LD30 — Connected Worlds

Connecting LD30 to the Real World by Will Edwards 2014-09-15T05:15:00

last comment for me
Actually it lack of some score... ;)

Next time i will play to game of people near me.. that's really funny to imagine that someone is nearer than you think.

Best jam!

Multiverse: Connected Universes by Oana 2014-08-25T22:59:00

Really hard but that's the kind of game who deserve difficulties.
Restarting from the current univers would be better.
With better graphics (like GeometryWars), and even transition effect in the worm-hole, it could be a real game.
Good game + better graphics = time killer.

It lack also of a little soundtrack... :)

Mammoth Monkey Mole by ehtd 2014-08-25T21:39:00

A powerful simple game, my only critic is that the fact that all animals could be on the screen at the same time, because it's an unintersting difficulty (even if you keep the color switch to indicate the animals)
The puzzle design is impressive, and progressive i stop at level 8 but only because i have feeled that this game could bring me far away from the others game. A real time killer! ;)
The idea of color, and sound is brillant because it create a dynamic at each switch, helped by the track.
Real great puzzle game.
And i love the font!

Sim Solar System by josefnpat 2014-08-25T20:33:00

No game in the github also for me.

unnona by snooze82 2014-08-27T20:36:00

The control is weird but the game is working. Actually that simple but quickly hard to bring the good key to the good door. Good work. I'm pretty impressed by your use of WebGL as the coward unity user that i am! :)

Above and Below by zakchaos 2014-08-25T20:51:00

Actually you can survive too easily in the fish part but it's too hard to get ToxicWaste with the Bubbles, and the human part is easy but you can die more easily (there is also some collision bug).
The game could be more interesting if there was the two characters on the same screen and you could switch from one to an other, or even that the action in one game had action in the other game.
For the rest it's an html game, it's different from usual and it gives you all my admiration (i use Unity ;), i'm a coward)

Wifimon by Morusque 2014-08-26T21:03:00

The idea seems great, i will try it but here in Nature not enough wifi hotspot! ;)

Intersection by Domantas 2014-08-26T22:40:00

In this kind of stuff it's really perfect, everything work together, only the clouds are too random, and not enought shaped.

The switch is classical now but really efficient, and nice looking. The level design is pretty efficient bothing too hard but it lacks of checkpoint that's one of the main issue of this kind of game.

I found a trap in the level design when you get the gun, you can jump and reach a grey part, where you can't die (if you kill the monsters. I had to restart the application.

Great job, well polished. I'm jealous ;)

Videogame Hero by shatterhand 2014-08-26T20:11:00

Found Footage...
Found Gaming...
Like Wreck it Ralph...

You can't use orginal asset but it could be a real fun metagame with the original asset of inspiring game.

It could maybe be more interesting to no pass through a hub, but maybe use a zapping effect like a switch.

The story is really nice, the game is basic, but it give something really deep! ;)

And also made 5 game instead of one, even if they are classical, that's impressive.

Epic Galactic Conquest by madk 2014-08-26T22:24:00

Get back work on this right now : obvious, classic, strategic, simple, addicting, suitable for a mobile device. Do you hear me?

I love this game.

I said GET BACK TO WORK! :)

Your world! by Julgodis 2014-09-01T11:18:00

One of the most addictive game i've seen.
That's a simple tower defense like, but the music and even the background animation make the game really fun.
It lack of some variety (upgrade, level, unity) but it's a real good base.
Only the portal/castle look ugly compared to the other sprite.

Through the Trans-Dimensional Window by Charlie 2014-08-27T22:18:00

Great idea, basic on the general principal of two world interaction but the window and the flow of this one, create a powerful game feel.
Some mechanisme are hard to understand, but the look/sound are so great that we could play hour.
The switch between the deux controllers is the weak part of the game, because it's build for three hands (two control and the mouse).

But what a great ground to make a powerful game grown.

Cyperspace Connect by Xgor 2014-08-25T23:05:00

At start it seems easy and then you forget to turn...;)

Real nice game, who could deserve more tron-like visual effects.

The game will miss of more challenge like ennemies, or change in the map. The music and the sound design are perfect for the game.

Simple and almost perfect.

Defense of Geome by aneeslol 2014-09-02T18:46:00

Hard maybe that with an autofire it would make the game a little bit "easier", actually it could be nice to have a little quiet moment (maybe between two shooter level) to think about the ground base.
The basic idea is great but the game itself look a little bit like a mashup, a nice one, but like having two brains.
;)

Flip by Lycaon 2014-08-25T21:47:00

MORE LEVEL!

Puzzle design is hard, i have tried myself, and you never know if it's obvious, simple, or hard like hell.

The game is simple but powerful. With a good puzzle designer, you could imagine many many levels, even a procedural way to create them.

Actually the idea is better than many "switched world" that i have seen for now.

This kind of game could keep me for hours! :)

Lotus by doos 2014-08-28T22:09:00

Take a look to my game : same spirit! ;)
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-30/?action=preview&uid=39617

Connected... peoples! :D

I tried and it seems maybe much harder than mine, but i really like the idea, but without more hint it required a genious insight, or lucky to understand the rules. I figure the base of rotation but not why some pieces on other circle move when you move an other circle.

If you have other idea like that i think that they could merge inside a great puzzle aventure game like Myst or Schizm.

It make me think to that, a pure mecanisme that you have to manipulate : the puzzle is not the level, but the game itself.

Nice job, and nice graphics.

I cant believe its not another space game, but it is. - Connected Worlds by CoderDozer 2014-08-27T20:39:00

A little bit slow for me but the idea of limited fuel gives a strategic aspect to the game, that make it fun. Could be be still a ShootThemUp but with more speed, or a nice 2D space shooter with more strategie about having planet on the track to get fuel.
I'm not fan of the plastic like rendering, but i could work with the good sound design.
But as a shooter he is really addicting more than some better looking.

What Could Possibly Go Wrong? by Andrew Shouldice 2014-09-02T19:05:00

Even the game over is cool.

It lack of a little bit of intensity maybe with a soundtrack. Also a way to enlarge the field of view (maybe when you didn't shoot for example) could make the game more strategic, and less random.

But for 48h it's technically terrific!

HyperGate by Alucard Jay 2014-08-26T20:55:00

Maybe too big for a Ludum Dare : the RTS lack of option, and the field of variation, but the control of the camera with the zoom and movement is impressive.
A simple option had to allowed multiple selection or zone selection to move all the characters.
You also can't leave a planet even if you have

HyperGate by Alucard Jay 2014-08-26T20:57:00

...lost. You have to wait the destruction of the ship.

That's a real challenge that you take, and even if it's not fully functionnal, i'm pretty that i could not do what you have done in 48hours, even i know unityengine.

