Fun idea, challenging levels, smooth controls (people seem to complain about it but they seem ok to me). spotted the xkcd reference.
I made it to the end of the compo version without hints, although the controls on some levels seem weird or difficult to use. I liked some puzzles like the "bloom" one.
thanks for bringing back memories of an untitled story. I like the fact that the boss is in the middle of the game rather than at the end.
Wo ! I love the concept. I'm playing the windows version so the timings seem a bit unbalanced to me (it's supposed to allow multitouch, right ?) but I can imagine how it feels to play on a tablet.
I love the random level design.
Hey, thanks everyone who took the time to install the game !
about the map > yes, I suppose a GPS based map could make sense
about the catching > You have to catch them when they have almost no life left.
about the healing bug > That's interesting. It might be due to the network reception having positive values, which I didn't think was possible since it's measured in decibels.
The fights are boring > Agree, as I said in a blog post I wish I didn't lose so much time on technical difficulties and spend it on these aspects instead. I'm still considering going on with the development of the game, not sure yet.
Beautiful game.
These dithered gradients are gorgeous.
Fantastic game ! I like to get small stories as a reward rather than a simple score.
I love this game.
USB to RCA connectors, I've always been looking for those !
impressive
The battle is taking forever and seems buggy, which breaks the fun a bit but I like the concept.
awesome !
The selected block seems to stay the same as long as you don't move the mouse. I can see how that helps, but on the downside it can be frustrating that the block being changed is not always the one you expected.
Very good. I was often surprised by the choices the game considered to be best (*spoiler* most of them tend to be somewhat selfish in my opinion).
Also I wish there was a bit more connections between each problem (maybe if the situations you have to deal with depends on your previous choices).
Good, I liked the idea of avoiding bullets in a turn-based mechanic. Everything realtime that was added on top of it felt unnecessary to me, or the level design didn't take enough advantage of mixing both.
the style is good and i like the idea overall. the controls felt a bit frustrating or not precise (i.e I turn more easily by pressing forward many short times rather than one long time)
ok very good
a few things :
restart could be automatic when you loose, as well as opening the door.
with the current ld, "killing" and "draining power" could be merged into a single action, unless I'm missing something.
I don't think using the mouse is the best choice (especially if you want to use arrows instead of WASD or are left-handed).
a timer might not necessary since the player is already "punished" for trivial actions such as jumping (which is interesting by the way).
I wasn't sure if some of the game's behaviors regarding jumping on statues or running over small gaps were glitches or by design.
There is a small delay on most actions and no immediate feedback which makes it uncomfortable to play (I sometimes was in a hurry and used too much energy because I thought the game didn't take my previous action into account).
for some reason the game is running quite fast on my computer (a lot more than what I can see from the video someone posted above) which makes it too difficult but I wish I could play at normal speed, it looks very good
