Can't beat what I think is the level 3 or 4 (Come one, you know which one I'm talking about!)
Anyway, this gameplay is very very very cool, and I'm being grumpy because it's very frustrating ^^
The best thing is, I think, that the game doesn't force the player to make "waves", but is clever enough to make us do it anyway (because it's more effective)
You really managed to get this Game & Watch feel. My only criticism would be that Santa doesn't seem to give a shit. He should try to stop me!
Anyway, great job!
Very cool idea, and it just works well! I had a lot of fun, and really felt evil! I'm glad this game now exists!
The game isn't really fun right now, but I can see the potential of a very neat little puzzle. I remember having fun choosing my path in Mario Party, this could totally work in here. The labyrinth should be more complex and hard, il would be a weird kind of rogue-like and I think I would enjoy it!
Playing as the referee is a great idea for the "You are the villain" theme ^^
At first I thought this game would be way too hard to play, and in fact, with a bit of concentration, it is not, and is very fun to play. Great games, greats graphics, great theme!
Very original game, and full of content! (at first I thought it would be MUCH shorter) This is a perfect compo game : simple, innovative, and complete! You got my voice sir.
I can't download it :/ dropbox seems to have some problems. I'll try later
The download links don't work :/ I want to play this game!!
The game is a bit hard to get, you should add a little tutorial, because I'm still not sure howw it workds exactly. the problem might be it's going a bit too fast...I just blinked and there was a HUGE amount of paupers running for my city!
It would be funny to let the player shoot at the paupers, a multitasking game with skills and strategy.^^
I failed at level 13. You really nailed the difficulty curve : even if the levels are very repetitive, it's fun to gon on because the targets are more and more clever/fast.
I also love the purple jacket ^^
It might be even harder/funnier if the chainsaw had a battery gauge. Mashing the space bar wouldn't work anymore!
You nailed it.
Very hard but very impressive!
I love it!
As a big minesweaper player, I had no difficulty to trick the cursor everytime, but I had a lot of fun anyway!
I love the innovative controls! It just feels good!
Very impressive work!
Like Caranha, I hope to be even more evil, torturing poke...critters and all! Bet seriously, what you did here is quite amazing.
Nice graphics and gameplay! The interpretation of the theme is a bit easy though...
I suck at this, but I love this.
Getting the phone number wasn't very obvious. But the rest was easy enough yo find.
Awesome graphics, I especially loved the groom!
My computer tells me there's a d3dx10-43.dll missing :/
Interesting mechanics, but a bit tedious to play. Maybe if the "charging" was faster ?
The graphics aud audio are excellent on the other hand!
I never gave THAT amount of stars before! This is my favorite in the whole compo (for now...of course, I don't know what tomorrow will be). This game is just perfect on every point, and my first playthrough was full of doubt.
First I harvested the plants, then I saw a blob, and of course, killed it. I thought "hey, this is gonna be easy!", I kept on fighting blobs and harvesting when I realised blobs weren't attacking me. So I stopped being a bad guy, dodged the blobs, and harvested the plants. And then, THEN, I step accidentally on a blob, and at this very moment, my head exploded : "WHAT ?! They don't even HURT me ?!" I felt SOOOO bad for the blops I killed before, and decided to never kill a blob even again. Facing the queen, I harvested softly the plants around her, to not wake her up, and went back to the shuttle. I was very disapointed to see I couldn't take off yet...So I did what you wanted me to do : I attacked the queen and felt terrible. You made me a villain.
Then I played thrice more, but never found the 4th medal :(
As I said, this game is awesome, and this is the one I would like to see with a gold medal.
I only got two things to complain about :
- I would have loved to come back to earth without fighting the queen, as I expected on my first run.
- The ending text screen. Seriously, your game is so good you really don't need those explanations. It sounds like a "I failed to convey what I wanted so I explain it to you", but you, as a matter of fact, didn't fail AT ALL.
"Oh...why do I kill those guyes ? I could just dodge them and take the cure from the plants", Then I reallob
Very good idea. At first, I thought I would play this like any platformer and then go back to get hurt enough to pass the door, but the level design was clever enough to forbid me to do that. I think this platformer could be turned into a great puzzle with more, harder levers.
The little voice is very cute ^w^
Very impressive!
Is the kiss the end ?
As you said, it's bit too less interactive
But also a bit too short as a story
The mood/music/graphics are so awesome that it's a bit frustrating in the end. I think this game deserve to be made!
(Oh...and I'm in love with the circle cursors)
I'm not sure I got what the white rabbit was, but I sure had a great (short) time!
Very good concept/story! This worth a full-stars theme!
Aside from that, the game is fun to play, but my computer/connexion is too slow so the sound is flickering a lot. I had to play mute. Too bad because the sounds were cool! (not your fault of course)
I was super good until the two last levels (with VW/XYZ) where I had only 3-4 survivors. One of the greatest game I played. Graphics are great, Gamaplay and controls are very innovative...the only problem is the theme, Ii's VERY slight.
Nice game!
The first level was a bit slow though (not much people on the scren)
Very cute!
I found it very easy...But maybe I should have try not to kill people...I don't know ^^
Nice game and nice story
2 Players + Scrollwheel ? You really don't want me to play, do you ?
I got no scrollwheel on my laptop and I'm pretty sure a lot of people are using a laptop...could you add some other commands ? RMB and LMB would totally do the trick!
Can't rate it yet :/ But the idea is cool, it reminds me this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=FR&hl=fr&v=Alw5hs0chj0
This is a simple and yet pretty cool idea! With the great realisation! I would say the only problem is that the ghosts don't really seem to need me to get Pacman :/ It get harder with the levels, but still
That was pretty entertaining :)
Now I want to destroy BIGGER CITIES!
the game looks good ans plays well. My onwly problem would be that the rock-paper-scissor idea might be a bit too simple for an RTS. I mean I don't feel very clever by winning a battle, nor very dumb by losing it. Anyway, it'a a pretty impressive work for 48h
And another Warioware! Yay!
The first part wes great, the second one was bloody awesome!
Press space to jump! Loved it!
This should have been the last one!
Really cool idea and great realisation! I love how warioware mini-games are taking over this compo (DedHedZed, Leon Arnott...)
I'm having a lot of fun since at least half an hour. But Nos I'm stuck : I don't find any crime to commit except stealing the TV, but I can't because when I give him the rocks, the owner go through a wall and the game gets stuck :/
Very good theme idea! And quite good puzzle!
Can't beat levels 7 and 8 though. Maybe because I'm too slow with my trackpad
I destroyed a truck with a knife and killed an angel with a mini-gun. My life is fulfilled.
The little sentences makes all the game! Without them, it would be a bit boring, with them, it's pretty fun to play! That was a very good idea!
Why do I want some ramen right now ?
This is an excellent RTS, I love the "scorched earth policy" feel! I agree with Eniko, the theme is a bit slight because it could have been anything else, but the colors and mood helps!
Nice take on the Theme. It's like a real-time peking mysteries (I loved this game so much as a child). I didn't use much the following feature, with the smart glass. Hints given are enough to find the criminal. I played twice, and twice I solved the mystery in one minute with three clues. I didn't find it difficult.
This totally deserves more levels. Very clever puzzles.
Sometimes the human come back to fall on traps that aren't even on their way, this is a bit weird, but aside from that, this is an excellent game!
You made me feel SOOO bad! You're even meaner than me/her!
As usual, I had a lot of fun playing your game. This is a very good management game, and at first, I was totally in love with it. I played and I played and then I started to be more critical. The problem is that the game isn't veru well balanced : after 2 or 3 tries I aborted just as soon as I got the mechanics, I played as the Lunatic and the Assassin Tower and won on Day 10. I didn't lose any fight because I used the Lunatic power every time, and I didn't even try medium or hard encounters, only easy. Still, every turn, I had enough money to fire the guys who had already played and hire some more to go on mission.
In the end, it was quite frustrating to win without even trying medium or hard cases.
So, my recommandations would be :
- Lower the power of the lunatic (for exemple : he can see the type of encounter, but not the strenght)
- Don't allow to fire people who have already played this turn
- At a time, don't spawn easy crimes any more, then no more medium crime.
Of course, I know this game was made in 48h, and this is already FREAKING awesome but I really would like to see a bigger version so this is why I give "hard" feedback. This entry is one of my favorite.
This is very funny, in a quite poetic way. It reminds me Little Nemo books!