Good job.

Orbital Kombat by Adjotur 2014-08-26T20:42:00

The idea is pretty funny, but as comabt game, it's maybe two simple, but that's the first 1D combat game. With variety in the size of the planet, and maybe on trajectory it could be a more "gravity" like combat game : if you have to fight Jupiter don't come too close, because of the size, but you can easily target it with an asteroid from far.

But actually the idea of making fight with planet itself is really new.

Put a K to combat and add some fatalities! :D

Connected Worlds by g_o 2014-08-25T20:29:00

Hard to finish the game, but i'm fan of the start of the game, and the hand drawn style.
After that it's maybe too difficult because of the physics, and the collision, but still captivating, if it wasn't ludum dare (too many games to see) i will finish the game.

Little Beetle Saves The World by local minimum 2014-09-06T22:58:00

Disturbing, the mechanismis are really smart, with the path that could be activate at certain point, but i can't understand the link with beatle (but i'm french maybe did i miss something ;) )
Maybe having a more graph theme (computer, map).
The main issu is about understanding how it works, and why i die sometimes.
Actually there is an opposition, the hand made graphics create something poetic, and smooth, but the gameplay is really fast, time based, arcade.
Actually i think that with an other background, or maybe an other graphics, the game could have a more readable path for each level, and also be more consistent.

Actually i think that your game could be really better with an orthographic view, like Monument Valley. It could explain the lack of lisibility in your game path and could maybe became more poetic (if graphic like Monument Valley), or arcade oriented(like any retro aracde game but with beetle) :D

But it's still pretty fun, and easy to play.

Accelerated-Life by Makio64 2014-09-02T18:41:00

Pretty simple, but clear one target, one purpose, and it works as simple as a game, as nice as a shape.

I really like it, because you could passed more time on it, it would became worse, it's simple.

Maybe a little bit too easy, with more challenges, and one or two dangereous creature, it could became a wonderful simple game.

InfiLoop by komjaur 2014-08-25T21:57:00

The ending was tricky!

Great copy of a game that i loved there is still some visual bug, but the transition are mostly perfect. It's not original but your level could be passed like that inside AntiChamber.

Thanks for the hint! ;)

H.O.C.M.A. by Techblogogy 2014-08-28T06:29:00

Cool idea. It could be better with a real chemical base. The game mood is great, and slow, but it could be better with simply not having to wait, that the configuration of the structure matter even with a puzzle (rebuild a configuration).

The start is pretty interesting and it gives deepness to a game who would be without too abstract.

A good base.

Alien Boogie-Down by EvilObjective 2014-08-25T22:53:00

The story is really fun, with a better animation, and even more abstract people it could make an insane rythm game.
The game works well even if it was hard on an azerty keyboard to play.

I suck to rythm game but i got one people!

Fusebox by Empyrealhell 2014-08-26T05:56:00

Not my kind of game but impressive for a 48h hour. I think that the game could be more simple (or i'm simply too tired). I think that the game could be more "fun" with less values to watch but it will be more for players like me.

The game is pretty neat, and could be better in my opinion with an all in one GUI maybe with a solar-system like look, and a visual for the fuse, and the grid, it will make the game more appealling.

Maybe visual indication instead of percent, who can frighten people like me! ;)

Twist And Weave by ZeppelinCaptain 2014-08-28T22:25:00

Simple and nice idea, but the physics make the controls a little bit slow and sloppy.

It could deserve more friction to make the trajectory manageable. Here is a game fully different who have in my opinion a really nice control of object to bring other at one spot (it's a "pool-like" game) :
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-30/?action=preview&uid=42067

The game could also benefit of some physical effects of the links to make the moving a little bit manageable.

I like the graphics specially the spike with their shaking. ;)

Theme linked, fun hard but not too much. Nice job.

Dagger Dash by Linus123xbb 2014-08-26T21:17:00

Two much hard due to some weird collisions but that's a nice infinite runner, it lack of some checkpoint due to the level of difficulty.

The character is fun, but he looks too much handpainted compared to the other, he is really well done, so maybe you could do all level with the same kind of graphics.

The switch between the two world is great, and a good idea, butit lacks of more information aboutthe other world, and it's more required du to the difficulty of the game itself, without any switch.

Sinister by Joe Williamson 2014-09-01T19:56:00

Maybe more an interactive cut scene than a game but F*** THAT'S PERFECT.

Animation, graphics, controls, i can tell nothing... But nothing really new in gameplay and the theme is more background that inside but something so finished in 48H... how many hand/brain have you? :D

You kill me! ;)

Dimension Hopper by dkkarate 2014-08-25T20:57:00

I start the game inside Unity, it's pretty nice, the camera, the character, but i can't figure out to finish anything or get any level end.
Sadly because the game looks simple but really well done.

O.R.B by OhFiddleDiddle 2014-08-25T20:40:00

I jump because i'm so intelligent... ;)

Interesting use of the noddling, i'm less fan of the look of the city, but the idea is really great.

It lacks of more physical interaction but the main idea work surprisingly well.

System Harvest by 03gramat 2014-08-27T20:50:00

Not my kind of stuff, but the work on the GUI is pretty impressive, it's nice efficient, and you are block by the game, not the GUI. I could give you a lot of game with the same mechanism than your but with a painful GUI.

Actually it lack of seeing the mothership and eventually that the "follow" command will be more clear, also a way to see all the planet in a same list.

Here's a game that is in the same spirit, but who could benefit of a nice GUI/graphics like yours : http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-30/?action=preview&uid=32815

I can't judge the game rules, but that's my simple opinion of casual gamer... for this kind of game. :)

Abstrakt by ViliX64 2014-08-26T22:21:00

Pretty nice concept, a good metaphor of the mental disease.I'm not fan of the graphics, but maybe it would be possible to use real-life element in picture to return to this idea of shizophrena.
The end is interesting but it could be also strong to bring the insight to the player during the game and even make him play serioulsy against himself, but it will required more thinking and also a great gamedesign.

I follow your instruction and i was not dissappointed.

More artistic than a game, but that's great.

Drempt by WetDesertRock 2014-08-26T20:26:00

The idea of having two kind of "targets" but with the same look is really great. I think that the "story" behind it make the game maybe too hard to understand, having this story is great (and so the story) but by missing simple instructions of shoot that one, and not the others, you made maybe the entering too difficult.

For the rest graphics and sound are really great, even the background. i have some issues with the movement of the "ship", the "move always" is a great idea (who fit well with your story) but you could maybe add a slowing action even temporary to make the trajectory more controllable.

The upgrading menu is really well but i'm surprised because it is really not in the same "dream mood" of the story and the game : it makes it easy to use/understand, but is quite weird between the dream cycle.

