Nice addictive game, a little hard at the beginning and a little easy in the end. I managed to get the golden shield and the golden sword at which point it's easy to kill all monsters everytime.

Nice addictive game, a little hard at the beginning and a little easy in the end. I managed to get the golden shield and the golden sword at which point it's easy to kill all monsters everytime.
It takes too long to jump, so often it doesn't jump even though I pressed W before the red part.
I didn't managed to play it. I downloaded Vice (2.4) then ran `xvic vic20_fastboy_ld27.zip' (I'm using ArchLinux, in case it matters).
I can see the first screen and hear the music. When I press space, the text "loading" is displayed, and then is replaced by "press fire" after a few seconds, but then nothing happens if I press space again (or any other key).
That's very difficult, the cart can get stuck very easily. But the idea is original.
A very interesting idea, but I found the controls very hard (I only tried with an Xbox gamepad and the touchpad, I don't have a mouse). In the end I was just randomly moving and placing things, hoping that it would be of any use.
I also only tried in single player.
That's a very simplistic game, but I actually really enjoyed it :-)
I have between 2 and 3 fps, so it's not easy to play (by the way, it works on Linux)
I can't play it (on ArchLinux), I get the error:
> Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no lwjgl in java.library.path
[...]
(and lwjgl is installed)
Very good graphics and very good game!
I like the idea of having to count to ten, but the inertia makes the game very difficult, I didn't pass level 1.
Very nice! Especially for a game made in 15 hours
(by the way, it works on Linux)
Hello, could you give more instructions? I tried 10 times but still have absolutely no idea what I’m supposed to do. I don’t even know if I’m supposed to do something with the keyboard, or the mouse, or something else.
Also I’m on ArchLinux and the /usr/bin/python binary is actually Python 3, so your launch.sh script didn’t work for me. It would work better to change it to
> python2 main.py || python main.py
@demiurgo: Thanks, now I found out how to play it. The problem was that I have a non-qwerty keyboard layout (with the numbers in shift) so it didn't work, but switching to qwerty made it work.
The game is quite fun and addictive. The fact that some wires are sometimes of different colors is a bit odd because if there is only one wire of the given color you don't even have to follow it, and intersecting wires of the same color are not always easy to follow.
But it's still a nice game :-)
The Linux build seems to work but (at least on my computer) it's so slow that it's unplayable (about 1 or 2 fps, even on the title page).
Pretty good game. The sounds are quite painful to hear, but I guess that's intended. Also I don't understand why you can't fix the bug, you can create a Dropbox account and upload it here, you will have complete control of the HTML around it.
Difficulty is a bit strange, it's quite hard to get to the gun, but then it's very easy.
Also for the compo you're supposed to do the music yourself.
Not bad but very slow. And why is my ship oscillating randomly around my mouse?
Very fun and yay for DDR! :-)
The Linux binary doesn't work, it seems that you forgot to include the data folder:
Set current directory to /home/fractal/LD27/ld27
Found path: /home/fractal/LD27/ld27/10floors.x86
There is no data folder
The timer is a bit useless and it's a shame that there are only two mini-games.
Could you make a Linux version? I heard that it's easy for Unity games.
It does compile on Linux, but when I press space at the first screen, it freezes and I can't do anything else.
My computer is not very fast, so if your game is CPU intensive maybe it's just too slow here.
@Dioiminik: You can't move after collecting a bullet? That's strange, I've never had this bug. Does it happen every time or only sometimes?
@Zuige: You have to collect clocks as quickly as possible. You win when you have more than 10 seconds left.
@Diogo Muller: Yes, the next item/enemy is determined randomly every second, so sometimes you have a lot of enemies and sometimes very few :(. You shouldn't get only enemies, though, if the time is low and there are only enemies, the game will spawn a clock or a bullet (and if there are only bullets, the game will spawn a clock or an enemy).
@apaneske: Ok, I'll try to see where those hangs come from.
Thanks for playing everyone!
@alts: Thanks! The play_touc function plays a .wav sound whereas most other sounds are in .ogg, and I've seen in the doc of Love that playing .wav sounds is buggy, so maybe that's the reason. I wasn't expecting it to be that buggy, though... I'll post a fixed version tomorrow.