2 HOURS? REALLY ?
This is a very good little games, I love the splashings!
I'm a bit sad for all these poor frogs now :(
Pretty simple, but funny and very well don, especiallly art and music. It could be the answer to http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-25/?action=preview&uid=14195 ^^
This was pretty awesome. On every way.
This is very clever, and actually quite fun! One of the best take of the them I've seen yet.
The characters are disturbingly adorables.
If this doesn't win a medal in graphics, then people are blind! I don't think working on the font was a waste of time. It sure reminds me L'abbaye des Morts de Locomalito than the ZD Spectrum games, but probably because I've never played one of those.
The idea of adapting a movie is pretty cool too (well...I know a lot of movie a adapted to video games, but I mean "in an indie way")
I think I went pretty far in the game, but I got stuck on a level where the guy was himself stuck and went back to the upper ladder. Didn't had enough lives to solve it out. Having a limited amount of lives is a cool way to give a retro feel, but not a pretty good way to make the players play the game to the end. I'll probably try again later, but for now, after two tries, I'm a bit discouraged. (But I'm not a hardcore gamer)
I need to find a friend to try this, but it's still fun to play alone (even if much harder, my right hand is doing great while my left hand keep making mistakes!)
Overall, the game is great! Pretty, fun...everything! It doesn't even need music, it sounds just great like this.
It's probably because the characters are called Jake and Elliott but I would totally see this bar somewhere on Kentucky Route Zero. ^^
This is really hard!
I managed to get to the end once, but screwed it because i press the arrow keys before reading what was going on (too much stress)! This is an awesome entry, on every single point. Except audio of course, the game really needs audio, but I guess you know it, and there is no need to remuer le carambar dans la carie.
I love the mood, I love the gards' different patterns, I love the graphics, I love the talking, I love the choices, I love the crazy man, and I'm sure I'll love the ending when I'll manage to get through the game a second time.
I really didn't understand why the number of bullets changed. At first I thought the further you went on your previous try, the higher number of bullet you get, and I thought it was a PERFECT idea to counterpart the difficulty of the game (something like "hey, you already managed to go that far with your fists, here, take these bullets")
I like how this game, just like Zed's one, manage (thanks to their humor) to make me enjoy basic gameplays that are usually boring. I also like how you didn't even try to make it hard and let us players run through the game and have fun. This is a solid entry!
This is a very clever idea, but very hard to make it works. If you hadn't wrote "play the game twice" I wouldn't have and would have quit without understanding, but because you wrote it, I guess what would happened (and I was right).
This should be intensively frustrating!
A good way to make it works might have been to open a new browser window/tab when the game closes, but I'm not sure it's something possible.
Anyway, you got my deep respect sir!
(Oh yeah I forgot : best take on the theme I've seen so far)
This is a really funny (and good) idea. I appreciate the irony; The game is fun to play, and the music/sounds clearly help to feel involved!
It took my 5 times to finish the 3 achievement, and I must say I've been a bit disapointed to see there wasn't any ending screen after that, so I just let me die (what was the point to go on ? My score wasn't even recorded)
That would be my main criticism.
Also, the heart system seems a bit glitchy, sometimes, my hearts just disapeared (not red, not yellow, not empty : nothing), that was a bit disturbing to no know for sure how much I had left.
The level design is just perfect. I don't rate it yet just to be sure to play it again later (I'm at work right now)
I really love the idea!
Too bad the game is very glitchy (but I'm sure it can be fixed easily)
Cool punchline.
The graphics are wonderful! And the gameplay is quite inspired! Solid entry!
My only problem is the font. It's great to give a Lord of the rings feeling but...it's quite impossible to read!
Waiting for connection for 15 minutes...:/
Sounds good though. I'll tried later
There's not much to do in this game.
The villain's design was good though. Too bad you didn't have time to finish a proper entry.
One criticism : the attack "reduce damage for 1 turn", "might dodge the attack for a turn" aren't interesting at all, cause it just makes you loose a turn. It would be more efficient if it lasts 2-3 turns.
Aside from that, this game is awesome. It reminds me the deepnight's entry I played earlier, but I like more the strategic aspect of this one. (Deepnight still win on the graphics ^^, even if yours are pretty cool)
"a really long summon animation..." That makes me laugh!
I finished the three levels and totally would have played some more. I like how the heroe's crew grow, how their level increse, how they find/use objects on the way...
You didn't forget anything! Very impressive!
Very interesting idea!
I had some trouble to get that the people I was looking for were actually people and not drawings of people of something (I don't know...)
I would like to play a longer game just like this! Playing a sniper killer, but where the skills needed isn't aiming but observation and deduction.
I really dig the title too ^^
Nice one! A lot of nice touches in there.
Too bad it's way too easy. I would have loved a bit more strategy, like attacking the cities in a correct order to keep the cash flowing, because right now, the most efficient strategy is to take a 5 minutes break and come back ^^
I think the GUI buttons could be improved too, maybe with symbolic icons instead of text.
Anyway, it's a great work. They should make a 007 movie about it! ;)
I stroke the turtle like crazy during 20 seconds before realizing I had to skip the last dialog line firt.
I played the 2nd level 20 times before realizing I could just say on the middle of the road...
Now I feel dumb. Thank you.
As usual, your game made me laugh out loud, as usual (and as Matthias), I like the low-fi approach and as usual, your mouth-made audio is great.
I like how you managed to make me play boring mini-games and feel satisfied about it.
The annoying thing is I also made a games with mini-games and funny-narration, but now I realize it's not as good :/
I'm not sure If I found the ending either, but it's a nice piece of art. Great atmosphere.
I hope Terry Cavanagh will play this.
This is not that hard, I beat the boss on my second try. The week spot was pretty obvious to me (but I knew there was a weak spot so, it could have helped).
In the end, the boss fight isn't very original, since it just looks like a regular shmup boss fight. I found the "Don't shoot your own fleet" idea more interesting and hoped it lasts longer (with more content of course).
Anyway, this is a pretty nice little game, and I really love the graphics! Very pure!
God! That hero is tough!
Very impressive entry as usual!
Woah! I wasn't convinced at first but it turned out to be really good! The character really looks like an action/thriller movie bad guy, and I love the GTA (1&2) feel in it! Skinning people is by far the funnier.
I didn't beat the game cause I'm not very good at it but also because the controls are weird. I would have loved a simpler way to change power, like right click for exemple, or a different button for each power (LMB to shoot, RMB to skin, spacerbar to clear the zone...)
I got burried alive under a mountain of giant cubes...so close...that was epic! Thanks you, this is the best LD game I've played so far. Now I hope there will be other ones that good!
You've got some pretty cool mechanics here : the jumping and shooting feel just great! Too bad you didn't have time to finish a real level.
(Also : Avast didn't seem to like the downloaded game file much, I don't know why. You might want to find a way to fix that)
Fun game with lovely animation.
Though, I think the interpretation of the theme is a bit easy...I mean...aren't all shooters about evolving monsters and increasing difficulty ?
Anyway, good job!
I played it on a laptop (without real mouse) so it wasn't really fun, but I can see how it could be fun on a smartphone. I like the graphics and sounds too.
If this game doesn't win a medall in graphics, this whole competition is biaised ^^
No seriously...This is beautiful! I can't even understand how it was made.
The whole game is good too! Fun to play, and the music reminds me of Sonic and Knuckles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF99oeiaznk )
Very good game, but I had to look for some spoilers in the comments to finish the game. I think the thinking process is a bit too slow, I got stuck a long time just because I wasn't patient enough.
Very clever idea, and highly polished! Impressive! (doesn't work well on firefox, but works on Whrome)
My only question is : Why did you used World of Goo graphical design ? You could have created your own design to give your game more personnality.
This is a really clever idea and probably one of the best take on the theme. The only problem is that the game is too hard to fully appreciate it, I never go very far :(
I just watched the War Games movie, so it was kinda fun to play this after that. I felt I could stop a nuclear warfare.
Anyway, the rules are easy to get, the game is fun to play, but I would like to try it with a friend because th AI isn't smart enough (played thrice, won thrice) It might be a very good strategy game...we'll see!
On windows, it's quite difficult to play because of the click and drag mechanics which is not working well. But I love the graphics, and I can feel it could be better on Android! So I'm gonna try as soon as I can on a tablet
This is a nice game, and I like the distance metric. Of course, the game is repetitive, but that's why it fits the theme well! Congrats
Spending point to increase attack/defense didn't seem interesting, but discovering the different planes and their controls associated was fun and exciting.