Theme used, good idea simple who could bring more.

Good game.

Connect your Worlds by MrP123 2014-08-25T21:28:00

Simple and devil.
Actually the game is hard because we have no clue about what happened if we choose one or an other, it looks more artistic than a game.
But with some sound, and indication (climb speed, and decrease speed, with maybe point action) it could make a great management game with maybe a message about time and life.

Realm Raiders by RodRoy1 2014-08-26T05:59:00

Why not making a videocardgame like HearthStone... when the cardgame will be published! ;)

Why I'm Not a Game Dev by mattr555 2014-08-27T20:29:00

Not as bad for a first game, actually i really like the choose for graphics, with a better (but still drawn) animation it could get like a childhood mood.

The idea of same object but twice effect (depend of the world) could done a real fun game. Your idea is good, just need more work.

Orbital Cargo by Bozwellox 2014-08-26T19:33:00

Hard at the first look, but more interesting than some management game i see in this ludum dare.

Actually the name inside the game are pretty clear, and when we start to saw many ships flying around the game start to look great.

The main issue is the GUI, and the navigation in space who is not intuitive.

It lack of contextual menu, clik on a ship to give him order, and not "select N/A an then select the planet", same for information about the planet, maybe with an overlay text.

And also (maybe it's already there but i did saw it) a way to draw the path of any ship (when you move over the name of a ship in the list for example).

For me that's the main issue, because to play this game you have to love those kind of game, that's all.

And as a management game, it's pretty fun! :)

Everybody knows where the Godfather is by dunin 2014-09-01T19:51:00

The theme and graphics are really nice.
Actually the simple interrogation process is evry intuitive, my only critic is that maybe characters are moving too fast. But actually even with Dumb AI, the game is pretty nice and fun. The soundtracj could also be better but that really a details.

Salutation d'un autre ludum darer français! ;)

4 Dimensions by Delicious Code 2014-08-26T23:05:00

Great idea but i think that the weakness came from the control (who looks like more set for a plateformer), and the background who is beautiful but strangely disconnected.

For the rest, great music, good idea, simple, efficient, and an amazing level design, i think that you could found a way to make the levels procedural.

A well polished game, with a great concept who is in the theme.

Really nice... and bring us MORE LEVELS! ;)

Behind the Data by Laralyn 2014-08-25T20:04:00

The introduction is amazing, the timing, the sound, the fade. The game runs pretty well, but the glyph are maybe too hard to recognize (or i'm too tired too).
The sound effect and the design of the grid are magical, i'm less fan of the part with the upgrade.
The noise flash image could be more frequent or intense, because it create this computer feeling.

I get some word in the grid, that's really a great idea.

A little bug : you can at some point have the same glyph in two slot, not really a problem, but it gives a strange feeling.

Through the Mirror by cleitoneldorn 2014-08-25T23:20:00

Nice...

The start of the game with the title was just perfect...after the idea works well but with the closed space we lack of this freedom that you give use in the first stage.

The idea works fine and is really more intersting than several connected world that i saw until now.

The music is great but the loop makes it annoying, some simple sound design will make audio even better.

A real great game with a (love) story could became a new "Thoams was alone", really!

Red Universe by Ludorverr 2014-08-25T22:03:00

Nice shooter, well done in pixelart. Even the planet at the beginning are perfect.
The game is pretty fast but shooter's fan loves speed.
It's far from the theme (if we excpect the start story) but it's a real good game.

Conflicting Dimensions by Balint197 2014-08-29T07:12:00

The graphics are not fun, but the main idea, and the game are really fun.

I would make two tweaks :
- multiplyer on separate computer that each player could only see those blocks
- add some physics with friction and weight to allow a player to carry the other and jump with the other on his head.
- make a simple communication system like Journey, to keep this bloc/geometry style ;)

+1 for the saloon style song!

Playable alone for at least the first levels.

Drink the Ink (Text Adventure) by TheExGenesis 2014-08-25T21:13:00

Great idea the text and the animation, but actually it's not my kind of stuff.
Strangely everything work pretty well together song, text, animation.
It lack of some sound effects, but that a great text aventure.

Impact by fallingBear 2014-08-26T22:53:00

Simple and it changed everything.

A real to bring shoot them up to 3D.

It lack of many feature of shooters, but the base is AWESOME!

The choice of colors, rendering, and model, is almost perfect. It still lack of a better game feel, because it's a little bit too "heavy" and "slow", but i truly think it's only a tweak.

I think that you could also consider to make other geometry for the track like a cubic one, and also a sphere.

If you bring some Antichamber spirit (because of the look), it could really be a revolutionnary shooter.

Light&Darkness by xWilQ 2014-08-26T09:29:00

Really great idea! The double pad is hard to master but it works pretty well. The graphics are neat and powerful.

I'm not really good at this kind of game but it's addicting we want to master even if it twist my head.

It just lack of more sound and it could be fully fun.

Flappy Geek by Geckoo1337 2014-08-25T16:54:00

Simple but efficient, i really like the "time saved" when you loose, it just lack of something specific when you die near a specific "time trap". It just lack of a Flappy Geek block inside the game! ;)

Close Your Eyes by nonetheless 2014-09-01T05:46:00

Actually it could was an excellent entry for the "you only get one" theme.
Simple as possible and full of possibilities, at the end is still a switched world game but with this powerful simplicity, but the hardest timing.
The design is not only nice, it is merely perfect, i'm not fan of the difficulty of the first "normal" level who is maybe too high, but it's only tweak and playtest.

My only critic is that the first idea of only make the world disappear when you close your eyes whas so perfect that i was a little bit sad when things start to appear when you close... ;)

The game was really great.

Transforce by ZoneOne2 2014-08-26T19:21:00

The basic idea is awesome but maybe it could be more fun with a less timing based gameplay.
The game is really hard to master, even when you understand how (like with the first 3 level) it's really hard to get the things done... but i'm not a good player! ;)

Actually your main idea is so powerful that you could imagine so many game, even one with interaction between levels.

Great prototype, great job!

> Continue by ratking 2014-09-02T18:54:00

Like i love, simple and SO powerful.
Like many collaborative experiment it could fall into sexual, religious, anger speech... but it could also emerge with truly surprising option who create a powerful adventure.
The purpose is noble, the final could be terrible, but at the end the path would always be wonderful.
+5 for the innovation ;)

The Beginning by Nuclear Napalm 2014-08-29T06:37:00

Actually i see the end coming... in the video!
+1 to have finish yourself a really hard game(some people can't finish their own game! ;) )

The level design and mechanisme became more interesting (and so hard!) in the last levels/

Everything is well polished, design, movement, control, even the particles. As is said too hard for me, but a good game.