I uploaded a new version where I converted the wav sounds to Ogg Vorbis. Hopefully the problems that some are experiencing after collecting a bullet are gone now.
I uploaded a web version, in case anyone is interested (you need a WebGL enable browser, and it's slower than the native version).
@wilbefast (and others): Indeed, I should have done something like that, it didn't occur to me at the time. I'll remember it for the next Ludum Dare :-)
Not sure what the aim of the game is and I only found two endings. Could have been a great game, but a bit too empty for now.
Very addictive game, I liked it!
But I find that the acid mode (after 60 seconds) rely too much on luck, often there are so many green burritos that you can't possibly go through. Also the hit box is too large, you can take burritos without touching them.
On Linux I had a few problems to make it work. First the .sh failed with the error:
> Error: Unable to access jarfile /home/fractal/LD27/Burrito Blaze.sh
> : numeric argument requiredxit: 0
So I tried `java -jar "Burrito Blaze.sh"', and it worked, except that I got a NumberFormatException which was due to the fact that I use a locale using , as a decimal separator.
In the end, I had to run the command `LC_ALL=C java -jar "Burrito Blaze.sh"'
Very good but a bit too short.
Not easy but very fun!
That was fun! Sounds and music are very nice and the difficulty is good. As other said, I just found the hitbox quite buggy (bigger than the actual sprite).
I found this game a bit boring, especially given that you get the same minigames over and over again.
I very often get the following error message when going from one level to the next one:
An error has occured that has caused Spark to stop.
You can notify Andrea Montagna about this at http://fullmontis.tumblr.com
Nice game, but it would be even better with some music.
A good start, but indeed, it doesn't seem really finished.
Does not work on Linux here, it gives something like:
System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for OpenTK.Graphics.GraphicsContext ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for OpenTK.Platform.Factory ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for OpenTK.Configuration ---> System.DllNotFoundException: libc
Nice game, but the controls are very awkward.
Maybe I missed something but I don't see the point of opponents, they can't take you the ball and they do not prevent you from shooting. For every level, you can just move to the basket and shoot.
Nice game! :)
It's a bit hard and too dependent on luck (if the first few rooms don't have anything in them, you're screwed), but fun.
Works out of the box here (ArchLinux).
But it seems like my computer is too slow to run this game, I have something like 2 fps, so as soon as I press W everything changes and I don't understand what's going on anymore.
My best score so far (by pressing W until I run out of fuel) is 148 parsec. Either my computer is not powerful enough, or you're doing something suboptimal in your code.
It's a good start! It's a shame that we can't move or shoot diagonally and more stuff would deserve to be added to the game, but for one of your first games, that's not bad.
Sounds fun but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do.
Not very original but quite fun.
Nice game, but I find it too difficult. Graphics and music are really good.
That's so slow that I absolutely can't play it (using the .jar). I'm moving at 2 pixels per seconds.
Nice game! (and it works well with an Xbox 360 gamepad (on Linux))
That was fun :-)
Very clever idea the "try with no money" thing :-)
There are a few annoying moments where you jump but you do not see where you are going to land, but it's still a good game!
FYI: The Linux binary didn't work on my ArchLinux (version mismatch in libGLEW), but thanks to the source code I managed to compile it and play it.
The first two levels are a bit boring, the third one is easy, the fourth one is very difficult (but I managed to beat it \o/) and after that it seems to be impossible.
It's a shame that you have to start over at level 1 when you lose and adding some more gameplay elements would make it less repetitive.
But it's a good start anyway, keep making games :)
Nice game, it took me some time to understand what the colors mean, but I enjoyed it.
Hey, could you put the .love in the source files? I'm on Linux and the version in the GitHub repo does not work (it's looking for the file "ld27/init.lua" instead of "init.lua")
You have a huge memory leak, my computer freezes after a few seconds.
Looking at the code, you reload to the memory every image at every frame, which is a terrible idea. You should call love.graphics.newImage once and for all (for each image) in love.load() and not use it at all in love.draw().
Thanks for fixing the memory leak.
It's a pretty good game, but you should have added much more levels.
I have no idea what's going on with this game.
Interesting idea, unfortunately the resulting game is a bit boring.
I get a 404 for the Linux link.