Few tips I would give : The glider isn't fun at all to play, I know it's intentional and it shouldn't change, but maybe you should decrease the price of the first upgrade to 500, just to be sure anyone can get the balloon after his first flight. Here, in the LD, we're ok to spend some time on the game, just to rate it well, but outside the LD, people will quit if they get bored after 30 seconds
Second tip : another easy change : enemies' bullets looks like ennemies' explosions (same colour), that can get confusing sometimes.
Anyway, great game and impressive work for 48h!
Just played the game, got bored because it was a text adventure, read the awesome comments, tryed again. AND WOW! Nobody should ever give up on a game after 5 seconds playing...EVER!
I love the concept (I get it only until reading your description) This is an awesome idea that deserves lots of innovation/theme points. But unlike some of the commentators here, I didn't find the game very challenging. No real difficulty curve, levels that all looks the same (you explained why)...
So, the game wasn't as fun as I was expecting, but I'm sure it could be!
This is surprinsigly addictive and challenging! Oh...AND clever!Oh...and hard!
At first, I lost all my items inside the ground, and it was difficult to figure what was what. I love the black and white graphics, the blop animation and the ending music, but I was expecting the babies to evolve.
Had to use the walkthrough.
I would like to see this game improved, with more lenght.
Well...you got me.
that was terrifying.
it lags a bit on my computer, preventing me to play it well, but it's rather funny!
Fireworks!
That intro/instruction screen is way too long and useless. I can affirm it's useless because I didn't read it and had fun playing anyway. The game doesn't look very good but the gameplay mecanics are strong and it's really fun to play. Someone talked about an annoying woooosh sound, I agree with that.
Overall this is good!
The ending is a bit disapointing...but excellent mood from the beginning to the end
A Mega Drive game ? SRLY ?
I'm so frustrated now! I got a mega drive just here and I have to download an emulator grr
(playing the game)
OH SHIT
(30min later)
Ok...this is the perfect exemple of a game who looks bad and feels good. I had a LOT of fun. Now I want to play a longer version (with checkpoints or passwords...) on my mega drive ^^
Reminds me of marudziik game I played earlier. I don't know which I love the best ^^ So similar and so different at the same time.
Very relaxing. I like the fact that you actually can see the pictures and name the birds.
This is a good job for 10 hours. But well, it's a pretty simple puzzle. I wonder why you made a walkthrough for it ^^ I think the main problem is that you spend your time waiting, like in a RTS...but it's definitely not a RTS and you got nothing else to do. I think you could focus on the puzzle idea, but instead of waiting, it would be "spend Xfood, Xiron to build a farm, gain Xfood" it would be like a mathematical puzzle. With more features, it could be fun.
pretty basic, but very entertaining
As you say, the world is massive, but everything looks quite alike so it gets boring in the end. Anyway this game is really impressive, graphics, sounds, mood, everything is perfect! I love the big weapons, the animations, and at first the game creeps me out. Yeah, the only flaw is that it gets boring after 20minutes (and 20 minutes is LONG for a LD game)
It seems great but too much complicated to me...you should make a post compo version with a playable tutorial
I don't know what to think about it. Well...this is obviously great, but I feel I can't perfectly get it. It's probably because my english isn't very good...I mean...usually I can read english pretty well, but THIS english confuses me, too many words I've never met (now I sound dumb).
Anyway, despite the fact that this is very frustrating for me, I can feel there is something strong in this game, something very sexual. The graphics are really intriguing too, and it conveys a great mood. It reminds me...something. But I'm not able to figure what it is ^^
This is excellent. I have no time to test the squirmish mode, but I will.
Beautiful and fun to play!
The flame-thrower blood effects are INSANE!
This is not my kind of game but I finished it anyway, I suppose it means it is quite good! Like defiantburrito said, I didn't even tried to kill the enemies, maybe that's a problem
It's almost impossible to figure out what to do to keep a lot of blocks alive...it's very random (well, i know it's not random at all, it's pure logic but it's too hard for a human brain)
Anyway, takes on Conway's Game of Life are always interesting, and this one is no exception. I had fun to watch all these glider evolves, as usual
I...just...can't...stop...playing
Best take I've seen on the theme and the game is incredibly fun. I like how it makes you feel bad to commit genocides and all "Sorry kitten, you got tentacles...I have to kill you."
it took me like 5 tries to get to level 2-3...and now I think I'm level 6 or 7. It is very annoying when the game ask you to mutate something you already mutated (all your cats got big horns ? Now gimme small horns!) but that's why the game is fun and addictive too. Thanks for the X button to speed up, it helps a lot
PLENTY OF STARS IN YOUR FACE
Getting on the top is very challenging! Cool!
Graphics, sounds, etc could be improved, but the gameplay is good, it's a solid base for an hypothetical future game.
Played it on Android, and it was a lot of fun. It probably will be tiny-reviewed in french on android-mt.com tomorrow.
Got bunny in the hat achievement.
As many others, couldn't figure what to do exactly, but anyway, it seems there is a good concept here. I think what is lacking the most is a manual. Also yeah, I'm not sure you're allowed to use AOE sounds
Nice little tamagoshi. There wasn't much to do but hey, like in every tamagoshi. The animations are great, and it's a good way to spend 7 minutes
the game itself isn't very fun (pretty basic to me and I don't like shoot'em up much) but you did an awesome work with the graphics and sounds so it becomes really enjoyable for 5 minutes. shooting nuns is fun.
The editor is a bit difficult to use, but anyway, the idea is great, and the game worth 10x playing because of this. Congratulations
This is the best compo game I played so far. It totally could be a winner, the lack of sounds is of course the only flaw. I can't believe you've made this all by yourself in 48h...it's just WOW!
If you want to make a post compo version or a bigger game, I would suggest you to improve the Inventory window, especially the ability to replace an object equiped or on the craft table by another one in one click only (instead of two). Maybe it's because I've been used to the Minecraft system...but even if it's true...a lot of people have been used to it ^^
Wow.
We thought we were badasses by making a game in stop-motion, but you're the true badasses. This is really impressive! The game is good, not excellent, but just good enough to be enjoyed, but seriously...WHO CARES ? It's a game in cross-stich! I would love it even it the gameplay were horrible!
Reminds me Six Shots of Whiskey...obviously because it's made with cross-stich too (http://nifflas.ni2.se/?page=Miscellaneous )
Seriously, congrats!
this is gold.
This is so weiiird (and cool)
I played twice to get the two endings, and I must tell you this is brillant.
The game is good of course, it's a sweet platformer, challenging and all, but the story makes it even greater. But you know what is the greatest ? That choice at the beginning of the game! Having to chose the ending at the very beginning is a really frustrating and interesting idea.
My new favorite LD Game. This is like...exactly the kind of game I would have loved to make. It was really fun to play it, and I'll play it again since I eventually failed (not enough cash, no way to finish the job)
Small problem with the loading, it says "a script don't answer", I ignore it and then it works. Made my browser panick for a minute.
No really, I don't have words to describe how cool this game is! Of course, the only thing missing is sound, then, it would be just perfect (but it already is for a LD game!)
Evolution theme is a bit thin, but I can see it.
I'm drunk and this is just great
Love the art, love the story, love the humor. Love that unusual take on fighting games.
Love it.
I had problem getting out the playground too, didn't see your tips. Something you should fix. Also, some things/people were hard to interact with, especially while using objects. I'm thinking of Nixon's nose or Jacky.
The game is great, I don't know which I prefer between this one and subAtomic, I suppose it's a good thing. It makes me smile, and was challenging enough for a point & click lover. Some sound would have been great, but I know that problem ^^
Cooooooooooool!
It was fun to try to discover every species, even if they looks too much alike according to me.
Small bug maybe : I felt the top bar was in inadequation with the species' colors. For exemple, when I tried to keep the blue specie alive, the red color on the topbar grew. Weird, but not a big problem though.
Very innovative gameplay, as usual. Not as good as the previous game you made for Ludum Dare according to me, but still a pretty solid entry! With a bit more content, maybe procedurally generated or something, it would become REALLY addictive.
I didn't manage to finish the game...probably because of a bug or something because I couldn't use my breakfast out of my inventory (while I could use the cat).