Stay in Fate by sneeuwpopsneeuw 2014-08-26T09:45:00

Real nice looking game. The work on sprite is really impressive, it's sad that the ennemies are just square.

Actually the fight are hard to manage, and the physics lack of inertia, but it's a real good base. I'm less fan of the music but really impressive, in regard of the number of tool used.

A Dance of Fire And Ice by fizzd 2014-09-01T05:30:00

Maybe the ONLY rythm'game i ever liked.
The idea of the two star is simple but create an unusual feeling compared to the "line" spirit of any rythm game.
I'm really fan of the track, and the background effect.
Real nice and fun game.

Connected buddies by Scarounet 2014-08-25T18:07:00

The same for me, i start with a BIG idea, but thanks to my wife, i came with something that i can achieve during the 2 days.
The idea is classic but efficient, but it's more like a proof of concept, but i really like the look of the game (pixel art and greyscale), the size of your game is really nice and give him a great look.

Actually i was hoping more puzzle/level.

But like you i was also beat by the level design, make the game OK but we have to make levels also (i start 1 hour before the end ;) )
I really think that you could make some level and release the game.
N.B.: i think that the text "Enter E", etc... should in pixel art style like the start menu for the look of the game.

Super Pom Porom Quest 2 by Ramori 2014-08-25T21:24:00

The idea is obvious, but so well. The game is perfect. Actually there is some problem in the level design, but i look to details because globally it's well.
The character lack of a fluffy-like aniamtion, and maybe some specific power, or more cross worlds action (doing this here, do this in the other world).
And what about story... ;)

Good feeling, Great coding, Great graphics, a real good surprise.

VENN by OFF 2014-08-25T16:56:00

First game and first trap, i had work so much on it that the game seems simple and obvious to me! But i think that the game could be more happy, and give clues (overlay, or text).
Thanks for the rate.

VENN by OFF 2014-08-25T19:52:00

To Laralyn : that's the main problem, many people didn't figure the HOW, i work maybe too much one the graphics, and not enough on the simple fact of helping the player to enter into my game. :(
To 43iscoding : i'm aware of this glitch, it's because the crossing detection is based on timing, and not really on geometry. :P
I have found at one point how to avoid that :
- prevent the player of sending a circle from point who are too close.

But i didn't have the time to fully implement it. But you are a killer to found it.

VENN by OFF 2014-08-25T22:47:00

to g_o : you get it! Actually if there wasn't the timing the game will be pure maths, but the timing create the difficulty when you understand the figure.

I will try to solve this double clik glitch, actually the game was think for mobile device to avoid multiple shot on same point, but a mouse is not a finger.

But with feedback ans seeing others puzzle game, i understand that i had to give clues to player before, but also during the game to help them understand.

Maybe had a TUTORIAL LEVEL with overlay, and explanation.

Sad :(

VENN by OFF 2014-08-26T17:46:00

I REMOVE THE FAST-FIRE GLITCH! :)

Not perfect but it was really a problem to let people really play and understand the game.

Thanks for the support, without all those comment i maybe didn't get the time to fix that.

VENN by OFF 2014-08-26T22:58:00

To Morusque : that's really one of the lack of the game, it's not a serious game about logic, it's a "funny" interpretation of the Venn Diagram.
I have some ideas to bring back proprieties inside the game but it will required some work.

But we are all at this point... ;)

VENN by OFF 2014-08-27T22:12:00

Playtesting power!

To awesomeusername : that's one of the main issue of the game, the circle didn't have to stop on the circle just to cross "at any time" over the circle. To make the game in 48h i have use a trick where it's the timing who validate the crossing on a icon. I tried to make the game consider the fact that a circle is already in place, but it didn't work well. The code was so a mess that i decide to let the game like that, but i should explaine more precisely that "the timing is important". Thanks for the feedback.

To Ikr : glitch creator, i didn't even imagine this one, but based on the code that's logical, i had to made one more tweak. No more click on icon! Thanks a lot. ;)

VENN by OFF 2014-08-28T21:50:00

To ZeppelinCaptain : that's a great idea, it could avoid this fix circle /no detected bug. Thanks for the idea!

Connect the Bridges by GameDevExtreme 2014-08-27T21:08:00

Simple and pretty fun.
Not fan of the graphics (the glow on the sprite make see the border :( ) , it could enjoy i think a more abstract look like several game. There is two main issue : we don't know the price of things so we get a lot of error message (with the annoying sound), we can't anticipate a strategic use of bridge.

It could be nice that
- connecting some planet between them bring more people (because there is more population)
- you can't connect directly certain planet for war reason, or anything else
- that travelling by a small planet reduce the amount of people
- that you have to protect building against things
- upgrade take time and block the use of the bridge
- not an infinite map, but maybe small map with an objective

You could also make visible the flow of people like in this game : http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-30/?action=preview&uid=41282

With more understanding, i could stay hour on a game like that.

Ultimatum by Asbrion 2014-08-25T21:04:00

The game is amazingly well done, but still simple. Actually the idea of passing around the mobile device, is a really great idea for social gaming, actually it could really be a great base for a Diplomacy game.

Because i played it alone, i feel a lack of choice, but that's enough for several player around a mobile device.

The Title Screen is magical.

Relative to Scale by Peach Pie Productions 2014-08-29T06:54:00

Spore spirit.

Some minor tweaks allow to quickly quit the start menu, and maybe a sound when you start because the fade is really slow.

The first level is really nice, but i think that as we became bigger the small amibe should avoid us (except if they are with a big one), it could make the challenge more evoluting.
Nice music, graphics are perfect and coherent.

Not fan of the second level, a little bit disconnected, and it's not really working as a shoot them up.

Next level are variation of the first and became badly finished, the collision system who work well with amibe, seems strange with lezard.

A little bit too disconnected for me but that's great. I think that making just a sclaed based amibe style game (like the start of Spore) would made a great entry.

The first level is really nice, and well polished.

Nice game.

Foo by LPeter1997 2014-08-26T09:20:00

Obvious but SO GOOD! I'm impress by the fact that you use no libraries or middleware et get such a level of quality.

The level is smart, and the idea of outline for the other world is really good (it lacks in many game like yours).

One critic the character lack of inertia and it makes the make a little bit nervous, and badly hard, but really that's a detail.

The character is maybe too detailled compared to the world, but separately the two are great but not enough connected.

The background are wonderful.

Addicting, fun = time killer game!