Not bad for a first game
Good game!
You should explain the controls, it took me a long time to understand that it seems to have something to do with the mouse, and even now I don't understand how I'm supposed to control it with the mouse.
That's, hum, odd. And a bit boring, to be frank. You should at least add some music to it.
Nice game, a bit too simplistic and the fact that the battery does not reset at each level makes it hard to use.
Nice game, but as others already said, trying to increase the frustration isn't a good idea.
On ArchLinux, I get the following error:
org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: X Error - disp: 0x7fe81c21c500 serial: 89 error: GLXBadFBConfig request_code: 154 minor_code: 34

Not sure whether it's a bug or a problem with my computer.
Good game, although a bit short. The first screen was really confusing, I was trying to move my (nonexistent) character, and then the game exited by itself after 10 seconds.
Very cool game :-)
That's quite hard but very interesting (I haven't finished it, but I will try again)
This is way too slow, I can't play it :-(
Controls are very hard, there should be keyboard shortcuts for everything. Also there is rarely any feedback for actions. For instance sometimes I try to shoot a fireball, but I don't know if it worked but the enemies are too powerful, or if I didn't have enough mana, or if I didn't click hard enough on my mouse button.
The general idea of the game seems good, though.
That's fun, but not really a game.
I can't figure out how to progress, but maybe that's because I'm tired. Interesting idea though.
It doesn't work on Linux 64 bits, it's looking for the file lib/gluegen-rt-natives-linux-amd64.jar whereas you only bundled lib/gluegen-rt-natives-linux-i586.jar.
This game looks very interesting but with only a touchpad I don't think I can rate it fairly. The music is quite good, how did you make it?
Interesting idea, but it was a bit boring to wait until a particular maze arrives and also a bit frustrating not to be able to see the whole maze.
Weird game, but well done.
Good idea, but that's a bit too chaotic to be really enjoyable.
Very nice game, and the music is awesome.
Interesting game even if it's a bit hard to understand the rules. I managed to reach level 10 but then it was becoming too hard.
Time is actually not a concern, as others have noticed, you can just press Down for a long time. The general idea is interesting but would maybe require some more thought, the main concern right now is to manage to *avoid* gaining seconds, because it moves your character down.
Game does not load either (I'm on Linux as well).
Awesome game and awesome music, congrats!
The rains slows down the game a lot though (at least in the HTML5 version), which makes it quite painful to play, but the rest of the game is so good that I still played it until the end :-)
The "10 seconds of gas" thing is basically useless given how easy it is to find more gas, the real problem is in dodging asteroids.
Also the game lacks features, but the existing features are well done.
Good game! I liked the fact that there are many levels.
Very strange game, but not so bad :-)
Doesn’t work here (ArchLinux, 64 bits). The sound works but the graphics are all broken, all I can see is a trail of triangles going to the upper right corner.
Here is my version of Java:
$ java -version
java version "1.7.0_40"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.4.1) (ArchLinux build 7.u40_2.4.1-3-x86_64)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.0-b50, mixed mode)
And here is the error message on the command line:
$ sh "Korrod (64 bit)"
OpenGL error 1280 at bot beginDraw(): invalid enumerant
OpenGL error 1280 at bot endDraw(): invalid enumerant
OpenGL error 1282 at bot endDraw(): invalid operation
OpenGL error 1282 at bot beginDraw(): invalid operation

Graphics and sounds are very good, but it's a bit too hard for me.
You should definitely include the .love file in the source, I only have a Linux computer and I usually skip immediately games with only a Windows and Source link. It's good that this time I read the description before and noticed that I would be able to play it.
It goes a bit too fast but the game is really addictive.
I have the same problem as xhunterko, I can't even pass level 1 because the square is stuck all the time.
It seems that you're doing the following: if the next move makes me hit a wall, then do not move at all. But it means that on a slow computer we can get stuck much more easily because the square will stop well before the wall.
Please fix, I want to play it.
I like the graphics, but the collisions are indeed very slightly glitchy :-) Too bad it took you so long to try to fix the collisions.
Thanks!
For the windows version, I just forgot to add some of the DLLs in the zip, no idea why, it should work now (but I can’t test it, so if someone could confirm it it would be nice).