Graphics are really impressing for 48h! I love the main character
Gameplay is a bit clunky, but the game is fun and the rat is cool. There still seems to be some bugs cause I got stuck on a black screen and then the game closed suddenly.
Nice evolutive audio and nice loading title too
There is a gap I can't cross...jumping is sometimes weird but overall, the game is a fine amusement.
After three tries, only find what I suppose to be the bad ending. There is a great mood in this one, it makes you think there's something else going on, something deeper. I like how the player don't even have a clue at first, and I didn't understand the same thing on my first and second try. Until the end, I wondered if this whole story was true or not, like in a fantastic novel, I felt that girl was totally paranoid and felt more sympathy with Joe on my first try. Then I played differently and identify to her instead. The game is a bit frustrating because it makes me feel it would be much better if you had more time to spend of it (even if it's already awesome for 48h) I hope you'll work on it to makes it feel complete!
funny thing : on Firefox when I press up and down in game, the webpage scrolls up and down. Even after focusing on the game with my mouse. This isn't a big deal though, and it makes me thing I would love to play a game taking advantage of this glitch ^^
This idea sounds very promising, unfortunately, yeah, the game isn't finished at all. I would like to play further versions
I've noticed a bug : on my second try, I skipped the intro, and the bottom of the screen didn't change (i.e : no lifebars). Maybe it's because I couldn't play it to the end (my computer is slow and those kitties are bitches!) but I found the theme a bit light.
Aside from that, this is a marvellous game, as usual! Congrats!
That game is awesome but I've got a lot of trouble running in smoothly on my computer, so it's hard to win. Is there a cheat for infinite lives for slow computers ? ^^
I got the same problem with the mouse, I closed the game, tried it again, and it works perfectly.
Now let me ask something : WHY 25 TURNS ?
The game is really really really cool, I love it! Evolving is fun, exploring is fun, eating and killing is fun...but why does the game has to stop after 25 turns ? I wanted to explore more! I had so much thing to discover yet!
Crap! I have to play it again ^^
I like how is it just impossible to win if you don't pick the right evolutions. For exemple, I couldn't beat the thirs badguy because I focused too much on defense. Then, I couldn't beat the sixth one because I wfocused too much on attack! Funny! looks like a RPG, but it's a puzzle! ^^
Won on the third time
Nice concept, quite innovative! But the controls bother me a bit...a don't like how the sphere accelerate, I would have preferred a constant speed.
At first I thought I was invinvible and tried to use the hazards at my advantage. Bad idea.
This is a very good and relaxing game. I hopê I'll eventually find the last species (but I'm too afraid of the bottom...)
It doesn't work on my computer :/
The game runs, I can hear the music, I can see it on my task bar, but there is no way to open the window and play. I think it is the more frustrating bug I've ever seen! Congrats! (I'll come back later to play it, I hope there is a solution)
Y U NO WRITE WE'RE SUPPOSED TO CLICK ON THE MUTATIONS?
(great game)
700 points, srly ?
How is that possible ?!
My best is 135 :/
Anyway, I think your time has come too and Ludum Dare should grant you two humor medals!
Not very exciting, but smashing rocks and evolving was fun.
Awesome game!
My only critic would be that the scoring system isn't very exciting. I don't know what could replace it though.
Everything else is excellent!
TAKE THAT BITCHES!
This is gold
Only one level ? Too bad, cause the concept would have been fun to play.
Very addictive. I wished armours could mutate back to speeders. Keep working on it, it's worthy !
I love the smooth animations! This is a really good game, beating it was very challenging for a game this small. I smiled a few times too! Very good one!
My favorite so far!
Simple, since very addictive. The music and the screens around ys convey a great mood.
I went to level 3 on my 3rd try, then didn't manage to beat it. But I'll probably retry
First question : is that normal that the game doesn't end (I'm stuck in what is probably the last stage (future) without no way to win or to die [Invicible])
Second question : Will we really have to were those pink suits in the future ?
Nice game and awesome title screen
Nice (and beautiful) game but does anything happens after I reach top evolution ?
The game is way too slow a first, but still, we wanted to play it to the end, and were agreably surprised. Great mood!
Wow! That's short! At first I though I had to crack the safe, but didn't manage to do it. I killes the bad guys instead and Woof! The end.
fun little game though
It didn't work on my computer, nor the zip nor the exe...It get stuck after the title scree,/instruction screen
Page still not found
Blank screen after the nyan cat (firefox)
Nice little game. A bit short and a bit slow.
I really REALLY wanted to be the best dinosaur...maybe because these kids were watching me and were so enthusiastic! It's a really sweet game but I won't be the best dinosaur either
Same problem (firefox)
I couldn't pass through the "spikes"...am I stupid or what ? Love the aspect of this first level though
I didn't manage to control it well enough to start evolving. I'm still curious of what's ahead...
I would have enjoyed more level cause the concept is good
Haha! At first we wanted to make a Grow-like with board-games, so I'm glad you've made this one!
It would be cool to know which button we can click and which we can't, also, the dialogs windows (between two console) were all blank. Is tha normal ?
Fun but I died a lot without seeing a single banana...
At last I tried this game! And this is brillant, as I expected! Love the title screen, love the art, the idea, the music...As some people said, the only problem would be that there is nothing much to do except clicking randomly and see what happens, no real puzzle. Now I'm gonna try the post-jam version!
This is good! This is very good! I only found 34 planets...but that was quite enough to have a great fun!
Really addictive, one of the most addictive I've played. It's great to play it with a single hand with the arrow keys (I say that because I've seen a lot of games with bad controls, these ones are great)Let me restart the game with the down arrow key instead of R and that would be perfect, I could play while smoking my cigarette
I've played recently a similar game on Kongragate (tactical...on a spaceship...with aliens) and I loved it. But if this one is shorter and less rich (which is normal) it has something more. The minimalism....the silence...I don't know. It feels just right. Congratulations.
Yes, you made me smile.
This concept is awesome and now I'm SOOOO frustrated. Level 4 was the best! I want to play more level 4!
The gameplay remind me Tiny Hawk (which is not a bad critic). The game feels good, but I think the moving ennemies are a problem...because in the end, you really need some luck to finish the levels. It is quite impossible to find the correct pattern...you should work on it! :)
Simple, but very effective. Reminds me One and One Story, which is a great game too.
This is a very impressive work. I haven't enough patience to build some great levels, so I'm gonna try the post compo version...but stil...woah...can't believe you've made it in 48h!
Ok. This is awesome.
I'm a huge fan of Agricola, I've played it A LOT, but not as much as I would like to because I don't have many friends who like Agricola :/
I've tried some web version of Agricola, and it was BORING, moreover, everything was so tiny it wasn't even playable.
So...when I saw you tried to made an Agricola inspired game for this Ludum Dare, I was very excited.
And I'm not disapointed.
Strict Farmer isn't a video game version of Agricola, it's a game inspired by Agricola, but much more simple, short, and easy to play, and that's why it's great. I took me around 1 minute to get all the mechanics, then I played 4 ou 5 times (so 1 minute wasn't too long)
Of course, I'm not 100% satisfied, this game is GREAT; but was made in 48h so it can't be perfect (and it's quite impressve already). So here's my only critic :
- THE AI IS DUMB! ^^
Ok, I suppose it's because I'm an Agricola fan, so the game is quite easy to me in front of an AI, but I was expecting the hard AI to be really tough, it's not enough ^^ I beat him by 2/3 points everytime (and right now...I'm a bit drunk, so it's not supposed to happen ^^)
Strict farmer is a game I enjoyed to play, but now, I want it to be a game I'll enjoy to play everyday, so make it harder ^^
Some tips :
- I noticed the AI sometimes send a farmer to the flag, even if he's already the first player...that is stupid ^^
- I noticed the AI relies way too much on fishing (to get 2 food) You should teach him to make his own food!
Well, anyway, thank you. Obviously I give you five stars.
This is great, so much better than Bit Trip Runner and co. Rythm is REALLY important!
Sometimes, it was very hard because my computer is a bit slow and I'm afraid it breaks the rythm, but the whole thing is awesome.
Ony problem : Where is the theme ?
I love the graphics!
Expendables : The movie!
Good puzzles, good graphics, good game!
One of the greatest entries!
This is a winner!
Great game. My only problem is that the game sometimes freeze and becomes unplayable (dino running without any key pressed) but that's probably m'y computer/internet connection fault.