HEAL by Stepwise 2014-08-29T07:04:00

The sprite are amazing, and the main idea is really interesting, that"s a conditionnal switch but as you made it make this a little bit more fun.
Actually that a great level as a proff of concept, but with more couple it could be cool.
Control are a little bit slow to reacte but that's not a drama.
Actually it's just sad for the level who could be nice looking with a simple tile sprite even a small 8x8.
But that's a cool idea, and you make us hungry.
More levels pleeaaaasse! ;)

Planetary Conformity by Healthire 2014-08-26T19:59:00

I'm really jealous...
1-you make me discover Love2D who had been perfect for my game.
2-your game rules are so simple that everyone understand it (mine is hard to explain, more to understand)
3-the puzzle design is amazing, each level bring new challenge, mastering of some technic or new kind of planet
4-Except for the title of each, i'm pretty sure that the game could be made procedural to create infinite levels.

You kill me ;)

There is 3 issues :
- lack of sound
- a RESTART function when you know that you have missed the good path.
- the control is style weird for me : made link and broke link between green planet could be made more clearly actionable.

For the rest, great theme, nice look, great physics, and a lot of levels. What else do you want? ;)

TimeKiller!

Between Worlds by Eduardo 2014-08-25T22:12:00

Real nice game but i'm a little bit lost by the level design, i'm not sure of where i have to go.
For the rest, the graphics and the sound are amazing(like Thomas was alone in speed way), the idea works pretty well, even if i'm not sure of "how" and "why" it works.

But i can stay hours in this kind of maze.

Connectiverse by Bernte 2014-08-27T21:23:00

The game itself is hard to manage, because it's hard to see an easy strategy for newbie like at those games.

But your GUI, and look are awesome, i was fan of the look when you turn around your planet but when you start to game it makes the choose of the good path really hard :
- use same size planet to make clear the distance from us
- use depth of field, or any equivalent (spatial fog, etc..) to give to the player a clear sense of the distance.

If it's your first time in javascript, your next game will be amazing, because this one is cool (even if i can't really judge the difficulty) : simple idea, great look, the song is really deep, and the mouse control, and the GUI are really brillant (exception for the rules, who are badly shown ;).

Triple Threat by bORAT 2014-08-27T21:55:00

Good idea same critic about AI to really try the game. Actually the graphics, and the GUI are really neat, nice, it's like many video/boardgame but even the choice of icon each group is really nice.
Can't say if the game is entertaining, well-balanced or challenging but as a first try, it get all my interest.

Shared Destiny by Pesty 2014-08-25T22:25:00

Simple but powerful, you made real intersting level but maybe you could imagine a morepregressive way. The black and white style is intersting but the graphics and the font could be maybe better to create a more trendy look, more classic.

Actually some level are maybe too scary for a free game, even if there is a solution...

At the end i'm always impressed by puzzle design and here it's well done even with hard puzzle... the hardest to design ;)

InterSection by Miziziziz 2014-08-26T22:02:00

This is insane.
The idea is brillant, but not enough explain, when you understant exactly how to perform that's really amazing.

The level design is maybe not perfect but we could imagine expansion on the same idea, to make it more playable.

The idea of the two views help a lot, but it's hard to understand to see what we do in the giant screen.

I think that there is a way to make the thing more suitable : working with a small scale level design, that's the player could see from his point of view, with more real-time, ennemies on different track and less puzzle, or removing the big screen to focus on the second view to make it a more abstract puzzle game, more based on action and less on jump, and trajectory.

That's awesome, your insight is so powerful that he could bring so many games. We saw Crush, Fez, Paper Mario, bring the play between 2D and 3D, you could imagine the same with the play between 2D and 2D ;)

Fourth dimension by Slowian 2014-08-28T22:39:00

You kill my arm! ;)

The game could deserve better graphics with a such simple idea, more like art and also a powerful game, the purpose make our action a little bit despair, but that's really a beautiful game.

The game could deserve some events or even to clik at some point on a certain object, even more element.

By using more realistic/graphical element, and various sound, the game could became more creepy/sad and powerful,in my opinion.

For now that's the based ghost-game i ever played!

Clashing Galaxies by lkr 2014-08-27T22:27:00

Real good base, i saw several game like that but here the realtime of the grow create a intense challenge. The difficulty had to be lower a little bit, and the GUI over the planet as to be more clear, and big to allow the player to make goog decision. The name of planet create maybe a useless confusion, in game who is fully abstract.
Hard but good.

Mispool by veryfinestlions 2014-08-25T23:11:00

I think that the goal is pretty clear. I think that the theme is a little bit too far but after 5s the game became the best pool game i ever played!

Actually the execution is pretty simple, and maybe the game could be less "pool-looked", but after that the game feel is excellent, and you drive your ball with feeling.

Could had some GUI for information but even like that the game is fun.

IDEA : add other situation like golf to change from the same set.

Space Haulers LLC by Kaelaholme 2014-08-26T05:06:00

Interesting game, hard to use at first but quickly it became really interesting. The level design lack of variety but it works well and its challenging.
At first i was worried that it was an other flappybird like game... ;)

Bacon Installer by badlydrawnrod 2014-08-26T21:34:00

The look of the game is pretty awesome, and i love the parallax effect maybe it gives headache to somepeople but i love it. The game is hard to manage, and more because i have try the game in an AZERTY keyboard.. you could imagine the mess.

The game is hard but not more than any 8bit oldschool game thats we can found on the web.

One chiptune song and it will be perfect.

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

The Paper Dance by TravisChen 2014-12-11T20:41:00

The graphics are simple but amazing.
Actually the idea is great but the game side with point is not perfectly integrated at a certain point we are not sure of who we are, and even why the points are groing.
The fight between the black and white dancers is a great idea, but i think that if the game was stayed in a paper cut style (no rotation) it would have been a better game.
But still one of the best mood that i have seen for now.

Behind The Screen - Thanks Ralph Baer by psychopsam 2014-12-12T11:34:00

The main idea is really nuts but amazing, the main issue is that it's actually quickly repetitive. The idea would be really fun with a plateformer for exemple and sprite instead of pixel.
The game is also badly explain, i had to look to a screenshot to understand where draw the player but whe it's became clear the game became almost strategic.
Nice idea, and good execution.

HEAVY METAL SPACE PIZZA DELIVERY by camdensegal 2014-12-08T15:36:00

Not the most beautiful but really logic. The physics and the level design are perfect, and fun.

It's pretty addictive, i only think that the customers could have a better design than just a circle, but it's still working and clear even for a new user.

The game feel is really great, and more with the sound and shake when the spaceship is moving.

Game like i love, you start to play for Ludum Dare, and you stop one hour later before you boss fires you.

To Continue by raincole 2014-12-11T13:33:00

Really nice idea, i had the exact global idea but didn't figure out how to make a game with. Your basic is really nice.
It's a little bit difficult, and there is not enough variation but it's defintevely a great idea to make a bigger game, maybe with more audio, people speaking around the person or with an hospital noise.
Really perfect for the theme.
Great job.

Glow Drop by Gamepopper 2014-12-09T21:47:00

Even better than Bejewled and Tetris, the only tricky aspect is that is hard to be sure sometimes if circle touch each other but it works really well.
Direct on my mobile phone for travel! ;)

Drunk Ninja Vs Alien by Maurogik 2014-12-12T13:06:00

Really fun idea, it's hard to manage the move of the arm, but with a more realistic skeleton and joint it could make something really fun to play.
The bullet time effect on hit is awesome and give a great depth to the gameplay.
It only lack of more precision, and even variation, but that's one of the rare beatthemall in this LD.

Juoi by TeamEagle 2014-12-13T19:39:00

Make me think to Hyperlight Drifter.

Truly nice, make the level before the boss and i will buy a game like that.

The control and the game feel are really perfect.

The Room by Spilim 2014-12-12T13:15:00

Really hard but the basic idea work pretty well, and fits nicely to the theme.
It would be better if the color under you didn't change to avoid surprise death, and maybe a less linear movement with more smoothness no give a better game feel.
But it's still a simple but powerful idea, weird at a certain point but great.

Voxey Adventure by Pepelumen 2014-12-12T11:25:00

Really nice basics, the look is nice and i love the movement of the cubes when you walk on them. I'm less fan of the main character but it works.
The puzzle are really simple but badly explain.
A good base to make a nice looking game.

Mr. Kaplan by lasagnegames 2014-12-12T11:20:00

The rythm part didn't work but the interview part is a really great idea.
I always wanted to work on a gam about Theory of Mind for autistic people, and your game give me a really great trail. Using the good face emotion in the good situation.
It's a little bit hard to read and take control of the game, maybe with audio instead of text it would have been more intuitive, and you could in this case implement tone speak.
Inspiring. :)

Make It Count. by Kabukky 2014-12-12T13:27:00

Nice for a 3D game, but it lack of more "game" sequence, the time game is a little bit tricky, and didn't give enough feeedback to know if we are doing well.
The story is intriguing and could really be pusjed further.
I'm a big fan of the way you display text, and transition that give a real depth to the game.
More game more story. Please ;).

Quantum Architect by zdonkeyx 2014-12-12T13:45:00

As other said there is a bug for the walking.
The puzzle is well designed, hard and sometimes obvious.
The control are also buggy it's hard to move the square sometimes, it would have been simple like in Monument Valley a "go where i click".
For the rest the graphic, the sound and the mood are awesome, this idea became classical but you are doing it so well that without bug i think this game could as awesome as Thomas was Alone...if you add a story ;)

murder of Zafu by Franklin's Ghost 2014-12-08T12:30:00

Nice idea it reminds me the game based on the movie The Shining where you have to close your eyes before seeing the twins ghost.

With more levels, an increasing difficulty and a punishement when you close the light too soon, it could be a real good mini-game.

We can imagine level with false alarm, and even several killers for the same target.

Simple but efficient.

More levels please! :)

Dread Keep by Frump 2014-12-12T10:56:00

Nice trick to allow several screen ;)
As said by many the only critic are the control of the game who are too reactive.
For the rest it's classical and efficient but the game feel is reall bad because of the control.
But it's only a matter of tweak and game testing.
An amazing amount of work.
I will try the post compo with a lot of pleasure.

Node Alpha by Geckoo1337 2014-12-11T21:06:00

Contact Cowboy by jrap 2014-12-12T10:37:00

Remember me hidden in plain sight.
Really fun in the idea and totally in the theme.
The most impressive is the graphics quality for 48h, even if sprite

Contact Cowboy by jrap 2014-12-12T10:38:00

are simple it's really well done.
It only lack of music and sound. But that's really great.

INTERSECTION by OfficialDingbat 2014-12-12T10:22:00

Remind Burnout with the mode "Destruction", but the purpose is not as clear. It's a lot random so maybe the game could to create at least a crash, and an other version would be to make the most crash but in this case, it required a time limit, or a finite number of try/cars, because it's endless.
The physics is fun but it lack of spectacular, maybe some particules or simple explosion.
But fun to play wih.

Arena of Cube by maxyan 2014-12-13T07:07:00

Simple and powerful. The different color with new feature are nice, and the scoreboard are really great.
I have only critic on the hitbox of the shoot who seems fuzzy but it's maybe due to the orthogonal camera.
But eeven with that it's pretty addictive.
The difficulty level is just perfect, well made, and well tweaking.

Zombie City by Samm 2014-12-12T11:12:00

Good board game, it's fun to be able to work alone but it lack of clear GUI with information, or even simplest game objective to make the game faster and shorter.
Maybe having some sound effects could make this a better board game on videogame (like heartstone).
I'm not sure that the rules are perfectly balanced, i feel too strong but that was fun to play with.
A box version maybe ;)

Hyper Wall by SinclairStrange 2014-12-13T15:15:00

A really solid entry, you deserve more comments, and votes;
Some ideas because the game is great :
- use the background particule to indicate the next orientation of the walls, it will allow you to make them com faster and avoid some waiting
- a more progressive difficulties, i have seen sometimes some "corner" walls who are just impossible, and it was the third walls.
- put it on mobile, it totally fits and could be a real hit
- make some moving on the side walls, to create an other level of difficulty.

A really fun and simple game, it's not tricky with the theme but that works.

What engine did you use?

;)

And now go to post compo. :)

Mascarpone by Domicuc 2014-12-11T20:49:00

Simple but good tower defense, classical but well done. It's just sad that the cooking theme was not really used, the words are here but it's still square and dot.
But thats a really great idea to make a tower defense cooking game.
Could really be a good game.

Get Out by rodobodolfo 2014-12-09T22:13:00

If you except the lack of animation on character graphically it's really nice : color, light. And the audio feel very well.

It seems that you had the same issue than me too much focus on the look and not enough game.

But i'm pretty curious to see your LD32! ;)

Captain's Retirement by Wuschli 2014-12-08T15:27:00

Nice space trade game not too small, not too big. Actually it works well but it lack of more graphics mostly for characters, a great add could be also some simple animation for travelling.

The perfect add could be a simple indication of moneuy balance for each trade option.

Not my stuff, but it works with no bugs, and it's in the theme. What else? ;)

Cuberot by guldlock 2014-12-17T10:17:00

Simple but really well made, the transition between the face are really smooth. The use of the gravity for the block is not obvious or clear that's one of the main issue of the game.
I'm also not fan of the control settings, it's good but the change in direction create some confusion.
To finish maybe an orthogonal camera in Unity could create a better look in the game. But that's only my taste.