I should be dumb because I didn't manage to plant seeds...Morevoer, the arrow buttons didn't work and I played with the mouse. Can't rate yet ^^
Interesting concept! It deserves to be developed further!
It lags A LOT on my computer, I don't know why. I love the graphics, and I really would like to play the finished game
The game is hard, and controls a bit weird (why not WS to cling and drop bombs ?) but this is one of the most enjoying gameplay I've seen so far. It reminds me Nitrome's Sky Serpent, which is good!
That was weird...Cool
I spent WAY too much time on this game. Congratulations, this is brilliant.
It was so great I played it thrice. This is one the the best ideas I've seen on this LD, and one of the best games I've played.
A bit boring, but well done
2120 on my first try, and I'll try again.
Honestly, I think it's great that you can't rotate pieces, it makes the game easier.
This is already a great puzzle!
Controls are weird...why no WASD ? Why a middle mouse button ? I haven't any middle mouse butoon nor gamepad. No bullet time for me.
Anyway, the games works fine and is quite fun to play
Megasnail ? You mean GIGAsnail!
Now I want to see a movie out of it!
Not bad!
There is a pretty good game hidden somewhere! You should work on it. Mining planets is fun
Pretty innovative.
I would have liked to know how much energy was left
I ragequit at level 4 (too hard)
Funny game
Quite impossible to play with a trackpad, but this game should be awesome with an actual mouse. It's beautiful.
I wish there I could had played games like that back then
Hard, but good!
48h, really ? That's very impressive! Some jumps were very hard! But I enjoyed it.
TELEPORTING WAS SO COOL!
A short death animation would have been nice, but this is already a very very impressive game, and quite innovative for a bullet-hell.
Very innovative puzzle! Same problem than DaveDobson, the only thing annoying was to count the children to fill each planet. Maybe it would be better if you could just decide to give a half to this one, a quarter to this other one, etc. But this is great
Funny how this gameplay looks stupid and is actually very clever! Congrats!
YOU MADE A GREAT GAME!
Now I want to be in love!
This is an AWESOME GAME! But...where is the theme ? :/
Clever but very difficult, difficult but very clever
I like the idea of designing a level for a small hero, and putting a huge hero in instead.
I'm never been very good at bomberman, so I didn't get very far. But it's quite an impressive game for 48h!
First time making a game ? Really ? This is one of the most clever game I've played in this Ludum Game. THIS is innovative ans THIS is a wonderful take on the theme.
Ok! Now I want comet storms to be implemented in Minecraft! There wasn't much to do but the animations are AWESOME.
I wished I could breath fire forever. It was fun to play but hard with a trackpad.
Planet jumping is hard (especially taking of from bigger planets) but the game is lovely
This is hard, but now, I'm in love with an island
Ok, this is awesome, but it is very hard (and that's cool). My only complaint would be : please add a cancel button, something like Ctrl+Z to cancel the last movement because it is really annoying to have to start over because your finger sliped of because the computer lagged for a second...
I thoughy Alice in Wonderland would be a nice idea to fit the theme, I'm glad someone did it.
Hard to play on keyboard, but great anyway! I really really love it
This blue guy has some great friends, I hope he's aware of it!
Congratulation, you almost made me ragequit with the last item to get. It was SO HARD!
Interesting game, it would have fit perfectly the non verbal communication theme, but it fits Tiny World anyway!
I escaped! Yay!
Great experience. The intro was a bit long, I tried to skip the dialogs with the spacebar and kept falling asleedp, that was weird ^^
A lot of good different concepts here! You mixed them up very well and the worm was awesome!
Yay biology!
Funny! At first I thought I were on the top of somebody's head. The moonwalking ants are the best! ^^
This world seems so small at the beginning and so huge in the end...that's a great feeling. I love the colors too!
Looks good, but my computer really got some problems with Java Games, and I don't know why. they lag A LOT, even when downloaded :(
I don't want to play the game in the wrong conditions and risk to rate it worse than it worth.
I don't know why, but Circus Flea is something that always made me laugh. When I was a kid, I loved to feign I got a circus flea and that it was doing tricks, I guess everybody did (or I am THAT weird ?). Obviously, I really really loved this game, lot of memories, lot of smiles and the gameplay is actually good!
Lovely, and the difficulty was perfect to me (not too hard, not to easy) I only used the bow because I'm a coward (except for mushrooms, mushrooms aren't scary ^^)
That is a rich game! Very impressing!
There is still some bugs here...sometimes, when I quit a room to the left, I enter another room...from the left. That's weird. But maybe it's normal...
OH OK I GET IT: IT WAS A CUBE!
Nice game with nice character design but...i didn't want Jump Jump JR being beaten :(
Wow...that's what I call jumping...
The concept is nice and the graphics too, but the controls are reacting weirdly
I don't like text adventures much (especially because it isn't something natural to me to read in english). But the graphics are great so i will only rate them :)
Pure awesomeness.
Reminds me of Frequon Invaders or The Divine is Hidden Behind the Noise of the World (but I think this last one is yours...^^)
I get stuck though, with the blinking red circle. I got the "pattern" but everytime the circle was too big, he just vanished. Is this the end of the game ? I want to play more!
This is very funny, fun to play, innovative, hairy...Congrats!
I don't like the graphic style much, but it is a good graphic style
It doesn't work for me. The game run, but the controls don't answer. I think the problem is that I'm on a laptop, so I haven't any numpad. The numbers on the top of the keyboard don't work.
But even if it worked with the numbers on the top of the keyboard, this game would have been unplayble on a laptop, because without the numpad, the controls wouldn't make any sense and it would have been incredibly hard to play (not hard in a good way). Controls are very important in a game, and they should be thought for every kind of keyboard (which is hard, I know).
Anyway, I want to play this game, so I'll try later on my office computer :)
Mixing RTS and shooter is a great idea! The only problem is that the game si very répetitive and the enemies' town too big. It would have been better with an increasing difficulty (first a small town, then, a medium one, then a big one...)
Looks like the main character was invicible. I think it's better that way (he's too big to be shoot down) but why does he have a lifebar then ?
Rocket launcher yay \o/
This is a fun game :)
It is nice, but the game is far too slow. I gave up when I died the first time
same as ratboy : it was hard to find out what colour we should find. I think the game itself is too hard, but it is a great concept and should be improves
...you've made me killed them all...you're a monster!
If I could rate 10/5 in mood, I would. Each click made my heart shiver, I first was afraid, and then, after the blocks jumping (witch I failed at least 20 times) I was hateful.
Looks like I was YOUR puppet.
This is incredibly hard. I can't imagine what it would be without your strategy guide. But there is something very strong in this game. At the opposite of the traditionnal "civilisation" games, each death is a tragedy, each birth/house built a very happy moment. Moveover, the fact that the game is slow makes it very very immersive.
It is a great success according to me.
Absolutely awesome. I love that we die in a single shot.
Ok this is awesome.
I played it without sound some hours ago, and came back to be sure this game is perfect. It is ^^
But this is hard too...I only discoverd how to trees, special trees, make crates and chests...YET!
It is as more interesting and funnier according to me to try to not hurt the villagers/break their house at the beginning than to smash to bad ones. Also...Why only three lifes ? That's hard! I died at the castle and didn't want to play all over.
Like MurrayL said, jump isn't working great.
A lot of negative critics, sorry, but I'm trying to be helpful ;) It's a sweet game I would like to see improved
I think it would have been better played with keyboard (arrows + space for exemple). This is the main reason I didn't get to the end. Maybe I'll try again when I'll have more time
I loved the meta aspects. I really felt I was exploring Ludum Dare : a tiny world where everybody's nice :)
This is so cute!
Reminds me some other games but is pretty unique in his way...looks like a Facebook social game which would actually be fun.
It would be great with some music and an increasing difficulty (the happiness meter was useless, filled very quickly)
Very weird.
I love the cutscene screens!
Very interesting idea. still a litle buggy (for exemple, I can't read the end of Molydoux monologue).
...Now where is this damn grail ?!
It was nice to see Never Alone Hotline between Fable and Heavy Rain ^^
The perfect idea!
WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT ?
First, you break my neck, then, you make me sad! Well done!
Seriously, it's a very nice game, even if I didn't understand why everything was upside down. Great visuals, too bad there isn't any music.