BounceEmUp by Kuality Games 2014-12-11T21:13:00

Really well made game, the physic is really perfect and the sound effects are gorgeous.
But actually in order to perfectly be in the theme, your game could be describe as a pinball fighting game, and by imagining the same idea inside a real pinball would make, in my opinion an insane game.
Still a really fun game, but imagine futuristice pinball fighting game of robots.
Perfect! ;)

Core by MrSun 2014-12-12T10:50:00

Truly amazing!
Simple idea, simple control and a lot of fun.
It's like Super Hexagon but it work pretty well and in only 48h.

My only critic are on the music (it lack of the epic feel of the Chipzel song), and the theme it's not purely abstract, and graphics like SuperHexagon, and there is not a graphical theme like a real digger with a Spelunky look for example.
The jump is too rigid to give us a freedom feeling, maybe by allowing the jump to go until the other side of the circle.
And the crossed square is not the better choice as an avatar.

The fact that you can also only dig at one spot make the game maybe too rigid, allowing to dig everywhere but with more ennemy will already give more flow to the game.

But still a really fun playable (and it's not usual even here) game.

Remote Control by Louisload 2014-12-12T00:10:00

A perfect idea for the theme, but the cost of die & retry is maybe too high, it would be interesting to previz the other level in thumbnail or not die directly.

Dream Visions by zulubo 2014-12-08T14:56:00

The story is interesting but the screen where we play is maybe too small in the picture, the game could be better if you enlarge it, to make the action more clear.

For the game itself, it works not incredible, but for a first game in Ludum Dare that's great, there is all element, and it's more complete that's some "finished" games.

It lacks of using the Dream idea, maybe distortion, change of reality or a switch between several patient.

I hope you're second game will be better.

Walled by KawiTeam 2014-12-14T20:11:00

Un petit commentaire en français pour changer! ;)

Memories of Seasons by ncannasse 2014-12-08T14:44:00

Simple but really nice, the RPG style is great and the weather system is really incredible for this kind of graphics.
I'm less fan of the story, but it's the difficulty with the game jam, it's hard to enter into a story, specially when she is not linear.

Still a really great game on one screen!

And by the way i love the title of the game.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Mr. Goldberg by Esenti 2015-08-24T09:10:00

Nice idea for an ordinary monster. Not nice looking but seems really strategic.
Is there option with using some guys, criminality rate, or even blackmailing. It could be fun.
Hope to see other version.

Hero Slayer by tobbez 2015-08-26T20:14:00

Interesting idea like a tower defense, actually the game seems too long it took me 1 hour and i didn't defeat an angel.
The game could be shorter and more intense, after a short time it becam a little bit repetitive.
But as i say i play one hour... a little bit addictive! :)

The Creature from East Second Street by emmelineprufrock 2015-08-28T06:20:00

Not the first interactive video is saw on youtube but you have some mood like an independant american movie but... (there is always a but.
The interaction with youtube is really hard, and even using game maker could allow to make a smoother game.
You could have also add caption inside the video.
The effect of the voice is nice but i think that with an human voice it coule work but you have to make the text and scene more clear about the natue of the player.
You could add music but by simply putting everything in a one time moment (with no cut from Youtube) will create already a full mood.
One of my favorite game so far...
(i was an hardcore fan of old interactive movie game! ;) )

Road To Hell by Hyoga-3D 2015-08-25T20:01:00

Nice and fun but
- the game didn't speed enough at each car to give a good feeling.
- It would have been better to have small perspective like in many runner to allow more strategies and less mistakes, and allow a higer speed.
- maybe could it be interesting to increase or decrease the number of track like starting with 2 and finish with a lot (8 or more whatever).
- the car police could be used in a more strategic way : they have to hit an other car, or be pushed out of the road.
- the control could be more step by step to avoid some mistakes like in many runner.
But still a really good entry, beautiful graphics, and fun to play.

Patient ZER0 by cudabear 2015-08-24T09:21:00

I'm impress by the lot of work.
I have an AZERTY keyboard so i need to switch in order to play the full game.
Actually not sure why i'm the monster, but maybe it's at the end of the story. I'm always impress by people who create a full story during the compo.
I'm not an english speaker, but it's still impressive.

Baldaquin VII - The monster of Rome by Marcellus 2015-08-27T05:51:00

Your idea is really great, but i'm not sure that you choose the better way to show it. As first i was thinking that the monster are the men and that story will finish badly.
But you're idea is smarter, maybe by using a more agressive gameplay at the first person view, and create a surprise with a mirror at the end.
For the pure game, the gameplay is too hard, but the idea of the level on the vase is nice it would have been really graphics with a rounded deformation, and maybe a rotation of the vas. A better idea could have been to make the game on a naked greek statut to stay in the theme.
Ans this idea of so pretty that it became horror for people is really a great idea for a game.

Pedestrian Slaughterer by Linus123xbb 2015-08-28T21:25:00

Reminds me Carmaggedon. It would be better to have some life, to not be killed at each hit. It just lack maybe of a road to drive.
Still fun with the ragdoll physics.

Where am I ? by Manou 2015-08-24T18:49:00

Really short but nice. I really like the lighting, mainly in the first room.
I don't see why i'm a monster, but i really like those in the cage even if they are like plastic. I'm not a unreal user so i can't figure out the difficulty of making that, but it's really well polished, and i really like the simple UI.
Could have been a nice hide & seek game with this master that you don't have to seen.

Passengers by nerial 2015-08-28T21:06:00

For the game side it seems not perfectly balanced, it's hard to finish and random event are too mant powerful.
But as itself it's really a powerful experiment, a serious game who speaks well of this subject. And for the theme it's not simply good, it's smart, deep, create really this feeling of being a monster, and just not playing a monster as we play a hero.
I'm impressed because even if today i had to do a game like yours, i'm not sure of what i could even made.
Et comme on dit en france, chapeau bas, je suis impressioné.

Little monster's way back to home by BuddaKaeks 2015-08-24T11:21:00

Really nice game, the main feature is interesting and well used. It's hard to play with keyboard, because your game required a good timing. But it work well, not sure about the theme and the monster side, but a really interesting basis for a good plateformer.
There is maybe too much inertia for this kind of mechanics.

Like many other interactive stories, you allow to real play a "monster" deeply.
I'm impress by the use of the video, because they create a real mood and not a cheap realism.
Actually i think the end is maybe too explicit, and the game would have been better by speaking at the first person and not narrator. Also maybe allowing a bigger impression of control before the "end". Also i think that the font is maybe hard to read, and break the game feel.
You could take a look at "Monster" who is also an interactive story in the same kind of "story"
This feeling of playing a ghost is really powerful.
Nice entry, and really a different kind of interactive fiction.