Not as innovative as usual, but still amusing and very fun to play (especially using the bad guy to jump higher^^)
Great concept! Too short of course! The last level was really really cool and I wanted to go higher and higher...
The controls are very hard! But the graphics and animations are great, so that's OK ^^
The game runs very slowly (as you said) which makes it very difficult to play. This aside, graphics and audio are wonderful
Haha! Great idea...
After a while I wondered if the plane was even catchable or if you just wanted me to burn the whole earth (which I did actually...sorry Earth people)
I was going to say that I didn't like the intro scene graphics much but I just read you made it in 4 hours..whoah! that's impressive!
I didn't know you could make card games with RenPy.
I played thrice and enjouyed it (win/lose/win) but honnestly didn't have time enough to try to build my own deck. The game isn't self-explanatory at all and you should work on the card design to make it easier, but the tutorial was just perfect, and I get it very quickly. About the game itself, it has good mechanics but isn't perfect yet : it's easy to get stuck with plenty of ressources and nothing to build. In this case, you can just discard one card at a time, and you're sure to lose.
The atmosphere is great, I really was in a forest with tiny gnomes and I enjoyed that!
Anyway, I'm really really really glad to have tried this one!
OooOOh! I didn't know you guys were on this Ludum Dare! Can't wait to play this game! (Oh wait...what about playing it now ? See you later)
I wasn't convinced at the beginning, but then I realised I HAD TO FINISH THIS GAME! It's a great and funny roguelike and the magic spells with blood pudles are a great idea. The boss was beaten easily in the end
I would have loved to have you as my dad :)
Well...it's as boring as it is fun (I'm not sure what does it mean...)
Sweet! Too bad farms and factory look alike (same colors). Great feeling.
It's lagging like hell on my computer, I don't know why. I only can rate the graphics (which are great by the way)
As I already told you : I love this game!
"Happy birds were singing all around" ^^
The game is weird (in my mind, it means : good). You found a great way to tell a story. Of course, it lacks some polish but I was genuinely happy to play ot
Well...If you tried to make something fully understandable, I think you failed...but I'm pretty sure you didn't ^^
I'm not sure I understood how to beat the ennemy, but...that's not very important after all! I had some fun, the music fits perfectly and I love the whole mood of the game...this "I don't understand shit but I love what I am playing anyway" mood.
At least, I managed to finish this one ^^
I'm not sure it's working...
Some text appeared on the screen then the little character, then nothing...what is it supposed to do ?
The game itself isn't very fun nor challenging, but cutscenes are the best!
A treat for the eyes!
The graphics are wonderful, as I expected! It refreshing to see great graphics that aren't pixel art.
I suppose you were clearly inspired by Grow (I hope so...because if not, you just invented an awesome gameplay that was invented some years ago ^^)
I also loved the planets' names, that was a great idea, and it makes me want to fail many times to find all of them.
Actually, I'm thinking it would have been even better if the goal wasn't to find the good planet, but to find them all...I mean...they're all great!
Wooa...only 3 lives ? That's hard man! Especially with the reverse buttons
But the gameplay works well, and it is actually fun!
The link says "Windows" but it's actually a browser game. You should change it.
About the game. The concept looks great, but it's quite hard to know what is the better thing to do (Well...I know that's the whole point but...)
I think it would be far more interesting with more complicated rules and more objects (like animals etc) but that is a great start!
Awesome graphics and neat concept. There is still something missing though...I don't know...In the end, clicking farms becomes a bit boring...but not boring in the "this game sucks" way, boring in the "THIS GAME WOULD BE SO GREAT WITH MORE FEATURES" way. Please! Add more features! ^^
Very clever, but very hard to play...I didn't manage to win yet, but I'll probably retry later!
Graphics and programming skills need to be improved, but there is plenty of good ideas in there, and it's the best interpretation of the theme Tiny World I've played yet
A cute little game. Lovely cutscenes! It reminds me of Evidence a bit http://oujevipo.fr/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=595:evidence&catid=38:30-minutes-&Itemid=57
That's pretty clever! (and fun too)
25250!
Awesome graphics!
huhuhuhu
Awesome. Now I would like to play the same thing with a bit of puzzle.
Good start. (Only a start though)
On firefox the mouse wasn't enough sensitive according to me.
Awesome game! The only problem is that it's a bit too easy, and so, it becomes a bit boring. But I enjoyed the 20 first minutes a lot!
Nice take on the theme, the audio, while simple, fits perfectly. One of the greatest!
The slow speed makes it very hard to dodge enemies, and the sounds became quickly annoying.
But the graphics are awesome and the idea/gameplay too!
Reminds me a free android game (but I don't remember the name). The blocks turning red is a great idea, and the "shot by enemy's force" too.
It is very fun too play, but also very hard. Maybe a personal high score feature would be great (even if my best was 2 or 3 ^^)
Funny, but very hard. I love the shape/color concept, it reminds me Jungle Speed
At first I thought : Oh no, another boring platformer! But this was wasn't boring at all! I like how rythm is more important than reflexes. Great job!
Big problem for me : On french keybord WASDQE are actually ZQSDAE. Usually, I can press Maj+Alt to switch on Qwerty keyboard, but I doesn't work in your game...So playing was really really hard, not instictive at all, and I had to ragequit. You should think about these (frequent) problems next time.
Although, the game looked nice, and I think I would have liked this innovative controls if they worked.
I was very suprised by...the surprising thing. Il like when a game get out if its windows. Very nice!
Nice idea but the controls aren't fluid enough. It makes the game very hard and not that fun to play...
Ok...now my neighbours think I'm crazy. Thanks a lot.
It was awesome to hear me screaming inside the box, a really weird experience.
Cute and yummy!
I played about 15 minutes before I managed to "win". I like the idea...Maybe it could be less repetitive with different dialogs during the levels (maybe random ?)
You got me!
I don't think it's silly at all, it's just...weird, and I like it. I absolutely didn't know what I was doing, but I was doing it with pleasure and was surprised many time. Good ambient!
Very pleasant physic platformer with great graphics and mechanics! I hope you'll get more people to play it, it's great!
@Susan I think it means Z,X and C worked...but the mechanics are hard to explain...I'm not sure I got it myself
This games looks VERY interesting...but I can't figure how to win...
Why are you so mean ?
I hope this game will get the gold graphics medal.
It is awesome.
9 hours, srly ?
an error occured and I couldn't play the game...windows seven 64bit
It is very hard! The shooting should be faster. But it's an impressive game for 48h!
There is something awesome in this game, and I don't know what it is. I don't know how I managed to have so much fun...but I had, and played about 10 times (never finished first). It is an excellent Ludum Dare Game!
It's pretty good (even if it's sometimes a little buggy) I hated loosing my companions, and I think that's why the game is good. Nice graphics, nice music but it stopped after a while I don't know why.
Didn't work on Firefox, worked on Chrome.
This game is cute! I would have play longer if it was longer itself. Pretty easy but that is a good thing.
Great mood here! I really felt someone was trying to kill me! Scary! didn't find the good ending.
I didn't manage to get very far because I was too scared of this insane man I was...I think it's a compliment.
Wow! That is just great, and I'm not much into roguelikes. I didn't find it difficult at all after reading the readme file (you sould have put instructions in game). I finished the game on the first time and the end was...wow.
I was expecting more levels...But the idea makes me smile and the music is great and give the game that little something...
I won! (-1)
I love cards game and I loved this one. Reminds me........nothing! Which is cool ^^ Verry original! But that absolutely doesn't need to be a video game, and I would LOVE to play it with actual cards and more characters!
Awesome!
Lovely Game!
The sword is pretty useless, jumping on ennemies is much more fun. I didn't use the lamp either. Nice graphics, good sounds, great gameplay.
The graphics have this little weird something I really like. This is not a good game, but a surprising one...which is something!
I really enjoyed the light effects. It's a great idea and it should be more exploited. But unfortunately, the game isn't very fun in state. Maybe it's more fun on a phone though.
It doens't work on my windowz 7...
The collision detection is very bad, but it is still fun to play (and hard!!!)
Good concept! I think I would prefer more difficults levels without timer. But that's great for 48h!
Thanks for allowing me to change difficulty...the "Normal" difficulty is impossible, but it is fun in "easy". I love the death sound and the music!
Well...it's a shoot'em up...but an amazing one, especially for 48h. I don't like shmup very much but was astounished by the visual and audio, congrats!
Looks promising but a bit complicated according to me, too much things on the screen. I didn't like the graphics at first, and then...they went quite charming.
Nice voxels! And funny game!
How can a girl dislike rocks ? Rocks are awesome, like Zoe! It's a very unusual way to make a dating sim and I like that. Of course it looks unfinished, but I can see a great potential here!
It is difficult to play and get the mecanics but it's very charming and quite innovating!
not much strategy involved, which make the game pretty easy. But mixing rogue-like and mazes is a great idea and I had much fun despite I felt quite invinvible
The graphics and sounds are beautiful. The game is a bit hard/boring but still a great one for a timed competition. Didn't you finish in time ? I can't rate
It is just...perfect!
I played a dozen times...and was hugely rewarded! (I won)
I think the difficulty is great : It HAS to be difficult, that's the whole point. I can't find any critic...even the fact that the game won't quit itself is great in the end...
Scariest dogs in video game history. Coolest furnitures in video game history. Funniest game I played on this Ludum Dare (I played about 20%).
I found the kitty and then found the ending exactly when I was starting to get bored. Which is a good thing : the game length is perfect. Not too simple, not to difficult, riding chairs is pure awesomeness.
My only reproaches would be that the game doesn't fit the theme perfectly (yeah...the kid is alone...easy) and the wake up ending. I don't want to get up! This world is too fun!
I'll be very happy to play a bigger version of this game, with more furnitures/objects (and less dogs...brrrr).
I got this on Seven : ERROR in
action number 1
of Create Event
for object obj_intro:
File is not opened for reading.
Danik is sooooooo right! The music totally reminds me Little Big Adventure, which is a good thing! Is there an end ? after jumping in the boat, I just walked left like...for ever.
According to me, the audio was pretty good. The tree platformer part is terrible but I likes the multiple endings.
I found a bug...I get stuck after dying. My feet were in the ground and I couldn't walk/jump anymore. (second or third checkpoint I think)
This bug aside, I think this game is awesome. The rock mechanics are brillant. Too bad it's quite easy to play without the rocks (at first I didn't even know I could throw rocks)
Clever and powerful! Thanks!
That was easier than I thought, Muahahaha!
I'm sick of Ludum Dare survival shooters but I must say this one is the best I've played, on every aspect!
The red dots got great AI.
Now...what should I do on the second screen ?
I didn't see much difference with the original Rom Check Fail except there is no enemies...oh wait...that's the point!
I love Rom Check Fail, so I love this one too, and I like the twist...but I really don't know how to rate it...I think I'll only rate Innovation, theme and humor.
Hypnotising...played for 15 minutes, didn't find anything except zombies...feel weird
Clever.
Very clever.
Funny little game. congratulations
It is a game to me, and a good one. Thanks.
I don't like shoot'em up but I had fun to play a while. That's a good thing. Why shouldn't I press space bar ?
The gameplay feels great! Didn't see the them through.
The full screen is quite agressive. Aniway, good take on the theme!
I'm pretty sure I didn't get it. But pretty sure I loved it also
Fun! Fun! Fun!
Reminds me of Avalanche or Doodle Jump, but more sad. :)
On my computer, the character just floats in the air at the beginning of the level and I can't make it move...:( Can't play, can't rate.
The gameplay is clever. Now sounds and slow animation could be annoying. It is still a good puzzle!
Maybe you should let the player walk by himself during the "intro", it's an easy to way to make the game more interactive and thus less boring.
But I don't mean the game is boring, I love this kind of meaningful games, but not everybody does.
I think the main problem is you can't turn while moving (except for shooting). Because of that, it's very hard to win within the time limit.
But I love the idea and the realisation!
Wonderful!
But these red-eyed creatures made me shit my pants!
SHARK! Move! move move move MOVE! *crunch*
Rhaa why are my friends stupid ?
Lovely game
That was scary but still a bit glitchy (I had a very bad time trying to open doors or climbing stairs ^^) Good work!
hahaha!
The bigger problem is we can't see most of the people we're talking to, it's pretty unusual for a dating sim.
But I'm very impressed by the amount of work here! Congratulations!
Well...This is a very clever game! I really would like to play more levels.
So much violence! I felt raped by spider robots!
Didn't find any goal. But it was fun!
That was fun!
I loved the first puzzle and obviously I would have like to play more of them. Nice start!
Awecute! (awesome+cute)
I really love the idea and the fact you made 3 games (instead or 3 levels for exemple). I even wrote a review about Hewwo : http://oujevipo.fr/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=614:hewwo&catid=35:5-minutes&Itemid=53 (in french)
Brillant!
But it the end, it becomes pretty easy. Now I would like to play the same game, with the same audio, the same graphics, but with an increasing difficulty!
You should give some instructions, even if the game is unfinished. I was totally lost.
It's not bad at all. Way too short to be a fun exploration game, but a excellent start.
Is jim gay ?
Well, nice style, nice gameplay!
That was fun, and I love your graphics.
Very athmospheric and spooky, as usual. I freaked out when I heard footsteps!
I don't like FPS neither zombies, but it looks like a pretty decent game to me.
Please, do what quill18 said ^^
But it's a great idea and a great game. I couldn't kill the robot...he was innocent...
I kept pressing R trying to generate somme funny islands. I got a goat head, some kind of monster and a vagina. I'm happy now.
I like your use of the stamina thing, it's very clever. I had much fun.
Very good game! I agree with Claw, no need to use spacebar, make it simple : AWD or the arrows. Don't know why I had to use the mouse either..only for ONE click.
I enjoyed the fact that enemies weren't all trying to kill me, I enjoyed the graphics and the ambient.
I keep getting killed by screams...SCREAMS! How could a scream hurt ? It's too hard! I give up!
But : It's nice, moody, and I get suprised many times. I liked it.
Looks like an another entry Ab-alone. I like the graphics but didn't figure how to craft things...it was about crafting things, right ?
Classic. But the isometric view adds a little something. Good job.
I'm so frustrated! This game looks great!
I've got a laptop, so, I have to put capslock on to press 1, 2 or 3, but if I do, WASD doen'st work anymore...Conclusion : I can't play it. Too bad because the idea looks good. When you make a game, think about all kind of keyboards, even european ones because I omit to say that I had to press Maj+Alt to activate the qwerty keyboard to play. That's a lot of complications for a single game.
Maybe you should try Adventure Game Studio instead of Java to make Point & clicks. It's a great tool. Because like Jerm said, some clicks didn't work, and that's very frustrating for an escape room.
Excellent start! And then...nothing happened ^^.
You've got a great intro! Now go make a game. The graphics are nice and there is a good ambient. You just have to find the gameplay to fit with it!
The character does crazy things like jumping into walls or not diying on lava.
But my FPS/speed was fine.
I really enjoyed plaing with the ball, fighting other cats, destrouing things...I really felt like a cat! Neat!
I like the documentary style. But would have liked more interactivity.
Wonderful.
The introduction was way too long.
This is a good idea, now it should be improved (I can't even die ^^)
The story mode doesn't work, and I wasn't able to shoot on survival mode :(
Doesn't work on my computer (Seven)
As a PC user, I can only rate the graphics. But I like the light effects
Doens't work on Seven
At first I thought it was one more of these unfinished boring game but I kept playing.
I kept playing
I kept playing
I kept playing
And then I realised it was the most fun game I've played in this Ludum Dare. I don't know how you've made that! You're a magician. Even the graphics I didn't like at first became awesome.
I HAVE to give you 5 stars EVERYWHERE! You put a spell on me.
I like the idea. But it still needs lot of improvement.
I can't run it...but there's a lot of Java games I didn't manage to open in this Ludum Dare...maybe it's my computer. I've got the latest version of Java running en Seven
Don't know how to make this thing works.
At first, I didn't pick up the lamp and...Fuck! That was scary!!!
Then, with the lamp, everything became much easier, but I still had fun
That was clever. I've already seen this kind of puzzles on magazines, but someone had to adapt it on video game!
I wasn't disapointed at all. It's a rubber ball in a dark room.
Yeah, who are they ? ^^
Three stars in graphics because the title screen is nice ^^. Can't play either
It's nice, but I think you should re-think the commands.
WASD + Space bar + mouse ? I only got two hands you know. You should forget about the space bar and make it jumb with W. Also, don't forget about foreign keyboard. My WASD is your ZQSD. Try to play with ZQSD ^^.
Massive problem: on Firefox I can't scroll down the text, so I can only play around 30 seconds...