My planet needs me! by reiknight 2015-08-27T16:09:00

That's a great concept but could have been more complex. The detection of the human when he go back is too sensitive because he see you even if you can see his field of view. That's make the first shadow insanely hard.
There only a tutorial but that's better that some game (like mine) who didn't have one, and let the player in the dark.
And could have been more fun with a kid to avoid instead of an adult at least for the first stage.

Soup by JoshDBB 2015-08-27T13:51:00

Nice game but lack of a game over to create more tension like osmos, or agar.
I would personnaly also prefer a control with the mouse to let me have à more organic feeling.
It lack only few element to make this more a game(score, game over) and less an interactive experiment.
But still one of the more interesting entry i saw.

The Gold Eaters by OFF 2015-08-26T06:28:00

Thanks you all
To Mantis:
the speed is due to a bug in with null object. Actually i built the game and keep several value for tweaking but it's still not perfect.
To boardtobits:
The small one move fatser than the big ones, the purpose was to create a challenge in the coin chase.
To Insality:
It's my first battle system actually the fact that you didn't have reaction or visual indication of a hit make the battle really bad. And there is no restart system...
To Sergi Montaner:
Thanks for the music, it's my first time with Ableton Live.
And again sorry for the battle system. :(

The Gold Eaters by OFF 2015-08-26T12:50:00

To Tobbez :
Thanks for a precise feedback. I like it.
The track is 3min30 long but it's only based on 4 loops that are layered. First time not enough variation maybe based on action, but it lacks also of sound effects to create variation in the audio.
My apologie for the battle system, as i said earlier i have to code the hit animation, or even a point. The battle are not well balanced, because i had issue with battle too easy, enad then i pushed the difficulty too much further.
The blur is a matter of taste if think, when you grow it became less annoying, but it could be more living like the bloom i add.

Pass The Salt by Feetsalot 2015-08-31T17:46:00

As a first game, it worked and that's good. You have a start a UI, and a game over.
I will speak about problems but that's really a matter of advice:
- the camera view is bigger than the UI, you just have to change the size of the camera in Unity.
- when we fail don't restart the scene but try to restart directly the game
- you can create an easy tutorial simply by adding direct text overlay during the game for each action
- as a game it's too complex, and way too complex for a first game, the basic idea of finding salt could be really good for a simple game, even with strategic.
First step, first game, first error, but keep going it's always fun.
Maybe you could try a more longer jam like one month one game, in order to have time for tweak, and try things.
Good luck for your next game.

Go to http://compohub.net/, that's a good start for finding all jam with description. good luck

Jenkaiu by PeYMaN 2015-08-28T18:04:00

REally nice game lack maybe of more challenge : time limit, people inside the building, zone to avoid on the building, fire to avoid. But the game is really well finished. It could have been evne more old looking even in the graphics, but it's still very impressive.

Midnight Bootleg by Pastry 2015-08-26T20:42:00

Short an really nice. The idea is simple but all the things work together, even the final scene, and the end.
One of the best entry i have seen so far.
And the waiting is so meaningful, and reminds me personal moment.
Nice, short, meaningful! What else?

Chirping Of Blood by onilink_ 2015-08-25T20:35:00

Nice shooter. I like the idea of the blood on the wind shield but it lack of some more capabilities for the enemy.
I'm also not fan of the inertia of the ship, but it's already playable, and challenging.
And maybe more blood could be better... ;)

Mild Mannered Richard by DarkwindMedia 2015-08-28T06:09:00

Well polished, there is strange feeling in the gameplay due to the waiting time, not really a delay or maybe due to the kayboard play, but it think that with a more faster chareg time you could give more flow to the game (and also for the second jump).
But that's a really well polished game, well balanced, but i have this sticky feeling (maybe due to the fact that you stick to many walls) that remove me some part of the fun.
But really great job, it's only a matter of tweaking to end with a great plateformer.

Power Lich by rattower 2015-08-27T06:24:00

Really fun and challenging.
Actually reaction from zombie would have been cool in order to avoid mass murder by a poor soldier.
Could be more fun with archer and other kind of zombie, skeleton, and also upgrade for creature by choice or automatically with xp point when they fight.
It lack of screams and war sound great.

Monster in a spaceship by cheery 2015-08-26T20:49:00

Nice idea, the controls are unusual but the AI make the job, it's simple but hard to master.
The simple graphics are interesting but it lack of more sense, maybe by making the level like a rescue map as you found them in building (the map with the exit in case of fire), just to add more logic.
It lack of sound but its still really funny to play.

The Monster of the Computer by -muffin- 2015-08-26T21:23:00

The game is a little bit confusing, and seems to stop at certain time but it's a good idea.
The audio intro is unusual but a good surprise.
There could be more factor, or maybe a better representation of the lag himself.

The Alchemist by SKT 2015-08-27T06:00:00

I didn't finish the game because it became too hard for me at a ecrtain point but that's some of the best cut scene i have scen so far, not perfect but nice and funny.
The game is sadly not as nice and and maybe not perfect in animation of the jump, but the level design is nice, and the monsters well add (+1 for the "same time moving" monsters).
And the idea of "becoming a monster" is a great variation of the main theme where in many game we just start as monster.

MonsterChomper by NathanFlurry 2015-08-24T09:07:00

I would love a version of Angry Birds like yours. If the ragdoll was more human lookings, the blood more realistic, and the monsters scarier the game could be a perfect mobile game.
What was the procedural part? The tree, the level design? I can't figure out.
Last but not least, i took time to rate this game not because i'm a serious guy, but simply because it was FUN!
More BLOOD please!

Back for Dinner by Thomas Olsson 2015-08-24T18:00:00

Really great work for 48h, it lack maybe of more life bar to avoid certain hard situation, or maybe one more capabilities (hide in dirt, invisibility)
The game is really impressive. I really like the alien alphabet, and the introduction scene (something that lack to many games)
The upgrade system could be more fun with special effects (acid, etc...) but it would be more for the post compo.
As we use to say in France : tout ça en 48h je suis sur le c**. ;)

Greetings, Human by boardtobits 2015-08-25T20:24:00

Really interesting interpretation of the theme, the difficulty seems well balanced. It's really a matter of speed and not a puzzle as i did understand but it's really efficient, and tricky.

UFO by Polyganz 2015-08-24T21:36:00

Simple and fun.
It lacks of indication about clicking on object.
The level design is sometimes messy... but you can't attack anything and that's cool.
And i love the fact that you have to make th UFO roll. Hilarious!

Motherflipin' T-Rex! by mantis 2015-08-25T20:05:00

Hilarious and fun. It lack of 3D small humans, or maybe make the entire game in draw like style.
The only problem is that is hard to read where the attack came from, and be a little bit strategic.
But it was really fun to play...