It's still enough to see how brillant this game is. I'm really frustrated.
Excellent work! It would be lovely to have to find the girl at the end. Please finish this.
I didn't manage to make it work...:(
Pushing blocks was a bit boring. But the concept is very clever, and also very cute.
It obviously needs some polish, but that's already great and scary
The windows download link is broken.
I played in Firefox, thought it was cool (got ladies and HUGE cats) then I tried in Chrome and Wow! it's definitely better, without bugs, with background animations...You should fix these bugs on Firefox.
This game is awesome. I can't stop playing it.
I like the way the background changes
It is awesome!
Doesn't work for me. The game loads for ever.
Very funny game! Very scarry too. I would have prefered S for the reload button.
I don't even...
What a weird idea! How did it come up ?
Not very fun to play, but perfect on all the other aspects ^^
For a LD Game, the intro is waaaay too long. It would be fine normally but in this context of playing dozens of games a day to rate, it's too long ^^.
Good music, good atmosphere, but awful controls on moving platforms : difficulties to jump, and something crossing through the platform.
Also, the music stopped itself after a while. don't know why :(
difficulties to jump while on moving platform
music stopes
Very very very clever.
But also a little bugged. I managed to make the other clones move wherever I want by making them jump (with the goo) on my head. Then... I also managed to stuck some in the wall or even to make some cross though closed door (and counted as dead) \o/
I really would like to play an improved version!
I took me a while to understand how it worked, but then, I really enjoyed! It's very funny to play!
-I found a bug : birds in the fountain appeared only after I cought one of them (and I thought : "What a lazy bentosmile, he didn't even draw birds...")
-The game proposed me to swap the bird for the water...but I wasn't supposed to have the bird anymore
-Something weird : Why the icon of the game in ma taskbar is a mIRC icon ?
Aside from this (and the fact I got stuck after the snake room (Why can't I catch a fish with a bucket ? Sounds pretty logic!) It is a lovely game and I think I fell in love with this girl. :)
I'm in love with the graphics.
As a non native english speaker, I didn't understood anything after "I feel alone" ^^. The voice was too weird. I still appreciated the atmosphere : very nice job!
I managed to have fun playing alone. Left hand/brain won!
I can't play it! I didn't manage to press play in the menu...keyboard didn't work ;(
I love the shooting organ-losing life concept. It reminds me a previous Ludum Dare "Enemy as weapon" except here it's more "weapon as enemies". Graphics are nice too. I'm not sure you're allowed to use this music (even if it is public domain) so I won't rate the audio. Nice first game.
Not very original and yet extremely fun. Maybe because of the minimalism ? It would have been nice to have a lifebar though.
It looks good, but there is still a lot of bugs...My character kept disappearing, I had to refresh the page to restart all over thrice, and then, I get bored and stopped. It would have been great if the character was faster.
Last thing : I closed the windows, and the music is still playing...weird...Oh wait, it stopped.
not my cup of tea, but I must admitt this game is pretty good! The Audio is excellent, the light effect are a good idea and...well...it works!
I got the game freezing 3-4 second at the beginning and after the first level (just for you to know)
Why Up=left ? It's pretty unusual and consequently hard to control. On the other hand : It's pretty fun!
Rhaaa Y U NO add checkpoint ?
Aside from that, it's a very clever idea
The gameplay works well.
Now it should be improved (as wilefian said, there's nothing to keep the player playing)
Very very very clever. It needs to be much improved, but the concept of board game/turn based RPG fights is awesome! Leading a cat army is a wonderful experience. But it doens't fit much the theme.
Same problem. Can't vote.
Too bad it need to instal SDL.dll
no link...
I really like the graphics and the "please, let me go ^^"
But the game is too hard! I get bored before I could win. That's not a bad idea though.
The game lags...a lot. I can't even play after the introduction. Too bad because the intro was nice.
I've got a recent version of firefox.
Too many things to collect...I get bored before the end...sorry.
BUT : The game is wonderful, the music is great, I love the arm at the foreground and kicking birds was a lot of fun!
I like the idea, droping mines was funny.
Now it would be nice to actually have something to do in that field.
The best game I tried so far...ok...I tried only 10 or 12, but this one is way above. As funny as bunny story, but better on other thinks like gameplay and this new thing..."mood". Congrats!
I get bored pretty quick but the first minutes were fun! I like the controls but never used the canon...it just multiplies asteroids, even if they're smaller, it doens't help much ^^
I found the phone 5:11 after the crash, and after 3-4 tries.
It requires a lot of faith to finish the game, I constantly felt I was diving in deep water. Nice!
(And this kitten is evil! Killing a hundred of trees to save a cat...what a waste ^^)
I loved it! And I found the third ending quite easily. Of course, some music would have been fine, but I know what it is ^^
Very very nice game. And it makes me laugh.
It is pretty fun. But I don't like the Exit Gate design : it looks like a MacDonald's M sliced in two
The best water level of history
I love it too! But I'm stuck too. I managed to go to the thirs "room" but I can't jump across the guards...:(
That's weird...usually, surfing games are supposed to be coooooool. This one isn't, it's pretty hard actually. anyway, I liked it.
The falling mud is a great idea, but the controls are a bit akward
the game doesn't work on my computer...
I just loved it! Gave me a Desktop Dungeon feeling...you know...when you can't stop playing until you've beat the game more time than he beated you (yeah...sorry for that english)
I think I didn't understood anything...but I loved it! Each time I play one of your game I think "What shitty graphics!" and "What a shity idea!" But at the end, each part of the game looks wonderful to me. What is the secret ?
(And, is there an end ?)
What the hell ?
How can bread increase boredom ? Bread is cool! Bread is life! That's a very bad start! ^^
But except this bread mistake, I really enjoyed this game, even if I don't know why. Maybe it's because is fun ? Myabes it's because the music is pretty cool ? Or maybe it's because I managed to moonwalk
I loved this! The graphics, the audio, the gameplay...basic, but perfect. Of course : too bad this was that short.
I loved the idea, the controls aren't frustrating because they're bad, they are frustrating because cats don't obey...and it's well known that cats obey whenever they want. It's funny and clever. I think I manage to get all the insects, but the "surprise ending" wasn't very rewarding due to all my efforts.
Whatever, if you're interested, I made a small review in french on my blog (http://oujevipo.fr/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=398:priority-cats&catid=36:10-minutes&Itemid=55)
haha! I loved the latin!
-1500. I think it's a kind of new reccord ^^. A bit disapointed there was nothing down there though...maybe I wasn't deep enough. The window is still open, I'll keep on later.
I've also reviewed Hollow on my french blog. There : http://oujevipo.fr/30-minutes-et/hollow
I felt literaly in love with this game. I needed few tries to understand well, because nothing is really explained (even if the tutorial is brillant!) but it's perfect like that, it's great that we have to try many times to understand. I wrote a review about entity (http://oujevipo.fr/5-minutes/entity) but it's in french. Maybe Google translate do a great job : http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=fr&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=fr&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Foujevipo.fr%2F5-minutes%2Fentity&act=url
Maybe I haven't understood well, but I don't care, because what I understood is awesome!
Nice and creepy, although I don't understand english quite well. It reminds me Shoot you're evil twin brother...(which I love) http://dhakajack.templaro.com/node/90
Brillant! But did someone mention that it was very hard? I finally managed to crush the orc castle to 9HP, but that's the best I can do (for now). If you're interested, I wrote a fren review about Bonifaco's Bazaar. You'll find it here : http://oujevipo.fr/10-minutes/bonifacos-bazaar
Carrying this very big rock is booooriiiiiiing. But that's precisely the fun of the game! Well done, and : lol.
How did you get these graphics? It's beautiful!
I wrote a short review (in french) about the game : http://oujevipo.fr/5-minutes/a-fine-day-in-the-parking-lot
My favourite of all your games. I love the artwork, the characters, the dialogues, the story...everything.
Some french feedback : http://oujevipo.fr/20-minutes/enemy-of-the-solid-state
Beautiful, and original. I really love this one too.
as usual, some french feedback : http://oujevipo.fr/10-minutes/the-lair-of-fungal-wonder
LD39 — Running out of Power (1)
Rats will kiss the gunner's daughter by Mr.Houdini 2017-08-05T05:47:54Z ♥ 1
I can't rate since I didn't take part in the jam, but this is my favorite so far!
